I broke down while on vacation there last weekend. I had my truck towed to Preston Hood Chevrolet because I trust dealerships to provide quality service and parts. Bret and the service department did a great job of getting my vehicle in the same day because of my situation. We needed our truck back so we could get back home to Kentucky. We loved Keith King. He is very honest, efficient and professional. The experience was surprisingly short and easy with no hassles. We are very lucky to find this dealership and would travel an hour again just to do business with them. We have gone to several dealerships around Pensacola and even in Fort Walton but they didn't compare to Keith and this dealership. I highly recommend them.

Worked an online deal for a new 1500 pickup? Web page showed $5800 discount (16%). I received online confirmation of the deal and arranged an appointment to test drive and do paperwork. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the dealership, I was told that the online special would not be honored. Dealer blamed it on GM. Claimed GM controls the web site and refused to honor the deal that I had written online confirmation of. Utilmately, dealer price was $1000 over confirmed online deal. I would not make this $30k purchase at this dealership if it was the last dealer on earth.

My car got accident last year. I took my car to the shop. John who is employee at the shop promised me to fix my car back to before accident. The shop kept my car almost 2 months to fix it !!! When I came back to pick up my car. I noticed my car gas tank was almost empty. I remembered I filled up my car gas tank in the morning at Walmart in Navarre, then in evening I got accident. I didn't understand what they did with my full gas tank ??? Under hood white powder was every where. Headline was wobble with slight touch. I told John. He refused until I showed him their clumsy work. Then he admitted it. The shop kept my car another week to fix it. I didn't understand why it took the shop so long ??? I thought everything would better after a week long. I disappointed again when I came back to pick up my car. The headline installed not flush with body. I told John that moisture could get inside the headline easily. But he smarted mouth. And after a couple days I had to take my car back to the shop. I remembered I took my car back and forth with the shop 3 times. They kept saying they fixed it. I believe they did not even touch my car. What I got every time I came to pick up my car was their excuse "that all we can do". I thought if they could not fix it. Then let Miracle Strip Shop or other professional shops in Fort Walton Beach city to help them out. I didn't understand how Chevrolet company certified this shop. I believe this shop only bring bad Chevrolet image to customers in the city. My advice to anyone got unlucky day like me, then don't ever take your car to this shop. Their technicians are very armature, their work is very clumsy, and un-talented. AVOID, AVOID this dealer shop.

We prepaid for an oil change and then sold our car. They would not put that money towards our next oil change on our other vehicle.We feel like they stole money from us.I have bought 2 cars and had my service done here for 10 years. That ends today. I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado from Preston Hood. Due to a late night purchase the truck had not been detailed. In addition, there were accessories agreed upon while making the sale that needed to be installed. I agreed to return to the dealership at a later date for installation. Upon arrival this morning, I expected my accessories to be installed, the truck to receive a full auto detail and to have an additional key made as discussed at the time of purchase. The accessories; step rails; were installed without a problem. When paying the bill, the dealership proceeded to charge me $53.00 for a cut key. Apparently, this day and age, spending roughly $40,000.00 only gets you one key even though I submitted two upon trading my truck into the dealership. This is absurd! In addition, after paying for the key I walked out to my truck and realized they had not even touched the inside of the truck. There was still dirt on the floor mats from earlier that morning. As you can imagine, I was not pleased. Preston Hood Chevrolet has not only lost a service contract but also a lifelong Chevy customer. Doesn't anyone believe in customer service anymore?

Steve and Kim are EXCELLENT to work and deal with. Steve kept me apprised of everything involved with the sale of my 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ to include all coordination with my financial institution. Kim took the time (over an hour) to sit in the vehicle and demonstrate all of the features and options plus connected my Bluetooth devices and coordinated my OnStar account. They both even followed-up a couple of days later to ensure that I was happy with the vehicle and if I still had any questions. Great people to work with!!!

All I know is I went in with a problem. It was handled by a nice person and when my car was returned the problem was gone. I'm totally satisfied with the dealership though disappointed in the Chevrolet brand for their initial product which had to be replaced. Ford never appealed to me before until now.

Jason and the techs took excellent care of me and answered all of my questions. My vehicle was serviced in a professional manner and in a timely fashion. I was especially impressed that the tech ensured that no residual oil remained on the engine or underbody crossmembers. Kim Cannon at Preston Hood was so knowledgeable. We were on vacation and decided to look at new trucks, our truck was purchased new but was a 2002. It was a Dodge Ram and I was convinced buying another Ram was what we wanted again. Ms. Cannon met us on the lot as we were looking around, kind of lost - still not sure why we were at the Chevy dealer. Kim made us feel at ease and was able to answer all our questions. She showed us features on the Silverado that far surpassed what we had seen looking at other trucks. I was still unsure - but she encouraged us to drive it... again, her extensive knowledge of the brand and all of the extras the truck had to offer, she knew how they worked and was able to show us how easy we could use the safety features. Not only was did she sell us the Silverado, she "sold" us on the Chevy brand... We do not live in the area, but the next time I am in need of a vehicle, I will call her first to see what's new that Chevrolet has to offer... The Preston - Hood buying experience with Kim Cannon was above excellent - We love the Silverado!!!

I went in about a safety recall on my 2006 Chevy Colbalt. When I made the appointment, I was told it could take up to 2 or 3 hours to install the part, however when I got there I waited for just over an hour. The service was very quick and the employees were very polite and courteous, which can be hard to find these days.

I took my car to the collision center on Sept 28,2015 and didn't get it back until Oct 7,2015. That seems like an excessive amount of time for the painting required. My insurance company would only cover 5 days of car rental. Fortunately, Preston Hood covered the rest.

I live in Texas and was in Florida on vacation when the AC went out on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. Another dealer in the Destin/Seaside area couldn't even see my car for 8 to 10 days but Preston Hood Chevrolet Fort Walton Beach immediately recognized my need for timely repairs as I was to go home in four days. Their service dept. was incredibly helpful and friendly both when I first called to see if they could help me and also when they checked my car to determine the problems. They set an early appt. for the very next day and I couldn't have asked for better service. They quickly determined the problem, fixed it and I was on my way in 1.25 hours - amazing!!! Shortly after leaving our house I realized I had a screw in my tire. It's was about 4:20 and we called Preston Hood Service department and even though they were going to close soon they told us to come in. They checked out the tire and saw it needed to be patched. I would like to thank Mr. Kenny Strickland and Cari Bailey for taking the extra time to assist me with the front brake problem. I'd also want to thank Kenny for going that extra mile to submit what possibly could be a design deficiency is the front brake pad design that allows sand and grit to remain a "V" where the pad and rotor meet causing the rotor to wear excessively. The dealership was very presentable. They had that place super clean. Their snack bar had many different options and everyone was extremely friendly. Dave Shapiro did an excellent job and was very helpful. He did everything he could to make us comfortable and answered any and all questions we asked. We didn't have to deal with the back and forth haggling like most dealerships do. They were very straight forward with their prices. We told them what we were willing to pay with all the research we did and they came back and said okay. They then came back and were extremely close to our price range in one try of negotiation. We also appreciated the dealership staying open past hours to finish the transaction of us finalizing our contract so we wouldn't have to come back another day.

I had my service appointment scheduled about a month in advance for 930 am. Another personal appointment needed to be made for the same day in the afternoon. I told Kasi about it when I dropped off my car and that I could make arrangements if it couldn't be ready and she said "Don't worry about it. We can change the order of the cleaning and oil change, etc. to get it back to you in time." And of course she did. It's the little things that are actually big things to us customers. We don't forget those. I bought a 2011 Camaro from Milton (special order) and was getting horrible service. I started bringing that car to Preston Hood and working with Kasi on the issues with it. She has treated me like a friend from day one. I came back and bought a 2014 Corvette from Preston Hood because I knew the service dept would take care of me from then on thanks to her.

As a general rule waiting for your vehicle to be serviced is closely akin to having a root canal. Preston Hood on the other hand made this a quite enjoyable experience. The service advisor, Kasi Dent, had everything in order she knew exactly what was to be done, and did it with style and grace. I didn't want to spend my morning at the dealership, as enjoyable as that may have been, Kasi arranged for shuttle to pick me up and then when the service was complete it brought me back to pick up my truck. We just purchased a pre-owned truck from Preston Hood for our teen-aged son. We had been looking for a while and were getting frustrated with available options. We had a good friend suggest Preston Hood and put us in touch with pre-owned manager Eli Bauduin. Eli knew exactly what we were looking for and was able to help us locate it. From there we had the pleasure of working with Paul Hughes. He went above and beyond in helping us out-including helping my son select custom add-ons for his truck the week following the purchase. My husband was out of town for the actual purchase of the car and I was a little nervous about handling it myself based on a previous car purchase (made at another local dealership) which was a bad experience. I absolutely had no need for concern as it was a very painless transaction. Paul explained everything thoroughly to me and answered any questions that I had. I felt respected and treated very fairly which has not always been my experience as a woman at a car dealership. For this I am very thankful. My son is THRILLED with his truck and we are so pleased with the deal we got and the people we dealt with at Preston Hood. Went in to Preston Hood Chevorlet for car service on my Camaro. Service took 8 days. No confidence if it fixed the problem. They also over charged me. Also charged me for a small chip in the paint on the loaner vehicle that they game me. This is the part where they made me mad. I had multiple discussions with the owner. He assured me, if I deleted my bad reviews over the internet, he would drop the charges for loaner. The damage to the vehicle was petty and not even the size of a quarter. They filed for $483 dollars in repairs for the loaner. I found out months laters, that he went against his word by sneaking charges on my insurance policy. Now my insurance rates has sky rocketed.You CANNOT believe anything that his dealarship says. They will smile in your face and stab you in your back.

Had my oil changed, additves to the fuel and oil, tires rotated, and the MPI done. Left the dealership, and half way home the "Service Tire Monitoring System" warning light came on. I continued on home and checked the pressure when I got home and all the tires were inflated correctly. I also noticed oil dripping on my driveway. I called back to the service dept and was spoken too by a very emphatethic and caring lady who conveyed my concerns to the Service Manager and Ms Kasi Dent. I was asked if I could bring it back and I would be taken care of immediately. The Service Manager took care of me personally, and took on my concerns as if they were his own. He and his staff were professional, got my wife's car taken care of quickly, and then he took the time to apologized to me directly. That act in itself was worth the drive back. I think the lady who spoke to me on the phone, the professionalism of Ms Dent, and the "take responsibility for the issue" by the Service Manager are all reasons I will continue to return to Preston Hood Chevrolet in FWB... It took me 3 test drives and bringing the truck back several times for the technicians to correct the issue. Even having to deal with the back and forth in the end my issue was resolved and they never gave up to try and please me. On the whole I am pleased with the service I get at Preston Hood, however, I don't like the fact that I had to remind the service writer that discounts are being offered for the service I am receiving. I expect the dealership to make money, but to have to wrangle an additional $20-$30 off a job when the customer should be told about it from the get go is a little shabby.

Switch to my driver-side window failed...on a rainy day. I was able to get an appointment within an hour. Repair was accomplished within one hour of arrival. I only have 25,000 miles on my 2009 Silverado, too soon for a window switch failure! Bumper to Bumper warranty was expired. However repair was covered under my extended warranty.

My service technician was Cari Baily. She did an "outstanding" job servicing my vehicle and arranging a rental car for me since service required an overnight stay. You could definitely tell Ms Baily was skilled in the execution of her duties. Ms Baily is definitely a positive asset to the Preston Hood team and should be commending for her professionalism! On a different note, I found the cost of an oil change at Preston Hood to be very unreasonable...believe it was around $45. The driver's side headlight on my HHR burned out and I could not change it. I went to Preston Hood at the end of my workday to see if they could help. When any one needs service or repair they must rely on the ability of the service writer to interpret what they feel or think the vehicle needs. The service writer must "listen" to a lot of information and glean what the true problem is. They must also look for things that the customer may need as part of their responsibility. Recently while leaving my avalanche in the service dept I experienced what every customer really wants when they take their vehicle In. That is to say; to feel as if they are being treated special. As a long time car owner I can recognize when some one is just repeating what someone once told them or what an un-informed aquintance thinks of the problem. With out a doubt your KASI DENT service writer fills all the prerequisite of a highly professional individual. Her manners are postive and there is no hint of "know it all". Everything was great but I did not like being pushed on the extended warranty service. If Chevy was so proud of the quality of their vehicles, they would offer a warranty at least equal to or better than Hyundai, KIA etc. I am a life long dedicated Chevy person but am very disappointed that Chevy has not bumped up their warranty coverage. It just leads me to believe that it is strictly a money making scheme & not really offered as a concern for the customer. I know for an absolute fact that several people would rather have bought a Chevy if their warranty was as good or better than KIA or Hyundai. I think it is time to change. On one hand, you advertise how much quality has improved an how reliable the vehicles are but still stick with the same warranties of the junk vehicles built in the 80's. What is your feedback? Maybe you should do a nationwide survey on this? Back up your product with a better warranty. Warranty issue is a company problem & pushed by company for profit over customer satisfaction.

I am very UNhappy with my experience at Preston Hood Chevrolet! My car broke down and this dealership was the closest one. It took the service department 8 days to fix my vehicle. I never had confidence that they knew what the problem was. They gave me a loaner vehicle to get back home. I honestly cannot say this about most dealerships, but Preston hood Chevrolet service department has earned my trust. I have a very difficult to locate a/c leak in my Tahoe and the technicians have worked very hard to track down the problem. There was no reoccurring labor charge and the staff was very responsible. Kasi, advisor that I dealt with was the most understanding kind and professional service advisor that I have ever dealt with. She is informative and will get you the answer that you need. My appointment was made as I had requested (between 8-9 A.M. I was a few minutes early, but was accepted happily by the Service Folks. Waite time was what I thought was normal (a little less that 2 hours). My 2009 Silverado truck maintenance was well well done, and surprisingly, was vaccumed and washed which I did'nt request. The total cost for my service was much less than I had expected. Thanks so much for the service. Given the opportunity, I will recommend Preston Hood for great service.

Brought my car to this PrestonHood Chevrolet for minor service issues and detailing. 10 days after dropping the car off, I returned to pick up the care, only to finds that the detailing and service performed were incomplete, and that I had been over-charged based upon the initial quote.Service writer was friendly and did attempt to "right the wrongs" by refunding overages charged. Nonetheless, I was AGAIN forced to leave the car with the dealer for additional time.AGAIN, I returned to the dealer to pick the car up, this time to find the car repairs completed (however one additional item that was added when I previously attempted to pick the car up was overlooked). Nonetheless, the detailing that I had paid for STILL was incomplete and appeared to be nothing more than a very expensive wash, wax, and interior clean ... NOT the detailing "that we do to trade-ins", as promised ... engine compartment remained uncleaned, as did the wheel wells, interior windows were only partly cleaned ... could have gotten a better "detailing" from detailers for half the price.

I have purchased 2 vehicles in the last 5 years. Without the help of Steve Barit I doubt that I would have purchased my SSR. Steve got me a great price on it and a great value for my trade-in. When I purchased my Suburban LTZ, Chuck Epply also got me a great price on it and again a great value for my trade-in. I have purchased 15 new vehicles and only 1 other time did I get this kind of expert help from a dealership. These gentlemen did not do the normal pressure games that most other dealerships try. They got me financing at a rate I did not think was possible. When I first came to this area, I tried a local GMC dealership. Their service and parts dept. would be a 2 on a scale of 10. I booked my car in for the transmission fluid to be changed and had the worst experience ever. I sat waiting for over 2 hours only to find out that no one had written up a ticket for it. Instead of coming in to the waiting area to see who's vehicle it was they just let me sit there until I got up and asked about it 2 hours later. I was quoted that the procedure would take about an hour.The lady that dealt with the bookings/payments was very apologetic but as far as I was concerned I explained that there was a lack of communication at this dealer and they were just gonna let my car sit there without anyone wondering who's it was and what had to be done. When it was finally done and it was time to pay I asked her if they were gonna give me a discount for my 3 and a half hour wait she looked at me as if I was from another planet and explained she would have to speak to her manager but was doubtful that I would. She never spoke to the manager as he was talking with another customer but did give me a 10% discount. I did find out from another customer waiting for her car that this same incident has happened to her twice. She is brave to go back. They need a lot of work on their customer service and common sense. Will I return there? NO....BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Idid my market research and found a used car that I was interested in through Preston Hoods web site. I asked for information about a particular used car they had on a Sunday night, within minutes I had a reply. Jenna e-mailed me to tell me that while she was not in her office she would get in touch with me the next day. The next day I got the information I wanted and each additional question I had she answered back very quickly. After e-mailing back and forth, I set up a time to come and test drive the car. When I got there I meet Dallas Moody and the car was out front waiting for me. I test drove the car, Dallas asked if I was interested in working out a deal so we went to his office. He offered us water and made us feel comfortable. He offered us a price and then he evaluated our trade. The entire time there was no pressure from him and the price was better than I expected. I fully came to the dealership expecting to fight for every penny and that NEVER HAPPENED!!! When it was all said and done, they offered me more than I expected for my trade in. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Preston Hood. From the time I searched on the internet and sent that first e-mail to driving off with my new car it was as if they valued my business. I can't say that about any of the other dealerships in the area.

Kasi McLaughlin always takes care of what my cars need with a professional approcach that sets the standard for her peers. She is an excellent ambassador for Preston Hood and if you can find a way to hihre more employees like her, you should junp at the chance. Chcuk Epley is a very competent salesman, he doesn;t pressure you, but he believes in what he;s doing and that established a high degrree of credibility. Preston Hood hit a goldmine when they hired Bill Kelley. He cares about the buyer's best interests, and always makes sure the buyer is happy with his purchase. I won't go anywhere else and recommend Preston Hood Chevrolet to all my friends. They are second to none! Someone in the personnel department did an excellent job of recognizing talet when they hired Kasi, Chuck, ChucK, Steve and Bill!

Since moving to Fort Walton Beach, in 2009, I have taken our vehicles to Preston Hood. The first time was because of the fact they were a GM dealership and I didnt know any other local mechanics, and I knew that I would have at a minimum the warranty of the GM service. Now I take our trucks and car there for one reason and one reason only, the customer service that is provided to me. Each and every time I go I feel as though I am the most important customer. Kasi (service advisor) knows me and my wife by name and always puts her best effort to make sure we see her when we come in, even if she is busy with other customers. Each time we take a vehicle in for service it is available within the time estimated or at least a phone call is provided to keep us up to date if it is taking longer than anticipated. The norm is that it is completed well ahead of the projected time frame. The service department alone at Preston Hood is a major reason why when it is time to purchase a new car I will begin my vehicle search at this dealership. I happily recommend Preston Hood (and Kasi by name) as the preferred place to take a vehicle for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.R/David Worden

By far the best experience buying a new vehicle. Contrary to popular belief, buying a new vehicle does NOT have to be a horrible experience. From the moment I drove on the lot with my old vehicle to minute I drove off with my NEW truck, there was absolutely 0 pressure. Mr. Dallas Moody showed me every vehicle I wanted to look at, and let me test drive them as well. He was more interested in putting me in the perfect truck for me, as opposed to trying to sell me the most expensive one on the lot. As far as the financial portion of the process, Mrs. Joann Jeffries walked me through everything, explaining the ins and outs of the optional plans they offered, and it was exeptional!I will, and already have, reccomend this dealer to everyone I work with in the Air Force here on Hurlburt Field. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. It's nice to know that we have such a military-friendly dealership in the local area!!
