We were looking specifically for a clean VW Jetta with reasonable miles at a reasonable price. We needed something quickly that we could put on the road immediately, as my daughter had recently totaled her previous car. Our search led us to Main Street Motors in Norristown. They had the lowest mile car (by a LONGSHOT) at the most reasonable price I could find within five states! Inspected and ready to go, the car presented exactly as described in their detailed internet description. The closest similar car I could find (that didn't have a rebuilt title) had either 25K more miles or was $3 K more. Carfax was stressed and included up front, and a very clean Carfax included. Larry couldn't have been easier to deal with, up front, honest and caring about us getting a good car for my daughter. Very easy transaction, and my daughter loves her new car! We traveled from southern Chester County to Norristown to buy the car and I would HIGHLY recommend Larry and Main Street Motors! Thanks again!

Had a good experience at Main Street Motors. It was really nice to get a used car and know what you are getting. They had the car fax for the car online, and also gave it to me when I bought the car. Barry was very friendly, and helpful. Seeing as I just bought the car, I do not know if it is all that it was advertised to be, but so far, it seems to deliver what was promised.

My boyfriend bought a truck from there,had their mechanic next store check truck who was the dad of someone who works there (red flag) the transmission went after about 100 miles. Battery died night of getting truck, needed a new gas tank. STAY AWAY DO NOT GO HERE! They kept telling us it was a great truck perfect condition. Was saying that all these people wanted to buy it we should get it before someone else jumps on it. Watson of time and money! Do not trust this car dealership!!

Make sure you have the vehicle checked over completely when buying anything from Main Street Motors. I would just stay away completely! They sell cars after they reset the check engine lights, instead of fixing them properly before they sell them. I gave the Larry $7000 for a vehicle that had a check engine light appear on the way home from purchasing it (7 miles). They never fixed it, refused to take the vehicle back, and their 'warranty' company refused to fix the car because they said I bought the car with an ongoing issue.

Purchased a nice little Honda Civic for my 17yr old son (school, work, etc) Larry and Barry were great to deal with: very open/ honest / said they drove / tested all cars prior to putting on the lot. The purchase price was fair / cleaned / inspected seems to be in great mechanical shape - car has been great thus far. The rear window was not working they immediately set up an appointment to get it fixed - done with no hesitation or cost Drove the loaner car while work was be completed. I drove from Allentown to look at a suv I was interested in . After agreeing on a price I was told there was another person looking into buying the car but waiting to get approved by the bank . I called numerous times to see the status on the deal and I was told that Barry ( my salesman ) was on vacation and they had no information on whether the deal was done or not . It took Larry a week to finally call me and informed me the car was sold . Completely unprofessional and poor way to deal with customers .

Needed to buy a reliable used car in a hurry on a modest budget. Previous car was totaled after two months and spending over $1,000 in service costs (brakes, bearings, tires, etc). I had bought the car "as is" at a local new car dealer. Searched on-line at cars.com and found a 2005 Toyota Corolla in my price range at Main Street Motors. Dealer was farther away than I would have liked (approx 20 miles) but I thought I'd call and inquire about the car. The owner, Larry, answered the phone and was very patient with my questions and thorough in his answers. After talking with him I felt confident enough to drive the 20 miles to see the car. Larry had indicated that he only buys quality cars and has his people go over them extensively to insure there are no mechanical problems and sure enough that is what I experienced. Nice car and a fair price with a 90 day warranty (at any mechanic shop) included. Noticed the driver side door lock didn't work after I got the car home, called Larry and he immediately took care of if. Overall experience was Exceptional.

I had drove over an hour and a half to look at and purchase a BMW they had for sale, I ended up purchasing the BMW X3. I took the car home and it drove fairly well. I was impressed with the price i got but then realized why i was given such a good price. about 3 weeks into owning the car i took it to the car wash for the first time and the car that went in was not the car that came out. the car had swirl marks all over the car and white specs all up the hood and on the back hatch. my vehicle was black in color. after the car wash i took it to a BMW dealership. i spoke with the head detailer and manager about the car. the detailer said in his professional opinion, that the marks and swirls were covered up on purpose before the car was sold. the car had a glaze put on before i bought which covered all the imperfections. the BMW dealership recommended i contact PA consumer fraud division and said they would back me up one hundred percent if i went forward with it. I contacted Larry after i went to the dealership, I was screamed at on the phone and told to not threaten him. I have never been screamed at by a professional establishment. He was rude and his tone of voice was very demeaning. i didn't feel like a "valued customer" as he said i was. we came to a resolution and he agreed to pay only half of the cost to get the paint fixed. I feel he should have covered the full cost, since it was hidden before i purchased the car. i would not reccomend for anyone to go there. Stay away!!!! you'll be thankful in the long run.

Had money down on a car and an agreement for purchase and needed financing approval from my lender. I was told car would remain available to me for purchase. I called dealer daily and then let them know I had approval. When I called to set up appointment for pick up I was told car was sold to someone who had money available immediately and that they couldn't wait and had to sell.I had not even received a phone call to tell me. I guess they were ashamed that their word could not be counted on. VERY UNPROFFESIONAL.

What an awesome experience with these guys, especially Larry. He was my first stop when I started my search for a car and I found one I really liked, but told him I couldn't buy the first car I saw. Boy was I wrong, I ended up wasting my time the rest of the day looking at other cars and dealing with other salesman that couldn't match Larry's level of customer service. So, needless to say I ended up back at Main Street Motors, and purchased my 2001 Hyundai Elantra 5 speed and haven't regretted it yet. There have been no issues with the car and the manual transmission is saving me a ton of money as it is getting between 27-30 mpg. I especially have to thank those that don't know how to drive stick, as that is why i am told the car was still on the lot when I got there. Thanks again for a wonderful car buying experience.

bought a 2003 bmw . we dealt with larry and he was very knowlegeable about the car. no pressure, and we were in and out rather quickly (1hr) unlike most of the time when you buy a car and you're at the dealership for hours. only gripe is that the car had broken tracks on the sunroof, i felt this should have been repaired prior to placing the car on the lot. but other than that it was a pleasant car buying experience.

I have worked with many car sales people over the past 30 years, but none I enjoyed working with better than Larry, Barry, and Mark. Everything they say and do shows they are honest and want to sell only quality vehicles at very competitive prices. They post more photos and information on their web site than most dealerships including the car fax for each vehicle on their lot. I was in the market for a used car and to trade in my current vehicle. I found Main Street Motors online and a car I was interested in. They offered the Carfax report with the car posting, which was very encouraging and good to see ahead of time. After inquiring online and asking a few questions, I received responses immediately, which I really appreciated. When I went to the dealership, I met with Larry. He was very friendly, approachable and informative. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. After a test drive and deciding that I wanted to purchase the vehicle, we discussed the plan for my trade in. He spoke to me about the pros and cons of the car and I appreciated that he didn't try to sugarcoat anything throughout the process. He gave advice as to which credit union he thought would be best to get an auto loan from and assisted me with that process, as I had not needed to finance the purchase of a car before. The next day, after the loan was approved, I went to pick up the car and sign the final paperwork. I met with Barry and to my delight, he was also very friendly and approachable. He explained each form in detail, so I knew what I was signing, which was extremely helpful. Throughout the entire process, I never felt uncomfortable or like I was being taken advantage of, as it can sometimes seem at larger dealerships. I was very pleased with my entire experience from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend Main Street Motors to anyone and the next time I am in the market for a vehicle, I will look them up first.

After my car was totaled, I was in a hurry to buy a quality used car. From my research on Consumer Reports I found that a Pontiac Vibe was one of the best quality used cars to buy under 10,000. Main Street Motors was one of the few car dealers near me that carried one. From my first experience calling Larry, he was responsive and clear with his communication. When my boyfriend and I visited, I was surprised to find two other couples buying cars at the same time. Clearly, I had thought this business had to be doing something right. Larry quickly let us look and test drive the car with out looking over our shoulders and pressuring us. He was very fair about negotiating the price of the car to our needs, as well as repairing what needed to be fixed before letting us buy the car. The car also came with state inspection and a wonderful warranty that took fear out of buying a used car. As someone, who was very anxious about buying a car for the first time I can say my experience working with Larry great to say the least. Naturally I went into the process being skeptical after visiting some major dealership on the Main Line. However, I will now return to Main Street Motors if I need to buy another car in the future. Larry is honest and fair, which is most comforting when make such a large purchase...and he has free donuts on Saturdays ;)

I was looking for a replacement Jeep for my daughter and found a 2003 Jeep from Main Street Motors online. When I went the next day, the Jeep was clean and drove well; the car engine was sound! It's a great car and the price was competitive. Mark and Larry were so easy to work with. They let the car speak for itself and were so easy going and friendly. I put a deposit down and my boyfriend, a mechanic, gave it a thumbs up the next day. We drove away with it that morning. The whole process was fast and easy. Larry doesn't just put any car on his lot, he makes sure the cars are good so his customers are happy. He also included a drive train warranty to make sure we were protected. It was very easy and non stressful buying a car here. The only problem we saw was a small chip in the window but he made sure it was fixed.

I just bought a Toyota Corolla from Main Street Motors a couple of days ago, it was very good experience. Very low pressure, everyone there was very friendly and answered questions very honestly. I took a test drive with the Corolla, went up the street to test drive another car at a different lot, and immediately came back to Main St Motors and made the purchase. When I left the first time, they did not try to sell me, or keep me there. It was almost like they didn't care if I bought it or not, which is a good thing. I think they are very confident in the cars on their lot, like they knew that if I left and didn't come back, they would easily be able to sell to someone else. And the price was very fair too. I had researched a lot of Corollas (and cars of the same class), and for the age and low mileage on the Corolla I bought, the price was lower than comparable vehicles for sale elsewhere. Other things that stood out to me: offering me a drink while I waited, very knowledgeable, transaction was very smooth, as stated above - low pressure. I would absolutely recommend to anyone searching for a nice preowned vehicle to check out Main Street Motors.

Great Deal... I had a issue with my title. It was not anything that the dealer did. Solely my problem. I could not get any help from the state at all. Stonewalled as usual. I was looking for a replacement vehicle since I was in an accident and my car insurance had deemed my SUV a total loss. I found what I was looking for on Cars.com at Main Street Motors and went for a test drive. I loved the vehicle and decided to purchase. Beings tho I was stuck with no vehicle, management at Main Street Motors let me write a check for the amount of the vehicle and did all of the paperwork while I was there. I hadn't received the loan check from my credit union at that point. They let me take the vehicle with the verbal agreement that once I got the check I would bring it in and they would return my personal check...3 days later! Very helpful! Also once I had the vehicle for a few days I noticed there were CD's stuck in the DVD player. I contacted them and they agreed to pay for a new head unit. I would recommend this dealer!

I even met Mark the Third, a jolly, smartly dressed guy. He smiled and nod his head at me as if to tell me that his father and grand father are real Mechanic Gurus and I should no worry My Volvo with over 88,000 miles runs like new, just like father Mark and son said. I was searching for a used 2009 Toyota Corolla and came across Main Street Motors on one of the search sites. The pictures of the car were clean and clear. I was still skeptical because I have severally been misled by pictures in that what you see in pictures is not what you get in reality. I decided to take a chance because the price fitted my budget fairly. I drove to Norristown from Baltimore and I was glad I did! Larry, the owner was very accommodating, funny and generally a fair man. The car was as seen on the pictures, even better. There were new PA inspection tags and Larry also gave me a $200 discount. But the swinging deal for me was been given a chance to pay for the vehicle over a one week period as I was paying cash and over the period, Larry was always in contact to make sure that I was ok and that we still had a deal. I appreciate the way I was treated and I will surely go back for another purchase in the nearest future.

This was a very pleasant purchase experience. Larry, the owner, is definitely not the aggressive type salesman found at many other dealers. Conversely, he will answer as many questions as possible, and impart as much information as possible, regarding your intended purchase. He will then allow the vehicle attributes and your good judgement to purchase, or pass, on your proposed purchase. If you do not make a purchase, he wishes you well and requests you remember Main Street Motors, for your next purchase. We initially went to Main Street Motors over a year ago to inspect a vehicle for sale. We did not like the vehicle, and therefore did not purchase it. However, the purchasing experience was positive. Buying this 1997 Ford Ranger was one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made. I should have just followed my instincts, but they made it sound so good and I was told I would have help in getting what was needed to make it right. First, it failed inspection twice and after the first time, Larry did say to bring it back to him and he would have his mechanic fix what was wrong to pass inspection at his expense. He would even pay tolls and gas, which he did not. The second time it failed it was because his mechanic failed to put some parts back on to keep the wheels from falling off, so I had to pay $300+ dollars to fix that. Now, just two months in, the windows will go down, but not back up, the heater stopped working, the roof is leaking somewhere because there are water stains on the lining that were not there and the tool box on the back of the truck will not open even with the key. The truck is overheating and we told him after it failed inspection the first time that we were told the head gasket was bad. He asked if the truck was overheating and we said no, which it was not, but that was because the heat was turned on. This morning when we left the house and turned the heater on it kept blowing out cold air...no heat...so I turned it off instead of freezing more, and that is when I noticed the needle went all the way past the H on the dash. We had to turn the cold heater back on to keep from getting stranded. We should not have made this purchase and I advise anyone going to Main Street Motors to have any vehicle checked out be a mechanic they know first. Don't trust the "warranty" either.

Good guys to deal with. Low pressure sales and honest about the products. I appreciate that for a used car dealer they insist on getting a current PA inspection for each car. Also I did have an issue shortly after buying the car and they took car of the problem; which to me says alot. Any dealer can be good if there is nothing that ever goes wrong with a car. But the test comes if you need something and they come through; and this dealership passes that test.

Absolutely no pressure to buy. I actually was all set to buy after taking car for a test drive, and I was advised by a car salesman to go home, talk it over with my husband, and come back the next day with him to buy if still interested! That's what I did. I ended up buying the car, but had the time to do some research that night and went back feeling very secure that I was making a good decision and getting the right car for me. When I went back it was very quickly handled and fresh inspection done in an hour. Very friendly and fair guys (Larry and Barry), would definitely go there again to buy next car!!

Over the phone, the customer service was absolutely great. They were so nice, welcoming, funny, and willing to do whatever to help the customer. I fell in love with the 2005 Jeep Liberty that I bought for a great price. I would definitely recommend Main Street Motors to anyone who is looking for a car. They do not pressure you into buying the car right away. The only downfall I had was getting into a new car I just bought, and realizing the gas tank was empty. I'm a 23 year old female that was in need of buying a new (used) car so typically I shopped around online. I came across a blue 2008 Dodge Nitro SXT at Main Street Motors that I absolutely loved. I called to get some more information on the car and Larry was more than helpful. I went to check the car out and talk to Larry in person. I was very pleased with everything I saw and heard. I was also in the process of getting rid of my Lexus (to get a new car) and Larry offered me a fair amount of money and he would then send my car to auction. Larry had the brakes changed and put new stickers on the 2008 Dodge Nitro SXT that I was buying. The Dodge Nitro SXT was very clean on the inside and out. The car also came with a 6 month warranty which I was very happy with. Larry was a very honest and kind salesman and it made the experience of needing a new car so much easier. Larry was friendly at first, but became defensive after I looked under the vehicle and saw the rusty muffler and cracking tire sidewalls. He told em to leave after I asked about these, when I was not ready to buy immediately. He said he has 350 hits online and doesn't need me. It was a waste of my afternoon...he asked me to wait, and I told him I would come back another day, while he was waiting on another customer. It was either buy now or get lost!

Larry was very easy to deal with. He gave a fair trade-in price and we quickly reached agreement on a deal. The car had a minor mechanical issue I noticed as I drove it home, and Larry was very pro-active at making sure his mechanic quickly addressed it at no extra charge. I spoke with Larry the owner about the vehicle I was interested in. He was very friendly, answered all my questions and being out of state and unfamiliar with the area, gave great directions. We went to check out a car saturday. They let us check it out, including sitting in in and just an overall look around the car. It was in great shape except for the three different brands of tires on it which was a little strange but they told us it came from the dealer that way. After showing the right paperwork they allowed us to test drive it and it drove great. After deciding we wanted they car they allowed us to put money down and return monday. It was also great that they're a notary so theres no extra running around. Overall both owners that i met that were very nice and the purchase went without any problems.

We got a great deal and were very happy with our purchase and the buying experience at Main Street Motors. We had a few issues with the car about a week and a half after buying but they took it right in, serviced it, and we had it back the next day. We have nothing but positive things to say about the service and people at Main Street Motors.

From the moment my wife and i walked in to the office Larry treated us more like an old family friend rather than a new customer! he worked with us on price (I got what i wanted) and went that extra mile to make mine and my wifes day! i would definitely recommend Main Street Motors to my family and friends Keep up the good work ! ! !

We brought our car in to sell last Saturday. Larry was very thorough in explaining the selling process and fair in his valuation of our car. He made the transaction very pleasant and easy for us. We were able to walk away with a check on the same day even if it were a Saturday.

As soon as we walked into this dealer I had a bad gut feeling which I tried to ignore. We test drove a few vehicles (which were completely filthy and not even wiped down with a damp cloth) and when we sat down to negotiate a price - the dealer became very rude called my husband sarcastic... which he is not. Told us we wasted his time and yelled at us to get out! Who does that?? All that for attempting to negotiate a fair price? Something just did not feel right about this place. To get angry with a potential customer for negotiating? Also ALL of his cars only had one key which was strange... we wound up at a another used car dealer got a newer car with less miles AND the used car dealer took $1600 off his sticker price! Please listen to your gut about Main Street Motors... not sure what - but something is NOT right there. I think the good reviews they wrote themselves.

When we arrived to look at a used car, the owner immediately gave us the Carfax and let us take it for a test drive. We had financing in place so they had us in and off driving our new car in less than an hour. The owners were very friendly and told us to call if we had any problems. Thanks for the easy car buying experience.

I found my BMW on CL and the price was great! Larry got back to me right away and was very friendly and willing to help me out. I then had to talk with Maria and get the financials in order. She seemed a bit "harsh and no friendly" but I think its because she is just all business. I wouldn't take it personally. I was able to put a deposit down and pick up the car that weekend. I pulled and my car was out back, cleaned and pretty. I walked right in and did all the paperwork with Maria, this was my 1st car purchase solo, so I wasn't sure what I needed and what things were called. It seemed to annoy her abit that I was clueless but Larry's friendly and genuine attitude balanced it out. I noticed my car was squealing alot when I would brake so I called Larry and he told me to bring in the car whenever I can. Very flexible with me and said not to worry it will be looked it and fixed. I am bringing it down next week. My overall experience with this company was great. I would recommend them and just remember...Maria isn't as scary as she comes off!

Larry and Maria are a little rough around the edges when it comes to customer service. After seeing one of their cars online I called to get the carfax report and they refused to do it for me. It turns out they will only order them when an interested customer is sitting directly in front of them looking ready to buy. I don't personally agree with this as a practice and it seems inhibitive for them, actually, because so far as I could see they carry nothing but solid cars. The 2003 Saturn I chose had a spottless carfax report with only one owner! I am not sure what's going on with the withholding of information there...Other than their slightly unsophisticated demeanor I had no complaints. They are simple people but pleasant enough and what is MOST important is that they seem to carry solid, clean cars with low miles (at a fair price). The car I chose started right up, has a sound engine and stopped perfectly. My price cap was $5,000 and up until I went to Main Street I had test driven NOTHING but LEMONS. They also offer an additional powertrain warranty for up to three years if you want to purchase it. I would send a friend there.

DO. NOT. USE. THIS. DEALER. insincere... shady... outright lied when questioned about a vehicle, hesitated to provide carfax. prices were way too high for the value of the vehicle... was actually scared of the owner, so was afraid to even bargain price. overall was a horrible experience. do not care about customers and lousy customer service.

let me start by saying that I hate shopping for a used car but I have now changed my mind!The first person to wait on me was Maria.She was great.No pressure but i could not decide on a car.She told me that they get new cars every day so I should come back before I bought anywhere else.The next week I came back and Larry waited on me.He was good.He knew just what to do and helped me buy a car.It was the best car for the best price anywhere and I know becuse I was at 5 or 6 places before I bought a car.It was inspected for me with a brand new sticker and came with a waranty and was a great deal .I looked up the car in Kelly Blue book and it was CHEAP compared to other prices.He was friendly with me and my family.Maria did the paper work then and she was fun to deal with.I would tell anyone I know to go here.It was a little out of the way but they have a lot of nice cars.I would recomend this place to anyone

The person that I have dealt this is lazy and is not completely honest. When I bought my used car they hand wrote the information on all of the forms, instead of typing it or using a computer. The person that wrote the information screwed up the VIN and added an extra number. When I found out the following Monday, I called that person and told them that they wrote the wrong number on all of the forms that were submitted. She said that she would correct it and suggested that I call my bank to tell them about the error, even though she was the one the submitted the information to them (and screwed it up). I called my bank and told them about the error and I asked her if she would correct it with the warranty company and the state (in regards to my registration) and she said yes. Now, three weeks later, when I received my warranty card I found out she never corrected it. Then she tells me to call them myself.Also, before I picked up my car I was told they would fix the brakes but they didn't do what was needed they just changed the brake pads (the cheapest option)They are lazy and insincere and it's not worth it. They customer is HORRIBLE!
