I took my granddaughters car in to have the wiring to the headlights repaired. The insulation on the wire inside the lense cover had become so brittle that it had mostly broken off. This is a common problem with older VW's and is a well known problem. The solution is also well known as is the availability of repair kits to solve the problem. The service manager at NorthPark VW Deminion insisted that he would have to charge me a $120.00 diagnostic fee when no diagnosis is required. Would they charge this same fee if someone came in with a broken window or a nail in a tire?

I originally stopped by the new VW dealership to pick up a part for my old Jetta a few months back. While browsing around I encountered Steve Roel who answered some of my questions about current models and features and we checked out a few cars. I was impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm about VW's in general. I told him what I was thinking about buying in the future and instead of trying to convince me to buy something currently available, he said it made sense to wait a few months for it. I remembered his name and asked for him a few months later when I came back. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for and the entire team from manager (Glenn) to finance (Kim) did a great job. Historically my purchases of items like furniture and cars from commission-based stores had involved strict admonitions to only come on specific days when my salesman would be there, etc. Throughout the process Steve introduced me to people from the Service team and other salesmen with the explanation that if he was out, I could work with any of these people I had met and they would take care of whatever I needed. I'm cruising with my '15 Golf TDI.

The customer service was excellent. It was my first time buying a car and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all by them. Steve was an excellent salesman that made the process extremely easy.

I was a motivated buyer for a particular vehicle. Due to my location I was having to do the transactions long distance, but more than willing to whatever was necessary in order to close the deal. I am moving from overseas to the USA and wanted to close the deal on a car so that it was ready when I arrived. Although the dealer seemed motivated and helpful at first, after I gave him everything he asked of me (info, documents, copies of IDs, etc), I basically stopped hearing from him. I sent multiple emails with little to no response and then 2 weeks later I saw the car was no longer for sale on the website and sent an email to ask the dealer what happened, only to be told it had been sold. It was unfortunate because I was ready to put a down a payment and sign all the paperwork had the dealer communicated with me. I had no idea what was going on for 2 weeks and then all of a sudden I had to find out the bad news in a very unfortunate way. I could have been researching another vehicle all that time. I had high hopes for this dealer and they let me down big time.

After having some horror story encounters with other Dealers, I found North Park's internet buying process very easy. I found the car I liked online and made an appointment for a test drive. Steve Roels honored the posted internet price and got me a great price for my trade in. I guess the whole transaction took around 2.5 hours before I drove off of the lot.

I had a great buying experience. I found my car and the buying process was very easy with Earl Witley. They even sent my car long distance without charging extra. I will definitely buy again with them in the future.

Last week on the 3rd of Dec I had an appointment for an oil change. I spoke with Solomon and Erick whom were very professional. I came in and they were on a roll and got my car checked in asap. Shortly after sitting in the waiting area the receptionist calls my name, I had a phone call. I gave my work the number to dealership in case they needed to get a hold of me. Well they needed me to come in ASAP... we had a VIP at our spa who needed a service. So, I panicked! and spoke with Mike Wilson. I said "Mike I need to get to work it's an emergency". He said "no problem Ms. Esquivel we'll get you to work immediately". I said what about my car I work really far and I'm not off until 7:00? Not a problem I will have your car sitting outside before lunch. I was so happy. The shuttle driver Michael was such a nice guy as well. He went and got my uniform out of my car for me before we left. As soon as I arrived at work our VIP walked in after me. I was so happy w VW not only did they provide outstanding customer service but, made sure I did as well. I've bought cars at other dealers but my experience with my salesman Mario Espinosa & Northpark VW has been the best in San Antonio, and their service department has always been 5 star... I will be telling my friends to think about purchasing a vehicle there! Thanks, MS. Esquivel

Sent two emails to the Internet Dept (assuming they have one) around a VW Camper that appears on Cars.com No response from either. If theyre not interested in selling a vehicle, Im not interested in buying one from them. Pretty easy work-that Internet Dept...receive an email-answer an email.

Heed this warning, do not bring your car here for repairs. They actually damaged my car twice while they had it. Don't trust them for your own sake.

Easiest car buying experience I bought twice! First) I was in the market for a new car. My Saab was starting to have problems and I knew it was time for something different. I am the kind of person that like eclectic cars and was interested in the CC. When I went to North Park I was immediately greeted with a smile by Miggy. She wasn't the traditional sales person, and I appreciated that. She walked me over to the only used CC and I was sold on it immediately. I wasn't able to take it that day so I put down a deposit, and thought about my purchase for a week. When i went back to sign the final paperwork I wasn't as impressed with it so i decided to withdrawal my offer. Miggy told me that it wouldn't be a problem, but she had another offer. A brand new 2013 CC that had just come off the truck. I was worried about the price, but she told me not to worry. She was able to drop the price for me $8,000! Then the finance department got me an unbelievable rate through VW Credit. I was the happiest with a car I've ever been! Second) 6 months later we were in the market for a car for my son. I found a Toyota Corolla online that was a bit out of my price range but i decided to go in and see what deal I could get. Miggy wasn't there so Malcom helped us. He was so eager to sell us a car that he took $1,500 off sticker and delivered the car to us that evening!!! A shout out the Glen in the Finance Department! He cut our interest rate in half and worked deal on the warranty. This is the best dealership I've ever been to!
