Shopping for a new car can be an uncomfortable and trying experience. I have to say that was not the case this past week. I just like to know that when I take my Toyota Rav4 in for an oil change and tire rotations that it will be done right. There are going to be recommendations from the dealership but it is not a high pressure decision. I just said no thanks. I'm satisfied with their work on my car.

I called and made an appointment to have my 2015 Tacoma serviced and to have some weird spots looked at that had developed on the hood. I park the truck in the garage so I was a little baffled as to what they were. I tried cleaning and washing but it did not help. I showed them to Josh my service writer and he said that he would get the body shop to take a look at it to see what they could do. I was a little afraid that it would get very expensive to repair. After a short while my name was called. Josh took me out to show me what had been done. To my delight they were able to get rid of the spots! When I went in to pay they said that there was no charge for the work from the body shop! I Could not believe that! Thank You Peterson Toyota!

My front turn signal went out. I called Peterson Toyota, they said no appointment necessary and to just drop in. My regular Service Advisor is Kaden Moss who always provides great customer service. He was out so Josh Muchow stepped in. Told him I did not have an appointment, he said no problem we will get you in and out. He did just that! Peterson Toyota has always provided me with great service even though I did not purchase my Toyota from them. We moved here from Florida so I was a little concerned I would not get the same great service that I had with my FL dealer. From the first appointment on, I have never had any concerns about this dealer. Happy to be a customer of Peterson Toyota!

I found the car I wanted at another dealership, but we couldn't agree on the final price, after I left the dealership the sales person called me with a new price. I told him I needed to run it by my husband and would call him back. When I called the sales person back to tell him "I would take the car"; the car had already been sold. I was extremely disappointed. I contacted Peterson Toyota the next day and they had 1 left of the exact same car. They said they would match or beat the deal from the other dealership. They held the car for me, until I could come in and they met the deal, to the penny!!!! I love the car and would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from Gerry Hill at Peterson Toyota.

My 2010 Toyota Tacoma came up for service so I took it into Peterson's for the work. They provided a shuttle to work so I could drop the car on my schedule. They performed the required service and completed the recall inspections that were needed on the vehicle. They took extra time to explain options and charges which was good. The attendants are professional and thorough. The garage is clean which tells you a lot about how they run their operation.

I have used this dealership and more specifically Josh Muchow on the green team many times and it has always been outstanding service. I have 3 Toyota's, a truck, an SUV and a Camry. All of them are serviced by Peterson Toyota. To me, being honest is key and don't try and upsell me some repairs I don't need. I've owned Toyota's for over 30 years and I know what they need and when. Peterson Toyota has been honest, fair and has been great to my family. I gave the facilities a 4 only because their parts department does not have a parts walk in display store and only a counter. Most of the other Toyota dealerships I have used have a small store to buy various accessories and supplies for your car or truck. I like to see and touch some of the items before buying. Only having a parts counter is rather cold and impersonal in my opinion.

There are no star qualities to accurately reflect my experience. I took my Tundra in for a basic service. This is one of those where they do not change the synthetic oil. I was there for over two hours. This service would take 15 minutes at any lube shop in town. Absurd amount of time, and disrespectful of my time.

Since day 1, my Toyota Prius oil change is constantly take more than 3 1/2 hrs, which is unacceptable, considering appointment had been made 3 days in advance. Please improve the oil change time for better customer service. Too bad I cannot take the prius to other mechanics for oil change since Prius oil change must be performed at authorized dealer such as Peteren Toyota at Boise. I am 100% unsatisfied.

First time Peterson Toyota experience and couldn't be happier. Worked with Brent Palmatier to find the vehicle that best suited our needs. Brent wasn't pushy and just let us work through the process with his advice. We went in to look at a used vehicle but then ended up buying a new Toyota Highlander which we love. We had worked the deal out the night before and said we would be back complete on Saturday. When we arrived the Highlander was washed and had a full tank of gas and we breezed right through finance. Brent did a complete walk through with us setting up all the latest sink technology and going over all the features and how they operated. Very happy with the overall experience.

I had to take my truck in for a recall to have the rear leaf springs replaced. They were ready for me when I got there, even though I was a little early for my appointment. I knew the job was going to take about four hours, so I brought my laptop and some other work I had to do. They have some nice cubicles you can work in with power outlets, in a reasonably quiet area. I settled in for my four hours of work, and next thing I knew my service manager was coming to get me--after only 2 hours and 45 minutes! My truck was washed and ready to roll. Overall it was another great experience at Peterson Toyota, where I always take my 2008 Tacoma and my wife's 2005 RAV4 for service.

Service was excellent - however, I am still waiting for an answer concerning the floor mats. I purchased a new RAV4 last October 2015 and it did not have the floor mats. If the service dept. evaluates the mats why are they not included with purchase of a new car. I shouldn't have to purchase them too!!

Took my 04 TLC in for pre-scheduled service appointment to repair several items revealed on multi-point inspection. Usual service rep (Kaden) was off on vacation but fellow team member, Josh, handled the process. A courtesy loaner veh.icle was provided, as repairs expected to take greater than one day. I was kept updated on progress of repairs and they were completed by the estimated time and to my full satisfaction.

I brought my 10-yr-old RAV4 in for basic maintenance as well as get the Toyota "recalls" worked on. Making the appt by phone the afternoon before was super easy. The drop-off took less than 5 minutes, then, Justin handed me off to the super nice shuttle driver, Keith, who took me to my appts at the VA hospital. Three hours later, Keith picked me up. Then a 15 minute wait while my RAV4 gets washed - which is part of their complementary service - and all was done. I loved the fact that the RAV4 was ready when promised and that Justin discussed in detail the works completed as well as the status of my car, and he did not try to upsell or push any services on me.The free shuttle service made it really convenient for me to get to my appts since I do not live in Boise had scheduled the car maintenance work concurrent with my doctors appts.Overall, everyone was wonderful.

I couldn't be happier with my sequoia. It drives do smoothly, has plenty of power and easy to drive. I LOVE the turning radius! The customer service at Petersons is top notch. I love the valet service that can take me to work after I drop off my car. But even when I have stayed onsite for an oil change, the repair has taken less time than they quoted.

I called the Toyota dealership in Boise to schedule a routine 5,000 maintenance service. Appointment was scheduled on day & time requested, and they even sent me a courtesy reminder email on the day prior. I was checked in by a friendly, knowledgable service representative, and he kept me update on status of service. I mentioned that my electronic key fobs' batteries seemed to be getting weaker; he changed out both units batteries himself with no additional labor charges for that additional work. The maintenance service was completed to my full satisfaction within the estimated time.

Buying a car from Peterson Toyota was a great experience. I'm female, and buying a car can be a very intimidating experience. I've dealt with male sales representatives in the past that assume women either can't afford a nice expensive new car on their own or they purposely try and take advantage of what they think to be a lack of knowledge. Not Zach Skinner. I would recommend asking for him by name or make an appointment with him in advance. He's very professional, knowledgeable and entertaining. He will answer all your questions in as much detail as you need and never makes you feel rushed. Everything he did was honest, straight forward and he delivered on my expectations. He spent a lot of time setting up all of the electronics in my car and showed me how everything worked. He even followed up later to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I wish more car dealerships had sales consultants like Zach. I believe they would increase their female demographic and in-return increase their revenue considerably.

I recently purchased my first brand new pickup, and I chose a Toyota Tundra. Having previously purchased a car from Peterson's Stampede, I chose to check out Peterson Toyota. I contacted them via internet, and Lindi Stover was quick to respond. I never felt pressured, and she was available even on the weekends to answer my questions. I decided to schedule a test drive, and when I arrived, Lindi was there waiting for me and greeted me at the door with a nice salesman, Zak Burkard. Zak was pleasant, professional, and down to earth. He was laid back with everything. I decided to purchase after they worked to get me the best deal with a family discount, employee pricing, and a great interest rate. All of this was more than I thought I would receive. I didn't have anyone to help me get the truck home, so the next day, Zak even showed up to give me a ride to the dealership to pick up my truck, which was clean and had a full tank. I appreciate everything these two individuals did for me. It was a great experience!

I was unable to keep an appointment and was immediately set up with another time within a few days of the cancellation. I arrived early and there was a backlog, but they got me in and gave me a very comfortable completion time.The waiting room was equipped with coffee and other amenities...I had to bring the Krispie Creams. I would feel guilty if I were not to comment how amazing Mr. Cary Harp was in helping me and providing an exceptional services because this is the most I can do to toward him with his exceptional services he provided. I have been to many different Toyota dealer ships around the country in Seattle, VA, Florida, Pullman etc. but the service and care I received from Mr. Harp was exceptionally amazing! From my personal experience, it is such agent who communicate with you and the people in the back providing you the services. Employees like Mr. Harp actually express how great the quality of service is in Peterson. It is due to such employee that does his work efficiently and treat the costumer with dignity and respect and provide excellent services that make the company be one of the best.I am highly recommending Peterson to anyone based on the services I received through Mr. Harp. The charges were minimal and the service was fast and efficient. Mr. Harp was not like the other employees of the other Toyota dealerships I have met or came across. For instance, in one of the other Toyota dealer ship, I asked the agent, that the sensor of my car was not functioning or working well. At the end of the services, he didn't tell me anything about the issue and when I asked him realized he didn't even talk to the technician about the key issue and he started telling me that the light of the key is turning on so there didn't seem like any problem with the key. I mean he was apparently expressing that he is taking good care of me but most of us as customer know that if someone is faking or actually helping you. However, Mr. Harp handled each and everything issue or concerned of mine very professionally and resolved all the problem very well!I was absolutely impressed when he walked me to my car and even opened that door for me. I was shocked and didn't know what to do to reward him with his niceness--I am new to the American culture--I was not sure if I should have tipped him or how I should have expressed my satisfaction and happiness toward the services I received from Peterson through him. By tipping here I mean in my culture or back home tipping in the restaurant considered bad but in the U.S it is the other way around. Thus i was not sure if tipping was a good/right thing in such an occasion as I know for valet parking, restaurant etc tipping is a must or a good gesture in the U.S culture but wasn't sure here ;) Thanks again Mr. Harp and Peterson for the excellent services I received and I will always be your customer for the next few years of my stay in Boise!

I downgrade the quality of the repairs, because this is the only place I found where I can grade the actual quality of the original parts of my Prius . .. specifically the tires . . .which are only rated at 30,000 miles. That has to be one of the lowest mileage rating of any tire ever manufactured. If I had been offered a choice by the dealer, e.g., upgrade to 50 or 60K tires, I would have been glad to do so. Sadly, I did not realize just how poor the original tires were, and overlooked it. As it turns out, there is no upgrade package for the car tires anyway. So far as I am concerned, this is a HUGE failing on Toyota's part.

I'm tired of Peterson Toyota trying to sell us service that isn't needed and prices that are ridiculous. In cabin air filter .. takes 5 minutes to change yourself. No way the labor should be anywhere near what they charge ... Your "throttle body" has excessive carbon build up ... during an oil change they disassembled my car removing hoses, filters and covers to see this ... I don't think so.... just trying to sell my wife some "extra" this needs to be done stuff.

I took my 2004 4 -Runner to Peterson's for my mileage inspection when they found oil leaking form the front timing cover. My service consultant, Marie Schmidt, called me to inform me that there was an oil leak and to come see her as soon as I finished lunch. I quickly found her upon my return and she took me back to see the technician, Jeremy who had the car hoisted with the cover off for me to see the extensive oil leak. They reviewed the possible choices with me and what else needed to be fixed before I made a decision to fix the car. I am so pleased that they looked at everything while having the cover off and fixed the front crank seal and replaced the crank pulley that was damaged and the root of the problem. The technician was confident that the problem was fixed and so am I. I was heading out of town the next day and the team let me use a loaner Toyota Rav4 2015 for our trip. When I returned they met my husband and I with smiles even tho there was a chip in the window and helped us move our luggage to our own car. Billing was easy and no problems. I appreciate most that they got into a problem and fixed the cause of the problem not only what they first found! Thank you Maria and Team B.

Brent Palmatier is a salesperson's salesperson; the best of the best. He is very professional, listens to what customers really mean (not necessarily say), and goes to bat to see if there is any way he can make it happen. The yellow "maintenance required" dash light came on. The required routine maintenance was done, and the maintenance reminder light was turned off and reset. However, in the process, many of the other warning symbols were also turned off so I had to return to get them all reset and turned on.

My 2009 Toyota Tacoma has been treating me quite well for quite a few years now. I have had the recall for Floor-mats possibly interfering with the gas pedal and now the Leaf Spring problem. I decided to get the leaf springs fixed and my brakes worked on because they started to get a bit spongy after 105K miles. They found that my CV boots had deteriorated and needed replaced. Kind of expensive, but then lots of labor required. At least they saved the axles! Considering this was my first expensive repair in about 8 years, I am still very happy with my Tacoma. Peterson Toyota customer service is very friendly and know what it takes to keep our Toyotas on the road!

Worked with a salesman for many weeks it wasn't until I said I was going elsewhere when they finally found the NEW vehicle I wanted with the interior/exterior colors and options. The salesman sent me photo's of the options sheet and of the OUT THE DOOR PRICE. We confirmed the sale he said my new vehicle would be available in a week. One week later he called my vehicle was ready. I live an more than an hour drive from dealership. My father-in-law and two year old grandson waiting in the car outside for me so we could shift car seat and stuff to my new ride. Two hours later, I finally get into "finance" to sign the papers to see the OUT THE DOOR PRICE was more then agreed upon. I showed the finance guy, my salesman and the sales manager my photo's. After a very long wait I was told I would have to pay the difference or an option which was on the sheet I had a photo of would be removed (roof cross bars so there would then be holes in the roof). I asked for the GM and was not told not available. Tate the sales manager was extremely rude and informed me how much they had to pay for shopping the vehicle and the mistake was made by the salesman and I needed to take the issue up him directly (who by the way had left the building by now), pay the higher amount or have the cross bars removed. EXTREMELY POOR experience and very rude sales manager Tate. Will never recommend Peterson Toyota of Boise and will continue tell everyone to avoid them.

I brought my Toyota pickup in,because I saw a leak at the bottom of my Pickup. As it turns out,it was because the Service Techs over Lube it. While driving through Boise and I had them service a recall and 100K on a stop over for my Sequoia. Excellent service and honesty in servicing the vehicle. Months later I was moving to Boise and saw the Tacoma I alway wanted there. They had no problems discussing and working a deal despite my being in the middle of relocation (i.e., in corporate housing and moving at that time). I took my Prius in for the regular servicing. Everyone is so efficient and courteous. The service manager told me what to expect on the next visit (which will be 30,000 miles) - compared to other car models I've owned, the sticker price on the 30,000 mile service is practically nothing compared to the others. I bought a Prius in 2013 from the same Salesman (at Peterson) that I bought a Scion XD from in 2008 (that says something right there doesn't it)- he showed me the new Prius while my car was getting serviced. Can't imagine a better place to buy a car or get service. And PS they've managed to make the new Prius even better!

I recently brought my 2003 Toyota Tundra in to have the timing belt and water pump replaced. Normally I would do this job myself but the Peterson Service Department does such a great job, i would much rather have them take care of it. I had scheduled an appointment for the 35,000 mile check (oil change, tire rotation) and asked for new windshield wipers. The service tech (Cary Harper) asked if I wanted them to repair the recall issue also. I said I was on a tight schedule that day which is why I only scheduled the maintenance items. He said he could expedite it all and have it all done at the same time and it would only take a few minutes more for the recall since it would be done during oil change/tire rotation. Well, they not only completed it all but it took less time than estimated. Great service + great tech = happy customer!

I recently took my son's car to Peterson Toyota for a simple oil change. Now I should preface this review by saying my son's car is NOT a Toyota. I DO own a Toyota Sequoia and have only gone to Peterson since moving here from Florida 18 months ago. Back to my son's car service experience. Several months ago we purchased our 15 year old son a used vehicle. Though I (and he) would have preferred a Toyota, we just couldn't find what he wanted. Anyway I took my son's car in and had my regular service advisor handle the appt. Kaden Moss once again stepped up and took care of my son's used, 11 year old car just the same as if it was my 2 year old Sequoia. They changed the oil and checked everything just like they would for a vehicle purchased from their lot. Kudos to Peterson for hiring such personable and service oriented people like Kaden!

I bought my Tacoma from a dealer in Idaho Falls and took it home to Bozeman, MT. I took it in to the dealer there for service and they tried to charge me even though I had bought the extended warranty and service. I took it back a second time with the same experience and vowed not to take it back but would drive to IF instead. Then we had a change and moved to the Boise area. When I went to Peterson I expected the same runaround I had gotten in Bozeman. I was surrised when they did the service, cleaned the truck and checked everything with no hassle about payment and no extra add ons. These guys rock!

Took my 2014 Toyota Highlander in because the GPS Maps wouldn't load and it shut down the Radio, including XM and the phone interface. It would roll over and attempt to recover about 10 times and then finally give me a black screen. I was very concerned as the car is only 2 years old and I own two other Toyotas, (a 99 Land Cruiser and a 96 T100) both of which have been exceptional and both have over 200K miles. My service interface, Kaden Moss was very patient as I did a little bit of ranting about this issue and my concern over the cost. Imagine my surprise when there was no charge and the system just needed an update. I would have been more than happy to pay the labor for this had it been requested, but it wasn't. It was done quickly and efficiently. Great service from Peterson Toyota and my faith in Toyota has been validated. Look forward to my next car being another Toyota and definitely from Peterson.

I was in the market for a used Car. I wanted a car with a used price but still in great shape. Brady Fuller of Peterson Toyota in Boise, ID was instrumental in helping me find my Camry. He went above and beyond anything I have ever seen from a salesman. Brady knew ahead of time that I wanted whatever vehicle I chose to be inspected by my own mechanic. Since it was after business hours on a Friday Brady asked the Toyota mechanics to put the car on the lift and show me everything about the mechanics of the car. I actually learned a lot about the car I purchased. When I went to fill the gas tank the first time, I found a hand written note from Brady expressing his gratitude for the sale, taped to the gas tank lid. Had two cars in to do basic service (oil, lube, filter) on the same day, just two hours apart from each other. The customer service was terrible. When I arrived I had to wait and wait for someone to write up the service order. Other customers arrived after me and where taken care of first. I was told I was part of either a red or green team (cannot remember which) any the service individuals who write up these orders were busy and behind. Makes no sense what so ever. The second vehicle I brought in was really a nightmare. Upon arrival I asked if I could have the same person who wrote up my previous work order that day take care of me (they already knew my phone number, address etc and I would not have to back through this again). I was told no because I was not on that color of team for the second vehicle. Then the customer service person I got was terrible. He asked me what type of oil they put in my car, synthetic or not. I have 3 Toyota's and they take care of all of them. I told him to look at the past service records for the vehicle. When I came back to pick up the second vehicle, he had an error in the charges which I caught, so he had to re-do all of the paperwork. He then went to walk me to my car, open the door of a car in the waiting area and said thank you. Only problem was it was not my car. My car is a Toyota. The car he opened the door on was a Lexus. He was totally dis-connected from me a customer and could have really cared less. I will make a request that he never takes care of me again!

I bought my car from my cousin in Texas as I was moving from South Korea and needed one in my garage when I got here. I've been taking it in to Peterson since that time and the service is always great. My ONLY complaints have been finding out they don't have shuttle service to Star and, on the day of that service, finding out it would take about four hours. Had they told me it would take four hours I would have asked about the shuttle service beforehand and made arrangements. All other services have been great and very prompt.

I lease to have a safe and reliable vehicle for my business. We are in a situation helping our daughter with college that has us looking for ways to cut back in different areas. I came to the dealership not knowing if they could do anything to help, especially considering the lease contract. However, the salesman who assisted me, Brit Messman, listened to my situation and simply said he would see if they could come up with something. And boy did they ever! I was treated with respect as they figured out what might be a way to honor the lease agreement and yet address our situation. We came up with a solution that I never would have thought possible, and I left with a different car, my lease intact, and a monthly payment that will help our situation. The service Department is very clean and comfortable, lots of free coffee, tea and cocoa. The amazing thing is that the quality of service at Peterson seems to increase every time I visit. I worked with Mike Matthews this time since my previous sales person retired a few years ago. Mike made the whole process very easy and pleasant. He listened to my needs very carefully and provided me all the information I needed to make an educated decision. I recently bought a 2016 Tacoma that is awesome in every way. I have rated the buying experience in a preceeding review here. This will address a minor but very time consuming service issue with the Sirrius radio. Initially there was an incomplete download from Sirrius. I returned to Peterson to verify that the issue was not in the radio itself. Their service personnel worked several hours with the Sirrius folks to finally resolve the issue very favorably to me. Now the truck is actually perfect! Job well done by Kaden Moss and his repair techs. Many thanks!

I had a great experience buying a used truck at Peterson. My salesperson Brit Messmann was very helpful and professional, not pushy, and didn't pry into my personal or financial situation as I've had other dealerships do. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles I was considering. When we got into negotiations, he was very fair and did not get personal. I am happy with the price I paid as well as what I got for my trade-in. The Parts guy was friendly and helpful when I bought some filters, explaining differences from my last vehicle. The service manager was also friendly, although I haven't used them yet. I only had two knocks on the whole process. One would be the finance guy throwing guilt trips at me - some personal - about not buying a warranty. I get his job is to be a little pushy, but he crossed the line. Also the accessories guy's pricing was well above non-sale internet pricing on several items I inquired about, even after I showed him the references. Likely the dealership has simply chosen to mark up that area in hopes people won't shop around. I think likely this is typical at most dealerships, as is the experience with the pushy finance/warranty guy. Overall a great experience, though, mainly due to the salesperson Brit Messmann.

I arrived for my appointment as scheduled. I asked about dent removal for a spot on our driver's door. The service tech, Keith, said he would get some information for me and have it for me before I left. He told me that my car would be ready in an hour or so. He asked me if I wanted to have my car washed. I went to the waiting area and got a cup of coffee. Keith brought in a paint repair person who happened to be on the premises. The paint repair person said that I needed a dent repair before the paint could be repaired so Keith gave me a card for another independent contractor. My car was ready in less than an hour and was brought to me clean and dry. Keith was very helpful and considerate.

We bought a used 2008 Avalon from Peterson's Toyota. The whole experience was good. Pleasant, professional salesperson (AJ Friedley) who I would go back to if I needed another car. We feel we got an excellent deal on a used automobile, not to mention we LOVE the Avalon. IMO you can't go wrong with that if you want a nice sedan. Plus they gave us the first service / oil change for free, which they scheduled and said it would take one hour. It took one hour. They even washed the car for FREE in that one hour. I would go back here to buy another car. Although I'm not nuts about paying the dealer for simple things like oil changes.

Had to wait for service representative at 1:00 because several were eating lunch. Shop reps were eating in bays--did not look good. Once service was completed they contacted the wrong phone number not the one I provided and I did not know job was done until 2 hrs later. Service work was good but seemed disorganized with few reps on hand. There are 20 terminals only 3 persons working on this day, Saturday.

My wife and I were out of town for a couple of weeks. We left our Camry parked in the garage that entire time. When we returned, my wife drove the Camry to the store and then back home with no problems. The next day, when we tried to use the Camry, the battery was dead. The dash lights came on, but they kept flashing. The car would not even try to start. I called Peterson's service department to see if they might be able to help me determine the problem. Cary came on the line and was very helpful. He provided me with the number to call Toyota Roadside Assistance since the Camry was still under warranty. I called Roadside Assistance and a tow truck was at my home in about an hour. They were quite knowledgeable and very helpful. They picked up my Camry late in the evening and took it to Peterson's for repair. The very next morning, I received a phone call from Cary. Then, he called back a couple of hours later and told me that the Camry was all fixed up and ready to be picked up. Since my wife was busy doing other things, I asked if they could send someone to my home to pick me up and drive me to Peterson's to pick up the car. They had a very pleasant fellow pick me up within the hour. I was very pleased with the entire event even though it is not always a welcomed event to have car problems.

I lease a RAV4 for my business and live about 50 miles away from the Peterson dealership. When my inflation light went on the other day, we put air in and ran the car on a freeway stretch as the temps were single digits, and tire inflation issues are not uncommon. However, this did not make the indicator go away, so I headed for the dealership, showed up without an appointment and asked for help. They were able to see that one of my tires had picked up a nail and needed repair. I was referred to the Customer Service area where Marie took care of making arrangements right away even though she was busy with other, scheduled customers. I simply waited in their comfortable Customer area for about an hour and it was fixed! I so appreciate their willingness and ability to handle impromptu situations like this and help us to get back on the road as soon as possible.

I believe my frustration with the service department may have been the result of a series of miscommunications. I purchased the "clear bra" and interior protection at the time of the purchase of my vehicle. My salesman told me to come in the next Tuesday (given no set time) in the morning and that I could get a loner vehicle while these services were performed. I showed up and nothing had been scheduled and there was no vehicle for me to use. I live 25 miles from the dealership and had other appointments, so was told another appointment would be set up and they would give me a call. I received a call telling me to come in the following week on Wednesday and that there would be a loner for me to use. I came in, and once again, the service department didn't seem to know anything about my appointment. After a considerable amount of time, approximately 45 minutes, things were worked out and I received a loner to use. Late that afternoon, I was told that they needed to keep my vehicle overnight and probably until late the next afternoon. I believe the mix ups were a result of departments not communicating. It was, however, frustrating to come in for service twice and feel like I had been overlooked.

I recently moved from Ontario, Oregon to Boise, Idaho. I had my service light turn on for my 2014 Toyota Corolla so I scheduled an appointment. The online scheduling is EASY and convenient for the busy 9-5 person. I got to my appointment about 10 minutes late, yet the service garage was empty with NO LINES. Although my service agent assigned to me online was not immediately available, another employee took initiative to obtain the information needed to get my car service started. Everyone was very knowledgeable and having wi-fi available without having to obtain a password was very convenient while I was waiting. When getting my service at the Toyota Dealership in Ontario, Oregon, the appointment would last for AT LEAST 2, sometimes 3, HOURS!! I was expecting this to happen to me again. My service agent informed me it would be about an hour for the service (in my mind I was like okay, we will see). I was shocked when she came out and told me they were done, it was a little less than an hour! Not the usual 2 hour service I was expecting, which was FANTASTIC!

Do your homework at Peterson... These guys make you a deal then sit you down to sign a deal that is nothing like you agreed to. Interest rate was not even close to the agreed rate. I qualified for their 1+ financing. Toyotas best rate. Price for the vehicle went up due to hidden fees. Payment was hundreds of dollars more than agreed to. Taxes were calculated wrong by thousands of dollars. I asked why the deal changed, their response was that they had a software update error in the finance department that calculated the deal wrong. I wasted three trips to this place with three completely different results. All of which weren't even close the hand shake deal that was made. Please double check your deal and ask questions of you see something that looks odd.

I went into Peterson Toyota to have an inspection done on my car. I've been hearing a slight grinding noise under the hood, but don't know what it is. After going here a few times with less than happy interactions, I was met by a technician named Jack, who was very helpful and gave me a lot of information that I didn't know about my car. He offered to drive the car around with me to get an idea of what I was hearing and pinpoint what was making the noise and where it was located. We soon found out what the noise was, and he told me it was the trans-axle, but by the sound of it, there was nothing wrong with it's functioning. He said that the car is usually so quiet, you don't hear much from it, and when it gets cooler outside, you can hear the trans-axle more than in the summer when it is warm. He spent a good half an hour or so inspecting the car after that to make sure there was nothing serious that may have been missed when they did their multi-point inspection. So, thank you so much for the help. This was by far the best experience I have had at this dealership. I would love this kind of service again, please and thank you.

When I received my recall notice for my Toyota Rav4 my first thought was that this would be a hassle. So I made the call for an appointment thinking it would be a prolonged situation. I certainly was wrong, I was given the opportunity of choosing a time convenient for me! When I arrived, on time, the service department was ready, Kaden Moss my service consultant , was friendly, professional and courteous. My repair was completed within the time quoted, I was given an itemized Recommended Action Plan after they inspected my vehicle, complete with pricing which appears to be quite reasonable. My original salesman, Dino, even came to the waiting room to say hello, no pressure about buying a new vehicle just keeping in touch. Peterson Toyota is the only dealership I will consider when I purchase my next vehicle.

I am not one to use a dealership for basic maintenance due to the higher prices they normally charge. Being new to Boise and calling around to price an oil change, lube and general inspection, the dealer was well within reasonable costs/ pricing. From the first minute at the dealership it became evident that this was a well run organization. I felt well taken care of and confident that what Carey, the dealer rep, had told me on the phone was going to happen, and it did. I had a great experience, was shuttled over to Cabela's during my appointment, picked up promptly and returned to my serviced truck, all washed and lubed, tires rotated, all services done as promised for the same price as quoted over the phone. The dealership rep, Carey, even found a coupon for $10.00 off online and applied it to my service without my asking. I am impressed and will return in the future.

Transferring in for service from California, I expected some red tape & delay checking in, nothing! I was easily found in the system, checked in & escorted to the lounge. What a lovely & clean place to relax, drink some very well made coffe & read my book while I waited. I was told it would be about an hour, which it did, right on the nose! I was well advised of the necessity to change my cabin air filter & thr things I can do for optimal care of my vehicle until my next service. Now the most impressive part! I had told Marie that when I moved here, I travelled with 2 cats & a dog, thus there was a lot of hair & I did not expect them to clean out the cabin of my car when they vacuum. When I got to my car, it was a miracle! There was no animal hair & my car looked fabulous!! I was very grateful at the care they took with me & my car. Thanks everyone!

I had called Peterson and they told me no problem bring it in and we will be more than happy to look it over. The found a couple of minor things and had those done too. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We have two other Toyota cars and we have all of our work done at Peterson. We never have had any issues at all. I would recommend Peterson to anyone!! KB

I had to take my vehicle in for service and have the front struts replaced as well as the left headlamp. I had an unfortunate trip on a forest road and my vehicle came down HARD on the road; hence the need to replace the headlamp. Peterson Toyota fixed my car perfectly and avoided me having to go to the body shop. I have been to this dealership at least 3 times for service and it is always a great experience. We brought our 2010 Toyota Prius into Peterson Toyota in Sep 2015 to trade it in for a slightly newer Subaru. We knew what we wanted and didn't have a lot of time to dilly dally. We had made an appointment with Brent Palmatier, one of the salesmen there, to test drive a certain car. We pulled into the parking lot a few minutes late, and with only about 30 minutes before we had to leave. Brent had the car already pulled around up front, he was waiting for us, and was ready to hop in and test drive it. He was very helpful during the test drive, not a pushy typical car salesman, and was glad to give us the car to take home for the afternoon to continue to test drive it while we left our Prius at the dealership. We decided to buy it that afternoon since we had already test driven a few other similar models but decided on this Subaru (used 2013). They gave us fair price on our Prius, and a very fair price on the Subaru. And they actually got us a very competitive interest rate (2.02%) when finalizing the deal. Overall it was a good experience.

Being new to the area and owning a 6 yr old RAV4 I had contemplated going to a "quickie" type oil change service but was very glad I didn't. Not only was the oil change and tire rotation done quickly, but they also found that the water pump was leaking. If I had not gone to Peterson I might have wound up with a major problem on the side of the road. Kudos to a pleasant, albeit costly, experience!

Awful service and high prices. Bottom line, the parts department didn't order the parts, the scheduler didn't schedule the repair correctly, and the mechanics broke one thing and didn't correctly repair another. Not at all what I expect from dealer service or for dealer prices. I took my Tacaoma in for a recall on the clutch. At the first appointment they confirmed that it needed to be replaced, but we'd have to wait on the parts. Then the part didn't get ordered, so we had to wait even longer. After it came in, we had to return for a second appointment, where they questioned the need for the repair that they already said we needed. During the repair, the mechanic broke something else, meaning another part had to be ordered and I'd have to make a THIRD trip back. During the second visit, I also had them replace a mud flap. It's a fairly easy job that I could have done it myself, but wanted the security of having a professional do it, so I paid the $50 for 15 minutes of work. Sadly, it wasn't done right. The pins were loose and one of the screws wasn't replaced at all. The third trip was the worst. I had to wait 10 minutes to check in for my appointment, then after another 20 minutes, was told that the mechanic scheduled to work on it wouldn't be in until 10. This was made worse by the hot chocolate tasted burned and for the second time in three visits, the wireless internet didn't work. Even after they tried to fix it. Fortunately, they found someone else to do the work. Even then, the two small jobs took 50% longer than they had expected.

I set an appointment for an oil change based on customer loyalty and various coupons I have received (current one $10 off). But when I saw the bill I thought we were back in the midst of the oil crisis. Over $50 for an oil change. This is beyond comprehension. This pricing was never revealed in advance with either a statement or written estimate of costs. Plus, I discovered when I got home that I needed to replace a tire valve stem cover that went from not being broke to being broken somehow. They said they rotated the tires and checked air pressure. Not sure that I gave them permission to break the valve stem cover, however without replacing it.

I was dealing with Wes Rice and he told me they would give me a deal I could not refuse. I actually have 2 Toyota Corollas (2011) and 1 Toyota (2012) Camry. They were interested in two of my cars but told them lets see what you can do with one Toyota Corolla. I tell you what Wes gave me a deal that I could not refuse. I was able to not only trade my 2011 Corolla but step up and be able to buy a 2015 Camry. Wes made it so easy and explained all my options while going thru the offer that all I had to do was say yes. It was so easy and stress free it was probably one of the best experiences in buying a car. Wes was great and I recommend you asking for him because he will give you a deal that you cannot refuse. I have bought 4 cars from Petersons Toyota in the last 4 year 2 new and 2 used and have no complaints. I will go back again when the times comes because they do offer you a great deal and a fair offer on you trade in. You won't go wrong.

I drove over 400 miles to Boise for a conference. On the way to Boise, a wheel bearing went out. When I called the service department they were able to schedule my vehicle the next day. They had the problem diagnosed quickly, were able to get the part in and have me back on the road the next day. I was very impressed with the outstanding service and the excellent facilities.

I have been taking my Sienna for service since I purchased and have always been very impressed with the service department and the quality of the service and interactions with the service personnel. The sales department on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired and after a very negative interaction I had with the sales floor this week I will never considering purchasing a car from this dealership. I can't believe a dealership of this caliper is still trying to sell cars playing games and treating not only customers, but their own low level sales people extremely lousy. Like I told the floor manager there are a lot of dealers in town that also want to sell cars and "get it" and don't play the stupid games they tried to pull on me.

Sometimes you just want to get your car serviced and get out. While dropping off my car I get told of any services that "should" be performed. That's acceptable. But I do resent being shuffled off to a customer service rep "to make sure we have all your information correct." This person checked that my address was correct and then proceeded to tell me about their upgrade program. In other word, a freaking sales pitch! Later that day I received a text message warning me about "failures" in the inspection of my car. I stumbled through a poorly navigated mobile app that wanted me to approve yet more repairs to my car. Today I get an email asking "how they did" which warns me of a survey headed my way. Enough with all this constant badgering. I dread taking my car into that place because I know I'll have to endure a barrage of "offers" to perform further service, trade in my car, and take a survey. Anybody know of a good Toyota mechanic is Boise?

I scheduled my Scion xB for a 20,000 service and an upgrade to the radio package. I was advised as to when the needed part would arrive in Boise. I was advised that both services could be done in one afternoon. I booked the events. I arrived on time. Kaden met me, got the needed paperwork and started the service. He directed me to the waiting area. Previously I had been told that the service would take two to three hours. I brought a book with me. Most of the waiting time I spent reading, though I may have gone to sleep for a bit. Around two and half hours later, Kaden walked me out to the xB. He demonstrated the new radio features. when I booked my appointment to have my light bulb replaced in the headlight, they didn't bother to look at the file to have the correct bulb in stock. After they took apart the mechanism, they then realized it and took another 1//2 hour to look around & call for the bulb. No one in the valley had it, so after 2 hours I was told they wouldn't have the bulb until next week. They have the car file open when you make the appointment, you'd think they'd take the time to read it before my appointment. There was 3 days from booking to the appointment time. Just look at the client'.file before the appointment to make sure you have the correct parts.

Several hours later we walked out with our car at BELOW PRICE WE WERE EXPECTING TO PAY. Newly, our salesperson, was very professional, friendly, not pushy at all, helpful. We were going to check out another dealer but found no reason to. Our first 5000 mile check-up went well. Took me right on time and returned the car 30 minutes earlier than expected, nicely washed and vacuumed I barely had time to eat my complimentary bag of popcorn. Again, friendly, efficient service. I received great service while buying a new 4Runner from Peterson Toyota. Justin Ramsey was my sales person and did an excellent job. No weird pressure, and when he found out that I wanted a Trail Premium that they didn't have in stock, he never wasted time trying to convince me otherwise. Justin found the vehicle I wanted in the right color and monitored its shipment progress from Japan to the lot in Boise. I received a couple of text updates every week, and when the 4Runner arrived (ahead of schedule), I was in, out and on my way in a couple of hours. Justin made sure the roof rack option I added was installed, helped me get connected to the entertainment/navigation and went through the basic off-road features. I certainly hope the service department is as good as the sales group!

The process was very long but it was all worth it. Everyone was nice, Tommy McBennet was great, I didn't feel pressured by him like I did at other dealers, and that made me feel much more comfortable with my purchase. One thing I didn't like was having different services being offered to me throughout the waiting process. I liked that different employees were helping us but after the third person it was too much. I have been a loyal customer having bought two vehicles from you including a brand new Sienna in March of this year. The service I received on our older Toyota Rav4 this past Friday, however, was less than satisfactory. We knew we needed new front brakes but we also decided to do the 90,000 mile service. This service is not mandatory but good to keep the car maintained. It is also very expensive at $740. We knew that going in. The issue we had was being called informing us that during the inspection the water pump was leaking and would be $500 to fix. Considering the fact we already were going to have a $940 day with brakes included, that was more than almost any family can afford. I said the only way that can happen is if we do not do the 90,000 mile service. Courtney said it was too late as they had already started. That is an issue that leads me to believe one of three things was going on here. 1. Courtney is not thinking of the customer at all and the fact this is an expensive day mostly due to an OPTIONAL service. Maybe she should have considered that most families have difficulty affording it and might want to see if the customer wants to trade the service for a repair or at least stop where they were at with the 90,000 mile service to minimize the cost. The point being the customer should have the choice. 2. Toyota deliberately delayed letting me know so that they could collect the service and get the repair. 3. Toyotas process is poor in that the inspection should happen PRIOR to the rest of the service as it is expensive and optional compared to a needed repair. Quite honestly, none of these possibilities are good for the customer. I did not get the water pump repair done as that was too much money for one day. I also will NOT give you the job once I do fix it as this was not good customer service and will not reward you with the business. Further, it is doubtful I will get any future service for the Rav4 with you and the Sienna once the first couple of years are done as well. I have been a loyal customer for 16 years getting all my services done at Peterson. You have managed to wipe away all those good years of service with this one incident. One last comment-I was supposed to get a survey that never arrived some 10 days later. I sent a specific e-mail on this as requested if I was not completely satisfied with my service and have heard nothing. Thus, I am responding publically here. Nice job service department on caring about the customer.

I am leasing a RAV4 as my business car from Peterson Toyota. A couple of weeks ago my tire inflation light went on, so I traveled to the dealership (I live 50 miles away) and they took it right in , aired the tires, washed the car and I was on my way. About a week later, that same light went on again and I suspected that I may have more of a problem than just needing air. So up I went again, without an appointment and they moved the car to the head of the line to fix it. Bobbi Jo was working with me and assured me we could get this done in about 40 minutes. Unfortunately for her, she then found out that the machine that repairs these problems was down, so they worked out another plan. Interestingly, I was working at a show that was another 20 miles the other direction from the dealership. So, with the spare on, I headed back to work knowing that Bobbi Jo was doing all she could to see about that machine getting fixed. Of course, this was on a Friday, and with the weekend ahead I was getting nervous. However, they did get the machine fixed and she asked me to come in at 7 pm on Friday to get the tire done and back on the car. So I did, and they did and I was on my way! Everyone was very helpful and courteous. they have excellent customer service at this dealership.

The appointment was for 7:30 A.M. and at exactly that times the overhead doors were opened and i drove in and Sara the service advisor was there waiting to help me. It took 5 minutes to get the paperwork and questions that I had taken care of. I was told that it woud take approximately 1 hour. in about 45 minutes, Sara located me in the waiting area and said my car was being washed and would be ready in a few minutes. Five minutes later she came and told me it was ready to go. I signed the paperwork and paid for the service and she walked me to my car and thanked me for bringing in my car for the servicing. My Toyota highlander 2012 is under warranty for 3 years and there was an oil leak on passenger side. I am not so good at understanding why? Went to Toyota and Justin (Toyota rep) was very helpful in figuring it out and fixed it. Minor valve seal. Also suggested cleaning of fuel system and change of oil filter. Got done There was also this tire deal available which was informed to me as Justin showed me how My car tires are wearing out. Didn't take the offer though. 60,000 mile maintenance service was done. Maintenance on vehicle was excellent except for two small problems. 1. The mechanic scratched part of the car near the hood. The way I found out, when I got home I opened the hood and found polishing compound spilled between the hood and the body of the car, the scratch had been buffed out. Mechanic probably never told the Service Adviser, because the Service Adviser never disclosed this fact to me after service was done. 2. Had a $10 off Coupon for oil change was not taken off bill. Please be a little more carefull in the future.

I ran four vehicles through maintenance in one day last week. Only two were scheduled. Both Sara and Billie Jo in the service department, made arrangements that benefited my schedule. The work was outstanding, the facilities are top notch. I will continue to purchase and maintain my vehicles through Peterson Toyota.

I couldn't have been happier with the sales process at Peterson's Toyota. Eric Muniz, my sales rep, was all of the above. I actually drove away feeling as though he and the Peterson's staff actually saved me money. I traded in a basically brand new Ford F150. Usually a major no-no. But Eric and the Buying Mgr Glen worked with me and the out come was a win win. Thanks again to Glen and Eric.

I brought in my 2012 Yukon for my first oil change. Nathan did a great job getting me right in and kept to the 1 hour that was scheduled. Peterson Toyota customer lounge was clean, comfortable, and provided coffee. I was offered a free car wash too! Nathan gave me a through report of the oil change. I appreciate his polite and professional manner.

Our son has stolen our Prius & when we got it back, he still had the FOB. Our insurance told us to get another FOB. I ordered the FOB & had an appointment on Saturday, March 21 to get everything reprogramed so the FOB our son has won't work if he came back to steal the car. When talking to Darin, he told me there were two recalls on my car, that they had the parts & asked if I wanted to get them done now since I was there. I agreed & waited for my vehicle. They did an excellent job & the wait was worth it. We don't have to worry about our son taking the car again & the recalls were replaced. We have moved a couple of times, so we didn't get the recall notices. We have always had a great experience with Peterson Toyota. We recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle, new or used.

My husband and I are pretty frugal, and were not happy to be in the situation of needing to purchase a newer vehicle. I suffer from a major dislike and distrust of car dealerships and salesman, so I was ready to be defensive and rude! Ha ha! We set up our financing ahead of time, did our homework on what we wanted: 2012 Toyota Camry SE, as loaded as possible, & started looking. Wes Rice from the Lexus side of the dealership worked with us and right from the start I felt comfortable and very non-threatened. My husband also felt this way, and we were very impressed with how down-to-earth he was. No fake plastic attitude! He stayed late to get us taken care of, and showed us what we were interested in, not other cars that were more expensive. Doing the paperwork with the finance guy was more like what I was used to....very pushy, acted like he'd known us forever, over-the-top really! When I told him we weren't interested in the extended warranty, it began. ....we were told how expensive repairs were going to be, and that everyone went w/the package he was pushing. Which he made sure to point out he didn't get a dime to sell to us..ya right! He got something I'm sure, with how hard he was pushing! After I asked him exact figures for what we'd be paying for the life of our loan, and said a firm NO, his whole demeanor changed. He got a bit insulting, and then finished our paperwork in a much quieter, cool-towards-us way. No more friends, no more jokes, he was done w/us! Ha ha! True colors! Oh well, we were still happy w/our purchase & feel we got a great deal. It was pretty late in the evening when we drove off in our awesome new-to-us car, so Wes made sure we knew to bring the car back in for a full detail job and gas tank top-off. When I brought the car back in for that, I had my 13 yr old son. Wes was just as professional and friendly as ever, set everything up for us, and showed us to the waiting area. My son said he felt like a rich kid because of the treatment we were getting, as he helped himself to hot chocolate and cookies! Highly recommend Peterson, and Wes Rice! Honest & straight-forward guy!!

My neighbor new I was interested in buying a truck and he advised me to see DAN WILLMORTH at Peterson Toyota of Boise. Excellent advise. Toyota charges $175.00 for detailing just the inside of vehicle. Even though this was a steep price, I figured I would be impressed with the outcome. However, I was extremely disappointed. There were several spots missed and lots of smear marks throughout. I previously owned a 2005 Honda Accord and paid less than $100.00 at another detail shop and the vehicle looked brand new when they were complete. Now I own a 2014 Toyota Highlander, paid $175.00 for Toyota to perform the services and ended up having to go back through and redo it myself. Bottom line - not worth the money and you can do a better job yourself.

I took my Tacoma in for regular service and, while they are always competent and friendly, this last visit compelled me to write a review. Nathan handled intake for the vehicle and he was knowledgeable and professional. There'd been some miscommunication to me on the last visit and he took the trouble to explain things to me AND to work out an extra level of support for me with his supervisor as an apology from the dealership for the confusion. You just don't see that level of customer service very often. I'm a loyal Peterson customer from now on.

My xB needed its 15,000 mile service. I called for an appointment. Took the auto to Peterson's. I was met by a friendly service agent, escorted into the service office, quickly helped through the process and went into the waiting area. Service takes time. I planned for the time, taking my iPad with me. Peterson's provided WiFi service. It was like sitting in my own office. I was consulted once on what I would like done with a filter. [Replace] Soon my xB was ready to run again. Peterson's had cleaned the xB as part of the service. The Scion xB should be the auto of choice for all with disabilities. Peterson's would be a great place to receive both sales assistance and service.

I took our Highlander to Peterson Toyota due to a recall notice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and also took care of a second recall that I was unaware of. I was impressed that they also checked on a number of other points as part of their service, but did not try to sell me a bunch of "extras". Everyone was courteous and friendly and I left happily a little sooner than expected.

It's quite obvious there's been a big push in the service department over the last couple of years. Justin Wagner went over everything and caught that an oil change was done that he had specifically noted not to do. Took it off the bill. The entire service department has been quite spiffed up in the last couple of years. I would highly recommend this dealership for service. I did rate quality of repairs as excellent, but there should be a spot for unknown, as I don't really know.

Kaden Moss, Service Consultant, has been helping me take care of my Camry for some time now. He has several exceptional attributes. He makes me very comfortable and confident that I am being treated fairly and competently. He is exceptionally thorough from the moment you meet him all the way to followup at the end of the job. When possible, he gives you alternatives to a repair that has saved me money. Kaden is by far the best service consultant I have experienced in my lifetime and I'm entering my senior years. Kaden Moss is a real keeper.

Assume quality of repairs and facilities are excellent as usual. Darin Ball's service and personality were excellent. A calm and confident young man who was like a friendly relative providing information regularly during my 3 hour service. Even offered a shuttle to take me where I needed to go if I wanted to break up the wait. I had chosen to catch up on phone calls and reading during the time I had and even squeezed in a nice walk around the car lot in the warm sunshine to preview the new models. It was an enjoyable experience and even included a couple of discounts courtesy of Darin. My thanks to Peterson Toyota and especially Darin. I'll ask for him again when I come in for brakes on my 06 Corolla.

I approached Peterson Toyota as a Costco customer wanting to buy a Toyota Highlander, either in Boise or back in the Monterey Bay (CA) area. I had the good fortune of working with Brit Messmann who guided me thru the Costco/Toyota process, expertly explained the models' features and benefits, and dealt with my questions and minor issues as they arose. THe Parts Department collaborated in the process, procuring and installing a trailer hitch, cargo cover and top rails when the vehicle arrived. The new vehicle was beautifully detailed and waiting when I arrived to handle the paperwork and go through some new-user training, again with Brit. The numbers were openly presented and didn't wander as the process unwound - no surprises. Very friendly, professional people. Easy to recommend to others.

Our salesperson was Tommy McBennett. Like most car buyers we had very specific needs for our next car. We told Tommy what we wanted and our spending range. The only time that he ever guided us towards a car outside of this was when we requested it. Tommy waited patiently while we muscled our car seats into each car. We ended up buying a new 2015 Toyota Corolla. Tommy helped us get an affordable price and made sure we were comfortable making the purchase. I had been looking for a very low miles used vehicle for several months. I found my now new- to-me Toyota RAV4 XLE on Cars.com. I sent an inquiry to the dealer and was very quickly contacted by Jeff. I am sorry to say I have always disliked car salesmen. They are pushy and some dishonest. What a relief to come to Peterson's and have Brit Messmann help us. What a delightful young man!!! He was very professional, honest, personable and we truly enjoyed our time with him and buying our car from him. I told him I will recommend him to any of my friends who want to purchase a car. We left there feeling really great about our car and having had such a great experience with Britt. The financial person was also very professional, explained everything but was not at all pushy. We had a great experience and even discussed the fact that next time we are in the market for a car we will come back to Peterson and ask for Brit. I had to go in and get an oil change but also had a recall to fix a computer glitch that my Camry was having. I was able to get all of it done in one shot. They knew exactly what to do and went to work on getting it fixed. I even received a free car wash along with my oil change. It was fast and easy and no hidden charges. I would recommend going to Toyota service center to get you car fixed or just a oil change.

I bought a new Corolla recently at Peterson Toyota. Tommy McBennett was the salesman and was very knowledgeable about all the Toyota products. He was patient and able to give us several good options to choose from as well as provide inputs on reliability ratings from Consumer Reports when considering used cars. I dealt with another dealer in Boise at the same time and the difference was clear. I would recommend working with Tommy. Overall the process went smoothly - only area of improvement is regarding the wait time we had while they got the paperwork done. I had to ask for updates a couple of times since nobody was keeping us updated on the status. Otherwise this first experience with Peterson was a good one - I'm yet to experience their customer service post purchase.

Peterson Toyota has provided excellent service for our Toyota vehicles for many years. We recently went to Peterson Toyota looking to replace our Camry which had 243,000 miles. We met Charlie Mignerey, sales specialist, and he showed us new cars that we were interested in. We drove three different models and decided on an Avalon. Charlie was very knowable concerning these vehicles. We really appreciated his patience and guideance. It was great working with him. We negotiated a reasonable price and purchased the car.

Before any review I must confess I HATE car dealers, dealerships, and anything to do with them. I will do anything I can to avoid them. Past experience has left me with the perception that the only interest they serve is their own bottom line. However, I had a recall notice that needed attention and could only be addressed through a dealership (notified by Toyota Corp.). John Neeser was assigned as my "Service Advisor." He was friendly and polite. He met me at the car in the intake garage (first kudos). We walked in to his station/desk and he entered my pertinent info. Then he asked me if I needed use of their free shuttle service. I expressed my surprise that this might be necessary as the recall noticed explained the process as "the first visit being a simple inspection verifying a qualifying problem and an opportunity for the service provider to order appropriate replacement parts (paraphrased)." {Which I had already personally checked and brought in photographs of qualifying part AND lot number... so I knew it shouldn't take more than a half hour to confirm.} (first complaint - reasonable expectations not set at time appointment was scheduled) John replied that the car "had to go through several areas" and could possibly be three to four hours." "However they might be able to repair the issue during this same visit as they may stock the required part (second kudos)." I didn't really understand the "multiple area" idea but decided to stay and wait (second complaint - again, failing to communicate process/purpose; appeared unnecessary layering and seeking opportunities to "find" add-ons). During my wait, John checked in with me 3 different times, to update me to the current status of my inspection (HUGE third kudos - this did much to relieve my paranoia). They DID have the part in stock and were able to affect the repair (fourth kudos). They also completed everything in less than two hours (fifth kudos/and another big one). John escorted me back out to my car and explained the additional maintenance concerns found during their inspection. He advised me of three issues that they found: tires, serpentine belt, and water pump. None of these were presented as "this has to be addressed now or you wheels are going to fall off" which I appreciated. Also, unknown to John, I had the car to my regular service provider two days earlier, and he advised me of the same three issues and advise to monitor going forward. However, my third complaint pertains to print-out packet that lists these same items as needing attention where both the water pump, and the serpentine belt were highlighted as "needing immediate replacement." This meets my expectations of unnecessarily coercive behavior from a dealership. And finally, on the same document, the quoted price of $431 for a $40 part (pumpatretail) + 40 minutes labor is not just excessive... it is abusive. Add to that the belt replacement of $194 for a <$30 part + 20 minutes labor WHICH could be combined with the pump replacement and eliminate altogether the second 20 minutes of labor. Why was this not offered as a discounted package? Why does this not cost $200 ($70 in parts, $130 for less than an hour of labor - that sounds more than fair to me)? Bottom line, Peterson Toyota quickly, politely, and efficiently took care of my recall warranty issue (ALL at Toyota's expense) and I am satisfied. I am not sure I feel any better about ANY dealership; but I do love my Toyotas (This is my third one now and when it is time to replace it; Toyota will be the first manufacturer I look to). Joel E.

My first car I bought from Edmark superstore... that experience was the typical high pressure, I'm not going to help you get a car unless it's one I want to sell. It was awful. Peterson Toyota was exceptional in every step of the way. From test drive to financing they were courteous, respectful, no pressure, and in my opinion went above and beyond in their overall customer service. I returned there recently to have my car serviced. I needed the normal overall inspection and fluid change, but I also needed some trim that had been knocked loose by interstate debris to be re-secured. They had no problem accomodating this request and there was no charge for the service.

What’s more, Peterson Toyota of Boise has been on the market for a very long time and remains the preferred dealership for buyers looking for used cars and trucks for sale.
