First of all, thank you Nick!I searched a 500 mile radius for the perfect vehicle and found it on the Nyhus Family Auto lot. And that was my good fortune because if the perfect car had been on any other lot, I wouldn't have come to know or work with Nick Nyhus of Nyhus Family Auto.It's tempting to say Nick went above and beyond Industry Standards but that wouldn't be fair to the industry, or to Nick.He never seemed to be "going the extra mile," even though he had clearly just gone an extra three miles, by Industry Standards. I was very impressed with the customer service at Nyhus Family Sales. The were extremely helpful and I left with the perfect vehicle for me! I called on a Monday and had a new vehicle by Wednesday (I live out of town and had to wait until I had the time to get there). I worked with Nick and he made the whole process simple - I was in and out within 35-40 minutes and that included both the test driving, questions/answers AND all of the paperwork. We live 225 miles away. I went by Nick's word, what he said the vehicle was. When we got there, the vehicle was nicer than what he said. In my younger years, I worked for automobile dealers for about 15 years, & I kind of know how it all works. Nick is a very honest dealer. He told me that he had to use the battery charger to get the vehicle started, and he said if it doesn't keep a charge he would pay for a new battery. Now he wouldn't have had to say anything because we will probably never see each other again. After I experienced this, however, next time I need another vehicle he just may see me again! I have shared this experience with many of my friends already. I hope they all come down and buy cars from you Nick!!

Where do I start? First of all, I was concerned if a smaller business would have good financing options like a large dealer- They do! and it was fast and painless. Secondly, I was concerned about buying a used car from a dealer who wasn't local (I drove 4 hours to buy my car). They have a 6 month or 6,000 miles (which ever comes first) which didn't cost anything and relieved my worry about potentially getting a lemon. In addition, they went step by step through the CarFax report, so I knew exactly what I was getting. The sales people are low pressure and easy to work with. I found their asking price for the vehicle I purchased to be the best. I did my research. I was willing to go to Florida if it meant I would get a good deal Fortunately, I didn't have to as my dream SUV was just over the state line at Nyhus. It was definitely worth the trip!

The day I found the 2002 F150 that I was interested in looking at; I called and left a message since it was after hours and the store was closed. I received a call back from Greg telling me that they had the vehicle at the body shop getting rockers replaced and it would not be ready till later in the week. I thought that was fine since I was in no rush. I filled out the online credit app on the Nyhus website and I went to go test drive the truck. I loved it, the truck was clean, oil was changed, tires were good and it was a type of truck that I had been looking for. Nick invited me into the office, he already had the paper work sent to the local bank that I normally work with since he saw I was a member. He had all the paper work ready to go and waiting for my signature. I am happy that I only had to spend 20 minutes taking care of paper work and getting on my way. Nick even told me to bring it down to their shop for the oil changes and that they would take care of me. With that said, I know I will be stopping in at their store for future purchases.

We drove from Rapid City SD to Perham MN and they were real friendly until after we made the deal. Got less than an hour away and check engine light came on and so we called and Greg said to have it looked at when we got back and he would take care of it. Well, by the time we got to Watertown SD the water pump was bad and it was misfiring so we called to let them know we were having it fixed and they got pissed and said we signed "as is". To make a long story short we were stopping the check and they could figure out how to get the vehicle back from Watertown SD to Perham MN or they could stand behind their vehicle less than an hour after the sale. Pathetic service and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. We also were left to test drive the vehicle when the gas was on empty...maybe because they had reset the check engine light and knew we couldn't take it too far the set off the check engine light again. By the way when we got it to Vermillion SD the check engine light went on again for either an O2 sensor or fuel filter. Don't you think a reputable car dealer would have gone through vehicles they take in on trade a bit better than that. Very poorly run business and definitely out only to get the sale not for customer service.

I wanted to get a decent used vehicle for my wife, I tried to give my business to the local areas in Bemidji, unfortunately all they wanted to do is haggle on the price even and make me pay more money than what the vehicle was worth. Nyhus has a great system, no haggle, the price is on the vehicle and the price is usually below NADA. We are very pleased as Nick explained everything to us, we received a new/used car, low miles and a fair price below NADA with a warranty and we were on our way within an hour. We will be doing more business in the future with them!

Earlier this month a deer jumped thru my windshield tearing the roof back and totaling my vehicle. I have been without a car and looking or something every opportunity I can find. Traveled about 70 miles to test drive a 2012 Jeep Liberty found on their website. Was told the grinding noises and vibration are normal for that vehicle. Haven't heard those noises in other Libertys! Those ones must have had service issues?! Also the Carfax disappeared on that vehicle. Read it once and question the length of time it had been sitting at two different car lots went back to double check that I had read that right and it was no longer available. I'm ready to buy and I can deal with certain issues, I can't deal with being treated like an idiot.

Visted the dealership and met with Greg. I had a 1998 Chevy extended cab with high mileage. Told Greg what my wants were of a newer vehicle. I also told Greg where I needed to be at, price wise. Greg told me that he was going to take a look around and see what he could find at the next few auctions. A little less than two weeks later, Greg had a model sitting in the lot that matched my needs. We live in the Fargo/Moorhead area and had worked with several of the large dealers in town and left feeling somewhat frustrated. The dealers we worked with were very pushy or got mad because we didn't purchase the first vehicle we drove on their lot. They treated us as if we had wasted their time. We found a vehicle on cargurus that seemed to be a good deal and it was located at Nyhus in Perham. As such, we figured we would try to venture out of town for what we were looking for. After driving the vehicle we found on cargurus, we talked with Greg and said it wasn't quite what we were looking for. He was more than friendly and understanding. He sat us down and asked us the specifics of what we were wanting and said that he would find a match for us and bring it in. If we came to look at it and still weren't satisfied we were under no obligation to buy. We also worked with Nick, the owner of Nyhus, on the actual purchase of the vehicle. Again, such a friendly individual to work with. I can honestly say that Nyhus was so great to work with, friendly and honest that I didn't even feel as if I was working with a car dealer. It was like I was just purchasing a new pair of shoes.

I bought a used Chrysler Town and Country from Nyhus, finding it first online. They posted plenty of pics so I had a good idea of what I'd be looking at long before visiting the dealership. The price was very affordable, especially for the condition of the van. I drove down from Fosston on a Saturday, having typed Nyhus in my GPS. I ended up at the Nyhus dealership in Staples...Not Perham. my mistake! I was bummed because I knew the dealership would be closed before I could make it there, but Nick gave up a good chunk of his Saturday afternoon to wait for me so that I could still come! They were very professional and friendly. A good experience all around.

My dad found a perfect vehicle for me online from Nyhus Family Sales, Inc. We had been looking for a few weeks and this was, by far, the fairest price for the low number of miles on this specific vehicle. My dad and I had a short drive to get to the dealership. In this short drive, there were several others that were interested in the same vehicle. Greg politely let them know that he had someone who called ahead and was driving a distance to come see this exact vehicle. When I arrived, I didn't have to be disappointed that the vehicle I drove to see had been sold before I arrived (I have had this experience at other locations). I was VERY appreciative of this! I went in thinking I was going to purchase a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. I found out I could not afford this, so was shown a 2006 Chevy Equinox, which I liked and purchased. I was impressed with the sales staff, for helping me find something that was affordable, economical, and had a warranty. The only thing I was disappointed about, I live in MN, and it gets cold here. I found this vehicle to not have a plug in to keep the motor warm when the temps reach below zero.

I was looking for something I can depend on for winter driving as well as a SUV with good gas mileage. I looked on line and saw this vehicle. It was the exact vehilce I had been shopping for over the last couple months. I called and Nick was very fiendly on the phone. We drove down and test drove the vehicle. It met all our expetations. The price matched what Kelly Blue Book said we could expect to pay. It was a great transaction Nick knows his job and does it letter perfect. My wife and I are very happy with the price and percentage rate that nick put together for us very quickly. I live an hour away and I was down and back in 3 hrs. with my wife's new escape. I can easily say that with over a hundred vehicle purchases in my life time this was by far the best. Nick took the time to go over everything and give options in our best interest, but at no time made us feel uncomfortable. We went to cargurus.com and researched 'good/bad/fair' deals for the type of cars we were considering(Crossover/SUV).Nyhus had the best deals for the Ford Edge we were looking at and for our budget. We drove from Fargo to Perham on bad roads early on a Saturday morning. Test drove the car, we already knew we liked the look of it, and made the deal. Very easy to work with. Very helpful and informational. Nick was a good guy to work with. I also, because of seeing the deal online, knew there would be no haggling, which is what made my experience better. I have bought to vehicals here and have had nothing but problems!! Bought a 2004 ford about a year ago and 6 months in i had to replace the Transmission,Front coil spring rust through and broke and now driving home tonight i lost all lights the i turned the interior lights on and then they would shut off. my volt meter didnt move at all. Plan and simple they just dont stick behind the things they sell. Would not buy another vehical from them again.

Nick was very friendly and casual throughout the process of buying our car. Their were no big surprises at the end of the deal like there had been with other dealers who decided to add different fees after negotiating a price. Whenever we came to take a test drive the car was always clean and warmed up for us and ready to go. When we came to sign the papers and pay for the car it only took about 15 minutes and we were on our way. Nick and I did all of our business over the phone and by email. I loved this process. They shot me a reasonable price on my trade in car and the price they listed for the van was also reasonable. Nick worked with me and even offered to deliver the car to Fargo. Other than the blizzard that pushed back our purchase date by 1 day, I couldn't have asked for a simpler, more reasonable approach to car buying. This is a HUGE contrast to some of the other dealerships we tried to work with. Many of them tried to low-ball us on our trade in by as much as 15%. Then they wanted to play the round around game of asking a manager if they could lower the price of the van or up the price of the trade in, all while eating up our time and energy. Other dealers also wanted to pressure us into financing through them or spending more than we wanted. Not with Nyhus, they got to the point and dealt with us fairly. We are extremely happy with our van and the buying process at Nyhus!

The dealership had the exact vehicle I was looking for. I contacted Greg Aune on a Monday morning to ask about the Denali and was driving it off the lot by noon the next day. Zero pressure. Fast and efficient. Let facts and data make the sale. Friendly, polite, down to earth. Can't give enough props to Nick and the crew. Absolutely, with out a doubt will peruse the Nyhus lot when it comes time for the next purchase. Other dealerships should learn from these folks. Went to 3 other lots whose sales staffs were pushy, overly opinionated, and did not really know the vehicle's history and/or even how to work it's features. Paperwork prepared when it came time to sign, in and out in a flash.

We had been looking for a SUV for a few months. We had some very specific wants. Our son found an SUV on your website on a Saturday. We called about 11 and found out you closed at 1, & we were 2 hours away. Greg said he would wait for us and had the car running when we got there. Found the pickup on line, and contacted Nyhus for info. Greg called right away and we set up a time to see the vechicle the next day. He had the vehicle ready for us, and had someone else looking at it before we got there. Greg told them he had could not deal on it until we had looked at it and decided what we wanted to do. Really appreciated that, and I did buy the vehicle.Greg was upfront with all info on the vehicle, and Nick took care of the financing.

The dealership had a great selection of cars available but not the perfect color so within a short time they were able to find exactly what we wanted. A few months after the purchase we had a minor warranty issue. They were very accomodating by delivering our car to a dealer to complete warranty service as well as giving us a vehicle to drive. As a full time real estate agent ,driving a Suburban, I put on hundreds of miles a week. It was time to look into better mileage. When I first visited with Nick, he listened to my needs. He could of sold me a car immediately; however he told me it would be better to wait a few monthes when he could give me a better price and the demand for SUV's was higher. In the meantime, he found a great car with a spacious trunk for all my signs, etc... Sure enough, in a few monthes, he called and had a great, fully-loaded Impala with leather interior and it was red! The price on the trade had increased significiantly from a few monthes prior, just like he said. Nick is a professional, auto advisor and helped me with my goal.
