Tyler Owens and the team at Ross Downing went above and beyond to get me my dream car. They exhausted every possibility until I got financing, had the car driven in from Florida, and then Mr. Owens even delivered my Corvette personally on a Friday night an hour away from the dealership! Searched all over the internet for a certain color and trim level for the new 2016 Malibu for my wife. Ross Downing had many models similar to what I wanted, and exhibited the foresight to have different add-on levels to match different buyer needs. My out of town sale was consummated smoothly and quickly over the internet, which was my preference. Many Kudos to Mike Elliot for laying the groundwork, Tyler bringing the sale home, and Doug-E for his 'fresh' handling on the finance side of my lease. I bought a vehicle a month ago. It had been sitting in the garage for about a week and a half. When I went to start it one day the battery has dead. I jumped it off and my wife called the dealership. They offered to have it towed in or someone come out, but we stated that we could drive it to the dealership in Hammond. Once there the vehicle was seen too immediately and the battery was replaced since it was under warranty. The service staff were very professional and friendly and answered all our questions.

My Equinox didn't come with a remote start I phoned Ross Downing to inquire about getting remote start installed and Mr. Earl in the parts dept. informed me that Ross Downing could install remote start for me so he order the part and I got it installed on March 1, 2016. Service was very prompt. The service man that came to the waiting area to get me after the service was done was very polite and explained what they had done. He also said that they had checked the on the service that would be needed in the near future and there was nothing my car needed at that time. They also washed my car when the service was finished. That was a plus! The only thing I could have wished for was that they would have vacuumed it, too. They have a wonderful service department at Ross Downing and I'm so glad that's where I purchased my car.

The lady that answered my phone calls in the service dept. (not receptionist) was horrible and for that reason I would not reccommend. My service guy who diagnosed car was awesome and very helpful though. I did feel that taking 2 days to diagnose car was ridiculous and caused me difficulty in getting to work on time for 2 whole days.

I recently took my Malibu with an aluminum V6 DOHC into Ross Downing Chevrolet for service. I told Assistant Service Manager Mike Terry that it had overheated, and that it has a blown head gasket. I was convinced of it. Mike is a mechanic, who specializes in the internal workings of the combustion engine. He knows his stuff. He listed a bunch of tests he would like to do on the car, but I knew it was a blown head gasket. I asked how much it would cost to repair the head gasket. It could run into the thousands of dollars. I cannot tell you my relief when Mike called me the next day and told me it was only a loose wire, and I was only charged for the corresponding diagnostic tests which were performed. Everyone I have dealt with at Ross Downing is very nice, and I can now confirm their service department is honest. You can trust them for an honest evaluation of your cars problems. I do. My faith in Chevrolet is renewed.

The salesman refused to let me speak to the sales manager about prices. Said the INTERNET price is the best price. No negotiating. However, if there is a repair needed, they increase the price of the vehicle higher than the listed price. So if you see anything questionable about the vehicle they fix it then increase the vehicles price. If you ask more than once to speak to the sales manager or point out it has problems, they "suggest" you go look at other cars at other dealerships. Thankful for his suggestion because I did just that and ended up purchasing from a different dealership. I would never recommend this type of service to anyone. They don't deserve your money. Go elsewhere just as the salesman recommended! You will be much happier.

I only trust Darren and Joe to work on my 95 ZR1 as that LT5 is a very unique engine. I have another Chevy dealer right around the corner from me but they don't have a clue when they look at the engine but Joe knows it like the back of my hand. I have bought many new vehicles over the years, but none were handled as quick and efficiently as my experience with Ross Downing. I bought a new corvette from out of state and was totally dependant on Barry to be straight up and honest with me. Barry made good on everything we discussed. I was picked up at the airport and delivered to the dealership to find my new corvette waiting for me. After 30 minutes of going over the vehicle and learning how to use all the accessories,I was given the keys and out I went.I would recommend Ross Downing to any of my friends and would do business with them again.

This was applied to my loan application and my monthly note lowered. That extra effort did not have to happen. This will help pay for my oil changes. I drove to Ross downing from close to 100 miles away to take advantage of this dealerships outstanding prices on a brand new 2012 Chevrolet siverado. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Mr. Pete Pomares was very knowledgable and easy to approach & talk to. I felt very good as I left the dealership. The service was really great. Everyone was waiting at the front of the building to greet you ready to answer any questions or concerns you had. They were so kind they asked if we wanted something to eat and drink while we waited. They also let us test drive the car to get a good feel of the vehicle to make sure that's the car i wanted to purchase. I think is really a good place to go and they work with you. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Mike with the internet sales was the reson I chose Ross Downing. He replied to my email ASAP and was very informative. He said he would call me on Friday morning when you opened at 9:00 am and at excatly 9:00 he called. I was dealing with Rainbow Chevy in LaPlace as well but they did not respond and call me back when I left several messages. Doug and Jason we just as pleasent to work with as well. I bought a 2007 Chevy Tahoe from Ross Downing in July 2007 and had a negative experience which the dealership worked to make right. I told them then since they righted the wrong I would buy my next vehicle from them. I bought a 2012 Chevy Equinox in early November 2011. I could not have asked for a better experience. Every question I asked was answered, I never once felt pressured or pushed into a decision, and everyone went above and beyond the call of customer service. I will most definitely buy my next vehicle from Ross Downing and I will use Mr. Barry Beck as my salesman again!!!!

after totaling out my 2006 model Z71 that i also purchased from ross downing,it had 263,000 miles on it and was still doing fine, i had to find a replacement truck. i went to ross downing on a monday to see what they had on the lot. after looking at the 2011 Z71 crew cab (gas) model and the 3/4 ton diesel, i left there awaiting to hear from my insurance company,and kinda dissapointed that the models had changed soo much the new trucks just did not seem to fit me whyle sitting behind the wheel.after dealing with the insurance adjuster on thursday of the same week and he confirmed the 06 model was totaled out,i went back to ross downing still looking,not expecting to buy just yet (pending the pay off from my insurance)for my down payement.boy was i wrong i got in my new truck that same afternoon ZERO down and with a note that was apx $30.00 more than what my 2006 madel was. after driving my new 2011 Z71 for a few days you can not pry me from my truck. thanks to the whole staff at ross downing chevrolet for all they have done. (ps)i will be buying another from them. my wife will be looking for a new car in the future (she likes the impala and the cruze).

Dealing with Ross Downing Chevrolet was an awesome experience. We were shopping for a used vehicle and found the prices on the new vehicles were lower than used. We let the Ross Downing Chevrolet know what we were interested in. Mr. Doc Morris was so accomodating. He made an appointment for us to view the 2011 Black Tahoe on a Friday afternoon. We arrived, looked at the Tahoe, done deal. Mr. Morris even called our home a few days later to see if we had any questions about the vehicle or if we needed anything. I have had my heart set on a Cyber Gray Grand Sport since the introduction of the car. I had been searching for used ones more out of curiosity than really intending to buy. I was in an intense loving relationship with my 03 Vette. I searched Autotrader for new ones and Lo and Behold Ross Downing showed up on my search. I put in some info and Jason Bernius called the next day. They offered me a deal that was mind bending but enough to drive from Houston to Hammond. I couldn't have been more pleased. I kept waiting for the gotcha moment to happen but it never did. They offered me a fair trade over the phone for my 03 Vette and gave me exactly what they said they would. Jason Bernius treated me like a king. I've never had a better car buying experience. I even liked the finance guy Ryan Hess!!! I even bought an extended warranty which I've never done before. It was just too good to pass up on. Never say never!!! Ryan, you should get a trophy for selling me an extended warranty but the price was great and it's good to know that I don't have to worry about my Vette for 6 yrs. I wish I lived closer because I would be great buddies with everyone at the dealership. I guarantee they would get tired of me hanging around. It was the best 650 mile round trip I ever made. I chose to do business with Ross Downing Chevrolet because I saw an advertisement on the internet with the lowest price on a Traverse. At first I wondered if the information would be accurate and if the car would actually be available when I arrived. Of course, it was just as described and the price was as stated. Mr. Pete met us in the pouring rain and very nicely assisted us. We didn't buy that day since it was our first visit and we weren't sure, but we were very satisfied with the price, the service, and the quality of the car.

The first contact that I had with Ross Downing was online with Kim Dominick. She was extremly helpfull with providing me the information that I requested. After emailing and talking on the phone I decided to go to the dealership to talk in person about buying a new truck. Upon arrival at Ross Downing my family and I where greated by everyone there. I brought my 10 month old daughter with me. Everyone at the dealership was very kind and played with my little girl which made me feel very welcome. I was very happy to see that the truck I had been delivered as the website said it was in transit. After a quick test drive it was time to sign papers. Douglas was very helpfull in getting me the best price possible for the truck I wanted. Overall a very well experience for my first time purchasing a new vehicle. And the service is still great. My first contact with this dealership was through the internet via corvette forum. They had the exact vehicle that i wanted in stock . The price was clearly stated. They gave a fair trade on my previous car. I drove from Atlanta to Hammond last weekend. Traffic was busy and they waited after closing on a Friday afternoon for us. The car was prepped and ready, all paperwork was prepared. A totally awesome experience. This was in direct contrast to a large local corvette dealer who had a similar car in stock . The drive to Hammond was worth it . Would buy my next vette from here without thinking twice.

Negotiation was very pleasant they gave me the best price available and also helped my get a better price by suggesting possible discounts available and if I qualified for these. I went to Ross Downing to have my Saab serviced and I actually paid less than I was quoted. That made me very happy! They also pointed out a bad tire and recommended I rotate it to the back until I could afford to get a new one! I will be returning to Ross Downing Chevrolet in the future.

I bought vehicles from this dealership from the late 70's till 1984. I then became an avid Toyota ownwr for the last 26 years. I contacted Dudley Downing about a new truck and within 2 days I had purshased a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab. The dealership and the truck are exceptional. I was a first time car buyer from New Orleans and knew exactly what kind of car I wanted. Ross downing Chevrolet had a good selection so that's where I headed. A different car at another lot caught my eye on the way to Hammond, so I stopped and talked to the dealer about it. He wasnt interesed in negotiating and had little knowledge of the car. I left and went to Ross Downing to continue shopping and found exactly what I was looking for. Jayson Bernius was my salesperson and knew everything about the car I asked. I was still trying to decide on which car I wanted and Jayson allowed me to take their car to lunch to weigh my options. I decided on the G6 from Ross Downing and we began negotiating a price and filling out credit applications to get financed. Ryan Hess worked for me on two separate days to get me the car. Eventually something worked and I got to drive away in a G6. I could not have asked for nicer people willing to do more for me. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Excellent experience (for both new Corvettes - one bought 7 years ago and one bought recently). I wish the dealer was a little closer to Orange, TX ! I think the service dept is second to none (although I do need to bring my car back for a minor problem with the middle rear brake light). I have heard from several of my friends of their good experiences with Ross Downing also from a sales perspective.
