Although the building was being remodeled our salesman made everything very pleasant. We selected a car from another Lynn Layton site and phoned our salesman to have the car brought to the ford site. It was there when we arrived and we drove it. A very nice car. We believe we got a very fair price and overall are happy with our experience. The only complaint we have is that the car was advertised and had a plate on the rear stating 'pre-certified'. We were told it is not pre-certified. Since this factored into our decision to buy we talked about it with the dealer and we were satisfied when we left. The 3 stars are a direct result of the pre-certification problem.

Told him what I was looking for, and he said he would get right on it. Long story short Marty Steelman took care of me, as far as price and getting the best discounts . Although made contact to be there Sat am, pre-approved financing in hand, car picked out and on the lot, process to complete the deal still took 3 hours. Do not blame salesman but there has got to be a quicker process, especially when no test drive is taken and limited negotiation is needed to close the deal. I may use the service department because it is convenient to where I live, but would be reluctant at this point to consider another car purchase.

We have always been treated great by everyone there-- from the sweet lady that directs our calls, to sales people, like Marty Steelman. Vickie Denton, who has always been helpful by giving us information about the last two Suv's we purchased! Not only did she give us all the operational information, but has always answered every question with knowledge and understanding! I did not plan on buying a truck, but I had been thinking about upgrading. I called Lynn Layton Ford and by luck, spoke to Mr. Marty Steelman. What a calm salesperson and a very good man to boot. We did everything by email (I live in TN) and then I drove down to see what he spoke about. I would recommend Mr. Steelman to anyone. Everything was done just as he said it would be and I loved that at the end they did not push a bunch of fees or cost on the purchase. I had been looking for a new truck - but only online. I found one that match my criteria at Lynn Layton and made a phone call. By luck, I was connected to Mr. Marty Steelman. What a fine individual (which I think is rare in the car sales business) He was fair - not pushy... my wife and I drove to the dealership (from TN) and the best part is that things were exactly as they said it was. They did not try to add any fees or anything at the end. I would recommend anyone to visit Mr. Steelman - he was fair, he did just what he said he would do... and I felt very good when I left, which is always a rare feeling for me leaving a dealership. I know that I will be making the drive from TN to buy my next car as well - thank you.

Wonderful experience, which are two words rarely put together when dealing with cars salespersons. They have a nice selection of cars and trucks and is worth the drive from Huntsville. I rated Facilities as N/A due to the upgrade/construction going on as it wouldn't be fair to downgrade when they are making improvements. Loved them so much I'm buying a second car from them!

Our sales professional listened to what we wanted, found 2 vehicles on the sales lot that fit our needs but had slightly different features. After searching several Ford Dealership websites, I found the car I was looking for at Lynn Layton. When I arrive at the dealership I was met by Chris Howard. I told him what car I was interested in and he found it immediately. I was shocked to discover that I and my husband could test drive it without the sales person in the car. The salesman nor the finance officer never disclosed the APR on the loan. On-line I was lead to believe the interest rate was 2.99%. You sign electronically and you never see the first page of the APR. Then they shove it in an envelope and when I got in the car I found out it was 5.99%. My bank's APR was 1.79%. Watch your paperwork before you sign.

Internet shopping allows buyers to purchase from anywhere in the country. My call in to this sales department was friendly and helpful from the get-go. The salesman sent me requested information and pictures (!) ASAP to help me verify what I was looking for and shopping for. The follow-up calls and lead-up to the purchase were all met with a helpful hello. The actual purchase went smoothly and all the staff that I dealt with in the purchase and aftermarket installation through the parts dept were excellent to deal with. Pricing was by far the best in the tri-state area. If you're shopping for a Ford, get a price from these folks and compare!

This included multiple calls to establish value for my trade in, time determining the right vehicle, searching to find the vehicle I decided on, rebates and financing options to get the money right, and then 3 attempts to get the right vehicle from other dealers. At the end of all this team effort my "right" vehicle arrived and was prepped for delivery. But the team was not done yet. The New Car Delivery specialist spent 1 1/2 hours showing me how to use and get the best from my new F150 and all its gadgets...and I am an Engineer! Although this is the first time I have bought a vehicle from Lynn Layton Ford, there predecessor had serviced our Expedition for years and the service department has always been outstanding. The Mustang we bought yesterday is the first new Mustang purchase we've made. From Carl the salesman to Austin the internet manager to Vickie the delivery specialist, it was an outstanding experience. Each person was a specialist in their field answering every question, no matter how outlandish. Vickie spent about an hour just reviewing all of the features of the Mustang we bought. She showed in the manual where to find things if I couldn't remember all of what we covered, but she did such a great job taking her time with us that I don't think we'll need a refresher. Wow the features are many... Vickie also reminded us that she has review training sessions if need be. Customer care is outstanding from start to finish!

I'd never used the internet to purchase before but they made it easy. Arrived the next day and they were waiting outside with the car pulled out up front. They took my 2013 Explorer into the service dept and rotated the tires and changed the oil for FREE while I did the paperwork for the 2013 Focus SE I purchased for my son. Carl Swanson, the service dept, and the finance dept were friendly and honest. The price was the same on paper as we had discussed over the phone. I've bought several cars over my lifetime and this was the best experience EVER. I was in and out in less than an hour. Used Ford Build and Price online to evaluate options on 2015 Explorer. Then sent email to Mr. Marty Steelman. Mr. Steelman responded same day with Explorers that met my requirements. Mr Steelman researched incentives and provided prompt OTD price as requested. Next, I requested a trade-in evaluation of my 2013 Explorer. That evaluation was provided in a timely manner and I immediately accepted the offer. Mr. Steelman offered a early appointment the following day and the deal was closed very very quickly and I was out the door with the new Explorer in under an hour. I have never purchased a vehicle, and there have been many, with the courtesy and efficiency as this one from Lynn Layton Ford., Decatur Alabama.

Pulled into service at 4 PM. one car ahead of me. A service Rep was helping that customer. A high value pickup pulls up, and another service Rep bypassed me to go directly to that truck. A while later a second pickup pulls in, and the Rep bypasses me again to help that truck. Finally when I do get their attention, and explain my problems, he tells me that they can't help as they are about to close. Note what time I pulled in, and note that their service hours are until 5:30 PM. After insisting that he look at the problem he says that it can wait until Monday. I decided to pull around to the body shop and have them take a look. (The problem was a part hanging down from below the car.) This nice man got down on his hands and knees, put the part back in place and added a new bolt. He would not accept payment. This has not been an isolated incident with Lynn Layton Ford Service. They do not follow-up when they have to order parts, we have to continually call to check on the status, then wait for at least 20 minutes for them to actually come back with the answer. Bought 3 vehicles from Lynn Layton within 4 months time, and the sales people were fabulous. Guess they don't get it...It's the service that brings the customer back. Want to guess where my next vehicle WILL NOT be bought

I was so so confident in him that I put a deposit down on the car on a Wednesday and purchased the car that Saturday. I've bought 15-20 new cars, and our experience doing so with Vickie Denton at Lynn Layton Ford yesterday was absolutely the BEST yet. We ordered our car, and during the wait for it to arrive she kept us up to date on its progress from the manufacturer extremely well. She only emailed us for this purpose, and her non-high pressure approach to selling began then and went through the signing of the papers. Furthermore, her product knowledge was superb, as was that of Rick Stackhouse, who explained and sold us his longest extended warranty. I called and talked to Glenn and he was very helpful, providing all the information I needed. So I drove up alone to see the car and it was exactly as Glenn and the ad described. After a test drive I knew I was interested, so we sat down to talk numbers. I met several folks from the dealership and everyone one of them made me feel welcome with no pressure at all. We reached a price and I wrote them a check. But how to get the car home? They said they would be glad to deliver - and even found drivers THAT DAY to follow me home! I shopped around literally, Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, Toyota, and another Ford Dealer which I will not mention (in Athens) Out of All the Dealerships I visited the friendliness of what I received at Lynn/Layton Ford was far more courteous than any of the other ones. I explained to Brian what I was looking for and he showed me a few he had on the lot and let me drive them. I received his Honest opinion on what he felt like would be better for me for what I was looking for. He was right. Everyone there was friendly and polite. I am glad I decided to go there. I have always believed in trying to buy Local but in my instance Local was not courteous or seemed to want to deal with me. Decatur is a bit farther to go but was well worth it. Mr. Craft who is on the Cyber Team was the first person I talked to and was very helpful, so I made the trip and ended up with a New Ford FX2 one week later. Brian was kind enough to hold on to it while I shopped around a bit and I thank him for doing that. Other dealers may not provide the same courtesy. Vickie was great going over everything explaining how everything worked. I hope the Service Dept. is as friendly and helpful as I have been treated so far if I need them. I feel I have learned a lot from this experience. i think the only thing i would complain about is the backup cleaning crew for I found a dip can still in the car and a unknown liquid in the center console.

I went to another Ford Dealer that we had done business with in the past looking for an F-150 truck. I had a trade in, older with more than 100k miles. I did my research on-line so I had a very good idea what I was looking for, and the market value of my used vehicle. Retail is not the same as trade in, so be prepared to negotiate and remember all your add on's. With that said, the "other Ford dealer" gave little to no credit for my trade in and did not bother to counter offer on the F-150 I was looking at. Kind of insulting when they give you their take it or leave it price, considering we have done business with them before. No problem, just business, so we took our business to Lynn Layton. I'm very glad we did since we also have another Ford vehicle. They gave me a fair price for my truck, not a retail price but fair. They were willing to trade, not take it or leave it. It wasn't a steal but a fair deal. At least we think so considering our other experience. Everyone that we dealt with at Lynn Layton was easy to work with, no pressure or concerns. The truck buying experience from beginning to end is time consuming, no surprise, but was not unpleasant. It was eye opening to discover what some dealerships would do for you and other's would not. It pays to shop around and ask questions. Lynn Layton moved to the top of our list after shopping in several cities and doing a great deal of on-line research.

i purchase ford certied f150 on 07-10-14 not very happy with truck went i pick truck up it had broken mirror right side i call back they order one for me on i took truck home next morning had a flat tire took and had check ther was 7 plugs in right rear tire both front tires had 2 plugs in them at that time i went ahaed and put 4 new tires on becase of i did nit want anymore tine problems on 07-21 -14 i took the truck to the ford dealer in athens because brake noise and viration wheb brakeing they turn rotors on truck they informed me that the wiper blades were bad now after about 45 miles of driving you can here noise front right side of engine / and now having battery problem i was told truck was ready to go i am very unhappy with truck i feel that they did not check truck and just sold me a truck with alot of thong wrong with in after looking at truc it has alot of paint chips under truck was a lot og mud build up from some one using truck in mudd

Great working with Glenn Hodge and other sales staff . Went to compare a Escape and an Edge to see which would suit our needs. As we drove the Escape we had a slight rough ride as caused with the car sitting for a while. Drove the Edge and ride was smoother than the Tires on the Escape. Glenn had the tires swapped from the Edge to the Escape. Ride smoothed out problem was the tires. We bought the Escape. Mr Hodge went above what a salesman would normally do.
