I bought my car from out-of-state, over the phone. As someone new to this, it felt very risky: buying a car without looking at it or driving it. (I did pay a local repair shop to inspect the car) The main person I delt with was Gabriel. He was helpful and friendly. Never did I feel any pressure or aggressiveness. The sale went smoothly and they helped me afterwards to get a transport company to haul the car across the country. I would definitely buy another car from these folks. The employees at Schepel Cadillac in Merrillville are very professional and courteous. I've had to take my car in for basic oil changes and some recalls. The service department is exceptional. My time is important to me. I make the appointment, come in and no waiting! Everything is ready to go. Always willing to give me a loaner vehicle so that I don't have to wait for two hours for a recall service. They all do a great job!

Gabriel young was a great sales person very relaxed and willing to work with us. However the management was very rude and offered the car at value almost double that of the value it was worth. I would go back to the dealership to work with Gabriel young, however the manager would keep me away. I would give Gabriel Young a 5 star rating. However, the manager I would give a 1 star rating. This is due to a counter offer of 100 dollars less than the asking price on a vehicle that was exuberantly over priced.

I live out of state in Tennessee and I found THE car that I was looking for at Schepel Cadillac. I have to say this has been the BEST car buying experience I have ever had. I was a bit worried about buying from a dealer over the internet, especially being so far away from where we live, and not being able to see the vehicle in person. But they worked with us well and the buying experience went very well. They took extra pictures for me and assured me of any possible issues with a used car. They are friendly, easy to work with, and helpful. when we got our vehicle delivered, I was pleasantly surprised of the condition of the vehicle. I Worked with Matt Gonzales and he helped me with my dream truck purchase, Schepel Cadillac had a 1975 Chevrolet C-10 listed on-line and it was in better condition than what they had described it to be. I live several states away and was nervous about a long distance on-line purchase but Matt guaranteed a smooth transaction right down to getting several pictures and even a You Tube video of the vehicle in action. We came in to purchase a 2013 Luxury SRX. The Sales and Leasing consultant Mike Dalton was very helpful in accommodating our needs. Very personable and well knowledged in the Cadillac line of vehicles. Although, we didn't get specifically what we wanted in options for the vehicle, we were satisfied with the nearest vehicle to meet our requirements. General Sales Manager, Jason Boone assisted in the process of meeting our price window of purchasing the new vehicle (with our Trade-In's). The sales "team" concept was evident in the whole process. An exceptional outstanding attention worth noting, was with the service department. With the few defects due to manufacture plant delivery (scratch and pin-hole in the front panel doors; dimples on leather from all-weather mat placed on rear seating area), the service team went above and beyond to satisfy our vehicle to prestine condition for us. They also updated the software to the "CUE" system, and provided a courtesy vehicle while they rectified the defects for our use. A big "Thank you" goes out to Service Manager Mark Kooi, and Service Consultants Lee Muhleman and Keith Brownewell, and the service staff. Outstanding attention to detail to our concerns was evident within the service department. WELL DONE !!!

I would first like to start by saying this dealership is by far the best dealership around. My wife and I have purchased our last 2 vehichles here. The first 1 was our H3 Hummer in 2006 and our 2nd one was a cts4 in april 2012. We visited several dealerships around northwest indiana but only Schepel had given us the best price with our trade in and they were the only dealership willing to make u feel at home Luxury cars are not really in our budget, but they made it happen for us. The sales team felt like family to us. There was no hassle what so ever. Schepel has backed any and all the things that they promissed ( not that we ever expect more than what's fair) but we feel they really went out of their way to make sure we we're more than happy. We will continue to purchase our vehichles from them in many years to come. I would highly reccommend schepel to any and every one that appreciates customer service and quality cars. Well, I usually do not give reviews but I figured since I went to more than one location to look for a luxury vehicle, and have dealt with luxury dealerships in the past, I can give a decent and honest review. I was looking for a new vehicle last week, possibly a CTS and looking to trade in my 2007 Acura RL, and let me tell you that I wouldn't purchase the vehicle here. Even though this dealership would be considered "luxury", it was a huge disappointment. The atmosphere there felt like I was at some sleezy used car dealership in the hood. The staff was not very helpful, but they felt more like hawks stalking prey as I was browsing vehicles outside. The point is, they seemed overly desperate to sell me something, and I had the feeling of being pressured. I know that's how sales works and these people need to make a living, but seriously, let a person breathe when they're looking at outside inventory, not hover over them as soon as they walk around the lot. I can't even remember the guy's name I dealt with, something with an M, but he was younger, and he seemed more interested in what he wanted me to buy, instead what I was actually looking for. I was very turned off by him, and my husband was definitely not a fan of him either. We ended up leaving the dealership and driving down the street the Lexus of Merillville location nearby. What a TOTALLY different feeling and atmosphere. No one was watching browse the cars, the inside actually looked and felt like a luxury dealership, and the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly, which convinced me enough I was dealing with the right people...but that's for another review. Either way, I would not recommend purchasing a car here. I read the review below this one and wow, isn't it the dealer's responsibility to get pricing/loans correct before finishing a transaction? I'm sure they made enough money on that poor guy's purchase where they could of eaten the difference that was their own fault. They held his plate papers hostage? Pathetic! Thankfully I never made it to the point of sale, yikes!

Where do I start? The entire experience was horrible. After I owning my car for 3 weeks, I called to find out where my paperwork was for my license plates. It was supposed to be sent by mail. They informed me that I owed $160 to them, because they did not pay off the right balance on my trade in to the bank. Which is not my fault, they are supposed to call my old bank for proper payoff amount. I was told by the salesman 3 phone calls later that there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to the manager who told me that " I have been in the business 30 years, and this happens. Pay me or you don't receive your plates!" I began to explain that this was not my fault and the deal was done weeks ago. He explained "Go ahead, keep paying on your car, it won't do you any good without any plates" He was very rude, and not would not even give me a chance saying " Go get an attorney, I don't care " and " I'm not sure why you are just finding this out now, the salesman is newer " ???? This dealer will get whats coming, with treatment like this!Long story short, they are not professional. They are not like any other Luxury Car Dealers. Do not shop here! They are worse then a fly by night sleazy car dealership!

I asked to speak to the manager who told me that " I have been in the business 30 years, and this happens. Pay me or you don't receive your plates!" I began to explain that this was not my fault and the deal was done weeks ago. He explained "Go ahead, keep paying on your car, it won't do you any good without any plates" He was very rude, and not would not even give me a chance saying " Go get an attorney, I don't care " and " I'm not sure why you are just finding this out now, the salesman is newer " ???? This dealer will get whats coming, with treatment like this! Long story short, they are not professional. They are not like any other Luxury Car Dealers. Do not shop here! They are worse then a fly by night sleazy car dealership! ....Still waiting on my paperwork after I paid by credit card over the phone....

I can honestly say this is only my second car purchased through a dealership, but I can truely say that my overall experience was comfortable, pressure free, pleasant, and enjoyable. My sales person was Jorge and his overall professionalism was AAA he was knowledgable, friendly and extremly accomadating to all of me and my wife's needs. We made several return visits to the dealership when we were looking for a car and everytime we came in he never once made us feel pressured to purchase, and when we finally made our decision he was nothing but helpfull to see it through every step and continues to follow up even after the purchase.

I purchased a 2008 cadillac SRX through Jorge and he was outstanding as a sales rep through his customer service and his overall knowledge of Cadillac products. There was a no pressure environment and very friendly employees. I had to take my vehicle to the shop for a check up after my purchase and the customer service again was outstanding and over the top friendly. I highly recommend this dealership for shop work or purchase.

I have heard a lot over the years on what a professional organization Schepel is. I leased a 2010 Cadillac CTS from them and I can honestly say they exceeded my expectations. From sales to service, I was very impressed with this dealership.
