Took my tacoma in to get it serviced for a recall awhile back and had the best expierence at this dealership ever. The person that helped me and got me in and out quickly was Andrea. She really showed me plenty of aloha. I mentioned to her I needed to be at work at a certain time and she made sure i was out if there with time to spare..Also the woman at the parts counter i irdered my truck mats from was awesome as well..Mahalo's

I purchased my Echo 10 years ago and have been lucky to have Andrea as my advisor. Andrea has always made me feel as if I am more important than anything that is happening in an insanely busy environment. Like all relationships, business relationships are built on trust, and I have always felt reassured that my car problems will be attended to with Andrea as my advisor. Andrea has always checked on every single detail and double checked whenever there has been any doubt. Andrea has confided that she understands how people feel about their vehicles and that she takes the responsibility of helping very seriously. She has also said, that if I can make people feel good / safe about their vehicles at the end of the day I have done my job. Andrea has even given me her personal cell phone number to make sure that I can reach her when she goes to lunch. One time, she arranged my early bird ride to work before the shuttle was running. WHatever problem there is, Andrea has acted like a friend or sister to see me happy on my way. She is a person who consistently goes beyond what is required of her.

I was at Maui Toyota to get a new antenna. Andrea stopped me in the parking lot. She had seem a problem in my headlight. Long story short it was a recall and the claim was filed just in time to make the warranty period. When I had the service performed they also were able to install my antenna without using one of the parts I had previously purchased and refunded me even though it was past the return period. Everyone was helpful and smiling. Great experience.

A/C was not cooling. They recharged the coolant *before* noticing that the compressor was not running. So $200 wasted. Then they tried to diagnose the compressor problem. They kept calling back and asking (vaguely, once saying that they needed a "Hybrid technician", even though the problem was not in the hybrid drive system) if I could leave the car longer, without mentioning that they were charging for that "extra time" - which came to $550 more. Wanted to replace A/C Amplifier and Gateway ECU at total extra charge of $1800 parts + labor (about half for the Amplifier and half for the Gateway) with no guarantee that this would fix the problem. Based on the problem symptoms, the suspicion of the Gateway was unwarranted (because communication from touchscreen through Gateway to other functions was working). I got an A/C Amplifier on eBay for $50 and replaced it myself in less than an hour - and if the trim had already been off, which the service tech had already done, it would have been 10 minutes. So the amount they wanted to charge for the labor of replacing it was completely nuts.

I have worked with Andrea several times and I can say easily she has been the best service person I have met. I have bought several Toyotas from Maui Toyota and have never been disappointed by the friendly and helpful staff. Andrea has been very responsive and explained all the service and charges clearly so there has been no surprises. The work has been either on-time or even early which is greatly appreciated as my schedule can be tight. Andrea is a gem!

My truck was taken in at the time specified, the gal who checked me in was very helpful, as I had a few questions that she answered to my satisfaction. Andrea called me to let me know that they found my battery cable hanging and gave me a great price for fixing it, and did the work very quickly. My truck was ready when they said it would be, even with the extra work. This dealership was so helpful at payment time and had refreshments for us.

Our 2010 Rav4 had a premature battery failure, and we are only on Maui for a couple of weeks. The service shop was booked full, but Andrea was able to work our car into the busy schedule, checking the battery, charging system, etc. She initially offered a discount on an Enterprise car rental, as the shop was so busy. Then she called to say "wait, I think I can get this taken care of in the next hour".She did, and we were so happy not to have lost a day in Paradise! What a pleasant experience. Thanks, Andrea!

The dash board is nothing like I ever had in a car before and he was wonderful in explaining what I was looking at and how to bring up the various screens. We went to the dealership to buy a car and we were extremely happy with the friendly service. Mondi went over and beyond to help make our experience there very pleasant. He explained how to use the equipment in the car and told us to come back anytime if we need help in trying to program the different equipment. He has exceptional knowledge of the products that he sells, very helpful and sincere in getting the car that you want and not pushy. Keep up the good work, Mondi!

Worst place to take your vehicle for service. I've been taking my truck there for service since 2007 when i bought my truck brand new. Since the first service i took it there i have been complaining about my brakes making a noise. (Lemon law?) There excuse was it was dirty. Every time i took my truck in for service i told them about my brakes making noise, and all they say is the brake pads are still good. I also had to pay extra for them to look at my brakes. So i took my truck to my uncle who i watched take off my rear brake drums. What we found was gouges in my brake drum, as if someone didn't know what he was doing or was too lazy and went with a 3" grinder and tried to de-glaze my drum. When i told the service department about these marks on my drum, all they could say it wasn't them, and the mechanic that worked on my truck last year (false) said it wasn't there the last time and if it was there it would have been noted down on the service record. the service manager kind of came off like i purposely did it myself to my own brakes. The next day i personally took the service manager on a test drive, and drove till he heard the brakes make that noise which took less then 5 minutes. Now he's blaming the rust in the brake drum. By the way, your not supposed to wash your truck with your parking brakes on, because water goes in, and your brakes lock up and cause rust. I've been complaining about this noise since the first service, and as the service manager said, "its the rust", they should have fixed it then because that would have been within the 3 year rust warranty. But... Toyota will not warrant this because my truck is more then 3 years old. So, Maui toyota has made an offer to me... no charge for labor, but i will have to pay $393 plus tax for new brake drums. I say thats BSILHLUT!!! Why should i have to pay for there mistakes. I need to speak to someone higher then the service manager. Anyone know who will that be? Word of advise...NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MAUI TOYOTA FOR SERVICEs. TAKE IT TO SERVCO LEXUS. They can service your vehicle there. Better yet, buy your vehicle from Servco Toyota from Oahu, you probably can get a better deal with the shipping included.

I was looking for either a Venza or a Prius. Elvis Aley kindly showed me both cars, and didn't try to push me toward either. It was a very pleasant experience, and I finally selected the Prius. He was more like a friend than a salesman, and I appreciate the easy transaction.The paper work and dealing was as easy as the driving, and I left feeling that he was behind me, and readily available should I miss a beat, or have a bit of trouble. Elvis is a great person to work with. This was my first time purchasing a car and boy did I have MANY questions. I called just to ask questions and Elvis patiently answered them all. He really took the time to make sure I understood what he was saying and he didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time. The day I showed up at Maui Toyota, I wasn't expecting to leave with a car. I simply went there to pick up a brochure from Elvis. Although I mentioned to Elvis that I was there to look and pick up the brochure, he still made time to chat with me and learned what I was looking for in a car. He gave many suggestions to help me decide on the PERFECT car for me. He kept his word on everything he promised and was very prompt at getting back to me in regards to parts being ordered and making appointments for installation. To top it off, Elvis willingly offered to drop off documents to my workplace since I wouldn't be able to make it to the dealership within the next 2 weeks. I call that EXCEPTIONAL customer service!! Therefore, I would definitely work with Elvis at Maui Toyota when I'm ready for another car =)

Did you ever have fun shopping for a car? Nor have I. But this place is different and Elvis and Mondi are right on. When you trust someone and get the kind of service we did then you can relax and enjoy the experience knowing that someone is looking out for you. We bought our Prius V from Elvis and when he was with another client his workplace buddy Mondi stepped in and gave us what we needed too. I walked into Maui Scion wanting to buy a new car. At first I thought the XB was the most ugliest car ever but when I seen it in person I fell in love with it. I wasn't the most friendliest customer, you can ask Kelvin Nishida, he probably thought I was a customer from hell. I explained to him the reasaon why I was buying a new car. He sat me down and told me what and what I could add to the car through the manufacture. I was in totaly shock. The best part of it all, all I had to do is put $200 down and the car was all mine. Kelvin, was so awesome and friendly in every way. When ever I had a question he was right on it with the answer and if he didn't know the answer he would find out for me. When my car came in I was soooo happy and til today "I LOVE" my car!! I have and will continue on referring customers to Kelvin. Awesome job Kelvin, keep up the good work!!

I was very picky looking for a new car & Kelvin was very patient, & knowledgeable about his products. He answered all my questions & was & took his time explaining every single feature. He didn't make me feel rushed at all. I've bought cars before & my experience here with Kelvin was the best yet. Chad in financing was able to work w/me with my payments. The process was very smooth & the financing was a comfortable experience as well. I was even surprised that while i waited every person that walked by me acknowledged me & asked if i needed assistance or just said Hi. I purchased my 2010 Toyota Tacoma in December of 2009. I had the pleasure of having Mr. Kelvin Nishida assist me in finding the right vehicle for my needs. Kelvin was great by providing all of the information on the different trucks they had in stock. I recently purchased three vehicles from Maui Toyota (2012 Tacoma, 2012 Prius, and 2011 Yaris) and took my friend in with me who also purchased a 2012 Tacoma. Our salesman was Elvis Aley. Elvis was very knowledgeable with regard to all the vehicles. At times it was complicated as it was a multi-car deal, involving trading in two vehicles, but through it all, Elvis was very patient and professional. I would also like to thank Chad and Dave, two of the business managers for helping out and for taking care of my friend.BTW, my wife loves her 2012 Prius C and we are consistently getting 65+ mpg!

Just relocated to Maui and needed to complete my new car purchase from the mainland. Elvis worked with me to complete this complicated transaction and picked me up at the airport upon my arrival on Maui with my new car to boot! Picked up my luggage and there was my car waiting for me to drive home in. All licensing title safety etc... Were handled in my absence by Elvis who answered all of my inquiries in a timely, professional yet very friendly and attentive manner. I would recommend Elvis and Maui Toyota to anyone in the market for a car.

I am a victim of Maui Toyota. I bought a vehicle from them and its turned out to be a very regretful mistake. When I brought the vehicle in for repairs the employees disregarded basically did care about the reason I brought my vehicle in. They informed me that the vehicle had some problems and that if I didnt fix them my warranty would be voided. Within two days from getting the vehicle back I found that the problem persisted. I brought the vehicle back and again told them about the problem. This time the employees response was almost hostile and a little demeaning. Again they informed me that I needed some additional repairs to keep the warranty valid and charged me over $1,500.00. After all was said and done, I paid Maui Toyota almost $3,000.00 for repairs on a vehicle I had purchased new from them a few years prior. Get this, remember the original reason I brought the vehicle in, they said it was covered under warranty. H. Maui
