Spent an afternoon searching for our next F150. We found it at Palmetto Ford. At the moment we pulled into the lot we were greeted by salesmen Vince Hicks. He knew exactly what we were looking for and walked us to the truck we wanted. After four previous dealership trips that day where each tried to sell something other than what we asked for just to make that sale. Vince made us feel comfortable and at ease, no heavy sales pitch. He was very professional and had a tremendous amount of knowledge related to the truck. He explained in detail all the bells and whistles. He offered a more than fair trade for my old truck that had seen better days. He also had a great sense of humor that added a nice quality to his personal and professional demeanor. I would encourage anyone interested in getting a fair deal without the high sales pressure to ask for Vince Hicks. Bill Hunt was a pleasure to work with. His professionalism and patience with my wife Marlene and I as we were looking and selecting a vehicle are a testament to his character. He took his time, showed us different vehicles and options, and didn’t get upset when we told him we wanted to look at something else. Bradford did a very good job with LISTENING to my big picture & small picture needs. Never was I pressured. He incorporated the concept of camping trips (our family camps) into my test drive, and listened to my request to be emailed not called after the test drive, like I said he LISTENED. How many car salespeople can be praised for their listening, well Bradford can, and that was a comfort element for me in the process. Bradford is a tall man, I am a very petite female (4 ft 11) and he created a level field throughout the process, a sense of equality. He will do well in his career and I would recommend him to any family, female or individual, he is smart and flexible. Mike in the finance department was also a pleasure to work with. He was professional, approachable and clearly believes in Ford Motor Corporation.

So I went to 3 different dealers before coming here. I had called and spoke with Mike to ensure they had the vehicle I wanted. When I arrived, Mike greeted me and told me he would get a dealer out to speak to me. My friend and I had stated that we didn't want to talk to a dealer and Mike was happy to show us around. Before we left we spoke with Kelvin and he was the first dealer I ever felt comfortable with. When we came back Kelvin remembered us and wanted to help as much as he could. After much discussion, Kelvin helped me get into my new 2016 Ford Focus and I love it. He went to his boss many times to talk the price down or help me get more for my trade. He did so much for me and I can see why he wins so many awards. I will be recommending this dealer, and Kelvin specifically, to everyone who tells me they're looking for a new car. Honestly the best and most honest dealer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. And Mike was an amazing person to work with as well. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I would just like to thank Ted Eshleman, Scott and Mike in once again making the whole process of purchasing a vehicle so straight forward and stress free , this is the 5th vehicle I have leased or purchased from Palmetto Ford and every time the team has really gone above and beyond to accommodate me. I received the exact color of vehicle that had arrived on the lot that day. My only reservation is not with Palmetto Ford but with the Ford website providing misleading information regarding the functionality of Ford Pass and Apple Car play on the 2016 Sync 3. The 2016 spec does not have integration described on the web site. However the Palmetto Ford team confirmed they would ensure I received the upgrade when it comes out later this year with the 2017 models. 0verall very satisfied with customer service of the team - thanks again guys !

We had a wonderful experience at Palmetto Ford. On our way there (about a 2 hour drive from HHI) we filled out an internet contact sheet. Within 5 minutes we received a call back from Mike B, who we chatted with briefly about what we were looking for. We were very impressed with his "smile through the phone" you could just feel the positive energy on the other line. When we arrived, the team was waiting out front eager to serve us and Kelvin didn't waste any of our time. He already had the Edge we were interested in pulled up front and shortly after arriving we were already taking it for a test drive. He was very personable, did an awesome job at explaining the features of the car, answering our questions, and just made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. We never felt pressured. I even remember him saying at one point, "once you by a car from us, you become apart of the family." They were cooking out that day (it was Labor Day) and even fed us lunch. We spent about 3 hours total there, and left with the exact Edge (and price) we wanted. We have bought 3 SUVs/Trucks from Palmetto Ford and every time we have had a wonderful experience. Kelvin, Mike B & Mike K all did an awesome job and affirmed for us we will most definitely be back! We have been to a few other Ford dealerships in SC and no one else comes close - Palmetto Ford is by far the best Ford dealership around!

On February 13, 2015 My 2013 f150 completely died, I had no power to anything. I had it towed to palmetto Ford where they diagnosed the battery being dead. They replaced the battery free of charge. On August 2, 2016 my truck did the same thing. I had it towed to palmetto ford again the same day, they were quick to say the battery was the problem again and wanted to charge me 250+ for a replacement. keep in mind if they replaced the battery again that would of been 3 batteries in the matter of approximately 3 years which is telling me something else is definitely wrong. I refused to pay the $250+ for a new battery if they had just replaced it last year. I told them they need to gather more information as to why the battery goes out every year because the typical life span for a car/truck battery is ~4 years. Tom agreed and had the techs look further into it. He called back the next day saying the battery was not the problem and they had found the computer system needed to be updated. He now wanted to charge me $160+ for just re-flashing the computer system to help the truck to remember to hold the charge or whatever. I refused to pay the $160 due to the poor diagnostics the first and second go around coupled with my extended 75,000 mile warranty i have. The customer shouldn't have to tell the tech to look further into a problem if it keeps reoccurring they have computer files for a reason to find this into out... I should of trusted what everyone else says about palmetto ford. stay away from these guys they clearly don't care about customers, its all about the sales and profit here.

Upon visiting the dealership I met Brad King who was very helpful, and patient, in explaining available features which aided in my decision making. Me and my wife were looking for something specific and found exactly what we were looking for at this dealership. Given it was a used vehicle we still filled out the application and were promptly asked to come in by Dan to speak to Boston. Stating that Boston would be our salesman during our car buying experience. Me and my wife started the process on Friday July, 15th, that way the next day all he would need is for us to send our documents. We sent our documents on Saturday and I went by after I got off work. He let me test drive the vehicle and it drove great. I went ahead and put some money down since he said there was no problem about going to put the deal through. Since my wife was at work at the time, I put her on speakerphone so that she would be aware that we would have to come back Monday after our daughters surgery and we would be in and out. Well the first deal they came back with was not acceptable for our budget. So he told us to go home so that he could work out a better deal and he would contact us back, even offered to let us take the car home. The next morning it seems like all hands were on deck and that they were going to make the deal work with our demands. Gary made sure he called me first thing walking in the door. I told him I love Ford service even when purchasing a GM vehicle. The only truck that I will get will always be a Ford, the only brand with 10 versions of the truck in 400 different ways you can get it. So the chance we get to buy a GM vehicle from a Ford dealership vs a GM dealership, my family will always buy it from the Ford dealership. When it comes down to the businesses I use, I base it off the reputation of the product. Our family truck we have is a 2004 Black XLT Triton has over 300K in miles on it and still runs strong. Went to a ford dealership 2hrs away just to get my wife the GMC terrain she wanted. when they had the exact same truck here at a GMC dealership with less miles at a cheaper cost. We agreed we're a Ford family, so we made it a point to only buy our vehicles from a ford dealership. When we came into the dealership this last time, we were in and out with an hr. I was literally able to do all the finance with Mike and be in and out within an hr. Truly a great experience. Once again I'm reassured that Ford service is second to none.

Test drove a few cars, but had my eye on one particular one. Staff went over the cars I seemed interested in and did not pressure me to go for anything else. Seemed confident I could get financed even though I was not so I went with their lead, something I don't do often when it comes to dealing with large purchases. I was not disappointed in the end. I dealt with Kareem Graves and he didn't push me into anything and went with what he saw in my eyes when I test drove the car I really wanted. He is not on the employee list to chose from in this review, but he was excellent.

I came in to test drive a Ford diesel, and of all the dealerships I visited last week, the only dealership that didn't treat me as though I was too poor to buy a vehicle was Palmetto Ford. I worked with Tom, and he was excellent! He was very knowledgable and answered all my questions honestly. I highly recommend going to Palmetto Ford and asking for Tom! I talked with Mel at Ford on Rivers Ave and was treated horribly. I was outright ignored! I talked with Brandon of Hollywood wholesale and was promised a return call which I never received. I also visited Hendrick Jeep, and while the associate I worked with was nice, their selection wasn't there for me. All in all, I couldn't speak higher of Palmetto Ford and their employees! Cheers!

I bought a Ford Ranger here and they were really easy to work with. Kelvin really went above and beyond to get me into the truck I wanted, even coming in on his day off because it was most convenient for me. I ended up over paying for the truck because they shorted me the value on my trade--their words were that "the bottom line is going to be the same no matter what", which was frustrating. But I know that sales negotiations are always in the favor of the dealer. I liked Kelvin, and concluded that I though he deserves the larger commission from a less than optimal deal on my part.In the end, I still left a happy customer, I love the truck. Only thing I didn't like was when the gentleman handling the financing kept trying to sell me GAP coverage although I knew it would be covered by my insurance company, stating that "$10 or $20 a month isn't going to change your lifestyle". I found that to be condescending and quite dismissive. But that was the only off-color thing I can remember from the entire 2 hours I spent in the dealership. Bottom line is: you don't have to buy all the extras that the dealership dangles in front of you at the end of the deal. The $280 for a "security window etching" is rubbish too. You can't opt out of that fee because it is already included in the dealer fee. I guarantee that a unique number etched into my auto glass is not going to make my car any more or less secure from theft, nor any more likely to be recovered if it is stolen. I really wish I could get my money back for that.

I had no idea I'd end up buying a car when I walked into Palmetto Ford on Saturday, February 13, 2016; but that's exactly what happened! John Miller was an exellent salesman who won me over right away. He was personable, friendly, and knowledgable about my (future) car and made me feel comfortable at the dealership. I fell in love with the MKX I drove and got the deal I felt comfortable with. I even got a great deal for my Town Car that I traded in. The whole staff was friendly and knowledgeable about my Lincoln. The finance department gave me great service and a smooth experience with the purchase. After purchasing it, Nicole Hagan, Customer Service Specialist, synced mine and my husband's Iphones to the entertainment system. She showed me how to use everything right down to my massaging seats! I recently had to put down my 16 year old vehicle and found myself in the hunt for a new one. I came to Palmetto originally looking at a vehicle on the "as is" line of cars, but not finding it to my liking soon found myself walking along with Bradford King looking at some other used offerings they had. We looked at a few cars, and Bradford worked hard to point out vehicles that fit what I was looking for. He was laid back and friendly, never pushy, and listened to what I was telling him. I eventually bought a vehicle, and we worked together to find an agreeable price with no aggressive tactics from Bradford or the dealership. He went out of his way to make sure that everything was done to the vehicle that needed to be done per the sales agreement. (the vehicle didn't have a hitch, and I needed one) Even meeting me on his day off to make sure it got to the installer. Overall Bradford is a good dude, I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone to him or Palmetto Ford to purchase a vehicle.Thanks guys for making a stressful process simple.. My husband and I are not usually "Ford people". But we fell in love with the 2015 50 yr edition Ford Mustang. So far the best vehicle I have owned. From the time we got to Palmetto Ford everyone was really helpful. We went here because we felt like we were getting the runaround from another Dealership in Mount Pleasant. We were upfront about everything when we got there. And we got the same from them. Dontrell was amazing. We told him where we needed our payments to be and he made sure to pass that info along. And they did it. After 4 days of back and forth with the other Dealership it was great to work with you all. Within 2 hours of getting to Palmetto ford, I was driving home in my brand new Mustang !!! Having been told to drive 210 miles to trade for another Nissan Rogue about 2 weeks ago, Tom Slawson said I needn't have been told to drive all that distance , that he could have handled my trade. He seemed so sincere! After several hours, Tom promised me he's call the next day. He didn't! Then Lane called and said he'd handle things and would also call the next day,. He didn't! I have never been treated this way. Both men promised they would help me, and neither bothered. Customer satisfaction? They can't even spell it!!! I am disgusted with Palmetto Ford!!!P. S. I can't remember the person I first spoke to who urged me to drive the 420 miles (both ways) to and from Greenville. Please inform Manly Eubank that he has sub-standard, lying employees.Carolyn C. Back in early Summer, I stopped in Palmetto Ford ( Mamas Used Auto), to look at a truck out front. Tim Sundstom came out to meet me. We went to the dealership after using the internet to see what was available. We were greeted and immediately made to feel comfortable. The sales person asked a few questions about what we were looking for and what our preferences were and then suggested a vehicle that matched those interests. Our sales person, Tom Slawson, was very knowledgeable, pleasant and exceptionally easy to deal with. He answered all our questions and accompanied us on a test drive that enabled us to really get the feel for the vehicle. Wow, i misjudged this place hardcore. I had an issue with my Mustang that I thought was the dealership's fault. I tried making the issue known but no one was sure how to fix the issue. I was contacting the wrong department. I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously but once I got the correct person on the phone, it was like the whole dealership stopped and tried to assist me. When dealing with sales, I was siting in the showroom for maybe 1 minute when the sales manager himself came over to introduce himself and explain the ins and out's of my car and the concerns I had with it. I then told him I am interested in an F150. A sales representative named Kelvin came by and asked how he could help. Very laid back, informative, but no pressure. He took the time to ride my wife and me through the WHOLE F150 inventory, even the ones not on the lot yet. Not on a golf cart, but in a loaded Explorer. He heard he mention my back to my wife and I'm assuming he took the time to go so far as to get a truck with MASSAGING seats. Didn't find exactly what I was looking for (very picky person), so we went inside and Kelvin and the sales manager looked for probably 30 minutes at different trucks that fit what I was looking for. They found it quick too. Quite a few of them. I picked two out, and told them Id make a decision the next day. The owner himself, Mr. Graham Eubank, was also in contact with me the whole process. That was pretty impressive. I contacted them, told them which truck I wanted, and they drew up numbers in the span of an hour or so (this was all through email, i wasn't waiting an hour) I agreed with them, said ok, and they even offered to drive it halfway to my home to make the trip easier for me (almost 3 hours). I declined, they had done enough at this point. Many dealers may have written me off, BS'ed me, or tried to up sell me on things i didn't want. None of that here. I am a satisfied customer, and recommend anyone in the market for a new vehicle to give them a visit. The dealership was clean and there were plenty of comfortable chairs to sit at while numbers are ran, instead of someones little cubicle and desk chairs. The dealership itself was clean and well organized, cars were sorted out just as well as the trucks. I can't speak for the service department or the used car area, but they seemed pretty clean and put together. I would recommend giving them a shot to earn your business If the owner himself is willing to get elbows deep in a single customer's concern, that's the kind of place I'd like to have my back if I had problems in the future.

I bought a 2015 Mustang GT premium from this dealership. I drove 2 and a half hours to get it because I thought I was getting a really good vibe from the place. This was going to be the 2nd 2015 Mustang GT premium I had owned, i traded the first one in because I wanted the performance package. I know what a well put together Mustang is, and the first one i put 2800 miles on was a great example.I bought the car at night, as the dealer was closing because I had to go after work. Anyway, drove the car home and parked it in my garage. I drive it every week on Friday. I have owned it since Late March. I started noticing little issues, then more and more and more on the vehicle. More body panel alignment issues than I can describe in one post, the dashboard bubbling up where the leather rests, the loose seat covers that already have creases in them. Tons of problems that should have been found by the inspector upon delivery. The stitching on the dash was coming loose and frayed, same on the seats. I contacted Ford corporate and the local dealership. I have given the car to the body shop to attempt repair. They are unable to fix the issues. I have been told my whole dashboard needs replaced. My passenger seat cover needs replaced. The front bumper, the doors, the rear trunklid, and many other things are completely out of whack. I made the mistake of assuming the 2nd Mustang would be as well made as my first. I called the General Manager, spoke to him about the issues (first noticed all these issues at 700 miles, two roadtrips) he said there is nothing he will do except take it on trade and put me in a new Mustang. I was offered around 33000 for my Mustang I paid 40000 for. I dont understand why the dealership cant make this right. Corporate, and four other Ford dealerships have advised me to speak to the GM for a replacement, that he could fix it. He offered to provide the buyers order, which I already have. Basically told me I should have noticed the problems at delivery. My car has spent over 2 weeks in the shop already, and now I have a brand new car that needs torn apart to get half fixed. I may as well have bought a used car thatd been in a wreck. I dont want free stuff, free money, I simply want the dealership to stand up to their promise to make the customer happy, which they have failed to do. I dont want to do the BBB Auto Line, which is why ive called corporate so many times, called so many dealerships, and tried so many avenues to get this corrected. I want the same exact car, minus the problems. I'm really sad about this car. I really love Ford, always have, but this experience has completely soured my taste for them. I am now seriously looking at going Honda. Sad, I know, but I dont want these issues again. I am hoping i get contacted by Palmetto Ford to explore even maybe a VERY aggressive trade towards a vehicle at their lot, but that was shot down too. I wish they would make this right, but I guess their word is just that, words on a computer screen. I would recommend staying away.

This was was first experience using the Palmetto Ford Service Center after purchasing a car from them a year ago. Everyone was extremely friendly despite being very busy, including a mechanic who checked me in when it clearly wasn't his job there.Dustin was my Service Manager and went beyond what I would expect anyone to do. Not having a ride to pick my car back up and the shuttle driver gone for the day (about 530pm), Dustin drove all the way to Johns Island in traffic and heavy rain to pick me up. The poor guy must have already worked a 10 - 12 hour day but didn't hesitate to offer me a ride.Great way to start off and I'm feel confident about Palmetto handling all the service on my vehicle in the future.

I toke my Lincoln in for A/C not cooling properly THREE times 1st time freon leak 2nd condenser 3rd fan not turning fast enough. I returned to deal again because it still was not cooling properly. Service Manger told me I need a new car and it wasn't going to get any colder. He even brought out thermometer and pick in vents to make me believe it was cooling properly, sorry I didn't far for that old TRICK thermometers can be adjusted to read whatever you want it to, I guess I'm a xxxxxxx and didn't know that my car wasn't cooling properly. I took my vehicle to a new deal and found Palmetto was to lazy to find the real problem the evaporator because it's not easy to get. But the still charged for work that was never done. My next stop is Live 5 News and BBQ and National action network. And Lawyers this is so sad to the ripped off by a large dealership in 2015. I just got a call from Jim McMaster being very rude and trying to bully me into thinking I do something wrong,sorry that not going to happen today. He should have been calling to say sorry or is there anything I can help you with. But since my car been there three timeseparate for the same repair and you still saying it was fixed it's time for BBB and Corp to get involved. I guess the truth hurts worst CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I told him don't call me no more. Stay tuned to be continued.

On my first visit to the showroom, Brad King took me for a test drive in a new 2016 Explorer. On the second visit he sent me home for an overnight visit with a very nice model in the color scheme that I wanted. When I returned it and advised that it just had more options than I needed or wanted, he got busy and found one exactly like I wanted. We made a deal, he got it prepped and ready for delivery the next day. At pick up time Brandon Fleetwood took his time demonstrating all the new technology to me (my trade-in was a 10 year old Explorer) before sending me on my way. I was very pleased with their efforts to sell me what I wanted.

Overall I had a wonderful experience at Palmetto Ford. It's been 20 years since my last Ford and I'm happy to be back. My sales person was Jeff Eubank and I will be sure to look him up next time I need a vehicle. We finalized a price through a quick text exchange and had a deal in less than a few minutes. Lane Arnold also spent some time with me sharing his experience with his own Ford Fusion. Great looking styles now. And great on fuel. I hope my next vehicle will be a hybrid but it just wasn't in the cards this time. (I wanted a slightly used SUV on a budget). Only downside was the exit paperwork with Ron Austin. He really pushed for me to do financing with him, perhaps because he knew I had money to put down? But I had already decided to go directly to South Carolina Federal Credit Union and had opened an account earlier that day. Glad I did. When I politely refused Mr. Austin's pressure he went on to suggest that he could have done a better rate even though Palmetto uses SCFCU for financing. He suggested I should have gone to Bank of America for a better rate if I was going to finance the purchase myself. I was nice throughout but he was short, gruff and didn't shake my hand when we were done. He may have been having a bad day but it didn't make mine any better. I've had that same type of pressure at a Toyota dealer so that stage of the purchase must be industry standard which is too bad. With dealership monopolies the customer doesn't always win. But with that said, I would buy there again. Only next time ask to deal directly, and solely, with Jeff Eubank.

Tom was the best. That's really all I can say... The first words I spoke to him were "I'm not paying over $250.00 a month and this is my trade in". The other sales persons there were nice and respectable. They were great with my one year old daughter. One of them even read her a book. Well at the end of everything Tom got me and my wife in an 08 Ford Explorer XLT for $249.00 a month. Best car and best experience I've ever had. I'll never buy another vehicle anywhere else.

I've never ranted online before, but I hope I can save some unfortunate person from getting their vehicle serviced at Palmetto Ford Lincoln. In short, the general consensus of negativity on the reputation of this place have been validated. I realize that you should never seek service for your car at a dealership, but a need to get the job right persuaded my wife to take her car there. Without going into details of the THOUSANDS of dollars spent that still leave a minor issue unresolved, they clearly do not stand behind their work, and take advantage of people (evidenced by a $160 bill to re-diagnose an issue that was improperly diagnosed earlier). The latest estimate at over $1,000 is over DOUBLE the cost at ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP. A true lack of integrity and customer loyalty make this a truly awful place to have your vehicle serviced. I'm a huge advocate of Ford, their vehicles, and the service we've received at other Ford dealers, but when I read the Ford corporate values of "Customers are the focus of everything we do" and "Integrity is never compromised", I'm dumbfounded at how an organization like Palmetto Ford is allowed to bear the revered Ford logo. Do yourself a favor if you need dealer-service, goto Jones Ford of Charleston.

My salesperson was named Kelvin, he is a great salesperson and he will do anything for you to try to get you the vehicle you desire. He was outgoing, he listened and when I advised him of exactly what I wanted and the price I wanted to pay, he quickly went to Bruce. Him along with Bruce made it happen. It was amazing that approximately 9 years ago I purchased a vehicle from them and they actually remembered me. The Dealership offers better deals on cars through internet which gives the salesmen headaches when you check prices. Palmetto has a policy of sticking some extras in at closing that were not disclosed until the end.....but ever car dealership tries this. I still would buy from them knowing this but check internet prices around and compare apples to apples.

Really enjoyed working with Frank. When my husband raved about the Fusion Energi Hybrid I was very reluctant about buying an "Electric Car" after talking with Frank and a couple of the other reps who are using the same car, my mind was made up. The car is fun to drive, quiet and a lot of fun features. Frank filled the gas tank 4 days ago and its still on full. This morning coming into work I hit 96.4 mpg. All I can say is "wow" after driving a Grand Jeep Cherokee and only getting around 14.4 mpg my new car is outstanding.Frank was great to work with, I didn't feel pressured at all and he took care of us.Great experience dealing with Palmetto Ford!!

First of all, Palmetto Ford was the only dealership local to us who had the vehicle on their lot that we were specifically looking for. They have a large inventory. We had a very busy week and were unable to dedicate days at a time looking and negotiating. We also knew exactly what we needed for our trade-in and what we were looking to pay for our new Ford Edge Sport. After a quick test drive one afternoon, Gary French took the necessary information to value our trade and let us go on our way to pick our children up from school without pressuring us on when we would return. The following Monday, Gary and my husband were able to take care of all discussion over the phone so that all we had to do that afternoon was stop by and sign paperwork. It was one of the easiest and most stress free car purchases we have made, and we feel that we will have a good experience dealing with them from here on out for service as well. It has been worth the small drive from Goose Creek!

Car buying in a dealership is not my idea of a fun way to spend time. I've done it so many times over my 66 years on this earth, that I really know the drill. At it's best, the process is mind numbing. I especially find the lack of modern technology to support the "closing and signing" process to be a continuing headache for me as a customer, and for the back-office gentleman who has to do the best he can with it. But it takes way too long, and is only one step up from depending on pencil, pen and paper. I cannot remember the gentleman's name did all the behind the scenes paperwork at Palmetto Ford. But, he was extremely nice, and he did a fantastic job with process, given the technology he had available.On the sales side, Palmetto Ford made it about as good as it can get. Gary French was my first contact when I stopped by for just a brief visit, along with my wife who only about three weeks before, had open heart surgery. We just wanted to have a very quick look at some Ford F-150 trucks he had on the lot. Gary did not employ any high pressure tactics, and that was much appreciated.Then about a week later when we came back Gary was with another customer, and he asked Anthony Tompkins to work with us until he freed up. From then forward, Anthony worked with us on the vehicle we were interested in, and our trade-in. He did a great job with that. Toward the end of the "negotiation", Gary came back into the picture a bit more. I believe we got a good price, with all possible rebates factored in, and the exact vehicle and options we wanted. It was a bit more difficult for us to agree on the value of my trade. We really didn't care what the value of the trade was, so long as what we had to pay to net out the overall transaction was to our liking. This allowed Gary and Anthony come up with the deal that worked for us all.The truck was ready for delivery to us only one business day later, because I requested a spray-on bed liner, which by the way, looks terrific. Hopefully it will stay that way for a long time. I understand that it has a lifetime warranty (I assume the truck's lifetime (smiles)).We love the truck, and while this is only our first vehicle ever purchased at Palmetto Ford, if we are in the market for a new Ford or Lincoln in the future, Palmetto Ford Lincoln would be our first choice.

The trade-in value for my old car was good, and the financing part was simple as well. This is the 3rd vehicle in 8 years that we have purchased from Palmetto Ford and the experiences have always been positive.

My 2004 Ford truck had been giving me so much trouble lately and since I needed it for my business I decided it had to go. I really dreaded going though the experience of "negotiating" for another vehicle. My first stop was Carmax because the price "is the price" with no negotiating. . They gave me a small offer for my vehicle and had a pretty small inventory so we stopped by Palmetto Ford on the way back home. What a lucky stop. Anthony Thompkins greeted us and immediately made us feel at home. We did not have much time to spend so just asked that they evaluate our truck and give us a trade in price range. The used car manager was introduced to us and he immediately started the appraisal. Everyone was so nice and we felt like they were really trying to help. We left with a good appraisal price and vowed to come back Saturday to test drive. Saturday Mike and Anthony's goal seemed to be to meet our price point and be sure we had a vehicle we really liked. Needless to say they were successful and so were we. I recommend Anthony and Mike to anyone buying a new or used vehicle. They could not have been better!

buying a car for my daughter with no credit, could only afford 200 per month and did not want financing past 48 months so the bottom line had to be around $10,000 out the door with all fees etc applied for this to happen. Hard to do on a new vehicle. My trade was a 2008 chevy aveo and I needed top price for it and two other dealerships had insulted me with a trade in offer of only $500 dollars. the dealership was able to get creative with the numbers and we made the deal with me buying a 2015 Ford Fiesta for $195.00 per month for 54 months. Yes, I did have to go a little over the 48 months, but what we did not do was manipulate the term to meet the monthly amount. The numbers on this deal were so tight that I think it tested both of our nerves. Anyway, in the long run, I was happy and the dealership was happy.

Had a great experience with Palmetto Ford,went to 2 other dealerships both of them Ford and they do not compare to Palmetto at all. Brandon Fleetwood and Dan Lentz answered all my questions via phone and Dan Lentz met me at the dealership when I arrived. Dan turned me over to Larry White in sales who took his time with me and was very friendly. Larry was exceptional at helping me make my decision. I was looking to get a new truck, so I filled out a little info. On line and sent it to three local dealers. I heard back from Dan at Palmetto ford right away asking more questions into exactly the truck I was looking for. I did hear back from one of the other dealers later that day also and have yet to hear back from the third dealer. I talked to Dan and he was able to find the one I was asking about, even though he didn't have it on his lot he said it wasn't a problem to get it in. I got busy and put my search off for a few days and I still received emails from Dan letting me know that he was there to help me when I was ready. I went to the other dealer that I heard back from and was being pushed into buying what they had on their lot and not exactly what I wanted. I told that dealer exactly what I wanted and asked him to locate it for me, still haven't heard back from him. So I finally went down to Palmetto ford and when I walked in a guy named Kelvin asked if I needed help, told I was here to see Dan. Kelvin walked me to Dans office and we started going over all the options and colors that I wanted. Dan turned me over to Kelvin and he walked the lot going over all of the options and features I asked about. We found one that fit every thing I wanted and Kelvin got a price for me. He also brought Bruce in to talk to me and he cut to the chase and gave me a price. Told Kelvin I would think about it and left, wasn't any pressure or harassing phone calls once I left. I thought about it for a day and got back in touch with Kelvin and told him I wanted to do this. He had every thing taken care of and ready when I showed up to pick up the truck. Bruce and Dan both remembered who I was and both were very friendly when I came back. Dan went over in great detail on every feature my truck has and answered any questions I had. He explained the sync system very well and made me aware of things I didn't know it could do. My last three vehicles I had purchased from out of town but from now on all of my purchases will be with Palmetto ford. Every one at the dealership has gone above and beyond in me eyes and I would recommend them to any one looking for another vehicle or even services.

Upon the sudden demise of my 12-year old car in a town 4-1/2 hours from home, a sort of emergency car purchase became necessary. Every single person we interacted with at Palmetto Ford was cordial, sympathetic, helpful, kind and friendly as they made the fatal diagnosis of the 12-year old (new transmission required), helped us find a small SUV that matched our needs (not that many 4WD vehicles hanging around in Charleston we discovered), then retrieved it, prepared it and got it into our hands within 28 hours. The Ford Escape I now own was not the car I had planned to get ithis fall, but since the purchase timing was clearly not in my control, the beautiful sunset-metallic Escape I ended up with is perfectly meeting my needs. I am extremely happy with how everything turned out.And I'm quite sad that I won't be able to get my car serviced at Palmetto. Nothing like a car wash and a drive to and from work to make a service call less painful.

After spending a week with another dealer that was unable to help me. Kelvin (K. Ruffin) and Palmetto Ford Lincoln made the entire shopping process the best new car buying experience I have ever had! I called and spoke to Kelvin, told him about the car I wanted, what I wanted to pay for it and that I was on my way. When I arrived 20 minutes later Kelvin had the car ready for my wife and I to check out! The 2014 Ford Fusion SE (platinum white) with all the features we wanted was PERFECT! Kelvin was genuine and both my wife and I found him easy and a pleasure to talk with. Needless to say Palmetto Ford had the car, the right salesman and agreed to my price and we had a deal! We were sitting down for dinner at a local restaurant less than an hour after first meeting Kelvin. Believe it or not my wife and I have bought 15 new cars in our 16 years together, 6 of these have been here in the low-country since moving here with the Navy in 2008. Without a doubt my next purchase will start where my last ended....with Kelvin Earl Ruffin at Palmetto Ford.

There was a small oversight in the work they did on my vehicle but they quickly resolved the issue and arranged a rental car to ensure no further inconvenience. When I spoke with Al floyd on the phone, I told him of what I was looking for. When I got to the dealership, Al had the used car I was interested in ready to look at. We test drove it and I was pleased. Then he also gave me some other options, as well. There was a great deal on the same model and style of car which was brand new. The new car had a sticker price that was only $500.00 more than the used car. Guess which I went for. Al was great at helping get the deal together. Then I went to see Mike Kalinowski the financial manager. We all but arm wrestled to get the deal I wanted( kidding) Mike went the extra mile to get the deal I was satisfied with. All along, everyone was polite and helpful. Very thankful to Al Floyd who also kept me with plenty of ice water to drink on a VERY hot day out! I would definitley deal wilth Pametto Ford again!

Very unhappy. On Saturday when I purchased the vehicle, they forgot to put the fuel in. I called the salesman, Floyd Burton, and he apologized. Bring it back on Monday, he said. Brought it back with a quarter tank full. After he put the fuel in, it didn't even reach a half tank. I could have stayed in Summerville if I thought that's all I would receive. Took me almost $55 to finish filling it up. I've bought cars from there before, and other dealers around Town, and they always filled it up.Ron Austin, the finance person, I found not to be friendly at all. After handing me the receipts, he didn't shake my hand, or even thank me. He just turned and walked away. Probably wasn't happy with me, because I didn't purchased the extended warranty from him. Therefore, you can bet I won't be back for more of the same treatment.

I have a 2003 Ford F250. Over the last 3 years I have been going else where for work done on my truck because the service dept is TERRIBLE. After last night, not only will I not do business with the service but I have decided not to buy another car/truck from Palmetto ford. I had a dead battery that i bought from Palmetto Ford last year. Got off of work and took it back to Palmetto Ford since it is a 3 year battery. Jean informed me that for Palmetto Ford to honor the battery warranty - the batteries need to hooked up to my TRUCK and my truck TOWED IN so they can test my batteries. After wasting 40 mins, I had to leave the batteries at Palmetto Ford and now had to cancelled appointments for this evening because I still have to deal with my truck. Something that should have taken an hour or a hour and half is now going to take a whole day. Also Palmetto Ford is pricing themselves out of work. Can't afford their prices. And their bad attitude!!! What sucks is that I live one street away and will not support them anymore.

We have been going directly to Bill Pappas since he started with Palmetto Ford. Whenever our lease is up, we go directly to Bill. He smart, always professional and we honestly know that sees his job as doing his best for the customer. He does not push you in a special direction to meet some dealership goal. We know he believes that he takes care of us and our needs and wants that we will be back. It has worked for twenty years and it will continue.Our most recent experience involved the end of our lease turn-in. Our original plan was simply to buy the car that we had leased based its condition and the reliability of Ford products. After talking with Bill it became apparent that what we needed was two cars. Dan went the further mile giving me all the options and price differences depending on my choices, showing a lot of patience and also being prompt in emailing me all the details. The price he quoted included matching another dealership coupon plus a further cash incentive, thank you Dan!I had initially requested a woman sales person, as I wanted to support women in business, so Dan then introduced me to Molly McFadden who immediately impressed me with her friendly, warm professionalism. Molly took me for a test drive and was most helpful in pointing out all the 'bells and whistles' - the 2014 Mustang is certainly quite a car! I was contacted by the sales manager concerning the below experience. He went out of his way to rectify the situation. Thank you. Went to the dealership this evening to purchase a new escape, because the internet price was very good. The salesman was very nice and helpful, unfortunately when it came time to crunch the numbers the trade in value offered was $2500 below NADA trade in value. I expect to have to do a little negotiating when making a deal so I asked for pay off for my trade (payoff for my vehicle is $600 over NADA). I did not ask for a price reduction on the escape because the advertised price was good and I was prepared to pay the difference between the payoff amount and the NADA trade in value. He went back to the sales manager and came back with a number that $1500 below trade in value. When I pointed out that I knew what the values of my car were for trade in and retail his response was " well, our vehicle is not priced at retail". The dealership made a choice to price this vehicle below retail but then tried to make up the difference buy offering the a low amount for my trade. The difference between the trade in offer was almost exactly the difference between the retail price and the sale price of the new vehicle. Unfortunately for this dealership I had a bank draft with me and was prepared to buy the escape tonight until they made the poor decision to offer such a low amount for my car. This is the second bad experience I've had with this dealership, and the only reason I decided to try them again is because the owner rectified the issue quickly during the first bad experience. This will be the last time I attempt to do business with Palmetto Ford.

We are out-of-state volunteers at Edisto State park. We had a problem with the door latch on our 2011 Ford Edge. Took it to Palmetto on October 7. First they made me sign a paper saying I would pay $125 to run diagnostics on it. I told them the problem so a diagnostic was not necessary. Met a man in waiting room from Charleston who said they did not make him pay the $125 on his 2009 Ford F150. Gary Ferguson came in later told me the car needed a door latch. I had already told him that. He said it would cost $400-$500 to repair it. Gary insisted that we pay the $125. When we checked out AR the cashier charged us $150. I was busy talking to Gary, who said he had ordered the latch, that he would call me the next morning about when to bring it in because it would be here the next day. The part was in the warehouse. Called him the next day about 11 since he had not called me. Told me he could not get the part. I explained to him that since he could not get the part & that the other guy from Charleston was not charged a diagnostic fee so he should refund my money. After a long discussion he said he MIGHT be able to refund half of the $125. I told him I was charged $150. He seemed surprised! Later I called my home dealership, BF Evans in Livermore, Ky to see what they charged for a diagnostic. He said usually it was ONLY $69 & we should have received a copy of the diagnostic. I called Gary Ferguson again & requested a copy of the diagnostic report be e-mailed or mailed to me. All the information is in Ford's system as he told us he found it. What have I learned from this experience? Gary Ferguson & Palmetto Ford have some ethical issues with one lie leading to another. Don't do business with CROOKS.

I had initially emailed Palmetto Ford about the Focus and Brandon got back to me quickly and respected my time and alerted Kelvin that I would be coming in for a test drive. He had everything ready for me when I walked in the door. The Focus was exactly as described and drove wonderfully. The next day Kelvin had my paperwork ready to go and we were able to complete my sale without any surprises or hiccups. Kelvin always checked to see how I was doing or if I needed anything and explained all the paperwork carefully and answered all the questions I had on them. With all the complexities of cash, rebates, trade in's, and financing, I felt it went very smoothly. After the sale, Brandon lead me through my sync system, set up my phone, and changed a few settings for me so that my car was up and ready to go. I went to Ford and I was greeted by John Miller. I wanted to look at the F250's and John did a great job showing me the options and styles of the F250. After looking at the inventory on the lot I told John that I would like to "build my own truck". He was very familiar with that process, and we went to the computer and put my truck together. I was able to get the exact options that I wanted and the color that I wanted. I would highly reccomend John to anyone that is in the market for a new car or truck. Brandon Fleetwood helped me in this process too. I had inquired about my intrest in looking for a new truck through email online. Brandon was very prompt in responding to me, and he set up the introduction with John Miller. When my truck came in, I was able to sit down with Brandon to go over all of the electronics on my new truck. Brandon's knowledge of "Sync" in the truck was a huge help. Kelvin was prompt, friendly and to the point. Not a lot of extraneous chatter, but appropriate conversation moving quickly to the task at hand. Kelvin answered my questions, moved through the process in a comfortable way. Clearly an exception from previous experiences, I did feel that Kelvin wanted to help my situation, not just sell me a car. The business manager too was courteous, efficient and effective in moving me though the forest of trees I had to sign. In addition to having Chris as our sales person, we would like to add that the finance manager and the receptionist were also wonderful to deal with. Chris actually went the extra mile and came in on his day off to help us pick up the car. When I was delayed 2.5 hours due to flooding from heavy thunderstorms, he was right there with a smile when I finally arrived. We went to Palmetto Ford Lincoln to look at 2013 Ford F-150's and possibly trading in our 2009 F-150. We were allowed to look around without being bombarded by the sales staff (which is a turn off for us) but when we were ready to look closer we chose to work with Kelvin Ruffin. Kelvin was very knowledgeable about the truck we were looking at, answered any questions we had but was never pushy. Once we decided on the vehicles we wanted to purchase (yes, vehicles), we moved on to getting a trade in amount for our 2009 truck and final cost of both a 2013 F-150 and a 2013 Focus. The trade in amount was very fair as well as the final asking price for the vehicles. No haggling, very straight forward. We also worked with Mike in finance and Dan with internet both very professional and seemed to value our time.Would definitely recommend Kelvin and Palmetto Ford Lincoln for your next car purchase!! Mr. Pappas introduced me to Mr. Goddard, who met with my husband and me on a cold, rainy day to test drive several cars. Mr. Goddard is, without a doubt, the best salesman I've ever met. No high-pressure tactics here--just the facts. He was very friendly and forthcoming, and gave me a good price right away. He followed up with me several times throughout the order, as we waited eight weeks for the Fusion to arrive. He kept me informed and gave great advice about all aspects of handling the car. The care Mr. Kalinowski took to explain financing and warranty options was far and beyond what I expected. He found the best interest rate available to anyone. I especially valued Mr. Fleetwood's help with the technical aspects of this amazing machine. He is brilliant and also gave me his phone numbers in case I had any questions--very brave, as learning about this sophisticated car may take some time. I had intended to buy a GM product or a Lexus, as I had owned those before and had been happy with both, but this Fusion out-shined them all. For the money, this car had both better style and richer substance. From Miss Mandy at the receptionist's desk to Mr. Pappas, the wonderful staff at Palmetto made my experience as a new customer completely delightful.

The folks at Palmetto Ford literally did everything they could to get me into my new Lincoln MKS. I left with pricing terms that both the GM and I were happy. Joe is an outstanding, friendly and highly motivated salesman. His customer service is great as he tells it like it is with no beating around the bush. He was not pushy on Friday evening when my husband and I went to test drive and then returned from the test drive not to make a decision - that sold me! Brandon is exceptional at his skills as far as training with phones to sync - I didn't have to do a thing! He also showed me how to listen to my music and use the voice commands so that I didn't have to take my eyes off the road to do while driving. Today, I navigated to the bank! No problem at all! I received a personal escort from the service department to the sales department when I inquired about "trading up" to a 2013 Escape. Al was patient and competently answered all my questions about the 2013 Escape. Bill had all the numbers worked up for the car of my choice when I returned from the test drive . The biggest problem with our new MKZ purchase was that it took so long for Ford to build and deliver the vehicle, and there was very little status information being made available to and through the dealership. This was a Ford Motor Company problem and not the fault of Palmetto Ford Lincoln. Tony Barron treated us exceptionally well and did his best to track down information on the new vehicle's status. Brandon Fleetwood did a good job of explaining the new MKZ's controls and electronics, and we will certainly be going back to him for refresher courses as we get to know the car better. Prior to going to the dealership I called and spoke with the finance manager Mike and he gave me a ton of great information. I am always skeptical going to car dealerships because they are not known for their honesty but everything that I was told prior to making the trip up there was true. When I arrived at the dealership Mike introduced me to my salesman Kelvin who was super friendly from the beginning. He right away took me out to start seeing what all I was going to want in my Explorer. He was very patient with my 2 year old son and made me feel at ease with the whole car buying process. Managers Bruce and Scott were also very helpful in making my deal happen. I explained I had been working very hard to be able to get this vehicle and I really wanted to be able to make a deal. They worked all day on my trade amount and getting a great finance rate. After all the paperwork was done and I was presented with the keys, the internet manager came out to my vehicle and spent 30 minutes explained everything about the technology in my vehicle and how to work it so I would be comfortable using it. I really appreciate the amazing service I received there and it was refreshing to walk away from the dealership being able to say I had a great experience. THANK YOU PALMETTO FORD!!!

My purpose for coming to Palmetto ford was to just compare prices with other Dealership. Mr Fenton was the salesman I spoke with and because of his approach I went futher than I first wanted to. He was curtious in asking if there was any specific vehicle I was interested in and showed me to the models I desired. He also asked what I wished to have as far as interior and color, and after giving him my reply he led me the type I wanted but they did not have it in the color I wanted. Instead of trying to sell me another color he told me he would look to see if he could find exactly what I wanted, and after making some calls informed me that the car I wanted was located and that he could have it for me the next day, I was thrilled. I am very pleased with Mr Fenton for the way in which I was taken care of and how he made me feel compfortable in purchasing another Ford Explorer, I would openly reccomend anyone I know looking to purchase a car first to Palmetto Ford and to Mr Fenton. He also informed me that Palmetto Ford is one of the top 2 Dealership not only in the Tricounty but also in the 4 neighboring States. My previous experience was with Summerville Ford, but I have found a place to which I shall return again to purchase my vehicles. Thanks to Mr Boston Fenton for great customer service.

I had a great experience last Saturday. I was not really expecting to get my credit approved and therefore be able to get the new car that my wife and I were looking for. However Bill did a great job, managed to get the lease approved, guided us through the whole process and made sure that we left Palmetto Ford with a brand new Ford Escape. It was amazing. My wife could not believe - she was really really happy.I have to add that Mike was also great helping with the contract and talking to Ford about our application as well as Dan was really helpful in showing us the basic commands to take the most out of the experience of having the new Escape.Overall, we had a great experience and we left the dealership with our brand new car and very happy and satisfied.

My Dad and I went to Palmetto Ford on a Saturday looking to get him a Ford Explorer. He wanted a base model without the touchscreens and fancy doo-dads. We met salesman Corry Hallinan on the lot. Corry was polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with.As they didn't have a used base model Explorer in the latest platform(2011 on), we looked at a new 2013. I was pleased to find that Palmetto Ford let us test drive the vehicle alone with absolutely no hassle or pressure. When it came to negotiating on price, we had no trade in or financing to complicate things. I had looked around to see what the other Ford dealers in the area were charging for the same model and Palmetto Ford matched their lowest prices. With more time and effort, I might have haggled a few more dollars off the price, but the price we got was acceptable. I must mention a positive and a negative during the purchase process.Positive:It's part of the sales staff's job to make money for the dealership, so I wasn't surprised when when Corry offered a protection package for paint, fabric, etc. When we declined, I told him we weren't interested in any other add-ons and asked that the finance people, etc not pitch the extended warranties, etc - they didn't - thanks.Negative:When discussing purchase price, I let Corry know we had no trade in, and were paying cash. I only wanted to discuss the "out the door price" we would write on a check. After agreeing to a price, I wasn't shocked(only disappointed) when Corry came back from a visit with one of the managers in the gaurd tower saying the purchase price would go up +$500. Supposedly their previous offer had been based on us financing with Ford Credit and getting a $500 incentive . We declined the price increase, the manager agreed, and we finished the paperwork with the original agreed to price. I'm not sure if it was a lack of communication on their end that we were cash customers, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a normal sales tactic(i.e. sales staff trying to make money for the dealership).Taking everything into consideration, I would purchase from Palmetto Ford again.

IT was a great experience. Hedi showed us exactly what we were looking for. She never tried to sway us in a different direction. Mike made the finance part of it as painless as possible,working within the guidelines we gave him. Brandon also was great with setting up the sync. Mr. Ruffin went out of his way to find a vehicle matching my requirements among the dealers in the SC- NC area. One was located and delivered to me two days later. All features were explained to me at time of purchase and again when I picked up the vehicle. He was very friendly and courteous, and very knowledgeable about the Ford line of vehicles. He also assured me that if I had any questions just to call hhim for an answer.

Finally, a Ford dealership where the employees know more about the car than I do! Hedi impressed us immediately by knowing everything about the C-MAX and the ENERGI. What she didn't know (how long the tax credit will last) Scott found out immediately.And of course, Brandon knew everything about the computer features of the car. The process was very well organized which helped in that it was lunch time and we were hungry! This dealership is a hike for us but we will definitely encourage our neighbors to go the distance. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with 2 other ford dealerships. We knew what we wanted and they could have made a sale but their unbelievable ignorance of the hybrid models turned us off.

We were shuffled between 3 salesmen, one of which went home while my husband and I walked across the street to get dinner and discuss the deal. We told him we would be back in 20-30 minutes. We tried to make a deal with the nearest salesman when we returned. The lowest price Palmetto would come to was $8000 OVER Kelley Blue Book "Fair Purchase Price." We were told by the sales manager that they "don't have to sell cars for $98 over invoice like the dealer down the road." Two of the three salesmen were very pleasant and I feel sorry for them being at the mercy of the sales managers who were not even willing to negotiate. We went to Lumberton Ford in NC and purchased our new F250 for Kelley Blue Book "Fair Purchase Price." It was well worth the 3 hour drive!UPDATE: As a result of this post, we were called on several occasions by the owner of Palmetto Ford to ask for details about what happened. Since we had already purchased a vehicle somewhere else, he could not fix the situation, but I feel confident that he investigated what happened and addressed it with the employees involved. He was very apologetic and I feel he genuinely cares about his dealership's reputation and will try to insure this does not happen again.

We visited Palmetto Ford this summer about a new vehicle and were met on the lot by Joe Thomas. At that time we indicated that we were not looking to purchase a vehicle at that time but were interested in exploring our various options. Mr. Thomas was receptive to this and presented himself as very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicles in which we had expressed an interest. Moreover, he did not come across as pushy or overly assertive in pressuring us into a vehicle at that time. It is primarily for these reasons that we sought out Mr. Thomas again when we re-visited this past week. Once again, Mr. Thomas made readily made himself available to me and was able to answer most of my questions about the vehicle we were considering purchasing. For any questions of which he was unsure of an answer, Mr. Thomas was quick to respond "I'm not sure, let me find out" which I greatly respected.Overall, my buying experience with Mr. Thomas was extremely positive (far better than my last car buying experience). In all aspects of the experience (with Mr. Thomas and beyond), I was more than satisfied.

Daunting initially, but Chris and entire team of folks were very nice and made the entire negotiation very straight forward. Never felt like we were playing games, always felt like we were having an honest discussion moving toward a common objective: I needed cars, they wanted to sell me cars. Ended up walking off the lot that day with a new Explorer and new Focus, couldn't be happier. Salesman Joe was a good guy. Just a typical salesman. Stories about how this ones special because.... lol. Everyone was nice as youd expect from someone trying to sell you a car. The only downfall is how much time I was made to sit around after agreeing on a deal. It worked tho because when I went to the back, I signed my life away not caring and just wanting to get out of there. So a couple unexpected amounts (nothing egregious) just some things I missed but hey, I signed it so my fault.

Gary French was our sales representative and he did an excellent job for us. He was very knowledgeable of the Lincoln and its many features. Gary did not rush us through the process and allowed time for our questions. He did not put a lot of pressure on us after the test drive, and we appreciated that very much. Gary made sure we had the training we needed on the navigation system and radio. He also said he could answer questions if we found that later on we needed some additional assistance. Gary told us he would handle all of the scheduling for our car maintenance and all we needed to do was call him. It was reassuring to know that Gary is only a telephone call away. We did find that he did an excelltn job of scheduling everything that needed to be done before driving off the lot with our new vehicle. My first new car buying experience was much better than I expected. I had performed a lot of research and knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted a very specific and not so popular truck. It wasn't available anywhere in the eastern half of the U.S. Dave Johnston helped me through the factory order process and then we crunched numbers. In any of the negotiations Dave and team were always fair and changed my hard-wired stereotypes of how a typical dealership operates. Once we came to an agreement, Dave maintained frequent contact to relay status dates. A few days prior to picking up, I was able get all the paperwork out of the way in approximately 30 minutes. Finally, when I picked up my truck, I was shown every technical detail about the truck. I'm a computer engineer and I need help to quickly understand the SYNC system.I highly recommend doing business with Palmetto Ford. Dave and everyone else were great to work with, provided a low pressure environment, and gave me ample face time during the process.

When I visited Palmetto Ford Lincoln, I was not expecting to leave with a vecihle. My ford explorer was dying but I had taken out a title loan to get the transmission repaired earlier and expected I would have to pay it off before I could trade in my truck. A friend of mine had suggested that I give it a try so I stopped by that day expecting to find out what I had to do to get out of my situation. William Dockendorf ( Bill D) informed me that they could help. He was nice and funny. He showed me a couple of different cars and then checked my financial situation to see which one I could afford. We test drived a Fusion, and I ended up leaving that day with a brand new car at an affordable price. The entire staff went above and beyond to get me financed. Everyone was nice and friendly while I waited for the deal to go through. I was unable to get financed for an automatic, but Bill taught me how to drive my new car that same day. I would recommend palmetto ford to all my frineds and even had one stop by the next week looking for a vehicle. I would like to thank Bill and the financial experts at ford for all their help. 7 days after purchasing a used car at Palmetto, I had to purchase 4 new tires and an alignment. The tires began to fall apart on my way home (4hr drive). I contacted VP Bruce Bilsback and he said that he could have done something about the tires the previous week but not a week later. Poor customer service. Brian shelton tried to argue via email and make up false statements. Spending $1000 a week later for tires and alignment shows how poorly they car.

On Thursday, December 12, 2012, I bought a 2012 Ford Explorer from Gary French. I had one of the most pleasant car buying experiences that I can remember. Gary was a courteous, patient and accommodating salesperson and I felt no pressure with him what so ever. I explained that I needed a vehicle with head and leg room without having to drive a big gas guzzler. After explaining my needs, Gary was quick to understand what I was looking for and showed me a 2012 Ford Explorer with 4WD, a towing package and an added bonus to me was the ECO-Drive. I was immediately fascinated with the state of the art dashboard, and the spacious interior I love the heated seats and the My Touch system is Excellent. From the outside the body resembles the sleekness of a BMW, my friends thought it was a BMW when I drove up. I cant say enough about the roomy interior, but when you open the doors you can see for yourself that the interior room is outstanding, I sat comfortably in every seat! When I drove it, I was even more impressed with the Ford Explorers power, smooth ride and the ability to save gas. Gary was friendly, most respectful, professional and very accommodating. Palmetto Ford had the right vehicle for me and Gary was exceptionally helpful. Thank-you Gary, for listening to my needs, remaining flexible and ensuring I received a great vehicle at a reasonable price. Even the finance staff specifically, Mike Kalinowski helped me understand all of the documentation and was exceptionally helpful. I appreciate all of the staff at Palmetto Ford and everything yall did for me! I recommend that if anyone is looking for a pleasant car buying experience from someone who is knowledgeable, courteous and flexible then you owe it to yourself to visit Mr. Gary French at Palmetto Ford! He took the time to show me everything about this and how to use the voice command and touch screen. I was a motivated buyer -- and I had done the research to know the Mustangs I wanted to see.Having said that. Joseph took the time to go over the features of the cars, let me drive the two I was most interested in, and then was very patient while I decided between the convertible and the hardtop. I got the convertible -- and am very pleased with my choice.I returned a few days later to do get some detailing done, and to get my phone synched to the car. Joseph spent a long time with me - making sure my needs were met -- at the expense of being available to other potential customers. I really appreciated that attention.

This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Palmetto Ford. The first experience was a good one back in 2003. The second time around was a great one and it was because of the sales representative Mark Young. I had researched what I wanted and and saw that Palemmto had a couple of options on their lot. I went by to see them, Mark introduced himself and let me be to just look. 80% of the transaction for purchasing my F150 was done by phone and couldn't have been easier. After settling on a price, I came back later that evening and was in an out in a hour. I would highly recommend using Palmetto Ford and especially Mark Young!

Esther was so easy to deal with, we ended up buying a car from this dealer simply due to our sales representative. We had spent time "browsing" multiple vehicles and dealerships in the area. Most of the time the sales rep actually turned us off as we continued to "think about it". I have used this dealership with my previous vehicle, for service issues, and when I needed to purchase a new car. As far as the service department goes, it is almost always nearly impossible to get someone on the phone on the first attempt. Be prepared to leave a message and to not receive a call back for around an hour. Now for the car buying experience. When I purchased my car, the dealer (Gary French) I worked with was very nice, eager (almost to the point of seeming rushed), and attentive. Being a female, shopping alone, and not knowing a great deal about cars, I was very concerned that I would be taken advantage of, which I was upfront about, but I was quickly reassured that I would be taken care of, which i felt that I was. The car buying process was very stressful but for the most part the staff that I worked with was pretty helpful. However...a week or so after buying I had to bring my car back so that they could do the First Place Finish treatment (which I was talked into during buying and was told that it would take around three hours, but that the dealership would be happy to provide me with a car, so that I could go about my day while my car was being attended to). I called my dealer on Monday to inform him that I would be bringing my car in on Thursday, and again was told that I would be provided with a vehicle once I dropped mine off, to which I told him that I would be needing one. So I arrive at the agreed upon time, drop my car off with my dealer and ask for the car to use in the meantime. It takes the dealer around 25-30 minutes to return with a car for me. Once in the car and not even off of the lot, the car alarms to inform me that only 8 miles remain until empty. So I immediately return to the front desk and ask to see my dealer. Once he returns he makes it no secret that I have inconvenienced him by returning at all. So apoligize for bothering him and tell him that the car only has 8 miles to empty, to which he says "well, how far do you even have to go". I tell him i have to return to Mt. Pleasant and I really dont have the money to be putting gas in the loner car. So he snaps at me and says well here, takes his wallet out, and asks me how much I think I need for gas. I refused to take his money, told him that I felt that it was akward to take it and to forget about it. As Im walking out of the door, he yells "Bring me your receipt and I'll give you the money." I'm well aware that during the buying experience that he is going to be overly nice and do whatever to sell me a car, but the condescending attitude and the dismissive manner in which I was treated during the return visit was unexcusable and belittling. Other than the actually car buying experience, this dealership as a whole has left very little to be desired in terms of customer service. If I had it to do again, I would have done some better research and gone to another dealership.

About 12 years ago we had purchased a used vehicle from palmetto ford and had a horrible experience.It took forever to do the deal and we felt pressured to complete.We have purchased 4 new vehicles all from Ravenel ford due to this last experience.This time at Palmetto ford there was not any undue stress,everyone was friendly and yet professional.We did not feel obligated to make any purchase.We actually did not make any delas until the following day when both parties had decided we were not ready to make any deals at this time.I will definately check with palmetto ford on my next used or new purchase.Thanks Paul and Anne Blocker

I am glad to let you know about my recent experience with Palmetto Ford and our salesman, David Johnston. When my husband and I visited their dealership, it was our intention to "only" test drive the MKZ Lincoln. I have been driving a Toyota RAV 4 for the past 3+ years and it didn't take me long to realize that the quality of the ride was just not good enough for us. Since I had owned a Lincoln Continental prior to my Toyota, I was already familiar with the dependability of a Lincoln.I had originally intended to test drive a CTS Cadillac; but after reading about the differences between the Cadillac and Lincoln on vehix.com and KellyBlueBook.com, I realilzed that the Lincoln has a better overall rating.David met us when we drove into the dealership and stayed with us throughout the whole process. I never felt pressured and he was always very courteous. I think what I appreciated the most was that he never left the room and came back acting like it was "hard work" for him to find out the answer to questions that we asked. I have been to dealership where everytime the salesman leaves the room, he comes back and acts like it was soooooooo hard to talk "whoever it was he was talking to" into considering whatever we were asking. I hate that so much that I almost get claustrophobia when we are asked to "go into a room" to talk money/issues. I think that is why I waited so long to trade in my Toyota.I was prepared to leave at anytime. However, each time I asked David to find out something, he was very prompt and we just sat in the lobby and felt very relaxed. I already knew what I was willing to pay and what the fair price was. I also knew what a fair trade in value was for our car. Every figure that they gave us was right on. When he gave us the bottom line, I was shocked that he actually came up with a number below what I had expected. Even though it may sound cliche, it was an offer too good to refuse. I was pleasantly surprised.We actually drove the car home that evening. It is MY car and I'm absolutely loving it. There were a few small details that had to be taken care of, but they were very attentive to those and took excellent care of me and my new care. The reason for my rating is, as I told David Johnson, although I have bought quite a few vehicles over the past forty years, at last I have experienced an automobile purchase that was essentially painless, if not down right enjoyable.David Johnson was a joy to work with. Gary French was very frendly and professional from the first day we meet at the dealership. While discussing buying/trading options, Gary allowed me to digest the information provided and get back to him. Gary did not pressure me or continue e-mailing or bothering me will phone calls. When we cooresponded via e-mail, Gary was very prompt at answering the e-mail and always had the information when requested. Gary made the buying experience pleasurable. Bought last 2 trucks frm Palm Ford. Most recent was a 1yr old '06 f150 lariat 4x4 crew cab. Bought used in 2007, but by approx 2009 my hood paint was peeling off. It appeared the vehicle had been in a minor fender-bender during the original 1-yr lease prior to my purchasing the vehicle. It was not clear whether Palm Ford had repainted the hood, but it stands to reason the original lease-holder probably had done it prior at the point of accident. Anyway, by Sept 2011, most of the clear-coat had peeled off of my hood, but the rest of my paint was still beautiful. I had a recommended body shop quote me approx $450 to redo the hood, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt Palmetto Ford had some of this responsibility. However, I also relized but waiting so long to make them aware of it, I had probably messed up. I contacted Jim Moody, the body shop Mgr for Palm Ford, and showed him the hood. He stated he did not believe Palmetto did the original hood repair work, and that due to the length of time that had passed since my purchase of the truck, Ford would not likely reimburse the dealer for just making Ford aware of it. However, he stated since I had bought two trucks from them, he would take care of the hood for me. Just to be crystal clear, I asked him what MY total costs would be, and he replied $0 - only promising I should consider buying my future vehicles from them! PS - an important side note: when Jim and I originally looked at the hood, I forgot to point out the large blue Ford emblem on the chrome front grille. The blue had bled terribly and it looked like a bad tye-dye - probably from one of the rare occassions where I'd pressure-washed it. I called Jim back, and he agreed to fix the hood ornament as well - at $0 !!! Couldn't have asked more, or from a nicer man.

When negotiating the deal I was asked what would would it take to close the deal at the time. I had two things 1: A spray on bed liner and a cover for the truck bed. Gary saild he would check with the sales manager and came back and said done. Several hours later I got a call saying it couldn't be done and that I could get a rubber mat. Also the cover for the truck bed had to be ordered from Ford and would take a couple of weeks. When I checked on it two weeks later I went to a camper/truck accessory place to have it installed. When I was told I could pick up my truck it was supposed to be full of gas. As I drove off the lot I found that not to be the case. All these little issues add up to me feeling like I I did not get what I expected as minor as it seems and attention to the details of what makes a customer want to have a good experience did not quite meet my expectations. Finally I was really pushed to do this evaluation prior to getting my bed cover which I would have not been able to comment on if I had filled the survey out sooner. I will need four additional trucks next year for my company and hope that these comments are usefull.

I had a very minor problem with the visor on my 2010 Edge. Jim Thorne not only helped me immediately but said it would be taken care of under warranty. One of the best truck buying experiences I have ever had. I went into Palmetto Ford after visiting 4 other dealers in the past 2 weeks and still havn't found the truck I was looking for in my price range. I spoke with Graham Eubanks and Bill Pappas at Palmetto ford and it was the most comfortable and no pressure experience I have ever had. I purchased a 2011 F-150 crew cab 4x4. I wanted a leveling kit and BFG All terrain tires, I purchased the vehicle on Thursday and had my tires and leveling kit installed on Friday and they gave me a loaner car while it was being done. Unbelievable SERVICE. I would atleast give them a call to see what they have to say.

I brought in my vehicle for a few small issues that developed over time. Jim Thorne and his team in the Body Shop were extremely helpful. He not only took time to listen to the various concerns I had, but he talked through everything with me until I was confortable. He was respectful in every way and worked around my schedule to get everything I needed fixed (with a bill that I felt comfortable with). He also found a few other small problems with my vehicle that he repaired free of charge (quick fixes- but very appreciated!) Earler this year Graham Eubanks graciously put me with Tony Barron regarding the Ford Edge. When I came in again in June, not only did Tony still have all my information but he remembered me and my car needs. He found a car in another city that met our parameters and had it delivered to Charleston, all of this while my husband's and my separate travel schedules were cunfusing. Everyone that I spoke to at Palmetto Ford during our buying process was very helpful and courteous..We chose to leave the car and pick it up the next day to have the First Place Finish car care system done.So far we are very pleased with it. When I returned to pick up the car John our salesman was off but he arranged for another man to go through a check list of how to operate everthing on the vehicle. There was a miscommunications with the Warranty at the very end of the sale that lowered the scores that I gave the dealership over all. Instead of a 12month warranty I got stuck with a 3 mo. In spite of this, I hope I've made the wise decision to purchase this vehicle-my retirement " crossover " vehicle. This is not the first time my husband and I utilized Palmetto Ford dealership. My husband had bought two new F-150s-a 1983 and a 1998. He had kept both trucks an average of 12 years. I had bought a new 1988 Thunderbird for myself also and kept it for 12 years. I almost settled for a 2011 Buick Enclave. What attracted me to the 2011 Lincoln MKX is its 3.7 L V-6 engine that gives a better gas mileage ( 19/26 ) than the 3.6 L V-6 Buick Enclave ( 16/24 ). Also, for this 2011 Lincoln MKX,Palmetto Ford offered a 4 yr/50000 miles complimentary service warranty and better powertrain warranty ( 6 yrs/ 70000 miles ).

Low pressure, no stress during sales process. Saleman stated what he could do and then he did it. Enjoyed the experience. The salesman did a very good job, went out of his way to make the sale. I told him at the beginning of the process that the pickup truck must fit inside my garage and that this was deal breaker. When it would not fit (my a couple of inches) he came to my house and we discussed the options. After he made me the offer of including the exterior and interior protection complete with the warranty as part of deal I agreed to keep the truck. The pickup truck had the exterior and interior treatment installed and was delivered as promised. I would and have recommended this dealership and salesman to one of my friends.

I have bought 5 new Fords since 2005 from Bill Pappas at Palmetto Ford. I go by when they are closed and looked at the cars then my wife calls and tells him which one she wants. The entire process every time is less than 30 minutes. When we do leave him a message on the phone it is returned within the hour normally within 10 minutes.mY wife has a 59 minute return call policy, she calls it her "If it is not returned within 59 minutes and they are in the building, they aren't interested". Believe me, he is interested. He always greats my wife with a bright cherry smile. When we purchase our cars he goes out with her to demonstrate how things work. I will continue to buy my cars from Bill Pappas and always tell my friends about him personally. Sandi loves to get in early , get business done and back home early. Bill is always there by 8:45 and usually Sandi is there at 8:45. My son who has always been an avid Chevrolet fanatic recently said he is going to purchase a Ford this summer. He has finally listened to his Mom after 39 years. He has had nothing but trouble with his Chevy's so if we have switched even one, I did we did our job. When we returned home 30 minutes after purchasing our car, we already had a Thank You email from Bill Pappas.

Top notch is addressing customers needs. The staff at Palmetto Ford understands customer service and loyalty. I am always greeted with a smile by Mandy Miles and Gary when I walk in the door. Gary consistently fights for MY deal and not for the dealerships bottom line. The General Manager, Bruce Bilsback, continued to hear my offers and did everything expected to retain my business. I have consistently returned to Palmetto Ford, not just becuase of the selection of vehicles, but due to the intangibles that accompany the sale. Jean Healy from the Service Department has always provided me with professional VIP treatment, Gary continues to address my needs after the sale and I am certain that I have left the dealer with a great vehicle and a great deal to accompany it. Next to USAA, Palmetto Ford is the most professional business I have dealt with. They recieve my vote for 'Dealership of the Year'!

Salesman was very helpful and knowledgable. The financing department was also very helpful and patient with financing. Salesman went out of his way to accomadate my schedule and was very quick and responsive to any of my particular needs. I took my vehicle in for service because it had a starting problem (intermittently wouldn't start). They diagnosed it as a bad fuel pump, i had them replace the pump, fuel filter, and clean the fuel system. took it home, more problems arose. this time it would start and then almost die. took it in again, they diagnosed a bad IAC valve. had them fix it. I had also told them that it had spark knock and thought it may be related to the dieing problem due to a possible vacuum leak. Upon test driving the vehicle the service tech diagnosed the 'knock' as a rod knock and also said that it had a vibration. He recommended a new engine, and could not come up with any other possible alternatives. I had the car towed and got a second opinion. The knock was in fact a spark knock and the vibration were both caused by a clogged fuel injector. One cylinder was not firing at all causing a very rough idle, and there was a bad transmission mount making a metal on metal vibration. Since this shop had just done a fuel system cleaning they resolved the fuel injector at no charge. The other repairs were resolved by the second opinion shop. The car was very much mis-diagnosed and did not in any way need a new engine.

I recently purchased a 2010 F-150 and had a great buying experience. They had trucks in every color and different packages so I was able to choose what I wanted. They were very accomodating and gave me a great price. There was no pressure and they let me take my time making a decision. I will definitely do business with them in the future.

I've been shopping sround for a new Fusion for a few months now, I've stopped by all three dealerships in my area several different times and have to say I've been the most displeased with Palmetto. Its definitely the picture of a boys club down there with the "smoker's lounge" you have to walk through to get to the front door, the receptionist who's attire leaves little to the imagination and the over all good ol' boy mentality of the sales staff. I visited this dealership three different times this year and have talked with three different sales people (none of which called me back with the information I asked for) and the last one was the worst. He rushed me through everything and then seemed to get aggressive when I said I needed to thin about it. He practically screams at me, "What's there to think about?". From that moment I knew it was time for me to go and continue my shopping elsewhere. If "Mama" still has anything to do with this dealership, she should be ashamed of her "boys".

I have dealt with Palmetto Ford for about 3 years now and have bought 2 new cars, both from the same salesperson. An F-150 3 years ago and a 2010 Edge last month (love it!).Both times, I had already researched what I wanted online as far as packages and colors etc., before going to the dealership. Kelvin treats me like a friend when I go in, on the Edge, he had to get it from another dealership because they did not have one in stock. They originally wanted me to factory order, but were then able to find one locally for me.Once we negotiated, I feel I got a fair deal. They always call me after going there to make sure everything is ok.

Text of letter sent to Palmetto Ford<br><br>I recently took my 1999 Ford F150 for service at your Savannah Highway Service Department. At the time, the truck would not start properly, and I believed that the faulty part was the starter. <br><br>I was very pleased that Matt Fusco was able to work in my truck on a Saturday. It is uncommon to experience such expedient accommodation, and I was greatly impressed. <br><br>I received my truck back Saturday afternoon, having received a new starter and a service bill of $452.61 I enjoyed a brief lunch, and then drove to the Citadel Mall to pick up my daughter and her friend. From there, however, the story is not pleasant. My truck experienced the identical failure that I had noted less than 24 hours earlier. I phoned Matt from the mall parking lot and was advised that no towing service was available. Further, I was advised to arrange for towing on my own, at my expense, and that reimbursement for the towing would be considered but not assured. After several hours, I managed to start the truck again and left the vehicle at your service department for repairs on Monday. <br><br>My truck was returned to me on Monday in satisfactory condition, this time having had its solenoid replaced. While this service was performed at no additional charge, your invoice confirms that the cost of solenoid replacement is less than $100. <br><br>In researching this matter, I have learned from other auto service professionals in this area that the manner in which the problem was addressed is unsatisfactory. My general understanding is that the sequence of events for determining necessary repairs should have begun at the battery terminal, proceeded to the solenoid, and ended with the starter. <br><br>It would appear that your technician elected the most costly option of replacing the starter rather than proceeding in an orderly fashion, which would have, in this case, been less costly to your customer. Such a practice forces me to seek future service elsewhere, as I now have little confidence in the integrity of your department. <br><br>I recognize that the replacement of larger parts allows the dealer to recycle engine components. My instructions were to return all parts. Despite my request, no parts were returned, nor was I allowed to inspect the old starter. Not only did this happen with the starter itself, but also with the replaced solenoid which is not subject to recycling or reconditioning. <br><br>In light of the circumstances described above, I would appreciate receiving a credit to my credit card for the difference in the cost of replacing the solenoid and starter. Should you have further questions or wish to discuss this matter, please call me at xxx-xxxx.<br>
