The service is fine and everyone is very helpful , but I find it difficult to comprehend how a large dealership has added on a 3percent charge if u use a cc. I understand times are tough and I have no problem with small independent store owners requesting cash in lieu of cc. Any time u go in for service it is well into hundreds of dollars. A 3% extra charge is hard to swallow. Thank you

11/18/2020 I just had my second service completed on my Ford. Super timely and friendly staff. David was awesome! CG Great experience and the Sales Rep kept the sale and prevented me from going elsewhere. Ryan's great attitude and service convinced me I wanted to do business with Mossy Ford. Ryan pulled every color and mix of the 2 SUVs I was looking for. If he didn't have the answer to something, he got it right away. Great service and experience. Washed car with topped off gas tank to drive off. The paperwork always stinks but Ryan made sure to push the process and keep us updated on progress of finance approval and paperwork. I am very pleased with my experience with Khalil. I sent him a quote that I saw online at another dealership and asked if he could match it. They gave me a better deal than the one I sent. When we reached the dealership the care was ready for us to inspect and test drive. Once we decided to buy the car we were finished with all the paperwork in about an hour. Khalil then spent the next half hour walking us through the features of the car. All in all one of the better car buying experiences I have had.

Richard has been a pleasure to work with. I especially appreciate someone who honestly cares about the end user and the practical nature of how a car has to fit the buyer. 1. Mossy Ford will take advantage of you on a trade in. - They failed to pay off my car within the legally stipulated time frame and SOLD it to some one else who racked up in excess of 500 miles on a car I was STILL paying for! They broke TWO laws, not paying a car off within 21 calendar days AND selling a car they don't hold legal possession of. 2. Mossy Ford will take advantage of you on financing. - They will promise better interest rates than what you've received at your bank, show you a letter of approval and write their finance contract as such, but call you several weeks later and demand a much larger down payment or threaten to repossess the car because the bank "changed their mind". This is known as the spot delivery scam. They feed you whatever lies they can to get you to sign the contract and if they don't like their terms, or the sales manager decides they need to make more money, you get this very fun call. 3. Mossy Ford will take advantage of with buying a used car and Falsify Carfax Reports. - Never trust this place. After trading in my vehicle (that they never paid off, by the way), they doctored the CarFax report! They added multiple entries to the Carfax that were NOT true including false service records. If you go to Mossy, you will end up with a car that was never actually taken care of as they advertise and made the Carfax to claim. 4. Mossy Ford will lie to you. - Because of this wretched experience, I demanded we unwind the deal (This is how I learned they sold my trade in prior to paying it off) and told me their car was at first in a "storage facility" in National City. Then it was at an "Auction" in Riverside the next day. When I got my car back, it smelled like old lady perfume and had a bouquet of flowers in the trunk. Im not joking. Imagine buying a car from them they don't own, that poor lady! 5. Mossy Ford will RUIN YOUR CREDIT. - During this nightmare, Mossy Ford added 12, yes TWELVE HARD INQUIRIES on my credit. My credit is useless now. I traded in my car that was financed. I had purchased this car about a year and a half prior from Carmax with their extended warranty. They assured me that the car would be paid off within 10 days. California law dictates they have 21 calendar days to furnish payoff. 32 DAYS AFTER I traded my car in, it STILL wasn't paid off. I was looking at paying two car payments as to not ruin my credit- on a car I no longer had and a car I just acquired. I kept getting passed around each time I called and they just kept saying they were "very busy" (quite rudely, I might add) when I finally got some one and that the check would be sent very soon. Lest I forget, when trading in my car, the advised me to call Carmax and cancel my extended warranty to get a refund. I did so. The refund went straight to Wells Fargo and now the car that I am stuck with no longer has a warranty. And apparently, per Carmax, there's no getting it back. Very close to 30 days later, there was still no pay off and Wells Fargo, my bank, had no contact with Mossy. I made the payment and visited Mossy.I was introduced to the finance manager who told me the financing fell through and that they needed more money as a down payment. I read the contract and I know laws as it pertains to dealerships. They only have 10 Days, per the contract, to cancel the transaction if financing fails. We were into our 32nd day. I pointed this out and refused to pay more. That's when the finance manager got mad. She said "No, we sent you a letter. We can cancel." I asked her for a copy of the letter. She did not have it at first, or didn't want to show me. I asked her to see the letter of Denial, she did not have it, or did not want to show me. After back and forth, she finally gave me the letter of request to cancel due to failed financing. Jokes on her- it was dated THAT DAY, the 32nd day. I asked her for a post dated receipt, or envelope. Because It was never received at my residence. She gave me a Certified Mail tracking number. Not active, not sent. To save myself aggravation, I told her I'd see what I could do and come back the next day. I went back the next day, demanded the sales manager, and told him I didn't want to pay any more money and that they can keep the car, and to give me my trade back. David, the sales manager, tells me to not worry about it, keep the car, they'll be sure the financing goes through, that I wont owe any more money. TWELVE INQUIRES AND ONE DAY LATER. I go back and I tell David that I just dont want to deal with this, take the car back, give me my down payment and my trade and I'll move on with my life. He said hang on, that he'd go get the car. 20 Minutes later, I was asked to step out of the finance office. The door was shut, and though the door, I heard the sales man say "they sold his car", and the finance manager scream some expletives. I dont have enough room for the rest, but you get the idea. Ford Corporate, the DMV and Carfax will be hearing from me about this for sure.

We had visited over 20 dealerships looking at cars. We could not find a salesperson anywhere that would give us information that was useful. Most had no clue about what they sold and others tried to sell us what they wanted to sell. Then we went to Mossy Ford to look at Fords again. We had been to two other Ford stores but the salespeople we talked to didn't seem to know much about anything. We met Richard King and told him we had been shopping for a vehicle but we're not sure what was the best choice. He asked us if we could sit down for 10 minutes and talk about what we expected out of our next vehicle. We talked about everything from From manufacturing and engineering advancements to the pros and cons of leasing. We narrowed it down to 2 vehicles in less than 20 minutes, test drove both (which were the best test drives we had ever been on) and purchased in less than 3 hours. Richard was a joy to work with and Scott the manager was great! We already have 2 friends purchasing from Richard at Mossy Ford. Save yourself time a go see him first. He could save you days and you won't regret it.

I will never again buy a ford. I bought a brand new Ford Fiesta and it does not function. I was told by the dealership my car would "never be fixed" and just to "keep bringing it in". Even though every time I bring it in nothing is done. The car still isn't running properly. I've had my car looked at several times and they all say it's a defective transmission but nothing is going to be done about it. I tried to bring the car back and they won't take it back. I will never buy a ford ever again. They will keep taking my payment every month but I won't have a car. Is that fair?

Short Version: I got more than I wanted without breaking my budget...and enjoyed the experience. 1st for me when buying a new vehicle...Thanks Paulette! xxxxxxx Long Version: I visited no less than 10 dealerships in my search for a new truck before arriving at Mossy Ford. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted and what it should cost me. I was greeted before getting to the door and escorted to Paulette, the sales associate I had contacted online. After a quick sit down we were on the lot and driving trucks. The first thing I noticed was how well informed Paulette was. She had actually driven these trucks instead of just guessing when I asked questions like a few other dealers. If she didn't know (not often) she said so and looked it up when we got back. I thought I was going to have to order what I wanted but Paulette found a truck with everything I was looking for. Initially the price was to high and I didn't want to pay for options I didn't need/want. We sat down and came to an agreed price without me feeling sold/pressured or tricked. I ended up with more than I wanted, still under budget...MIRACLE! It's been over a month since I drove my new truck home and I'm still happy. Paulette checks in from time to time making sure everything is good and to make sure I'm figuring out all the gadgets this thing comes with. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience and would recommend Mossy and Paulette to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

6 months ago my husband and I came to ask questions about extended warranty for his truck and they didn't push anything on us and gave us an estimate and told them we would come back when his current warranty was almost up, but when we came up with money 3 months ago we decided to come back here and do it because they helped us so much and were just good people. And today we only planned on getting my husband's truck serviced and started looking around since we were thinking about getting an expedition or explorer soon. And the man that helped us Jeffery Resendez, was so helpful with us not pushing anything on us, but more like giving us options and seeing if he can get us what we want. My husband and I were starting to change our minds on getting me a vehicle this soon, but they did everything in their power to work with our budget. And I am happy to say that I am now driving with a 2014 Ford Explorer!

We have been customers at Mossy Ford for many years. The service department is outstanding. We recently purchased two new vehicles - a 2015 Escape Titanium and a 2015 F-150 Platinum. Our sales associate for both was Daniel Mooney. He was extremely helpful in locating the 2015 Escape with all the capabilities I wanted. We had to order the F-150 and Daniel was very thorough in ensuring that it would be built to my husbands specifications. The entire staff with whom we interacted as very friendly, professional, and helpful. Daniel answered all of our questions at the time of purchase, as provided answers to subsequent questions, and followed up frequently to ask if we have any more questions. With all the technology on the new SUV and truck, there is a lot to learn about each. All in all, it has been and continues to be a great experience.

First off our sales Rep was awesome. We pulled up not completely sure if we would be buying a car or not. From the moment we pulled in Kalvika ahquin came right to our service promptly, even before i had the chance to speak to the gentleman at the front desk. The service and customer care he provided was excellent and top of the line. Exactly how a car dealership should be. The attention to detail and our individual customer needs he provided made us feel like we were buying a 90,000$ car from ford. There was no discrimination or lack of interest as would be with many other dealerships. The entire time he walked us through every step and if we did not understand something he made sure we knew exactly what our options were at every step of the way. I mean we came in around 10:30am and we ended up leaving around 2:30. it was a very, comfortable feeling and the people over at mossy ford are very welcoming. We ended up buying a 2012 mercedes Benz c250. Overall great experience will be purchasing my next vehicle here for future visit. The sales people are always top notch, finance went out of their way and found an even better rate and service took care in helping with any question I had. I used their website for research and found the service was equal as if I was standing in the showroom. They took in my trade in accordance to their website and the outcome was righteous. Not only did Tommy Roan get us our new family car. He made sure we were getting the right price also. He went above and beyond by finding 2 of the same vehicles. In general, my experience with buying a 2014 CMAX was good. The only poor part of the encounter was that although I had previously emailed that my speech was poor therefore I was emailing my concerns, my sales rep had not been given my email, so attempted--unpleasantly for both of us--to communicate by speech until I insisted that he retrieve my email. After that it was "smooth sailing."Also I might add--and this does note involve only Mossy Ford--that rather than the buyer having to negotiate a price, a fair (say a TrueCar price) and non-negotiable price is listed (similar to the posted price in virtually every other type of store).

after my purchase, i realized there was a small problem with the armrest on the drivers side, they had jimmy rigged it so i didnt notice at the time of test drive. i called to see if the would help me out. basically they blew me off and tried to get me to pay for half, i thought this is rediculous. anyways, dealers and their finance departments are xxxxxxxx and the ones at mossy ford in pb are 1st class in that catogory.

We did want to check out the Camry before we made the final purchase and unfortunately Marcus was off the day we returned. We did our homework via the internet. Did some comparison shopping for different vehicles and different Dealers. The bottom line was we had bought from Mossy before with no problems, they were local for us, and via a Costco deal the price was great. Walked into dealership knowing exact vin number we wanted. It was not on the lot just yet but another with almost same features was, we negotiated additions, they threw in what was on car which we did not think important and within 90 minutes we had spent our money. Picked the new car up the next day. No haggling, no pressure, easy business deal. Nice people to work with and Fabian has been most helpful explaining all the new gadgets over the past couple of weeks.But your website is not so good for entering data as it "forgets" fileds as you enter data.

In fact, I believe that the myth of car sales people being pushy is now just a myth. I think that car sales people are very respectful and upfront about the sales process now! I contacted Mossy Ford through Cars.com to find out more information regarding a car they had listed. I ended up being passed around to a few different people though the process, but ended up working with Steven Tamplin. He was pleasant to work with, but occasionally implied a sense of urgency for me to finalize my purchase. We worked mostly through e-mail and over the phone. While discussing a time for me to come down and look at the car, he offered to deliver the car to my house in Northern Los Angeles. It was very nice to be able to finalize the deal at my kitchen table.

I had been searching to trade in my car for almost two weeks. when i came into mossy ford and i was immediatley greeted and treated very well. i explained what i needed to the sales rep. and a price range to stay within. it didnt take long before we found a great vehicle within my price range and had everything that i needed. We took the car for a test drive and i listened as Marcus explained every detail about the car. he explained what ford had done to improve the saftey of there new vehicles and was a pro with every new feature on the car. we went back in to sign the paperwork which only took about 45 min. and while i was doing my part marcus had taken the vehicle to be detailed and added a full tank of gas. marcus made my car buying experience fun and easy i would recommend Mossy Ford to any of my friends and family! Overall a great experience and great deal. I had inquired online and got immediate response from Derrel and Robin. I waited a few weeks because I wanted to sell my car on my own, I live about 30 miles away so when I sold my car I did it at the bank in PB so I could just go straight there to get a new car. They picked me up from where I was to give me a ride to the dealership and immediately got keys for the car I had been looking at online. They offered us coffee, tea, popcorn and were very polite. I worked with Andrea and David the most. The deal took a while but that's what goes with any new purchase, overall they did a great job and made it easy on my end of the deal. I would definitely recommend this dealer. Also the other sales associates that I wasn't working with, were very sociable and polite as well.

Shopped all over town looking for the best deal I could get. Called Mossy and spoke with Robin about the Explorer I wanted. She was very straight forward and friendly. Went in to see what they could do armed with all the information I had collected from the other dealers. Raul showed me the car I was looking for. (Its amazing all the extras this car has, and this sync system s awesome!) Robin came out and showed me a super deal. They beat the best offer I had received from anyone else! Went into Mossy Ford to buy a new car that the internet said was in stock. Had money in hand. The car was not there, but was in transit and sold to someone else. ( They said ) I was told by the GSM that I could order another one at MSRP. I gave them a $2,000 deposit. He indicated that the dealership has NEVER EVER sold a car above MSRP. My car would be in ,in 8 weeks. In 5 weeks, the same car that I had originally wanted to buy, the same type of car I ordered,with the same sticker price, arrived at the dealership. I was called by multiple people to tell me a car identical to the one I ordered had arrived, and if I wanted that one, to come in and buy it . I went to the bank, got a cashiers check for the down payment, $10,000 , went home to get my trade, and went to the dealership in about three hours.I started to fill out the paperwork, credit application, etc when the same GSM came over and told me the car was now $8,000 more than I was told it would be.I explained that he told me the dealership NEVER EVER sold a car above MSRP, to which he said, you are the first. I asked him how he sleeps at night after we shook on the deal. He just stared at me. He said that the actual car I ordered would be here in about a month, and that one I could have a MSRP. I asked him what would prevent him from trying to sell me that one at $8,000 over MSRP. His answer, and I quote " I can't four-tell the future." Nice honest place to transact business, RIGHT ?At that point, I asked for my money back. They were all too happy to refund my deposit and send me on my way.I actually was made to wait almost TWO hours to obtain my refund. Nice way to do business. I have two words for you . BAIT and Switch !!About three weeks later, I was called by the dealership again to tell me the actual car I ordered had arrived,and when would I be in to buy it. NO ONE at the dealership was ever told about my refund. BUY A CAR AT MOSSY FORD at your own risk guys!!!

This was the worst experience ever! First I talked to Gary Johnson,He was very polite and respectful. I was looking at a car on the internet,He stated the car was having service done it should be done in a couple of days. I came down (85 miles) to find the car had been sold. BUT we have another car. I was already frustrated from the drive i decided to look at my ONLY option. after I talked to Ray The "TOP DOG" he explained that he cant at all work with the price. He stated 24999 was the absolute lowest he could go. THE STICKER PRICE WAS 21999. IDIOT He then stated even I cant go that low WHAT!!! I then told him you show me what the purchase price was and Ill pay anything he wants . Obviously he refused.

I am a repeat customer at Mossy Ford dealership. I came back because of the great service that I have experience with the people that works there. Kendra specifically was most very helpfull and accomodating with our needs. The service department also provided excellent service when I bring my 2005 Ford Mustang for maintenance. I just purchase a new 2009 Ford Ranger and a used 2001 Mercedes Benz and again Kendra and Leah at the Finance Deapertment are most outstanding. I will come back to this dealership when I am again in the market for Ford vehicle. This Dealership is highly recommended.

I was very happy with my dealers laid back attitude (Steven). It made the whole buying a car experience so much easier and less stressful. This is my third care purchase and it took the least amount of time and we were able to get the car we really wanted at a really good price! I actually came to the dealership to look at a different car and found that the Edge was not as expensive as I had thought. I wanted to get the Edge before but changed my mind because I thought it would be too pricey! I am very happy with my purchase!!!

This is my experience with Mossy Ford in San Diego I have been buying cars for twenty years and never had such a horrible experience with a dealership. I have bought a lot of cars in twenty years and I never have had such a bad experience with any. I do not know why this dealership is rude since this is a trouble times for them and treating me like shit was not the way to go. This is some highlights from my dealership from hell:1.On my new vehicle, damage was done to the passengers rim when the salesman made a u turn into the Ford dealership from the Toyota dealership. The salesman acknowledged the damage and we heard it when he scraped the curb. When my son arrived at the dealership later on the salesman denied the damage.2.I explained to the salesman about my trade in that had a lien on it and he did not give the information to the manager which made problems for calculating a monthly payment. 3.The salesman got upset when he found the price was lower on the Internet than on the price on the vehicle, and that is when he started treating me like shit. 4.The salesman was unorganized, forgetful, a liar, and an ass hole. 5.The salesman denied the damage on the rim when we returned to point it out to the manager. 6.We only got $3,000.00 for our trade in on our 2003 which we should have gotten at least $5,000.00.7.A friend of ours came to the dealership inquired about my trade in, they said it it would sell for around $7,000.00 to $8,000.00. That would be making a profit off of my trade in at $4,000.00 to $5,000.00. Now that is robbery since my trade in was custom built.8.The finance person that I had to deal with had been totally rude and uncooperative with me in my questions about certain issues. I found it very difficult to understand him, he had spoken with broken English and his writing was poor.Basically I got the shaft a Mossy Ford and I warn anyone who steps foot in the dealership.

Boy were we fooled by Mossy FORD!! I thought I was impressed with the honesty when we put together our sales deal...then everything fell apart.We put down 2 deposits for my new vehicle....one to be cashed in 4 days, the other in 3 weeks. This would allow time for us to transfer fund between our accounts. We happily left the sales building and headed across the street to the finance department. We negotiated a fantastic rate and were very happy with the results. Contracts were signed, handshakes all around and we drove off in our wonderful new vehicle, leaving my beat-up trade-in behind. We were told we would have to purchase an extra key for my "new-slightly-used" vehicle and that would run about $80-$100. We were off to the dealership that made my vehicle (we did not purchase a Ford) a very happy family! As it turns out, a duplicate key actually costs $220 from Chrysler!!! Well, chalk it up to poor information and bad salesmanship....I guess we will just have to eat the cost. We will call this problem # 1. Here is where problem # 2 began.....I checked our account the next afternoon to see if the funds had transferred yet, and GUESS WHAT? Mossy Ford deposited our check? What happened to 4 days? I started to make phone calls and requests to our sales person, his manager, everyone. I was eventually promised my overdraft funds be paid back to me because "The person that deposited my check quit, but it was their fault." Are you kidding me? It took a week and a half to get the funds back, but eventually Mossy Ford made good on the deal. I assumed that was the worst of it - boy was I wrong! Two weeks went buy and we received a call from the finance department just as we were headed out of town on vacation. The message was,"Hi, This is Mossy Ford finance. There is nothing wrong, we just need to change a few things on your contact. There is nothing big, no problems, but we were able to finance you at a lower bottom line." GREAT NEWS! We go on our trip, return home and scheduled a time to come in to sign the "new" contract. Mind you, we are now 3 weeks post-sale. The price had dropped $3,000! We were skeptical, but nothing big stood out to us. We began to dig deeper, find that our APR had gone up 3% and our bottom line was dropped. Additionally, they lowered our monthly payments. You know the old saying, when it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? Well, we were had. The gentleman in finance told us that "We graciously took money from our own commission in order to finance you." Well gosh, wasn't that kind of them? No - it wasn't. Why? Because when I started comparing the current contract with the "new one" (thankfully I brought it with me) we realized that they eliminated some of the services that we purchased! They were no longer allowing install of our Car Trakker, eliminated our 60-month warranty etc. When we pinpointed the finance person about this, he became very, very angry and started telling us, "If Mossy gives some, you have to give too!" Are you serious? We stood our ground in a very polite way. After 20 minutes of back and forth I politely asked to speak with someone else. Wow - were these the wrong words to say! He started to tear up the "new contract" right in front of us! We stood up and walked away, to speak with the manager. Eventually we got what we wanted and signed the new contract. I was so disgusted with this entire process because the contract hold up meant that my trade-in was still not paid off, and the monthly payment was due already! I explained this to the manager and we were assured it would all be taken care of in 2-3 business days. 3 weeks went by and my trade in was STILL not paid off! After about 50 phone calls (literally) and a lot of irate inquiries to various managers at Mossy Ford, my trade in was paid off. That is it. No apologies, no "Let me make this right and stick to my word"..nothing. During this process, of course all our funds were tied up in deposits etc and we were unable to make 3 car payments. The interest on our trade-in grew, the payoff grew and became past-due. Did Mossy make good on the additional funds? NOPE. Our lender took our money from savings and our checking to pay the difference, despite the fact that Mossy Ford was the one with my vehicle and I had a Title Release form signed a month earlier! The only positive thing from this entire ordeal was that our original salesman tried to speak to our Lender (for the trade-in) to reverse the withdrawal from our saving accounts so that we could have some money for gas etc while we waited for 3 weeks for the payoff to reach them. His attempt did not work and mysteriously no one at Mossy Ford could explain why a pay-off check mailed to our Lender took 3 weeks to arrive. Then, 3 weeks later we get a letter from Mossy Ford saying we owe them $69 because the payoff amount for our old vehicle was lower than what they expected! Never again will I deal with Mossy Ford or Mossy
