Joe K made this the easiest purchase I have made in many years! No games!! No time wasting!! He was kind, and answered all of may questions. When I accidentally left something behind at the dealership, he offered to meet up with me after work so I did not have to take the 45 minute ride back to the store. Lou the finance manager was just as honest.....I will do business again with O'neil and Joe!!!!

They keep customers informed throughout the service process and don't perform extra services without a thorough consultation.The waiting area is clean and equipped with chairs that make laptop use easy. I have regular servicing at your dealer ship. I didn't pass emissions recently so I needed to get repairs to pass, and I plan to go tomorrow. The service department reviewed the issues that needed addressing to fix the problem.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My questions were answered. The test drive went well. My shortcomings made it a hard to adjust to all the features. I'm still working on the app and manual to understand my vehicle. I read the manual to discover there is a 500 mile break in period. A simulated unit would be helpful to learn about the features. There is no blame,that's just the way things are at this time. Overall things went well.

We started negotiations over the phone in up state NY then drove to Avon, CT to finish our transaction. We were worried once we arrived there would be some kind of "catch". We were pleasantly surprised when the transaction was in fact easy and straightforward. Everyone at the dealership was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Knowing we had a distance to drive home, they even treated us to lunch as we were waiting for our new car. We have bought and sold many cars. In January of 2014, I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2011 Buick Enclave from Sullivan ONeills in Avon, CT. I scheduled an appointment on September 9, 2014 to have the air conditioning checked and to have a safety recall issue taken care of. I had four months left on the warranty. The air conditioning was making a whooshing noise and was not cooling well. I got a call from Ray Pelletier, the service manager, a while after I dropped off the car. He said that a mouse had built a nest inside the AC unit. He further stated that this would not be covered under warranty, that they would have to take the whole unit apart to get at it, and that it would cost well over $1000 to do this. They did not have time to do it that day.When I started to use the air conditioning this season, it again made a whooshing sound and did not cool well. I brought it to Gallagher Buick in New Britain. They found that I had a bad actuator, which would have been covered under the warranty. They found no evidence of a mouse nest in the system. This cost me $549.47. I complained to GMC, who contacted O'Neills. They first tried to say that I refused the diagnostic on it. This was ridiculous. I made the appointment specifically to have the problem fixed. Then they said they wouldn't cover it because the warranty had expired by the time I brought it to the other dealer. My error was in trusting the service manager when he told me it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. If I had not, I would have brought it to another dealer over the winter months. I had no reason to do so until the spring because I thought it would not be covered.I am extremely disappointed with Sullivan's customer service and would never use them again.

Oneills did an excellent job fixing the AC on my new GMC Sierra. Ive also used them to work on my Chevy Cruze. They are very good and don't try to get you to pay for unnecessary work like other bodyshops do.

O'neill Chevrolet has terrible customer service. First off, in 2013 I was buying a brand new Silverado and was shopping between 4 different Chevrolet Dealers. I found that O'neills sales department was very rude and not professional. A day after going to Oneills I bought a truck with Loehmann Blasius who were extremely accommodating and professional. Since I bought my Silverado, I have it serviced at Oneills because it's only a 5 minute drive from my house, rather than a 40 minute drive to go to Loehmans. On 7/20/2015 I brought my truck to Oneills to get a routine oil change. I waited for an hour and a half and then "Jose" from the service department came out and informed me that one of the people who were servicing my truck backed it into the garage door, which broke my passenger side mirror. Jose apologized and informed me that they would be replacing the mirror at no cost. I was appreciative of this but also recognized that this is something they HAD to do. Also I wasn't at all upset by this, accidents happen. So after 2 hours and 15 minutes of sitting in their lobby, they informed me that my truck was all set. Since I bought my truck brand new I was supposed to get 4 free oil changes for 2 years from GM. When I went into the service department I was informed that my free oil change program expired on 7/3/15 (17 days ago) and that I owed Oneills $50 for my oil change. Due to the inconvenience and damage caused to my vehicle , I figured that Oneills would jump at the change to waive such a small charge to "make the customer happy", but they did not. I've learned that Oneills in general doesn't care about customer service or making the customer happy. They righted their wrong , but didn't go that extra mile . I will not be doing any type of business with Oneills any further. Sadly, I am now perfectly happy with taking a hour and a half round trip to get my vehicle serviced at Loehmann Blasius . At least there I will be treated with respect.

He also never rushed to get me out of there, and took time to listen. I think this is a forgotten art at some places. Very pleased with the service department. My service consultant Ray is on top of reminding me at visits what is the next recommended service to be performed with explanation of service. I continue to stay with one service mechanic, Corey. I find staying with once mechanic will get to know your vehicle instead of having a different mechanic each time. So far I am pleased and hoping it continues. Very customer centric and friendly dealership. Also good to know my sales consultant Jim P and Scott A are still there which tells a lot.

I've been to many dealers and on line sites. I was looking for a Chevrolet SUV and found the average one that had the things I wanted. Basically - Mileage & Price. Did I get the price I wanted. Yep. Did I get the car I wanted, yep. Did the car get good mileage, yep. But any dealer would be able to provide that. So why am I writing this. To let whom ever is looking for a Dealership. This one was just average. The show room was like all show rooms. Clean, newly remodeled, spacious, well lit. Like most GM dealerships in the 50 mile radius. Average. The sales folks again were like all sales folks. Needing to sell a car today. Average. Not overly pushy. Not hovering. When it came down to price they were willing to negotiate (a little). It came down to $500 below everyone else. So I fulfilled my bucket list. I just, like yesterday, bought the car. THIS is the reason that I am writing this. When the time comes and your going to purchase the car. The dealer is anxious to get their money so you need to be diligent. Look the car over. They said they would detail the car. But missed areas inside door openings, tailgate edges, and step wells. They were suppose to do the VIN # etching and someone dropped the ball. So don't rush. Look it over. Touch, smell and look. It is NOT yours until you sign on the solid line. And no dealer, so far, is perfect. Lastly, I can not comment on the service department. But in a few weeks I will need to get the vehicle serviced. I will amend this then! If that is even possible.

In January, I purchased a 2011 Enclave from O'Neills. The buying experience was exceptional. Last week, I brought my car back for service. There were a couple of recalls on it, and I had a problem with the steering. I dealt with Ray Pelletier. I can honestly say that I have never had better service from any other car dealership. Mr. Pelletier kept me updated on the status of my repair. When it became apparent that the repair would take longer than I originally expected, he arranged for me to get a rental car. I was extremely pleased with the service and highly recommend O'Neills.

A wonderful buying experience! Bought my last Chevy from another dealer who promptly closed due to Chevy cut backs. Went to O'Neills for the past six years for service. Always treated fairly by Ray in the Service Department. I had trouble with the car after the warranty had expired and O'Neills covered a major repair and gave me a loaner for two weeks. I was given the advantage of specials. My only regret was I didn't buy that car from O'Neills. It came time for a new one and we didn't think twice about buying this one from O' Neills. They gave us a very fair price with a loyalty discount. Emerson the salesperson was delightful, courteous and knowledgeable. I will never buy a car from anyone else.

I have bought 2 new Buick Regals (2002 & 2012) at ONeills and have been very satisfied each time. I actually started going there when the dealership I bought a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville lost their contract and I had some GM work to get done. ONeills took care of the car so well I've been going back ever since. The service department has been great except for one little hiccough, which they resolved to my complete satisfaction in short time without any hassle.

I got a great deal on a great used car - 2011 Infiniti G37xS. I had a few issues with my service, and information that was provided to me throughout the buying process. And next time, I will make sure I get specific, concrete answers on any/all inquiries. But in the end, the dealer & dealership made things right for me and I am very happy with my purchase... They even delivered the car to my office (after stopping at the RMV for me). As a whole, this is an exceptional family owned/operated dealership and I would recommend them.

Went in to test drive a Chevy Volt not buy one, I had a perfectly running Prius, 14500 miles and it ran great. Well after a short conversation and letting them know what I wanted for my car and what I expected to pay for a new Volt I left with the Volt, no pressure , none of that are willing to buy it right now crap. If you want to speak with a great salesman grab David when you walk in the door, I know he'll go out of his way to put you in a new car at a great price. PS First tank of gas in the Volt was 223 MPG.

The treatment I received from all of the people I came in contact with was very positive! One of the biggest things that I look at when I go to a dealership is not to be pushed or pressured into anything. This dealership was way above my expectations! I know that the sales associates are here to offer you all they can offer but never was I pushed into anything! The gentlemen were kind and courteous and truly wanted me to walk out there happy. I will be recommending this dealership to anyone I know looking for a new car/SUV! They gave me an amazing trade in value for my old car and got me into an awesome car the same day! Highly recommend checking these guys out and I will definitely be back in a couple years when I will be looking to trade in my SUV!!!

I felt like I needed to write a review here since my first view of the website was a service visit by another customer that had apparently been a bad experience, and it was the only one posted. My wife and I had the misfortune of breaking down recently in West Hartford while visiting our children in Granby (we were actually headed to Hartford at the time). The car (a 2008 Buick Enclave) had just made the trip from Michigan, and decided on that Wednesday to let go of its water pump. We had AAA tow us to O'Neill's as the closest Buick dealer, and crossed our fingers it would be a good experience. . . which it turned out to be. Recognizing that we were obviously NOT regular customers, and arriving at 3:00PM on a Wednesday, we were quite pleased to have the car repaired and back to us by noon the next day, so that we could be on our way to Vermont. They not only serviced the car in fine fashion, but also helped arrange for a rental car at what I would consider a VERY reasonable price. The service tech was very professional, and other than a few anxious moments waiting to hear the diagnosis, the experience could not have been better. And, even though I had all kinds of good intentions to write a note of thanks at the time (but got sidetracked), I received a follow-up call today checking in on us, and making sure that everything worked out okay. If I didn't live 650 miles away, they would surely become my first choice for work on my vehicle. . .

I would not recommend bringing your vehicle for service at O'Neill Chevy in Avon. I noticed that I was charged for 5 quarts of oil when I got my oil changed. I brought this up to the service advisor because in the owners manual it states that my Impala only takes 4 quarts. The advisor stated that they always put 5 quarts of oil when they change the oil in an impala. I asked the advisor to show me the oil level on the dipstick so I could make sure it was ok. We checked the dip stick level and it was too high. The advisor stated that this was normal for my car. When I responded that it was not he stated, "Why don't you become a technician then?". I have never been treated with such disrespect before. I immediately asked for my car. The technician made a mistake putting too much oil into my car. This can be bad for the internal parts of the engine. I was lucky that I caught this mistake before it caused any serious damage to my vehicle. This informality could have been handled in a professional manner by the service advisor. Mistakes do happen but when they do I expect as a paying customer for them to be corrected.

I had a great experience at O'Neill's. When buying a car, I always test the local market for a good deal before reaching out on the internet for a better price. I bought my wife's Kia Sorento locally this past summer. Last week, my local chevy dealership (Danbury, CT) wouldn't give me the time of day when I showed up interested in a Volt. So, I had worked a long distance deal (Stingray Chevy, Fl.),at a great price. I then googled more dealerships in CT and MA. After a bit of cordial back-forth, O'Neill's came close enough to Stingray to warrant buying only 50 miles away. Everyone was extremely friendly and honest. I really liked working with Jim, who was extremely responsive via email, and phone. The sales manager, (Eric?), was also quick to answer questions. the last step before driving of is the finance dept., and Tony was terrific. I highly recommend this dealership, for either shopping locally, or going for a long distance buy.

Cheryl was helpful in finding us a gently used Buick Enclave SUV and provided very responsive customer service throughout the sales process. We had done quite a bit of research on the car and felt we got a fair price and a fair tradein on our Chevy Suburban. We bought a used Buick Enclave and were treated very well by both salesperson Jim Porter and the Sales Manager Jim Wood. From our first visit on they were very respectful and there were no hard sales tactics. They made us want to buy a car from them instead of another dealership. We had a problem shortly after buying the car and they went above and beyond to fix the situation to our satisfaction.

This was, by far, the best car buying experience I have ever had. Cheryl and everyone I dealt with were friendly, low pressure and extremely competent. I was amazed by the efficiency of the dealership and how simple they made the paperwork. More importantly, the car (a 2008 Jeep) is in pristine condition and is simply a joy to drive. Other dealerships could learn quite a bit from this group.

Cheryl bates contacted us by e mail during our car shopping phase. We told her what we were interested in and she came back with some options that fit our needs. Overall experience was very smooth overall. The only issues: 1) they told me they would put a dealer plate on the new car but they forgot to. 2) paperwork was supposed to be fedexed the next day, instead took 4 days.

The new truck had buff swirls on it, Cheryl addressed it immediately. We picked up the truck and it was beautiful. The detail guy did an excellent job. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend this dealership.

My husband and I are new to Sullivan's O'Neill's Chevrolet Buick. Within just a couple minutes of entering the showroom we were greeted by Shawn Sullivan, asked a couple of questions and referred to Jim Porter to answer our questions and review inventory with us. I couldn't decide between a couple of vehicles. Jim was patient, provided the necessary information and followed through with our discussions. Our transaction was handled quickly and efficiently but at no time did we feel rushed. At pickup Jim reviewed the Traverse with us from front to back to make sure we didn't have any questions. We required a service appointment which Jim set up for us and followed up to make sure everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. We are very happy with our new purchase and plan to call on Jim again when our other business vehicles require replacement.

This was one of the best car-buying experiences I have had largely due to the fact that the salesperson was knowledgeable, sincere and low-key in her approach. She impressed us by simply being herself. There was no trying to impress us; she let the product (a 2012 Chevy Malibu) speak for itself but was easily able to answer any questions we had about it and about other comparable vehicles. She also listened to what we actually said and what we only implied about what we were seeking in a new car. She then explored all the possible options in order to make sure that we got the car that was best for us. Finally, we also very much appreciated the straightforward manner in which the pricing was presented by the sales manager. We felt that it was clear what the actual cost of the car would be and what we would be given in trade. It was after that was all clear that any incentives/discounts were applied. The sales process was carried out in a timely manner. When we picked up the new car, all relevant employees were prepared for us and the details were handled very efficiently.

Purchase a vehicle from O'Neill's and had the vehicle for only a week and a half, when I called to the Service Department to express things that needed attention. I was referred to Mr. Bryan Collin, who instead of taking my claims as legitimate, began to fight and argue with me over the phone, basically telling me this could not be. I was perplexed by his attitude.Items wrong with the vehicle:1. Creaking Noise coming from the Right Front 2. When raining, stream of water cascading across the view of the mirror3. When Lowering the Windows - Driver's Side especially, will not clear debris on the Window4. Windshield Glass Defective - When Sun hit glass certain way, could see a billion Defects in the glass that obscured the view of the road5. Bracket under hood that was not painted and rusting. ONeill had prepped the Vehicle before delivering it to me and missed this6. The Mirror Driver's Side had an insulator that was out of place from factory causing issue7. The molding around Driver's Side Door not fitted properly causing issue8. Rubbing noise coming from Driver's Side Door while driving down the road9. Rear Cover Plates LeakI took the vehicle to another GM Dealer who as with the attitude of O'Neill was equal to the repairs performed. Every time they did work, I would have to bring the vehicle back for them to either put parts of the vehicle back where they belonged or have them do the job over again.GM will not re-purchase the vehicle insisting that they can fix everything wrong with the vehicle.I got rid of a vehicle because I was having problems that were caused by a repair. Now I am beginning with this vehicle where I left off with the old vehicle.I am being told by Mr. Sullivan of ONeills that he has refused service to my vehicle because he doesn't think he can please me. I sent a letter to the CT Motor Vehicle Department last week to make complaint about ONeills and told Mr. Sullivan that this was what I was going to do because he has refused to send me a copy of the Work Order of the work they did perform. Yesterday, I got a call form Kevin Fitzpatrick, from the CT DMV that told me he had received my letter, but had gotten a call from Mr. O'Neill - stating that he did not normally take complaints out of order, but he took enough time to tell me if my vehicle was new he could not assist me with O'Neill.The curious thing, Mr. Sullivan had enough time to call CT DMV, but he has not the where for all to send me my requested information.Mind you this is a Brand New $55,000.00 2011 Avalanche. If I am to be believed, to have these many things wrong with a brand new vehicle I shouldn't be looking at repairs, they should be providing me with another vehicle. But they won't - GM won't. They have their GM Rep involved and I am talking with my attorney.

These guys were friendly & honest about everything from the first phone conversation all the way to the car pickup. Car was priced fair and they still dropped $500 for me. At the day of pick up they had the car ready with a full tank of gas, all the paper work was done, i just had to sign in a couple places and drive away. I have been driving the car for a couple weeks now and everything seems to be working fine. Judging by this experience Ill be sure to check what they have in stock the next time Im buying a car.

The car was represented over the phone and online exactly as it was, which was definitely important to us since we drove 2.5 hours from NJ to purchase the car. Scott has been great to work with during the process of choosing and purchasing a new car. He notified me when the new models were available for a test drive and did not use high pressure tactics to sell the car. In addition, he searched dilligently to find the exact car I wanted and brought it in from out of state rather than trying to convince me to settle for something easier for him to get. The price was fair and the deal easy to close. I feel valued as a customer and am very happy with my new car. I would highly recommend Scott and O'Neills as a quality dealership.

I would highly recommend buying a car from O'Neills Chevy Buick. I recently purchased a used vehicle from them and enjoyed the entire experience. The car was priced very competitively and they gave me a good price for my trade in. After I agreed to purhcase the car, they put new tires on it for me at no charge as well as thouroughly detailed it. I really appreciated them going the extra mile and making sure that my car was as close to perfect as they could get it. No pushy sales and no surprises at all. I will be back to get my next car there.

A few days ago I stopped by to inquire about an 07' infiniti that they had listed on cars.com. I went in with the usual dealership feeling in my stomach and was not looking forward to the experience. However, Rich the sales guy was amazing. Low pressure, he didn't rush me, and he answered all my questions honestly. It was the best car buying experience of my life. Not to mention I was out of there in 30 minutes a few days later when I made the final purchase. Thanks guys for making my visit stress free!

I got a very nice Chevy Equinox for a great price. Many years ago I had trouble with a Chevrolet Suburban I had (which I bought somewhere else). I stop there and I asked if they could help me. My husband FLEW from Va to CT excited for an amazing deal on a car for our family. He has researched for months and was TOTALLY misled and lied to on the condition of this vehicle. DO NOT waste money on going to see it, if you are not in the immediate area!!! We are now out $500+ on plane tickets and gas, plus a weekend wasted without our daddy/husband. Car door panels were discolored from the "Pearl White" color to YELLOW, all rims have rust, pox marks, scratches (he was told 2 of the 4 rims had "marks"), and the interior STUNK. Salesman stated the door panel must have been replaced from a wreck...a wreck that was NOT on the Carfax...the salesman NEVER disclosed any of this after several questions regarding condition--even said the mechanic that was inspecting it said cars like this "don't come along". Sad sad world we live in that would make a man go miles away from his family for a disappointment such as this. They also agreed to come down off the price $500 after his reaction to this POS...the same number they said they couldn't come down to over the phone. My husband had the cashiers check and all ready. I am still waiting for my husband to arrive home empty-handed 12 hours later... Wow.
