This is a tough review for me to write because it's my first 1 star review!! But I certainly hope it helps you make a better choice in which dealership you purchase and service your Mercedes-Benz. The dealership staff at Mercedes-Benz of Escondido completely runs the Mercedes-Benz name, quality, service and professionalism down the gutter. They are beyond rude and have no problem wasting your time as they lie to you. They have used up countless of my hours without any success each time I have been there. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Given the amount of time I have spent there, I never actually saw a happy customer... it's sad, disappointing, and frustrating. After speaking to Mercedes-Benz corporate offices, which confirmed that this dealership in Escondido gets plenty of complaints, they recommended I visit another local dealership. Keep in mind these are all independently owned, and they are all run differently. That said, I scheduled service at Mercedes-Benz of San Diego and they did a phenomenal job at servicing my vehicle which was still under warranty. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, drive south to Mercedes-Benz of San Diego off of Kearny Mesa Rd, that staff is GOLD!!!

I bought a used vehicle. Drove about 150 miles and the check engine light came on. Only had the car 4 days. Took it back to them, they scanned it. Wouldn't you know it. They said it was the cats and o2 sensors. Now they are NOT willing to work with me on the repairs. They are very UNPROFESSIONAL. DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Don't go there unless you want to be RIPPED OFF!!!

Much to be desired from a Mercedes Benz dealership. Total confusion and lack of communication. Wasted an hour of my time before i could get my vehicle back which was to have been washed, Instead it was dirtier than when i took it in. The two star is due to having fixed my check engine lite. There was no shortage of rudeness either.

They sold me a car that was 16 months old and I thought it was a 2021 model. It cost 41,000. I read a blurb from Mercedes stating it is worth $31,000. How's that for depreciating, WORTH $10,000 less in 7 months. They suck. The only decent person there is Victoria in service. Do not do business with Escondido Mercedes.

I traded in car from this dealer last week. Sales man forgot to give me my old plate. So I asked him send it for me and He said yes. But I don't get it yet. I text to him so many times. He just text back as follows " I'm gonna check tomorrow". I tried to make a call to him but He never answered.I can't understand his behavier after sales.That's just sales car! I'll never buy car from this dealer again and recommend to friends.

Overall, professional and helpful, even though the car I was interested was sold before I was able to get there. Randy, the internet manager took the trouble to call me ahead of time to inform me so I wouldn't waste the trip. I stopped by since i was in the area anyway, and they did their best to find me something else.

The best service I have ever received!I've been lucky to own many of the world's best automobiles, including Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc. -- I thus have had lots of experience with good (and not so good) service. MB of Escondido's service division went above and beyond for my "classic" 2003 S55, and I was visiting from out of state!The vehicle hadn't been starting right for a few months. Mercedes service centers in Las Vegas couldn't diagnose the problem, and neither could private mechanics. Then, during an out-of-town trip to San Diego, the car simply wouldn't start one morning. MB of San Diego flat out refused to see the vehicle, claiming they were packed and I was from out of town. MB of Escondido, however, understood my predicament and asked me to bring the car to them, which I did (it finally started, and I drove it straight there). The following is a list of the fantastic service I received:1.Their customer service rep at first advised that I try a MB dealership closer to my hotel, to avoid inconvenience driving to Escondido. They were willing to sacrifice revenue for my convenience.2.I saw a service rep (Adolfo) within 10 minutes of rolling in.3.They promised they would try to remedy whatever the problem was by the next morning as I had to return to Las Vegas.4.I received a loaner vehicle immediately, without asking.5.The same afternoon I received an update -- a diagnosis was made (!), but the part wasn't going to be shipped on time. To get back home, they allowed me to take their loaner vehicle -- all the way to Nevada.6.When I received the bill (electronically on my smartphone), the invoice was significantly lower in amount than expected.7.They found another issue with my steering column which they fixed at no charge.8.Adolfo then drove my vehicle all the way to Las Vegas to deliver it to me personally (a five hour drive), and pick up the loaner.9.They knew I might never see them again. I was not a resident of San Diego, yet they went over and beyond in service.Blown away. I plan on visiting them again, and quite possibly using them for future purchases.

I am an 89 year old female who was taken advantage of related to the last 2 vehicles I leased. I was charged for services I explicitly told them I didn't want and they charged me anyway. I have been neglected and ignored when I have tried to rectify the issue. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE!

Absolutely awful customer service! I cannot stress enough to NEVER have your vehicle serviced here. With each service appointment, I am more disappointed with each visit. Yesterday, I had an appointment at 9:20 to pick up a loaner vehicle while having my car serviced. I was instructed to wait in my car for my service rep or wait in the lounge. I waited in the lounge for 15 minutes and proceeded to ask how much longer. The chatty staff at the front desk told me my service rep was with another client and it shouldn't be much longer. After waiting longer, I asked for a second time and got the same response. After 28 minutes of waiting, I decided it was best to leave and never return here again! I stormed out in complete frustration. How does one wait for almost a half hour with an appointment?! How long would I have waited there before someone actually decided to talk to me?! In addition to the huge wait time, each time I call to make a service appointment, I can never understand the girl who answers the phone to make the service appointments! Her English is extremely difficult to understand, which adds to the frustration. Never again! Run away! Because of this service department, I will be returning to Lexus for my next car purchase.

Loved all facets of European Delivery of my MB S550 Coupe. But if you are contemplating this program Take care, some dealers are unscrupulous. The MB tour packages are included, as a line item, on the MSRP window sticker. With European delivery, the sticker is placed in trunk pocket. My dealer charged my credit card for the tour in advance and then included the Full MSRP in the cap price of my lease. Note that besides the cost of the package you also wind up paying local sales tax on an item not normally taxable.In addition, the lease had to be printed 4 times before I would approve it (the finance dept. at any dealership is really a secondary profit center) first we got rid of the "dealer Fee" paying the rent and utilities should be a function of overhead, imagine going to the super market and being asked to pay a "Grocers Fee). Next was $1,200 worth of useless sealers tacked on. After that the "Acquisition Fee" was attacked (if there really is one when dealing through MBFS), It was reduced by their so called "Dealer mark-up". The dealer is now in defensive mode.What should have been the trip of a lifetime, was saddened by the dealership's greed. Previous European Delivery customers check your paperwork

Avoid & Stay Away from MERCEDES-BENZ OF ESCONDIDO, do not ignore all negative reviews, they're true & real, I bought a 2013 CPO S550, car arrived with the following problems. Problem #1: there's noticeable dent on upper right front door, close to the mirror,Problem #2: they're damaged and scratches on Front right leather seat,Problem #3: the rear right back seat still look unbalance and tired,Problem #4: Full tank of gas was promised upon car delivery, car arrived with 1/2 tank,Problem #5: All interiors are dirty, especially floor mats, asked for new mats, but got rejected,The dent located on upper right front door, it can't be fix with dent repair, car ends up in the body shop for more than 10 days, the entire right hand side of car sanded & repainted(all snapshots are available to proof), All CPO documents had all inspections done & marked passed,I assumed buying a Mercedes CPO car is hassle free as a owner of 15+ Mercedes in past 20+ years,Contact MBUSA/Customer Care few times, spoke to Gabrielle(Employee ID#6346) and Activity ID#1380938031 filed, spoke to another MBUSA/Inspector Justin(Employee ID#6302) and emailed few time, no help or reply from MBUSA, now that I'm totally disappointed with Mercedes, I won't buy any Mercedes from now on, as matter of facts, I'll sell all my other Mercedes, C63, E350 and SL,Mercedes-Benz of Escondido is the worst dealership I ever deal with, both Internet Sales Manager Randy Johnson and General Manager Rhett Saunders did not take care of customer professionally,MBUSA shouldn't allow such dealership ruin their reputation,

I would like to take this opportunity to commend Amanda and Dawn. Amanda did a very good service when I bought my ML 350 on July 20, 2015. From test driving through all the features of the car, she generally explained how good Mercedes-Benz is. Amanda was very professional and courteous. In regard to Dawn, my husband and I came by to pick up the license plate. Dawn was there and explained fully all the electronic features of the car that my husband and I needed to know. Dawn was very attentive and responded with a smile while she was walking us through all the electronic features of the car. Her attention to detail and knowledge are highly appreciated. We showed up early Sunday morning August 2nd and were graciously greeted by Cheryl Brown. We were interested in leasing; we had a trade in with us but didn't need to buy or make a decision that day. Cheryl was helpful, knowledgeable, understanding, fun, professional, and most importantly never pushy at any time during the car buying process. Cheryl took amazing care of us; we felt as if she was a partner in helping us decide which model and option package would be best. We decided on a CLA 250 and couldn't be happier. The sales manager was also very helpful and understanding and worked tirelessly to get a deal done for us that matched our needs and budget. He was flexible and supportive, never pushy, even though I was a bit of a pain in the behind with rate, trade $$, and option inclusions. We got what we wanted at a price that worked for us. This was the most enjoyable car buying experience (if that's even possible) that I can remember in my 35+ years of purchasing cars. I will be purchasing my next car from Cheryl and MB of Escondido, and highly recommend that anyone else seeking a new or used Mercedes do the same. You'll be glad you did. After we purchased the car I noticed a few small dents which John Bober facilitated the removal of through the service department. Our experience at the service department has been all good. Jeff Jennewein is our service rep.He goes the extra mile routinely.As a professional, I can appreciate the 2/11 rule: Do something good and 2 people hear about it. We are totally disatifed with the poor customer service and lack of respect afforded us. We purchased a 2012 Mercedes C class in Feb minus one key and the owners Manuel. John , our sales person promised to get us these missing items within 5-7 days .....27 days later , no key or manual. We're informed that the key was lost in transit and Al , the sales manager, said he'd didn't have the authority to order a new key for us ($500) too expensive ! Indicated that he would check with the other sales managers but didn't get around to it because he was too busy !Our attempt at resolving the problem was met with similar apathy from the General Manager, Jason Cestaro.....he never called us back when we asked for a meeting . Problem still not resolved .

I have been going to Mb of Escondido for over 15 years. We are a five car family and have been repeatedly disappointed by poor repairs. My current situation with them is as follows; I take my 2006 slk55 amg in for a basic service. Like usual they upsell me a couple extras I'm sure I didn't need. I pick up my car and it was running really rough. By the time I got home it was shaking like a paint mixer and blowing smoke out of the tailpipe. I have to have it towed back to the dealer because the check engine light went on. They call and tell me it needs 2000.00 in parts, but they're not sure it will fix the problem. I tell them I want to pick up the car to take it elsewhere. I specifically ask my service guy if they where able to get the check engine light to go off, and he told me yes. I go to pick up the car, when I get in it, the check engine light is still on. With mechanical experience, I explain how I determined the issue happened due to something they had done. After some warm discussion they pull they car readings from before the work they had done. The readings for those 2000.00 parts were good. They then agreed to fix the issue at their own expense. They call me the next day telling me that the car is ready, but they couldn't actually find the problem. They did something to get the check engine light off, but the car is still undriveable. Large plums of smoke fill my 2 car garage every start and even burns oil while driving. My son and I found the issue, we didn't have to take anything apart. We took off the oil fill cap with the engine running and found crankcase pressure pumping out like an exhaust pipe. This is a highly damaging condition. Amg international contacted me and told me to file a "tips" case with the dealership so that Mercedes international can get involved to help me. I get no help or concern from the current dealership staff.

i had a great service advisor for 8 years. after he left MBZ of Esc threw me to the wolves. a basic service cost me $1,100+ after they offered me a 10% "good customer discount". they said i had all kinds of leaks of something or other although my garage floor was clean. i trust mercedes more than i trust my doctor and believed that the car probably needed whatever they said. when they delivered the car to me my door locking mechanism was broken. i was basically called a fibber by my new service advisor Jeff, the service manager Adolfo, and the GM would not return my calls. i'll let you know how well they do against me in court. i did not buy this car from them because they wanted $8,250 more then Mercedes-Benz of Anaheim. the receptionists and people answering the phones deserve 5 stars, the others ZERO.

Bought a car from Ming, he is fantastic to deal with, drove the car for a week. transmission issue. brought back for them to check it out, came back and tell me it will cost me 4,000 to fix. xxx i said, no way i am going to pay. talked to sale manager to take the car back, charge me 1,000 for using the car fee. 3 weeks later no check in the mail. called him and threaten him with lawsuit. finally sent back. go here if you want to be treated like crap

I initiated contact through cars.com to start the buying process. After a couple of days with no response, I contacted them myself. I explained my interest and the terms which I was seeking, and was met with an "I think that can work, we'll get back to you." I never heard back and after a few more emails to them I gave up. Never a response. I'm quite displeased as I was very interested in the vehicle and was offering up reasonable terms.

Don't deal with an ARROGANT and DISRESPECTFUL Internet sales manager (MICHAEL STANSBURY) I buy cars every couple of years and have been doing so for the past 20 years which means I have dealt with numerous managers and sales people in different states and different manufacturers, but never encountered such arrogance, disrespect like this from anyone! let alone a sales manager!! of course I made sure to put him in his place.I have all the emails of the conversation if anyone wants to know more!!

It's been a couple of years since we bought our first car, it was a C class. Back then we received an amazing service from all the team: from sales to service parts, they walked us through every detail of the car, the purchase, the agreement, the service.We had once a bad experience and filled a complaint form, the response of the Quality Assurance team was impressive: immediate, consistent, coherent with their brand. Amazing!What I like the most is that it is all included, they never ask for more like other dealers do, you pay the price, but the price includes everything, no small letters, no hidden stuff.They go out of their way to meet your needs. A week ago we upgraded our C-class to an SL, the most amazing deal we've ever done. Pam Lanier took amazing care during the whole process, she really did everything possible (and impossible) to close the deal as smooth and possible and we got an amazing service, worthy of the Mercedes Benz Brand. We didn't even have to move away from home.Our family has owned Mercedes since the 70's. They are amazing machines and have an incredible team of human resources.PS. This is the best experience for far in going to Mercedes Benz dealer in Escondido. It was very pleasant and no pressure approach to your client worked best for me. They gave me all the information I asked for and any other information they thing would help me make my decision. There was no hint of pressure to buy a car in my whole one hour experience. We test drove the car and they were very cool in explaining all the features. I left with all the information and very positive experience that I will not hesitate to call them back or go back to them to buy a car. I highly recommend this dealership.

Christopher Bayne was my service consultant during my recent 20,000 mile service. I was running late and let Chris know I would be there about 15 minutes late... Well, 45 minutes later, there I was, and there was Tarren White, the service greeter, welcoming me by name with a friendly " Hello Mr. Rodriquez, how are you today". WOW!! That DOES NOT happen anymore anywhere! Chris was ready to go with a loaner and the entire experience took 10 minutes! I appreciate those that respect my time, and being treated like a real person, not a number. Because of Chris and Tarren, I will only tell my friends and family to go to Mercedes Benz of Escondido

Do not bring your car here for repair because it won't fix your problem and they will empty out your wallet. Brought the car here to fix a problem for close to $2000 and same problem recurred in matter of less than 30 days and they charged another $700 and within 2 months, the problem recurred again and they charged another $700 for repair.

Living in Villa Park, East Orange County, it was with hesitation that we had to drive down to Escondido to get the car that we wanted. However, after our experience there, it was well worth the drive! We got the car we wanted at a reasonable price, and the service of both Robin Reinhard as well as Michael Stansbury was top notch. They both were extremely accommodating and took the time that was necessary to fully explain all of the electronic extras that were on the car. They were professional and polite at all times and made the experience one of true customer service. Never did we feel that horrible "pressure" that we felt at other dealerships. It was more of a relaxed country club environment, and they were professionals who knew and executed their jobs with the utmost integrity and knowledge. I would highly recommend the beautiful drive to Escondido to see either one of these men. I guaranty that you will not be sorry. In this day of high pressure car sales by people who do not know or care about you in the experience, we found that this was a truly pleasurable and "no pressure purchase" by two people who knew and cared about our happiness throughout the transaction.

Great dealership run by friendly, trustworthy, quality people. Earlier this year I visited MB of Escondido in search of a used GL 550. A few months later I received a call from one of the sales staff that they had a car for me. After a few pictures, and some reveals of the small almost invisible scratches, I bought the GL550, sight unseen. When the GL550 was delivered at my doorstep up here in Tahoe, the vehicle was even better than promised. And, the flaws they sent pictures of, I could not even find. Friends did not realize my "new to me" car was 5 years old with 100k miles. Everyone thought it was brand new. It's nice to be able to count on this dealership, even when I'm an out of town customer. And, the service dept is top notch. Their attention to detail is always reliable. Customer service is professional and simply impeccable. Highly recommended place to buy a Mercedes!

It was my first experience with Mercedes Benz of Escondido. All I can say that I was amazed by the quality of the service I received ( i had another bad experience at Mercedes Benz of San Diego and I guess you can tell how good a service is when you compare to a bad one) Michael Stansbury was the one who responded to my email and followed up with me till I made the appointment and went. He let me test drive the one I wanted (C250) for as long as I wanted and my husband too. This way I get a feel of the cat specially I was comparing it with BMW. Long story short I decided to go for it because it had everything I wanted and few other amazing options too. He was very knowledgable, friendly and not pushy at all ( like people in other dealerships I had to deal with) he did everything he could to make it happen the way I wanted. He saved me the trouble to sell my car and traded it in for the price I was very happy to get. The financial department got me an interest rate %1.5 which is better than what I was going to get from another place (%1.9). Him and the manager worked together to get me the car I wanted down to the price I was very happy with Followed up with me the next day made sure everything is good and I had to contact him with couple questions. And as usual he replied so quickly. If there was 10 stars for the rating I would have given it gladly. I am very happy with the car and the service. And I would defiantly go back and refer friends

Bought a Mercedes here.... I have had nothing but bad service..The car turn out to be a lemon!! This dealer tried ripping me off by $10,000 to trade me out of this lemon that they sold me in the first place. The car has had 9 repairs!! and has been down for 60+ days!!! shameshame...DO NOT BUY A MERCEDES FROM HERE!

Just leased my 3rd car with MB Escondido. I HATE the whole car lease/buy experience (would much prefer a root canal) however my last two cars have been leased with MB Escondido and both experiences were smooth and enjoyable. My husband had to leave for a golf game so I started the paperwork process. Piece of cake and good way to spend time. An immaculate showroom and facility. Spotless and upscale, including the restrooms which says something about the pride of management (I have been in luxury car dealerships with less than desirable restrooms). Ming handled the car selection. He is very well informed on their vast inventory. I had lots of questions and he had answers for all of them. Sales Manager Bob was on hand to seal the deal and insure that we were happy which we were. I turned in an E350 that I really hated to part with but leased a new ML350 that is an incredible car for the money. I was not thinking SUV until I drove it and then I was sold. It blows the BMW X5 away. Very comfortable ride and very roomy interior. Just a great car all around. My experiences have been consistently positive, both the actual transaction and servicing the cars. I've always had my car ready and waiting after service, clean and shining, with the work completed on time or early. This is a very professionally run operation, they treat their clients with respect and you get the feeling they sincerely care. We have a history with MB Escondido and will remain loyal customers for this very reason.

We have been going to Mercedes of Escondido for many years since our first Mercedes purchase in 2003. They have always gone above and beyond for any service issues and concerns. Even bringing the loaner and installing the car seat correctly for my pregnant wife when she caught a flat tire in rush hour traffic. Recently we found ourselves aquiring an 80's 260E and they went through it bumper to bumper and provided the same level of service as if it were our 2009 E63. Amazing and impressive. Larry goes out of his way to insure our concerns are cared for and we are motoring safely and keeps us informed every step of the way. We have found the prices for service to be less than our daughters Ford and less to maintain than expected. More amazing. My opinion is Mercedes of Escondido has the best in the industry working there and lead the nation in how to be an unsurpased Mercedes Benz dealer.

I went to MB of Escondido because I saw the car I wanted with the options I wanted at a decent price. The wife and I drove down there in her Jetta and as 20 somethings werent sure what to expect from a MB dealer, thankfully our salesman (Jim) was very friendly. He greeted us right away and let us take the 04 CLK500 out for a test drive by ourselves which made me feel respected and valued as a customer. The car was priced on the low end of bluebook and they gave us a reasonable offer on my trade in (a 98 CLK320). The finance guy (Dale) was professional and got the paperwork done quickly. They didnt try to pressure us into buying anything else and overall I was happy it only took like 1 hour. All in all I would recommend them to my family and will check them out again when my wife is ready to buy her next car.
