My wife and I searched for a good used vehicle (Toyota 4Runner) within a 150 mile radius of Milwaukee. We found the vehicle we were looking for online, negotiated in good faith both online and via telephone, and were able to pick the vehicle up the next day. We worked with Christopher Bergmans on the sales team. Because only one of us was able to drive to Madison to finalize the transaction, Chris even arranged to have one of his team members drive the vehicle to our home after closing. My wife received the vehicle in time to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. I would highly recommend this dealership to those within a reasonable driving distance- they really go to bat for their customers, and there was no pressure throughout the entire transaction. I would highly consider buying from them again!

Recently I was in the Madison area due to a sick child. I had been having running issues with my Durango for a couple years now but every time I took to a different dealership, they were not able to find the issue. They would put my vehicle on the computer and no codes would show. While my son and I were leaving the clinic in Madison, the truck began acting up again. We were right down the road from Russ Darrow Dodge, Madison East, so I decided to make a quick stop at the dealership. I was greeted right away by the Service Manager and he said that he would have one of his best technicians look at it right away and would keep me posted as to what they find. After about an hour, the prognosis was in. Hole in the EGR tube, which cause a fuel/air in-balance, making the truck not be able to find the correct fuel mixture. They told me they would have to order parts but could have the vehicle fixed on Monday. They gave me two alternatives for the fix. Replace all parts due to mileage on the vehicle or fix just the tube. They told me to think about it over the weekend and come back first thing Monday AM to have the repair made. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted by the manager again who than walked me over to another service rep. who took care of getting this started in the shop. He got me settled with a rental car and off I went to work. Later on that day I got a call that my vehicle was done. I returned to the dealership, picked up my Durango and low and behold....My SUV runs like it never has before. Thank you to the service manager, service rep and the awesome service technician for finding the issue and getting it resolved so quickly, when 2 other dealerships couldn't. Your top-notch treatment to a new customer was greatly appreciated and has brought back my confidence in Dodge dealers, especially yours!

This review is mostly on the service department. It has taken 6 weeks and 3 visits to have our rear spoiler on our new van replaced after it fell off. The parts were not ordered timely, or sent for painting the between the first and second visit, then after waiting around an hour on the second visit we were told they didn't order all the parts. Each time we had to contact the service department for information and follow up as the service writer didn't do his job. Finally the third visit took over 2 hours for a minor repair and again I had to go out and ask where my van was. Find another service department, and if it is a warranty/recall-go to a different Dodge. Even if you have to drive out of town, it will still get done faster

Bryan is the Service department truly cares about the customer. I did have to bring my car in twice but with a problem that isn't always showing it's ugly face it is hard to find. Bryan went the extra mile for me by contacting the warrantee company and making sure that they covered the costs per the agreement. Sometime ago, I had the service manager at Russ Darrow work on my tire sensors. He told (Tod) me that he replaced all new (Chrysler Tire Sensors) in my Pacifica Chrysler 2004 and just last week (2 nd or 3 rd of June) he now tells me that I had a shop put different sensors in my tires as they were not the ones that he had put in the tires. I told Tod that we never had any other shop work on our van other then Russ Darrow. I have taken our 2 vans in for work and I must say that the labor to us goes thru the roof. My wife told me that from now on, when we need an oil change, we will do it ourselves and other work we will take it to a private repair specialist who was recommended to us from a friend of my wife's at her job.

Went there due to an add on their website. Greeted by sales manager and introduced to salesman from there. Told him what we wanted and what we would pay. He made it happen along with a good stock selection and test drive. Salesman listened and delivered. He met our expectations and made the experience enjoyable. I never felt like I was being sold, I felt like I was buying. Only negative was salesman's desks were too cluttered together and I always had an audience within arm's length. Didn't always feel comfortable in discussions because there was no privacy. Made me uncomfortable discussing sensitive information knowing those other people were listening\judging.

The deal was for a used Saturn, from one of their sister stores. We were given one key (without a keyless entry fob) at the time of purchase. We asked about the second key, had to call back about it, and were then told there wasn't another one. I guess I should have made that part of the contract before I bought it, but you expect to get these things when you purchase.

Wife and I have been excited about and actively looking for a 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T plus since we heard that they would be arriving this Fall. As luck would have it, we decided to check the ol' internet on our day off and what do you know, Russ Darrow in Madison had the car we wanted (minus our color choice but the car's jazz blue is awesome in its own right). We set up a visit and upon arrival, Chris Craemer, a salesmen at Russ Darrow met us at the door and promptly began helping us out. I was impressed by his knowledge of sports cars as well as his cool demeanor, not over pushing but still enthusiastic to highlight all the neat stuff accompanied in the new Challengers. He could also talk technical specifics for me while helping my wife, who doesn't know much about autos, understand the details in a respectful manner.... big plus. Needless to say, we were ready to buy if all items checked out and Chris went above and beyond to make sure of this. I now drive one of the "sweetest" cars out there.... truly an instant classic! Others at Russ Darrow also made my experience smooth and enjoyable. If anything, if your interested in a new car, I would highly recommend at least stopping by if Mopar is in your future.

I almost walked out of the dealership because of the time it took to complete the paperwork. I was going out the door when the finance guy said he was ready for us. A plus for the amount time was a lower interest rate, but if you don't have hours to spend on getting a car, look elsewhere.

I will never purchase a vehicle from this place!! I went in on a Saturday mid-day to look at a Grand Cherokee. I walked around the lot for awhile, has 4 sales guys walk past without acknowledgement; thought ok it's a busy Saturday. I then walked into the showroom, stood by the grand Cherokee in the middle of the showroom since that was the vehicle I wanted to look at and test drive. I stood there for 30 minutes, had multiple sales members walk-by look at me and keep walking without any acknowledgement. I watched as 3 guys stood there and talked about their plans for the weekend, watched as another one stood drinking a cup of water and then proceeded to chew on the styrofoam cup. After 30 minutes of being completely ignored the final straw was when a middle-aged man walked in and was immediately helped. After leaving I called the sales manager to report my experience. The sales manager said he was sorry and asked me to come back so he could handle my sale and get me a good deal; I asked what he was wearing today and he was one of the multiple sales people that passed me without acknowledgement. I am a 30 year old professional in town; I will never purchase from ANY Russ Darrow Dealership because if this experience. Sorry you lost out I'm going to Zimbrick!

I purchased a used vehicle from the dealership and no less then 2 hours after leaving the check engine light came on and the passenger side windows wouldn't roll down. So I gave the dealership a call only for them to call me back saying the manager said he won't do anything for us because we already got a "deal" on the truck. I then turned around and immediately called the next manager up from the used car sales manager and left him a voicemail which he has yet to return my call and it has been more then a week later. If I could rate russ darrow less then one star I would. Absolutely would never recommend this dealership to any person I know, in fact if they were even debating going there I would strongly urge them against it. RUSS DARROW SELLS CHEAP FAULTY VEHICLES!!!!

I was in a pinch to find a new van, I walked into Russ Darrow Madison- east, and was greeted by this nice and polite gentleman. We talked for a little bit and I gave him an idea of what I was looking for, to my disappointment he was the finance manager?? Ryan. Ryan sent Jake the salesman over to help me. Jake introduced himself along with the trainee he had with him. we went out to look at vans and when I found one I wanted to test drive, Jake went and got on ready to drive. We were ready to go for a ride and Jake didn't know where the person he was training went to. so we left without him. (ditched him) Jake was very pleasant on our drive and he was telling me about the van we were riding in. when we got back to the dealership we went to Jakes cube to sit and do some numbers. Jake's trainee found us and Jake sent him off to get some paperwork and the called his trainee a not so nice name under his breath. We filled out the paperwork and Jake went to talk to Ryan to see what they could figure out, leaving his trainee with me and my friend.(I don't think that qualifies as training?) Jake came back basically pouting because the numbers did not work. It was already a long stressful situation without have my salesman acting like a child. Finally we got the numbers to work out, Ryan did a great job getting all the financing to work out for me. I heard later that the trainee did not work out for Russ Darrow, that's too bad because his training that day sucked. ( I suggest you use a different sales person to do your training. It had be a long day for everyone , it was time to go and finish the deal tomorrow. I understand that as sales people you don't want the customer to walk out the door without purchasing but it was really time for me to go. I should have known That I would get the pressure that if I didn't buy the van today that I could not get the same deal the next day, give me a break Jake. When we came the next day there was a sale going on and, and Jake was more interested in recruiting more sales than helping me complete mine. Lucas took over and help me finish the transaction, he was very helpful and professional, thank you Lucas. To this day I am still waiting for my second key, Jake said it was in the cup holder but, but we never did find a that key. I also got pressure to fill out this survey in a more positive way because, it is used as a report card for the salesman, I put off filling it out until I received a letter and an email asking me to fill it out overall, If I would have had the time to look for something else I most likely would have gone to a different dealership, or at least asked for a different salesperson.

Had some repair work done on our town & country. I was pleased with the customer service, we were well taken care of. Service dpt guys were friendly, helpful and knew there stuff. It wasn't until after we brought van home and spoke w/ family and friends did we find out the repair costs were twice to 2/3 more then other dealers in area. They charged 2 separate computer scans of $52.75 each! That's just plugging the computer in to read codes! They wanted $202 to replace tire sensor, my mother had the same sensor at different dealer for $100. I guess they can be nice as can be when they know they are over charging you. That is the last time Russ Darrow will get any business from my family.

We finally found the vehicle we wanted and it was in Milwaukee so we were told the vehicle would be there by Monday because their power was our on Saturday and nobody wanted to pick up the phone to call Milwaukee to get the vehicle sent up because the couldn't use their computers. All they had to do was pick up the phone. My husband called on Monday to see what time we could come test drive it and they told us they already sold it so I guess they pick and choose who they want to work with. We went to Evansville Ford and bought a very nice vehicle and got excellent service.

Spent way too much time being jerked around. They showed us a van out of our price range then said don't worry about the sticker. We repeated our payment range several time and just wanted a bottom line price since we were short on time. They came back way off. We repeated if they couldn't get it in our range don't waste our time. We where told since we were short on time that day we could make an appointment and they were sure they could do it. We took off work to come in. We were passed off to another sales person and that person never showed and they didn't have the paper work. After talking to the same manager who told us he could do it he said he wasn't able to do any better. We left with no van and wasted 5 hours in 3 trips. Never again!

Russ Darrows service center is top notch. The sales dept not so much. I had to have an engine replaced under warranty there. It was unbelievably painless. They handled the rental car and replacement like true professionals. I got my car back in something like 11 days and I never had to go back for additional work. They did excellent quick work and I now go there for routine maintenance.

Showed up to buy a minivan, was told I qualified, picked out a van, gave manager Ryan a check for $3000 (downpayment), took the van home. Ryan told me I would do all the signing of the paperwork the next day because the creditor we were dealing with was closing. He also said he wouldn't deposit my check until the paperwork was signed. Ryan called me the next day (a friday) and informed me that he had jumped the gun and I would need to bring the van back (I didn't qualilfy afterall). Of course I was upset and I told him I would be there within 20 mins. About 10 minutes later I arrived at the dealership and was told that Ryan had just left for vacation (no, I'm not kidding). At that point I started dealing with Jason (another manager) and I told him I wanted my $3000 check back since I was returning the van. He informed me that the check had already been taken to the bank (before any paperwork had been signed and after Ryan told me it wouldn't be cashed). Sure enough, the check cleared that night. On Monday morning (the next business day) I brought the proof from my bank that it had cleared (as Jason requested) and I was told I could get my check with a few hours. That didn't happen. I had to call over and over again all day long to get him on the phone and find out when I would be getting my $3000 back. They had my $3000 and I had NO vehicle. I didn't get the check back until later that evening, so I wasn't able to get it deposited in my bank until Tuesday. Also in regards to Ryan...He was very unprofessional, used profanity constantly (I think he thought he was being funny or amusing). An example : When I told him my current vehicle had broken down on a cold winter day and left me stranded, his reply was, "Well your van is a D*CK"...again, that's just one example. He was ridiculous to the point that I was embarrassed for him. One positive note : My salesperson was Bob and he was very friendly and professional. I now have a 2011 Minivan that I love and I did NOT purchase it at Russ Darrow :)

I conducted most of my dealings on line with Chuck to work out a price on an Optima. Then finalized the deal with Cliff. Both of them were great to work with. I had a hour and a half drive roughlt to test drive the vehicles they had in my price range. Cliff worked hard to see that I good test drive all the vehicles get the papers signed for the vehicle I wanted and out the door with the vehicle that day. The car runs great and still has its warranty. I would recommend this dealership if you live in and or around the area. They take care of there customers.
