My fiancee and I were in the market for a new or certified Suburban. I searched for a few weeks, and read everything that I could to find exactly what we wanted in our new SUV. After weeks of searching, I located on that was on Rick Hendricks web site. I have heard good things about the dealership, So I decided to contact them and set up an appointment to see what kind of deal that we could make. This was the perfect SUV, from the exterior to the interior, to all of the options that it had. From doing all of my homework, we knew exactly what we wanted. I submitted their form, and someone from the internet sales team contacted me, and set up the appointment, She was very pleasant to talk with, which was a good start. The next day I we arrived at the dealer about 15 minutes early, and was seated promptly, and one of the several managers that we would end up dealing with sat down, introduced himself, (I don't remember his name, and we did not receive business cards from anyone) that portion was pleasant as well. We were then assigned a sales lady, who seemed to be very nice at first, although she had very little knowledge and wouldn't even talk about the SUV that we had initially came in to discuss. Finally I told her that at the moment I was only interested in discussing the vehicle that I found online. She finally agreed to entertain my topic, and since the SUV was at another dealership in North Carolina, she said she had to see if it was still available. She said they could not get ahold of the dealership, and they would keep trying. After an hour and a half of her telling us that they were still checking, and trying to force a different new Suburban on us, I waited until she left, I called the dealership myself, and was told that I was still available. She was not very happy about this, and said she would again be right back. She went back into the locked office, and came back within 10 min and said they were able to verify that they still had it. I said great, let talk prices!She quickly got a manager, and I was told that they could not budge at all on the price since it was at a different Rick Hendricks dealership, but again they could make me a screaming deal on a brand new one. I replied, well lets see what you can do with my trade in, since they did not have exactly what I wanted at their dealership, that was brand new. I knew exactly what the fair market trade in value was on my vehicle, because I had checked it prior to going in. I had a mint condition 2013 sports car that the trade in was just over 25K, they came back and told me that they could only give me 19K for it, which was lower than the poor condition trade in value (keep in mind that my car still smells like a new car, has never seen the rain, and only has 14k miles on it) I rejected their offer, and they went back into the office to talk and laugh a bit more, then came back and told me that they could give me 20K for it. I again rejected it. This has now been almost 3 hours in the dealership. Then again with the new SUV, I was exhausted from playing the game, so I finally broke and said let me see what you have. They said they have one that met the color and trim requirements, so I said ok, let see what the price would be. They first told me that it would cost just over 66K, but that they could do better, since it was a red tag vehicle from Chevrolet. Red tag is when they offer incentives. They then cam e back and said that they could do it for 64k, I naturally said lets see if we could do any better, they came back again and said that they could come down to just over 61K, and that they could offer me 22K for my trade in. seeing that that was starting to become a pretty good deal, I told them I would like to look at the vehicle. We waited for another 20-30 min for them to bring the SUV up. Before the SUV was pulled up, one of the manager came back in and said that he just found out that this was a demo vehicle, and they would probably be able to offer me more for my trade to make up for it, ok, this sounded even better, especially since he said it would only have 200-300 miles on it. I wasnt super excited about it being a demo, but I havent looked at it yet, so I could not form an opinion just yet.At this point even know it was a demo we were getting pretty excited that we would be going home with a new vehicle that night. This is where it really went downhill we went out to look at it and at first sight it was very dirty which was ok, after all it does sit on a lot that is outside. She first remote started the Suburban and explained that feature to us, then opened the back it was in terrible shape, worse than any new or demo vehicle that have ever seen. I never even let my personal vehicle get this dirty. Trying my best to look past it, I continued to look at the vehicle. The plastic in the back area had scratches all over it, there was a few dents in the back right quarter panel, and a couple other areas, a scratch that went almost the full distance of the back door and onto the quarter panel. The carpet was full of stains, it looked like bags of chips exploded all over in the SUV, it smelled like it had been smoked in, the back pumper was pushed out on the drivers side, and it had 5560 mile on it. And this is what they were trying to sell me as a new SUV now being pretty upset, I went back inside, and asked to speak to the general manager (Rudy Carter) he came up to me and I tried to explain the situation, and he said he knew all about the condition of the vehicle, however he said there was only a scratch in it that he would have to take to the body shop and get repaired. He swore that the carpet was not stained, and there were no dents in it. I asked him to come outside and look at the condition of the vehicle that they were trying to sell me as new. He refused, and told me that it was his wifes car for a few months, and that they each get one every 90 days, as long as they don't put more than 6K miles on it, and it never gets titled, so it was still new. However, I know that if it has over a certain amount of damage, they can no longer sell it as new, which I knew this one would be over. Even after this, they were still trying to sell this to me, I told him that if the inside and outside looks like this, I would have no idea how the motor had been treated for its most important few thousand miles. He looked us straight in the face and sarcastically told us that his wife drives it like a race car, and that she had it floored everywhere she went. Being more irritated, he then explained that they have 5 kids, and she put that may miles on it within 2 months taking the kids to sporting events. Now is where it really went south. This day happened to be on veterans day, and they were fully aware that I was a disabled veteran, as I disclosed that at the beginning. He then asked me to what I did for a living, and I told him that I negotiate contracts, and purchases material for my company. He then told me that he was amazing at his job, and that I must be terrible at mine. Taken back that he just actually insulted me (the general manager of this dealer ship) I paused for a minute with no speech. He then put his hand out and asked me to shake his hand so we could leave as friends. I told him that there was no way that I was going to shake his hand. My fiancee then went to get the papers that had a copy of our drivers license on it, along with all of the other papers that had the information about our trade in car on it. After a few minutes they gave us the papers with our drivers licenses on it, but would not give papers back with our cars information on it. I demanded that they give it to us, she huffed, and went in a gave us one of them. I demanded to get the other one back, and they refused, I then asked that it be shredded in front of me, they again refused and told me they close at 8 and I could just stand there the whole time until they close. Being very upset at this point, I stood there for a second, and then left.I then contacted the regional manager the next day trying to get some sort of apology from the general manager. Well, he explained to me that this really just did not sound like that general manager, and that he was sent down there from the North Carolina location to fix this dealership. He said that Rudy had worked for him for 10 years. After that, I knew nothing was going to happen. He would not provide me with a resolution, and just said that he would talk to him. To top it off, I contacted the corporate office, and spoke to another gentlemen. I was supposed to be contacted back within 1-2 days, that was a week ago now, and have still to be contacted. I plan on fully disclosing this dealer and their actions to sell a vehicle in that condition.

Everyone was courteous and professional. They found the truck I wanted when other dealerships said they would 'try'. They ordered it before I had even committed to buy and kept me up to date on the shipping status. The credit application process was extremely easy and the sales manager made sure I could get the best possible price by comparing banks, rates and rebates. I have been there a total of 5 times trying to get out of a 2016 Chevy Silverado. After sending my credit app to three major credit companies and getting denied they then blasted it to every company in the world trying to get an approval with no avail because of low credit. After receiving a letter in the mail from ACA stating to contact the dealer for a counter finance offer I did and spoke with one of the finance managers who stated that ACA had me preapproved for $16k on any vehicle that meets their requirements. He transferred me to John on the sales floor who was nice and said he would have a 2007 Ford F250 waiting for me to look at when I got there. The next day I go there and get the run around to where I can't even talk to a sales guy but one of the sales managers comes out to talk to me. After explaining the letter and what the finance manager told me he said that there is nothing they can do because that don't have any car that will work without even trying.

I found a vehicle online, fit my needs and was ready to purchase. I called in and was transferred to a so called "manager" CJ and began price negotiations. The call lasted less than 30 seconds. I told the associate what I wanted to pay, to which he replied "that's trade in value, I got more in it than that". Which is classic car salesman speak and the conversation was quickly over as well as the call.

I had seen a car I was really interested in, and used the chat feature, where of course they couldn't give no info, but wanted mine. I left my number, and later received a call from I believe heather graham. She once again couldn't tell me anything. She said I needed to come in face to face, said car was there and even double checked with manager, as it was a long drive for me, as I mentioned to her several times. So of course I show up at our appointment time and the car is nowhere to be found. No one has a clue and finally they said they located it in Texas. They of course then tried to sell me something else, but I was too furious to care. If you wanna be xxxxxthen go here. If not then I'd look else where, as most are dirty this one was ridiculous wasted my family's day.

Had appt to fix trailer brake system. Got there and was told I had to leave the truck. Obviously there was no.commumication between person who gave m me the appt and Edwin, who recieved me in the shop.I told them I HAD to have the truck by next day so they decided to fix it. Long story short, I had a.coupon for a free diagnostic. My bill ended.up being over $900.00 so Edwin Tyson said he would give.me a break on the cost. He adjusted the.cost and reduced it by $90.00. But then he added in $90.00 for the cost of the diagnostic which was free with the coupon I gave them. So, no break. Very disappointed in Edwin's attempt at "helping me out". I think the word is dishonest. Guess he didn't think I would.look at the bill.for which they replaced rear.brake.pads and.calipers in.addition to what I brought the truck in for. His actions.make me.wonder if there was really anything.wrong with them.

There was absolutely no pressure and when they didn't have exactly what I wanted on the lot he located it and had it brought to their dealership as opposed to pushing me to buy what was available. Called to get service on my 14 vette (squealing brakes). I was told to leave the car and it would take about a week to fix. Called service dept. and asked why ittakes a week to fix. Told corvette service is backed up. I asked service rep. wouldthis fix the problem, she said no and that this problem is just the "nature of thebeast"??. I was about to trade in my car for a z06. Needless to say that will not happen at this dealership.After the sale you are on your own.I had my serviced at a different dealership.

I went to two other dealers first by myself, (being a woman alone they were like sharks) They I went to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet and met Earnie Ouzts. He was very easy to talk to, he REALY wanted to hear what I had to say, and what I was looking for. He had a great car, I test drove it and loved it. As a single woman it's hard to know who you can trust in the car business. My experience with Rick Hendricks Chevrolet and their awesome salesperson Ernie Ouzts, made this one of the best experiences I have ever had. In the game of life, buying an automobile is one of those experiences you fully and completely expect to be, at best, unpleasant and, at worst, excruciatingly painful. Its something you have to do, but hate the thought of actually going through the process. My wife hand I recently embarked on that journey and, fortunately, not only was the experience neither unpleasant nor painful, it was actually enjoyable. That was, of course, only because we first visited Rick Hendrick BMW and luckily were assisted by Umut Engin - the most pleasant, proficient, and professional automobile salesman we have ever met. After doing some fairly extensive internet research, we had a good idea of the type of vehicle my wife wanted to purchase. We presented our ideas to Umut and in very short order he built the car we ultimately bought. He presented all of the available up-grade options, as well as the financing possibilities. All of this was done in Umuts calm and, most importantly, non-pushy manner. After an hour or so, my wife had the automobile she wanted and we placed the order. We understood, of course, that we werent taking the car home that day, but would be picking it up in a few weeks. Fortunately, it was going to be built in Spartanburg so we did not have to wait too long. During the interim, Umut periodically updated us on the vehicles status and the progress of the construction. About a month after our initial visit, Umut called and said the car was ready and available for pickup. He took my wife through the vehicles ins and outs and made sure we were satisfied with the purchase. The X-3 looked even better than my wife had imagined. BMWs are truly the ultimate driving machines. As an aside, Umut has continued to be in contact with us regarding the car and my wifes level of satisfaction. We have purchased a number of automobiles in our lives both together and separately for various dealerships in the Charleston area and elsewhere. No other car buying endeavor comes close to the one we had with Umut. We heartily recommend him and hope this review helps others actually have a pleasurable experience at an automobile dealership.

In fact, all of the Rick Hendrick BMW staff we came into contact with were very pleasant, accommodating, and professional. We will be returning there in the future and have already recommended the dealership and Umut to a number of our friends, relatives, co-workers, and business associates. This experience was so good that my husband just lease a BMW X3 from Umut, Andrew, and Florens.

I've been back to the Service Dept 5 times since I purchased the car several months ago. They have "without fail" corrected each issue that I took it in for. If they didn't get it right the first time...they did by the second time. They got me into a loaner car each time. (Not like the old days where you had to figure it out yourself!) Did I get frustrated when I had to take my car back after I just bought it? YES. Was it a hassle? YES. Are they perfect? NO. Where ever you have people...you have problems, it's just part of life. The great thing about this place is that they are professional, and they will get it right....period. Everyone from the top down in this organization has taken the time to speak with me when I asked them to. I've purchased a lot of cars over my 50 years of driving and I've never had a car that was perfect....that's why they have service departments. Recently, I purchased a brand new Silverado 1500 from Ernie Ouzts at Rick Hendrick Chevy. They actually had to work a swap between a different dealer to get the exact truck I wanted. There were a few bumps getting the vehicle here (took an extra day), but Ernie and the staff really worked to earn my business. He even worked with me to get the wheels I wanted from a different vehicle. A few months after the sale was complete I moved to a different state, and the staff helped me get my title transferred. To top if off, Ernie even helped me get a front license plate bracket that wasn't required in SC but was in MD. I'll always call Charleston my home and will buy from Ernie and Rick Hendrick again if I have the opportunity!

Stopped in after work, closing to look at a truck. Bob Atkinson greeted me and showed me a 2014 Silverado. I really liked the truck. This dealer lost my car, try to make me pay for repairs on my car that was cover under warranty, then, they left my windows down doing the worst weather we had in Charleston. The inside of my car was damaged and they told me they were going to replace my door panels 4 months ago and I have not heard anything from not one person at the dealership.

Rick Hendrick Chevrolet is the preferred dealer recommended through the USAA auto purchasing program. After my experience with Ernie, I can see why. We were in the market for a 2105 Traverse, and although they didn't have exactly what we wanted on site (because of my wife's specific demands), Ernie found our perfect vehicle in-state within minutes. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions assiduously. He stayed in constant contact throughout the entire process, which was very helpful as well as reassuring. He didn't push us at any point to deviate from our specifications and was amenable to our price points. The dealership itself is extremely clean and inviting. Several sales associates opened doors for us and greeted us like friends and said hello to our child. On multiple occasions, we were offered complimentary refreshments. To say the customer service is excellent is an understatement. The only negative was that we had to pay the dealership transfer fee (which we were told "could" be waived). We received the vehicle the next day and Ernie made sure it was checked, cleaned and prepared for our arrival. Once we accepted ownership, we weren't as concerned about the transfer fee because it was delivered within 18 hours which was much quicker than expected. I will and would recommend both Rick Hendrick Chevrolet and Ernie to any potential consumers.

I had been looking for a very specific type of car and managed to find one online and began keeping up with it while doing research on it. I finally made a call down to the dealership and spoke with Jimmy Weeks who began the process and got me over to Bob. When I bought my new Silverado in November (end of October),2014, I was actually in the market for a used Chevy truck. I was fortunate to be greeted immediately by Bob Adkison. He first evaluated my needs and wants and before I knew it he made me realize that a new truck would be the most logical and intelligent way to go. He is very knowledgeable of his vehicles and inventory that he has and knew right away if he had what I was looking for. He also knew the history of the Silverado concerning repairs, changes, improvements, warranties and any questions I asked. The only question he couldn't answer was which color I wanted. That was my decision. He led me through the financing and set up my OnStar account. Even after he sale, he has continued to keep in touch with me to see if I had any problems or questions. The most god awful experience in car sales ever.....This dealership gets one star only because of the salesman otherwise a new category of negative stars would be appropriate. They have no clue about customer service (specifically the receptionist Shannon and the sales manager Curtis). I test drove a used vehicle today and within less than 5 minutes of driving, the gauge on the vehicle was glaring with a red light warning on the dash. The vehicle was quickly overheating. We pulled over on the side of the road and my dad the mechanic looked under the hood and detected that the water pump was shot in this vehicle. At 1:13 pm our salesman immediately called the dealership to pick us up. At 1:40 we were still stranded on the side of the road(after 6 calls and 2 text messages) and within minutes of the dealership. I took the salesman's cell phone and called the dealership myself in which Curtis(sales manager) told me they were sending someone, but needed to locate someone and a vehicle to pick us up. Are you kidding!?....a lot full of available employees when I left and a huge inventory of vehicles obviously that they could not sell...Really?....Anyone could have jumped in any vehicle and came to pick us up. Luckily a kind stranger felt we were not a threat and stopped and actually gave the three of us a ride back to the dealership. The manager said he sent two vehicles to pick us up, but they could not locate us(first and second driver got lost). We were stranded on the same route the dealer uses for customers to test drive cars...still scratching my head on that nonsense EXCUSE. All I received was a lame apology and pathetic excuses about the poor service provided which was total disrespect as a customer and complete "don't give a dang about our employees" since their salesman was stranded with us also. It is no wonder why there is so much inventory on that lot. It would be hard to sell cars with that type of service. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DATE!!!!!! OF COURSE I DID NOT CONSIDER PURCHASING ANYTHING ON THAT LOT. DEFINITELY NOT THE RICK HENDRICK EXPERIENCE I EXPECTED!

I took the salesman's cell phone and called the dealership myself in which Curtis(sales manager) told me they were sending someone, but needed to locate someone and a vehicle to pick us up. Are you kidding!?....a lot full of available employees when I left and a huge inventory of vehicles obviously that they could not sell...Really?....Anyone could have jumped in any vehicle and came to pick us up. Luckily a kind stranger felt we were not a threat and stopped and actually gave the three of us a ride back to the dealership. The manager said he sent two vehicles to pick us up, but they could not locate us(first and second driver got lost). We were stranded on the same route the dealer uses for customers to test drive cars...still scratching my head on that nonsense EXCUSE. All I received was a lame apology and pathetic excuses about the poor service provided which was total disrespect as a customer and complete "don't give a dang about our employees" since their salesman was stranded with us also. It is no wonder why there is so much inventory on that lot. It would be hard to sell cars with that type of service. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DATE!!!!!! OF COURSE I DID NOT CONSIDER PURCHASING ANYTHING ON THAT LOT. DEFINITELY NOT THE RICK HENDRICK EXPERIENCE I EXPECTED!

the oneIstar is for Mr. Cato unfortunately he works with a staff of people who do not understand what customer service is..that would be Shannon the receptionist and Curtis the sales manager ..we test drove a car and within 5 minutes the gauges were glaring red and the car was overheating..we pulled over and my dad the mechanic pulled up the hood and saw the water pump was shot..At 1:13 the salesman called (6 calls and two text messages)the dealership to arrange a pickup..at 1:40 pm we were still waiting onside of the highway until a kind stranger picked us up and carried us back to the dealership. The dealership said they sent two vehicles for us, both of whom could not locate us on the same route they take customers on for test drives....Go Figure..I Received the most lame excuse and apology for their poor effort to pick us up after THEIR vehicle broke down...DID NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM

Storm listened to me and did not try to push or "up-sell" me on anything I didn't want or need. Jamar in finance was also great to deal with. I've been to many other dealerships and some sales people are just bodies waiting for someone to come into the net, to be captured as flies. Running from booth to management, Andre didn't do that he quickly put me directly in touch with the decision makers and streamlined the process. My car less than 2 year old with less than 2000 miles has contaminated clutch fluids and they will not fix my car under warranty, nor can I get phone call back about my car. I was told that when they inspect cars they do not check a use car to make sure that the correct fluids is in the car they only check to make sure that the fluids are full. Then I was told that the fluids got contaminated from dirt off the highway. My car hasn't had a oil change yet and your telling me that the clutch fluids and needed changing. Then i was told that with a 179 point inspection the sheet only says fluids and because it doesn't say clutch fluids and only say transmission fluids they are not responsible for check that. My question is if your not checking those fluids when someone purchase a certified used car with an 179 point inspection, then how in the xxxx are you inspecting your customers to check those fluids. As i read online I am noticing that, GM car is know to have that issue with the clutch in corvette and they have not acknowledge the problem. My car is still under warranty and i know the minute it went there they was going to find a reason to say i had to pay for my car to get fix. I really though that by getting a car from chevy i was getting a vehicle that was going to last a life time from solid people who stand behind their words. I would never purchase a car from any Rick Hendrick dealer ever in my life if I do not get someone to act like they care about me in my situation and understand my concerns.

Bought a new 2014 Impala from Chad Petry. Did a few test drives, picked out the one I wanted. Picked it up the next day all washed and polished. The paper work took about 15 minutes and then Chad and I spent over and hour showing me all the features of the car, especially the Chevy MyLink infotainment system. I knew the car was loaded with neat electronic things, but it actually had way more than I thought. I was really impressed with the Navigation system. Chad very patiently showed me how it worked and how to set up all the personalization features. I was blown away by the technology on this Impala. I couldn't possibly remember all the stuff that Chad Petry showed me, so I have an appointment with Chad tomorrow to get my second lesson on using the Nav system. Hendrick Chevy in Charleston, SC is classiest and best car dealer I have ever dealt with. Bar None! Everyone is most courteous and friendly. So far, the service department has never let me down. After the sale is done, the service department is the most important part of the dealership. The sales department sells the first car, but the service department sells, or loses the sale, of all the rest. So far, I have not been disappointed in either the sales or the service.

If it were not for Bruce Ballough, our sales representative at Rick Hendrick, we would have never bought a car that Saturday. We, in fact, tried to leave the lot 3 different times. Bruce was so accommodating and showed empathy for our situation as the hours passed while we waited for the guys in 'the tower' to complete our paperwork and finalize the deal with the bank. We were at that lot for EIGHT HOURS!!!!!!! I will NEVER recommend a Rick Hendrick dealership when it comes to buying a car. I can from 50 miles away to buy a car at Rick Hendricks. We had bought from them in 06 and had a good experience. I am still driving that car. We have 3 kids in college and have been helping them and so money is not in great supply. We needed a car with room but still good on fuel. I am the extremely proud owner of a 2009 Dodge Challenger. Its black EVERYTHING and I love it. It's my blessing from the Creator. On the day I bought it, it was raining. I had already been to at least 7 or 9 reputable car lots in search of a BMW in the description of what I drove off from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet here in Charleston, SC. Upon entering, I was met by a friendly staff with smiles. I was gifted to have met Mr. Andre Williams, a sales representative for this car lot.. He went above and beyond what I'm sure his training called for to assist me in making a wise, and satisfying purchase. My car is a black coupe.. The interior is black. The tint is dark. It came with a sunroof which was a deal breaker for any car I had looked at no matter how sweet of a deal I could have gotten. Andre found my car with a note inside saying it was sold. He went back and researched it and saw it was available for sale. We test drove it and discussed a few of the specs of the car. He was simply amazing. He complemented me on being a client who knew exactly what I wanted. I complement him on his honesty, willingness to help, and I also commend his training team. Andre is a valuable asset to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet as he was to me. I think this young man has a very promising future based on his performance, presentation, and mannerism towards me. I made an email inquiry about possibly trading in my 2010 Extended Cab Silverado for a 2014 Extended or Crew Cab. I gave details about my trade in, what my payments were, what I was looking for, & how much I could put down. The 1st response was for a 2014 Double Cab with a V6. I responded that this wouldn't do & that I would continue to drive my current truck because this truck gave me the same cab size only 4 years newer but took me from a V8 to a V6 & had no tow package. The salesman, Harrison Cutler, found the vehicle I purchased, 2014 Crew Cab, V8, with tow package at a cheaper price than the previous double cab. Between him, the appraisers, & finance, they were able to run numbers twice with the 2nd set giving me an additional $3,000 off the total cost & payments just a little more than my former one's. I drove off the lot & when I drove in the yard, my husband said I made a great decision.

The 1st vehicle found wouldn't do & I explained why & replied that I would just wait a couple more months before doing a trade. Harrison Cutler, the sales man that I was emailing found the truck I purchased which turned out to be an even better deal than the 1st find, with more room & bigger engine. The appraisers & finance worked to get me a set of numbers to choose from & seeing my reaction, worked again to help me & were able to find a lender that actually saved me $3,000 on the total price. As a woman buying by herself, I felt no pressure or intimidation.

My wife and I recently decided to buy a new car. We did some research on the internet and found that Rick Hendricks Chevrolet kept showing up and getting excellent reviews. So we decided to give the dealership a try. We spent over a week almost everyday in the dealership looking, driving, and comparing vehicles. As everyone knows, not a fun thing to do! Very exhausting work! However, this time was different. Our sales person was Ann Marie, and she was great! She took the time to show us what we wanted, gave suggestions, and even helped entertain our 3 and 4 year old! She did not pressure us, as you can imagine a sales person would as you leave the dealership with out buying anything during a period of a whole week! We brought in a 2003 Saturn Vue for an oil change and a little work. I had never been to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet before, but the shop that usually does our stuff referred us there as they couldn't do the work. My first thought was "great, a dealserhsip!" We could not be more pleased with the service we received. The repairs were a little delayed due to them getting in the wrong part and we were given a discount for it being late, there were a couple of extra things that were done that weren't charged for (this was done because the service manager know the car belonged to my son and he wanted to make sure he was safe as he went on his first trip alone!). I will sing your praises and Chris Giardini's!! You've restored my faith in going to a dealership and I thank you.

I contacted TJ because my truck began to have a bad idle. He advised me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem. TJ called back and said a sensor needed to be replaced. I picked the truck up on Friday and it still had a little idle problem. TJ test drove the truck and acknowledged that there was still a problem. He asked me to wait so that he could take it back to the shop. When he returned he said that they thought it was the spark plugs that needed to be changed and that I could leave it until Monday to ensure definately that it was the problem. I decided to take the vehicle home and have someone change the spark plugs, which in fact turned out to be the problem. Now my vehicle is running smoothly. I appreciate TJ being so helpful and patient with me to ensure that my vehicle was fixed and working correctly. He is truly an asset to the service department.

I was in the market for a used car on a fixed budget. I was approached by a customer service salesman named Wayne. Wayne greeted me politely enough however very curt also. There was never any friendliness or overt caring for my situation from Wayne. We visited more than one of the lots and were told that my price point was too low and that I probably should raise my price to fit their selection. Finally we found a vehicle that fit my needs and my wallet. I test drove the car and I liked it well enough. We went back to the dealership, drew up some papers and I said I would get back to them. I decided to go with another vehicle. After I finished with the purchasing of my other vehicle it was past closing for Hendrick. Hendrick is closed on Sundays - so yet another time I did not want to call. Then on Monday morning I received a call from the salesman that was both rude and discourteous saying that I should have called no matter the time and then was promptly hung up on. The call was short, rude, snide, and scathing. I did not appreciate the tone or the implications of the call. VERY poor customer service in person and on the phone. I definitely won't be recommending this dealership to anyone. Stay away.

On our way to Florida on I-95 SC ,our Chevy silverado experienced a problem and stop running. That was bad enough but we also had another problem. We were pulling our 35 ft camper on our way to Disney .being broke down on a Saturday with no garage open is the worst. We call nationwide, explained our dilemma.they took about 30 minutes found a towing company that could transport the Chevy 3500 and the 35 ft camper at the same time. They also found Rick Hendricks Chevy in Charleston, SC 60 miles away opened and would service our vehicle and fix the problem. We were told to contact Wayne when we arrived. The towing service was great they transported 5 of us and two small dogs. Brad was so polite and professional. When we arrive at Rick Hendricks Chevy ,Wayne said, they put all travelers at the front of the line in the service department it is part of their policy to help travelers stranded. How many dealers do you find with the service department open on a Saturday afternoon. Mark, Wayne, Leon and the general manager went out of their way to make our whole family comfortable as they found and fixed the problem. They also made room on their lot for our camper. A couple of hour we were on the road. This is the greatest service we have ever received from a dealer.we received a text message and phone call hours later checking to see if we arrived safely and without incident. Needless to say at 2:00 am we arrived at Disney we sent message back telling them how grateful we are for their concerns. I have had issues with the tires that Chevrolet installs on the their Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sports.These tires are installed at the assembly plant.They are the Goodyear Supercar Runflats.I have had 3 tires replaced and the car has only 12k miles on it.Had it not been for the excellent service team at Rick Hendricks-I would have had to pay between $1600 and $1800 to have them replaced.The Hendricks team contacted Goodyear Tires and "went to bat" for me and the tires were replaced.The Hendricks Team also addressed several other issues and the car was like new when my wife picked it up.When my wife picked it up it was washed and waxed,as well as completely filled with fuel(premium fuel,that is) !!! I work as a pharmacist and do not have the time to worry about my vehicle due to a very demanding schedule (and crazy hours). I first used Hendricks on my new 2009 Corvette-same great service.Now I live in Murrells Inlet,SC and drive my 2011 Corvette Grand Sport all the way to Charleston (and back) only because I know I can trust Mr. Costner and Ms. O'Brien to handle all problems from A to Z. I want to also mention that I am a very hard to please customer....not something I'm proud of.In light of this,I have always been treated with kindness and respect-regardless of how "grumpy or tired" I have been.I would like to thank Mr. Costner and Ms. O'Brien for their patience shown to me at those times. I highly recommend this dealership to everyone-regardless of what make automobile they drive. Thanks alot!!!!

I'm a Navy guy and I wanted to buy a car at another location and made clear that I had to still line up financing. They told me that I could line up financing on my own and that any paperwork I signed would not be binding until I take delivery. I left too late to go to the bank to line up that financing, so I went the next day to the bank. The bank said I need a co-signer and my wife was not satisfactory; therefore, a co-signer was not available. I contacted another bankno luck. I let the dealer know that I could not get the car.Now, they're telling me that I have a binding deal on the car. I can't tell if they're lying now or before, but either way they lied. They're threatening to call my Commanding Officer if I don't figure out financing. This sort of high-pressure sales is unacceptable. Stay away.

My problem started after my 7 hr trip to Rick Hendrick to buy a 2001 chevy silverado 3500 duramax.When i arrived they had the truck right out front.Jamar came out and greeted me. We started the truck to take it for a ride,right away i noticed smoke coming from the tailpipe.Jamar assured me that i would clear up by the time we got home,because they put a additive to the fuel.Well after another 7 hrs on the road and it still was smoking.Oh i forgot the winshield was broken but they paid me for that.I called the next day and of course could not get a hold of anyone,never saw a dealership that dont answer the phone 80% of the time.Finally after 3 days i spoke with Jamar and told him something was wrong and he had no answer for me but ill get back to you.I called everyday 5 times a day to no avail.When i took it to the chevy dealer by me,the told my extended warranty comp,That i needed 8 injectors 2 thermostats,valve cover gaskets,and ABS Module it was burned out. I was flat out lied too and feel they should fix my problems since obviously it was never given the 34 point inspection the claim to do.Where is the justice for the consumer? these dealers sell you unsafe vehicles and get away with it.So now i pay for a truck that i cant afford to have fixed 5,768.00.and paying a loan off for a truck i cant drive.My warranty company would not fix it cause they feel it was pre exiting which i dont blame them at all.Rick hendrick should go to jail for Robbing the consumer. Oh but who would take care of NASCAR. Rick Hendrick SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Dudley Ewald. on June20th 2012 Floyd Sirico Internet sales Mgr called me and told me they wanted to make it right but i would have to drive it to them. I said no problem.He asked me to Fax my repair estimate that Bill holt chevy in canton GA. I faxed it right away and waited until June 29th 2012 i called Floyd Sirico and he told me this guy Bill was working on it but i did not look like they were going to make it right. Why would you call me and say you are going to fix my truck and then dont even call me to tell me you changed your mind, i had to call them,If i dont here from them by July 9th 2012 i will take my case further.

On Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012, my husband took his 2006 Silverado to The service department at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Charleston. He told them he needed to have his transmission serviced and told the service department that the hot transmission light had come on once and a couple of times the transmission had jumped.Finally, on Thursday 4:30pm April 19, 2012 we heard back from them with an estimate of $4,900. This was to put in a brand new transmission, battery, Fix a stearing shaft that was making a noise. My husband was in shock but told them to do the work. He told me about it and I told him to call them back and stop the work on the truck that we wanted to get a second opinion. He called them back at 5:00pm and got the service department's answering machine and left a message to not do any work on the truck and to call him. We never heard back from them.The next morning at 7:30am I called the service department and told them to stop any work they were doing on the truck that we were going to take it somewhere else. They told me at that time that the old transmission had already been taken out of the truck. I was also told the new transmission had been ordered and delivered. I told them to put the old transmission in the back of the truck and we would have it towed to another shop. I was told that we would have to pay for labor, 3 hours at $135.00 an hour and a warehouseing fee for having the new transmission ordered and delivered to their shop. The total was $600. They said they had spent 3 hours putting the scope on the transmission to find out what was wrong with it. I could not believe that they had ordered and received the new transmission since 4:30pm the previous day. Remember this was 7:30am the next morning, and we had called the previous day at 5:00pm and left a message to tell them not do the work on the truck. I asked to speak to the service manager and was put on hold for 30 min. and then was disconnected. I tried calling back several times and kept getting an answering machine that asked me to say the persons name I wanted to talk to and then I would get disconnected. I was frustrated.I finally spoke the the service manager who was condescending. I was also told that the old transmission had not been taken out of the truck. He said the would let me have the truck back for $450. He said that he was splitting the cost with me. I gave him my Credit Card number. They told us the truck would be ready to be towed after 12:00pm. The tow truck arrived at 12:30 he waited for one hour and the truck was still not released to him. They told him it would be ready at 4:30pm. He left and went back at 4:30pm. The tow truck driver called me to verify the truck he was to pick up. We finally got our truck towed to a different transmission shop.The end result that it cost us $3,200 for the work on the truck. The new shop put in a new battery for free and the noise that Rick Hendrix heard in the stearing shaft turned out to be two missing mounting bolts that connected the transmisson to the frame of the truck. Rick Hendrick was going to charge us $950 to correct the stearing shaft noise. We bought this truck from Rick Hendrix Chevrolet in Charleston and we also bought at 2011 Truck from them about 3 month ago. I will never do anymore business with this company.

No, actually, THEY GIVE CAR SALES MEN A BAD NAME. It all started when I called to see if they had a specific, VERY specific, to the t, vehicle in stock, LITERALLY on the sales floor. They said they indeed had it, three actually. How lucky for us! We drove over, only to go on a wild goose chase, looking all over the lot, one-by-one, only realize that they had sold ALL THREE! Imagine that. They they promised they could get it, through the whole thing I kept reiterating EXACTLY what I wanted. They said, o problem. Our sister store has the exact vehicle. They said we had to buy the car and then they would get it for us. We were leery, we wanted to see the car first. They said it was totally normal and that the car was exactly what my VERY tall order called for. They also stated they could not get the vehicle unless we bought it and really they were doing the leg work for us by going and getting it. So, we went against our better instincts and bought the vehicle. Three days later we went to pick up our vehicle. When we first walked in we were told me needed to do ALL the paperwork all over again as someone had ransposedtwo numbers. Being excited to get our new vehicle finally, we obliged. As we were sitting doing the mounds of paperwork that accompany buying a car, I looked at my old paperwork which I had brought, just in case, and realized IT WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VIN NUMBER!!! They were trying to give us a completely different vehicle!!!! When I asked about it, the salesman said, es, but this is very similar to what you wanted. That when I had had enough, I demanded to speak to the manager. The manager then came out and said the same thing about them being similar. I have no idea why, but I looked at this new imilarvehicle. I guess, I hoped it was similar, like maybe better with some upgrades. I was wrong, it was similar in that it was the same color that I asked for. This was a bare bones vehicle, I had been duped. Do not waste your time here. They are liars and crooks.

There was no pressure, no haggling, no pushing.....just a great price, at a great finance rate! I will definitely recommend and go back! Additionally, they gave out monopoly money for a toy auction to help out the needy for christmas. I was unable to attend but had found a woman who had no money to buy toys for her kids and had no vehicle to get there to bid on toys. I called them, and they used my monopoly money to buy toys for her children for christmas based on their ages and sex of the children! They were absolutely wonderful and I appreciated them taking the time out of their day to help this woman!

This dealership is top shelf. I had a 1957 Chevy Bel Air in town for my wedding. While running around Charleston I torn off a fuel hose, fried an electronic relay (battery issues) and broke the interior door handles. Trouble two days before the wedding and I was renting a home on Isle of Palm with no tools. One call to Wayne and EVERYTHING was handled. The repair technician, whom I wish I could remember his name, had years of experience and took care of my car as if it were his own. He explained to me his work and the reasoning behind it. He actually paid out of pocket for some needed vintage parts with out being asked.I would highly recommend this location and their professional and attentive team. Thank you. Go Chevy!

I can not say enough good things about the service that we received from Wayne Goss in the service department. We are staying in Charleston for a month or so because are newborn is at MUSC and we needed some work done on my wife's car. Wayne did everything he could to get the job done and get us a loaner car so we could still get back and forth to the hospital until your car was done. He also made it very easy to pick our car up after hours. It was by far the best experience I have ever had with a dealer especially during a very stressful time for my wife and me. The only regret I have is that we don't live there so that we could get our service done there all the time. Thanks again Wayne!

Kevin Shaw is a wonderful person! He helped us purchase the perfect truck for our son as a graduation gift. We returned two purchase a new suburban and silverado on the same day. After 2 yrs of lack of assistance with safety recalls and needed repairs from my prev. Saturn dealership, Sat of N Chasn, Taylor Hill took my msg on a Sat. evening and personally deliveed my msg to Richie Roberson. Returning my call at 8AM Mon, he had me bring my 07 Saturn Outlook in for servce. Rick Hendrick Chev stepped up to the plate and handled all of my concerns. As a single woman with Multiple Sclerosis and many other medical issues,I was finally relieved and felt much safer in my Outlook. Everyone at Hendrick Chev was so helplful, courteous and genuinely concerned with my safety and wellbeing. They kept my Outlook for two days and thoroughly checked "EVERYTHING". A tire originally thought to be patchable had to be replaced. Why that was necessary was thoroughly explained and at no time was anyone condescending with their explanations, etc. I have found a "new home" to bring my Outlook for all it's service needs. Its in the shop again, for items Saturn should have taken care of before their discontinuation of production. And as Richie was delivering my vehicle to me, when we thought all repairs were complete, a new leak was discovered. Additionally, my power steering "went out" and Richie explained he would not return this unsafe vehicle to me until the cause and repair of this dangerous problem was discovered. I cannot rave enough about my Outstanding treatment by everyone at Rich Hendrick Chev. Also, the Enterprise rental agents have been very helpful and courteous when supplying alternate transportation for me while repairs are made. I'm so glad I made that initial call back in June and Taylor answered the call.

Always went to Marathon Chevy dealership, where I bought my truck new for the past four years. They lied to me about a recall that was still available for my truck. Then I found out my neighbor told me he had the same promblem with his truck and Rick Hendrick Chevy (you guys) fixed the promblem for him for free, because they honored the recall for his truck that stll existeded. I will always go to you guys fom now on to do my maintenance. I called and told Marathon Chevy how upset I was about them and I will never do business with them again. Terry was great! I was involved in a Service Emergency; while traveling from Fl to New England my AC went out in 100+ degree weather. I was referred to you and called from the veh and was told to drive it in. I did and was provided a car to drive and suggested a place to stay overnight incl a restaurant. Cellphone no. was provided for easy contact and the tech was sold as one o fthe best for work on a cadilac. I wasn't disappointed while the work took longer than I expected to get back on my travels but I don't have that kind of experience so what I thought was too long was probably excellent service and the end result was excellent.Keith Louiselle

Two other service places hadn't caught the real problem (not their fault - nature of the problem). Rick Hendrick Chevy folks were great. They kept me abreast of what they were doing (2 daily calls) and provided a car via Enterprise (located on site - nice touch). The service manager went as far as to offer his phone number for my drive home to Ohio in case we ran into a problem saying he'd come and get us!Though the bill was a "whoper", they even set up talking to a sales person initially to look at the financial side of fixing the car or purchasing a new/used vehicle.Again, I'd highly recommend Rick Hendrick Chevrolet for their "total" approach to service.Yours,Lynn HumistonHudson, Ohio

The staff at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet is very courteous and friendly. I am a repeat buyer and I will continue to be from here on out. I will highly recommend them to my friends and family. I was very satisfied with them working with me and paying off my previous truck to get a newer truck that better suited me and my family. I didn't feel like I had received the best price on the newer truck that I had bought like I did on the previous truck that I traded in, but it was not an overkill either. The salesman Allen Brown did a great job in helping me look at newer trucks that were better suited for my family. He understood how important my family is to me and he searched for hours until he found the right vehicle for us. He even drove and hour and a half to deliver my aftermarket rims and tires to me that I had left on my truck that I traded in. I was very pleased with his overall attitude and friendliness. I was traveling from Charleston SC to Buffalo and all my electricals went down at the airport where I dropped off people. I found that a bolt holding the battery clamp was missing on my 2007 Equonix and it was so loose it lost contact. I was not happy with the thought that I would be on the road for 15 hours with a hand tightened clamp. I took a chance to stop in at the dealer. These guys took me in without an appointment, helped check out the issue, found a bolt and applied it in a matter on less than 10 minutes. I was back on my way after a smile, fast service, and had fun with the guys at the same time. Don't expect such service and I have already shared my experience with Hendrick several times.Awesome dealer representatives.Dave English

I have never been to such an organized, clean, kind, comprehensive service department before in my life - dealer or not! I purchased a truck last summer to pull my RV around the country and failed to confirm that the CD player worked before leaving. It wasn't a major deal to me, so I waited until I returned to this area to visit the Rick Hendrick dealership that I purchased it from.Of course with the passing of time their standard processes indicated it had been too long for them to resolve on my behalf, so I went the warranty route...which they said wasn't the "fancy technical" kind (which confused me b/c I thought I'd gotten the bumper to bumper type)...so I indicated my quandry to Phil and he approached management on my behalf and resolved the whole thing. Hello?! That's not normal right? I mean, I honestly felt that I was in the right given my circumstances but I'm so used to "rules" that I figured I'd be lucky to meet them in the middle somewhere. Nope...Phil recognized the situation for what it was and pushed back FOR ME. Wow. I'm still in amazement.Plus, the place really is spotless - which is a far cry from my father's old tire shop and I was so dazed and confused by it I got a little tour which quickly revealed how proud the team is of their shop...I learned about the additional University that Mr. Hendrick put in place for the mechanics that can only be attended AFTER they've received their GM Master Certification - - who does that?! Again, I was really impressed and suppose that might explain the incredible service and work.I understand there are almost 100 Hendrick dealerships in the country and I'd lay money down that they're all like this one. I have never had a better experience than I had at Rick Hendrick's Chevrolet. Everyone were doing their best to make sure that I was taken care of and was completely satisfied with what they did for me! I actually met and worked with all the people that I listed and could not have been more happy! Everyone did their best to take care of me and work to get the pricing where I had to have it! What a wonderful group of professionals who truly are a family. I can't give a better recommendation! They are the best! If I had to single out any one of these super people, I think it would have to be Joan Edwards, the Customer Relations Manager! Throughout this whole process, Joan was with me on every step! From the first step to the final delivery, Joan coordinated and followed everything. Chad was also right there with her! We have been to this dealership multiple times and have very impressed with each visit. Their staff is top notch and the warranty work is great. On this particular visit my first contact was with a service department worker named Tavio. Almost before I was in the door he stepped up and greeted me by name, I was impressed and felt very welcomed. I described the problem to Michael Potter in the service dept. who got the order written up and me on my way very quickly. He and the service technician, Kelly, were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The problem turned out to be a very elusive fuel delivery issue that was finally found but throughout the service experience Michael and Kelly worked tirelessly to come to a solution. I would have given up many times if it were me but they just plugged along and I was thoroughly pleased. We will definitely use them again for anything that comes up including oil changes. Only $19.95 for a dealership oil change is unbelievable. Thanks for a job well done.

I have used Rick Hendrick Chevrolet to service my Suburban, and they've always been great. Recently I purchased a used Cadillac as an extra vehicle, and I took it to Rick Hendrick's for an oil change. Once again they did an excellent job. My husband and I have had difficulty figuring out the controls for lighting on the Cadillac, and so I took it over to Hendrick's today to get their opinion. I can't say enough about how kind and attentive they were. Rick Pulcino, the general manager, came over right away, listened to my questions, and brought over one of their mechanics. Then Chris came over as well. I had three people examining the car, listening to my questions, and helping in any way that they could. They did answer all of my questions, did not charge me anything for their assistance, and were truly amazing. I have never received such honest and caring service at any other dealership. My husband and I were involved in a minor car accident in Hanahan on 11/27/10. State Farm insurance company was the driver at fault's insurance company and they asked us if we wanted to have the work done by Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Charleston. I had my passenger window motor replaced there last December so I knew they'd take care of us. As you can imagine, when you get into an accident it can be a nightmare getting the rental car, getting estimates, getting your vehicle fixed, but Amy was ABOVE AND BEYOND any service adviser I'd ever dealt. She was very helpful, very knowledgeable and very sensitive to all the emotions people experience when they've been involved in an accident. When I went next door to Enterprise to rent a car Zack gave me this song and dance about he didn't have any vehicles on a Monday morning and I'd have to come back in the afternoon after I PHONED STATE FARM TO SET EVERYTHING UP? I was livid and went back to Amy. Amy told me she knew someone at Hertz and they came right away to get me! Both Bart the manager at Hertz (I'm sorry, I didn't write down his name! :( ) treated me like I was royalty. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff with Los Angeles County in CA and all we ever heard was bad things we'd done. People need to hear when they've done a great job and Amy fits the bill. I just know that the staff at Rick Hendrick must be so proud to have such an exceptional employee in Amy. Thank you!

I was traveling through Charleston on vacation recently when my truck started acting up. I stopped into the service department after 5 on a friday and they got me right into the shop. They couldn't find a problem and it never did act up again but just knowing that they had checked it over and let me know that nothing was wrong really relieved my mind as I drove out of town. Everyone in service was very nice and got me on my way quickly.

I had my eye's on a corvette that is listed on the internet. The color is what I like and this corvette seam to have the right price listed..I talked to there internet relations salesperson Floyd Sirico. I told him all the used corvette that Hendrick has listed are all over price buy 5000.00 or more. The sale person I talk to talk to fast and had bad attitude problem. I send him pictures of my car that he ask for. That day I did not get a call. The next day I called back and was told that he had to talk to the manager and would call back in a few minutes. Well to keep this short I still have not got a call back. I know the car business because I sold new and used cars at a chevy dealer here where I live. This make two of Hendricks dealership that I have gotten the run around with the sale man the other dealer ship is City Chevrolet in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) Hendricks need to look at his dealer ship and see why his used corvette are not selling because of over price and bad sale man.

We drove almost hour and a half to look for cars in Charleston, supposedly that's where the best car lots are. Our first stop was at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet, which didn't have a wide selection of used cars that I was interested in. We were about to leave their lot, when a burgundy Chevy HHR caught my eye. It was a 2009, and only had 20,000 miles on it. The salesman saw me eying it, and started selling! The price that was listed on the outside of the window was 12,000, and that's the price the salesman was using to sell. He even made remarks like "wow! that's a good price", and told us that sometimes they have a car with a really good price so they can run it in the newspaper to bring in customers. He asked if I wanted to test drive it, and went inside to get the keys. The test drive took 45 minutes because of an accident on a Charleston highway, which was ok, it gave us more time in the car. So after all that, I was sold! I wanted to buy the car! We pulled back in and started the paperwork. Well, the salesman came back and said that someone put wrong price on the car! Now at this point we had already been at this dealership for a few hours. I had my father, brother, and my three year old son with me and we were all getting hungry and grumpy. Basically the salesman said that the manager couldn't honor that price. The manager came to speak to us and basically chalked up the mistake to someone walking onto their lot in the middle of the night changing prices around!! If that is the case, and if they have had problems like that before, you would think that someone, ESPECIALLY a manager at the dealership would be smart enough to put prices on the inside of the vehicles! So my dad (who is a tough customer anyways, I will not deny that) said that he wanted to leave to go to another car lot, and he didn't want to sit around and play games with the people of that dealership. That's exactly what we did. So we get down the road to another business, and we're looking at cars, when my dad asks me if they had given my license back. I Looked all through my purse and I couldn't find it! So, I called "Heavy Chevy" (another salesman at Rick Hendrick) who had given me his card on our way out, and sure enough he said they had my license. So we had to load up and backtrack to get it back, and I walk in the door and they are trying to sell me another white HHR that they don't even have on property because it was in the body shop. Thanks, but no thanks. I got my license back and we left. Our salesman was actually a very nice guy and I could tell that he felt really bad about what had happened. I just can't get over the way the manager acted like he didn't care and was trying to throw the blame on anyone else but them. He almost had and attitude like "I don't need your money!" I also feel that someone should have caught that mistake before we wasted all that time there. It's not like we lived down the street, we drove a long way. I didn't anticipate writing this much and this review is probably filled with all kinds of spelling and grammatical errors, but hopefully my point is getting across!
