I unexpectedly needed my car serviced as I was on my way to New Hampshire and brought it into service. Chris Mulstay had it looked at for me right away and got me in and out before I could even arrange another ride. And he wasn't just great to me - I saw him update customers while I waited multiple times on the statuses of their cars and made everyone feel comfortable and in the know about what's going on. Would like to share my very positive experiences at QUIRCK VW IN BRAINTREE I have been getting my VW serviced for 2 years and have had nothing but super friendly prompt service ! Marc one of the service consultants is a super courteous guy and clear communicator. He gets the job done and work is done by when it is promised. If for some reason there is a delay ( awaiting parts etc) u are informed via text or voicemail AND when your car is reviewed for a major check up ( like 20K ) they make a cool video of all the findings . Nice to get a bit of education about the car u rely on every day .. I highly recommend Quirk !! Kudos to Marc for making my ( prior to Quirk ...dreaded ) car follow ups so easy and pleasant .

My and my wife went to look at a Passat on 7/8/16 My wife was not feeling well I told them this she was having a hard time breathing. I walk out of the dealership they keep working on Robin so I was talked back in and leased the car. There forced the car on me Xavier should be ashamed of himself. Since then my wife has been gravely ill and passed away the end of August. I need to turn the car in because I can not afford 2 cars now with my wife gone. I called the dealership on several occasions and they told me there is nothing they can do for me. I called the owner 5 times and left messages with his office manager still no response.The only option I have is give it back to VW Credit and it will destroy my credit.This all about selling the car they do not care about the people. Please stay away from this place I do not want something like this to happen to anyone else.

In the past I purchased luxury cars, so you may or may not choose to take my VW dealer review with a grain of salt.The negotiation process was fine.In hindsight I would have restricted myself to purely Internet negotiation tools but live and learn.The vehicle delivery part was.... not fine.Given VW news, the message to each dealer should be that every sale is precious.Yet that is not the case.Some communication issues might have been caught if I had noticed that they had gotten a digit wrong on my phone number.But maybe not.I have lived long enough and and made enough mistakes that I hesitate to find fault with others.That being said after buying from Quirk my advice would be to not buy a VW. If for some reason which I cannot understand you must buy a VW, do not buy from Quirk.If you must go to Quirk, use them to negotiate the best price then take that number to another dealer.* DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM QUIRK IF YOUR TIME HAS ANY VALUE. *Henrich Woebcken is in way over his head.

I walked in with my boyfriend in search of a car to finance. We had a list of key features we had in mind but didnt make the decision on a specific car yet since my credit is less than perfect. Vadim did everything he could to make sure we were not only happy with the Jetta but that it was exactly what we wanted. I feel like most car dealerships out there try and manipulate the customer into buying the car that would benefit them the most, and not the customer. Not here. In fact, it was quite the opposite. My voice was always heard and Vadim made sure to satisfy all my questions and concerns, the whole location was genuinely friendly and made us feel like VIP honestly. Vadim was very patient with us, especially when I accidentally wrote the wrong address. They made sure to make me a priority and get it fixed in amazingly record time. Ive had my Jetta for about a month now and I AM IN LOVE, it has surpassed my greatest expectations. This car is luxury, sport, and economical! My boyfriend and I will DEFINITELY recommend Vadim and the Quirk VW team to anyone we know wanting to buy a car. We will definitely buy from him again when looking to make another purchase.

My sales representative was Peter and I don't have enough pleasant things to say about him. He was very professional and informative, buy never pressured me or made me feel like I was being given a stereotypical sales pitch. He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, concerns, and budget. Worked with my down payment and trade in to give me a very good deal on a brand new GTI. Communication was clear and easy. Paperwork was smooth. They took care of everything and allowed me to drive the car home with little frustration or effort on my part. I would highly recommend Quirk VW to any interested in a Volkswagen, and in particular I would recommend my sales representative Peter. Again, everything went perfect.

I received an internet price for my 2016 VW Golf Sportwagen. The price was a good discountoff the MSRP. I am just a car dealer's nightmare, with every car-buying app on my cell phone and tons of research in my brain. I knew every single dealer's inventory on exact car I wanted, within a 250 mile radius; I even came close to buying the one I found at Boston VW, but they really did me wrong...So the only other dealership that had my car, was Quirk; I called to inquire about it, and Chelsea Slater was a) fresh from a course about the Golf R so really on top of her information, and b) willing to give me her cell phone number so i could text or call every single question I had for a week. I went down to test-drive the car, and negotiations were so fast, and so cordial, I drove my dream car home three hours later. IMPORTANT: if you are like me, and prefer to do business with other women whenever possible, dealing with Chelsea sealed that deal far faster, than had I had only dealt with men in sales.

I stopped in on Tues 2/2/16 looking to get lease payments for a new Jetta. I told the sales person that I was in the business for 20 years and I was looking for a vehicle for my wife. He first said when can I bring my wife in. I told him that I was getting lease payments and that she did not have to drive the vehicle. I also told him that I was comparing Honda and Nissan and then he told me that the Jetta would be more money (with out giving me a figure yet) I asked for a 36 month 10k miles per year sign and drive lease payment and he said that there was not such a thing and I had to pay my fees up front ??? so of course I got up and walked out of the showroom.

As we know, buying a car can be very stressful, with so many trips to dealerships, negotiation process, e-mails, phone calls, etc. I hope my review can help you narrow down your searches and go straight to Quirk in Braintree. I saw 2016 Tiguan on the Web-site and contacted the dealership via e-mail. I was contacted by Xavier, the Sales Manager, who gave me the information I needed with no pressure and did not make me feel uncomfortable or ripped off at all. I scheduled a visit to the dealership to test drive, return my current lease and potentially sign paperwork. As I walked into the dealership Chelsea, the Sales Representative, was already waiting for me at the door and welcomed me and my husband. We were impressed with how professional and friendly she was. Shortly after, Chelsea and Xavier went over the numbers with us, and at no point we had a feeling of talking to a used car-salesman or had the common buyers remorse feeling. They were able to accommodate our needs and we left with a brand new Tiguan that I love driving. I had previously owned a Jetta TDI, and wanted a new one. I had shopped two VW dealerships and was unsatisfied with the pressure and so called "deal" from the other nameless VW dealership (coastal). I popped into Quirk VW and met Chelsea, within minutes she narrowed down what I really wanted showed me all the options. As picky as I was she was patient and made it so comfortable and easy. I decided on a 2016 Jetta GLI SEL, love the car now if only Chelsea could help me pay for it! Chelsea went above and beyond even answering any questions I had even when she wasn't working.

Need a new car? Want to be treated with dignity and respect? Then, look no further than Quirk VW in Braintree, MA. I recently purchased my 2nd VW at Quirk, a crossover this time. Over a 6-day time frame, I test drove several different makes and models but went back to Quirk for the purchase. Randy, my sales professional seemed to know everything there is to know about VW's. What impressed me was his ability to relate to me, he compared what things looked like on my 2009 Jetta and said, "Check this out, on your car it looked like this, but now ... etc." I am not a very technical person so all the new bells and whistles, although gorgeous were a bit overwhelming as first. Randy took time with me until I got comfortable and was able to answer all of my questions. There is no pressure at Quirk VW only assurance, "It's a big purchase. We want you to be happy." Jason, the manager at VW, encouraged me to drive a Subaru, he said, "I'm confident you'll be back." I was back the next day to make my VW purchase. Jason is a true numbers guy. He sat with me and ran every scenario I could come up with until I felt comfortable with the deal. The service team Pat, Marc and all the guys were excited for me! Since they worked on my Jetta, I asked them to weigh in on my decision because I trust them. The people at Quirk VW treat you like family.

If you want a great experience buying a car then head to Quirk Volkswagen and ask for the following team - Vadim Kurilko, Xavier Casiano and Paul Seymour. I was interested in a 2016 Tiguan and Vadim answered every questions i had. His easy manner and personality certainly made it a pleasure to buy a car. Xavier Casiano could not do enough in assuring his customer's get exactly what they want. He is a great sales manager who makes sure your every need is taken care of. Once i decided i wanted the car, Vadim and Xavier did everything possible so i could take my new car home that night. At no time was there any pressure to purchase this car and once i made the decision Paul came over to write up the paperwork. Vadim explained every single option on my new Tiguan before i drove off in my brand new car. As both Vadim and Xavier were off the next day they assured me that anyone could help me when i returned for my sticker. They were sure right! To my surprise, Paul took time out of his b to assure my registration and sticker was taken care of even though his job is finance not sales or service . Vadim called to make sure everything was all set when he returned to work. They sure work as a team. This was the best experience i have ever had purchasing a car and i am really glad i chose to purchase my Tiguan at Quirk Volkswagen.

I recently leased a 2015 Beetle from Quirk Volkswagen. Vadim worked really hard to get me the deal that I wanted on the car--I walked away a very happy girl! The only thing that was a little strange was I had to return my own plates--not a huge deal, but friends & family told me after that that wasn't the norm. This was my second experience getting a car from Quirk VW, and it's safe to say it won't be my last. I've been going here for year for service as well--the dealership as a whole is approachable and helpful.

I had a great experience leasing an e-Golf at Quirk. I liked that I was able to deal directly with the General Manager, Jason Thompson, instead of having to go back and forth through another salesperson. This meant that he could give me the best deal directly. Quirk is certainly not the closest VW dealer to me, but the deal he offered was so good that it was worth the extra drive. I kept waiting for the "bait-and-switch", where they would try to add on extra charges that were not part of the deal we talked about on the phone. But it never happened. The deal was exactly as stated, and they never even attempted to get me to buy the "extra services" that other dealers always seem to hawk.The sales consultant, Vadim Kurilko, was very knowledgeable about the e-Golf, and he was very thorough in answering all my questions and helping me to understand the vehicle. When I asked about scheduled maintenance, a member of the service department came out and answered all my questions. I really felt that I had a whole team that was helping me. Based on my experience, I would give Quirk VW my highest rating.

My family has leased 4 cars in the last 3 years from Quirk. Personally, this is my 2nd Quirk VW, and both of my experiences leasing here have been great. The first time around, Rachel and Jason were both friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They went above and beyond making me feel comfortable with the thorough process of leasing my Jetta ("Bennie", I called her). They took the time to get to know me, and understand my wants and needs. I never had any issues with the car over the 3 years and 53,000 miles I had her.When I was ready to lease again, Peter and Jason greeted me with smiling faces ready to help again. I thought that I was going to lease another Jetta, but when I saw a white Beetle in the showroom, I had to test drive it. I fell in love with it, and they both made the process painless. For this review to have the proper context, Id like to begin by describing a bit about myself. I am the type of person who takes an hour to look over the menu, asks the waiter a million questions, then lays awake at night wondering if I should have gotten the chicken instead of the meatballs. So you can imagine how I expected this car buying process to go, and how little I was looking forward to it. My greatest fear was undergoing a long, torturous process, which would eat up weekend after weekend, and end up with me overpaying for the wrong car.Last Saturday, my wife and I set off with our budget in mind and an idea of the type of car we wanted. We expected this to be the start of a long process, and were just planning on test driving vehicles that day. After visiting 4 different dealerships, it seemed our nightmare was becoming a reality. While we test drove some decent cars, we hadnt found one that seemed like a great fit. That in and of itself wasnt a huge problem. The real issue was that, while we had made it extremely clear that all we wanted to do was test drive vehicles, we kept getting trapped with aggressive salespeople that were continuously pushing these vehicles on us, vehicles that we had already determined werent a perfect fit. With our spirits dampened and expectations lowered, we arrived at Quirk Volkswagen in Braintree where we were greeted by Peter Nett. Immediately, we felt a difference. By this point, I was simply exhausted of having to play the sales game back and forth, and the feeling of having to consider every word like I was in an FBI interrogation. Peter made all the difference. The atmosphere was much more relaxed, and my wife and I felt completely comfortable. It honestly did just feel like he was our good friend who simply came with us to help us find a car (only if our good friend knew every single detail about every car in the lot). It may not seem like a big deal, but it allowed us to take a deep breath, relax, and finally focus all our attention on the cars. Just like before, we test drove a vehicle. We immediately noticed the VW quality when getting behind the wheel, especially compared to the other dealerships we had visited earlier in the day, but the car still didnt feel like it was perfect for us. Looking back on everything now, I feel like this was the biggest moment of our whole experience. When we had reached this point at every other dealership, the salesperson would try to wave away our concerns and just keep jackhammering away with But the car has this! The car has that! Youre gonna love this! Youre gonna love that! Instead of trying to convince us this was the car we wanted, Peter was the only one who actually took the time to find out and hear us out on why we needed a car and what we were looking for out of a vehicle. Instead of just talking, he took the time to listen. After he listened, he simply asked us to test drive a different vehicle: the right vehicle. And that was that. My wife and I immediately fell in love with the car, and we both knew our search was over. Each and every step from that point on, till the keys were in our hands, was just as easy and painless. I, the man who takes an hour to pick his menu item, felt so comfortable that I was able to sign for the car in that one day. There is nothing else to really say. My wife and I are now proud new owners of a 2015 Jetta GLI, and we could not be happier! There is nothing that replaces the feeling of being excited about your new car, and the best part is we got a FANTASTIC deal that was WELL within our budget. Honestly, I feel like we got lucky by having such an awesome experience buying a car. But you dont have to be lucky to have the same experience. All you have to do is go to Quirk Volkswagen in Braintree and ask for Peter.

I came in and leased a new Jetta from Michael Kingsley, who may be the most incompetent sales person I have ever come across, cars or otherwise. First he botched the lease paperwork 3 separate times. Then when I came to pick up the car I sat in the dealership for 40 minutes while he walked past me 5 or six times without even acknowledging the fact I cam to pick up the car he sold me the day before.After I left he started texting me about a survey for him to make extra money off of the deal - I told him I would fill it out, but that I was traveling oversees for 2 weeks. When I returned I had 10 messages from him on the last day of the month asking where the survey was so he could get paid.Upon completing the survey and giving him an 8/10, which was generous at best, he sent a text message asking why I even bothered filling out the survey if I didn't give him a perfect score and it was my fault he didn't get paid for the deal. xxx this guy is a complete imbecile. I called him and rather than apologizing he said it wasn't his fault and he should have gotten a good survey. Literally the most maddening worst customer service experience ever here, I would not recommend purchasing a car here ever, unless you know sleazy salespeople are your thing.

I went to Quirk VW just for service and started talking to the sales person Vincent who had sold me my first car and I told him I was interested in getting my son a new car for his birthday and graduation. Within minutes, I was test driving a new car. After he located the exact car, I leased that one and we started talking about my current car. Needless to say, he's a great salesman!! I ended up with no tone but two new cars!! The paperwork was completed and I left that day with my new car! We picked up the other one the next day! Then this past weekend, my daughter decided to look at new cars and I called VW to ask who we should talk to at Quirk Chevrolet. I bought my brand new 2 door Golf TDI from Al Whelen two years ago and had a phenomenal experience. Fast forward two years when it was time for a more accessible car, I returned all the way to Braintree to make sure I knew i was getting treated properly. I returned to Quirk for a 4 door version of the Golf TDI and had a great buying/trading experience with the salesperson Vadim and manager Rachel. They got me into something that was better for my budget and growing vehicle needs. Their no B.S. approach made it more than a pleasure to do business with them. A few hiccups prior to delivery were easily taken care of professionally and swiftly. I will more than likely return to Quirk in the future for a Golf Alltrack.

Returned a 2012 Tiguan for lease expiration after a courtesy call from lease return manager Mike Kingsley. Was interested in 2015 GTI Lease which was running, warm and sparkling for my arrival. I leased a 2015 GTI in exchange for a prior VW lease. Michael and the team at Quirk turned me around in 90 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, very impressive.I had a good sense of the car I wanted, Michael had it ready for me in 10 minutes, we took a quick rest drive, and then we were able to agree on terms in a few minutes. I asked for several alternatives (including purchasing instead of leasing), and he was able to provide those quickly, clearly and without much fuss. We discussed a bit and then agreed, I had done previous work so was confident on the pricing, and they were at market and did not try to press me on that.Once I decided, three or four Quirk employees, led by Michael, worked to turn it around very quickly, from moving my plates (and local parking sticker!) to the new car, detailing the now one, setting up personal features (stereo, bluetooth), finalizing paperwork, etc. He was able to answer all my questions, and by the time I left I was pretty familiar and comfortable with the new vehicle.Overall, great experience, I had a good sense of what I wanted and then Michael and the team there worked to meet my time window (had to pick up son from hockey practice so only had 90 minutes) to make work. I have not had that experience before, I have been stuck at other dealerships for many hours waiting for turn arounds on various steps, and here they parallel processed the transaction. Well done all around, many thanks. Very pleased with the car on my first commute! Definitely recommend working with Quirk, was best experience by far (and I have owned/leased multiple VWs, over 25 plus years (all the way back to a Rabbit).KLT

My job situation changed from working downtown to having a commute, so I needed a very dependable car with low miles. I went looking here for a CPO Passat and they were happy to show me some models that were CPO eligible at a great price. Aside from looking at purchasing a CPO, they also were happy to run numbers for me on what it would cost for me to lease a new Passat. They both let me make my own decisions and they weren't pushy with sales tactics at all--when I said I didn't want or need something, they let it go. When it came down to it, they worked with me on my trade in and got me into my new (used) car.I just brought the car in this morning to get inspected--while doing the inspection they told me my tires only had about 10k miles left in tread (which isn't much for me) and they are now replacing all 4 of my tires; free of charge...talk about great service.If you're looking for a new or used VW, I would definitely recommend looking here first.

John, the sales manager, did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of lease vs. buying and for us, the best option turned out to be leasing (huge surprise to me). We worked with Peter for the test drive and must have list and final leasing arrangements. I felt like I was well heard and did not get swindled into a car with options and features that I didnt need or want. From the sales manager, to the salesman to the finance guy and service manager, it was a 100% pleasant, non-stressful and fulfulling expreience. Even requesting a simple vehicle history report from this dealership requires you to jump through hoops. It took 5 emails to get a pdf of the report sent to me. Even then they didn't send the whole report. What is usually an easily accessible link for other dealerships on the listing's page, required an hour of communication with this dealership. The also initially ignored their advertised price on cars.com and "sent me a deal" for $500 more even after I sent them the link to the advertised price from them on cars.com.

My experience recently at Quirk VW totally redefined how I will expect to be treated in the future at a dealership, I have had some really bad customer service experience's in the past however from the moment I stepped foot into Quirk VW I was greeted by Jason Thompson, his friendly, confident and non threaten nature were not typical characteristics of a normal auto sales person, the whole experience was great, I took a test drive with his team member Kenny Elden and that sealed the deal for me, I went from thinking about it to making a firm decision to purchase, Kenny's knowledge of the car was impressive and his availability after the fact to answers any questions about my new car was a huge relief.I am so happy with my new Toureg and am beyond happy that I went with another VW and Quirk, I look forward to a continued good relationship with them.Jason & Kenny really do make a great team, I have worked in the customer service industry for the last 20 years and I know good service when I see it, I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this dealership to either my family , friends or clients .

This whole experience was great. Stephan was so easy to work with. He didn't waste our time with pricing and the usual game playing that we have experienced with other dealers. My wife and I went in on a wet and windy Tuesday night, told Stephan what we were looking for in a car and a price range. Within a half hour, we were pretty set that we liked the Jetta. We told Stephan we needed a little time to think and make sure we were comfortable with the decision. We told Stephan we would be back on Sunday. He called on Sunday to see if we were coming in and if so he would have the papers ready for us. My wife and I got to the dealership a little before 1 and left at just about 2 with all the paperwork and financing done. Everyone at Quirk VW treated us as if our time was important. I was shopping around for a TDI VW. I went to all the VW dealers in southern MA and RI areas. None of the dealers in southern MA or RI will offer a deal I could not walk away from. I looked in Braintree because I heard that QUIRK is a largest dealer in the area and I could possibly have a chance to get into a TDI without spending $30K. I visited the website and noticed specials that were below any quoted price I received from visiting the dealerships. I wanted to do my homework before walking in and getting hooked on the first car I drove. When I arrived at Quirk VW I met Ron Novin. Ron gave me his personal cell# and was very calm and friendly. He was not pushy or trying to get me into a larger car. He was easy to deal with and was in my corner from start to finish. The staff is friendly and Ron worked on getting my car traded in fairly and sold me the car at an insanely low price. I was excited to find a dealership that will work with you to get you what you want for what you plan to spend. The finance manager will try to sell additional packages and other warranty items. Some people go for it but I was trying to get the plates on the car and go break it in.I have gone back to get my first checkup on my car and the staff remembered me on a first name basis. I would recommend anyone looking to get into a new car to try out Quirk VW and look at the TDI models because they are a lot of fun and better than a Prius!

Stephen was the best car dealer I could of ever worked with. He was very kind, helpful, and full of knowledge about the cars I was looking at. He didn't put any pressure on me to buy anything. He let he test drive two cars and explained every feature about the car. I ended up buying a 2014 Jetta that I love. Before pulling off the lot with my new car Stephen took the time to move items from my car which I traded in into my brand new car. He then again explained features and made sure I was comfortable with my purchase before leaving. I would recommend going here to anyone looking to purchase a car. Bought my first brand spanking new VW car, a 2013 Passat TDI SE, at this dealership and it was my first easiest buy ever based on the deal negotiation. Got rock bottom price on this gorgeous TDI machine. Shopped and looked around for the best price and it was the Quirk VW dealership in Braintree, MA, that spoke once and I knew right away it was a deal NOT to be refused. I dealt with Jason Thompson, the General Manager, directly by chance. I was returning from another dealership in Westwood/Norwood area after I checked and talked about prices and on the way home towards Braintree and I thought I'd call the Quirk VW dealership in Braintree, and so I did. The phone was picked up by Jason, the general manager, and all I asked was "What is the best price you can give me on the 2013 Passat TDI SE?" and it gave me the price that I could not refuse, especially on diesel cars where dealers don't budge at all on negotiating the price. Keep in mind that this was over the phone, no dealer will give you it's best price on the phone and save you time and money!!!! Went to check out the car right away, test drove it, loved it. I asked again for the price again to make sure I heard it correctly and nope, the price had not changed. I asked Jason that I have to pick up my wife in one hour, he said no problem. Signed the papers and left with my brand new TDI Machine in less than 1 hour. This is what I call service!!!! Awesome, that's all I can say! Keep it up Quirk VW in Braintree!!!

AWFUL. Complete jerks bought my first car here and thought everything was smooth until I took it back a week later to fix missing clip on front bumper which was missing since I bought it. They tried to take advantage of a young girl.. Told me I had cracked fog lights and broken front bumper which was totally NOT the case.. All I needed fixed was a missing clip. They suggested I was lying to them that I had not caused the damage in the mere week I had the car. The 'fix' was going to cost me $600 but they'd give me a deal and fix it for $300. If I were really to cause this damage myself, why would they offer me a deal? After a few days of complete nightmare, I was able to contact the secretary at Quirk who was a nice lady and get my car back free of charge. May I add my front bumper they claimed they 'fixed for free' was clearly dirty and just as old as the rest of the car considering it was never broken and therefore never replaced. I don't know how these jerks sleep at night. Avoid this place, bunch of dorks.

Just bought a new 2013 Passat at the end of August, and already put over 500 miles on it. The car is great, and Qurik VW is great. The sales, whose name is George, is very nice gay. He is easy and helpful, and most important we didn't spend lots of time with him and his manager to get a great deal. He patiently showed us all the functions of our new car, and also kindly gave me some advice for driving the new car. Overall I really like my experience in Quirk VW at Braintree.

I worked with Lawson Bibuld and Rachel Moozadah on a lease for a 2013 Jetta, and both couldn't have been more helpful. I was coming out from the Springfield area, and they went out of their way to do as much as we could via email, so that I could bring in my trade for appraisal, and sign the papers on the new car. Overall, I felt they listened to my requests, and worked with me as much as possible to get a deal done that worked for both sides. I was treated fairly, with none of the stereotypical car salesman tactics. I highly recommend working with Lawson and Rachel. When it's time for another lease, I wouldn't hesitate to take the ride back to Quirk.

Twice now I've left this dealership and had the same issue on the ride home. On one I can forgive because it's a check engine light, and might be more unpredictable. I put it in last week though because it was riding rough and the check engine light was on still from the first repair (and after 3600 in repairs it came back on during the ride home). I was quoted 2700 for those repairs, and it came in 1000 over that estimate. Regardless, for it riding rough they said it would be 500. I asked specifically if this would fix it because I've dropped significant money now into a 7 year old car and didn't want to invest more. They said the manager would look at it to ensure everything was fixed. Well they found another issue, but thankfully it was covered under warranty. They assured me that this would fix it. It bothered me that they wouldnt ensure it would be fixed for sure without me suggesting it, but that's another story. We pick it up and my wife drives the car for less than a mile and says it sounds worse than ever. I call them immediately and they tell me to bring it in. They test drive it around the building and determine a bearing is going. What this tells me is that they didn't test drive it before telling me to pick it up for 1. Second, they didn't really check the car to ensure that's all I would pay if it was that easy to tell what was wrong. All I got for an answer was that they didn't have a crystal ball (though this one didn't require it in my opinion), and that they could help me with the labor costs but that it would still be close to $300. I am really disappointed in this location after buying the car new there. I was planning on buying again there, but won't after going through this. I still feel that after 4500 in repairs this one should be covered. I specifically asked if it would be fixed for 500. I was assured it would be. Seems very deceptive for something so easily detectable to not be mentioned. Everywhere it says you stand by your work, and on the work order it says it was running rough. That wasn't fixed and you're "standing by your work" by making me pay for another shot at fixing the car.

I've bought 5 new cars before buying the 6th, a 2012 VW Tiguan. My experience at this dealer was by far the best I have ever had. My wife and I were shopping for several weeks and visited several Subaru (Forester) and Honda (CR-V) and couldn't decide. Most of the people we met were deceptive and misleading. Then we went to Quirk Volkswagen and within a half hour were ready to buy our new car from salesperson, Rachel Moosazadeh. Rachael was very professional, confident, friendly, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful from test driving with us, showing features of the vehicle, to help me get my license plate number, to deliver the new car to me etc. She is an excellent sales person who does not pressure us to buy a car and she is very comfortable to work with.Migul Santana, the friendly general sales manager, helped seal the deal. Bob Keough was the business manager who handled the paperwork for us. We've decided to change the names on the paperwork after we purchased the vehicle from Quirk VW. So we came back the next day and Bob already had everything prepared second time, no any complaints.Bob is outstanding! He was so helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable, super efficient, and provided the greatest service all around. Bob Keough is absolutely on the top of the list. On October 6, I leased a new 2013 Volkswagen Golf from Quirk Volkswagen, in Braintree, MA (subsequent to the lease expiration on my previous 2009 VW Beetle). I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, expedience, and accomodation of their sales team, most notably Jason Thompson, the General Manager, and John Pesente, the sales specialist. Mena Gad, the Finance Coordinator, was also exceptionally helpful. I was able to drive to their location on Saturday morning in the old car, and leave the dealership 2-3 hours later in my new 2013 graphite blue Golf. I'd been doing Google searches for "VW Golf Lease Deals" for the past two months, in anticipation of the expiration of the 2009 lease. I did a search last Friday, October 5, and the first result that came up was the offer from Quirk. I called the sales number and Jaason, the General Manager, answered the phone himself. He answered all of my questions forthrightly and quoted me the pricing on the phone. John was waiting for me when I went to the dealership the next morning. He and his team made the trade-in process quick, affordable, and simple. It was perfect.

I purchased a new car at another dealership two weeks prior and didn't like it stall. I also did not like the lack of professionalism at the other dealership. The people do not like working together and it shows. I decided to buy another car rather than living with buyer's remorse and driving a car that I didn't good driving. Since I still wanted a volkswagon, I called Quirk dealership and asked to speak to the sales manager, Miguel Santanna. II spoke with him on the phone and he answered my questions honestly. He connected me with a salesperson, Rachel, who is smart, honest, and non- pressuring. He also worked with me on price and rate and follow up questions. It made a difficult decision (to trade in a 2 week old car) easier.The bottom line: I love the TDI Passat I purchased and feel very at ease with the dealership - which is important sinceI have all car maintenance done through the dealership. I think they are fair, respectful, and customer oriented with a friendly atmosphere.

After loads of research here and on other car sites, I found the perfect car for me and drove all the way down to Braintree to get it! The price was outstanding, and I emailed Mr. Dion there about all the details of an out of state sale. Things went from an overwhelming process to doable with their support. Once I got there, salesperson Jason was really friendly and concerned about doing a good job. Then the full theatre of car dealer negotiation began. This part felt pretty pushy and my wife was not amused by it. we had to go through the trouble of getting up to go twice before they allowed our bottom line on the trade in. In the end I got a great car and a story to tell, but I would warn you about the pushiness closing out the thing. I went to my credit union for a loan, so I didn't have to deal with them on financing. The whole thing with test drive took over 4 hours, but again I was happy in the end. good Luck!

Very sneaky, felt jerked around from the moment I went there. Was told that a deal would be made with 0 down for trading out of lease into a used Tiguan. They ran numbers, jerked me around, told me they were going to give me 16k for trade in, but then just tacked 4000 onto listed price. Then later that day raised price on me again as well as online. Good experience with salesman, but not finance manager. I would not do business with Quirk at any of their many dealers.

I called and set up an appointment, he arranged for me to test drive several cars and worked out a great deal - he knew the car inside and out and was able to explain how things worked in a non-technical way for my non-technical intelligence. (I can't say this about all VW dealers as I have had two bad experiences at Paul Clark VW, which is only 5 mins from where I live, where Quirk is 25 mins away and I won't ever go to Paul Clark VW again.) I knew little about the Quirk reputation before visting this dealership... After test driving a 2011 Jetta with a seemingly amiable salesman we entered the offices to discuss numbers. I was quickly introduced to the finance manager and my visit took a turn for the worse. All of a sudden I realized this was a sleazy, distinctly high-pressure, "sign this now" atmosphere and I KNEW they were trying to take advantage of me because of my age. Totally unprofessional in bad mouthing other dealerships I had mentioned I visited prior to Quirk. I was pressured to lease the car (not purchase) today that minute, as "smart people like from Harvard or MIT" lease their cars. I was even asked if I had a boyfriend to discuss the numbers with! Talk about shockingly poor service. I will never go back nor will I recommend this dealership to ANYONE. Looking for a solid quality volkswagen dealership? Go to the VW Gallery in Norwood - they have an amazing team of real and HONEST people.

I signed a purchase agreement on an incoming 2011 Jetta TDI that I was told would be at the dealership in about 2-3 weeks. For 5 weeks I was told the car wasn't in yet and there were no status updates in the VW system. I contacted VW cutomer care to see if they could give me an approximate date of when it would be at the dealer they told me it had been delivered and registered to someone already. The date it was registered to someone else was 2 weeks after I signed a purchase agreement on that car. I had the VIN to verify also. I would avoid this dealership and there shady sales tactics. When I asked when they would be getting me another car they kept saying "I have no idea when" and made no effort to help. I ended up buying a car from another VW dealer in Boston which happens to be the number 1 rated dealer in Boston according to this site and I can see why they are.

I went to Quirk after meeting with the other dealer to do some comparison shopping on a new 2011 Jetta SE- Quirk definitely has the power to beat any deal you can find elsewhere and close the deal quickly and efficiently. They are #1 for sales in New England and want to stay that way. Remon and everyone else i worked with at Quirk was great. Car buying in general can be very stressful and time consuming but I was extremely pleased with the level of service I received.

This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Quirk VW in Braintree. In September 2010 we purchased a new VW and just purchased a pre-owned VW July 2011, both experiences were positive in every way. Every employee we had contact with at the dealership was friendly and helpful especially Bob Keogh our salesperson. The employee we dealt with was Mark Gallagher. He was very professional and made us feel comfortable as soon as he introduced himself. We had been to a couple of other VW dealerships and were not able to find the car we wanted nor were we able to work with either of the salespersons we had met. This is the second time we have leased a car from Quirk. I hate buying cars, but this place makes it so easy. Usually the ads in the newspaper are not accurate. Dealerships just use them to get you to come in. We were looking at several cars that my daughter thought she wanted to lease. She really had her heart set on a Honda CRV. After looking at the newspaper ads, we would go to a dealership only to be lied to and never getting the deal that was advertised. She was so disgusted by the whole experience, she just stopped looking for a while. I finally talked my daughter into looking at the Tiguan because 3 years ago, we co-signed a loan for a friend at Quirk after seeing an ad in the paper. We went in and the deal was exactly the deal we saw in the paper. It was such an easy and wonderful experience. I showed her an ad in the paper and she said it's probably just a lie like the last 5 we looked at. My daughter called and asked if the ad she had in her hand was true and accurate. She was told it was. We went in. We were greeted at the door by Bob Keough. He was so friendly and wonderful to work with. My daughter was so surprised at what a different experience it was at the Quirk dealership than the others she had dealt with during the past month trying to find a car. It really is so refreshing to see a car in the paper and come into the dealership and see the car that is being advertised and be offered the deal that is being advertised. No lies, no runaround. It is just a wonderful experience. The only reason I didn't give the Overall Experience a 5 is because we requested Red Sox license plates and paid the extra money for them. When we went in to pick up the car the next day, they did not have Red Sox license plates on it. We tried to get this corrected quickly, but we have not been able to do that. It's been about a week now and we hope to have this corrected by the end of next week. It is a bit of an inconvenience, but all in all the experience was very good. This past February, my husband and I purchased an Audi Q7 from a dealership in Norwood. We will never buy another car from that dealership. A horrible experience. The customer service cannot hold a candle to Quirk Volkswagon. Our salesperson, Bob Keough, was exceptional and he is definitely the reason we will come back and buy or lease another car from Quirk.

DO NOT; I repeat, DO NOT buy a car from this dealership. Quirk VW sold me a car that they represented as new and fully covered by a three-year warranty and a carefree maintenance agreement. But when I went for service at a different dealership, the VW database reported that the car was put "in service" six months before I bought it, so the carefree maintenance was void and 6 months of warranty were spent, before I even took delivery! It's been 11 months of frustration trying to get this fixed, without resolution from Quirk. Stay away from Quirk. Stay far away.

My partner and I went in for a 30k service on his 2008 VW. We ended up leaving with a 2012 EOS and 2011 Tiguan. Max and Miguel were nothing but professional and went out of their way to make us happy and see to it our needs were met! Would not buy anywhere else. the entire Quirk VW staff from sales to service is always nice and knows us on a first name basis, even though we are only in a couple times of year for service.Max was a great salesman. Never pressuring us at any point to buy our vehicles, it was a no pressure sale. He was very professional, constantly making eye contact with us when we asked questions, he was condifent and self assured never having to rely on anyone else for information. He knows the VW products inside and out.We have been doing business with Miguel since 2008 when we bought our first VW EOS and everytime we have been in for service he comes over and says hello and saks how wer are doing. In my opinion, that goes along way. they are interested in their customers long after they hand you the keys to your car. Miguel is fully invested in the happiness of his customers, making sure that they are happy.Hands down Quirk is the place to go for a new/used vehicle. Dear Mr. Quirk, Yesterday, my husband Michael and I purchased a VW Jetta wagon at your dealership. We live in New Bedford. Before we left, I asked who I could send comments to about our experience and I was told to communicate with you directly. We were helped by Miguel Santana and Bob Keough. I want to preface my remarks by saying that my husband and I trade in cars and trucks more frequently than most people. We have been to most dealerships between Boston and Cape Cod either to look or to purchase. We have done quite a bit of business with Boch because they have a fair price and because the sales experience is always a good one. They know how to treat their customers. Now, let me get to yesterday's experience at your dealership. It was beyond excellent!! It was a busy day there but both Miguel and Bob treated us as if we were the only customers there. We had an unusual situation. We had leased a Jetta sedan in September from a dealership in Fairhaven (that was not a good experience). Anyway, three months later we purchased a puppy who is going to be a large size dog. We now wished that we had purchased a wagon. We took a ride to Quirk not feeling very confident that this could be remedied and at a payment that we could feel comfortable with. Well Miguel and Bob found us a car that fit our needs and our budget. I was truly amazed. They did not stop looking for a solution to our dilema until they found it. At no time did we feel we were being pressured or that anyone was trying to play games with us. These to men made an honest effort to make us happy. I use the word honest because we have walked out of dealerships when we out looking to buy because we new all they wanted to do was take the most advantage of us that they could. My husband reads car and truck magazines every night. He researches this well before he goes car shopping. He knows that we treated very fairly yesterday. Whenever someone tells me that they are going to buy a car, I've told them to try Boch. I tell them it is worth the ride for the way they will be treated and for the service they will get after the purchase. After yesterday, I am going to tell them to try one of your dealerships because the sales experience was superior even to Boch. I am assuming that all your dealerships have the same high standards for customer service. People ask Mike and I about where to buy cars because they know how knowledgeable Mike is. In fact, my former boss asked Mike to go with him to help him buy a car. When friends and co-workers see I have another new car and ask me about it, I will definitely sing the praises of Quirk. All this really comes down to the fact that you have two outstanding employees in Miguel and Bob. They are so good at what they do that they could run trainings on customer service. I was a teacher and a guidance counselor at a vocational-technical high school for over 35 years and I always impressed upon the students the importance of customer service. I think that Miguel and Bob are very important members of the Quirk company because they understand that concept. They will bring back repeat customers. When we told Miguel that we had to leave to pick up our grandson, he expedited the paper work. As we getting in our new car to leave, Bob made sure we had his cell number and told us that he didn't care if we called once or fifty times with questions. He wanted us to be satisfied and confident about our new wagon. I could go on but I know that you have quite a business to run. I want to end by saying that we were not offered a discount or paid for this testimonial. I just believe that it feels good to get a pat on the back and it's good for you to know that you have such exceptional employees. Whenever, I have a above average experience whether buying a car or Home Depot I like to let the owners/management know. I've been a Quirk VW customer since 2000 and bought 4 Passat's from them since. Just purchased a 2010 Passat yesterday (will review separately). I rated the service department a 5 on all counts except price. Let's face it, dealer service comes at a premium. Labor and some mark-ups can be high. I bought wear and tear items - e.g., tires, batteries - elsewhere. But for oil changes, seasonal & maintenance service and all warranty work it's Quirk. The service staff is efficient and friendly. I usually get Patrick Foley and he's been excellent. He's knowledgable about VW and honest. He explains options and doesn't try to sell unnecessary services. Passats are unique (quirky?) and I'd never trust my car to a general mechanic. The technicians at Quirk are experts and have always fixed any issues right the first time. I highly recommend them.

I purchased a used '07 Passat 3.6 4motion wagon from Quirk in April of '10. The sales experience was relatively quick and painless. I was looking to trade my car in and Quirk offered a really good price on my trade. I wasn't yet sold on it yet and opted to sleep on it. Once I knew I wanted to deal, I contacted Kenny and Rachel and arranged a time to sit and deal. After a little back and forth we came to an agreement on price and surprisingly we even negotiated on the interest rate. (the initial rate offered was high for my taste) I simply said I like the price, the trade in amount offered, but I wanted a more competitive rate. They came back with a lower rate and we did the deal. I made plans to trade in my car and pick up the new one the following Saturday. I came in, we quickly got to the paperwork while the trade was being completed and the plates swapped. There was a little bit of a wait for the DMV processing, so I took a stroll around the lot. A short time later, I was handed my keys, the paper work and someone helped me move a couple of things from my old car to the new one. They had the car I wanted, weren't afraid to deal and when the time came, they were really quick and efficient at getting me into the new ride and on my way.Fast forward 7 months...My wife and I are purchasing a new house and the mortgage underwriters wanted documentation of the trade in and pay off of the trade line for my old car. Much of our stuff (and documents) were moved to off site storage and I couldn't locate the docs. I emailed the sales dept on Sunday and asked if someone could assist in getting copies for me. Mark Gallagher responded Sunday night by email saying that he would get the info for me. Sure enough, Monday morning came and I received an email from Mark saying that he had the info and would fax to me. A few minutes later, the fax arrived and it was exactly what we needed.Given that i made my car purchase 7 months ago, there really wasn't any immediate incentive for Mark to locate and provide the documents...Other than helping a Quirk customer. If we're ever in the market for another VW, we'll be calling Quirk.

Recently I took my car in to get A LOT of work done to it. It started out that it might be an easy fix but after further investigation it got interesting. Both service representatives were aware that this fix would put me in the hole quite a bit. They kept my informed the entire time my car was being serviced providing me with daily updates. They worked with my extended warranty company to get as much as covered as possible. I was impressed with the way they answered questions that I had and also impressed that they did not get annoyed at the amount of updates I demanded. Miguel Santana is an exceptional, consultative salesman. He made me very comfortable from the get go and took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for in a new car. He had me pegged for a CC early on, despite my efforts to make a conservative, "transactional" purchase of a Jetta. I give Quirk VW a high rating and Miguel is the reason for that. He helped me with a difficult situation involving 2 trades, one with significant negative equity. I left the satisfied driver of a new CC, which was really the car that I wanted. A very long time ago, I had an experience with Quirk in Quincy that was just unpleasant enough that I would not go back to Quirk. I have since purchased quite a few VW's from other dealers, so when my friend wanted to look at cars at Quirk Braintree, I was skeptical but, like I said, it had been a long time so I figured we'd give it a go. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by Miguel, and after spending literally hours with him, I was impressed. So impressed, that when it came time for negotiations and there was a little "confusion" with management and the deal was going south...I did not walk out the door. Miguel saved the deal. He is personable, respectful, funny, smart and an all-around nice guy. He combines the right amount of professionalism and respect but can make you feel like you have known him for years. I was in the market for a used VW, went to several dealerships looking for a good price. I test-drove a used VW at Quirk, but was hesitant about buying used. Bob Keough and the sales manager Jason made me an outstanding offer on a new car that I would have been a fool to refuse. Additionally they gave me top-dollar for my trade-in. I could not have asked for a better experience. Bob Kough was so helpful, and honest. I normally cannot stand car salesmen because, lets face it, they can be shady. I did not get that vibe from Bob at all. He was great! So easy to deal with, worked hard to make this deal. Delivered my new car in a timely fashion AND he has been available via phone and email for questions. He actually calls back!! If you're in the market for a new/used car. Go to Quirk VW first - don't waste your time with other dealerships - seriously. Even if Quirk is far to drive, just do it. Ask for Bob Keough - don't waste your time with anybody else. He is the best, I've bought a lot of cars over the years, and have never, ever written a review - that's how impressed I am with the service I was given. This was not my first car buying experience so walking into it I felt like I knew what to expect from the dealership, salesman, and what to and not to look for in a car. I can honestly say though I was not prepared for, and was amazed by what I found. I went to a few dealerships drove a few cars and then driving home one night saw a little red Jetta that I knew was the one. I talked to the salesman who gave me a good deal right away and said he was going on vacation and that I could think about it and come back in a few days and work with his friend since it was already past closing time that evening. I did just that, got a loan through my husbands and my bank and was so excited. I went back two days later and started the paper work. With each step of the process the salesman put up road blocks. He created unnecessary stress and wanted my husband and I driving back and forth to the dealership multiple times a day for paper work that could just as easily have been faxed and saved us hours in the car and away from work. I finally said I dont care if the commission he is earning off this sale is $1.00, it is $1.00 he doesnt deserve and I WONT pay him or pay interest on for the next 5years. Suddenly my search became transformed into a search for a car salesman, I no longer cared about the car, I just wanted to do business with a nice genuine person. I went to close to ten other dealerships in New England looking at many cars and found many that I would have been happy to have but each time it was the salesman that I didnt fit what I was looking for. Finally, after driving almost 2hours south of Boston and having another bad salesman experience my Dad insisted that we stop at Quirk on the way back because we were driving by it anyway. It was cold and pouring rain and not what you expect in the middle of August but as we got out of our car a smiling face came running out into the rain, Bob Keough. He asked me what I want and I said a Jetta and he said they had 500 and I needed to be more specific. I told him my price range and he showed me a few none of which wowed me. When I found one that wowed me it of course was sold. He asked what he could do to get me in the car I wanted, little did he know that he was already doing it. Just by caring, being nice, and a genuine person. I said I wanted one just like the one that was sold and he pulled one exactly like it except a little newer out of his hat. I didnt even want to drive it, I was so tired and burned out on car shopping and salesman and mostly disappointment, but he insisted. We got in and he showed me all the bells and whistles and we noticed a brochure for a car seat in the glove box. We noticed 2 of the handles on the ceiling were hanging pretty loosely and there were three small spots where coco had gone flying. He guaranteed me that his service department could shine it up like new and then made sure to point out even though the child had obviously been a monkey the previous owners had taken such good care of the car that the rims looked brand new not a scratch in sight! The moral of my story is that in this economy with car sales being at a 28year low all car salesmen should care about their customers the way Bob Keough does. I can honestly say I will not waste my time going anywhere else, cars are a dime a dozen and quirk has thousands to choose from but a genuine salesman is a diamond in the rough!

When i asked my salesperson about the deal she immediately took me outside and showed me several Tiguans which I could lease for my budget(pleasant surprise) However she also showed me a Jetta Sportwagen which was fully loaded,came in my favorite color,and did not require premium fuel!!! I hate buying cars! But when I pulled into Quirk VW with my wife, we were greeted by Bob Keough, the nicest sales person we have ever met. His professionalism and knowledge of the cars gave me a new outlook on car salesmen! The car my wife wanted was the VW EOS, a hard top convertible. Bob took his time to show her everything about the car and even took her on several test drives. We bought the car and and she loves it! When my wife is happy, I am happy. Thanks Bob.By the way... My experience with Mr. Keough was not my first. My wife purchased a used car from him before I purchased mine. Years later when I needed a car he was the first person I thought of. It was nice to find out he was still the same. He was polite, sincere and always seemed to go over and above to make sure we were happy. I'd been car searching for about a month. I'd been to a few dealers to test drive different vehicles including the Ford Edge, Toyota Venza and finally the Volkswagon Touareg. At the Ford Dealership I went to, surprisingly no one even came out when we were on the lot. At the Toyota Dealership I test drove on a Thursday and went back on Monday after making my deal on the phone to find they had bait and switched me. After such a major disappointment I was ready to be defensive and aggressive when I arrived at Quirk Volkswagen in Braintree. I had spoken to Jason Thompson on the phone earlier in the day and when I arrived I was greeted by Miguel Santana. I then found out that Jason was the Sales Manager and Miguel would be my main point of contact. But Jason was involved every step of the way and remembered me when I returned to have dFence installed in my car. Miguel was funny, courteous, knowledgeable, down to earth, and exceeded my expectations for customer service. His passion for Volkswagen is evident as is his desire to truly help you get the car you want, not the car he wants you to buy. I knew what I could afford and was honest with Miguel and he worked with me, and was honest with me (a rare trait in car salesmen) and I was able to drive home the same night in my beautiful 2008 Touareg with extremely low miles at a price I could afford. I met Matthew Venturini when they were getting my car ready to take home. He informed me about some additional options for protection for my new major purchase and when I explained to him that, while I agreed you can't put a price tag on piece of mind, I was pretty well maxed out on my monthly payment, he worked with me to get some great extras at an affordable price. I should also mention that the location of this dealership is a good hour plus from where I live, it's too bad because I'd love to have my vehicle serviced here, but it was worth the trip for purchasing it!I haven't bought a car in quite a while and it's an experience I think most of us dread. However, my experience at Quirk Volkswagen in Braintree was easy, fast, and exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process. I've recommended them to co-workers and friends and I recommend them to anyone reading this as well.

Took delivery 3 hours ago of a VW CC for my fiance. Excellent car and delaership! It was well worth the hour drive!! We dealt with Quirk Braintree, Atamian, Commonwealth, Seacoast, Quirk VW Manchester NH (4 of these dealerships are 20 mins from my home). We chose Quirk VW Braintree. I called VW Braintree and got Jason the sales manager right off the bat- I explained the numbers from other places, he beat the price right over the phone within 5 mins and said when would you like to come down. We went to Braintree the next morning at 8:30, car was sitting waiting- Our Sales Rep was Joseph Andrade- EXTREMELY knowledgeable about VW, the rest is history. I was nervous about Quirk being high preassure/high volume sales but it was just the opposite. As soon as we walked in the door EVERYONE was helpful, assertive, and polite. No numbers changed at any point, everything was just as discussed over the phone. Matthew handled the finance aspect of the deal- very nice and helpful. Joseph our sales rep just spent an hour with us showing us the car for delivery, setup the bluetooth, radio, etc, and answered all our questions promptly and accurately. The price was unbeatable and for a car buying experience- flawless.

Too pushy and dog & pony for my liking. The sales guy never listened to a word I said, attempting to push me to his sale. It back fired! How this technique is supposed to work is beyond me. The hype was extreme and the communications were beyond terrible. Assuming the sale is one thing but you have to get the customer in the door first. The dealer had little inventory to choose from (GTI) and the pricing was only so-so. The turn off was Jason and his over kill approach. Stay away from here if you want a clean deal or the ability to express your purpose in shopping VW. Too "know it all" and cocky, a real disservice, a complete waste of time.

I brought my 2005 VW Jetta in to be looked at because it has not been wanting to start in the morning the first time I turn the key. I recommended they keep the car overnight because they needed to try and replicate the issue in the morning. I spent $825 to replace the ignition coil pack, wires and spark plugs (even though my spark plugs were only 18,000 miles old) and they recommended some carbon build-up needed to be cleaned out. Then they gave me back my car the same day I brought it in. I was never given any alternatives to replacing these parts, such as cleaning the relatively new spark plugs, etc. The next morning I started my car and the issue had not been fixed. I took my car back in a few days later. I was given a rental and four days later after being told they were not sure what the issue was they called me to pick up my car. When I got there they charged me $120 for the rental car even though they had not fixed my car as I found out when I got in it at the dealership to start it. Needless to say, my car still does not want to start the first time I turn the key in the morning. These mechanics and service reps are ridiculous. I am told their computers cannot diagnose the problem because my car starts up the second time you try. Are they all so incompetent that they have no real diagnostic skills and only rely on their fancy computers to do their work? I will NEVER go back to Quirk VW in Braintree and because of my experience with VW's service center I will NEVER buy a VW again nor recommend anyone else to buy one.I am out almost $1,000 and my car still is not fixed. Did I mention that I have an extended warranty that I bought directly from VW? Yeah, a lot of help that was. It only covered about $300 of parts and work and the $1,000 came straight out of my own pocket.

My wife and I had been in the market to purchase a new Volkswagon Touareg since October of last year due to the birth of our son. After many hours of internet research, and visiting different dealerships within a 100 mile radius, we finally made our decision to buy at Quirk Volkswagon in Braintree. What started out as an attempt to get exactly what we wanted for the lowest price eventually didn't relate to the cheapest $$$ equals the best deal. From the momement we arrived at the dealership and was greeted by Geri to the time we drove off in our new Touareg, she and the management team treated us with respect and answered all our inquiries in a business-like manner, and we didn't feel as if we were being pressured to buy. We paid more money than we would have from other dealership quotes, but we feel it was fair, and we will go back there for service and recommend Quirk, and Geri to our friends to buy a new or used car.

Both Bruce Kelly and Patrick Foley treat me with respect and courteously each and every visit. I have spoken directly to the head mechanic Jeff Blounce and he does a great job explaining to me what exactly is going on with my car on the few times there was an issue. We wanted to gather information about availability and price as efficiently as possible so we sent emails to all the dealers in the area - everyone single one responded. Right from the start and with no negotiation, Quirk was near the top, beating some of the others by over $5000 dollars. Seriously, if you're not using the Internet to buy a car in this day and age you are getting screwed; Quirk understands this and has a team of people to handle these requests - FAST and PRICE COMPETITIVE.We were delighted by how responsive Mark Gallagher was. He responded to our inquiry very quickly. He gave us absolutely no run around, didn't start off with some crazy high 'moon-shot' price to have us endure pointless days of negotiation (we're Internet shoppers - we know the invoice price of the car!), or suggest that we "come in and take a look around the showroom" even though we already indicated that we knew what we wanted. Mark Gallagher understands what people shopping for cars on the Internet are looking for and he delivers. When we arrived at the dealership to purchase the car, we were blown away. The level of service we received was astounding! We were trying to accomplish a lot in one visit to the dealer and arrived later than our intended time, so it put enormous pressure on their team to get the paperwork in place before the insurance office closed. But, they miraculously did it. We worked with Geri Jones, who was a fantastic sport, kept her cool when we encountered road blocks, and kept her eye on the prize which was making sure we left with our car. She was knowledgeable, funny, and warm, and inspired great confidence in the dealership. Geri even introduced me to a new (very cool) app for my I-phone. We live far from Quirk and leased the car there because it was the most competitive offer with the least amount of back-and-forth to come to terms. We never considered returning to that dealership for service on the vehicle, but based on our experience obtaining this lease, we are seriously considering it. It's a fantastic place.

Took our Jetta in for an oil change, and after about 4 hours, got a call telling us they stripped and broke the bolt holding the oil pan on and that because we didn't take it to them last time they refused to pay the $400 for a new oil pan, which they already replaced, without consulting with us about it. Spoke with the service manager who blew us off and just kept telling us that "it wouldn't have happened if we took it to them the last time." And that the last dealership to do the oil change "overtightened" the bolt. After a back and forth for weeks, and eventually contacting the Better Business Bureau, and Quirk Corporate offices, they eventually refunded our money, minus the oil change. I would never buy a vehicle there, if the sales people are as bad as the service people, nor will I ever take a car to get serviced there again.

I bought a new 2010 Jetta from VW Wellesley last Saturday and I couldnt be happier! After having an extremely frustrating experience with Quirk I ended up at Wellesley pleasantly surprised to find the sales people happy, friendly, and very straight forward. Models- I had called earlier in the week and spoken with Kenny about a 2010 SE model- black with black interior. When I arrived they showed me a 2010 Limited Edition which is a different car. Not a great radio, no chrome around the windows, etc. I was frustrated that I was told the car I wanted was actually there when in fact it wasnt. This frustration was only exacerbated by the sales person who told me the SE model no longer existed in 2010 despite the fact it is still listed on www.vw.com. From there they tried to sell me the 2009 model which was priced higher than the 2010 model with a higher APR of 3.9% (2010 APR is 1.9%). Pricing- What was also difficult was discussing the price of the cars. I had told them I had a 2002 Sentra for trade-in, but without anyone asking me for keys and actually evaluating my car, they included the trade-in value in the deal without explaining that. Very poor transparency around pricing.Discounts- Lastly I had received coupons from Quirk the day before coming in and I was first told the coupons I had printed were old and from Presidents Day (which was not true according to the email), then I was told they could not honor the 120% of kelly blue book as they had offered in the email. Overall I left confused and very frustrated. Buying a new car should be exciting. I ended up getting an amazing deal on a 2010 SE model (which is still available) with a wonderful trade-in value at Wellesley and I only wished I had gone to them first.

I just completed a long distance purchase of a used Touareg with Quirk VW and their internet sales manager, Mark Gallagher and the transaction went perfectly. Mark was responsive, always available and provided every piece of information I needed in a timely manner.We settled on a price within 5 minutes and there was never a point where they tried to raise the price or pack the deal.Mark even arranged financing for me at a rate competitive with what I was able to find locally making it an even simpler transaction once I got there.I closed the deal in person and the GM, Jason and the business manager Jeff took very good care of me.When I got back to Florida and realized I needed an additional piece of paperwork they over nighted it to me without question.Since I was shipping the car back they made sure everything was in order and emailed me when the carrier arrived to pick it up.I can't speak to their service department but I did speak with their service manager looking to get a complete history of the car and he was perfectly willing to pull the reports and go over them with me in detail.Overall a very solid deal on a great low mileage, late model used car with plenty of factory warranty left.

I bought a new Jetta from Quirk a month ago. It was my first time ever buying a car, and I had a great experience at Quirk. Mark helped me out, was never pushy, and made me feel comfortable. I told him it was my first car, and he made me feel really good about the purchase and the terms, etc. The test drive was great, and when I went to pick up the car just a few days later, Mark showed me all of the features and buttons and even programed the satellite radio for me. A few weeks later I had some questions, and Mark and his team were very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Quirk to anyone interested in VWs. They have the best selection in the area, so the car you want will probably be in stock.

Recently went to buy a pre-owned car and I'll never recommend anyone to visit this crappy place to anyone.We saw the internet price of the car as 14,999 and when we went in the guy told us it is 16,299,when we said we saw the price as 14,999, the sales guy went to his manager and came back and told us he could give for 14,999, I asked him for 12,000 initially and the sales guy again went to his manager and this time the manager himself came and told us he can't do it less than 14,000, i asked him if he could do replace the leather seats since there were torn andwornout and the jerk manager simply tells us no and literally gets up and leaves ,literally asking us to get out, after this he goes to his other sales members and was joking about my offer right in front of us. I am planning to pursue legal option to see if i can teach this guy a lesson about customer service.The sales manager is Real jerk.Please avoid buying from these guys.They cheat on the actual price and you are treated badly on top of this.

My wife and I were in the market for a wagon, so we stopped by Quirk to take a look at their selection of used Passats. Right away, I was approached by a sales guy who was a little too quick to try to hustle me.First we took a look at a Passat Wagon that was FWD when I clearly stated that I was in the market for a 4 Motion Wagon. The guy lied to me and said "This one is a 4 Motion" I told him it wasn't for two reasons...A. No 4 motion badging B. The front wheels spun as I showed him the torque steer and wheel spin associated with a FWD VW VR6. The guy lied again and said that "Some 4 Motions don't have badging and that even AWD cars have front end torque steer and front wheel hop". Funny, because I drove into the lot with my Audi and have never managed to chirp the front wheels with it!!!!Don't get me started on the filthy interior and molded carpet. The car obviously had serious leaks and sun damage as both the carpet and seats were damaged beyond repair.Then, the guy tried to pass a RWD Mercedes wagon off as a 4 Matic. What??? Again, no badge and the difference in Rwd and Awd is clearly apparent. This car was drastically overpriced and had about 75k miles on it and probably suffered from a loss of compression because it was very weak driving off the lot.Here's the real kicker...I told this guy that the wagon has to be Awd because it was for my wife to use in driving our newborn daughter around in the snow and ice. What a scumbag for trying to pass a Mercedes RWD wagon off as a 4 matic. The guy gave me line after line of bad used car salesmanship. "What's it gonna take to get you into a car today???" "You look like a guy who knows what he wants" "Its the right car, at the right price, so whats the problem?

I had contacted lots of dealers only to get all the BS, come on in let's talk etc.etc. I was only looking for the best price. I called Mark Gallagher and told him what I wanted, he said I'll call you back in 10 minutes. HE DID. He gave me the best price, and said the car could be ready by 5:00 pm. IT WAS. I went in to Quirk VW in Quincy expecting the typical dealer atmosphere, but got something completely different. Before walking in, I looked on their website to find either a 2007 or 2008 Rabbit. I picked out a white 07 and as soon as I clicked "subit" I got a call from Mark Gallagher who helped me through the entire deal. It blew me away how he was like no other salesman. Considerate, understanding and reasonable it's something that is missing in sales these days Mark proved me wrong. He understood my credit situation and worked with several banks in order to get the right financing. Quirk got my APR slashed in half and got me down to 60 months instead of the 72 months I expected. If you're thinking of the old quirk, think again. They did a complete 180 and put other New England Dealerships to shame. Thanks Mark! I love my Rabbit!

Bought a brand new Vw 06 Passat. Car had leaked the first time it rainedon both sides of the front. they replaced windshield. I brought the car to a autobody shop to repair a parking lot dent in the rear. When the body shop opened the rear panal the owner of the body shop asked me if this was a used car? I told him it was a new car and it only had 40 miles on it when I bought it. I was then told by the body shop that the roof had been replaced and was shown weld marks that were on the rear panals of the car that were repaired. also the whole car had been repainted with the exception of the front fenders. When I brought this to Quirk Vw attention they offered to give me another passat with less options for my car plus $1000.00 out of my pocket. I found this to be unacceptable and they bought the car back from me for what I paid for it -$1000.00. and sign a statement that I would no longer have any legal recourse in this matter. I called Vw customer care and they sent me a $1000.00 voucher toward the purchase of a new vw.

"What can I help you accomplish today?" HAAAA!I bought a used 2002 Honda Odyssey from Quirk in October 2005. The negotiations were difficult and stressful (like most car buying expereinces) but I think we got a pretty good deal in the end. The problem came when we bought the extended warranty (I know we should have avoided that but anyway..). When we got the paperwork from the insurance company a few months later I found that a mistake had been made. I had bought a policy for 4 years and 50,000 add'l miles; what I got was a policy for 4 years and 50,000 TOTAL miles (in my case 20,000 miles). I informed Quirk of this in January 2006 and they said they would take care of it. I called back a few months later, and they said they would take care of it. This occured continuously for 10 months! I always asked that they call me back when they had things worked out and they would NEVER CALL ME BACK. Finally I dealt with Chris Trombino who would at least not pretend to deny he ever heard of me when I called back. After almost a year of fruitlessly having these clowns try to fix the policy I decided just to cancel it. THEN I had to deal with trying to get the refund. Michael Quirk, the GM, has no idea what customer service is. I think what got to me the most is that when they answer the phone at Quirk they give you that ""What can I help you accomplish today?" line. What a laugh. Given how long it took for me to get any satisfaction, they should consider changing it to "What can I help you accomplish sometime maybe when we feel like it next year or so?" Avoid these guys if you can help it.

The Sales Group at Quirk Volkswagen could be likened 1-to-1 with a sleezy snake oil salesman. If you don't get EVERYTHING they say on paper, they will lie right to your face and tell you there is nothing you can do about it. I even dealt with the General Manager, who is a brother of the owner, and he is as sleezy as the whole bunch. Once they made their sale, they hurried us out the door and were absolutely rude and less than helpful when we returned with problems. We bought a Toureg from them and without a doubt, their Navigation systems are the worst I have ever used in any auto. They have refused to help us remedy this and told us that they would not do anything for us. The GM lied to my face and denied any previous conversation. Given another chance, I would probably still buy a Toureg, but never in a million years would I go back to Quirk VW in Quincy except in my nightmares! I would recommed you shop around and be wary of their slick moves and lies. They should be very ashamed at how they treat people, especially when they don't know if you have friends looking to buy. I've already told 3 people to try for themselves and they were very turned off by Quirk. Try for yourself, but don't say I didn't warn you.

While I did get a great price on my car, I don't really think they had any choice. They needed to dump their existing stock. Everything else was a hassle. Marion was a good guy, it's the sales manager that is a complete jerkoff. They say they are doing things when they are not, drag their feet on providing you with paperwork. Plus, they tried to recoup some money by pushing the extended warranty scam on me. Apparently that salesboy, don't know his name, doesn't understand "No thank you" as he ignored me repeatedly.<br><br>All in all, it is a very poorly run dealership. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go elsewhere. Unless they are dumping cars and then take advantage of their situation.

399.00 fee added to price of car. get up and walk out and price will be cut in half,all of a sudden your trade is worth 200.00 more. Make sure you get advertised price for car dealer tried to over-charge me 1200.00. on an advertised car. when asked about 399.00 fee was told mr quirk adds this to all his cars. If this is in fact true then I would say all his cars in the newspaper are not the lowest and say this is false advertisment.
