I recently purchased a Chevy Equinox from Matthews, and was quite surprised and happy that this facility was so different from all the others,the smiles on everyone faces was a joy to see,everyone I passed said hello,how are you,even if they were on the phone they still picked up their heads from their work and made you feel welcomed. My salesman Mr. Tom Donovan,was superb,his professionalism was a joy,he took the time to show me every car I was interested in,explained in detail the difference in each one,he took the time to listen to me and what I wanted out of a vehicle. When the process was over and I had my keys Tom walked me to the car and again explained everything in there also.answered all my questions, It was so nice not to be rushed out the door and on to the next sale. I recently purchased a 2015 Equinox from Matthews GM and was extremely satisfied with my experience. From the moment I entered your facility I was greeted with friendliness and smiles. The salesman I dealt with, Tom Donovan, was very thorough in his explanation of the similarities and differences between different vehicles. When I arrived I had every intent of purchasing a used vehicle. Tom showed me several different SUV's that I was interested in, which I also drove. Once we returned to the showroom I inquired about Leasing. Tom explained the process to me and what all it entailed. After I had an understanding of how Leasing worked I decided that would be the avenue to pursue. Once I had decided on a new purchase, Tom showed me all my options for the type of SUV that I was looking for. Tom's friendliness, knowledge and eagerness to find the perfect vehicle for me was a very refreshing experience. It was nice to be car shopping and not have the salesman trying to push you into something you didn't want. I was very impressed with my entire experience at Matthews and will definitely be a repeat customer! Thank you for having a great facility!

We purchased an Encore from salesman Tom Donovan. Tom and sales manager Rebecca Salter provided us with the best customer service possible. Tom was very knowledgeable on all of the options and programs and Rebecca was quick to respond to my initial inquires which started us looking at Buick in the first place. This team worked quickly to provide us with the best price and locate the car we wanted. I will definitely be doing business with Mathews Auto group in the future and will be recommending them to all of my friends.

I drove over an hour from outside of syracuse to check out a used Tahoe. Met with Tom D. After they said vehicle was available was not when we arrived. Was allegedly being checked out by someone who had an appt. there no hassle price was dropped from a previous pic I have seen and the had no wiggle room. The trade in process was a horrible. Said would fight for me and give best price. Was lowest offer we had, had been to 4 other dealers. Would have bought vehicle but they wouldn't even move $500. So much for best price and trying to win customers. Frustrating stuff.

We got more for the trade than we expected and paid less than we expected. The salesman are paid by their customer service and not straight commision. Tom Donovan acted like a friend helping you find the best vehile for you, not for him or the dealership. I recently purchased a GMC Terrain at the Waterfalls location. I worked with Tom Donovan, who was very professional and made the entire process hassle and stress free. With most dealerships, once you purchase the car, the dealer is "done" with you, however Tom called me the next day to see how everything was going with the car and asked if I have any questions about the car. Tom also reminded me that I could contact him if I have any questions down the road. Tom is sincere, professional and I would recommend him to others.

I am certainly amazed by the atmosphere and the quality of service we received from Tom Donovan! He was awesome before, during, and after the sale. He came in on his day off, called to make sure everything was going good with my vehicle, took personal responsibility for my sale. I have only great things to say about Mr.Tom Donovan. He works at Matthews by the waterfalls. I recently bought a brand new Chevy Silverado...I had absolutly no pressure, he was very helpful and knowledgable, and I actually enjoyed being there in the dealership...usually it is a hassle and I hate waiting....but this was different. Tom made me feel relaxed and totally informed on all levels. He catered to all of my questions and was very patient with me......Thank you so Tom.....I am referring all my friends to you!

I shopped for a new car for months...I visited several dealerships, made contact with a salesperson at each one, leaving a list of my wants etc. Tom Donovan at Matthews was the only one that got back to me with the right car, (he was the only one that got back to me at all) He emailed me about a couple possibilities, and also informed me when one had a price reduction. I am on a very tight schedule and Matthews online credit app made it so easy to get all the paper work done quickly. Thanks!

My experience with Matthews Auto Dealership came from Tom Donovan. Days before I was going to buy a car my friend was getting service on her car. I took her to pick up her car and we needed help transferring grocery from my car to hers. Tom was right in the lot and came to help. First impression was good. At the end of his help he ask if I was in the market for a car, and if not would I like one of his business card. A few weeks later I decided it was time to buy a car, of course I called Tom. I have been very pleased with the work Tom did for me. He was helpful in finding what I needed, courtesy was a plus, all questions were answered right away, and if he didn't have the answer he found out the correct information. I would use Tom and Matthews the next time I go shopping for a vehicle.

I have nothing but a great review for the Matthews Auto Dealership. No hassle, I HATE shopping for a car with my husband, and this experience was the best we ever had. Rob Finta, what a great sales consultant! He wasnt pushing us to buy a car we did not want or settle for. We love the Mazda 5! Lets just say this time when purchasing the car, my husband and I were not fighting and still talking to each other when leaving the dealership. I will be a returning customer!!!!!

Have never experienced such excellent assistance in finding a vehicle that met our request before. Once the vehicle was recieved the Sales men called us, and start to finish the transaction was excellent. The process of the paper work was quick and efficient as well. We spent less than 45 minutes total filling out and signing the paper work!!Our sales men also went above and beyond to be sure the vehicle was serviced and shiny inside and out when we picked it up! We will rave about our experience for years to come!! Thank you Matthews for such an excellent experience and assistance in fulfilling our request in a vehicle!!

We went in last weekend to look at a Buick used car, kids did not like it and we ended up buying a HHR. The experience was GREAT!! I first chatted with Cinnamon online, she was kind, informative and not pushy. When we came in we worked with John Quick who gave us what we wanted on our trade and was patient while we tried to figure out what we wanted. Once we had decided John C in finance showed us our options but was not pushy and did not try to guilt us into buying the add-ons. Overall a GREAT experience.

I have only been to one dealership in my life before and it was a horrible experience. So for the most part, I stay away from them. Matthew's Preowned in Vestal and Ray Leonard (my salesperson) have changed my view on that. Ray made the buying process pain free for me and did all that he could to find the best car and financing to suit my needs. I will definitely go back and send friends and family there. Overall yes I would go back but there are just a couple things that bothered me. We test drove the car and decided to purchase it on a Saturday. The dealer was prepared to have everything set for us by Tuesday however I was going to be out of town that week so we decided to pick it up the following Saturday. We arrived to pick up the car and found out there were no mats and no spare key. Why wouldn't someone have checked on this during the week PRIOR to pick up? We picked up the car and as I drove it away, the service sticker in the windshield (from the dealership's service center) read that there were only 464 miles left until it was due for service. ... Really? I called and said something, scheduled it's service and had it done. They billed me for it. ... Really? Another point that's never sat very well with me was that we looked at two 95% identical cars, same make and model but one had a sun roof and the other didn't. The only other difference was the color. The one with the sun roof was $1k LESS than the one I wanted due to the color. Mileage was almost the same yet the dealer didnt want to budge on the price even though I'd be paying an extra $1k for no return on my investment what so ever. Did I buy a car from them? Yes. Will I again? ... ehhh ... I dont know really.
