If you are looking for a multi million dollar show room, go somewhere else. If you are looking to watch a big screen TV while the salesman is "fighting for you" with the sales manager, go somewhere else. Michael J. Auto Sales rebuilds used cars and then resells them. The used car lot is hilly and it is covered in dirt and gravel. Some of the cars on the lot have been stripped to provide parts for other cars. They are not hiding anything from you. Everything they do is done right in front of you. This experience is not for everyone. If want to be pampered and reassured that the $4,000 car you are buying was only driven to church on Sundays, go somewhere else. BOTTOM LINE: If you shop a bit and test the drive a few cars, you can find a dependable used car at below blue book prices.

The guys over at MJ Auto Sales are definitely the best in the business. They stand behind what they sell and follow through on every promise. Not only did they save me a ton of money on a great used car, but they also have done some minor repairs that came up later for FREE! I cant recommend them enough :)

If they are a legit "used car lot" why don't they at least have some organization between junk cars and cars for sale. Went there and the place is a joke. Did not even consider buying a car from this lot. Just Google map this place and you will see it looks/is a junkyard. Read a lot of reviews on this place but decided to go anyway. Owner seems to respond to a lot of reviews but always has a defense as to why something went wrong.

I filled out the contact form and the financing form on the dealer website thinking that was what I needed to do to make this quick and easy. I got a return message saying Thank You and call us for more information, and listed two numbers. I called this morning, the first guy answered the phone, I told him my name and that I had completed their contact form and got an email back, he had no idea what I was talking about. I said I guess I need information on this vehicle. He said it is all on the website. I then asked to speak to someone else. He put on Michelle. She was even worse. She WAS NOT going to do anything about financing without me there in person and giving her some paperwork. Then what is the point of completing your online finance application? I thought they were both very rude and unprofessional. The sad part is I was actually going to pay cash for this vehicle and I really wanted it.

I like the fact that Mike is responding to all of the reviews here. It shows that he stands behind every car he sells and tries hard to be a good and honest businessman. I'll definitely consider shopping at his lot in the next few weeks

I bought a 2006 Ford Explorer. I took it for a test drive , I found one minor thing wrong with it. They had it fixed before the paperwork was even done. It was a great cash deal. The lady was helpful and the one question she couldn't answer she went right to the owner to get it answered. Has my car five months and runs great. I looked at over 100 different makes and models and test drove a few. I love my car and will send all my friends your way.

We drove 3 hours to drive a few cars in the Cincinnati area looking for a car for my daughter. We called about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes before we got to Michael J.'s auto lot and asked about a SPECIFIC car and said we would be there to see it in a little while. When we got there the battery was completely dead, a jump box wouldn't start it because it was out of gas. They put gas in it and it still wouldn't start and it had a tire that was about 90% flat. I was a little miffed at wasting my time. Especially when I had called before hand and he didn't bother getting the car ready.

About a year ago I gave Michael J's a bad review. Certainly, there were some issues, but I must say Michael Weinle took matters into his hand and solved the problem. The car I bought was for my then 16 year old son and this car has ran great for a year. It has never needed more than average maintenance. It is a used car lot and I feel like I got more than my monies worth. Looking back on the experience I realize how wrong my review was. Not only did Mike address any issues in the beginning, Mike went above and beyond to deliver a great car at a great price. He even carried the money I was short to buy it without charging interest to me. Please except my apology for the poor decision I made in writing a review I cannot delete. You guys are good in my book and I would buy another car from you anytime. Hope anyone reading this realizes that if you give Michael J's a chance they will not be disappointed. Thank you Mike...

My experience buying a car at michael js was great. I bought a 2002 Nissan Altima about 2 months ago. The car still runs great, I haven't had any problem's what so ever. The car lot itself may had been messy but everyone was help full. I was in and out within 2 hours. I love my car and I wouldnt hesitate to buy another from there.

We bought a 2004 Nissan Maxima from Michael J's and although it was extremely dirty both inside and out we where OK with the purchase. We had dealt with James when looking over the car he's a nice fellow. However, when discussing price Michael J stepped in, big difference from James in customer service and not in a good way. We took possession of the car drove it to our home in NKY (50 miles from the lot) where it caught on FIRE!! YES IT CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! We had coverage on the car luckly, since the response we got from Michael J when we called to inform him of what had happened was to bad for you, I sold the car AS IS!! I have to say that was very disturbing and when the insurance company totaled the car I tried to discuss with Michael J (we owned the the car an hour and drove it 50 miles) about covering our $500.00 deductible. Michael J once again showed his true colors as a businessman by saying again to bad for you the car was sold AS IS and then added "get off my lot". I will not be back, and I would encourage all of you to read the reviews and trust them (BAD ONES). I found out will sitting in their dirty office that most of the positive reviews they wrote themselves...

I was interested in a Hyundai Sonata they had. I called about it and they said they were waiting for a part. I gave them my phone number so they could call me when the car was available, but no one ever called me back. Considering the rottweiler aimlessly wandering around the "lot," I can't say as though I'm all that surprised they never called me back.

Not according to Westlake Financial. They claim they do not charge additional fees. The finance charge is not considered the selling price of the car. It is the cost of financing the loan and has nothing to do with the selling price of the vehicle. You know what you did. This is far from over.

If you want a dependable used car for an affordable price, Michael J's Auto Sales is the place to go. I have now purchased 3 cars from them; 04 - Kia Spectra, 98 Chevy Cavalier and a 03 Hyundai Ascent. All 3 were nice looking vehicles, provide great gas mileage, dependable and sold for under $3,000. They do not pressure you at any time and work with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied throughout the process. I found them online and love that they have a variety of cars that are priced to sell. After test driving one of the vehicles, I found that it sputtered a bit. They had the mechanic fix the issue on the spot. The car hasn't sputtered ever since. Check them out...you won't be disappointed.

I did of lot of research on the Web and on Sunday Newspapers. I went to the dealer for a BMW but decided for the one next to it, a Lincoln Navigator. In spite of a higher price tag, it was in mint condition, fully loaded, less mileage and newer. My statement I want to set, I never felt a typical Sales pressure. Mike and Dan let me check and recheck the vehicle at my own pace, let me test drive with confidence and even Mike gave me a surprise; besides the advertised low price, he gave me a great discount on top of that. I am very happy; they went the extra service to make the paperwork painless and quick. They treat you like you are part of the family and Mike is a hard working, honest person. I plan to go back to add accessories to my Navigator and still get the BMW for my family. Keep it up Mike...!

I did a lot of research on the web and the local newspaper. I selected a BMW and went for a test drive but chose the one next to it. A Lincoln Navigator, that wasn't even on the web listing. In spite of a higher price tag comparing to the BMW, I felt in love because it was in mint condition, less mileage and fully loaded. I did not feel the typical sales pressure and they let me take all my time to inspect. Mike, Dan and the staff were great and went to extra length to accomodate the paperwork process in quick time. I am planning to go back to add accessories to my Navigator and to buy a BMW for my family. You don't need to fight for the cost because Mike gives you the best and lowest. Keep it up Mike...!

I just moved to the area from south Dakota and needed a good reliable used car. Mike gave me a good deal because I had cash. Had a problem with the vehicle he help fix the situation. While eating on my car being fixed I saw another car I liked and he gave my a good trade in value for the car being repaired so I traded the car in and the car I got is running great. If you communicate with these guys they will help you. Thanks guys.

I thought I was getting an amazing deal on the exact car that I wanted, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Just going to Michael J's was a huge mistake. After purchasing my car it was one headache after another. Getting Mike on the phone was like pulling teeth and when he did finally answer all he wanted to do was complain and yell at me and tell me how much this was going to cost me. The only person that was halfway helpful was Dan, and even he didn't care for Mike and his business practices. After almost 2 months of hearing excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't finished,it was finally ready. Then just a few weeks later the car once again broke down and I was told there is no way they did half the work to it they said they did because some key bolts and other parts were clearly never touched and what work they did do to it wasn't correct and some parts were even left out. It really makes me wonder how these people are even still in business and how they can sleep at night knowingly taking advantage of people just to make a quick buck. With all the money I've spent on this car and the second one I had to purchase because I had to have a way to and from work I could have bought a brand new one.

I have never ever had more problems with a used car dealer and I've been driving 30+ years. I had Michael sign an agreement saying he'd fix my problem if I bought it. So I bought it but did he stand behind his signed agreement? heck no. They dont have voice mail because they dont want to hear any comnplaints. A Hamilton county Sheriff later told me they have made calls to their place because of people retaliating against them. Their mechanics dont know what they are doing. My vehicle broke down twice on me for something their mechanic did. If you drive it off their lot, be prepared to take a loss - period.

I'm a college student and wanted a solid, basic car to get around in. I just needed it to work and I couldn't afford to either pay a lot for the car or for repairs. This seemed like the perfect deal. They were super nice and accommodating during the purchase process. They also told me that if I had any problems that they would work with me and take care of it. I believed them because when I test drove my car, the brakes seemed soft and they replaced them right away. So I bought it and the problems began. First the axle started making real bad creaking noise within a week of buying it. They said they would fix it and work with me on the price. That took forever to get the parts (5 weeks) and they charged me full parts and labor. I could have taken it to a reputable shop and had it done cheaper and faster. Next (within 8 days of finally getting the car back), the dash lights would go suddenly go completely out while driving at night. They wouldn't take my calls, Michael told me they wouldn't do anything - I had bought a used car, what did I expect. I guess I expected them to help me like they offered to and support what they sold. In the end I guess you have to remember...they're just getting you to buy a car and drive it off the lot. Once you do that, you're done. Please consider this when looking at any car that Michael J has for sale. Have an independent mechanic look it over and whatever you do, don't count on any help after the sale - no matter what they say.

Advice

I purchased a used car from these guys. I thought it was a great price but one thing after another has broken down with this Jeep. It was an older Jeep with 200k on it. So far the radiator and thermostat has been changed twice (once by them and once by me), front drive shaft removed (preventing the tranny from breaking), replaced brakes and rotors (front and back), replaced radiator hoses, the front driver side door had to be replaced because the door began to hang low, the boot on the front CV Joint cracked and began to leak, replaced tires, passenger side Mirror broke off, rear view mirror fell off, replaced shocks, replaced Coolant Resevoir, replace Starter, replace Tie Rod, replace Harmonic Dampener, and replaced the muffler. Transmission was replaced prior to me owning it but the reason for the tranny going out wasn't addressed. The Transfer Case was bad so my Jeep would bind on every turn. So I removed the front Drive Shaft. Less than a week of owning the Jeep the radiator blew a huge hole. It took them 3 days to do a job that I did in 1 day. I had to do it again because they gave me a used radiator which lasted 6 months. The muffler broke off a block away from our house and my fiance' had to drive backwards back home because of the angle it broke off. Car X fixed it up quick for us and on the cheap. My experience with them was similar to the previous review nice. They were nice and made it seem like if anything went wrong they would take care of it. My door began to sag and wouldn't shut I called them up again to see what they could do. The owner advised going to Pull and Pay and getting just bolting on a new door, said I'd have to wait for the heat to go down before they could work on it. I ended up getting a quote from VANDEMARK USED AUTO to pull a door from their yard and put it on my Jeep. It had to be welded on and used a little Jeep owner ingenuity but the door is on and no longer sags. All and all I ended up doing most of the work on my car, learned alot and had fun doing it, my fiance' hates the car because I ended up putting more into repairs then I have for the price of the car and spotty reliability. Hopefully this is the end of my problem list and the Jeep will last for another 2 years. As always buyer beware.
