WHEN I GOT THERE I WAS STARED AT FOR 15 MINUTES BEFORE ANYBODY ASKED ME FOR HELP. THEN NOT GIVING ME THE PERSON I ASKED FOR I GOT SOMEBODY I HAD TO DO EVERYTHING BACK OVER PLUS HE GOT THE WRONG VEHICLE AT FIRST I HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN. I HAD TO GO TO SECU FOR THEM TO FINANCE IT AND WE WENT WITH ME AND HE FORGOT ALL THE PAPERWORK AND ASKED ME WHY DIDN'T I GET THE PAPERWORK WHICH I FELT LIKE THAT'S NOT MY JOB TO DO YOUR JOB. SO AFTER COMING BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WE SAT IN HIS ROOM FOR AN HOUR WAITING ON HIM HE NEVER CAME IN AND SAID STILL WAITING OR NOTHING. I took my car in for service and they said I had a oil leak, which I'd never noticed even though I park my car in a garage. Thy advised to bring it back when I reached 1000 miles and the would check to see if it was still leaking. If it was, they would keep it and provide me with a rental since my vehicle is still under warranty. I took it back at 1000 miles and it was still leaking. I was then told that they couldn't give me a rental until the parts came in. I had to go back 3 days later. They kept my car almost 2 weeks after advising that I had additional crankcase issues. I just picked it up this past Saturday. My car is now smoking, has leaked oil on my garage floor and guess where I'll be tomorrow....back at the xxxx dealership again for another wasted Saturday..the 5th one in little over a month. My car has 41000 miles on it and should not be having this kind of issues. I keep my vehicle serviced, have been a loyal customer, and have even sent customers your way but no more. I'm a widow and keep my vehicle in good shape so as not to break down at night while alone. I would think that you...a proclaimed customer oriented dealership, would considers customers like me when you do service work instead of doing shoddy repairs while filling your pockets with money either from your customers or the warranty center. If I could have given you zero stars I would have and once this piece of crap car is gone, I'll never deal with you again and will let everyone I know who's considering purchasing a car not to come to you.

All the employees in site seemed to be happy and smiling, a sign of a good place to work. Andrea in finance did a great job showing me a few very good options that made sense to me. Still no pressure here. As I was leaving the manager Jeff, thanked me for buying the Colorado. After everything is said and done, this should be the place that everyone should buy their next car or truck. Buying my Colorado here made me think of the fact that Modern has been in business a long time. I remember when I was a kid they were in downtown Winston. Thanks Modern Chevrolet for giving me such a great truck buying experience.

Found desired vehicle on Cars.com. After several e-mails it was confirmed the truck was in stock and met my desired requirements. After 2.5 hr drive and 3-hr of negotiations the truck was purchased. Sales rep Joey worked with us to get price in the where we needed it to be. Do ask questions though as the listed price may not include options added by dealer which will inflate internet price.

First and foremost Henry McDonough is the most competent, caring, and professional sales person I have every dealt with. While this is my eleventh Corvette since 1997 I have purchased another twenty cars of different types in that time. I have had some great experiences but Henry went the extra TEN miles. He asked me a battery of questions that I had NEVER been asked before. He asked these questions to ensure that I got EVERY single discount possible. He guided me through the process and I walked out the door of this dealership feeling like I had personally facilitated my own dream deal for my dream car. I FINALLY was able to get a ZO6 Corvette. I have never been willing to pay the crazy prices demanded for the king of Corvettes, but the deal I got at Modern was seriously unbelievable. When I tell fellow Corvette owners the price I paid out the door they are in disbelief. The price, coupled with amazing customer experience leaves me feeling a connection and loyalty to Henry and to Modern Chevrolet. The finance representative Andre Joyner was also VERY helpful and guided me in what I needed to do to finalize the deal and secure all applicable rebates and incentives. In the future I would likely pay a higher price for the same car because of the entire experience with the people at the dealership.

What a scam.... Advertised a used car at a price but then the final price was almost a thousand dollars more. They charge a 600 dealership fee on every single car they sell. When questioned about it the salesperson became aggressive and stated that plenty of people just pay it and that they didn't need my business. Her only defense was that some lots charge more....... Well some lots don't charge one at all. As high as both new and used cars are, the last thing we as consumers need is someone making more money just because they can.

When I stepped into the dealership I was greeted warmly and professionally. I already had an appointment with Curtis Johnson, who was very professional and knowledgeable. We went out to look at the car I was interested in, he went over the paperwork in a detailed manner, we went on a test drive, he answered all questions I had. He made my car buying experience a very personable and smooth one! I met Nicole that night (I worked third shift and I had to go back in that night) she was very nice and we agreed that I would come back in the next day. She too was knowledgeable about the features of my car, getting me set up with onstar,etc. She was very patient with me, as my previous car was a 1990 so this was all new to me. In Curtis and Nicole these two are true assets to your dealership!

Waited 4 hours for an NC inspection and for them to repair something that one of their workers broke and lefts when they performed the ignition recall. The biggest issues I had is that after 2 hours of waiting I had to hunt down the woman that checked me in for her to go check to then inform me they were getting the part for the warehouse. Didn't tell me how long the wait would be. I wait another hour no updates of any kind. Wait another 39 minutes no update. I hunt her down again for her to inform me the part is here it will take about 20 mins to install. That was 2 minutes ago. I'm sorry but things going have been done better on the updating and even if I wanted them to make me wait this long for something they broke to begin with.

I like these guys a lot. All dealerships are not created equal. These guys have heavy buying power which means they can be squeezed more on the price then other dealerships. Just remember they are in business to make money so if you don't squeeze don't expect them to offer all they have to offer. These guys are fantastic at making deals happen even though they are consistent in low balling your trade. But again.....squeeze back. Will gladly buy from again. Not as happy with service as I used to be...made an appointment and explained that I needed a ride...this was not conveyed to shuttle driver...but shuttle driver (Lawrence) showed up quickly and made sure that I got to work on time. Then I left coupon for oil change, tire rotation and routine check of fluids, etc....evidently this didn't get written up because lady called to say my car was ready and gave me the amount. I asked if tires were rotated, etc...She said she didn't think so but she would get it back out to service to get them rotated...I think my tires were rotated based on invoice but it was actually cheaper than coupon so I'm not sure if fluids and other things listed on coupon were done or not. These are not big issues but nothing like this has ever happened to me before at Modern. Lawrence did a great job as usual taking me to work and picking me up.

I then made another appointment the following morning for a diagnostic test and was informed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Your dealership is 1 hour away from my home, so I waited until I had a day off with a little extra time to make the trip. I arrived on 7-3-15 and had plenty of time to browse. I was not " attacked " by your salemen, as is so often the case at dealerships. My sales associate , Monte Hall; was fantastic.I felt no pressure to purchase anything, but was provided with the information needed to make an informed decision. The finance associate Steve, did a great job at getting us an even better interest rate than we had expected. All involved very professional and very friendly.I'm sorry,but I cannot remember the lady's name that went outside with us and helped show us how to work all the gadgets in the car, set up on-star, etc.. but she was super friendly and helpful.I do remember her saying that it was her first week at Modern....if that helps identify her. And you would not have known that about her. She was quite knowledegable and helpful. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. And in case you haven't figured it out, I did purchase a new car that day :) which I am also quite happy with. The work took a bit longer than she estimated, not that that was a problem for me, so she offered a coupon for a car wash for the next service visit. Prior to arriving, I already knew the specific 2015 Silverado I wanted to look at and possibly purchase. I advised the salesman up front that I had limited time and had to depart by 5:30 at the latest, but my goal was to test drive the vehicle and then come back the following week to work out arrangements to purchase, if everything went well. Initially, the salesman got the keys for the wrong vehicle. I told him right away that this was the wrong vehicle as I had been to the lot several times and we were walking towards an extended cab, and I wanted the crew cab. He told me that it was probably moved since I had been there, and led me to the wrong vehicle. I then told him where the correct vehicle was parked and he went back and got the keys. When we got in the vehicle and started it, the low gas light was on and we had to go back and get a gas card, then go to the gas station - at 5:00 on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Once finished, the test drive went great. I told the salesman that I would call back later the following week to see if we could work out a deal. He then asked me if I was aware that the internet price did not include dealer installed options. I was surprised at this, as I was looking at details for a specific vehicle and my assumption was that the price would be accurate. I will say that in the small print at the bottom of the website for this vehicle it does says "All available rebates use Sale Price, but Sale Price does not include dealer installed accessories." When I called back the following week, the price I was given was about $2000 more than the internet price. I was give $1687 LESS savings than the savings advertised, to this day, for this vehicle. I voiced my concern over this, basically saying that if they would honor the price on the internet, I would purchase it. They refused to do so. I have test driven 2 other vehicles at different dealerships and in each case the price I was given was LESS than the internet price. Both dealers told me that their price includes anything added to that vehicle and the price would never be higher than what is listed on the site. I was very happy with the salesman and everything else about this transaction, but the issue on the price upset me and caused this to be a negative experience.

I was very excited that I had found a jeep that I really liked and had worked with Marley who was very nice and provided me with great customer service. Fortunately I was able to secure the car with a down payment since I was driving 4 hours from my home to purchase the car. After working with a dealer and agreeing on a price, that's when it all went down hill.. We felt as if they had our purchase so they no longer needed to 'treat us the modern way.' Our dealer was in a hurry & we felt rushed. I understand he probably wanted to he home soon but so did we and we wanted to actually go home with a new jeep! Bottom line, Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service.. We arrived at the dealership at 4 thinking that was plenty of time to test drive and purchase. Since they closed at 6.. We were wrong. We spent 5 hours waiting after we agreed on a price. Finally the 5 hours passed & we were finally able to make the final deal with Steve . The moment we had been patently waiting for, only to find out the dealer and the sales representative didn't translate carefully and I needed to pay 1500 dollars more for the jeep! At that point I was tired, hungry, irritated, and didn't have an extra 1500. So there we went unhappy, jeep less, and not arriving home until 3am! Maybe offering a drink to us would have made me less irritable, maybe having a dealer communicate with us, or just some nice customer service like marley provided over the phone. Seriously disappointed in the dealership and wouldn't recommend taking your chances like we did'

I went in to have my oil changed and tires rotated as part of my maintenance plan. I made an appointment for 1:00 but was told they could work me in earlier. It took 2 hours! Why have appointments if you aren't going to honor them? So glad my maintenance plan is almost up so I can go elsewhere and have my oil changed in 20 minutes.

Took my vehicle in for routine oil change and tire rotation. Vehicle was at 61,000. Instructed if anything needed to be done to let me know (rather have it done while there instead of having to schedule to bring it back) also asked to make sure brakes and tires were good. Return to pick up only oil change and tire rotation done. Did not call and ask about doing the 60,000 maintenance. When asked said I could get it done next time or to bring it back. In past I would get a call to remind and ask me what if I wanted it done. With all recent changes in service department I was very disappointed that this was not done.

Modern was quick to contact me after filling out the online pre-approval form to schedule a test drive, but when I got to the dealership the 4.8 online ratings went to 1.0 fast. I have never been to a car dealership like this. My Sales Consultant got my info, gave me something to drink, ran my credit, left me in his office for twenty minutes, then returned to say "the banks are closed on Saturdays and I'll call you Monday, but we're going to make this happen" and sent me on my one hour drive back home. I didn't have the chance to look at or test drive the car I was interested in and that was the purpose of my scheduled visit in the first place. I've called the salesman twice, leaving messages both times, and have yet to receive a return phone call. Car loan approval or not. Your 4.8 rating could be 5.0 if you would communicate with your customers. Happy I didn't hold my breath for over two weeks. This can't be the same Modern Chevrolet my family and friends told me to visit!

My saleperson was Roger Hinton at Modern. I went with an appointment to drive a 2008 Honda Accord,but due to a mix up the car was not available. Mr. Hinton then began to show us others cars that were available in the pre-owned section. He then suggested a new car. My husband and I then looked into the new car section. Mr. Hinton was able to put together a deal that was within my budget even after I had left the dealership once the first offer was made and went home. He was very knowledgeable and stayed on task with getting the numbers in my budget. Im a serious ,numbers crunching type no jokes person and for me to buy a car speaks volumes about Mr. Hinton. I looked online for several days at the inventory; picked the one I wanted out. Then I called ahead to make sure it was still available. As I got there the car was ready and waiting to be test driven. I decided on the spot it was the beat choice for me and my family. Nothing is wrong with the service or dealership. OnStar contacted me an said that my air filter needed service at 50000 miles, but my filter was changed when I bought the car. Maybe you could update OnStar once changes are made to certified used vehicles. I drove from greensboro to winston-salem to find that the filter had already been changed. I took my car in 01/02/15 because of a leakage in my coolant system,(I did make an appointment)Upon arriving a very nice young lady checked me in. After a couple hours I received a call from Brain telling me what was wrong with my car. Brian was talking so fast I couldn't under stand what he was saying. I asked him repeatly to slow down so I could understand what he was saying. He keep on talking I had to get loud and tell him to hold up, that I couldn't understand what he was saying. He's voice began to be rude to the point I was getting ready to hang up on him. I called back to ask to speak to a manager plus I call GM complaint line. Someone did call ne back. think it was the store manager. He apologize and offer me a rental for free until I can get my car. Once I got there I asked for him....I think his name is Doug, he confirm the rental and things was going well, except for the rude young lady behind the desk when she was talking about a deductable and became angry when I asked her what she is talking about. I provide the information and she asked for a credit card number which I do not have one. I have a debit card. She and Doug said I could not get a rental which pissed me off cause I drove always across town for it. I end up walking home cause I could not get in touch with my daughter. I live near downtown that's a long walk.Today 1/3/15I called around 10 am to check on my car and was told it would be ready around 12. I called before going and she replied let me check in the computer, afterward she informed me that my car would be ready around 2pm..... around 2:30 I called again and again the paper work was not done. around 3pm, received a called that my car would not be ready til Monday because my car jumped time and that's what cause the water pump to go bad. I never heard that before. Boy I have never been so mad at the people at Modern Chevelet before cause the use to be so dang professional. They talk to you any kind of way now. I finally got a call from Terry when try to explain the situation and promise that my care will be ready around Monday evening. I was able the schedule my oil change via my monthly On Star email that provides me with my car's diagnostics... Very easy as I was provided dates and time options to choose from in scheduling my appointment. As a bonus I was provided a coupon for my oil change and a guarantee that my oil change would be performed within 30 minutes, in which it was. Very friendly and courteous staff at Modern Chevrolet.

I walked around the lot looking to buy a new High Country Silverado for the internet advertised price, plus tax of course. The salesman was very friendly and invited me inside. After about 5 minutes I figured out I knew more about what Modern had on the lot than the salesman did. I sat inside for over an hour, watching this guy try and fail to simply navigate his companies website. When we finally got around to talking numbers on the truck the price he gave was around $2000 more than the internet price before tax. The "reason" for the price swing according to him was that online pricing is calculated with a $1500 trade in, however when I called him on the fact that it was more than that he couldn't explain why. We then started talking about a different truck. Again he couldn't navigate the website so he got up, walked back on to the lot and got the number off truck to search and find it. Needless to say I left shortly after he returned, in the rain, without a truck.

I was in search of a Camaro, I had been searching online and shopping around but couldn't find the right fit for me. As soon as I arrived at modern Chevrolet I knew I was in the right place. Once we found the vehicle we wanted to buy actually getting the purchase done was a difficult one. Our sales person didn't seem to know how to answer most questions we asked, but did go the extra mile to find out the answers. We went through our bank and the finance department didn't seem to understand what they needed to do. Once that was figured out we took control of the vehicle and was told to return two days later to get the vehicle serviced and to switch tires we had on the previous vehicle. We had an appointment set and when we arrived were told it would take hours. The service person Patrick didn't want to talk to us about it other than to say it he had four others ahead of us. So we went in to look for the salesman who ended up not being there. We were given a rental car to drive but wasn't as nice as the vehicle we just bought. After 2 1/2 hours we returned thinking this was enough time to do what needed to be done. We were wrong. The service person again didn't want to be much help other than to say we needed to come back tomorrow. At this point we are very frustrated with this purchase and are rethinking our decision. Again we have to go find the sales person to help us. He worked out that our vehicle would be completed by 5 pm this day. We return pick up the vehicle and went for a drive. Halfway through our drive the service light comes on about the tire system. Again we have to go back to the dealership. We waited about an hour for the service department to fix the issue. I do want to say that the sales person Mr. Jake Hopkins wasn't at fault for the service issues and delays. My suggestion to Modern is to hire people who know how to deal with private banks, make the process of buying a vehicle better and have a shorter purchase process, and teach your service department how to communicate with the sales team and your customers. When an appointment is made it needs to be honored and when a question is asked they need to be able to answer it with sensible answers instead of "I don't know you'll need to speak to your service person".

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MODERN CHEVROLET service, but I would recommend that the owner of Modern Chevrolet put the Service Technicians through customer service training. Train them to CALL CUSTOMERS to advise CUSTOMERS of the status of their vehicle. While traveling from Georgia, through North Carolina our 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500, still under warranty, stopped running. We chose to have the truck towed to Modern Chevrolet, since it was close by, even though Vann York's Chevrolet in High Point, was closer to our hotel. It was a mistake that we will regret. We were stranded three hundred miles from home in a place we weren't familiar with. After three days, I called the Service Technician, who handled our case, to find out the status of the truck. He said that my wife had called yesterday. A service technician told her what might be the problem; they ordered parts; and that if there is any change in status, that they would call us. I apologized and said that my wife didn't understand what he said might be the problem or what parts have been ordered. He again said that he would call me when he knows the status of the truck. I made sure that he had my cell phone number.Each day, I reserved another day at our hotel with an unknown date of leaving. I called my supervisors to let them know that Modern Chevrolet doesn't know where the parts are, or when the will be completed. Each day, the Technician would never call me, but I would call toward the end of the day to not irritate anyone. I felt that my one call at the end of each day, to find out the status of the truck, was an irritant to our case Technician. On the fifth day I asked him for just a couple of minutes of "customer service" so that I could tell my supervisor in Georgia what is happening. He told me what part has been ordered and there is no further status on the truck. I reserved the hotel for a sixth night. The seventh day I decided to call and talk to a different Technician. He was so informative. He told me that the catalytic converter should be in tomorrow and that they would install it tomorrow. I was so RELIEVED to be able to tell my supervisor some solid information. I was stranded at the hotel a little over a week without a vehicle. It would have been easier for me, THE CUSTOMER, if they would have called my cell phone to let me know the status of the truck. But even though they said that they would call, they would not call to let me know what they knew. I felt like I had to apologize to the technician, each day that I called. I have been working in PUBLIC RELATIONS for twenty four years. My suggestion to the owner of Modern Chevrolet is to put the Technicians through PUBLIC RELATIONS TRAINING. I give them an 'F' in PUBLIC RELATIONS. I cannot recommend Modern Chevrolet. I have been given great customer service from EVERY OTHER Chevrolet dealer, service center, that I have been to. All other Chevrolet service centers have washed the truck too, after servicing it, but not Modern. That is a small thing, but it makes it look like they appreciate the patronage. I traded a vehicle that I was upside down in for a vehicle with lower milege, lower payments that still had factory warranty and did not have to get an older model vehicle. I visited Modern Chevrolet recently, just looking around. I had previously visited modern and purchased a 2WD Silverado. After a few months and realizing I needed a 4x4 I revisited modern and traded the Silverado in on a Tahoe. My most recent visit I Traded my Tahoe in on a 2014 Silverado Z71 OFF ROAD 4X4. Each time I visited Modern Chevrolet I was met by a Friendly intelligent salesman. Bill Wellborn was the salesman I met with each time I purchased a vehicle from modern Chevrolet. I describe to Mr. Wellborn what I was looking for and each time he showed me vehicles that was exactly what I was looking for. I gave Mr. Wellborn my price range and what I could afford monthly and both him and the used car manager each time worked diligently and got the vehicle I wanted in my price range. Each vehicle I purchased I was very satisfied with and enjoyed. I have not had any problems with any of the vehicles I purchased and have owned from Modern Chevrolet. Bill worked diligently with my request and spent 6 hours with me on my last purchase getting the price where I could afford it. Bill is an excellent salesman and I highly recommend anyone who visits modern Chevrolet to speak to Mr. wellborn. I was highly satisfied with my experience at Modern and will return to them when my need for another vehicle returns.

I had great service as I always have. However I would like to point out an issue I have with the service Dept. I came in for an oil and filter change on Friday, March 28th 2014. I was told it would be 1hr to 1hr 30mins wait. I told the customer service Rep. that I would come back later. He told me had an appointment slot available for Sat. morning at 8:30am if I could come back then. I arrived at 8:26am Sat. morning. He told me the rush had beat me there. I told him no problem I have an appointment. So at 10:20am my vehicle was ready. Needless to say I was very aggravated and frustrated because I had scheduled an appointment for 8:30am. Now I said all that to say this, if you schedule an appointment you need to honor that appointment because in this case the appointment meant absolutely nothing. My service work at Modern has been excellent. I am not really complaining. Hopefully this will help reduce some frustration and aggravation on both sides in the future.

This was by far the best experience I have had with buying a vehicle. Henry was polite, honest, and knowledgeable. He made the buying experience relaxing and personable. I never once felt pressured into a car or did I feel as if he was selling me a vehicle. He allowed us to drive a few different makes and models and let us compare and critique each one and gave us different bits of valuable information. After I had decided on the Equinox, Henry came back with a great number that we couldn't even think of turning down! We started the paperwork and had a snag due to my credit. But, luckily Steve from the finance department kept trying and gave me more options than I thought I had. Working my interest rate from 9.4 to a 6.1 and helping me stay well within my budget. The sales person was Marcos Diaz, assisted by Jacob Hopkins, and we could not have asked for quicker service. We were asked if we wanted something to drink several times. We will definitely trade with Modern Chevrolet when we trade again! And we certainly hope to deal with Marcos Diaz and Jacob Hopkins. We have traded years ago with Collins Chevrolet in Mount Airy, NC, and we vowed then that we would never do business with that company again. The service department does good work. I am just not a huge fan of the Chevrolet Spark. I still feel like I was lied to, steered to a Lemon by the sales department, and I am not convinced that everything that broke was repaired completely. I am still having problems with the car, but I am almost consigned to believe that the car is never going to be in the condition it was in whenever I first bought it. I am also not convinced that nobody knew that the car was a dud or a Lemon. I am not going to refer even my enemies to buy a car from Modern Chevrolet, much less my family or friends. I am just trying to just drive the car carefully and try to get 30,000 miles out of it and then trade it in for a Toyota or a Ford, or maybe a Chrysler. I think that I am about through with Chevrolets.

Cars.com prompted a review so here it is. Through the cars.com website I emailed several dealerships about a 2013 Silverado 1500. This is one of the only dealerships that responded to my specific request. Almost every other dealership send me a generic email to call them and didn't mention the specific truck I asked about. I called and got a young lady that answered every question, and even put together a price sheet for the truck I asked about and emailed it to me. EVERY other dealership tried to get me to come in and haggle etc..If you are an internet shopper you know you can't visits every sleazy car salesman for a four hour site down. This dealership is 300 miles away, and I am considering driving down there to make my deal because they shoot straight.

I had a back seat in my Avalanche which was shrinking/shriveling and I brought it in for them to look at. I was prepared for an encounter, excuses, or a hassle because I thought they would assume I had spilled something or used some chemical on it. However, I was greeted and immediately taken care of. They assured me almost on the spot that they would take care of it and they would order the part and call me when it came in. They called me promptly when the part came in, told me exactly how long it would take to replace the seat cover and I took it in and they did just that. Almost no questions asked. They obviously asked for my cell phone number and checked the mileage on the vehicle but did not interrogate me about how it could have happened nor did they make up lame excuses. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. It takes a lot to impressed me and I was "wowed" about the whole thing. Keep up the good work. Modern Chevrolet is almost an hour drive for me because I live on the north side of Davie County and I pass dozens of dealerships on the way there but I don't if I will ever go anywhere else. You have earned my trust and loyalty.

In the past 35 years, I have purchased approximately 20 vehicles, both new and used. I have experienced service at all levels including awful. This was my first transaction with Modern Chevrolet and I am please to say they set the bar for a great car buying experience. I purchased a 2008 Hummer H3 with 89,000 miles on it. The car had been detailed beautifully, they gave me a 30 day Bumper to Bumper Warranty, extended power train warranty, free first oil change, full tank of gas and washed it (although it was spotless). Also, I got free trials of OnStar and SiriusXM.I have never seen a dealer treat a used car buyer like a new car buyer, but this dealership really does. Jake even went so far as to ensure my OnStar and SiriusXM was activated before I left. I do not remember the lady's name in Finance, but she was also a professional, she completed my transaction in about 15 minutes (probably would have been a little longer if I had a trade), and obviously knew what she was doing.Jake showed me around the dealership, informed me of how the Service Department works as well as the rental car program they have which is competitive, if not more reasonable, than the National Car Rentals. If I had not been happy with the used vehicles they had on the lot, he told me they would find whatever I wanted and I have no doubt they would. When I need service or another vehicle, I cannot image going anywhere else. Modern will be my first stop. I hope Modern is very profitable because their business model is top drawer from a customer's standpoint. I can't even think of anything they could do to make the experience more pleasant.

My experience with Modern does not mirror the other reviews I have read. I found a used truck through their internet sales department. One of their agents contacted me and with her sales managers help we agreed upon a price. I explained I could be at the dealership in the afternoon. It is a three hour drive one way.I also explained if the truck was as portrayed on their website I was going to buy it. I even offered to place a non-refundable deposit on the vehicle which they declined.She indicated one other person was scheduled to look at the vehicle but if it was purchased before I arrived she would contact me. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted by my sales rep., she explained the other people interested in the vehicle had left and it was mine. I presented my license to another sales rep. so I could take the truck for a test ride. After several minutes the sales manager appeared to inform me he had just sold the truck 10 minutes earlier. It was not as if I was tire kicker, I had offered a deposit as well as driving three hours (and was in contact with the sales rep during my drive) and explained this would be a cash deal. I was extremely upset and was more upset by the lame excuse of the sales manager attributing this situation to dealing with internet sales. He did however, offer to purchase me a tank of gas and dinner, which upset me further and I declined. Before I left the sales rep offered to deliver the vehicle to me if their deal fell through, as they had to wait for financing to be approved. I was not financing the vehicle but buying it straight out. Pure and simple what occurred yesterday is they negotiated a better financed deal with a buyer in another state with no regard for my offer. This may have been a better deal for the dealership but was not the ethically correct way to conduct business!!

We went to look for a new car for me at Modern. I knew exactly what car I wanted, got a great deal with rebates and walked out with a brand new car for less than what I was expecting. Bill Welborn, our salesman was excellent. He knew everything about the car I bought. Although it was late when we arrived (6:30- they close at 8:30) he stayed as well as the finance manager and other sales members to make sure we drove off the lot with our new car. I checked my tire pressure and had one that was low. I came in on my lunch hour to have my tire pressure checked. The customer servcie rep that helped me said they would also check the tire to see what was causing my tire pressure to read low. I really appreciated the fact that they offered to perform a check to see if there was an issue with my tire because I drive around 50 miles each day to work. I travel alone so I also received reassurance. There was a nail in my tire and I had that repaired. I received fast, friendly,efficient customer service. Thank you! Lana

The service was fine and the service advisor we worked with was excellent. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the length of time we were there; almost 3 hours. I realize I had several things done; however, I don't know that it should have taken 3 hours. I have been completely satisifed with Modern Chevrolet's service department. I have been to another dealership in town once before to use a coupon they provided, but I will not go back there. They were very snobbish and did not let me know what was going on with my car. I had been getting prices online and decided to visit the dealership to look at the vehicles I had been inquiring about. When I arrived, I went inside to get some help. I walked around the showroom and even looked inside a couple of vehicles. To my surprise, not a person offered to help me, even though there were several salespeople at their desks. I then decided to walk around the lot to see if I could locate the vehicles I was interested in. I walked around the entire lot, found the vehicles and continued to hang around for 20 minutes. Again, no one offered to help. Bottom line is that this dealership must be more interested in dealing over the internet than actually talking to people and selling vehicles. I will not buy from them.

First of all the dealership is quite close to my work, so convenience for future servicing is important. After reading other online reviews, I definitely wanted to give Modern an opportunity. I had the pleasure of meeting a salesman there by the name of Jake Hopkins. Jake listened to what it was that I was looking for, took the time to answer all my questions. Jake was not pressuring to me in anyway, yet projected a very caring attitude toward me as a potential customer. I decided to go back the following day after meeting with Jake, and sealed the deal. Jake then took all the time necessary,and didn't rush showing me everything in detail about my new purchase. Jake is quite down to earth, friendly, and very easy to talk to. I will definitely be reccommending Jake to others who are interesting in making a purchase. I think we all have some adversions to car buying, but one thing for sure this is one deal that I am thankful to have made contact with Mr. Hopkins. This experience started with a general inquiry about a car that I had seen on the website. After arriving at the dealership I was greeted by another salesman. After talking for a few minutes, I was surprised that my inquiry was still in their system. The sales person that I was working with was honest and stated that another salesman had answered my online inquiry and that he would get him for me. The process was so easy.. I had only gone there to take a look on my way to work.. To my surprise, I was able to get everything done, including a quick test drive, and still made it to work on time. I only had to go back to sign the papers and take delivery of the car.. this is the first time my car buying experience has been this quick and easy. I will be sure to refer others to Modern. Drove 80 miles to look at a used car I found on the internet. The car was exactly what I had been looking for. My salesman, Harold, made the looking process seamless and comfortable. No pressure at all. Decided to purchase. The finance manager, Steve, took care of all the details. Since I didn't have an extra driver, Harold offered to have the car delivered to me the following day. Soon after the car was delivered, we found a slight problem with the car. Harold assured me that Modern wanted me to be completely satisfied and made arrangements for me to have the car repaired at a sister store closer to my home. The car was repaired quickly and easily, with no charge to me. Have had the car for a few weeks now and am so happy with it!I highly recommend making a purchase from Modern Automotive group.

I went in to Modern service dept to address a few issues with a 08 Suburban that I purchased on March 27th that I have only put 1200 miles on since the purchase. One trip to GA was 800 of these miles where I learned the GPS wouldn't work because I was never given the disc for it to opperate. Took the truck to get a mirror fixed that I found was falling of when I washed it after this trip. Told them that I never recieved the GPS disc, the mirror was falling off and the door handle was coming off and needed to be correct. WRONG, they said I was out of luck on all issues,I should have called them earlier on the disc but I just found out when I drove it. Didn't realize I had to drive a certain amount each month. I thought since I was paying I could drive it ehen I wanted.They suggested I had taken the disc and done something with it and that they would have caught the mirror before it left(trust them They said).They even ask me if I had a job, not sure but I think that was just another way to insult me further.They sent me a message on facebook saying they wanted to find a resolution asap and please come in and see thier GM, I called and he is out of town this week and they hid all my facebook post.So who knows how this ends but until these issues have been resolved I will not refer or do buisiness with them again and continue to post on every site I can to warn other customers.

Everytime someone would call on him he world politely say he was with a customer. And even offered a helping hand after the transaction was complete. Very pleased with Jake he was great to work with making the buying a car business a more pleasant job. The one thing I did not like was the license plate holder installed on the front bumper. I had to pay a lot of money to have it removed and the holes drilled in the bumper repaired. I don't believe this should be done unless the customer wants the holder installed. If I ever buy another car, I will not buy it if this has been done to the car.

Was so impressed with your service. I had recent surgery and was unable to go to the dealership. Roger brought the car to my house to "try it out.". Let me mention we are 40 miles from the dealership. He was so kind and with no pressure to purchase the vehicle. Most of the paperwork was done in my home. Jessica was an awesome saleswoman. From the first phone call to the final papers signed, she was very friendly and eager to assist us with any questions or problems. She got us the car we wanted for the price we wanted to pay and also got us what we wanted for trade in on our car. The only problem I saw with this dealership............not Jessica as it was not her fault............they do NOT fill you new car up with gas. I took my trade in to them with a little under a full tank of gas. I wasn't thinking when we left SC to go there and I filled up but then didn't feel bad when we were told we'd get a full tank of gas in our new car. I didn't realize it until we were halfway home and had to stop cause we were on empty. Jessica Gatewood is definitely someone you would love to work with but the management there needs to be a little more courteous and gracious to their customers and give them a tank of gas before they leave. Other than that my experience was awesome.

I purchased my first vehicle, a 2007 Impala from Modern Chevrolet in 2007 and they detailed my car and gave me a full tank of gas.The over all service was great.I came back to modern to purchase another vehicle because I got such great service five years ago, I thought well modern is like home go back and do business with them again and I did.Mr Jake Hopkins was my sales associate he is a pretty nice guy,I told him what I was looking for and he(Jake)found me a 2010 GMC Acadia.I took it for a test drive with him and my dad, and it drove so smooth, I had to have it. I am pleased with my vehicle because that is the brand I wanted. The problem I had was when everything was done far as paper work,I got my vehicle and looked at the gas gauge it was 3/4 from empty I asked Mr Hopkins are you going to fill it up he said they(modern)only gave me 15 dollars to put in my tank,I ended up putting 60 dollars of my money into the tank for it to be on full.Also I was promised a rewards package via mail I have not received that yet. My wife just purchased a vehicle from Flow Honda and got great service from sales associate and dealership, with a full tank of gas. I'm pleased with my vehicle, but in the future if I need to purchase a vehicle,I would buy else where

When you walk in the door at Modern, everyone is pleasant, sometimes you are greeted outside as soon as you drive up and maybe before you get inside to the lobby. I have known Jake Hopkins for 20+ years and we both are Alumni from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. When I purchased my 2011 Chevrolet Malibu last summer. We have know Jake Hopkins for over 10 years. He is a very good friend of ours and we make sure that we always purchase most of our vehicles from him. We have purchased at least 2 vehicles with Jakes help if not more than that. He is a wonderful and helpful sales associate there at Modern. The last vehicle we purchased was this past August of 2011. We bought a brand new Malibu which the family loves!

I contacted Mr. Edwards at Modern to tell him my dad was interested in a truck I saw online. Later that day he and dad were talking and we drove up there on Saturday and purchased the truck. Great buying experience.Dad is very happy with his new truck and the great customer service. Bill
