Everyone at this dealership was nice, professional and very helpful. They bent over backwords to help me find the right car for my needs and help me with price and financing. I really couldn't have had a better experience than I had here. Lance was the internet sales manager who really made it a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a Honda. The facility is beautiful.

Very pleased Ron munday spent a lot of time to find a new lease for us that would be similar payment. He ended up finding a great deal and a beautiful new accord that we are thrilled about. He went above and beyond to help us make it work out and treats you as he would want to be treated if he were the buyer. If your looking for a Honda and want honesty and a great deal he will make sure you get it. Highly recommend him and the whole staff and financial manager all were great it was a great experience and thank you ! Sue F. We will be back soon!

This is a very clean, organized, and spacious dealership. The internet sales manager Lance Curtis is polite, knowledgeable and experienced. He did not push you like many sales did. Rather he just asked what you were looking for, found what were available, and helped you get the best possible deal from the financial guys. After the deal was closed, he showed me the many features of the vehicle that I bought. Among the 100 cars in inventory at this dealership, only one was what I was looking for. This may as well be one of the few in Orange County, silver CR-V AWD touring. AWD is a must because I am a skier.

Our RSM experience was a scene out a horror movie. It started out all nice and professional. Our first encounter was with Pablo (General Sales Manager). He came out and quickly shook our hand and then disappeared. We were sat down with Victor Ashna, who took a while to type things. But we were patient. He asked for my wife's social and I inquired as to why. He said oh after 9/11 we need to do this. I told him, OK. But do not run her credit. We have been pre-approved from Schools First FCU. He promised that no credit would be run. After half an hour of Victor going and coming from his desk, we were told to go to Reza Zenjani. This is where the real nightmare began. Instead of welcoming us, he acted as if we were bothering him. He is starting the finance paperwork and said to my wife, that here is a copy of your credit score. I being the dotting husband interrupted as to why did you run her credit score as we did not want a hard inquiry on her report. She has excellent credit by the way. I told Reza that "I am confused." He gave me an angry and a domineering glare stating "You should not be confused." I told him to bring Pablo in the room so that we can clear it up. When Pablo came in, he said that we run the credit as a backup so that we have a second contract in place in case the first one falls through. I told him that we did not request nor authorized to run her credit as we already had secured our finance through our credit union. He said, oh sorry for any misunderstanding. He left swiftly as he came inReza called in Victor and said he needs to have us fill out a credit card application with both of our information since our credit union pre-approval was under both of our names. I did not understand why, but I complied. In order to speed up the process, Victor had me doing his job part-time and type for him the application sitting in his chair while he watched me fill it out. While I was filling it out, the horror continued with my wife and Reza. He told her to verify her birth date, she said it is incorrect on the form he typed. He stated "It is?" in a loud voice. Then he corrected it and then had her verify my birthday, which was also incorrect. My wife was thinking at that point, why is this guy pounding on his key and why does he have the information incorrect when he has a copy of our diver license in front of him.At this point, my wife went to look for Pablo. All this time, my father-in-law is sitting in there watching the whole situation. Reza asks him in a loud voice "Where is that girl with the credit card"? We were going to put 3,000 of our purchase on the card. It seemed like all this time, we were working for Reza instead of the other way around. My wife by this time found Pablo and told him that we are walking out because we do not want to work with Reza. He swiftly got out of this chair and said he will handle the paperwork.Pablo quickly had us sign all the paperwork and had us out the door. However, in the almost two hours we spent here, the car did not have the gas filled up. So I ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes while Victor brought the car with a full gas tank. I was left in the parking by myself waiting for the car. No one congratulated on our purchased or offered us any package deals that we have been interested in. No one called us the next day to apologize for this horrible service. I had even mentioned to Pablo in the passing that maybe we should get a few free car washes for this terrible service, but it fell on deaf years.

We are reviewing the manual and going through the features that way. We were not expecting to treated like stars, but neither we were expecting to be treated as if we were going to go pick up a used car from a mechanic.

My wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law have lost any faith that they had at the beginning of the transaction with RSM Honda. This is one dealership we will not recommend to our friends, family and anyone who is willing to listen to our horror story. We even sent an email to Bob (the owner) of the company, but I am sure he has other people who reply for him. We are just one voice and they sell hundreds of cars a year. But I tell other people to pick up the fight, find their voice, and share your experience so future customers do not suffer such atrocity. Who knew that spending almost 20,000 does not come with respectable, honest, fair and good customer service? I guess we had to learn it this way

Started on the internet. Found the CRV I wanted. Lance promptly followed up, without being pushy what so ever. He and the dealership were friendly, answered all my questions about the car. The process was very quick, and easy. This was my first time leasing a vehicle, and I have to say the experience overall was excellent. I will highly recommend Santa Margarita Honda to all family and friends. Thanks again.

Looking for a Honda, Ron Munday at Rancho Santa Margarita Honda will hook you up! He gives great service, and is not pushy like other dealerships that I've been to. Nate, and Gitano are two others, in different departments that are also equally amazing. I love how you're treated as a person, and not as a sale. Process was quick, painless, and did not make you think twice about the decision you just made. The Honda Accord Sport is my second Honda, and I am in love. My sister also got her 2015 Honda from this same dealership, and loves hers as well. Thanks to everyone here at Rancho Santa Margarita Honda! Thank you! You Rock!

Recently leased a Honda CR-V through this dealership, and I had a great experience. All of the representatives were very helpful, answered all of my questions, and didn't pressure me into making any decisions like most other dealerships. They made every effort to work with me, and to make this a pleasant experience. Before leasing a car through them, I went to a few other dealerships that were less than mediocre, to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised by this dealership's professionalism and the effort they put into helping their clients. I would definitely do business with them again, and would recommend friends and family to this dealership.

As a first time buyer you look for not only for the car you really want, a great deal, but also excellent customer service; drove 2 hrs to get to this dealer (worth every second) at RSMHonda dealer this is exactly what I got. I was able to buy my first car on my own through the help of a great salesman, RON. He not only made me feel so welcomed since the first call but he also made me feel sure about my decision and the deal I was getting. I believe he has all the elements of a great salesman. GITANO at financials provided me with a friendly service, very professional & helpful. Thank you guys for helping me make my first big financial decision.

Ron Munday was the salesman who helped me when I came in to buy my pre-owned Accord. No pressure. Answered my questions, and made me feel welcome. I forgot the sales managers name I think Mark, but he gave me a great rate and I left super happy. Oh and the finance gave me no hard pressure and I ended up getting the alarm he recommended! I felt like family here.

Beware of paying more than needed for service here. For example, changing a starter with labor is $655 here, versus other places that charge $375 and $450 with the same part for the model of car I have. Of course they will tell you that the part does not come with a 3 year warranty, mind you the part cost about $80, refurbished. They will insult your intelligence and mock you telling you, "You don't want a part from a junk yard!" With a big arrogant attitude on top. They want you to pay $375 for their refurbished part. You can always take your starter to Autozone or Pepboys to check if it works, before you spend boatloads of money changing it. The service tech was insistent, arrogant and pushy when I asked for a through diagnostic of the problem at hand. He said that they do not provide this. His experience with GM, as he kept bragging about, made him the ultimate expert in his mind of trouble shooting. Unfortunately, his know-it-all attitude blinds him to listening to the customers' genuine concerns. His ultimate goal was to UPSELL me a service for $655.00 regardless! He was rude to his own mechanic tech in front of me and it was just so sad to see that. At other dealers the mechanics will walk you through their troubleshooting and how they came up with their diagnosis, without being rude, and without making you feel bad for even asking. Hello, who is paying here? It was more like, PAY and don't ask questions! The service technician's explanations were so forceful and at that point I realized I was dealing with someone who was blinded by their own ignorance that there was no point in dealing with him anymore. I've had my cars serviced at Honda Dealers for over 20 years and was satisfied every time. This is the first time that I have had a negative experience. This is a small dealer. I've seen dealers like this before and I've also seen them go out of business with time. I've worked with so many mechanics, kind, friendly folks, generous in sprit, willing to take time to let me know their thinking process, how they troubleshoot, cool, calm, collected. I've been lucky in that regard. At the RSM Honda, I paid $125 for a diagnosis by a mechanic who was non-existent, even though Steven said he would visit with us and let us know about the diagnosis. First he said, "Oh, he's heading to go home, so you will not be able to speak with him." Upon returning to pick up the car he said, "He'll be here in a minute so he can discuss the situation with you." Didn't happen. I guess customers are just ignorant fools in the eyes of this dealership. When you arrive, they'll ignore you for quite sometime. You'll wonder if they are open for service. They really need to upgrade how they do things here, or else, eventually, their lack of tact will put them out of business, if something else doesn't already. They have lost our business for good. I'd like to note though that there are kind folks there at this dealer and it is sad for them to feel and work around that arrogant energy. Number one rule in life is RESPECT. That's all. That's it. It's simple. Tone it down and stop trying to dominate the customer. Also, don't be SARCASTIC, such a terrible human trait. Reflects so poorly on the one being totally sarcastic. It's unprofessional. Kindess and respect is what sells. Patience is what sells. Be at ease. Pushiness is old fashioned. This is the 21st Century, evolve already!

I wanted to purchase a new car for my wife for our 10 yr wedding anniversary. I needed the purchase to be simple and quick so I could do it without my wife knowing what was going on. I decided I would do my shopping online with hopes to finalize the pricing via email and over the phone so I could just walk in the dealership, sign, and drive away with the car. If I was going to be gone all day my wife would know something was going on. I reached out to several dealers and received responses with a wide range of pricing. My initial thought was go with the cheapest quote. Long story short, I went to the cheapest quoted dealership and found that they were lying to me about the price of the car. I was so mad and it almost messed up my surprise for my wife. Justin from RSM Honda was truthful from the beginning and made the buying process unbelievably simple. Once we agreed on the price over the phone I set an appointment with him. He had the car all ready to go and I just came in to sign the papers and the car was all mine. To top it all off Justin is a Marine Veteran who was a Presidential Guard on the Presidents Helicopter. That is so cool! I have never purchased a car from someone I trusted like I trust Justin. He is the best car salesman I have ever known in the way he treats his customers and conducts business. RSM Honda is very fortunate to have him as their Internet Manager. Thank you Justin for helping me surprise my wife with a new Honda on our 10yr wedding anniversary.

I found a great deal on a 2012 Honda CRV. RSM had the best price and I made an appointment with Justin to go and see the car in person. It was just as nice as in the photos and their staff couldn't have been easier to deal with. I did quite a bit of price shopping and they really do have good prices. I would definitely recommend RSM Honda to anyone looking for a new or used car.

I just had the best car buying experience of my life at Rancho Santa Margarita Honda. I dealt with Justin in Internet Sales and he was very helpful and not pushy at all. I got a great deal on a CRV and I couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend RSM Honda to anyone looking for a new or used car.

I drove from Las Vegas to RSM Honda to buy a pre-owned certified 2012 Honda Odyssey. A day before I exchanged e-mails and phone calls with Ed Foutch, their Internet Manager and he secured me that the car is in a great condition, just a few minor scratches but ready to go. I drove 270 miles to the dealer and I noticed the car was extremely dirty on exterior and interior. I found inside the car leftovers, spilled drinks on the seats, floor and ceiling, ants everywhere. The front tires were in a very bad shape even if they claimed they are reached the minimum standards, big scratches on the hood. The car, by that time, was for 48 days out for sale. This Honda Certified 2012, 25k miles was a lease return but it looked like a 10 years old car on inside. They didn't even bothered themselves to clean up the car. It was a big disrespect for a costumer who wanted to make a deal that day. I agreed to wait a couples of hours for detailing but after all this the car had a strong horrible odor inside and I refused to make the deal. How is possible to certify so easy a car like this? The car should be spotless, even it has 2 years old. Mr. Ed Foutch, the Internet Manager was a very pleasant person at the phone and when I met him early in the morning. After a few hours he became pushy, irritated to any questions I asked about car condition and at the end he was rude and angry. He didn't even apologied for all this mess. I left saying good-bye but he didn't get time to answer me back. Mr. George Hogan, the General Sales Manager tried to fix the issues, he was nice and polite but he looked like he really doesn't want to sell this car. Everything and everybody looked very unprofessional and having no interest in selling the car. I'm extremely disappointed.

Mark Helms is the best! I was looking to buy a CR-V EXL AWD with Navigation. Since the dealer didn't have one on their lot, it was necessary for them to search surrounding dealer's inventory. Mark stayed in touch with me through the process and within 3 days he had located and delivered the exact vehicle I wanted. I knew what I wanted and Mark never tried to sell me something else from the lot. He also got me the best price on my new car and got me a fair price for my trade in. When I picked up my new Honda, Mark sat in the car with me and showed me all the features. During the first week of owning my new CR-V, I received two emails from Mark and two phone calls. In the emails, he thanked me for my business and made sure I had his cell phone number for questions. In his phone calls, he was following up to see if I had any questions and to find out how much I was loving my new car. This is the second time I have bought a car from RSM Honda and when it comes time to buy another new Honda, I'll be back to see Mark Helms at RSM Honda.

Manny in finance is terrible, rude, wants to argue with customers. His attitude totally changed when I would not the the 2k dollars extended warranty. Kept telling I "need it" bit I bought one from my credit union for 600$. Covers bumper to bumper too. Then told me he would need a few more minutes to finish getting my paperwork ready. After 25 more minutes called us back into his office to continue to tell us Weiss buy the now 1700$ warranty. After I said no to any extras, unless they were going to include them into the deal we already agreed upon he finally stopped. Including stopped talking with us, just sign here. I tried to complain to GM but he never returned my call, as is standard practice at this dealership,, not to return calls or communicate with customers.

Rancho Santa Margarita Honda, I cannot recommend, even to my enemies. The Salesman never introduced himself, we never got a business card, or knew his name until the end of our deal . Then came the worst part of RSM Honda -the finance department, not all the paperwork was ready. We left the finance office twice so Manny could "complete" the paperwork for "us". After the deal, I called 3times to verify the the dealer received our payment-NO return calls, to simply confirm they have our payment. Then I discovered RSM Honda sent my bank the payoff amount (after ten days)of my trade-in which was $450 less than what we had on the contract, a payment had cleared. RSM Honda was going to keep my money" as leverage to get title" as Manny in finance says. When I called every hour on the hour to try and get our money, Manny was rude and very argumentative. After leavening a message for the general manager to call me to discuss this (he never returned my call either) Manny called to say they have my check. If it smells fishy, looks fishy, taste fishy, it must be fish! I could NOT recommend this dealership due mostly to finance department being very shady, rude and argumentative. Go the the big dealerships where finance people know there jobs well, and treat customers with respect. Brenda is the only person I can recommend, she was the only person to returned my calls. Message to Brenda, quit go to any other dealership... Same for customers- go to ANY other dealership. The dealership in all of their replies, to less than favorable reviews on line, talks about communication, this is their major flaw. The GM did not return my call, the Finance simply ignored me, after 11 calls I spoke to someone in finance, after Brenda, promised. And that was on one of my hourly calls to speak to someone about getting MY money, as the contract states pay on demand.

Steve Quintero is very disrespectful, angry and rude service manager. Without regard to Honda Brand. In his own words "do not come back to this dealership" how about that for customer service. "get out now, you are lucky I am working" A Threat! He must be well tolerated by management to haves such conduct. This disrespect was in front of my wife and everyone in the service area, customer and staff. I called him first by raising his voice on me in front of my wife and his come back is "I am explaining". Accused me of cursing in his office so he can justify in throwing us out... NO JUSTIFICATION FOR THIS ACTION. BAD FOR RSM HONDA. WORSE for Honda brand...

I wanted to purchase a Honda Pilot through Costco so this was the dealership they hooked me up with. Once they had my number they called me about two times a day for two weeks, and even after I had set up an appointment. Every time they called it was a different person asking is if I had made an appointment yet and asking what car I was interested in. At the end of the conversation they would always tell me to remember them when I come in. When I did go in for my appointment they were not expecting me and when I told them I had an appointment they didn't know what to do with that information. Once they finally found someone to talk to me I soon found out that they had no Pilots for me to look at or test drive. I left the dealership feeling very bummed and shocked at their customer service. For several days following my appointment I got several more phone calls (even after they assured me that my number had been removed from their records). This was very poor customer service and I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

I just turned 20 and dont have alot of credit. I called this dealership extensively and spoke with their finance department. They told me to come on down and that they had already got me pre-approved through Honda Financial Services. They told me to bring my drivers license and proof aof insurance and down payment and I was all set. Well when I got their, they wanted pay stubs, proof of residence, and other bills in my name, which I didn't have on me (because nobody told me to bring them). Well long story short, they said I would have to come back the next day (as it was already 9:30 pm) and bring all the documents before I could take the car home. I explained that my father gave me a ride up there (over 100 miles....I live in San Diego) and they basically didnt care!!!!!

I was dropping my friend off to get his car serviced and just couldn't keep my eye off of the new metallic silver cr-Z. Zane happened to be outside and we started to chit chat about the car, I explained my current car situation and he was able to work with me to push for an extremely good trade in value for my car, before I even test drove the car I had to make sure I could afford, so sure enough they ran the numbers and sure enough I could afford. I test drove and fell in love, they had exactly what I wanted and the price was great too! The whole way through when I had questions Zane explained everything in normal terms (not car talk) and so I walked away with a brand new car! First ever for myself since I have only had used! All in all Zane Hernandez my seller, Frank the finance guy and the sales manager even the receptionists I saw were are great, personable and humble! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a new car to go to this dealership and see Zane!
