Yesterday I went to Platinum VW and it was Wonderful! Shalisa was great! She lead me to Joe Riccobone, who sat with me and helped me with the sale! He was great, so nice and soft spoken. He was not pushy at all! I have been to other dealerships, and it was so stressful! But as soon as I stepped in the door everyone made me feel comfortable! What a breath of fresh air! Next time you are in Hicksville and need a car, stop in to Platnum VW, they are Awesome! I also want to shout out Bill and Jim! I will be recommending everyone I know to them! I just entered into my third lease with Platinum VW. Joe, who has worked with me on all three of my leases, said that this is almost unheard of, but I have had such positive experiences at Platinum that going with them a third time was an easy decision. The dealership offers fair prices, and Joe has always quickly returned emails and phone calls. The service department accommodates late drop-offs, and it has always been easy to make an appointment. Jim, who has explained all of the technology features in my past two cars, is knowledgeable and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend Platinum VW to anyone looking for a new car. They truly try to make you feel like part of the Platinum family as they establish positive relationships with customers and work to accommodate your needs.

Obviously it is a business and they are not in the business of giving away their cars for free. With that said I have to say it's always a pleasant experience here as this was my 3rd time leading a Volkswagen . The product speaks for itself. The staff here are beyond helpful. My experience with VW sales Rep Darlene Ancona was the icing on the cake. She's an amazing sales rep! She really understands her customer. She took all the stress and wait time that normally goes into purchasing a new car and saved me so much time and hassle! I can't thank her enough. She turned it into a painless and pleasant experience. Bill Q from the finance deptartment also made me feel like I had some say in the final outcome of my monthly payments. Again they are in the business of making money on thier sales, but you go in knowing this and for those of you who love to haggle I'm sure you would get an even better deal than I did. But I'm still content with the deal I did make with Bill Q as it did not deter me from signing on the dotted line. Overall I would definitely recommend platinum Volkswagen and would tell anyone who is listening to make a B line for Darlene Ancona's desk. You will be glad you did.

Just leased my 2017 VW Passat R-Line thru Randy Grene at Platinum VW. Randy and the manager were very helpful in finding the car I wanted since they didnt have it in stock at their dealership. Within a matter of a few days the credit app was done, and they had the car at Platinum ready and waiting. I was in and out of the dealership in about a half hour (to both return my current VW lease, sign all the paperwork, have a gentleman go over all the features of my new car, get my keys and drive off the lot). The fastest and smoothest experience I could have asked for considering my husband just got a new truck (different make) and he took about 2 - 2 1/2 hours for same process!!!!!!!! Thanks again Randy and team!!!

I just had a 30,000 mile service done today and imagine my surprise when the person I was dealing with in the service department told me that it was not covered under my lease and asked if I had an extended service contract (which I didn't) that I would have to pay for the service. I have been leasing cars at this dealership since 2004 (when the dealer was Sovereign Volkswagen) all of the leases had service included. When I leased this car nothing was mentioned about a 20,000 mile service limit and I was not asked about an extended service contract. So my advice is let the buyer beware.I won't be leasing any more cars from this dealership.

Bad overall experience with manager Moses in sales and Howard in Leasing. I was convinced of an added cost I didn't need. It totaled an extra 500.00 for the term of the lease, when I rather of paid for my oil changes out of pocket. I had 7 VW's all together and this is the 1st from Platinum. Sunrise VW was terrific in a new 2016 Jetta sport lease last month. Said this was necessay the car has its warranty, just pay for the oil changes in the long long you save 300.00. Well they were happy with the add on , I called to have it removed and of COURSE, they cant. I will never purchase another VW and I will never recommend them, in fact I'll tell them not to go there, go to Sunrise. A very unhappy customer, Good Bye PLatinum and good buy VW. After 7 cars I know whats covered and whats not , here I thought from leasing man it was worth it after his speel. He even tried a car wash deal include. Please dont be a sucker like me.

As we approached the building, Manny was waiting to greet us, asking if we had any questions and letting us look around on our own for a while. Once we asked him for help, he was very thorough and knowledgeable in showing us the different models. Upon choosing a car, he gave us different lease options and worked with us to get the best lease, and he and the financer kept dropping the price without the need to haggle with them! Manny and the other gentleman we spoke to were very polite and genuine, and we did not at any point feel pressured into choosing a car. But the deals were terrific and the car (and the test drive) was incredible! I will definitely look at this dealership when my lease is up.

I have purchased 10 new vehicles from different dealerships and manufactures. I have never received the service, patience and knowledge that I did from Joe and the other members of Platinum VW. My car was delivered in perfect condition, not so regarding an Acura TL in 2006 or a Dodge Ram in 2004. This being my first auto with navigation Joe sat with me and went over each detail, sync my phone and taught me how to use each option in my 2016 GTI. Picked up my new 2016 Passat today. After meeting Doc the other day I knew I wanted to buy my car from him and Platinum VW. He was really attentive to my needs, patient, knowledgeable, and possessed a great sense of humor. He wasn't pushy or insistant, in fact he tried to talk me out of things I didn't really need. He had a very practical and relaxed approach. If your looking for the starched shirt-screw you around every corner guy, Doc isn't for you. As for the rest of the place from Paul, the sales manager, Jim, who explained everything, Howard the finance manager, to the owner whom I met on the way out, everything was hassle free. I rarely write these reviews but today you rarely find a mom and pop car dealer who treats you this way. There was no constant running to the counter after every question. Doc was a veteran car professional and I look to be a lifelong customer of his, and Platinum VW.

Manny was great. I was buying a certified car for my daughter who is a new driver. He was not pushy at all and made sure that my daughter was comfortable driving the car. If she was not he would say try another vehicle. It all worked out great. There was no hidden fees with the purchase. My car was actually worth $3500 more than what I paid. Also I have a 42 month warranty on the certified car. I will come and buy more in the future. The entire staff was also great and no one was pushy at all.

Due to their styling and quality, the current VW models sell themselves. The management and sales staff keep me coming back. Manny Lucas in particular who has handled 2 of the 3 cars I've leased from Platinum demonstrated excellent responsiveness to my needs. He did not make any recommendation on what he though I would want but rather mostly listened to what I came in for then got right to the meat of the deal. It was during this stage that I ended up with a model much better than the one I thought I would be happy with. The price difference was minimal with significant improvement in the features. Manny was key to all this and never pushed me in a direction to spending more money.

I have just leased my third Tiguan from Platinum , and have had a totally unreal , bizarre experience . The car was picked up on February 1 , and would not start after shopping at Levittown Stop 'n Shop on Wednesday , February 10 . The towing service was a nightmare , but dealing with Platinum's owner , Josh Weaver , was something out of a bad B movie . Initially , on 2/11, he tried to assure me that the car would be as good as new , but I remained fearful of the new push button ignition . On Friday , he insisted that nothing was wrong with the car and told me that he was not a psychologist so had no time to address my worries . Again , this is my third lease from this dealership . As a result of this conversation , and the total arrogance of Weaver , I contacted VW Customer Care immediately . VW contacted me today , and I was absolutely impressed by the professionalism and concern I encountered . However , Weaver called after hearing from VW headquarters and berated me for making him "look like a moron" by calling Customer Care , told me I was rude for having done so , and told me that as a result of my call never to enter his showroom again !!!! He then hung up on me . I immediately called back , asking to speak with the sales manager with whom I had dealt with on several occasions. Weaver took the call , demanded I apologize to him , complained that I was recording the conversation ( I was ) , and hung up again . His employees were obviously afraid of him . THIS IS HOW PLATINUM TREATS A RETURNING CUSTOMER WHOSE CAR WENT DEAD AFTER 10 DAYS . I am sure that anyone can do better than dealing with the likes of Josh Weaver. We choose a dealership out of trust in case things go wrong . One can hardly do worse than Platinum Volkswagen . By the way , take a good look at all of these reviews . Platinum makes it a point to look especially professional when there are no problems , but when life happens , this is not where you want to be . It has been alleged that customers are encouraged to write positive reviews , to get better service in return ; from other past customers I've networked with , the high rating ( similar to most Long Island dealerships ) is very suspect . In closing , and in fairness , the sales manager , Paul Garritano , is a perfect gentleman , but the bottom line is that every employee here works for a crude , self important ( admittedly wealthy ) , adolescent , Josh Weaver .

The sales experience was superb; each model and lease deal was gone over carefully, then an appontment was made at my convenience to drive several of the cars that I was interested in. The sales mgr. (Joe R) that I had been referred to was very patient and also very thorough in explaining how each car differed in performance and/or equipment during the test drive (s). When I came back to complete the transaction, the finance guy was pleasant and the transaction was fast and easy. I thought I got a very good deal and had as many choices as I needed to have. The dealership is clean, modern and well located. Service is by the Hicksville LIRR, which is incredibly convenient for me.

I live outside of NY and did not buy the vehicle from this dealership however I searched around for a good Mew York dealership that would ultimately take good care of all of her needs. The vehicle has a lot of bells and whistles that my mother was unfamiliar with so I searched all over Long Island for a good location via the phone. The moment I spoke to Doc, I knew that my mother would be in great hands!! Doc was extremely informative and kind over the phone. Beyond that he not only spoke with confidence he proved it with his actions and service when my mother arrived. My mom felt like a true VIP as Doc went over details of the vehicle and all of its functions. All I can say is Wow! This will be my third VW and I really have to say everything keeps getting better. I went there with a specific number in mind and I worked with Joe ( who is literally BEYOND exceptional). He went above and beyond for me. He worked with me and gave me exactly what I wanted, in fact, he actually did even BETTER than what I wanted ( when does that happen?!) Joe did exactly what he promised and more. NO LAST MINUTE SURPRISES! I walked out of there feeling like I was on cloud nine. The whole process was PAINLESS and smooth. Within an hour documents were signed, insurance was called, new plates on, and I walked out with a NEW car. They were so efficient. Be very wary if the car is not on the lot and they say they will locate a vehicle and then run into delays. I heard the same excuse for over 2 weeks. I also learned this dealership has a poor relationship with other VW dealerships in the area. So if Platinum says they cannot locate a vehicle for you, then check the main VW site for your build and verify the accuracy of their statement. This knowledge is firsthand based on experience with Platinum and another local VW dealership burned by Platinum numerous times. On the other side, Joe Riccobene and Howard try very hard to be reputable; they get 5-stars for being the ying (good) to Platinum's yang (bad). It's Platinum's process and relationships across their supply chain that stinks. The owner, Josh, needs to have things his way to generate win-win with his customers. That's not how it works. If the vehicle is in stock the odds of running afoul of Josh are pretty low. They'll take your deposit in 15 seconds, but closing on all refunds takes anywhere from 1 week to 2 months. I'll leave it at that.

Joe Riccobene was great. Did everything he promised, with no surprises. Made shopping for a new car a breeze. This is our third VW. First time we bought here, second time, the Sales person we talked to (from this dealership) did not want to work with us, so we bought elsewhere. We returned, however, because we were nearby. Lucky for us, the last guy was gone, and Joe took care of us! We will always return to this location for future purchases and ask for Joe R. If not, hopefully the other Dealers will learn from Joe, that when you have a loyal VW owner, you truly do everything you can to retain that relationship and work together so everyone feels good about the purchase.

Stay away from this dealer for service on your VW. Bought my 2013 VW Passat TDI from Teddy VW, but since i live in Hicksville i was getting the oil changes done from Platinum VW in Hicksville. Got an oil change done at 19560 miles. A month later sign came up to add AdBlue and i had only 1700 miles left to drive and get it taken care off. I called the service department and explained that the service was done at 19560 miles and the sign came up. I was told that i need to bring the car at the service center to get it checked as to why the sign has come up. i work 9 to 5, and they only take a appointments from 7:30 to 2 pm. i even asked then if i could drop it off at around 6 pm at the service center but i was told nobody would be there to take the car in. finally i had to take two hours off from work to get it done. Now, two months later at 25000 miles another sign has come up "Service Now". i called the service department today again and same story they told me that i have to bring my car in to get that sign reset. i called the dealership to speak to the owner of Platinum VW, since he wasn't there i requested for a call back. Someone by the Name "Josh" called back and introduced himself as the owner of the dealership. i explained him both the issues. He was way to arrogant. I requested him if i can get loaner for a day, since its his technician mistake that he did not reset the sign when the oil change was done. He answered me by saying that its not my technicians fault and by the way "Did you buy this car from us?". My answer was NO and right away he said the only thing i can do is to get you the best price on our Rental. I expressed to him that since its a mistake on your end why do i have to pay for rental. His answer to me was "Since you didn't buy the car from us, i don't have to entertain this nonsense and we can end the conversation right here". Even though they have been billing VW for those oil changes and have been getting reimbursed all along. He made it sound like as if he was Doing me a favor by doing the oil changes. What surprised me the most out this whole experience is the attitude of the Owner of this Dealership?I would strongly recommend TEDDY VW to everyone who is looking to purchase a VW. Their Sales staff is extremely accomodating. The only reason i didn't get the service done from them because they're about 23 miles away from my residence and Platinum VW is .8 Miles. But the push back i got from the Owner "Josh". i would never go back to them again.

I made an appointment to test drive a Passat and was extremely surprised to find that I was driving a 4 cylinder car. The pickup and the ride were excellent. Joe Riccobene took me on a test drive and explained the features of the car. All in all the dealership was a very pleasant and a low pressure experience. If I hadn't had a Passat for over 13 years, I probably would have bought the 2015. For me, it came down to needing a change. I appreciated Joe's knowledge and professionalism. This dealer is great as far as the sales department goes. Mr Riccobene is one of the best salesman I have ever dealt with and now a manager I think. Even the owner is great. But again, like any other dealer, the issue is getting to the service department. Do I want to get into specifics? It is the same thing as anywhere else. Either they try selling you what you dont need or their prices are way to the roof. Forget about going the extra mile, they tell you to take it with Volkswagen as they dont have nothing to do with it. I would recommend the owner buying all of his employees a book called "Raving fans" and he will see how things change.

I went in interested in a CPO Passat I saw on their website. Manny Lucas was my salesman, whom was very nice guy. I drove it & loved it. When I left I got a call from Moses asking me to come in he had good news. I went in the next day. All was working out smoothly! Thought it was too good to be true. But I did purchase the car & was very happy. But within the first two weeks the engine light came on ... So I brought it to service. They fixed it. But a few weeks later it happened again. The service dept is not that accomdating you have have a day off to take it in on their time. So here's where it goes sour. Not only is the engine light on but also the tire & air bag light are on. I only had it two months. Today I take it in , sitting there for three hours!! They tell me I need new brakes !! What?? But I just got the car!! I say no way I'm not paying $400! It should be under warranty. Few minutes later after wanting to talk to service manger , he said oh your brakes are fine. It was a mistake!!! Hmmm. So they replace part for engine. But air bags need to be fixed but yet they let me take the car home. So I leave & drive to the dealership to speak to the sales man. I start telling Moses's the situation & out of no where a man begins yelling at me & calling me a liar from across the room!! I looked at Moses & said who is that guy? The rude man yelling said "I'm the owner". He then proceeded to yell more & tell me to leave & don't come back !!! xxx!!! This was unbelievable to me!! What did I do wrong or do for this horrible person to yell at me to leave. His name is Josh & is supposedly the owner of this place. Shame on him. He is not well! I would never recommend that dealer ship because of him. He has not heard the last from me. After all , my air bags are not working on my CPO Passast!!!

I picked up my new Jetta SE on Tuesday and I have been raving about the super easy process and personalized customer service to all of my family, friends and co-workers ever since. This is my second purchase with Platinum Volkswagen. My first experience was with Joe (who has since been promoted - congrats Joe!) and this time around I had the pleasure of working with Danny. He listened to what I needed and wanted and over-delivered. I was able to fill out and send the financing application to Bill over the weekend and Danny and Joe worked out all the remaining details on Monday including contacting my car insurance company. I own 5 cars a bmw, Benz, Infiniti, Nissan and VW tiguan. out of all the cars the worst service ever experienced was at platnum VW. They lied to me saying they were looking at my car but the never did then told me a day later they had lost my keys. They didn't provide me with a loaner car and now are asking for my spare key to make a copy. How do I know they won't loose that key aswell. I get better service at the Nissan dealership. This is a terrible service department I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I needed get a car due to an accident. I went to Platinum VW in Westbury, NY. The salesman, "DOC", wrote down a price quote for the car I wanted. I then went to Bayside VW with the quote. They warned me that this was just a "tactic" to get a sale. When I returned to Platinum to close the deal, they did not honor the price written for the model discussed. They blamed the computer screen for the pricing error. BEWARE! Unfortunately it's still true - bring another person with you to negotiate! This experience at Platinum epitomized the reputation of the sleazy, dishonest car salesperson! I ended up at BAYSIDE VW where they provided OUTSTANDING service recovery and I was happy to give them my business. Sat. 11/15/14, I brought my '13 Beetle in for it's two year service. On my way to Platinum VW my tire pressure light came on which I mentioned to my Service Advisor. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I heard Joe Riccabone tell two customers that they had nails in their side wall and that the tires would need to be replaced. When Joe called me in to his office he told me that I also had a nail in the side wall and that the two plugs that are in my rear tires were leaking. The new tire would be $255.00. Having heard that I was now the third person with this problem, I declined the new tire. As I was waiting for them to put air in my tires, I heard a fourth person being told about a nail!!! (I didn't hear that the nail was in the side wall). I asked Joe how long he thought I had before I would have to add air, he said about 1 - 1 1/2 days. I had my tires checked out at a local mechanic and was told that there were no nails. Over two weeks after my appointment and there is no leak in my tire. I called VW Customer Care and did hear from a Regional Case Manager. He told me that he spoke to the Management at Platinum and that they "were sticking to their diagnosis"!! I will have to find a VW dealership that deals more honestly with their customers.

We couldn't believe it! The first dealership we visited, we made a purchase. That's how good Platinum VW is. There is nothing "sneaky" about this sales team. They are all true professionals. We worked with Phil Q, the new kid on the block. Phil was very knowledgeable (as we expect one to be), respectful and reassuring. No leisure suit with plastic comb in this guy's back pocket. So I was shopping around looking for a new car and was very specific in what i wanted. I tried other VW dealerships and felt they were pushy and uncomfortable. I was recommended to head over to Adrian at Platinum VW and I left buying a new car. Adrian wasn't pushy, was very knowledgeable about the cars and I felt comfortable asking him questions and explaining my concerns. We were able to work out the details and I am now in my new VW. It is the best car I have ever driven (coming from a gas guzzler my TDI is amazing). I wouldn't go anywhere else to get a VW.

I would not put much trust any used car warranty whether factory or dealer certified again. Almost everything has exclusions and the warranties they offer on their factory certified used cars are hard to obtain. I had to have a clutch repaired at 45 k and it was because of a defective part. I was treated like a total idiot because I insisted there was something wrong with the clutch which began making strange noises shortly after i purchased the car. They insisted on payment to repair the car as the VW rep was not due in for several days. This I agreed to. I insisted on their keeping the parts for a VW rep to examine and indeed it was a case of defective parts. That was in late March. I was told by VW I would be issued a full refund in a few weeks. That did not happen. It took repeated calls to national VW customer assistance and to the dealership to finally be issued a refund. I believe that had I not been so perseverant I would not have had my warranty honored or gotten them to issue a refund after almost FIVE months. BTW, its difficult to be directed to the appropriate person in management through their phone system. It was VW National which had failed to issue the dealership payment for their warranty work. . I fully believe that had I not kept on top of vw customers care this claim would still be in limbo. At no time however did the dealership call and say "we should have received payment by now. We'll look into it" I should say the service manager did a fine job of presenting the case to VW but after that there was a lack of communication. Ironically the dealership was able to reach me in minutes when I posted my initial critical review. To sum up the experience showed a lack of concern for a customer.

My lease was ending on my SUV,and I was looking for something smaller than what I had. There were many options to go with, the Tiguan being one of them. We had found a used Tiguan on CarFax, but it was at a different dealership, and it was owned by a previous smoker. My husband found another one at Platinum Volkswagon, and called. He was helped by a very nice woman, and asked her if she could run outside & smell the interior of the car. She did so without question! When we arrived, we were greeted warmly, by Krista Howard. Manny printed out comparisons between the cars I was choosing from and let me test drive a bunch of cars, making it much less stressful. He was unbelievably patient, friendly, and relaxed. My experience at Platinum Volkswagon in Hicksville began the moment my 2004 Toyota Corolla broke down right in front of the VW service Station. If it wasn't for Joe and Adrian I could still possibly be stranded on the side of the road.I called the dealership and Joe told me a man named Adrian would be coming to pick us up. Adrian came in a jetta to rescue us. On the way to the dealership he reassured me I am in good hands, told us about the cars and what specials they had. On the recommendation of my co worker I visited Platinum VW dealership located in Hicksville NY and from the moment I stepped in the front door I was greeted in a very friendly and professional manner by Mr. Adam Cevallos. Although I had never met Adam before he was very friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful throughout this process. I have had bad experiences in the past when purchasing a new car particularly when the sales consultant quoted a price and the next day when I picked up the car, the price increased due to whatever reason.. When I explained these past experiences to Adam he assured me this would not be the case at Platinum and that they are a family first business. Albeit I was skeptical based upon my prior experiences I am very happy to say that Adam was a man of his word. Once we decided to move forward with the VW Passat Adam gave me the different pricing options and the next day when I picked up the car, the price was exactly the same as quoted. Lastly, after I purchased the vehicle, Adam contacted the next day to ensure I was satisfied with my experience and the new vehicle. After going to Sunrise VW, where I bought the car, my 2013 Jetta was not riding well. The people there did not thoroughly investigate the problem and I was very unhappy. I brought it to Plantinum VW and had the totally opposite experience. John Grossman took care of me, as well as the Service Manager John. They were extremely nice, professional, and determined to find out what was happening with the car. They persisted in test riding it, including the manager John, until they could pinpoint the problem. They did this in 1 day and were able to diagnose and fix the problem. The other VW place did not take the time to do this....even the 2nd time I brought it in. After my experience at Sunrise VW, I thought that I would NEVER buy a VW again. Every single feature was explained to me and they even showed me how to connect my phone. My salesman Al T. was very personable while being professional at the same time. While I love dogs and I thought he was really cute, it should have not been there at the front desk or in the service store at all. I just purchased a New 2014 Jetta TDI with 247 miles at Platinum Volkswagen and I must say I've never experience such an awesome service from any car dealer I've ever dealt with in my 25 years of buying vehicles. My sales representative (Adam) was very informative and honest (yes! I said "honest"). When I tell you I'm one to believe that every other word a car salesperson speaks is a lie, that is exactly how I felt about Adam. However, to my shame and God's glory there still exist car dealers with the fear of God in them who hold to the old, old, old ways of doing thing with honor and respect. The director of finance (Bill) provided use with every possible service when dealing with our poor credit (to put it mildly) that I really could not believe we received the low interest rates we received. Bill explained everything from how they valued my trade-in to how he reached out to several banks in order to find me the best deal possible. To top it all off the owner and His son (Joshua) took the time to speak to my wife, myself, and kids while my children played with Rosie the cutest 19 month 4 lbs poodle. Jessica the administrative assistant basically answered many of our questions while juggling with my daughter, she went as far as to treating them with Italian food and a special screening of "The Little Mermaid". There were other representatives helping us but for the life of me I can't remember their names right now. All this to say that Platinum Volkswagen is a "Class Act" if I must quote myself when I personally expressed my gratitude to them, I told them "You are the .1% of car dealers, because 99.9% of car dealers just want to scam their customers". I look forward to continuously interacting with them for the duration of my ownership and beyond. Thank you guys for such a memorable experience!

Came in to look to lease a Tiguan SEL after going to another dealer, and we happened to be taken care of by Doc. Doc at first seemed to completely uninterested until we got into his office where he came across much more friendly and nice. Unfortunately, Doc kept rubbing us the wrong way. Here is the MAJOR problem we had. After printing out the paperwork (and signing it with his industry 'gold' signature), I told him that we got a price that was significantly less per month ($40), at the same price down, and go says to us "prove it and i'll match it". Are you kidding me... You basically just said to both our faces, I don't care, this is what you'll pay if you want to get a car from here. First off, you could have attempted to negotiate with us instead of treating us like children who've never bought a car before (we've purchased 5 with fantastic deals compared to other people who've had the same car) in our under 35 years on this earth. But no, just prove it and i'll match it, so not worth out time. Long story short, we went to a total of FOUR dealers who gave us better prices right off the bat with no need to prove anything, and my sister now leases her Tiguan SEL for $65 less per month compared to someone who wouldn't even budge on their price without proof of it from another deal. When not talking business with Doc seems like a great friendly straight-shooting guy, but i'll never step foot in this dealership again.

It was a run-of-the-mill service. I brought the car in for the 90 day check and to have the oil changed. The car only has 1074 miles on it, but it has been three months so I had it done. I am aware that VW suggests the oil to be changed at 10k, though that seems a bit extreeme. Though if the car were a lease I may not be so inclined to be cautious. I will say, the bill came to ~$116 and I was a bit suprised that an oil change would be so expensive... Overall, I wasn't "wowed" but maybe more important, is I wasn't disappointed.

I was escorted immediatly into the service advisers office. He listended to me about a problem that the driver was experiencing. He gave me a real estimare of 90 minutes to complete the service. He called me on my cell phone to advise me that the servcie was completed. Great service

I just purchased a 2010 Tiguan for my wife, my second car in 2 years. I always deal with Joe Ricobenne as he is an honest man and pleasure to deal with. Krista Howard was excellent. She was very informative and did not not pressure us or rush us in any way, as I have had happen in the past at other dealers. She took us through the features of each car as we stepped up through the Tiguan product line and explained the benefits of each enhancement. She did a great job of convincing us of the value of their warranty and maintenance program. She was able to give us a trade in value on the spot and arranged for an immediate test drive. They did not have the color and feature combo in stock so she jumped on her computer and personally committed to having what we wanted delivered from another dealer in 24 to 48 hours. Their entire staff was great. Jim Frye stood in the pouring rain holding an umbrella over my head when I picked up the car and took me through my purchase. Once inside the car, he explained each feature and agreed to let me send my wife by for her own private "training". Overall this was a truly great and fun buying experience and I would recommend their team to friends and family without hesitation.

Platinum VW in Hicksville has been the source of a lot of different cars in my family for the past 10-15 years. When it was time for me to trade in my 2010 Jetta, I decided to go with them again. Even though I did not see any familiar faces, the current management team is amazing. My sales guy David was wonderful and got me exactly what I wanted . The financial manger Ali has a great personality and makes you feel like you are talking to a friend instead of a sales man. And it all wouldn't be possible without the general manger Moses. My family has been going to Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville for over 10 years. It was time for my 2010 Jetta to be turned in so VW in Hicksville was my first stop. Although there were no familiar faces, the general manager Moses made me feel right at home and extremely comfortable. Moses has this way about his personality that just draws you in. He is not in it for the sales or commision, he truley is in it for the satisfaction and happiness of the customer. My sales rep David was also new to Platinum VW, but was very kind and professional. He talked to me like a friend, not a pushy salesman. Than my last stop to getting my 2nd VW Jetta was to dot all my I's and cross all my T's with Ali, the financial manager. Ali was wonderful and made me feel that much more special about signing the dotted line. Mosas, David and Ali are now my VW boys, I will continue to go back to them and refer everyone to go see them. They truly are the nicest guys and run a fantastic business.

Car was damaged by service department. Service manager John Moutopoulos refused to correct all of the damages sustained by technician. Owner Josh Lever unprofessionally hanging up the phone on me after me yelling at him. This dealership is the worst Volkswagen dealership I have ever seen. Very dishonest, poor quality work. Scratches done to my car and service manager telling me it was already there. Do not go there and do not do business with Platinum or else you will be very sorry. If you don't care about your car, go there!!!! Complaint filed with VW, Better Business Bureau & Dept of Consumer affairs.

Have been shopping to replace a car coming off lease, came in to look at an Eos David showed me a car in stock, i gave him all the information he needed along with what i wanted to spend, he called me back that evening and left a voicemail saying that it would be no problem, that he would be in at 12 PM in order to make a deal. I came in the very next day as he requested to find out he was not there, the manager turned me over to another salesman and they gave me a completely different price which was not even close to what i was told. I would never shop at this dealership again.

About a year ago we purchased a used 2004 Passat from an owner who only had it dealer serviced. I decided to continue with dealer servicing and after a recommendation from a friend selected Platinum for service. This is my son's first car and we wanted to be certain the car was well maintained. After our first visit to Platinum's service department we were impressed and our initial experience was excellent.My sons car was in for an oil change and a few other items and because we were considering replacing my wife's car we stopped by the Platinum showroom for a look at the new Passat. We were promptly greeted by Doreen who throughly explained the car and its amenities to my wife and I and then we sat down to discuss options and pricing. The terms of the sale and lease prices were clear and both she and Eric were upfront and professional at all times. After a short discussion and it was getting close to closing time for the service department, Doreen offered to have our 2004 Passat delivered to the showroom. We needed a little time to discuss our options, thanked her and went to pick up our car from service with every intention of returning to conclude our discussion. We did return shortly thereafter and concluded with leasing a 2013 Passat that evening, which I picked up this morning. Everything Doreen and Eric said was delivered on, there was no high pressure tactics, only straight discussion and negotiation both are true professionals. The delivery time was set for 11 AM and everything was ready when I arrived, the vehicle and its options were throughly explained, the lease finance paperwork ready and we completed the transaction quickly.It is clear to me that this dealer has a winning formula, my experience with their professional service team, was the reason I considered them for new sales. I just leased a 2013 VW Tiguan from Platinum VW. The salesman, David Lopez, was extremely knowledgeable of the Tiguan. He described all of the features from bumper to bumper, and provided a compreshensive test drive which led me to lease a Tiguan the same day. Also, Platinum located the specific Tiguan I wanted from their inventory. Platinum prepped the Tiguan and I was able to take delivery the same day as the test drive. Platinum also provided a very comprehensive familiarization session with all of the Tiguan's features including Navgation, Bluetooth, and all vehicle controls. The Team at Platinum Volkswagen was terrific. They never pressured us or tried to sell things to us that we did not want or felt that we did not need at the time. They let us take our time looking around. Krista Howard answered any and all questions that we had in a calm and professional manner. Krista took us on a test drive and showed us the various features on the car. David Quintero also explained in a professional and easy to understand way what options were available to us and why he felt they were important and a good price. We never felt, at any time, either with Krista or David, that we were being taken advantage of. It was truly hassle free.On the day that we picked up the car, they had Jim Fry there to show us how everything worked in the car. He also patiently answered all of our questions. Jim gave us his business card and stated that we can call him any time if we have questions about some of the cars functions or if we "screw up" the settings, for example the Bluetooth phone connection.Their service did not end once we drove the car off the lot. The next day, we heard a noise in the car and brought it to the service department where Dee Chervenie took care of us. She arranged for a ride home and a ride back to pick up the car. Dee was bubbly, helpful and we never felt intimidated when we asked a question.The service department is also great! They also follow up with calls to make sure that we were satisfied and did not have any questions or complaints.For us, however, the greatest thing that put Krista and Platinum Volkswagen above all other car dealers is that she contacted us after Super Storm Sandy and asked if we needed anything or if they could do anything for us. They even stated that we could stop by to charge our phones and have a cup of coffee. At the time we did not have electricity in our home and their caring and concern was deeply appreciated. What makes this even more special is that they contacted us when we had owned the car over 6 weeks. That truly puts them, in our eyes, a mile above all the rest. We werent just a customer, they really do care!!You are in good hands at Platinum Volkswagen. If we ever need another car that is the first place where we will go!

I dont really like dealers as most people are treated really bad. My problem is with the service department. The first service was somehow ok, I asked if they could wash the car and when I picked it up it looked like they just dumped water on it. The second maintenance service that i just had on 2/2013 I was not pleased. During the snow storm one my wipers stopped working and the one that worked scratched the bad one. the person who attended me said that it was my fault and the manager said the same thing and was not under warranty, they were going to fix it but no replace it. I had to agree because she was very firm so I wasn't going to get anywhere. Personally, I think this should have been covered. When I picked up the car, I was told to just get the paperwork and I was done. The paperwork had some items checked that will need attention but no explanation on what will be needed. And again, nobody bother to explain what was done and what would be needed in the near future. Honestly i dont really trust service departments as well but I think toyota service department treats you better. I was really thinking of getting a CPO VW for my wife as well but I think I will try someplace else.

Service Consultant Joanne Marsala presented with great professionalism and proved to be very persuasive. She influenced my decision to purchase a 2013 VW Passat. Joanne is friendly and easy to converse with. She patiently addressed my numerous inquiries and assisted me with exploring my trade-in options. As I approached the sales department, I witnessed Krista opening the door with a huge smile and interest in working with me in her eyes. Krista too was patient, friendly, calm and did not rush me. During financial consulation with David Q. he provided a thorough explanation of the documents and offers available to me. I had shipped a car i purchased up to New York, and when my daughter drove it, she found it had major problems with the car. I had purchased a warrenty in Florida, but that was not the problem. I only had a short period of time in New York and had to leave no later than Friday in order to drive back with one of my other cars, for my husband to get back to work. I called Platinum Volkswagen out of the Blue, they never met me before, did not know who I was, but when Dee Chervenie answered the phone and heard my problem, she told me not to worry bring the car to her. When i brought the car to her the wait was with no doubt 5 min. if not less. I was she new I was upset put kept me calm and assured me she would do her best and within 10 min she was able to tell me that three of my problems were covered right off the top still covered under Volkswagen, The 4th Problem still covered under Volkswagen, and then best part was that my car would be ready in 24 hours so i could leave in time. She called my cell every step of the way to keep me updated. She let me know all the other work the used car dealer did not do and gave me the bad parts to the car and when i drove that car out of the dealership it was driving like it was brand new. Dee Chervenie, treated me as if I was no a customer but her family member and that is what I really like about my experience with Platinum. I have never gone to any dealership and have been treated with this type of kindness and care by anyone. My sincere thanks to you all.

I leased my first two cars from Bayside VW....Platinum VW is by far and away superior to Bayside VW. A.J., my sales associate/internet sales manager, introduced himself (as did the owner) and his main goal was to meet my needs and not push a car on me. I had certain specific needs and he provided me with multiple options. Even towards the end I changed my mind to switch to a better model and A.J. made the price work. Very convenient and helpful. Highly recommended because the sales staff is concerned with what the buyer wants and what works for the buyer's life, including finding a happy medium between price and model features. When looking for a car, I only want the staff to work to meet my needs, and this certainly happened at Platinum.

I purchased the 2009 Volkeswagon CC via the internet. AJ followed up through-out the whole process and assisted with directions through Downtown NY-coming from VA, not know the area well. Was able to walked in go over the vehicle's bells and whistles and by the time that was complete, was able to walk in with the Loan Processor-Dave and sign away and was able to complete the whole transaction in under a hour. Great experience and the best rate found via the internet for a 600 mile radius-6000.00 less than everybody else. Other than not being aware that the vehicle is actually a Coupe-new genre-and it being a little lower than what I prefer, the CC is awesome and completely love the vehicle! If someone doesn't have a lot of time to be out and about looking for a vehicle, I would definately refer them to try experiencing purchasing a vehicle via internet, mine was a pleasure, rather than a dred!Thank you to everyone that was involved!Ryan Kiwak

The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the differences between the two vehicles I was considering (jetta and passat, and TDI vs. gasoline). They were patient with my many questions and many visits to the showroom. They continued to follow up even after the sale was made, should any additional questions or concerns arise. When I picked up the vehicle, it was clean and I was given a thorough review of the car's features. I forgot the name of the woman who went over the car with me, and I didn't think I saw it on the list given above, but she should be credited too.I would 100% recommend Platinum Volkswagen to everyone!

He also did not give the sterotype high pressure sales pitch that I have been given by so many others. When I picked up the vihicle David was very helpful by explaining all of the details of the agreement and answering and questions I had. There was also a third gentelman who showed me all the functions of the car who was also very helpful. Unfortnatly, I did not get his name. Eveyone made me feel very at ease. AFter being promised last Wednesday my new 2009 certified preowned VW Eos car would be in pristine condition inside and out by Doc P and AJ Fiore I went to pick up my car today and there was a dent on the front grill, nicks and scratches all over the car and the inside seats were dirty. When I approached the GM with my concerns, he was rude, disrespectful, unreasonable and argumentative like he was doing me a favor taking my hard earned $22000 check. All in front of my 12 year old daughter. I was told TODAY that since I got such a good deal the didn't do any body work on this car. WHAT??? Seriously, if I had known that I wouldn't have purchased the car and or tried for a lower price. He even admitted to replace the grill was $1500. I was buying the same car I lost in the hurricane. I had purchased it from another local dealer that gave me the car in mint condition. When i asked for the manager he said "I'm two above that lady" and walked away.I am not an ignorant person. I have a Masters Degree, work two part time teaching jobs and I am a single mother. I was very excited to pick up my car today. Living in Long Beach, I am a victim of Hurrican Sandy and had to replace my car as well as the basement of my new home. I am still in the state of shock and disbelief that I was treated this way and this GM really threw me out of the dealership. I am so upset. This is not over.One thing is for sure, never ever will I purchase a VW again and I am making sure everyone I know (and there are plenty of people loooking for cars after Sandy) not to buy VW.

What a great car buying experience. Having Purchased many other brands in the past including Lexus, Ford, Mazda, Honda & Chrysler this was the BEST one of the lot. Friendly, informative sales person, Rocio Burgos, was attentive when needed and no pressure! Negotiating final price was quick, unstressful. Including the time spent looking at the car in the showroom, taking a test drive and returning to pick up the vehicle, in and out in less that 90 minutes. What a great expereince. I lost my first Jetta after the hurricane - which I bought from them and immediately contacted Josh to get a new one - no thought about it!After losing my second car the following day after the storm, Josh made sure I had a loaner car for as long as I needed it during the insurance process - no charge - saved my Thanksgiving trip to the folks!My salesperson Juan was extraordinarily knowledgeable, helpful and kind. I purchased a VW TDI from Platinum back in 2009 and it was a enjoyable transaction. My wife enjoyed the seating comfort of the VW TDI and after traveling the USA in it for 3 years mentioned that she wanted a new car. We went back to Platinum and looked at both new cars and CPO cars for approx 2 hours. My wife wanted a GTI for the seats that are used on that model. They had a CPO 2011 GTI 4 door that we brought and my wife could not be happier. They spend about 45 minutes showing her how everything worked and i was quite impressed. The car was clean and serviced upon delivery.

They still have my car and I will need to take them to court. My wife's VW was hit while parked. The young driver was just learning how to drive. An accident report was prepared by local police. Thinking the damage was minimal we accepted the father of the driver's offer to repair the car. My wife got repair estimates and Platinum VWs was the lowest. The father of the new driver wrote a check out to Platinum VW for the amount listed on the repair estimate. My wife presented the Accident Report and check at the very beginning of the process. She was told to keep the check and pay with it once the car was repaired. Well, the car took a longer period of time to repair then promised. And, there was additional damage discovered. And, a mysterious oil leak developed. And a belt needed to be changed The "lowest bid" was no longer low. When I went to pick up the car, Platinum VW would no longer accept the check. Even with a police report that contained the verified driver's information, as well as the registered owner of the other car. When I pointed out that Platinum VW should have pointed this out when the check was first presented to them, they said they were sorry. But they would not release the car unless I paid for the damage. The Service Manager wanted a copy of the other's Drivers License. When I pointed out that there is a police accident report containing that information and more, verified by a police officer, he did not care. So bedsides the additional damage they found, and the oil leak, and the belt, Platinum wanted me to pay for the original damage on top of it. No money, no car. I walked home.I then contacted John Morgan. I had to call him again and he stated that he could not help me.

To say my experience with Platinum VW in Hicksville , NY was terrible would be an understatement. If you are looking for a used car - RUN FAST and RUN FAR. But even if you are looking for a new car, just ask yourself - if Platinum would stand behind their attorneys on used car that had issues, what makes you think they wouldnt do that if you had any issues on a new car? I bought a 2009 Beetle convertible from salesman Doc Perin, that was a CPO - certified pre-owned vehicle - with only 19k in mileage on it. Less than ONE-HOUR into my ownership, the front headlight fell out of the car and could have caused a serious accident as the light got wedged underneath the car that was behind me. I had to take off work the next day to make sure there weren't any other problems with the Beetle, but there were - the remaining headlight wasn't working (manual or daytime running light), a windshield wiper blade was defective and I had problems with the switch that controls the convertible top. This was all within the first 24-hours. The owner, Josh Lever, said he felt terrible, but all he wanted to do was fix the car and kept directing me to his service manager. There was a point where I was willing to keep the car as long as he was willing to work with me and back his product by adding to my short two-year extended warranty. Again, he offered nothing in terms of an additional extended warranty and directed me to his service manager. I was finally forced to pick up the car, after they lawyered up on me with a threatening letter. After I picked my car up I quickly figured out they had put additional test drive miles on it and left my gas tank near empty. In addition, on the day I finally picked up the car, they intimated I was lying about the whereabouts of a second key that I left at the dealership. Upon calling me back, there was no apology, just an admission that they had found the extra key. There is a reason they are called used car dealers. Every bad thing you've ever heard about them was true in my experience and as it turns out Lemon Laws don't protect the public as much as you think. I would NEVER use this dealership nor buy VW again as my efforts to come to an acceptable solution with this dealership or VW themselves were turned on deaf ears.

I went to VW knowing exactly what i wanted, down to the extras and color. I also had a 2 week deadline. Doc and VW were able to locate the exact car i needed, have it shipped, and ready for me in time. Doc was very patient in trying to find a loan for me (I have THE worst credit ever). I'm usually not very fond of car salesman but Doc and everyone at VW were very friendly and easy to deal with. I am going to recommend VW, and more importantly, this dealership, to everyone that I know. I absolutely love my new Jetta TDI and am glad i found such an amazing dealership to purchase it from.

I purchased the car from out of town and they made an exception for me by having the car inspected on the spot so that I could drive it away. I expected the financing experience to be intimidating, but it was an easy process. I always felt as though I was being treated fairly and given the best offer while keeping my interests in mind. I initited an internet inquiry for a VW Passat SE with Navigationa nd Sunroof. AJ Fiore was a pleasure to deal with. He was honest, straightforward and did not take me on 'wild goose chases.' He offered his price the first time and after I tried to negotiate it down, he welcomed me to check out other dealerships. I did and after talking to 3 other dealerships, I found that the best I could do was within a few dollars of what AJ offered me to begin with. True to my word to him, I went back to him and made the deal for the car from him. We have worked otu the whole deal by phone, email and text and the car is now waiting for me to pick up. AJ assured me it would take less than an hour to sign the papers and drive off from the dealership. My experience with AJ to date has been so good that I actually believe he means what he says. I just have a gut feeling about this person from the first time I talked with him and I think it is turning out true. He is honest and upfront. I would love all the dealers to be like this. I strongly encourage all to deal with AJ if you are even thinking of getting a VW car. I made a strange request to AJ about lending me a 'car bow' so I can use that to surprise a family member. I will write a follow up review after my visit to the dealership.

I just purchased a new Jetta from Platinum. I had a great experience and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Volkswagen. The place is clean with a friendly environment and helpful workers. My salesman was AJ Fiore. We did most of our communicating over the phone. He was very helpful and really went the extra mile to help me. He was never pushy and did not try to sneak any added costs to the vehicle. He is honest and friendly. AJ really took out the stress that usually comes with buying a car. He was patient with all my questions and never gave the impression that he was too busy to help.The finance person I worked with was Eric Outcalt. He too was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Eric took the time to explain all my options and made sure I understood them all. He also took his time and made sure I didn't feel rushed. The owner, Josh Lever also came by and made sure that everything went smoothly and that I was well taken care of. Before leaving, they were sure to show us all the details of the car, even small things like how to change the time and select your preset radio stations. I would definitely recommend platinum VW.

I now have a Jetta Sportswagen TDI which I was told (by another dealer) that I couldn't get at the price I wanted but I DID. AJ Flore is an honest honorable man who said and did what he would do and did it, well done AJ. Best of all I did it over the phone and then did a test drive. The car is and was immaculate when I picked it up. Get this I was not allowed to drive away till the options were explained to me, that's service. The sales room was clean and modern with an atmosphere of quite professionalism and I saw lots of clientele buying. The service manager and the sales manager never pressured me to get extras but did explain completely my questions, what a fantastic dealership. When all was finalized I was escorted to the car by AJ and Debbie but stopped by Josh the senior salesperson and asked if all was well (it was not another opportunity to sell something) the place is genuinely friendly and personal. I had sent massive amounts of time researching my next vehicle from hybrids to diesels only Platinum gave me what I needed, a great car and great service.

My original intention was to purchase a different car from a different dealership. My feeling was that I would sacrifice service for price, so I went to a dealer whom instructed me that I should come back for a test drive because I "needed to have an appointment". Thankfully, that made my decision to go with a Volkswagen much easier. I went to Platinum Volkswagen based on a recommendation from a family member and was extremely pleased with the experience. Al made the car buying experience painless by taking all my requirements into consideration; he went above and beyond to assist me when my original insurance company did not adequately do its job. David sat with me and explained every facet of financing to a degree that made me completely comfortable with the price of my car and what I was getting. Debbie went over every feature inside my car so that I would get the most out of the driving experience. Josh, the owner of Platinum VW, was friendly and in touch with all of the customers. You could tell that Dave and Al both were honest and they were not looking to just get us to buy more than we had to offer just so that they could make a great amount of money. I loved that about them. Dave definitely knew what he was talking about when it came to offering us tires. He gave both the pros and the cons and he also did not seem too pushy. Platinum VW provides a no pressure atmosphere which is very welcoming. My sales advisor Krista was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to work out a good deal on the vehicle leased (New 2012 Tiguan). Upon vehicle orientation/delivery it was determined that the sunroof was not working properly. I was assured that this could be easily fixed and the service department would be able to give us an immediate appointment to fix the issue and even provide a loaner car. My sales advisor was kind enough to follow up the next day and ensure that I was able to make an appoinment - a true testament to the emphasis on customer satisfaction. When I dropped off the car I also mentioned that the transmission seemed to shift rather quickly. The service department not only fixed the sunroof issue but also reprogrammed the transmission to provided a better ride quality! I would definitely recommend Platinum VW to others as they take service seriously and stand behind their products. Josh (owner) and his team have a winning formula!

Initially my wife and I were going to purchase another brand, however we decided to visit Platinum first due to us living around the corner. We were treated professionally and with respect from the moment we walked in. Our first visit was late Sunday evening, just a few minutes before close. I know from being in retail that shopping right before close can lead to a bad experience (the staff can sometimes be over eager to leave). This was not the case - Joe Riccobene took the time to ask us qualifying questions in order to determine our needs and wants, and made it clear that he will work within our budget. By this point the dealership was closed, so we agreed to come back the next day and test drive the vehicle. The Jetta drove very smoothly; Joe made sure to talk about the features of the vehicle, but also he let me enjoy the ride with some silence (to let me hear the engine/transmission). We looked at some numbers after the test drive, and I expressed a few concerns about my budget. I came back later that evening with my wife to talk about the price some more. I did not have to negotiate - Joe advocated for me, and got me to a price I felt more comfortable with. We filled out the credit application, and decided to move forward with the purchase. Joe worked with my insurance company to get me insured, and followed up with me each step of the way. I just drove the car off the lot this morning, and am very pleased. I could not have better things to say with everyone at the dealership - The owner took a few minutes for small talk, and to make sure that I was comfortable, another gentleman took the time to make my wife a cup of coffee while we waited, and I was helped by a friendly woman who showed me the ins and outs of the smaller points of the vehicle before driving off the lot.I did not initially see myself in a VW, however, the patience, courtesy, and professionalism of the team at Platinum made me more than happy to spend my money locally at a dealership that is committed to their customer base. Platinum Volkswagen changed my water pump two times before the car hit 3,600 miles, the last time being in April of 2012. The reason was a whistling noise. The last time they changed it, I drove off, only to see coolant leaking, so I promptly drove back and was told by the service manager that "that is normal, we overfill it with coolant", which I accepted as truth and drove off.A few months later, I take the car in for it's 10k service, and a leak is found on one of the hoses that was worked on by Platinum Volkswagen. The leak was contained to the belly pan and never made it to my garage floor or else I'd have found it much sooner. This car was brand new and only worked on by Platinum Volkswagen, so unless it is just a coincidence that a hose/part that they worked on wend bad, I'd have to say it gives me a good enough reason to be unsatisfied with their workmanship. As far as their customer service, all my experiences while dealing with the service department were negative. I was told that calling there 15 minutes before they close up shop means there is no one left that can tell me the status of my car. I needed a new tire and they installed and let me drive off with the wrong model tire that didn't match my other 3 tires. Luckily I spotted that as soon as I got home and was able to go back and have it swapped again. Joann Marsala, when I asked her why my car wasn't ready, gave me 3 different/conflicting stories during one phone conversation and eventually when I called her out on the lies, hung up the telephone on me.The manager tried to make things right, but in the end result, my new car is leaking coolant and all the negative experiences earned them 1 star on this site. I'd recommend anyone to take their vehicle to another dealership.

We had gone to another dealership and didn't like the way we were treated so off we went to Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville. Within moments of entering, we were warmly welcomed and patiently listened to as we explained our needs. We were then paired up with DOC and this is where the ordinary became the extraordinary. DOC is an amazing man, I couldn't believe he was a car salesman ... Doc actually cares genuinely about people (and animals) and you are not just a "dollar" sign to him. Doc gave us all the time we needed to decide, he answered a gazillion questions with a great sense of humor. John bought the Golf TDI on that day (saturday) and we picked it up on wednesday. Totally a stress free, pleasurable, professional experience from start to finish.And everyone in that dealership was friendly and helpful !!! A few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to trade in my 2006 Jetta for a newer one and just had to have a red one. Fortunately for me, my internet search lead me to Platinum VW, where they had the exact car I was looking for. Agreed on a price for a new car when it was time to look at my trade in the manager insulted me with what he was offering and would not even negotiate the trade in value, went to another volkwagon dealer the same day got the same price on the same exact new car and they gave me 2 thousand more for my trade in from the start.

I bought a used Passat wagon from a good friend who was leaving for Germany and had trouble transferring the CPO warranty from his name to mine and was dealing with VW of America tryng to straighten it out. I called Platinum VW and was transferred to Joanne Marsala who grabbed the bull by the horns and helped me straighten out the situation in a very professional manner. I then brought in the car, where they repaired, inspected, and returned to me my car in A-1 condition. Thank you Platinum VW and Joanne. We had been looking for Per-owned VW Golf/Rabbit from dealers and private sellers in the past weeks until we walked into Platinum VW sales center. We went there to see a CPO VW Rabbit listed on their website and Juan Caguiat was our sales Consultant who showed us the car and went trough the whole purchasing process with us. Juan is very friendly and pleasant to work with. We didn't feel any pressure from him pushing us to buy the car, but instead he listened to our needs and helped us to work on our budget. David Quintero, the General Sales Manager, was the one we negotiated the price with. He is also very friendly and, most of all, he is reasonable to give room to negotiate and he actually gave us a very good deal! So, it turned out we decided to buy the car the same day after we saw the car and we went next day to drive the white Rabbit home. It's a pre-owned car, but the condition is great, and plus it comes with a full 2-year/24K warranty from VW. (we purchased an extra 6-year warranty, as Robert, the finance manager, gave us a good deal). Also, when we picked up the car, we met Jim who gave us a thorough walkthrough of car, which made us feel so great that the people worked there really cared about their customers. In short, we're very pleased to recommend Platinum VW to you guys who are having trouble to find a decent car. It is a trustworthy dealer!

Top notch dealership! My daughter was treated professionally by Joe Riccobene. He spent time with her and went over everything she wanted to know about the Jetta and offered his time when she needed to come back with my husband. Other dealerships were rude to my daughter, not giving her any assistance and told her that they needed to "make money" and just tossed her the keys to test drive and walked away. Would be back in a heartbeat!

I called for service and was given an appointment the next day, and was greeted and moved along quickly upon arrival. John Grossman, a Service Advisor, is always helpful, honest, and just overall great to deal with. One of the best parts about going to Platinum is that they do keep the customer in mind, and do their best to get you in and out quickly, with status updates along the way. Going to Platinum is just another reminder about why I love owning a VW! I was interested in purchasing a new Jetta for my daughter and inadvertently filled out an online request with one of the referral services. I was contacted, by email and telephone, by four different dealers in the tri-state area, one of whom was Frank Messina, internet sales manager of Platinum Volkswagan. I had previously obtained dealer invoice, cost, MSRP & best price numbers from truecar.com, so I was already an informed buyer. My first, and last (as it turns out) impression of Frank Messina was that he was friendly, honest, knowledgeable and straight-forward. His initial offer was a good price, but not the best. Another dealer (in White Plains) gave me a better price and I was ready to make the deal. I contacted Frank, as a courtesy, to let him know that I was buying the car elsewhere. To my surprise, he worked with the General Manager and the owner to make an offer that was significantly below dealer cost...$17,000 plus tax and DMV. I then contacted the White Plains dealer who assured me that the Platinum price was unrealistic and only a ploy to get me in the door ( he wouldn't even split the difference...a matter of a few hundred dollars, to save me the trip from Westchester to Hicksville); that they would increase the price when I arrived with hidden fees. My instincts told me to trust Frank and I am glad that I did. When I arrived at the Platinum volkswagan dealer, I met Frank and Josh, the owner, and found that the offer was true; the paperwork was done, the insurance was in place and they did the DMV work right at the dealer...WOW! They had offered 0.9% financing, over the phone, that I thought was a teaser rate...wrong again; I was given the 0.9% financing!!!!! We drove away with the car within hours!!! The car is costing me $291.00/month for 66 months. WHAT A DEAL!!!!!!. You may not get exactly the same price from them, but you will get the best deal available...guaranteed!! I highly recommed Platinum Volkswagen and Frank Messina. They are honest, honest, HONEST!

I recently purchased a diesel VW from Platinum VW, and I have to admit that Nick Drasby is the most knowledgeable sales consultant I have ever met at a dealership. It is always nice to bump into an automobile enthusiast, but to find one at a car dealership is quite uncommon.Nick is the only sales person at a dealership ever to actually enlighten me on a fact or specification about a car that I did not already know. I was aware that the Golf was manufactured in Europe and the Jetta Sedan was assembled for our market in Mexico. I wrongly assumed that the Jetta Sportwagen was also made in Mexico for us, when in fact the Jetta Sportwagen for the U.S. market is made in Germany and usually dubbed a Golf Estate in other markets rather than as a Jetta. This makes a difference to interior quality as the Mexican made Jetta is aimed at a lower price point. Incidentally, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the Mexican made Jetta sedan, and it is a good value if you are looking for a less expensive vehicle.Suffice it to say that Nick Drasby is also very personable and he showed courage during my father's very exciting test drives (I try to take it easy on the sales staff by driving as I would for my grandmother). He kept in contact and helped me navigate the various mine fields of vehicle purchasing, and we concluded a very fair and honest deal on the right vehicle for my needs. Highly recommended.

Purchasing a car can be tedious sometimes. When I walked into Platinum Volkswagon, I was greeted by Juan Caguiat. Juan addressed the reason for my visit and proceeded to ask the necessary questions to find out which VW model I was most interested in. I knew I wanted a VW Jetta and Juan suggested that we take the car for a test drive to be certain. In my opinion, when searching for a car the hardest part will likely be the financing and negotiating of it. Juan was able to take the payment that I was looking for to make the deal possible. In addition to Juan, I was also greeted by management as well as the dealership owner who addressed any questions that I might have had. I happened to stop at Platinum VW on my way home from an event not near my home. I was casually approached by my Salesman Nick. We spent quite some time discussing the two vehicles I was considering. He spent the time willingly, knowing that I was not going to make a decision that day. He was/is extremely knowledgeable, and offered a wealth of information. Although there are two VW dealers very close to my home, I traveled 30 miles, each way, to Platinum VW two more times in the following week before deciding on the right car for me. During my visits, Nick never pressured me, and truly helped me choose the best car to fit my and my family's needs, a 2012 Passat TDI SEL Premium. I would absolutely recommend this dealer to my friends and family. BTW, I'm enjoying an average of 36 MPG!!

This was the best experience I have ever had with a car dealership. The salesmen were very cordial and heppful. Any questions that I had they answered clearly. From the moment I walked I felt that they were genuinely trying to help me find a car rather than just trying to convince me to buy the most expensive vehicle in the lot. Arnie was exceptional, I felt like he had my best interest at heart, I told him exactly what I needed and that I wanted to leave with a car today and everyone in the dealership made sure of it. By the time all of the paperwork was complete Jim had the car ready to go. Every iota was explained to me and I could not have asked for anything more. I had a fabulous experience and I will recommend the dealership to my family and friends. I plan on ONLY driving VW from Platinum!

We recently purchased a Passat and Jetta 2012 from Juan Caguiat. From start to finish, the dealership rank and file were friendly and extremely accommodating. Juan and his manager, Richard Radio made the car buying experience enjoyable and painless. They went the extra mile to get me into the car I want. Even Joshua the owner of the dealership made a point to make us feel welcomed. When it came to signing on the dotted line, Robert, the Finance manager was a welcome sight. To top it off, Jim gave us a complete and careful orientation of the vehicles before driving them off the lot. All in all, there wasn't a hint of sales pressure, just people who simply want to make the car buying experience nothing short of fun.

My wife and I were nearing the end of our lease. We went into Platinum in December of 2011, with all honesty we were asked to come back when our lease was nearing its end. When we came back and sat with Doc it was like sitting with a family member, he did what no other dealer sales representitive did, he asked us what we wanted in a car and what would we care to spend per month. The best part was he actually listened. There were no gimmicks, no "I'll go ask my manager for a better price" B.S. lines. It was honsety from the start. By the time we were done I was so impressed with the dealership that it changed the way I thought of typical car sales. My wife had to pick the car up on her own and from the moment she walked in the door she was treated like a celebrity from the finance department to the tech that showed her all about the car who spent an hour with her. I was DREADING going back to a dealership when my husband and I needed to buy two new cars. But from the very moment that we walked in, it was the most pleasurable, no-pressure, fun, and simply easy experience that both my husband and I have ever had! I don't write reviews. I just don't have the time and frankly, I feel that the service industry is just not what it used to be. But at Platinum Volkswagen, with Damian Lopez, Josh, and everyone there, it was special. There is nothing else I can compare it to because it is one of a kind. Really. These people really care. Damian was not only brilliant, interesting, soft spoken, but he also did not put any pressure and even the owner at one point said, don't make a decision today, think about it, whether you do this or not, it's okay, you have to be comfortable with this. Wow, I have never had such a great experience at a dealer in my life. Came in expecting games & all, but to my surprise there were none. We worked with Joe & Dave, but everyone else in this dealership was friendly nice and cool. Got an awesome deal and full review and lesson of all our Passat had to offer us. The transaction went so quick & smooth it's almost unbelievable. I am giving Platinum a high rating due to the excellent service and care that was provided to myself and my Mother while working on a deal on a 2012 Passat. These sales people are not your regular car salesmen, you just have to go to understand. I would recommend Joe and manager Dave, but the whole team is great. It's only been about a week since we purchased the VW Passat, I am thrilled. They set up an appointment for a follow up check and have called to check how everything is working out.I will post again after any service visits as well.Almost forgot, they have great coffee too.

Doc, my sales rep, was absolutely amazing. He treated me like a queen. He anticipated all of my needs and exceeded my expectations. I leased my first VW Jetta 4 years ago and loved it to death. When my lease was up last month, I decided to return to Platinum Volkswagon. I let Doc know my price range and my preferences. He gave me exactly what I wanted and at a price I can afford. Doc made me feel completely at ease and made every step of the process incredibly easy. I love my new Jetta. As far as customer service goes, I truely believe that Doc and Platinum Volkswagon have set a standard that would be impossible to surpass!

I had visited two other Volkswagen dealers. One told me I was very difficult to work with. The other said I could order the car I wanted if I picked out three colors. They both told me that the V.6 was not available and I should really focus on the smaller engine. They made the mistake of focusing on what would be "age appropriate" for me even after I told them that I had previously owned a Mustang and currently owned a Thunderbird. My salesman, Nicholas Drasby, after speaking with me for a while and discussing options and explaining the workings of the lesser engine realized that he had a very specific need to qualify. He then told me he would order the car I wanted without hesitation. He said it would take time as the car had to be built. He then went and searched out the current available V.6 Passats and located one in another county. The office then went into full gear to obtain that car for me. I cannot tell you how professional, courteous and fine this office is. I would highly recommend Nick and is fellow Platinum Volkswagen co-worker to everyone. I love my car!

I was in the market for a new car. So a co-worker of mine suggested that I should buy a VW Jetta because she loves the Volkswagon Jetta and only buys VW. She was telling me all about its features and comfort. Thinking back in the past my family owned Volkswagons, plus I passed my driving road test in a Volkswagon Rabbit. So I checked out a few dealerships on the internet based on price and mileage for a certified pre owned car and a new car. So I found a car and worth looking at from Platnumn Volkswagon. I Drove there and looked and went inside to look for a salesman. As I was looking at the 2012 Jetta in the show room Juan Caguiat greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. I had showed him the ad of a 2011 Jetta from Platnumn website. We went to look at the car. Juan was very knowledgeable about the automobile and answered my questions. He then suggested to me to take a look at the 2012 Passat and jetta because of the type of trim I was asking for. Then I asked about financing and I wasn't certain which car I should buy. Between the 3 cars and their expertise, Juan and his manager were working out the finance that was economically feasible for me. For 3 hours Juan, his manager and I finally came to an agreement that fitted my own needs. In the end I bought the car that I originally looked at the beginning. The experience was enjoyable with no pressure, frustrations or sale gimmicks from Juan, the manager or the financier. The quality of service I received was served with professionalism and experience.

After a terrible experience at Sunrise Volkswagen in Lynbrook NY, we were immediately greeted by the friendly owner, Josh, who then immediately referred us to one of his top salespeople, Doc. Doc went out of his way to please us and to immediately tend to our needs regarding the purchase of a VW Jetta. The car my daughter wanted was brought to us within ten minutes for a test drive. The price of the car was fair and the money given to us for our trade-in was also fair. Financing was excellent at 0.9% by VW and the initial paperwork was done. We were in and out in about an hour. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a VW on Long Island.

I did not feel any stress when shopping with Platinum Volkswagon. The sales department is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly to me not pushy for me to buy this car. They gave me time to make my decision and did not pressure me for the sale. The dealership itself was very clean and organized. All the salesman at Platinum Volkswagen were very friendly and accomodating. They were not pushy like most of the other dealerships I had worked with. They made me feel comfortable and not intimidated. Leo Sandoval was my salesman. He was wonderful and very friendly. He helped me along with every question and comment I had. He did not get frustrated at all and was very patient with me along the entire process. The entire staff from my great salesman Damian, to the manager, finance guy and everyone else I met, were everything that other dealers are not. They know every detail about their cars, they are courteous, extremely respectful, and all together just a classy bunch of guys. I would never go anywhere else for a car and won't let anyone in my family and friends go anywhere else for a car before visiting Platnium, even if they are not shopping for a V.W.I am loving my Pessat and grateful to Damian for his awesome service. I've recently come off a long run of poor dealer experiences, so I must say it was pleasant to finally have an excellent one! Recently scheduled a service appointment with Platinum VW for a recall on my 2011 Volkswagen Golf TDI. When I checked in with JoAnne the service writer, she noted that the 20K service had not been performed by the dealer that had just sold me the vehicle (according to VW's dealer intranet). This was puzzling, since the vehicle was at 20K when I purchased it, and was Certified Pre-Owned (we surmise that either the selling dealership had either not logged the 20K service, or simply never completed it. Sloppy either way.). In any event, VW covers the service and Platinum offered to do it again, just to be sure that it was done. The service and recall fix were completed in about 90 minutes. The facility was clean and offered wi-fi so I was able to work while I waited, which was great. About 5 miles after leaving Platinum, the "low tire pressure" warning came on. I called JoAnne and she asked me to turn around. Mike the Service Manager personally greeted me, apologized for the inconvenience and had the problem immediately fixed (evidently, when tires are rotated, the tire system needs to be reset). Despite the hitch, the staff was helpful, efficient and pleasant. I was so pleased that I asked them to mount a new tire that I was planing to have done at a tire and lube shop to save money. To my surprise, this customer-pay service was cheaper than the tire and lube shop!

The customer service at Platinum Volkswagen is exceptional. Ron Grella welcomed me right away and answered all my questions/concerns about purchasing a 2012 Jetta. I traded in my 2009 Jetta before the lease was up and was worried that the price would be too high. Ron worked hard to get me a great, affordable price. It was an unexpectedly quick process and I was able to pick my new car up just a week later. Before I stepped into Platinum Volkswagen, I was worried that I would have to go to numerous dealerships to find he best deal. That wasn't the case thanks to Ron Grella and I'll be returning to Platinum Volkswagen for future vehicle purchases.

My experience at Platinum was unbelievably great. In fact, it was so good that I wanted to commend the dealership as soon as I got home (I have only had the new car for 2 hours now). From the moment I inquired about a particular model via email right up through the actual signing of the paperwork, every step of the way my contact there (Damian Lopez) was on top of it. The model I was looking for was VERY tough to find but Damian was able to get me every possible option/scenario available to locate the vehicle I wanted. In the end, I went with the one that they had right there in inventory but he thoroughly offered to get me the one I wanted. His honesty and straightforward personality was obvious from the start. Yup, an honest car guy! They exist (here)! The whole way through, he was up front and easy...VERY easy to work with. He even returned every single one of my emails within an hour or two (yes, even when I'd email him 4+ times a day). I know this seems overly gushing with praise, but I cannot even begin to tell you how my whole experience with them pretty much shattered the stereotypically agonizing and stressful new car buying experience. In fact, the ONLY stress I encountered was my own doing (I kept expecting something to happen but nothing bad ever did!). The last new car I purchased was a Toyota in Brooklyn and THAT was agonizing and the people I dealt with were absolutely rude and deceptive. On the other hand EVERYone at Platinum, from (Jim?) the man who showed me how the car worked through to Rob the Finance Manager...EVERYone was nice, efficient and honest. I could go on, but I think you get it. If I had to buy another car I would hands-down buy from these guys.

I must have called ten dealerships looking for the car I thought I wanted. When I got Damian Lopez of Platinum VW on the phone - the first thing I said to him was "I'm having such a hard time finding anyone who wants to take my money!" He was the first salesperson I spoke with that leveled with my about why I couldn't find the car I wanted without waiting for five months on a special order. He was also the first person I spoke to that got me to think about a different car than the one I had my eye on. As it turns out, the car I did purchase is far better for me than the one I wanted to buy. In short, I spent the same amount of money I would have spent on a car that fits 100% of my family's needs, as opposed to about 25% had I special ordered and waited for the other car. I'd say that's a knowledgeable salesperson who had my best interests as his goal I'd also say that this was a fantastic experience because of it. Further, the dealership's finance department went above and beyond, working to get us the best financing possible, and even stayed open late in order to facilitate delivery of our new car to us after-hours. In short, from the first phone call until we drove our new car off the lot, the experience was exceptional. As I told our salesperson after the deal had been inked, "I've had a harder time buying gum at a convenience store than I did buying this car." I'm a customer for life.

Platinum VW overprices on many of their vehicles and and lies to customers about the price that they get the car for (gave me a ridiculous price and said "this is what we pay for this car". I've met with several dealers and Platinum VW was by far the worst.

I went to Platinum VW for my service because I was tired of going out of my way to my usual dealer. The customer service was exceptional. They were able to accomidate me immediately despite me having no prior business or appointment. After a routine inspection and some minor recall adjustments my car is running better than ever. I was expecting (since I hadn't gotten my car serviced in some time) that I would have a pretty heafty bill. That was not the case, the price I got was way under what I expected! The customer service rep informed me that I will be needing new tires soon.I am very satisfied with Plantium and will be purchasing four new tires from them in future as well as any future automobile purchases. I highly recommend them!! They are promt, extremely helpful, and friendly!!

I went to several dealerships and was very frustrated and annoyed. I finally ended up at Platinum Volkswagon on 10/13/11 after calling and speaking to Damian. Damian immediately sensed my frustration and calmed me down (VERY HARD). I have a very difficult type A personality and I am anxious by nature. I prefer straight talk and straight answers. THIS is what I got at Platinum Volkswagon. Never did I feel pressured, it was more of a conversation about my wants and needs in terms of a car. EVERYONE was friendly warm and inviting. I actually enjoyed my car shopping. Damian knew the particular car I was interested in well and was able to answer all my questions. He never showed frustration and was VERY patient. I settled the deal and was very happy. EVERYTHING was fair. When I came to get my car he was still there making sure everything was fine. Even Bob was really patient and made sure I understood how to work the radio, bluetooth, ect. VERY nice guy. I can't tell you how pleased I am. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. Absolutely hands down the best experience that I have ever had with VW. I have been leasing cars for years with VW and I have never been treated like royalty until I met Doc from Platinum. There was a smile on my face from when I was greeted by him up until the minute I left. He went above and beyond the call of duty. His friendly & charming personality won me over as well as the great deal and service! Buying a car can be one of the most stressful times. Doc made my experience fun and stress free. He is genuine and honest and down to earth. To be honest, words cannot explain how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work with him. I would be a repeat customer at this location and I would certinaly tell anyone and everyone to go to Platinum! They are lucky to have a man like Doc working there. Thank you : )

From the moment i first called the dealership and spoke with al up until i drove off the lot with my new car, he ensured that my transaction was easy and smooth. He even came in on his day off when my car was being delivered to ensure that i was satisfied with my purchase, and that everything went the way it was supposed to. my calls were answered by al promptly, and when he was not available due to being with another customer, he returned my calls timely. Al is a professional. he never spoke badly about other dealerships nor other salesmen. he just was happy doing his job making me happy. undoubtedly he does the same thing with many other customers since he seemed to have his own following anytime i was in the dealership. Im very happy to have found a car salesman who was the complete opposite of any stereotype the job title carries. I highly recommend Al.

The sales person we worked with (Joe Riccobene) was exceptionally professional, consultative, competent, courteous, and friendly. He kept us appropriately informed of our options and responsibilities throughout the process in a thoroughly consultative manner. The finance manager (Robert Sedrish) and sales guy (Jim Fry) who walked us through the details of the new car, once purchased, were also very competent, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.The overall appearance and general mood of the dealership was professional, friendly, and attractive. The recent hurricane -- and my insurance company's response to it --presented a bit of a challenge to timely completion of the transaction, but the Platinum team helped us navigate that effectively and conveniently.All in all, a very satisfactory transaction. This dealership was great. From when we walked in everyone greated us in a friendly maner, to the salesman who went over all the different vehicles we were interested in to the owner coming over to introduce himself, to the finance guys, who were so helpful. They actually called after we bought the vehicle and LOWERED the interest rate. When has a car dealer done that? I have been buying cars for 30 years and have never had such a easy, pleasant experience. Even when we went to pick the car up the service manager went over every option the car had. I have bought Mercedes and Infinity in the past and they have never done that. I would highly reccomend this dealership and Volkswagen. This is the first one that I bought and how nice to find out that it has covered maintence for three years. I will go back to this dealer when my Prius needs to be replaced.

This is our 3rd volkswagen jetta in our family and the first time we have dealt with Doc. He made our experience absolutly wonderful with his sincerity and expertise. I am so sorry that Doc didnt sell me my last two vws From the beginning. He had given us all our realistic options for our affordability. Doc and Josh made buying my first car a great experience. Their costumer service and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. When I walked into the dealer I saw the red Jetta and fell in love with it! Doc helped my mother and me realize that the red Jetta was the car for me. When I made my final decision, Doc printed out a large yellow smiley face and wrote "I belong to Sylvana" and put it on the windshield of the car in the showroom for everyone to see, that made me feel really special. As a surprise, Doc and Josh had pinstripes painted on to match the interior of the car. When i picked up the car, Doc had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the dashboard for me, along with Platinum VW hats, bags, coffee mugs and teeshirts, not to mention the full tank of gas. Jim was also a big help, he showed me every little detail there is to know, from the interior to the exterior. While driving my moms CC before i got my Jetta, I had some questions about the CD player, he was able to show me exactly how to use it in the Jetta. This is my moms favorite dealership and she's a fancy girl and they spoil her, she's had three cars from there and this is our fourth, they treat us really well there. Platinum Volkswagen is now my favorite dealership too.

I purchased a certified pre-owned Passat from this dealer. The only great part about my experience with them, in hind site, was the actual price I paid. Maybe it supposed to be this way but I was hoping that buying a CPO car would somewhat resemble the new car buying experience, at least when it comes to having the car washed and vacuumed prior to delivery. The dealer did a very mediocre job at that. In addition, except for the marketing materials no other documents actually showed any proof that the car was certified and carried the warranty. I had to call a different VW dealer service department to find out if the car was indeed under warranty by supplying the VIN number. My multiple attempts to obtain some written proof from the dealer itself have been in vain so far. I have a feeling that once they received my payment in full for the car they lost any desire to follow up on any outstanding customer inquiries from me including my overpayment of the title and registration fees. To sum everything up, my customer experience with Platinum Volkswagen was average at best.

i loved their friendly staff and great working people. i was unsure about getting my new car but after i talked to their very knowledgeable staff told me more about the car i was sold. i also enjoyed having a talk with damian about stuff lik he had the time to talk and answer our questions in full detail and they gave amazing information about their cars like they even as the staff really enjoyed working there and the cars they sell they would have as their own. when i came in to get the car we were fully informed about everything about our new car. We are very happy with everyone there and will happily got there again to buy another car and reccomend it to any of the people we know who want to buy a vw car.

This was the greatest experience I ever had buying a car. Damian, the sales manager, went to great lengths to find the right car for me and explained everything I needed to know about my new car. Josh, the store manager, did everything in his power to make sure I got the best buyback for my previous vehicle and made everything go very smoothly. This was my second experience dealing with Platinum VW as my youngest daughter bought a new Jetta from them this past summer and it was a refreshing experience. Professional, courteous, and truly interested staff made the entire experience enjoyable. With that being said, when it came time for me to purchase my next vehicle my daughter said "why don't you go see Al at Platinum" which is exactly what it did. Relationships The most important aspect in a sale. Platinum Volkswagen knows this to the tee and has a great salesman in DOC. I originally purchased my first Passat back in 1996 under the previous owner: Sovereign. Giving up my car that grew up with me for 15 years was a tough thing to do; and DOC put up with my indecisions, lack of choice, and my changing mind throughout the whole process. Including making himself available on days off. He made every effort and paid attention to all the details until I settled on my final choice, one that he really knew I would like, the 2011 Jetta SE with a two-toned interior. To my surprise on the day of the pick-up, DOC had gone the extra mile: Flowers to match the car color, VW bag, VW tee-shirts, etc. etc. I am so happy I did a lease as I will be seeing much more of the whole team at Platinum Volkswagen!! It is important to note that I was also working with another, closer VW dealer to my home never again; I am going to be a Platinum VW Client for all my future cars and recommend them strongly!!

I was probably an easy sale because I knew exactly what I wanted, was searching based on availability and price, and I didn't push too hard on price; but I was very pleased with my interaction with Joe Riccobene and Platinum Volkswagen. He was thorough, efficient, frank, and a pleasure to do business with.In my search by phone I talked to more than 15 dealers, so I gained an appreciation for how good or bad the interaction can be. There were dealers who refused to give me anything in writing, or wanted me to pay them first before they told me what they could sell me, or claimed they had what I was looking for when they actually were trying to get it from another dealer, or acted hostile when I asked for fax documentation of what they were selling me before I made a down-payment.In contrast, when I reached Joe at Platinum, it was quick and professional. I told him what I was looking for, he told me what he had in inbound inventory that matched up, I asked for documentation and he faxed it right over, I told him my target price and we negotiated a deal right away. I had a signed buyer's order within a few hours of my first phone call. When I arrived at the dealership to take delivery, everything went smoothly and all the staff I met was friendly and helpful.

Nobody ever forgets the day they get their first car, and I know that I will always remember this special day in my life thanks to Doc. He so generously work with my parents to get me a blue Tiguan- my dream car! I honestly didn't expect that my parents would get me one... but they did! The craziest and most amazing part of the whole experience was that they surprised me with it. I had no idea! When Doc told me that the blue Tiguan in the garage that I was staring at was my first car, I was shocked, amazed, and so happy! The car was decorated with a balloon, VW apparel, and an adorable stuffed animal called "Doc" all courtesy of Doc. Without Doc's help, the moment would not have been nearly as special. He really put in an extra effort to make me and my family happy, and I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for his help. Went to Platinum Volkswagen to purchase a 2011 Jetta and after leaving another dealer who refused to have my car ready until the middle of next week. My father called Platinum Volkswagen and spoke to Dave who assured my father that no only could he get the exact car i wanted, that he would start prepping the car and have it ready for me by the time i reached the dealer. When i arrived there the staff was very friendly and helpful and my mother and i were treated so nicely. They took car of all my paperwork and i had my car within in an half hour, which was very fast but they also made sure to show me the car and all the features. They even cleaned my old license plates. And while i went over the particulars, David and Diana kept my mother company and were so friendly towards her. Over at Platinum they made buying a car as sea less and less stressful as possible and made me feel like there only customer, an experience that made me an a very happy customer.

Lou is one of the most accomodating salesmen I have ever dealt with. Besides making every effort to make a very easy purchase, he is an extremely pleasant person to do with business with. Our 2009 Jetta was purchased for my daughter as her 17th birthday present and she could not have been more thrilled with it and the experience of being treated as an "adult" by Lou. As for the service department, we have used them twice, once for an oil change and the second time for a recall. Both visits were done quickly and efficiently with very easy to deal with personnel.

Why did I choose Platinum VW for my latest Volkswagen lease? I can answer that in three letters: DOC. Robert (Doc) Perin has personally handled my Volkswagen leases for more than a decade. He's a top-notch saleman who always goes out of his way to put me in the car I want. That's why even though I live in Brooklyn, I bypass Volkswagen dealers in Brooklyn and Queens to come back to Hicksville lease after lease because its such a pleasure doing business with Doc. This time around, Doc assigned Jim Fry to explain to me the inner workings of the navigation system, Bluetooth phone and Sirius satellite radio my 2011 Jetta SEL came equipped with. Jim was patient and thorough, at a time when both of those qualities were very much needed. I was searching all over for a pre-owned white VW Jetta. I looked at several places and either the car was in bad shape, or the Millage was too high for the price they wanted the car for. Then I decided to try the Platinum Volkswagen dealership just several minutes from where I live. From the moment I walked in, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. They had exactly what I wanted (a 2008 white VW Jetta), pluss much more. Dave, our sales manager showed us exactly what jetta's they had and all the features that came with them. I finally found my white Jetta which also came with leather heated seats, a sunroof, an iPod adapter, and much more fun toys. Dave worked out the price with my parents and it was a bit higher then they wanted to spend but he also threw in an additional 2 year extended bumper-bumper warrantee for practically nothing. Also, the fact that everyone was so helpful and caring made my parents not mind paying a little more. It's like when you go to a nice restraunt you are going to pay more for a better quality rather then friendly's. I have had the car now for 3-4 weeks and I have no complaints. There is a minor scratch on the windsheild, so I called them today and they said to bring it over whenever is convenient for me and they can fix it. My uncle happens to be a well known sales manager at Mazda in Queens and he said he would even recommend Platinum Volkswagen due to their understanding, kindness, and organization. I would deffinately recommend Platinum Volkswagen to anyone interested in buying a Volkswagen!!!

On January 26th, just before another huge snowstorm was about to hit Long Island, and in the middle of a rainstorm, my windshield wipers stopped working. I called and asked if I could come in on an emergency basis as my 2009 VW Passat is my only car. I was told to come right in even though it was already 3 p. I was welcomed by John Grossman, a service consultant who reassured me that my problem would be resolved. John also noticed that my inspection was overdue by one month. My wipers began to work as soon as the car was taken into the garage. It would have been very easy for John to have pretended to fix a motor that wasn't damaged. He didn't do this; he simply said, "I can't fix something that's not broken." John was extremely kind and patient with me. I was extremely nervous when I came in and he calmed me down. He even called me on my cell phone when I (in a panic) couldn't find it. I had come in once before to this service center ( it was over a year ago) with a similar emergency: my engine light was on but my temperature gauge was fine. I was going on a trip the next day and was afraid to use the car. John allowed me to come in without an appointment and he looked at my car, topped off the fluids and sent me on my way. I had always gone to the Lynbrook dealership for service but I will change now to Hicksville as I was made to feel so welcome and so comfortable. I do hope you will commend John for a wonderful job. My experience was similar to those of the other reviewers. Joe Riccobene and the other sales and serrvice people have been very professional. I was referred to this dealer through the Consumer Reports build-and-buy service. Another dealer farther away offered a price that was, taking into account the distance, roughly equal from my point of view, but Platinum seemed more professional, which is why I bought from them. Since their business costs on Long Island would have been higher than those of the other dealer, they were offering a price with what was probably a slightly lower profit margin for them. The only reason why I rated them a 4 on customer service is that when, after the sale, I asked a different sales person whether the VW automatic-door-lock system could be turned off by the service department, he said it would void the warranty, which is nonsensical (and not true). I went to directly the service department, which did it.

Hi, stopped in to look at a used convertible new beetle saw the limited edition 2010 and it was all over loved the car, loved the paint job and loved the staff and the owner of the dealership !!! David and Deanna are the best - i have called a couple times since purchasing the car and they have answered all questions and have been very helpful !!! they all even helped me clean out my old car !!!! I was most impressed with Platinum VW from the first moment I came in to the dealership. I was warmly greeted by the owner, Josh, who then referred me to the proper people who were most helpful and efficient with no hassles or pressure. My salesman, Joe Riccobene, showed me various cars and advised what would be the best car for me. I decided on the VW Jetta. Financing was a breeze. Rob Sedrish, Finance Manager, put a lease package together that was best for me. I had done much comparison shopping and found Platinum VW to be the most efficient and friendly dealership to work with. I felt no pressure and I had my leased Jetta in less than a day. My old Pontiac Lease Turn-in was also handled by Platinum - so this was one stop shopping. I am most impressed with the dealer and the experience. I plan on continuing to be a part of the Platinum VW family from here on in. Thank you for the best lease experience I have ever had.

The minute I walked into Platinum Volkswagen, I could tell this would be the place I would purchase my car. I felt very comfortable there. I had a budget, I did not think they will match it after being declined by a near by VW dealer but they did, right from the beginning, no games, no gimmicks, no last minute surprises, I got more than what I expected. Doc is a great sales man but most importantly displays an honest interest in my needs for the right car. I feel trust and I'm not pushed into something I don't really want. When he says he'll call he does. I also find his extra "fund raising" a wonderful addition to your dealership. I have purchased many vehicles over my lifetime. The majority of the time, the experience was like a visit to the dentist; much discomfort and had to pay for it too. This is why i have to write about my most recent purchase and more specifically, regarding the sales rep i dealt with. Joe Riccobene treated us with respect and like we were actual customers, not like he was doing us a favor by assisting us! Being a female, it's been awful having car dealers (including service dept personnel) talk down to you. Because of this, i have always brought a male with me when car shopping - even though the vehicle was for my use and was completely up to my choosing. Joe made me feel like i didn't need to bring my husband along. He was honest and i believe very fair on both the vehicle sales price and trade in value. i would not hesistate to refer people to Joe Riccobene and Platinum Volkswagen.

Sales experience was extremely professional. Joe was the consumate salesman, evaluating the reason for my vist, presenting the values and benefits of the vehicles and the brand, and working out a beneficial deal. The showroom while bright and pleasant, seemed overly cramped, but presented the vehicles in a positive light. Overall, I would and did return to purchase another vehicle here.

My first experience with VW was Lengend in Amityville & it was extremely negative.The only positive was Barrington from whom I leased the car & it was all downhill from there.Their service center was always a hassle & the staff unpleasant. When my lease was up I was going to get any car BUT a VW. A very satisfying trip to the Hicksville service center changed my mind & I found myself back at Lengend.That turned out to be a HUGE mistake.I was over miles & they knew I wanted to quickly trade it in.They even sent a letter asking you to come in for early trade in.Surely they wanted your business.Everything seemed great after the first visit. Days then weeks went by,phone call after phone call being told they would get back to me.My miles continued to increase & I felt like I was begging them to let me lease a car from them.Ridiculous! Frustrated & about to say goodbye to VW for good,I made one last stop at Platinum. Im so happy that I did. In one night David helped us find a car for our budget. He listened and worked with us. We didnt get the car we intially came in for but that night we still left satisfied. We had our new car the very next day.Diana went over everything with the car.& was very patient in helping me getting my bluetooth set up.They are both a great assest to VW!A month later I did have a little setback with their service center but David quickly turned that around.Thats the difference between Legend & Platinum.At Platinum I feel like my business is valued & appreciated.How that situation was resolved with the service center proved it to me.I definitely never felt that at Lengend.~jessie

I walked into the service station without an appointment, and i was seen immediately by a consultant. It had been raining and one of my wiper blades had gone bad. Within 5 minutes, the consultant (John) was outside in the rain checking to see if maybe it was a quick fix. Turns out i needed more than just a blade but John assured me it would be fixed in no time at all. They offered me some coffee, i grabbed a newspaper and within an hour my car was ready. I gave high reviews because of the outstanding customer service.

Everyone at VW Platnum was excellent. Loved the place loved the service love the car. I went to sunrise at first and the sales person was so arrogant and so unknowledgable about the car that I just walked out and I am glad I did because Platnum was a completely diferent experience

I'd say, even if you're not looking for a VW, buy a car from Dave anyway since he is THAT good! He's very knowledgeable & does his best to make sure you end up happy. Great pricing/extras too!

My overall experience at the dealership was excellent. I have purchased and leased numerous cars over the past 20 years and have never experienced service and attention to detail as I experienced from the day I walked in for a test drive to picking up my car. From sales to the finance manager it was the most hassle free experience I have encounterd at a car dealership.I will recommend this dealership to friends and family with out a doubt.

I needed a new muffler on a classic vw, brought it into Platinum and got a call later in the day a part was missing (I had supplied the muffler to expedite service). Anyway, after a search, I was able to come up with it, brought it over and the muffler was installed by the end of the day. very happy with the service and consideration of the mechanics and service mgr.

I was shopping for a GTI, and David gave me the best deal on the market. I was shopping around for some time, and was going to give my business to Sunrise VW in Lynbrook. They were pretty nice as well, but when it came to price, they were not consistent. It just made me uncomfortable. I called Platinum at 5:55 on a Friday (they close at 6), dave walked me through the options, what they have on lot, what they don't, how much he could work with me. I told him I'll need to think about it, so he gave me his cell phone (!!) and told me to call or text that night if I had any questions. That was pretty awesome. I did, I texted, he responded in 10 minutes. The bottom line? I went in the next morning, and made a (great) deal.

This was my second car purchased through Platinum Volkswagen. I had originally purchased 2009 Passat and was trading in for a 2011 CC Sport. Dave Quintero was extremely helpful through every step of the process and helped me to arrive at the best decision for me. Dom assisted me with Financing numbers and helped me to get the best deal and determine the right amount of payments. Rob assisted me with the final paperwork and financing and helped me to arrive at the best decision for warranties and add-ons. Finally, Greg from Go Mobile provided invaluable assistance with the aftermarket Rosen VW Navigation and Entertainment system. All in all, it was a great car buying experience. I would highly recommend Platinum Volkswagen if you're looking to get a great deal in a low-pressure sales environment. This was my third lease with Platinum(previously known as Sovereign). They are honest, helpful,pleasant, and make you feel as if you matter and they care. From signing to pickup the mood was easy and pleasant and never high-pressured. Both David and Deanna made me feel like family. The service department is a selling point. They are really wonderful

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted quickly and in a friendly manner. Since I look young, most places don't give me the time of day because they think I'm not serious. After a horrendous experience at Major World ford (still going through it!) Platinum Volkswagen (highly recommended by a friend) was like a breath of fresh air. Al and Rob were great in their respective areas. Al was very knowledgeable about the car and Rob was excellent in getting me the best rate. A+++++++++

Joe Riccobene was the most friendly, honest, and professional salesrep I have encountered. He immediately took us out for a test drive, and THOUROUGHLY explained every aspect of the viehicle, pro & con.When we were satisfied with all the facts, he "made us an offer we couldn't refuse" and we bought the car instead of leasing it for 3 years.Remember, we had no intention of BUYING when we walked into the dealership, only to lease. Granted, its hard to beat 0% financing over 2.99% lease, but it takes a skilled NON-PUSHY salesman to lay out the numbers tactfully, and make the customer feel smart with the decission they make.We previously bought several Jettas from another dealer, whom we visited first. We were told there was no TDI available to drive, and we could get one, only if we put down a deposit sight unseen. Sound unreasonable? We thought so.As for their service department, we don't know. We only own the viehicle for 1 month. Joe has assured us that we can contact him at any time regarding any problems which may arrise. Refreshing attitude.
