Best buying experience ever! I have bought many cars over the past years. From multiple dealerships in the area from Lincolns to Cadillac. No dealership matched the experience that I had with this dealership!! Jordan the salesman was very knowledgeable of the cars he showed me, every question I asked he knew the answer not once did he say I can find out or I can get back with you on that. He was patient with me- I took 3 trips into the dealership and looked and test drove different cars. The best price for my trade in than any dealership between the Indiana line to Laporte Indiana. Never did they downgrade or pick at my trade like other dealerships, they gave me an excellent market value for my trade and best price for my new car. Other dealerships talked down to me-my opinion-because I was a single woman. Not this dealership. Jordan gave me respect and answered all my questions. Made my buying experience an easy one.He was laid back and down to earth no pressure to make my decision in a hurry. Once I made my mind up on buying the car I was out the door and driving my new car in record time. Chris the sales manager was excellent as well. Made it known he stood behind his salesman and the cars he had to sell. I highly recommend this dealership to all single woman looking to buy a new vehicle and want to be treated equally. I walked in with a price in mind and spent exactly that. I bought the best car in my opinion I could get with my trade and cash I had to spend. No disappointments as I pulled out of the dealership.

Their General Manager Art is a nice guy and values his customers. Had a small issue with their service Manager Randy but Art was very willing to help me resolve the issue. Would still recommend this place.

Came in skeptical about being able to finance a new 2016 dodge challenger... but after a few hours and a great sales experience I was able to drive off the lot in my new vehicle that day. My credit wasn't very good but they were able to finance me a really nice vehicle at a good rate. Thank you for all of your great service.

I'll start with saying that I don't understand why everyone else had such a bad experience, but mine was enjoyable.I went to a few dealerships in the area and decided to purchase a vehicle here. Luis was the salesman that I dealt with. I wasn't sure which vehicle I wanted and after looking at a few of them, Luis had me take one home for a couple days which helped me decide.During my overnight test drive, I popped a tire, put the donut on, and explained the situation on Monday. Luis and the manager were very understanding and I wasn't charged for the tire. They ordered one and replaced it for me two days later, had the vehicle gassed, washed, and ready to go! This was my first new vehicle purchase and they were very patient through all of my questions.I am very happy with my purchase from Michigan City Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!

My husband and I drove all the way from Wisconsin to Indiana to purchase a vehicle from Michigan City Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. Later down the road we got our vehicle appraised and come to find out when they ran the Carfax report, there was an accident reported as well as potential odometer rollback. Neither of which we were informed about even when we asked. We are extremely disappointed that we are a victim of this and that we were never properly informed about our vehicle that was sold to us by Blake Klimasara. We will never return to this dealership and will never recommend anyone to them. Stay away!

The answer to that question is NO! My beef is more with the service department. I called and left a message on their overnight line. When I did not receive a call back in a timely manner, I called them. I was told that the service manager handles the scheduling and he was on the phone and would return my call as soon as he got off the phone. That was 9:30 am on a Wednesday. It is Thursday morning and they finally decide to return my call. When I had not gotten a call back in a timely fashion, I called other dealerships on my route and found one who could accommodate me. Perhaps they should remember that they may be the only Dodge dealer in Mich City, but there are plenty more dealerships in the area who will be more than glad to step up and fill the gap they leave when it comes to SERVICE. I do not feel they know the meaning of the word!

We drove from our home in Martinsville to Michigan City to buy a 2007 Charger R/T with the Road and Track package we had been told it was awesome and in great shape with no issues. When we got there and looked it over we had suspicion it had been wrecked but we were shown a car fax type report with no wrecks and were assured it had never been wrecked. It was shown as certified pre-owned and were told they can't get that rating if it had been wrecked. So we bought it and got it home and started having issues within 3 months. Our local dealer did some repairs under the 3 month warranty it had and we were closer to happy then as usual more issues start arising after the 3 month warranty ran out (which by the way is actually only two months as you can't use it the first month or the conditions will be deemed as pre-existing) anyway fast forward to December of last year when it was totaled it and all of our suspicions were confirmed, this car had been heavily wrecked, the whole front end was aftermarket parts and the whole passenger side was bondo.

This was by far the best experience at buying a new vehicle I have ever had. After getting the run around (price changed) from my local dealer I started checking on the web for dealers in northern Indiana. That is how I found CARS.COM I was contacted by several dealers so I started checking inventory. I want everyone to know that all the dealers I had contact with through CARS.COM were great. They answered any questions I had and were very quick with their response. The one that stood out was Michigan City Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge. Internet sales manager John Lipe replied to my email at 700am one morning and was still there at 800pm to meet with me. The price was right, The entire staff was great, We made the deal. To anyone looking to buy a new vehicle, make the drive, it's worth it. We purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership and was lied to about the vehicle we purchased. We got the vehicle home and started looking it over and found that it had rust on all the seat rails that had been painted to cover it up. (Looked like flood car) We pulled a car fax and found it had been auctioned twice and the title had been corrected. We also found out that it was used as a rental car in IL for several years. We also did a Kelly Blue Book and found the value was thousands less than our purchase price. We took the vehicle back the next business day and way met with an angry salesman whom we told we no longer want the vehicle and felt we were taken advantage of and were cussed out and we left the vehicle there. They threatened to have it towed back to our house. which never happened but we are still fighting with them to stop the loan but they refuse. The finance person lied and said there were many more options on the vehicle to get the loan value up so that we could get the loan. Michigan City Chrysler Jeep is the most crooked dealership we have ever dealt with. I would advise anyone to never deal with these people.

I moved back "home" from Florida about 8 months ago and began to realize that with the rapidly changing Indiana weather and driving/road conditions I was going to need a more versatile vehicle. After much time and research my husband and I decided on the Jeep Wrangler. Because I could get everything I would ever want and/or need in (or on) my new Jeep, my final purchase decision came down to color. I wanted to see the actual color ON the vehicle because I don't believe the brochure colors are accurate. I found one of the colors I thought I might like on-line so I called John Lipe at Michigan City CDJR to schedule a visit. Much to my surprise and satisfaction there was a Jeep in every available color on the lot. Once I made my color selection, John began the search for an existing Jeep that met my EXACT specifications so that I neither paid for amenities I did not want or need nor have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery by ordering it directly. I'm sure the process of securing a vehicle on another lot in another state is normally no big deal but in this circumstance I did not make my final decision until about 10 minutes to closing time on a Saturday night! Due to John's persistence with his colleagues in Washington and Alabama and near infinite patience with me and my woman's prerogative, I just drove home in MY brand new 2 door "Crush" Jeep Wrangler with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't!!

This is the worst dealership! They have terrible after sale service. The manager is a complete xxx! Do not buy a car here! They will not take care of you even after you spend a great deal of money!

Was sold a Chrysler 300 that had an after market device epoxied behind the electronic ignition. The dealership programmed a second key to the car for us, which Penny, in the service dept. told us at the time was a "tight fit." The key never did work perfectly. You had to sometimes return the key to the upright position after starting the car and adjust it just so-so. Just little oddities. It began to happen with the original key too. We really didn't know what to think of this, at first it was occasionally then it began to happen more frequently. Last Saturday it finally caused our keys not to work at all. Neither key would turn the ignition at all! The car had to be towed from our garage to the nearest Chrysler dealership which is in LaPorte, where this problem was discovered. I contacted Michigan City Chrysler thinking they would take care of this especially since we purchased an extra warranty with the car. NOPE! I was treated extremely rude by manager ED! Told that the car ran when I purchased it. It obviously had this problem all along. It was just not severe enough to reveal exactly what the problem was! Save yourself some major headaches and drive on over to LaPorte where they know how to treat people!

I went to this dealership just looking around at vehicles my car was on its last leg and I don't think it was going to last much longer. I spoke to Russell Pray one of the sales associates at the Michigan City dealership he was kind and very informative. There was absolutely no pressure from the sales person or any of the management. It was a very positive environment I will go back again!!
