Took my car in to replace the alternator and fix a brake issue. I get the car back only to discover that it now has now brakes and almost drove me into oncoming traffic with no ability to safely stop. I immediately circled back to the dealership where I was assured the tech had driven the car and it was good to go. They looked and discovered that suddenly the master cylinder had mysteriously failed. Palmers volunteered to replace the master cylinder at their cost before I even said a word about who is going to pay for it. While that was a nice gesture, they still put me in a car that could have killed someone, a car that they claimed to have driven and didn't notice the brakes were gone (a tech drove around the building to bring the car out and didn't notice the pedal went to the floor). So after a few weeks of waiting on parts, the car is finally ready and I go pick it up. I get a couple miles down the road and I can feel the brakes getting soft and bleeding out. The pedal gets softer and has to be pumped to stiffen up. I pull into a parking lot and see a small puff of smoke from under the hood. Turns out they had left some rags under the master cylinder that had shifted and touched the heat wrap on my exhaust manifold. So now we go back to the dealership to find that the brake lines are leaking as well. This is the second time that I was assured a senior tech drove my car and performed the work. They also stripped one of the brake line fittings in the process that they replaced, again at their cost. Overall they handled the issues well but it doesn't discount the fact that I was provided a vehicle that was unsafe twice. Serious negligence issues there.

I am not very happy on how I have been treated. The agreed to Sales priced increased not once but twice during the signing process. Then to have a car sold, poorly cleaned and with a dent. No follow up calls when promised. Now the car is back at you service area and should be ready for pick up today, but I am not holding my breath since your dealership has not done anything that it said it will do. Oh, thanks for the loaner car. But I am not using this vehicle either since it smells like cigarette smoke.

My fiance and I went into Hyundai not coming out to buy a car but just to look because we had been thinking about buying one. When I saw the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, I instantly starting looking at the exterior and its sunburnt color. One of the representatives came outside and saw I was so intrigued by the SUV so he asked me if I wanted to look into the inside, of course I said yes. I went to Palmer's with my mother expecting to look at a few used vehicles to replace her vehicle after a wreck. Neil, a salesman, met us while we were outside. He showed us a few used vehicles, then showed us pricing on used vs new vehicles. We had no intention of buying a car that day, but the price on a new Hyundai Accent was right. It was a no pressure environment and everyone made you feel comfortable. Neil and Mark were great, and everyone else we met were very friendly. I can highly recommend Palmer's for how well they treated my mother as she bought her new vehicle. I will be returning to Palmer's and the same staff the next time I need a vehicle.

I had scheduled my appointment over a month prior to the date of appointment and had asked for a rental car as well. Received confirmation of work to be completed including a car to be used. Upon arrival, I was notified that they did not have anything but a shuttle bus to take me to where I needed to go. Them, not realizing what all I had scheduled to do today, were unaware of the places I had to be not icluding having to work which was an hour away for their place. Very disappointed with their processing of appointments and the guarantee they make. Even though this was only for a recall four to be exact on my car and them not making any money off of me, this was wrong and unexcusable. I will not be returning to them.

Have bought 3 vehicles from Palmer's, 2 Toyota's and a 2011 Sonata. Over the years I have paid sizeable bills for maintenance and repairs and had some disappointing quality issues; moreover, this last event has motivated me to bring this "buyer beware" to your attention. I drive heavy highway mileage due to my sales job and because of that, I bought the service contract and have always performed preventative maintenance. A week ago the car simply died while in traffic and wouldn't restart. I had the Sonata towed to Palmer's and after a few days, I was informed by the service advisor that the starter and battery needed to be replaced. I authorized the repair, however, a day later I was informed that the motor seized and it would need to be replaced, at a cost upwards of $5000. Not only was there no attempt, by Palmer's or Hyundai, to help me with this defect, they charged me the parts they replaced ($730). Low oil level my eye, just had it done recently at express oil and no engine service light ever illuminated. Buyer's, You've been warned!

I recently stopped by palmer's Hyundai with a low tire. I have a 2014 Maxima that I did not buy from this dealership so I didn't know what to expect. The staff in the service department were very friendly and welcoming. They filled the tire back up with nitrogen and topped off the other 3. I have sent e-mail again to Mr. Jeremy Talley at 12693atpalmersairporthyundai.responselogix.com.In the past 12 years I have bought 2 new vehicles over the internet and they both were brought to me to be seen and my vehicle apprised on the spot at my home before signing any paperwork. One of those Dealership's was Terry Thompson of Daphane, Al. I live in upper in upper Mobile County. It is a good distance from Terry Thompson in Baldwin County to where I live. They brought me out 3 different vehicles before I found the one I WANTED!!I honestly believe The Palmer's need to look at their G.M. and sales Representatives at Palmer's Airport Hyundai and their sales Representatives at Palmer's Airport Toyota.Now before you go running to The Eastern Shore Hyundai, I need to let you know, even though their prices seem to be better over there, I was trying to purchase a vehicle from them and I was lied to by a sales woman who is no longer there, for over a week. She was let go for never showing up for work. I contacted the Internet sales manager and explained it all to him and that is when he told me she had been let go. He said he would check into what happened and get back to me. He said he couldn't find out what happened but he offered me another vehicle, but it was priced higher than what I had worked out with the lady that was let go, But in saying that, it was also a year newer too.In closing, all I can say is, " Mr. Palmer, Look into your Sales Representatives " This is an as honest opinion. I went to many area car lots and was not happy with any salesperson that I talked with til I meet Mr cannon.He was very good at what was on the lot and did not lie or try to talk you into anything .The overall visit to this Hyundai store was very good.I got a fair deal on my new car.

Palmer's Airport Hyundai is a poor excuse for representing the Hyundai experience. To say that this was the worst car buying experience Ive ever had would be an understatement. Palmers Airport Hyundai in Mobile Alabama fraudulently misrepresented their inventory today. I communicated my interest in purchasing a vehicle listed in their inventory and was assured this vehicle was still available. I also mentioned I would be driving in from Destin FL which is approx 2.5 hours away. I asked to be notified if the vehicle was sold. I called Jeremy Talley of Palmer's Airport Hyundai a total of 6 times leaving 4 messages. Two of these calls were made on the way to the dealership. Needless to say and to our disappointment the vehicle had been sold to another dealership. Disappointment turned into disgust as we were given one excuse after another as to why this occurred. Sammy White (General Sales Manager) chose not to get involved even though he was positioned only 15 feet away out in the open. I actually had to ask to speak with him. What in the world is Hyundai doing with managers such as these? I am a manager and would not hesitate to take control of a delicate situation such as this. Truly sad to see. Once approached Mr. White offered to pay my gas mileage but seemed unconcerned about my 6 hours spent on the road. It was obvious he wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible. He also proceeded to tell my wife who was seated, to hold the hostility. Picture this, my wife is 52 100 pounds, the only one seated among three men, just spent almost 3 hours getting there only to be notified that she missed her sons 14th birthday because the dealership fraudulently neglected to make a phone call. If this is what the Hyundai name is selling we will take a pass. The entire experience went from bad to worse in a few short minutes. Im 46 years old and have never been through anything like this before. I should have known something was not right when entering the dealership as the receptionist was playing computer games. This dealerships vehicles are very much over priced and their sales people are not very knowledgable. I had to drive all the way to Montgomery AL to get a good deal. It was well worth the drive to save well over $5000. Also after purchasing the vehicle from an out of town dealership their service prices were almost 75% higher than Eastern Shore.

purchased an 2008, Nordic White, Hyundai Accent from Palmer's Airport Hyundai as a gift for me back in late August early September 2008. I was in an accident in November 2008 where the seat belt snapped out of the safety position, the front end was shoved into the rear cradle suspension, all because the car failed to brake going 10 miles per hour and instead of hitting on coming traffic I swerved still hitting the brakes that did not work into an small median out in front of my place of business. My arm was shoved through the windshield as the air bag deployed late, and was sliced by the seat belt across my chest. I had the car repaired, and because it was new they would not total the car. After several thousand miles of travel to and from Florida on business, I began having transmission problems, the dealership replaced the transmission, and then the alternator went out and was replaced again. Following that 2008-2009 winter, the transmission went out again in the summer, I had the car taken into a different dealership (EASTERN SHORE HYUNDAI) in which the car was not purchased the first time for the the first transmission. Starting in 2008 problems began with the dealership (Palmer's Airport Hyundai). I am writing this because not only did I have an issue with your 'Road side assistance' that I have addressed in a previous E-mail, I have had several issues with the car and the dealership in which the car was purchased from. In 2009 when my transmission and alternator was replaced by the dealership, I lost my job because the dealership would not grant me a rental vehicle. In 2009 I also had issues with the radiator that was not damaged in the above stated crash and the dealership was to replace it. Instead the dealership replaced the hoses on the radiator as it was leaking profusely on to the ground. Again in 2010 following another problem with the car 'the ignition and belt' I had another transmission failure and was replaced for a third time. This time it was taken to Palmer's for the second time for a transmission from this dealership. When I received the car, my gas had been ran out, there was a food receipt that did not belong to me or anyone that I knew, and the AC unit had been re-wired to that when you turned it on hot was cold and cold was hot. Thinking that perhaps the car had no anti-freeze I placed some in the car, low and behold, it was not the anti-freeze, it was the doings of the mechanics at the shop at Palmer's Airport Hyundai. Following the crisscrossed AC unit and transmission issue being taken up with Palmer's Airport Hyundai, I began having brake troubles, even with new brakes where when I went over bumps my car would not stop I had to STAND in my drivers seat and put full weight on the breaks to make the car stop. I took the car into Palmer's and they reported back to me that nothing was wrong with the car. Again the gas in my car was on FULL when it was taken in and when returned to me the GAS was below 3/4 of a tank. Fine, I took the car to FIRESTONE and had brakes and tires replaced and still the car was not grasping the full effect of 'STOP'. At this point I noticed that I did not any longer need to push the release button on my Emergency break that it just all of the sudden comes up. I let it go seeing as how Palmer's kept informing me nothing was wrong with the car. Also in 2010 there was an cylinder miss fire and the car was not firing on all cylinders only three, and a gasket had busted off in the vehicle that took Palmer's nearly 4 weeks to repair, when they informed me it would take a week and they would be able to fix it within the week and release the car to me. Low and behold I waited nearly 4 weeks for my car to be returned to me. Between that time my mother and I both called for check-ups on the car, and nobody could give us a straight answer. 2011 - My step Father signed the car over to me in November and the car was taken back into Palmer's due to a leak and the hoses where repaired and the car was returned to me fine no problems. Following this last visit to Palmer's Airport Hyundai where the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT was on and there was a fluid leak in the vehicle coming from SOMEWHERE that I nor 2 other family members could find out where, TODAY the car was returned to me again with an 'There is no problems with the car.' That was a total Lie. When I started the car in the parking lot of Palmer's Airport Hyundai it began to rattle like a tin can full of marbles. I know this is not normal for my car at all!!!! I started my car down the road heading towards home, and I kept hearing this high pitched noise and it sounded like my car had an JET ENGINE placed inside of the driving compartment. This is not and NEVER was normal for my vehicle. Instead of Palmer's FIXING my vehicle they have once again messed it up. The car was never ran which they stated they did, the gas tank was still on full just as I had left it. I was expecting like normal for the gas in my car to be GONE when I take it into Palmer's. The car now sits in my driveway as we try to think of an alternative to the broken vehicle and I refuse to take it back into Palmer's Airport Hyundai. I am very unsatisfied with the vehicle and I am very unsatisfied by the work that this DEALERSHIP has done. I have never in all my life ever seen so much failure in supposed 'certified technician's ' While the service providers are friendly, they continue to mess up my car. I would seriously like some compensation for this or some sort of alternative from you the company of Hyundai. Im really fed up. Im irritated with the car, I am irritated with the company that SOLD the car too me, and I am irritated with the problems I am having and the 118.00$ they want to charge me for junk they will just mess up again.Too bad Eastern SHORE does it better!

I had my sons car towed in for service it would not start. The service department ad visor called to inform me of the condition found by the technician, the engine was out of time by 3 degrees and would need to be adjusted to get the car to start. I am a technician, and shop owner in Texas and my son is in collage in Mobile so it was my decision to take the car to the local Hyundai dealer for a diagnosis. The 3 degree timing variance would not stop the engine from starting,so I ask the service adviser to explain to me what they were going to do to get the car to to start? I was then then told they would need to time the car and that would be an 1 hr job. Now at this point ,I being a mechanic had more questions that the adviser was not qualified to answer so I was past off to the shop foreman who put me in touch with the technician who could not tell me why the car wont start at 3 degrees off time . This is when I ask to speak with the Service Manager Jeromy that informed me the timing belt jumped 3 teeth off, now that made some sense as to why the this car wont start.We decided to time the car and see if would start,then we would make a decision on replacing the timing belt . I get a call later that day from Jeromy to inform me now that the car is in time but wont start and that we have a blown head gasket . 3 hrs in and the they cant tell me why it wont start. At this point I ask if the the tech had cleaned or replaced the spark plugs they would be fouled by fuel at this point due to the timing being off and trying to start the car.... Jeromy then told me he would check and call me back , the call comes later and the car starts and runs . If I would not have been a trained tech this would have gone bad, no one from the service department new what they were doing, I fixed the car by Telling them what to do they charged me 270.00 dollars for that, sent the car out with no coolant and my son had to stop a half mile from the dealer to put coolant in the radiator , as for the timing belt and blown head gasket I question that as well.when I ask the Service manager why he had a unqualified service adviser contacting the customers he told me " she is a idiot" , and when I ask the cashier when paying the bill if I was the only one who was unhappy she answerd " o no sir" . I did call and talk to the General manager as one business owner to another to tell him how unhappy my experience was, he told me he was sorry about that and if we could be of service in the future to call on them. I guess the incompetence starts at the top and works its way to the bottom. Dealers like this give all mechanics a bad name.......
