DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Not sure if they have maybe one part time mechanic, but the last two times I had my F150 in for a warranty repair the short trip was more than 2 weeks and the long one was for over a month. Can you imagine it takes 5 days to get parts for the #1 selling vehicle in America in the tri state area. If I lived on the side of a mountain in North Dakota, I get it. But here? Come on! The truck is used for work, and the loaner car I am offered is fit for a carnival bumper car ride (not to mention it stinks of cigarettes). Find another Ford dealer to service your car, I will be doing so. This is my third F150 from this dealer, and probably my last. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Our experience was wonderful. Everyone was very professional, courteous and friendly - Bruce, Bobby, Cherokee. Our main contact there- Bobby was the best!!! He got back to his us in a timely manner, he offered solutions and feedback which were extremely helpful. Of special note is the fact that 4 months he ago, when I started this process and was hen changed my kind for personal reasons, Bobby reached out to me and understood and kept his word when he said “I will follow up with you periodically”. When I was ready, I was able to pick up my son’s Mustang in 1 day.

Mahwah Ford service department will not stand behind the work or parts they put on your vehicle. I had tires replaced less than a month ago and a bubble appeared in the side wall of tire. There is no damage to the tire (other than the obvious defect in manufacturing) but the service representative went out of their way to tell me that it is my fault. Mahwah Ford would rather have you drive on a ticking time bomb of a tire rather than come to some amicable solution. For the most part I have had positive dealings with this business in the past. But with how they handled everything today I will not be going back in the future.

Best car buying experience I have ever had. Mark was so polite and knowledgeable. I was offered more than a fair price for my trade in and the numbers were good all around. I negotiated the warranty and even after we agreed on everything they even sweetened the deal further. The time spent at the dealership was efficient... not rushed or dragged out. I would highly recommend Mark and this dealership. I will definitely be trying their service department for my half price oil changes and free car washes too!

This review Is more for the " Manager " rather than the salesperson. When I walked into Mahwah Ford I had a nice fellow named Rich help me. I explained what I was looking for and within minutes he pulled up a car for me to test drive ( it would have been nice if he came along, I struggled trying to learn the features on my own ) when I arrived back, Rich and I began to discuss lease numbers, after some back and forth, Rich came out with a piece of paper with his final offer on it, it was scribbled in marker and had "Today Only" boldly written on it. I made the decision to think it over for the night and was saying goodbye when a Manager came out named Arron Ringus. Arron started off rather calm and normal but after a few moments it was as if he just switched attitudes and became very angry that he was not making the deal. This was a real turnoff and frankly alittle bit scary. If it was not for Arrons nasty attitude, I probably would have made the deal with Rich, I ended up leasing a new Ford later that day at All American Ford where I was givin the same price and treated like a valued customer. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Mahwah Ford, unless you want to have a Manager with Anger issues belittle you, truly unbelievable experience.

I find car shopping these days a daunting experience- there are so many options - Engine size - seating capacity - safety features - and different manufacturers have different names for each option. I was searching for a replacement vehicle for my 2006 Ford explorer which has lasted 215k miles. I shopped at a number of competitor Manfacturers in the area as well. My decision to purchase the Ford Escape SE was a direct result of my interaction with Dave Saunders. Generally I hate working with Car Salesmen, after going through a couple for "insulting my intelligence" I usually end up with one that is fairly reasonable. At Mahwah Ford NJ, I was fortunate, my daughter already bought a new car there and recommended the first salesman she met. She was taught well, Dave Saunders was a rare breed of Car Salesman, outstanding in EVERY way. LOL, I felt more like he was a consumer activist, the way he attacked the various rebate programs with all his years of experience, questioning me like my tax man does to see which programs we could squeeze every last dime out of, I was impressed to say the least. He wasn't only out to sell a car, he truly wanted a VERY HAPPY customer. Honestly, that money isn't coming out of his pocket, why the heck don't more sales people do that? Lack of knowledge? From what I saw while I was there, he is extremely popular due to his unique style and by his following, I guess honestly helping us plus listening to the customer does still pay off. Assisting Dave with GREAT options was Aaron Ringus, who was of immense value! I have and will continue to HIGHLY recommend this fine gentleman to everyone I know and have found at least one Dealership that I won't have to dread going into anymore.

Walked into the dealership and negotiated a deal on a used 2011 Explorer. I had my financing arranged with my bank (one they use) and told the sales person not to run my credit and put multiple inquiries on my credit record. He said they just needed to have me fill out the credit app for their use.They lied. Ran my credit to 9+ banks and dropped my score 3 points. I didn't find this out until after I left the dealer. I called my bank and complained about the experience and my bank called the sales manager (Aaron), which obviously pissed off the bank. My bank told me to return the vehicle and go find another dealer.I received a call from the sales manager and he said my bank refused to finance the vehicle and he was going to report the vehicle as stolen.This is how this company treats their customers. With dishonest and unethical, rude experiences.I took the vehicle back and left keys with the F&I manager. I then received another rude call from the general manager saying if we didn't return the vehicle, he was going to report it stolen.Anyone in the area looking to buy a car, don't go here and be treated as a criminal.

I wish there was an option for no stars for this place. We attempted to return a lease that was obtained from all American ford. According to our salesmen from prestige we could turn any ford over to a ford dealer thinking they would stand buy a product and provide a service. We were told to meet with Bruce Wellen to return the lease. Immediately Bruce gave us grief in trying to return out car because we didn't buy it from them. He acknowledged that they do accept any ford product return on lease. When we told him it was an allAmerican leased vehicle he refused to take our lease. He was extremely nasty and unprofessional and turned myself and my wife off completely to mahwah ford and all ford products in general. I highly recommend staying far far away from mahwah ford and Bruce.

Went in yesterday to return my lease and roll into a new one. Had a fantastic experience with Joe Carley III. He showed me a new Edge, which I test drove and he priced out two different trim levels for me. Once I decided what car I wanted he ensured the process was seamless and I drove off with my new car about 3 hours after I arrived at the dealership. I have not had that experience any other time I've leased. My previous Ford Edge was leased at a different dealership. I had no hassle returning it here and Joe took the time to review the new functions with me when he delivered the car. He did not assume I knew anything. This was a very positive experience for me and I highly recommend Joe and the entire team.

Walked into the dealership at 4:40pm on a Saturday (today) after visiting 3 other dealerships and driving approx $54k trucks in consideration for purchase/lease. When I walked in, I waited at the front for about 5 minutes while the receptionist got a salesman for me, I told her I wanted to test drive a truck.When the salesman came up to me, he looked like he wanted to go home and immediately told me "we close in 5 minutes so there isnt going to be time for a test drive, we will have to schedule it for Monday." It was 4:45 at that point, i wasnt looking to close a 2 billion dollar deal, just drive a truck after driving three others on the same day, same conditions and basically had NO WANT to help me out.This dealership is within walking distance of me, so they would be getting all of my service work...and now have completely ruined the experience for me to visit their dealership again. This means I have no need to buy a Ford at all, since I wouldnt (out of principle) be able to bring it to their dealership for service since it's apparent the company policy/environment promotes this attitude.Stay clear of Mahwah Ford...

After selling me a 2014 Escape Titanium I have not been able to have anyone respond to my e-mails nor my phone messages. I am now going into my third week waiting for vehicle registration and plates which I need for border crossing into Canada this weekend August 9th. The sales rep that I dealt with is no longer with Mahwah Ford and I asked for this to be done by August 2nd since I was being tranferred. I have paid off my loan with the bank but cannot get a release of lien on the car since the dealership have not registered the vehicle. Vehicle picked up on July 18th.Very frustrated. It's quite clear to me that the gentleman that spoke to me when I was leaving the dealership on the 18th knew what he was talking about. Quote: "Hope you have better luck than I did after my purchase".Note: You can have all the service vehicles available as loaners but if you don't put the customer first you will only be as good or bad as you are today.Regards,Davina

Jim, the salesman offered us terms for the lease of a 2013 Ford Escape. He wrote them down. We discussed them and confirmed exactly what the terms were that were being offered. We then went and shopped 5 other manufacturers and decided that the Escape was the vehicle we wanted. We returned to Mahwah Ford and the salesman, Jim and the manager, Aaron refused to honor what they had offered and sought thousands of dollars more than what was originally offered - both in "up-front" money and in monthly payments - for the vehicle. Aaron was arrogant and nasty, gave a lame excuse for offering something that he was not honoring and showed no care or remorse for how we were mislead. We acquired the exact vehicle we wanted from All American Ford for a much better price, with much better treatment.

Already being way beyond frustrated with the transmission issue (failed Torque Converter) with my 2005 Ford Freestar, the visit to Mahwah Ford this afternoon to submit paperwork for reimbursement of already paid repair work ($2500 at that), just put the rotten icing on an already very rotten cake (the purchase of my Freestar through this dealer was appalling). The attitude I received upon walking into the Service Department door from Bill Capone truly made me want to slap the guy, real hard. Apparently, I "interrupted" his lunch and he certainly and very clearly made it known that I did so. Pretty much made me feel like "How dare you walk in through an open service department door while I am eating my lunch?" He was even so kind to show me what he was eating, just to make it clear the importance of his task at hand. He told me to come back after he was done and he will "try" to assist in getting a reimbursement for the failed Ford part. What a wonderful suggestion. I am already taking my lunch time (not eating) to deal with such a pathetically handled situation to begin with, and he tells me to come back after he is done eating his lunch. What phenomenal customer service...kudos to you Bill! I ended up walking out on him so he could finish eating his lunch and plan on taking my business elsewhere. It really is no wonder, thanks to people like Bill Capone, that outsourcing of customer service is becoming such a popular choice. Thanks again Bill! Another customer lost. But not that it matters to Ford, we are all just a little teeny tiny number in their big fat wallet!

Bamboozled, deceived, and flat out lied too are just some of the ways that I felt we were treated between the Sales and Service department. There was a lot of finger pointing with no results except for the fact that three customers were lost that day, me and my in-laws that went to Wayne Ford the next day and purchased two new vehicles. There is no integrity among the two departments whom like to play a finger pointing contest instead of meeting the needs of the customer. Purchased the vehicle used with 54,000 miles with in the first year it took 3 visits to repair a power window on the driver side front which I am still not satisfied and the transmission went and the "problem" was stated to be debris in the transmission. There service department preformed all the routine maintenance to this vehicle, then the sales department claimed that we signed a paper that we turned down extended warranty, which when confronted they could not come up with. We only had the vehicle for 14,000 miles.

Took my Explorer there for routine service, as the Ford dealership I usually use had closed. I made an appointment for 8AM, as I had to go to work afterwards. Since I was concerned about getting to work on time, I asked about their loaner policy. I was then informed that the service would only take "a little while", so I was not eligible for one. Despite the fact that I had an appointment and got there early, they did did not take the car in until 11AM. Sure, the service was quick once they actually started working, but the fact that I sat there for three hours when I had an appointment was inexcusable. I had been thinking about purchasing my next car from them, but I would absolutely not go there again.

My suggestion is if you buy a Ford (and I don't know why anyone would), find yourself a good gas station mechanic that can work on it.

I had a "check engine" light come on while driving. I looked on the dealer locator and saw Mahwah was the closet dealer. I was pleased when a polite and pleasant young lady told me "sure, we can get it right in and look at it".About an hour later I get the word that I have a "lazy Oxygen sensor" which is consistent with what I thought. Then she tells me that I also need 8 plugs and boots and the transmission flushed. I started laughing. I told her that I wasn't laughing at her but that another NJ dealer had just done $2,454 worth of work on the F-150 which included the new plugs and transmission flush.I asked how the skilled technician made the determination that I needed (to the tune of $600) 8 new plugs and the transmission flush. The reply "we just tell folks that based on the mileage". Frankly, this hovers somewhere between incompetence and dishonesty. It's time to replace my vehicle and the funny thing is that I found an F-150 Lariat on the lot while I was there that I would have been interested in buying right out. After this experience I came home, wrote a nice letter to Ford and called the Mercedes dealer my wife uses and ordered a new E350 for her and I'm taking her "old" 2010. I'm done with Ford having had similar experiences in 3 dealers.

I had the worst experience here. I was told one price and then a few days before I could pick up my car, because of a mistake that the finance manager made, he wanted to raise my payment. They were very difficult and unfriendly. The salesman I met with was also rude and very short with me on the phone. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone! Also, when I picked up the car finally, it was not even washed. There was crap all over the car.........I have never had such a bad experience. In the future I will never go back to Mahwah Ford and would never recommend them to anyone!

I took my 2011 Fusion for a 5000 mile service. I thought the service was being performed by the dealer.Not so. They took the car to a quicklube place called Pot of Gold and they damaged my bumper.I take my cars to a dealership for a reason. If I have a problem I can take it up the chain of command to Mr.Ford himself.If I wanted to go to a quiklube that's what I would have done.Anyway,they fixed the bumper no charge but they will never see me again.One other thing. This dealer's lot is a minefield to negotiate. If you don't damage your car just driving into the lot you're lucky.Avoid this dealership service department.They will damage your car for a simple oil change.

I bought my ford explorer wich i paid over book value for and in cash.(And yes cash in this econamy) and the car has electrical problems that when I open the door the lights go off and when I close the door they go on. after they said they did a full 5 star inspection on the car prior to me purchasing this car and that it is in perfact condition with no problems. I went in to get it fixed the next day. and they said that its my problem because i got a used car. and they refused to help me ever since I went in to try to get it fixed.

Today i broke down in the middle of a major highway and was at a loss. I called my salesman. Greg Cummings as i did not know what to do. To my surprise he left the showroom to come to where i was broken down and assist me in jumping the car so i could make it back to the showroom and service at Mahwah ford. If this was not enough he then helped me change the battery in the car as this is what we believed the problem was. Such a fantastic experience and certainly a place i would recommend.

This dealership has a decent sales operation, but the service is terrible. The car does sit for days until you make some noise, and then they finally look at it and quote you these outrageous numbers to fix the problem. If they were to fix the problem on the first shot, then you could rationalize the high prices. But on car after car - I have had Fords for the last 20 years straight - they miss the problem that you bring it in for only to find lots of other stuff that they claim will fix the problem. You pick it up and the problem is still there, and they tell you "well that needed to be done anyway" Their famous words on the phone are "give us the authorization to do this work - just to start..." Their incompetence is matched only by their lack of speed. Unfortunately, I buy the Ford service plans, so I have to go to a Ford dealer - but maybe you don't...

Again just like the guy below, I took my car in to get fixed and it took them 2 weeks to look at the car. Once i threatened them i was going to take my car elsewhere they jumped on it and told me i need something fixed with the car. So i got it fixed, and the day after I got the car back (3 weeks later mind you) the original issue with the car was still there. The service department is a COMPLETE joke, they are the most nastiest people I have ever delt with.

One week after the initial visit to the dealership, salesman "PJ" initiated a call to us where he provided a quote for the car we wanted to buy for our son. When we arrived 2 hrs. later to leave deposit on vehicle "PJ" then advised that the price was $300 higher than what he said over the phone. Mahwah Ford Manager on duty 5/14/09 at 6:30pm when asked to intervene was sarcastic and rude when asked for help even going so far as say we were never told the price that we claim was told to us by the salesman. Buyer beware! This was the first time and the last time that I would ever deal with Mahwah Ford.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. The service dept. takes days to fix something that should take hours. The customer facing employees are nasty people and just don't give a crap. They never call you with a status, and if you should call to ask if your car will be ready any time soon, they chew you out and make you feel like you did something wrong. The oil place across the parking lot are a bunch of incompetent people. They will damage your car if you don't check their work. I've had Pontiacs, Chevys, Hondas, Nissans, GMC, and Mercury and I have never seen anything like this in my life. Just to say something nice......the dude I dealt with when I bought the car was a pleasant person, but everyone around him....finance guy, manager.......all of them were just plain nasty. Knowing what I know now, I would have GLADLY spent more money for the same car at a different dealer. Do yourself a favor and shop around.

I called the dealer after seeing a 1999 Surburban listed online for $6,395.00. They offered to e-mail me a video showing the vehicle (I live 3 1/2 hrs. away from the dealership). The next morning the salesman called to ask me what I thought of the vehicle. While we were on the phone discussing price, the vehicle shows up on eBay for "buy it now" $5295.00. I placed the bid and the terms were that a $500.00 deposit needed to be made witin 24hrs. which I planed to do in person 12 hrs. after making the bid. I then received a call from Yoav who told me that unless I gave him my credit card number immediately, he was going to offer the truck to other customers. eBay is investagating this dealer and I would stress to anyone thinking of dealing with them to think twice about it.

Purchasing and Pricing at this dealer was great. Warranty service at least for my F-550 was poor at best. You'd make an appointment for the vehicle and the vehicle would sit for a week before any work would be done. A friend of ours has an F-550 also and lost it for 4 weeks for a new turbo. The service department diesel mechanics all go on vacation at the same time (or as I heard they lay off some mechanics when the shop is slow, temporarily) so there is no one to work on the trucks in September. This truck is a work truck when the truck is not working we are not making money. Back in April 06 they had the truck for probably a week and did some TSB work. When we got the truck back within a day or so we broke down 5 times 200 miles from home and limped it to a dealer in upstate NY. They were good enough to repair the vehicle on the spot. DOM"S Ford in Utica NY were great. Mahwah on the other hand I wouldn't recommend for truck service.
