I recently brought my car in for A service and Chris Laporte was excellent to work with. There were some issues going on with the car and although the technician did not find anything he took the next step and tightened the suspension. Chris then drove the car with me to make sure that the issue had been taken care of. The technicians did miss taking care of one of my warnings however; it is not a huge deal and will have them take a look next time I am in. As always I was satisfied with the service and experience.

You took care of servicing my car which included fixing the mechanism that operates the sunroof. It turned out that it needed to be replaced but you called and let me know that since I was a valued customer and only had 12k miles it would be replaced as a warranty replacement even though it is a 2010 model and out of warranty. That spoke volumes for the value this dealership puts in providing fantastic customer service. It took almost a week for the parts to come in but you had provided me with a loaner and I was not inconvenienced for one minute. You did a great job of calling me and keep me updated so I never had to call you wondering what was going on. This is 5 star service and will keep me coming back! Thank you.

I purchased a 2006 CLK350 in Feb 2014. Dealer maintained since new. This car has the M272, V6 engine. At the time of purchase, I did not know these engines are known for having bad balance shafts (2006 thru 2009, V6 - M272 & V8 - M273 engines are affected). Mine went bad after 6K miles (80K miles on the car). Mercedes of Portland should have checked this car before they sold it to me. Their web site says "...we make every effort to ensure each used Mercedes-Benz we offer is spotless and reliable". Apparently they don't do this & the repairs cost $6000 dollars. I tried to contact Mercedes of Portland to get this fixed but I'm only hearing crickets. This will be the last Benz I buy.

After on-line discovery of a desired GLK 250 BlueTec at MBz Portland, I called from Montana to inquire. Jodie Johnson took my early morning call and went efficiently to work. The following day we reached agreement upon a four-year lease and essential paperwork was enroute to me. I traveled to Portland the following week and Jodie delivered me from the train to the dealership. With the help of Jodie & her associates, paperwork & familiarization with the vehicle were completed after little more than an hour at the dealership (and a pleasant, unhurried hour at that) and I was on my way to a luncheon meeting. Throughout the process, both in person and by phone & e-mail, Jodie impressed me with her courtesy, efficiency and thoroughness; her commitment to my satisfaction was evident. Bruce Stromenger sold me a 2013 Smart Fortwo Passion Cabriolet and I couldn't be happier with the car, his service or the dealership as a whole. From start to finish, I did not feel pressured, but rather I felt I was educated and encouraged to ask questions until I felt confident in my decision. Even from first phone contact I was sent a detailed package of information on the Smart car choices as for models and the current leasing/financing options. Bruce also took the time to walk me through the package before I ever stepped foot into the dealership. I went in with the intent of leasing a vehicle and instead decided to purchase it because of the great price, quality service, the safety standards of the smart car and all of the special smart car perks. I never would have committed to buying this a vehicle without being 100% satisfied with the way I was treated. When I was 5 years old, a friend of my parents bought himself a Mercedes for his 50th birthday. I remember it like it was yesterday. He gave me a ride and I decided that day, that when I turned 50 I would buy myself a Mercedes. Well, it's been 44 of those 45 years and the wait is finally over. We were driving by the Mercedes dealership in Portland and decided to go in and "look around". We met Dale Acelar and it became apparent that my dream was about to come true. Dale is SUPER knowledgeable about all things Mercedes. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is passionate about Mercedes and has a true love for the vehicle. I was very precise on what I wanted and he was awesome, and very patient with me. Always friendly, always ready to find what I wanted. I left the dealership that day ecstatic. After thinking about it overnight, I called Dale to see if I could come look at a different model just to make sure it was really what I wanted. He was so accommodating. "Absolutely. No problem. Whatever you want." was always his answer. So I came back, by myself, and just sat in the car. I touched everything, sat in every seat, played with all the buttons...all by myself. Dale would come to check on me every now and then, but mostly he just let me play...and fall in love. I did buy my car and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. Although everyone at the dealership was super nice and so helpful, I am certain my experience was enhanced because of Dale. He is over the top professional, friendly, and ready to help. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing a Mercedes to go to the Portland dealership and ask for Dale. Your dream-come-true could be waiting.

This dealership is just lipstick on the same pig. I was lead around , lied too, purchased a car, told my lease thru mercedes had been approved, only to have a call the following week to bring the car back or pony up more money. I was both appalled by the unprofessional sales staff, and finance staff. After purchasing my last new BMW thru Kuni, where the purchase was a delight, I returned there, traded my BMW on another brand new auto and was given the deal of a lifetime. I'll not only NEVER purchase another car thru LITHIA motors family of dealerships, but after this Ill NEVER BUY A MERCEDES - STILL WAITING FOR MY DOWN PAYMENT FROM THEM. -what a sham

Benjamin Tait went beyond the call of duty. He is not your typical car sales person. He was direct and took care of me without the run around you get from car sales men. I had met with another sales man the day before that didn't listen to me and wanted me to wait for him to buy a car when he got back from a fishing trip. He also left me waiting because he had two customers in the store at the same time and was trying to work with both of us. I decided to give the dealership one more chance sense the idiot had gone fishing. I called the dealership the next morning, talked to Benjamin and I had a car hassle free by the end of the day. My next call was going to to California to another dealership. Benjamin saved the sale.

I bought my newborn Smart for Two, Chip, from Benjamin Tait at Mercedes Benz of Portland. We spoke to him first over the telephone. He was nice enough to email me pictures of Chip and a list of his features. When we arrived at the dealership, Chip was already being prepared. Benjamin made the process of purchasing the car pretty much painless, and , in fact, often fun. The manager of the Smart Car division gave us a very comprehensive overview of the car. My home is in South Eastern Washington State and I drove the over 200 miles to Mercedes-Benz of Portland not because I do not have a dealership in my home town but because it was so much better working with Mercedes-Benz of Portland. I have made more car deals then I wish to count and I must say that Doug Foley give me the most relaxed and best buying experience I have ever had. When I made the dive to the dealership I became even more impressed. The dealership building is something every Mercedes-Benz owner must see. It is first rate from the top to the bottom. If you see an accessory on the website Mercedes-Benz of Portland has it for you. I arrived a half hour before they were set to open and I was welcomed with open arms. Doug gave me his desk to use to get my insurance ready to go and had everything I need at my finger tips. When I came time for the worst part of buying a car, filling out paper work Dale made me feel totally at easy and stress free. When I got my car home I had an issue with my Homelink not working. It is not Mercedes-Benz of Portland fault it broke on my drive home. Doug called me the day after I got home and had the service lead call me to try and fix the issue. It is something that would need to be fixed in the workshop and the service lead at Mercedes-Benz of Portland called my local workshop to pass everything along. When I took my car to the local workshop they provided me with the best service I have ever received of them. Mercedes-Benz of Portland has such grate customer service that they force lesser workshops and dealerships to rise to their level. Mercedes-Benz of Portland has surpassed what I expect from a Mercedes-Benz dealership and that is something I never expected to happen. I will be back for my next Mercedes-Benz and I have already recommended Mercedes-Benz of Portland to people in my area.

Short and sweet version: best ever experience purchasing anything ever. From start to finish, middle and even after all the paperwork was signed. Long version: I was originally thinking about getting a bus pass. Portlands transit system is top notch, I love it. But I needed some more flexibility for my small home-based business. I took a quick peek at the smart car prices. There was a special lease deal on the base model of $99/mo. I picked up the phone and called the smart center at the Mercedes showroom downtown. I was lucky enough to get Dale Acelar on the phone. He talked to me for a few minutes and understood my concerns. He was so enthusiastic about helping me that I decided to come in sooner than later for a test drive even though I thought Id need to wait a few months to purchase/lease. When I met Dale at the showroom, I was thrilled to meet the same helpful guy in person I spoke to on the phone. Im not a Mercedes driver. Did you know that smart is designed by Swatch and built by Mercedes? Dale immediately put me at ease in this high end space and he was fun and calm on our test drive. As a salesman, of course he made sure I knew that the version of smart (ice shine) I fell in love with was limited in quantity. ;) I needed to act fast. Actually, over the next week, he needed to act fast! Dale and the entire staff at Mercedes worked for a week straight to get me my baby, Oliver. I was so thankful that the day after I picked him up, I took the dealership a baby shower for little Ollie! It was my best day EVER! If you see Oliver and me out driving around, make sure to say hi! I had supreme, out of this world service from the best car dealer in the universe, Dale Acelar. From the very beginning, upon expressing a desire for a SMART but believing it was not an option for me, Dale was calm, realistic, honest, and trust worthy. He arranged a fantastic test drive and allowed me to really become familiar with the vehicle. While on my test drive he found a spectacular one of a kind 2013 SMART Passion coupe model that was far superior to the one I was driving, with super duper upgrade options and cost less money than the model I was test driving. Throughout the entire process Dale kept me informed and taught me about numerous awesome parts of the SMART. Every time I sit behind the driver seat I am reminded how happy I am being a SMART car owner. It is so easy to park. It has a banging stereo system. I recently drove 317 miles on 7.1 gallons of gas. This entire experience could not be easier and more stress free. I'm thankful to have gone to Dale, would most certainly and with assurance recommend him to anyone interested in a new Mercedes/SMART, would definitely return to him for another vehicle at a later date and know I would be completely taken care of. Dale Acelar is a born salesman, but more importantly he is a phenomenal employee with an innate way of knowing the right car for the right customer. In the past, buying a car has not been one of my most favorite things to do. It has pretty much rated right up there with going to the dentist. However, Dale Acelar with Mercedes Benz of Portland helped to make buying my last vehicle as painless as possible. As a matter of fact, it was a pleasant experience.
