I responded to an add on autotrader.com. The car was listed as a GMC Envoy with Leather and an SLT. I flew in from Wisconsin and when I went to view the car it was not the same car as shown. THe car was listed as leather and it had cloth. It was listed as an SLT and was not. The manager insisted it was an SLT and was sitting near an SLT and was obviously not. The manager also tried to sell me on how clean the car was. It had a small amount of rust in 2 places. WHen I asked if it had XM radio he did not know what it was. I had to take the car after it was discounted $800. I had no choice as it was my only way home. The Finance gal was the only one who seemed to know what was going on. If you buy a car from these guys make sure they have actually seen the car and make sure they are not using stock photos.

After laying down nearly 20k cash to buy a Certified 2013 escape in March I quickly started having problems. Problems that should have been found IMO during the inspection (likely never happened) and during the time one of their office girls drove the vehicle as a demo.... like the heated seats and 12v outlet not working (since the seats were in the heat on position and she had items plugged in in another harder to use spot for 12v accessories). They gouged the plastic trim (this is less then a week after me purchasing it) and told me no problem they would order new trim and a new module for replace what they damaged. Granted it wasn't horrible, but I've had the car less then a week and its not my fault they did a poor job with a customers car.... It is now mid August and I have asked about it several times and keep getting the run around. Still haven't heard anything back from my last visit a couple weeks ago. The kid working the service desk tried telling me my tires that were falling apart in chunks (which a tire shop told me was due to a manufacturer defect) and had a blow out with one was because I was doing burn outs.... yeah burn outs in a 1.6L 4 cylinder. I have put 20k miles (much of which is hwy) on the car in 4 months, I don't stop long enough to do that many burn outs even if the car was able to "light em up" LMAO!!! The first 10k miles all tires wore evenly, the second 10k the tires were completely bald with noticable chunks missing, if I was doing burn outs I doubt I started doing them after already putting 10k miles on the thing. ...Also it took 6 tries (and me telling them multiple times it was battery/ alternator related due to research I did on the internet) to figure out that my alternator was bad when I bought the car as well.... which I think they knew something was going on when I bought it because the battery cover was off when I test drove it and again when I bought it (despite me replacing it when I test drove it) but I didn't really think anything of it before buying it. Then after one of my oil changes the kid apparently didn't check my levels/ top everything off because the next day I was having problems and it ended up being low coolant... literally the day after an oil change where this should have been checked.So if you want to be told your hot rodding your grocery getter, poor service, and have your car damaged at their hands and never repaired despite being told it would be feel free to give Milnes a try... I won't be back!

I found the car I was looking for on the internet. I drove out to Milnes and was met in the lot by Rhonda Jones. She's a good low pressure salesperson. The whole process went pretty smooth and she was easy to work with. I appreciate the manner in which she conducted the sale. The other staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

A great car buying experience.Rhonda was a no pressure salesperson. The car buying experience for me has been very stressful for many of my vehicle purchases over the years. When the need to purchase a new vehicle was imminent I dreaded the process because of bad experiences with less than trustworthy and pushy salesmen. Rhonda proved to be an exception to the rule. The price quoted turned out to be the price.Rhonda never tried to force the deal. It was a pleasant surprise to work with Rhona.

My brother and I just stopped in to "window shop" at Milnes Ford in Lapeer, Michigan yesterday. Rhonda Jones greeted us as we wandered through the lot. We waived her off as we were just "kicking tires",and didn't want to waste her time. She graciously retreated inviting us to bring her any questions. I was attracted to a new 2014 F150 Tremor. She made me an "offer I couldn't refuse" pulling out all the stops by invoking every incentive on the books. By 3 P.M. I drove it home. Rhonda was knowledgeable, attentive and perceptive and quickly earned my trust and confidence. She navigated the sales process with speed and precision. Eric was as accommodating as he could possibly be. He took calls, emails, and texts on his day off. When we needed the car earlier than planned, he helped prep the car himself, so we could take it. I have done business with several car dealers over the years but there are several very unique things about Milnes Ford of Lapeer and there staff. My sales consultant's Val Hamilton and Rhonda Jones were on top of things from the moment I walked in. There was no waiting upon arrival, not the normal high pressure sales pitch and they were willing to spend as much time as needed for me to purchase a car. Right away I noticed a big difference and new I was in the right dealer. The car was the exact car I had been looking for and was in great condition. This was a great used car experience! We did our shopping online and headed out to the dealership. Our salesman, Rob Betley, had the keys ready for the vehicles we had discussed. I have been looking for a new vehicle and had been to several dealerships but because of the lost I would have taken with my Ford Fusion was too big. Rhonda took the time and found almost enough rebates to cover the lost. My husband and I have made several purchases of vehicles and have never had such a good experience. I didn't feel pressured or rushed(which is unbelievable). She explained to me all my options and was able to find what I wanted for a price I could afford. I needed a new car with better gas mileage and comfortable for my wife after recent back surgery. I had the pleasure of dealing with Rhonda Jones and even though we get an employee price on both Chrysler and GM we ended up buying a ford. As long as Rhonda is there we will continue to purchase our vehicles from Milnes Ford especially after we found out Rhonda can help us no matter which manufacturer we decide to go with. The attention to "satisfying the customer " that I experienced was something I've not felt walking into a dealership in decades. Some of my past experiences at other dealers have tarnished how I feel about car sales people, Rhonda Jones has given me a new outlook on the car buying experience. When I first talked with her on the phone her focus went right to what I was looking for, and she never tried to suggest something I wasn't wanting. I was looking for a needle in a haystack. .... a 2014 Fusion, manual transmission, moonroof, low miles and only 3 preferred colors . She searched the country and actually found some and a couple of them were NEW, she worked on this after hours and would email me late so I'd have the info when I got up in the morning. Anytime I'm in the market for a vehicle I'm calling Rhonda because l know she'll go the extra mile to satisfy her customers all while being so pleasant discussing every detail. The Dealership is all new and also very classy.

AMAZING AWESOME FANANTASTIC!!! Tony and I went in looking for the new F150 and found it at Milnes Dealership. So we went in and Eric Trandell was showing us the one on the show room floor. Eric knew all about the new line, we where very impressed with him. So we went back in February and sat down with him and special ordered our truck. We also delt with Dave Lightfoot (NEW CAR MGR.) he told how long it would take and where are truck was being made,and that him or Eric would keep us inform on the progress of our truck. And we picked it on March 16,2015. It was just awesome to see it ready for us. Eric took his time explaining all the bells and whistles to us. And everyone of the employees where just as excite as we were. Rhonda and Chad (Service Manager) were BEYOND wonderful in helping with my shopping experience for my first real car. I came in on Wednesday to test-drive a car that Chad had handpicked for me, and then came back on Friday to pick it up because I fell in love with it so much. This small town dealership comes with big town SERVICE & Sales with out the take a number and get in line feel of the Large town dealerships. Milnes employees try very hard to remember your name or at least what kind of Ford you drive. They are caring and will help you get the best car for the buck from there sales staff. There Service department is what bring me back. If they find a problem they will share all the information with me so I can make the best logical move in fixing my problem. Most of all they back up there work !

I came to Milnes Ford because they had the used truck with all the options I had been searching everywhere for. I was in a unique situation because I was waiting on a settlement check to purchase my used vehicle due to an insurance claim. Aaron Leonard was extremely easy to communicate with and understood what was going on. Aaron was able to get me set up to purchase my used truck even with the need to wait til my insurance come through with my settlement. Milnes was very patient for me to gather all the funds to be able to complete my purchase. I am very happy with the vehicle I bought and very thankful for the wonderful service Aaron provided to me. My wife and I purchased a new car here, and on the way home noticed some mechanical issues with the vehicle. Being a new vehicle and wanting everything to functional we were disappointed. But that is where the story takes a turn for the better!! Keep reading ....I emailed our service rep (Aaron Leonard) at midnight, and explained to him the situation, and that I would be bringing the car back the next morning. Amazingly he emailed me back at 1:45am indicating he was sorry to hear of the situation, and they would do what was necessary to make us happy. I then got another email from the New Car Sales Manager (David Lightfoot) at 6:45am indicating that when I come in, to see him.When I did arrive, everyone was focused on the same goal, and that was to make us happy. We ended up getting a different vehicle as we did not feel comfortable with the one we brought back, and there were no questions asked, no attitudes, just professionals. They even gave me a free loaner while we waited for them to find a alternate vehicle that was like the one we had. In short we were treated like you would expect as you are making a major purchase. Great staff, and can't say enough good about them. Great Ford Dealership!

He was so kind and considerate and treated me like family. Very humble and I have honestly never been treated better. I totally love his sister Brooke too! Proud to know the both of them. It was recommended that I travel to Lapeer to see the advertised truck special offered in a newspaper my friend noticed. I have plenty of dealerships in my area of Utica, but the offer he saw was advertising specifically what I was looking for...a work truck including a plow attached. I am telling you that I was sooo glad to make the journey! The staff was great, the price was great, the truck was more than I expected. My dad traveled with me to see the vehicle and he was very amazed by the team at Milnes. He felt they were much better to work with and talk with. I agree! Go to Milnes & get a test drive or something. They have a good inventory to look at, etc. I am defenitely going to buy from here again if I get the urge.

Two weeks ago, we were getting ready to leave to go to my sisters - my hubby was on vacation. It dawned on me that our car was too small for our family and Parker (our 90 pound Lab). I called Timothy Ericson and asked him if he could find me a bigger vehicle for the same payment amount that I'm paying for my Escape. My hubby ended up staying home with Parker and Tim went to work looking for a bigger vehicle that would suite our needs. When I returned home this week, he had some vehicles that worked within our budget - first a Ford Flex. Hubby loved it, I hated it. Next a Chevy Traverse. I liked it but not as much as I thought I would. The tracks in the second row concerned me and leather was going to be $8000 more. Last night, after being pretty discouraged, I decided to look at the Chrysler minivan's online and call Tim and ask him to find out if any of their minivans would work within our budget. Brad said there was absolutely no way we were getting a minivan!!! Of course, I knew I could change his mind! First thing this morning, Tim calls me, we meet at the Milnes Chrysler in IC and I immediately fall in love with the Town and Country! It was pretty simple to convince my hubby that this was the ONE. It had all the features we wanted and was in our price range! In fact, when I picked it up this afternoon, our payment is $60 less a month then on our Escape - - - that price includes them installing a remote start! Moral of the story - If you are looking for a car - new or used, you NEED to give Tim a call. He is an amazing Christian man that works hard at making sure your needs are met. His main hub is Milnes Ford in Lapeer but can sell cars out of any of the dealerships in Imlay City as well. I owe Tim a HUGE THANK YOU for putting up with me over the last couple weeks. Phone call after phone call, he was nothing but patient!

Tim was wonderful! I sent my son to him to purchase a vehicle for college. I was not able to be there while they looked at cars. Tim took my son to their Imlay City lot when my son didn't find what he was looking for in Lapeer. This is the second used vehicle I purchased from Milnes. In each case the staff at the credit union where I get my loans told me I was getting a great deal on the vehicle. The Milnes staff went out of their way to make sure the vehicle met all my needs. To top off the deal they delivered the car to me while also picking up my trade-in.
