Just took delivery of a used car at Sheehy. I'm not local, so everything was done via phone and email, and I flew in to pick up the car. Here's what made the experience an excellent one:1. Travis handled all of the paperwork efficiently and it was all sent overnight via FedEx2. The car was accurately described, no surprises when I saw it the first time. 3. It was clean and nicely detailed, the wiper blades were new and it had a full tank of gas4. They had me out of there and on the road in less than 30 minutes.I'm not inclined to gush about car dealers. I've had far too many negative experiences, generally the bar is set pretty low. Sheehy is a pleasant exception. Friendly, professional and good attention to detail.

My boyfriend and I have previously been Subaru owners. We both came here and made our first Subaru purchases before our recent visit. We went in to see a used vehicle that we were interested in mostly for my boyfriend and we both ended up trading in our vehicles for our dream cars! NEW not used. I recently purchased two WRX's a month apart. Bought one for my son as a graduation present from college, and after driving it, loved it so much I sold my 9-year old Cayman S and bought one for myself. First, the buying experience was top notch. I stood in front of Greg, the new car Manager and made a deal in about 4 minutes. The second car took 3 minutes. Both were well below sticker, and in my mind fair deals for both the dealership and me.Second, the WRX is an amazing machine. The price to performance ratio is off the charts. The WRX isn't for everyone, but I am seriously thinking about a Forrester for the wife when her Ford Edge lease is up. You owe it to yourself to check out the Subaru line-up. Great, capable (all-wheel drive) cars. One note: Most of the vehicles sold here in Virginia come with summer sport tires. I've seen several reviews where someone will state there Subaru is crap and last snow storm they got passed by a Camry on I-495. Obviously, you need all season or winter tires if you are going to drive further than the grocery store when there is snow on the ground. Recommend the Michelin A3 or Bridgestone Pole Potenza All Season tires.Highly recommend Sheehy Subaru!

I don't normally leave reviews, but the service and extensive product knowledge that me and my family received by Raj, Chris, and Sabrina was top notch! When I first came in, I noticed it was very casual and very energetic. I didn't have a bunch of salesmen jump on me like I had at the Honda dealership. Raj greeted me and found the exact car I was looking at, went through all the features and was very patient with my questions and taking the time to show me how the touchscreen radio, bluetooth, and EyeSight works. When it came time to negotiate the price, I was amazed by the first numbers presented and was better then I thought. With how the numbers turned out I even went with the VIP package and the extended warranty (from Subaru!) based on recommendation and description from Raj and Sabrina. I am very happy and will be calling Raj for my next purchase!

I recently made an appointment for service after having had a problem with my car diagnosed at another shop because I wanted OEM parts. Upon my arrival, the gentleman at the service desk told me to stick around for 45 minutes to an hour so they could verify the problem and decide how to proceed. 3 full hours later, he got me from the waiting room and charged me $130 to identify the problem I already told him the car had. He said they could not complete the service so I made an appointment for the following Saturday. When I got there, a new service rep informed me that they accidentally scheduled the service for another week ahead (even though I confirmed this with the employee) they did not have the parts and could not complete the service. The employees made no effort whatsoever to help me out in anyway and just kept messing up. My car is getting fixed at another Subaru dealer where they were competent and helpful. I am not one to post reviews or complain but this service was so bad it would be comical if it weren't so frustrating.

When you visit Sheehy Subaru you have to ask for Adam Edwards. I went in a few weeks ago to test drive a few vehicles. Adam immediately acknowledged my husband and I when we walked into the dealership and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the automobiles. We advised him that we were only there to test drive and were also planning on visiting a few other dealerships. He wasn't pushy about making a sell, he said the vehicle would be waiting for us if we decided to purchase from Sheehy. We did not return that day and did not receive any phone calls from him, unlike other dealerships that we visited. We returned Sunday and purchased the vehicle with confidence! Adam treated us like family! If you're looking for a salesman that is funny, knowledgeable, personable and goes above and beyond, ask for Adam!

WANTED TO GIVE A 0....BUT YOU FORCE ME TO PICK AT LEAST 1 STAR...YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE THAT!!Subaru has elected to let the individual dealerships run (i.e. operate with autonomy, full authority and control) the service of the vehicles that are bought, sold and serviced. Which is "supposed" to allow the individual stores to tailor their service and customer experience to their clients. However, there is no central control agency that ensures a minimum level of quality service or consistent experience. The dealerships, seem to run in a manner where they, simple look at everyone as a potential source of revenue rather than feeling any responsibility toward customer, at all. The result of that management decision, Subaru's decision, in my humble opinion, is that any service one receives at any Subaru dealership totally inconsistent with achieving a positive customer experience. The service teams that I have been involved with, have either been very, very poorly managed, full of poor performers or they simple do not care about providing quality workmanship or service to the client. In my experience, specifically here at Sheehy, the service staff clearly has taken an adversarial stance with respect to the client...it seems to me, that they lie to you quite regularly and find every possible reason to, not only, minimize the issue in question but, also, look to every issue or concern as another opportunity to make money. Basically, if Subaru, Subaru of America or the individual dealership (Sheehy Subaru of Springfield) isn't making money off the interaction...then there's no interaction and everyone points the finger at everyone else. Specifics: My vehicle is a 2005 Subaru Baja Turbo.1. Brought car to dealership in Michigan, while on Christmas break in 2012...had to get the clutch and fly-wheel replaced for an ENG CONTR light? Then, when I started having issues with the work from that fix, took the car in to Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, VA (back in town) and asked them to fix up the work/issue that the service techs tried to fix up in Michigan. It was within 1 year but, no luck, they told me I would have to take the car back to Michigan to get that handled. xxx?2. Brought car to Sheehy Subaru in summer of 2014. A substantial amount of money (pretty sure it was over $9000) in repairs was done to my vehicle (if not all, most of the issues stem from an Engine design that has known issues). Of course the individual dealerships have no problem selling fixes to problems that continue to come up...because it's (either a purpose built failure or the decision was to handle the common known failure as a source of income). However, I was willing to accept the charade assuming they could fix my car up (as I really like my vehicle...except for the engine issues). Anyway, at the time, I told Sheehy, since you are opening up the engine, do a full check on everything...I don't want to have to come back for any more engine issues after this fix. I was verbally assured that this would happen. One thing I found interesting, again the work done on the vehicle seemed to be in the manual transmission and other things NOT focused on the Engine. I brought this up when picking up the vehicl but, was told to drive the vehicle and see how things go. I called twice more in the first year after those repairs indicating that I was intermittenantly getting the ENG CONTR light, again. Was told to bring it in when it a steady problem. Which didn't occur until the spring of 2016.3. Finally, had to take the vehicle in because the ENG CONTR light was pegged on, i.e. the exact same thing that had been happening in 2012 and 2014. Brought my car in the Sheehy and they want me to pay...again. Are you kidding me? You couldn't fix the car in 2 previous attempts and over $10,000 dollars of reparis and you expect me to believe you have a clue? Unbelievable!4. Just prior to #3 above I received a letter from Subaru indicating that they would buy my vehicle off me, as it's highly desireable. Interesting?5. Now, Subaru of America has offered me a "Loyalty" discount on a new Subaru to make up for the problems I have experienced to date. Amazing!BIG PICTURE: This demonstrates a pattern of behavior designed to take advantage of the consumer.THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SUBARU AGAIN...GIVEN HOW THEY HAVE TREATED A TRUELY LOYAL CUSTOMER!!Jason Van Valin

We came and left with a preowned 2013 Highlander. Raj (sales consultant) and Sabrina (finance director) were kind, patient and worked really hard to help us with this car purchase. They were not pushy and seemed genuinely wanting to assist us in the process & getting us the best price and product possible. The staff from the sales dept seemed to have a good rapport with one another and it was a relaxed environment. I would highly recommend this dealership to anymore.

While I did not buy my Impreza from Sheehy I was welcomed with open arms for my cars first oil change. I should mention that my first oil change would be free from the dealership I purchased the car from, but their hours are 9-5, M-F and I work. Being in desperate need of the service I called Sheehy and talked to Robin Sim. He told me to come in after work and that it would probably take about an hour. When I arrived Robin helped me again. I was checked in right away, my car was serviced (they even washed and vacuumed it), and it took less time than expected. He even realized that I was paying for a service that would have been free from my original dealership and gave me a discount. He has gained Sheehy a loyal customer. I will be returning for all future servicing. They are fast, available, and treat you with understanding. Great work. I'm very satisfied.

I came in wanting to lease a new Subaru. The sales consultant sat down with me and pulled a couple of models around front for me to look at. He was able to answer all of my questions (I had a lot) and was very friendly. The finance guy had worked in the industry for a very long time and was very knowledgeable about Subaru's leasing program vs other manufacturers. This was helpful because I didn't know much about the process. The process was without a doubt the best car buying experience I've ever had. I left the lot with good lease terms on a competitively priced Legacy. I would recommend Sheehy to a friend.

I have owned my Subaru Outback for 6 months and scheduled her 12,000 mile service (yes I drive a lot). I arrived a little late for my appointment, but was welcomed by Trevor with a smile and calling me by name. He went over the details of the service that was due and some additional items I could elect to have done as well as the cost of each item. I decided to have all required and optional maintenance done at one time as I live about 2 hours away (in traffic). It took a little longer than expected as I had added some items (along with an unexpected influx of customers). Trevor quickly apologized, and let me know of the additional time needed and offered a ride to wherever I wanted to go. As a VIP customer, I had the option of a "loaner" car which he quickly provided for me. I was able to get all my errands completed while they worked on my car. I was called immediately when the car was finished, but with no "rush" to return. When I picked up my car, it not only had everything done, but it was spotless (windows and all). The checkout was fast and informative as every line item was reviewed with me. It is well worth the drive to have great work done on my car, and to also be treated so kindly by knowledgeable staff. Thank You Trevor, and thank you Sheehy of Springfield!

If you go to Sheehy Subaru in Springfield, ask for Adam. I bought my scooby, a 2016 Impreza WRX. Adam is friendly and real with you. No pressure, as he wants to get you in the car that you want. Customer service and buying process are A+. I was in a Sunday originally wanting to just take test drives, it started getting late and they were closing up shop, but the staff remained professional and got the sale done. Only knocked the facilities to 4 stars because the lot is small and the selection was minimal, at least for what I was interested in, may not be the case for other models.

I have to say, we started out with a good service experience and things generally being done correctly. However, as soon as we drove away from the lot with a new car, the problems started rolling in. First, the initial loan contract was missing some critical data when it went off to the bank and of course the bank denied the loan. We had to sign a new contract so no big deal but no one needs an unnecessary errand in their day. Next, we find out that we were double charged a significant down payment and again had to to call the dealership and have that fixed. Most recently, after being assured that there were no problems multiple times, we find out the dealership never got or somehow could not get the car inspected to meet state requirements. Again, I had to return to the dealership and get new temp tags and take care of the inspection myself. I reviewed our paper work for the car and realized why this never happened; they were trying to get an inspection for the wrong car! I try not be unreasonable but I can tell you that if I made a series of basic errors like that at my job, I'd be out on the street, hat in hand. I have never had so many problems buying a car from a dealership in my life. Hope they improve their internal process because it is clear that there are a lot of areas for improvement.

I was undecided on what make of car to buy and had test driven 6 different manufacturers models in the Legacy class. "T" not only knows everything about Subaru's but has a good knowledge of other makes as well. Without pushing the sales aspect he contrasted what the Legacy had to offer versus the others I was considering. On the afternoon of 12/26/15, my brother/hubby and I came into the dealer with the intention to buy a new car. We didn't get greed by anyone. My brother had to hunt someone down to help us. The manager Chris introduce us to our salesman Mr. Dean Todd. Dean was not helpful at all. He didn't seem like he wanted to help us. I didn't feel welcome at the dealer but more like piss off that we had to be stuck with Dean. I feel very intimidated. When he actually show us the car to test drive, he didn't even wanted to go test drive with us. Other dealer require a salesman have to be in the car with the customer so they can explain to the customer about the feature of the car. NOPE not with Mr. Dean. Dean gave us the car but didn't explain anything about the car to us. He say he was busy which he was NOT. After we got back from the test drive we saw him sitting in his desk with his PC doing NOTHING. I can see he really don't want to deal with us at all. Also, he was giving my brother, my husband and I an attitude. I didn't appreciated the fact he handed the key of the 2016 Crosstrek crystal white to the other salesman right in front of our face when we were in the process of talking about a deal. Shish, who does that? He doesn't even wanted our business at all. I feel I was being force to buy the crystal white 2016 limited crosstrek when I don't even like the color. I told him I wanted the other color. He say is a special order kind. The way he acted seem like he didn't care about us. Many time he told us that there are more customer than more Subaru car. What kind attitude is that?? Very bad customer service. No salesman tell their customer that. As a customer I am here to buy a car, not to deal with attitude salesman. With that concede attitude I wish him good luck on his salesman career in the future. Worst Customer service ever that I encounter!!!The thing that tick me off the most is when he told us this "I can sale this car by today or by the end of the week." Unbelievable!! Mr. Dean Todd is a very RUDE and unprofessional salesman that I ever meet. Throughout the whole experience I was so frustrated and mad that I don't ever want to come back to Sheehy Subaru Springfield, VA again.

I worked with Larry McGill. I was quoted a full and final 'out the door' price and it was honored. Just the week before I walked out of a previous dealership because they couldn't give me the price they quoted me. Thankfully, Larry was not like that. Wyatt, in finance was pretty straight forward. His job is to sell those warranties and such, but I never felt any pressure. It was fast, smooth, and efficient. No one was too pushy, yet they could answer all of my questions. I give Sheehy a strong rating. I would buy from them again.

I am a long time Toyota owner having driven my first Toyota in 1969 while stationed overseas. Since then I have owned 13 Toyotas including my wife's 2011 Camry. I was looking for a replacement for my 2004 Highlander. I was looking for something smaller than the new Highlander. I test drove the RAV4 but was not comfortable with it. I reluctantly decided to look elsewhere. I had heard good things from friends who drove Outbacks and decided to check them out. On our first visit to Sheehy Subaru we were met at the door by Chris Barr. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions and let us look at our leisure, but let us know he was available if we needed anything. We took a test drive and I was pleased with the quality and handling. After several days deliberation we decided to buy an Outback. On our return we found that Chris had been promoted and he handed us over to Larry McGill. Just as friendly and knowledgeable as Chris. He gave us an excellent orientation on he features of the car and has been available to answer questions since we bought it. Adam Edwards of the Finance Manager made handing over the check almost a pleasant experience- almost. Overall I believe it was as good of a new car buying experience as one can have. I purchased a new 2016 WRX about a month ago but wanted to wait to post a review so I could let the purchase and new car feeling wear off. Bill Gallagher contacted me by phone shortly after I put in a TrueCar quote request and discussed the car and options I was looking for. He told me about the vehicle they had in stock that matched what I wanted and sent me a follow up offer that was lower than the original TrueCar quote with no pressure at all to come in. I went to the dealership a week later and worked with Larry McGill on the purchase. He allowed a short test drive (some dealers won't let you do this at all with WRX) and was patient throughout the process (I brought my 3 year old son) and met my target purchase price for a easy purchase experience. Financing application and purchasing took a little longer than I expected but that is to be expected on a Saturday. They matched the lower interest rate that my bank offered (so I'd recommend getting pre-approved since no current financing deals on WRX). Overall very pleased with the purchase a month later and would definitely buy from them again. Receptionist was very friendly, remembered our names when we returned to pick up the car and called a few times after the purchase to check in on how the car was working out for me and it was nice to talk to Greg about WRX's while I was waiting for financing and they had free pizza!I highly recommend the new WRX. Fun car to drive but also comes with some great technology so it works as my commuter car throughout the week. I don't want to get too far off track talking about the car, but the 2016 WRX has been hard to fine and the wait time ordering it can take 6-8 weeks so it was great to find one with everything I wanted at a fair price just above estimated dealer invoice.

I took a chance coming here on a Sunday afternoon... I am glad I did! Tom Reber was busy with another client, so I first started talking with Greg Maslowski. I was upfront and told Greg what type of Impreza I was looking for, and it happened to be the dealership had the cars I was looking for in their inventory. They provided multiple options that they thought would be a fit. Greg was quick to provide a quote, and later Tom was able to join after finishing with his other client. Not only were Tom and Greg really personable toward me, they had such a rapport with one another that they were able to work diligently together to provide me answers to all my questions. Tom was extremely attentive and patient in person and through email, he was quick to reply on emails regarding the multiple models I inquired about. I want to also give additional thanks to Wyatt in Finance, he did great such a wonderful job despite my horrible attitude at the end. He confirmed what I was looking for and showed me what they had in stock. I even wondered if he was in the right business considering how modest he was. He took us on a test drive and explained the features of the car thoroughly. I initially came in contact with Chris in the middle of an awful situation. I was traveling back to my home in PA when my car died on I-95! I had it towed to Sheehy just to get it off of 95 and in a secure location. Chris was my initial contact at Sheehy. He recognized my tough situation and couldn't have been more helpful. I traveled back to Sheehy a couple of weeks later to dispose of my old car (it wasn't worth fixing) and purchase a new one. Chris seemed to recognize me as soon as I pulled into the dealer lot! He introduced me to the sales manager and explained my situation. From there, Chris and everyone at Sheehy worked with me to get me into a new car at the price I needed and on my way home. Even though I live three hours away, I can honestly say I would make the trip again to see Chris when I need a new car.

We arrived at the Sheehy location in Springfield and it was buzzing with people looking, people buying, and sales people trying to help everyone. We were introduced to Tom and he asked what we were looking for. I knew exactly what I wanted but had not driven an outback, so he got the keys to the one closest to what I was looking for and the test drive began. Tom was calm and more of a listener then the hard-pressure sales I've been used to. He asked questions of what I liked and didn't like in the vehicle and explained with as much or as little detail as I wanted. He was honest in what could and could not be done and provided clear answers; he even saved me a bit of money by ordering a package instead of the options separately. We ordered the car, left a deposit, and were on our way. Was the easiest process I've ever had in car sales. I'll be leaving another review once my new outback arrives and I take delivery; I expect to be even happier once I can drive her home. Thank You Tom!!

Larry even held my car for 2 weeks on the lot because I left the country the day it was delivered, but had it detailed and ready to roll the day I returned from vacation. My wife bought her 2011 Forester from Sheehy with a different salesperson and we received the same level of professionalism then and now. The dealership as a whole, seems to treat customers with respect. They sell cars and are good at it. Subaru makes it easy on them by making great AWD cars. Never do you feel like you are getting hustled or pressured into buying something that you may not need. They show you the products they have and help you choose what fits your life. We stopped by Sheehy Subaru to just get an idea of what I wanted to do with my truck as far as a trade in. Tom was outside and greeted us pretty quickly, which we understand is normal for dealers. However, what was not the norm was that Tom Reber gave us a ton of information regarding what we were thinking about doing and put no pressure on us for a sale. Prior to here, I had been to another dealer the day before and left undecided about which Subaru I wanted due to lack of information or their interest in assisting.The moment I got to Sheehy and wandered around the lot, Corey Jeffers came out to greet me and my husband. He was personable and took us into his office and listened to my concerns about how nervous I was with bigger cars like the Forester. He then advised us and showed us what he had in stock and what was a good choice and brought out the car for viewing and test driving; including the Forester!I had only just returned from Japan and was nervous to drive it out but Corey encouraged me to try it and even showed me how easy it was to use the back up camera!! He took time showing all the features etc with us and he even helped me test drive another Subaru too!I write this because if it had not been for Corey explaining the benefits of a Forester( spacious, safe for family) over a Cross Trek, I would have bought the latter due to my fear of driving bigger cars.The rest of the process was smooth except for price negotiation. Sheehy offers discounts to military but the USAA Auto Circle service would have given an even better discount. Wyatt, with finance, was great too. Corey Jeffers responded to my online inquiry immediately about a 2015 Outback and we set up an appointment for the same day. He spent his entire afternoon and evening patiently allowing me to test drive the vehicles, answering every possible question, and giving honest advice about what was most suitable for my particular situation, needs, and spending limits. He earnestly desired that I receive the best possible deal and be totally pleased with the purchase. The Outback Premium that I selected drove like butter and features innumerable conveniences and touches that reveal such thoughtfulness on behalf of the Subaru designers. Every detail is truly impeccable from the interior lighting, cup holders, cell phone holder and power-lift gate to the gas mileage, cargo space, and hauling capacity. Yet, when I finally arrived home with it, after a 25 minute drive, it was clear that the car was not right for my back condition. I called Corey first thing the next morning (on his day off) and he began working right away with his managers about how they might best resolve the situation. The next day I came in and test drove all of the 2015 Foresters trim levels on the lot and found the Limited to fit me like a glove. I know that I can drive it across country with no back issues, and not even pillow supports. The visibility and steering wheel height are perfect and the car, itself, drives like me - in my test drive on the busy highway, I felt totally confident and safe. Ken, the manager spent the afternoon searching for a Limited in the color I wanted and found the perfect one - without the features I didn't need, but with those that were right for me. Sheehy Subaru proved its worth in not only gold, but most importantly, in virtuous and ethical service throughout this whole situation and at every step. Corey, Ken McAlpine (the sales manager), and Sabrina Morgan (the finance manager) did everything possible not to make me lose money on the deal, as well as not to make me feel guilty or remorseful about the original purchase and the great inconvenience caused by the trade. All of the employees interactions with me and with one another were admirable. Not only did Corey do everything to serve me fully once, but twice. If I were ever to purchase another vehicle, I would go straight back to him and recommend others to do likewise. He is a truly good man, whose moral compass is well-formed and highly operative. I shall be taking my Forester exclusively to Sheehy for maintenance with their VIP plan, and am as thrilled about Sheehy Subura, as I am about my new car. We worked with the salesman "Tee"Enkhbold. We were trying to decide whether to get a sedan or a small SUV. We are used to sedans but were thinking we might like the height of a SUV. Tee showed us the different models and very thoroughly explained the differences. Throughout the process he was focused on what features were most important to us. There was absolutely no pressure to have us buy something with more features than we wanted. If there had been a hard sell we would not have bought from Sheehy. (In fact, there was a Subaru dealership we had gone to where the salesman was too pushy and we did not go back.) We cannot say enough good things about Tee's manner and professionalism and would definitely want to go back to him if we need to buy another car.

I used the USAA Car Buying Service and that made it an easy experience. They did not have the car in stock that I wanted, and instead of pushing something off the lot, they confirmed that I was not in a hurry and let me custom order my car they way I wanted it. Worst car buying experience and total incompetence in their finance department. Dealer failed to cover my trade-in which has subsequently damaged my credit. Spent weeks calling in and showing up in person to say they did not cover the trade in even though they took the title, also filed a complaint with Subaru corporate, BBB, and State Attorney General's office. Staff was and still is completely unresponsive -- from General Manager Frank McCarthy to the Sales Agent Greg Lopez. It has been almost a year and we have not heard a response or follow up on clearing the negative reporting. 2nd time buying from this dealer and 4th Subaru.

I bought my first Subaru from Chris Barr and had the easiest and most respectful car-buying experience ever. I contacted him after test-driving at another dealership located closer to my home, but they didn't have any 2015 Outbacks in stock and I would've had to wait 2 months to get one. Sheehy had one coming in much sooner and Chris immediately told me their best out the door price (lower than any others by a few hundred dollars). Chris told me when the 2015 Outback I wanted would be in stock, but that they'd expect it to be delivered 5-7 days before that date. Other dealers required a deposit of $500 that was refundable (or not at one other dealer I spoke to) and he refused to take any sort of deposit until I came in and met him in person, which was really nice. I went out that weekend to have my car appraised and speak to Chris about making a deal. I don't remember his manager's name, but he was very kind and also respectful when I did come in. I worked out the deal with Chris, got pre-approved for financing through Subaru, and they held the car for me without any money down at all! Although Sheehy couldn't beat the offer Carmax made me on my old car, they sent a very nice porter (Austin) to pick me up in traffic from the local Carmax where I sold my car that day and gave me a 2015 Legacy loaner to drive until my car came in. They really went above and beyond for me with the loaner! Throughout that next week, I had a lot of questions for Chris about Subarus and he was very kind and responsive. My car ended up arriving early (one week later) as Chris told me it would and it is perfect! Purchasing the Outback was a breeze because we had already made the deal. I experienced no high pressure tactics for add-ons or any sort of changes to what we discussed. Sabrina in finance was fabulous and actually ended up getting me a much lower interest rate than they had originally told me. She didn't have to do that and I would've never known that it was possible, so I'm really grateful for that. Absolutely everyone I came in contact with at Sheehy Subaru was very friendly, professional, and excellent to work with. I would recommend buying from them any time! They are honest and up front right from the start. You won't regret it!

My husband and I stopped in on a busy Saturday (the last day of the month) to test drive a WRX. We were greeted quickly and introduced to the newest member of the Sheehy sales team, Robert Baker. Robert quickly determined what we were interested in driving, and then made a case with the sales manager to get us the keys to a WRX to take around the block. Unfortunately, the dealership's tight fist on the keys of WRX and STI may have cost them a sale. We were unable to compare the two cars side by side (an STI wasn't available for a drive), and our road test of the WRX was limited to less than five miles. We understand buyers want super-low mileage on a new car, but getting a sense of the performance in a car is a must. Throughout our test drive and visit to Sheehy, Robert was pleasant and conversational. He was very knowledgeable about other high-performance cars, but never put on a hard sale or made us feel uncomfortable. It's clear Robert's a car lover, and Sheehy is lucky to have a friendly and approachable salesman on board.

My husband and I originally went to a Subaru dealer in Fairfax as it was closer to our home. We looked at the base model Forester. The salesman there seemed willing to work with us, but once we took the car for an extended test drive and returned it he tried to back out of the deal that we'd discussed and didn't want to work with me at all on the value of our trade in. While I was on the extended test drive I came home for my son to take a nap and looked on Edmunds.com for information on the pricing of the Forester. I ended up getting contacted by Minh from Sheehy Subaru. I explained that I was already working with someone and the current deal we were looking at (before they tried to get out of it). He said that he didn't have that model in stock, but that if for some reason the deal didn't work out that he'd love to help us. We walked away from the other dealer and I immediately called Minh. I explained what had happened, that I was tired, had cranky kids and to be brutally honest, didn't want to play the back and forth haggle game. He laughed and said he looked forward to seeing me once we said we would head over to Springfield. We were warmly greeted and he went over the options we had with the vehicles they had in stock and what they had en route. We settled on a nicer version of the Forester with the features that my husband had really wanted. We were there for about 2 hours, which is nothing if you are familiar with the car buying experience, including test drive. The financing was super fast and easy and we left with our beautiful new car which we couldn't be happier with. Thanks so much Minh!

I purchased a vehicle here in August 2014. It took until January 2015 to get the registration due to an error on this dealerships part. Almost 6 months of constant phone calls and emails for any updates, many of which went unanswered. I had to go through 2 sets of temp tags and 3 renewals of a dealer tag in the meantime. The employees at this location need some serious training with customer communication, there was no urgency conveyed at any time during this process. Right up until I received the tags I found myself having to put effort into resolving this issue, including describing which vehicle parked outside was mine to the person HOLDING MY REGISTRATION IN THEIR HAND. While I am happy with my vehicle I cannot imagine doing business with this location again, for service or sales. Be very wary of working with them, if anything goes wrong it is apparently essentially on the customer to handle it.

I just completed my second purchase from Sheehy Subaru - the first was my BRZ Limited in 2013, and just this past week I picked up the new 2015 Outback 2.5 Limited (w/ navigation & eyesight) for my wife. Chris La Porte and Brandon are excellent. I travel a lot so my shopping area spans nearly 250 miles and I'm a strong believer in competitive shopping. This was my first time purchasing a new car from a dealer and I think that Chris may have spoiled me for all future purchases. A few months ago, my husband and I visited Sheehy Subaru and by chance, had Chris as our salesman. We let him know that we would not be purchasing a car that day, which he respected. We weren't heavily pressured to make a purchase. Chris let us take a car for a test drive on our own! We told him that we would be back when we were ready to make our purchase. Fast forward to last week-I contacted Chris on Monday to start the ordering process for my new car. I had expected the delivery of the car to take 10-12 weeks, but he was able to track down the exact car I wanted the following Saturday and I picked it up on Tuesday (a total of 8 days after my order). He had the car ready to go, and quickly oriented me it (pairing my bluetooth, etc). There wasn't any high-pressure sales from Chris or the financing lady (forgot her name). They respected our choice to finance with our bank and didn't push their options. I've had the car for almost a week now, and have already heard from Chris multiple times to see if I needed any questions answered. Chris has been excellent from start to finish. I can't recommend him enough and I know where our next car purchase will be. :)

I'm in the military and being transferred overseas to a country with strict vehicle guidelines, I didn't want a new vehicle but was forced to buy a one. After a few weeks of research and a lot of review reading I settled on a Subaru. All the reviews on dealers and salesmen I read pointed me to Chris La Porte as the person I need to talk to. I first met him on a Thursday (his day off) we talked for about hour on what type of car I wanted and what I was looking for. The following weekend my family and I looked at and test drove the Forster and Outback, Chris was very helpful in selecting the two cars we test drove he listened to what option we wanted and was very accommodating to a family with a toddler and pre-teen. The Forester we test drove was nice but just didn't fit us well, then he put us in a new Outback that came in that morning. First look into the car we fell in love, it drove great and had many features that we loved. Chris put us in the right car without forcing us into something we didn't need or want, he also got us a great price on our trade in which made the purchase of this one even better. We just bought a new Subaru Forester from Sheehy in Springfield last week, after visiting several dealerships, including Beyer on Route 1 in Alexandria. Sheehy was by far the best - our sales consultant, Mariela Ortega, was friendly, knowledgeable, and straight with us (so rare) - I would highly recommend her. The financial adviser was excellent as well. We walked out with a MUCH better interest rate than we were quoted by Beyer Subaru (who hadn't even run our credit, which is good, and quoted us at 5.9% for a new 2015!). Sheehy's selection was also larger, and the paperwork was a breeze. Mariela took the time to introduce us to the car, and set both of our phones up with the car's bluetooth. They also gave us a very generous price on our trade-in car. She called today to follow up and make sure we were happy with our purchase.My best friend comes from a long line of car nuts and VERY experienced and cynical when buying new cars. I called her from the lot of each dealer, and she told us to WALK AWAY from the others. In contrast, she was very impressed with Sheehy - she said the interest rate we got here was excellent and confirmed that we got a great deal.

I spotted the car I wanted at a price I wanted to pay on the Cars.com. I email the dealer, Sheehy Subaru, on Wednesday and set up an appointment for Saturday to come see the car. Friday I got a call from someone at Sheehy asking what they need to do to make this deal happen. I spoke with the person and told them I had an appointment tomorrow and hoped that we could work something out. I was a little late for the appointment and someone from the dealership call me and asked if I was coming. I told them I was about 10 minute away to which they said we will see you when you get here. I got there and the sale person told me that the car had been sent to Richmond, VA on Friday. This sale person was the person who had originally reply to my original email and the only contact name that I had. He then went into a long explanation about the online system and how they are not always connected to the salesperson on the floor, non of which I really cared about. He told me he could get the car back from Richmond, VA but that he didn't know if he could sell it to me for the price that they had listed it at on the Cars.com web site because the dealership in Richmond now owned the car and they where selling it for $2000.00 more the what the this Sheehy dealership had listed it at. He told me that he would see if he could work something out with the Richmond dealer since there had been this mix up and that he would call me either way. Well I guess he couldn't work it out because he did not call me. Needless to say I didn't get the car and I am not sure now how I feel about Cars.com.

The great thing about Sheehy Suburau was that when we contacted them about getting an Outback, they didn't try sales gimmicks to lure us into the showroom. All the other dealers said, "Come in and we can get you a deal." Yeah, right. But only Sheehy was willing to talk price online and on the phone (very quick conversations that got to the point). I live closer to many other Subaru dealers but Sheehy had the best price AND the best attitude. They didn't have the car we wanted in stock but were able to get it within days. The salesman Chris La Porte was great, too. No BS. Best experience buying a car we've had in decades.

Have you ever gone to a car dealership and find a salesman, or better yet, be found by a salesman that you get a feeling you have known each other for years? Well, that is Chris La Porte. He has some kind of friendly charm and charisma that makes you feel like talking to an old friend. Honest, on your face, he lets you know that he will find what you want it does not matter what. No pressures, no push sales, just honest sales pitch. I don't think I have ever felt so at ease in buying a "hard to find car". Can you imagine, we walked in looking for a manual transmission premium Outback. We don't know how he found it but he did! This is how it went; we went to Sheehy Subaru on Memorial Day but the dealer had just closed. We looked around to see all the great Subarus they had on the lot. There was this guy putting together some plates on a car and at a distance just called to us and told us, did not ask us, told us to buy a car. We said yes. We talked for about ten minutes, exchanged numbers and a few days later we returned to the dealer to figure out about our initial "crazy" inquiry. Well, well, there he was, busy with a bunch of customers and a big smile looking at us saying, "I got it". The rest is just history. We got an awesome brand new Outback, manual transmission and a bunch of extras too many to mention. Ah, and at a great price.

Best new car buying experience I have had. Mr. LaPorte asked several basic questions to determine my requirements and identified several cars with varying equipment packages available. We drove one of the cars available, made a decision to buy and when we returned the car, had several other cars (colors and equipment packages to choose from. Agreeing on price was straight forward, completing the paperwork was fast and efficient and the car was prepped by the time we were done with the paperwork .Mr. LaPorte knew the car and the features well and completed the car set up in a timely manner. All in all a super experience.

Honestly I can not believe the experience I had. We came in to buy a car and thought all was well. We left the dealership with a car but not all of its parts. One of the keys was missing. We were told by Chris the key should surface within a day or two and he would call to let us know and have someone bring it to us. Two days passed with no response. We ended up calling him and left several messages for him about our key. Finally he called back to let us know they couldn't find it and that he would have to order us a new key. He told us it would arrive on Monday because he was overnighting the key. Chris was very apologetic and then told us he would also give us a gift for all the trouble and was told he would call first thing Monday. On Monday we didnt hear from him at all and so we ended up calling him in the afternoon/evening. No response so we emailed him and finally he called to let us know he put in the order for the key to late on Monday so we wouldn't get the key til Tuesday Morning. We told him we would come and pick it up on Tuesday morning after 10am. The following day we came in to collect the key and he told us only part of the key came in and he wouldn't have the other part til Wednesday. Chris assured us he would have someone come to our home to pick up the car and take it back to the dealership to fix and bring back. Chris told us he would call before he sends someone over to collect the car. Wednesday came and he never called us and then around 2pm a sweet guy named Aaron came to pick up the car but no one was available because Chris never called to let us know someone was coming. After sorting things out Aaron took the car and then promptly brought it back to us. When he did we noticed there was a ding on the side of the car and scratches that looked as though someone hit a white car(our car was Dark Gray). So Aaron took pictures and was very professional and called to let the dealership know that whomever fixed the key problem in our car scratched and dented the car as well as left foot scuff marks on the interior of the door. Aaron then gave us options and put us at ease that these problems would be fixed in a timely manner and he would personally contact us when the car would be ready. Aaron took our brand new car and left us with a temp car. Honestly if it wasn't for Aaron we would be so fed up. You expect when you buy a new car for it to come with all the pieces and then when its out of your control and you lose a key you make sure you get a replacement in a timely manner and give the buyer updates to put them at ease without us having to hunt him down for bits of information. Chris never called when he said he would and we wouldn't be as mad as we are if he just kept his word and did everything in his power to stay on top of things.We felt like after he got his sale he took his time trying to fix the problems we were having. That's now how you treat new customers and I think twice before buying another car from them anytime soon. We have a Buick Enclave, Hyundai, Honda CRV, Honda accord, and have had several cars in the past and will probably go on buying several more cars in the near future but we will think twice before coming back and recommending this place to our friends and family. If Aaron can give us such great customer service and the actual dealer couldn't its only fair to give Aaron a raise or something to show how much people value GREAT customer service and we would feel more confident buying a car from Aaron, then we would others. I hope you don't lose such a valuable asset.

I want to describe the excellent buying experience my wife and I had with Chris La Porte at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield recently. We had decided to visit this dealership to test drive the 2014 Forrester and Outback. We went there without an appointment. Upon arrival, we were acknowledged by Chris, who at the time was finishing a matter with another person. After a couple of minutes, he introduced himself and asked how he can help us. Once hearing about our wish to test drive the two models, he immediately set us up with the Forrester, gave us the key, and we were off on a 20 minute test drive. When we got back, he had the Outback waiting for us, and once again we were off on a repeat of our test drive route. When we got back, we talked about what my wife and I wished to consider (i.e., the Outback), and we asked for several quotes on different packages. Chris was very helpful in pointing out the differences and offering what he thought would be very useful to us to consider in our new car. Once we got the quotes, we set up a follow-on meeting later that week. During that session, we stated that we wanted the 2014 Outback Premium model. We also insisted that it must have the backup camera system. We then talked about the trade-in of my car. We had a very professional negotiation, with each side reaching a final walk-out-the-door price, shaking hands to complete the deal. Since the model that we were going to buy did not have the camera system, Chris made arrangements to have it installed for pick-up the next day. He provided a loaner Outback to help us with our travel needs. During this whole process, Chris was very professional -- he never attempted a "hard-sell" technique which is common in most dealerships. Chris called the next day to inform us that the car was ready for our pick-up, as well as the paperwork. This process was most pleasant, and my wife and I were on our way with our new Subaru. Without any reservations, I most heartedly recommend Chris La Porte to anyone considering purchasing a Sheehy Subaru.

My husband recently leased a new 2014 XV Crosstrek from Sheehy and Chris La Porte. Low and behold a month later I was there and Chris was working his magic again. Found me a new 2015 Forester in the color and options that I wanted (the moonroof was an added bonus) for the price I wanted. No hassles, no bickering simply put Chris is a man of his word. He had us in and out in under 2 hours on a Friday night. It has taken me a few weeks to get my review up because I have been out enjoying my new Forester. I'd been to 2 other Subaru dealerships, both of which weren't interested in showing me the Forester, they diverted me to looking at Outbacks. I stumbled upon Sheehy Subaru (didn't even know it existed!) and walked in and asked to see the Forester. Not only did Chris show me the Forester that was perfect for me, he found one on a truck somewhere and had it diverted to his dealership so I could look at it. There was no hard sell, no "what can I do to get you in this car this instant" sales pitch like you get from other dealers. I was allowed to go home and do more research, talk it over, look at numbers, etc. I ultimately decided that I wanted the Forester Chris had coming and from there it was easy! As soon as my car was unloaded from the truck, he texted me a picture of it! :-) Chris even went the extra mile in sending one of his guys down to my house to pick me up the day I purchased the car (I didn't have a trade in so had a logistical problem getting to the dealer to get the car!). I would highly recommend Sheehy and Chris to anyone!

We came to the dealer having identified online the particular vehicle we wanted to purchase and the price we wanted to pay. Because of that, we ended up spending little time with our salesperson. During that time (a little more than the duration of a short test drive), though, he was friendly and accommodating.We spent another couple hours in the finance office with Branden, who was friendly, thorough, and accommodating to our careful questions and considerations.Following our initial visit, we did run into a couple of hiccups, however. In the finance office we had mentioned that we wanted all-weather mats and a cargo tray, which Branden added on the computer while we were there in the office. He said they would check to see if they were in stock, and, if not, he would make sure they were sent to us. There was also apparently a system glitch that prevented us leaving with our permanent tags, so we left with temporary tags and the promise that they would be mailed to us as well.Ten days passed and we hadn't heard about the mats or tags. (We were particularly worried because we had recently seen some mail go missing.) I called the dealership about the status of both. I found out the tags weren't yet ready (but at least hadn't been lost in the mail, thankfully). I also spoke with the parts manager who was unable to find a WE OWE for the mats and tray, but he said he would look into it. That being the case, I figured I would look over my copies of the transaction documents. I didn't see a WE OWE, either, nor did I find any explicit mention of the mats or tray. What I did find, though, was a $199.59 difference between the total purchase amount on the dealer's record and the amount financed as indicated on our lender documentation. I wrote to Branden asking about the discrepancy. He chalked it up to a computer glitch and said the mats and tray would be taken care of at no additional cost to us.A couple of days later I received an e-mail to schedule a service visit to get the mats and tray, which I picked up a few days later. (The dealership is not particularly close to home or work, so I would have preferred to have had them sent, but I failed to ask for that in lieu of the service appointment.) The service slip I left with indicated that the prices of the items were withheld. I was hoping that the purchase price of the mats and tray was identical to the discrepancy, for which I am still without full documentation.Anyway, during my initial phone call asking about the tags, the woman I spoke with said that they would call before they mailed the tags. A month went by and the temporary tags were a few days expired, and we had yet to hear from or receive anything from the dealership. So I called to ask about their status. The woman I spoke to said that they were ready to be picked up. I requested that they be mailed to me, and she said they would. Another ten days passed (temp tags now two weeks expired) and we still hadn't seen them, so I called the dealership again. The woman I spoke to this time said she had sent them a couple of days before, and had explained that there had been some mix-up that prevented them being sent sooner, for which she apologized. The tags arrived shortly thereafter. *Phew!*Overall, we have been happy with the purchase. We are generally content to chalk up the snags to a series of chance boo boos.$199.96 seems a fair price to pay for the additional items, however, I am still uncomfortable not having a full explanation or documentation for the financial discrepancy.

After driving my old Toyota Corolla for twelve years, it was time to purchase a new, equally reliable car. I knew I wanted to look at Subarus due to their excellent longevity record. Chris was able to grab an in-transit 2015 model and have it equipped to my specifications en route. I live in the Atlanta, GA area and have been looking for a manual Forester for over a year. The local dealers are reasonably nice but are not very eager to make (in my opinion) a fair deal. So, I performed a regional search on Autotrader.com and found a few cars (mostly new) that met my criteria. Most were over 500 miles away which would be OK if the deal was fair. For each car, I requested the "ePrice". While I received replies from all dealerships, the only reply which I received which seemed to come from someone who was genuinely interested in making a fair deal was from Chris La Porte at Sheehy Subaru. It only took a couple of email exchanges and 1 phone call to come to an agreed upon price. The deal also included a more than fair offer for my trade. Chris was extremely transparent with all the numbers which I very much appreciated. He made the almost seem "too easy" but I decided to give it a shot nonetheless. I half expected that I'd drive over 600 miles and find out that the deal had changed or there were some hidden fees... NOPE! None at all. The deal we negotiated over email and the phone was the deal - period! I've purchased over 20 personal use cars in my life and feel like I've earned the right to be skeptical and cynical when it comes to making a car deal. I'm happy to report that none of my past negative experiences manifested in my dealing with Chris. He is an honest and courteous person who is truly interested in making a fair deal from the start. No games. No hassles. No tricks. I am a very satisfied client of Chris's and when my wife is ready for a new car, I will not hesitate to buy from Chris again regardless of the distance from my home. Oh, and when people ask me about my new Forester, I tell them all about my experience working with Chris and assure them that it is worth the drive unless, of course, they'd rather get ripped off by making a local purchase. Having bought 16 cars over the last 21 years, I have been through the "purchase" process a "few" times. Out of all of my experiences, working with Chris and Eddie was by far the best. Knowledgeable, great communicators and helped to set all the right expectations and then deliver on all they promised, all with a great attitude. I also appreciate that they treated me really well on my trade-in. My past experiences have been if the sales team is good, then there will be trouble in the Finance Dept. Not the case here at all. Everything was smooth and no games that other places like to play.The day after I bought my BRZ, I was at another dealer and was going to buy a commuter car, but they started playing games and pulling classic "mega" store sales shenanigans, that I ended up walking out. Is it possible that Chris and Eddie have spoiled me so that I am not willing to tolerate other dealers? Perhaps. But that is why I am heading back this weekend to check out a Legacy that I hadn't really considered before. They delivered all the way around.

Didn't consider a Subaru until Consumer Report gave the Forester and Outback rave reviews. Sheehy Subaru of Springfield is different from any other dealership I've bought cars from...an integrated Sales Team/Service Team approach. Most dealerships have the "hand-off" or "Union" concept....Salesman sells the car, Finance nickel & dines you with extra, Service fixes the car. At Sheehy, the Salesman works closely with Sevice (even after the sale) to make sure the customer is happy....and it works at this dealership! The Salesman (Reggie) made sure I was happy with service; Service (Jessi) did a follow up with the salesman to confirm service was complete and customer was satisfied. Wow, what a concept...make sure the customer is happy with every aspect of the Subaru experience! Can't wait until Sheehy Subaru moves to their new Backlick Facility....more room and I'm sure same great sales and service.

My experience working with Eddie Beans and Chris La Porte at Sheehy for my recent vehicle purchase stood out as a uniquely positive experience. I had gone through numerous unsatisfying car shopping/buying experiences over the preceding 9 months before working with Sheehy and all of them were often underwhelming, frustrating, sometimes dubious, and just overall significantly less pleasant. In contrast, Sheehy's prompt, thorough, accurate, highly responsive, and friendly contacts with me (via email and over the phone) as I evaluated and prepared for my purchase was a clear indication of this dealership's solid integrity and customer-focused competencies and those of the Sales team I worked with (Eddie and Chris). Knowing what I wanted going in they didn't waste my time and delivered what they promised at each stage of the vehicle purchase. Even after the purchase, the team remained friendly and attentive to the few remaining vehicle details needing minor attention. I would easily shop here again even though its not the closest Subaru dealer to meit was by far the best staffed.

Being in the military Im always nervous when I PCS to a new location. Im use to dealing with small town dealerships and every experience with a dealerships outside of that have been a disaster. This has been the first time Ive purchased a vehicle in which I wasnt taken for a ride so to speak. The dealership went out of their way to work with me to get my wife into a better car. Previously, I have only bought Volkswagens for my wife, but this has turned me into a loyal Subaru owner. The biggest surprise is how the dealership was able to blow USAA out of the water on a car loan. Now Im making payments on a car that is far cheaper then what I was leasing my wifes GTI for. The overall experience was great, and Im impressed that the sales staffs were so knowledgeable of their cars. Ive gone to numerous dealerships in which I get the blank stare when I start asking questions on a car. Larry didnt miss a beat and knew the cars inside and out. Shows that they have a lot of confidence in the cars they sell. I will defiantly come back when it comes time to get rid of my Jetta and looking forward into getting another Subaru. Cant wait to have a 2015 WRX parked next to my wifes Crosstrek in the garage.

In this day and age of online shopping and Carmax, these two have totally embraced the process of online car buying.I test drove the Forrester and the Outback at my local Subaru dealership in Maryland. After test driving the cars, I decided to put out feelers to all the Subaru dealerships in the area online for the Outback. Although my local dealership gave me a pretty good up-front offer, I wanted to shop it out.I filled out the form on their dealership's website and Eddie and Chris reached out immediately (note that I'm still getting reply's from the other dealerships after a week of filling out their forms). Not only did they put out an offer that met my criteria, they were very good at letting me know that they wanted my business. Answering little questions at 12:30 AM, these guys were dedicated and responsive.At the end, they gave me the best offer without even stepping into the dealership yet! Once I said I was coming in, they had the car and paperwork ready for me and it was the easiest car-buying process I have ever gone through.Highly recommend and just a little nugget that Chris LaPorte is one of the top 5 Subaru salesmen in the country and it shows.

He was friendly, fair and best of all gave me the space and time I needed to think about whether I wanted to make a purchase. I never felt pressured to buy the car. In the end, I walked off the lot with a wonderful used Subaru and I couldn't be happier. The day was great (which I never though I would say about a day spent looking for a car)!

I highly recommend Sheehy Subaru to anyone! It was a relaxed and friendly environment, that made buying a new car pretty stress free. I was really happy that we weren't put under pressure to purchase a vehicle, and the decision felt like it was ours to make. Going in, we knew we wanted a Subaru Forester, and the staff was able to work with us to get a price we could afford. Larry was incredibly helpful with answering any questions that we had regarding the car, and making sure that we understood all the great features that it offered. We really appreciated the time he took with us to go through the manual, explaining the features of the car. Brandon was excellent as well, and was able to get us approved with a great interest rate. He was very thorough with explaining all the options and went through the paperwork precisely and quickly. All in all, we are just thrilled with the experience we had, and will definitely go back for any future Subaru purchase we will make.

I already knew which car I wanted when I called. Brandon answered and told me to come down and we could discuss leasing options. When I did arrive Brandon sat me down and right away we started to go over the numbers for my lease. He explained any confusions I had with leasing and gave me all the different options right there. Compared to the other dealerships where they would make me wait, go away and come back a while later with one quote, Brandon and I played with the numbers again and again. He printed out the quotes I wanted to think about and research, where the other dealers would let me take a picture but not keep them. When I did research these quotes online they were great prices for leasing! I called Brandon back a few days later to go ahead with the lease he told me he could get the specific car I was looking for within two days. Two days later I met Chris at the dealership as it was Brandon's day off. Chris came in early to help me out and was very easy to talk to. I always hear horror stories about lease quotes changing or not available anymore but when I came in with the quote, the price was actually a little cheaper! Chris helped me through the rest of the leasing paperwork and gave me his own personal guarantee in writing of having a car available for me to use when I needed to bring in my car for servicing. That was the only reason I added the service package. I will update this page after each time I bring it in for service but I have a feeling they will follow through with their promises! Great dealership! They get right down to business in an honest and friendly way!

went to Sheehy just to do a test drive as we had already done lots of research on line and by phone. the wife and I browsed their the lot and found something right off the bat that my wife couldn't wait to get behind the wheel of. spoke with a gentleman named chris and we were off. my wife fell in love with the vehicle, the kids loved the dual dvd players with wireless headsets, so now it was my time to figure out all the details and beat the salesman up over prices, services, etc. but to my surprise chris had all the right answers and made sure that we were well taken care of. we ended up driving home with a new outback around 11pm that night. since then we have always gone to Sheehy for our oil changes , tires rotated, etc. and have always been treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. if I were interested in purchasing another car right now I wouldn't hesitate a second to call chris as I know that he will always take care of me.

My wife and I were interested in purchasing a low-priced yet reliable, reputable dealer-sold used vehicle to use as a daily driver to keep the miles down on our other vehicles. We already knew of Sheehy Subaru, as the collision center we operate purchases parts from the dealership and are very satisfied with the wholesale parts side of their operation. As it turns out, the Sheehy Subaru management and salespeople also delivered an outstanding and completely excellent experience! We found two vehicles we were interested in possibly purchasing via the dealer's website, made a five-minute phone call, set up a time the next day to come look at those vehicles and less than an hour after our test drive, we drove one out of their parking lot!From the moment we walked in the door we were impressed: greeted with smiles and friendly handshakes, were given the freedom to take a test drive without a salesperson in the back seat looking over our shoulders and once we got back and were ready to start the purchase process, everyone took a distinctly personal interest in seeing us actually obtain the vehicle for which we had come in. The sales process was low pressure and both my wife and I were completely at ease throughout the purchase, never for a moment feeling concerned about whether we were being asked to make a deal we weren't comfortable with. This may have just been a used, extra car purchase, but when it's time for us to purchase our next NEW car, we have every intention of coming to Sheehy Subaru!

I needed to purchase my first car, and I was contacted by 3 different Subaru dealers in the DC area. Chris La Porte from Sheehy Subaru was the first dealer to reach out to me and we were able to discuss inventory, financing, and options through email and over the phone. Chris was very helpful and informative, and he was able to pull the car to side/reserve it for me since I was not able to come into the dealership for a few days and wanted to see the car before buying it. Chris and Eddie Beans worked to find a great financing rate that even beat my banks rate. When I went into the dealership, Chris had the car pulled to the side and was able to go even lower on the price then I expected. Then Eddie was able to get me a even better financing rate then we had discussed over the phone. The entire process of buying the car took only a few phone calls, emails, and less than 3 hours at the dealership. Overall, I am very happy with the ease and helpfulness I experienced while buying my first car from Sheehy Subaru. The ability to look at the cars on their website and then call and email back and forth with Chris made the process relatively simple, easy, stress free and I love my new 2014 Crosstrek!

When I walked in I was looking at the Forrester as my car of primary interest, but with their attention and interest I expanded my search criteria and test drove a few different cars and models. I ended up settling on the Outback after some deliberate consideration. My shopping experience was unique. My wife, who I wanted to be a part of the car-buying decision process, was 650 miles away. With the help of technology and the Sheehy team, I was able to link to the Sheehy WiFi and "FaceTime" by I-Pad with my wife who toured each car and got the brief from our Sales Rep (Larry) and the Sales Manager (Brandon). The highest compliment I can pay to these fellows is to say that I'd be proud to work with them again. The Sheehy Team is fortunate to have them on the crew there. This was the best car buying experience Ive ever had. I called Chris La Porte up on Monday early in the morning during the snow storm. I told him I needed to get into a car quick and he drove up to Sheehy Subaru and met me in the storm. Got me a great lease deal on a Subaru Xv for my wife. Has to be the funnest test drive Ive had getting to drive the Subaru around out in a snow storm. The Xv is like a little tank in the snow. Chris La Porte and Brandon Stanhope are great guys and very fair to deal with when buying a car. This is the second Subaru I have purchased from them and will most likely be getting another one from the same guys in the next year or so when the 2015 WRX comes out.

I bought a new Subaru Outback from the crew at Sheehy. From the moment I walked in the dealership I was greeted with genuine courtesy and care. All the people I interacted with at Sheehy Subaru were friendly and interested in serving me in the pursuit of the car that best fit my unique needs. When I walked in I was looking at the Forrester as my car of primary interest, but with their attention and interest I expanded my search criteria and test drove a few different cars and models. I ended up settling on the Outback after some deliberate consideration. My shopping experience was unique. My wife, who I wanted to be a part of the car-buying decision process, was 650 miles away. With the help of technology and the Sheehy team, I was able to link to the Sheehy WiFi and "FaceTime" by I-Pad with my wife who toured each car and got the brief from our Sales Rep (Larry) and the Sales Manager (Brandon). The highest compliment I can pay to these fellows is to say that I'd be proud to work with them again. The Sheehy Team is fortunate to have them on the crew there.I would recommend Sheehy Subaru to any of my friends or acquaintances who are in the market for a new Subaru.

In shopping for a Subaru Forester, I was sent e-mails from the dealership with hand-written Out the Door (OTD) prices on the document, which is the buyer's total cost including tags and taxes. After the car arrived and my wife and I visited the dealer, the sales manager did not wish to discuss the OTD amount listed on their e-mail to me, which I showed to him. When I persisted, he said the OTD notations were not theirs, thereby essentially accusing me of fabricating that information on the e-mail. Given that I have the e-mail on my computer, I thought that was both foolish and dishonest on his part, Because the amount on the e-mail is $1000 less than what the sales manager wanted us to pay, I recognize the possibility that the the figure on the e-mail may have been an honest mistake by the salesman. Howerver, rather than addressing the issue of the information they provided me and their possible error, the sales manager essentially accused me of dishonesty. Would you want to do business with someone like that?

Being a resident of NY state, I cant tell you how disappointed I was in my dealing with my local Subaru dealership. That being said, after locating the car of my choice at Sheehy Subaru, Larry, Kim and Teresa made the purchase a reality. Their professionalism, attention, and assertiveness to my car purchase is nothing short of exemplary to the automotive industry. The only shortcoming being roughly 250 miles away from where I reside, I would recommend anyone in my area to the Sheehy auto group. I picked up my 2014 Subaru Outback 3.6 (Special Appearance Package) a few days ago and the experience from initial visit to delivery was perfect. It was great working with Chris La Porte during the sales and delivey process. He is a no-nonsense person who works hard to make a deal happen. I had specific requests for the vehicle...color, options, etc. and Chris was able to get me the car that I wanted and quickly. He also worked with me on the price and trade-in, and was creative in coming up with a bottom line figure that we were both happy with. In addition, Chris was always responsive to my emails, phone calls, and my schedule providing really great service in my opinion. Once at the dealership for delivery and working with Eddie on the financing, everything was in order per the agreement with Chris, i.e. no surprises. So from beginning to end the whole process was fast, painless and fun. Chris is great to work with and I'd recommend him to anyone in the market for a Subaru.

Chris LaPorte is an awesome salesperson. He is a facilitator and was all about helping us find the car WE wanted, not just selling us a car that was in their inventory. Helped us find a vehicle with all the options we were looking for and then worked with us on the price. No pressure at all. He let my wife and me take a test drive BY OURSELVES, no salesperson, for as long as we wanted, in as many different models as we wanted. They gave us a solid trade in value on our old car. Eddie Beans is a great finance manager and arranged all the financing at a lower rate than I could get on my own. I would definitely buy here again.

That being said, I providing a good review because I was impressed by the that fact that at no point during any conversation was I ever asked to provide any contact info. I just picked up my 2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited a few hours ago. I'd have to say that it has been great working with Chris during the sales process. He is a no-nonsense, straight shooter who wants to make a deal and works to make it happen. I had specific requests for the vehicle...color, options and accessories. Chris was able to get me the car that I wanted and didn't try to sell me options or accessories that I didn't want. He also worked with me on the price and was creative in coming up with a bottom line figure that we were both happy with. In addition, Chris was always responsive to my emails and calls and able to accommodate my schedule. In fact, when it came time to go to the dealer ship, and I mentioned I had to coordinate with my wife, Chris offered to send a driver from the dealership to pick me up...really great service in my opinion. Once at the dealership and working with Eddie on the financing, everything was in order per the agreement with Chris...no surprises. The ski rack that I asked to have put on the car was all ready as well...so I was able to drive right out. So from beginning to end the whole process just took 4 days...from the time I put out my quotes on Edmunds to deal close and pick up. Chris is great to work with and I'd recommend him if you are in the market for a Subaru.

Larry did an excellent job finding us a new Subaru in the make, model and color we were looking for. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole process painless. He was also quite good at explaining the car's features and ensuring that we were comfortable with our purchase. I would recommend buying a car from him. I believe he was the person who drove the car several hundred miles to Sheehy in Springfield, so we could pick up the car as soon as possible.

My wife and I needed to trade in our 2011 Outback Sport for a new Forester. It seemed simple enough, so we went the the dealership where we had bought the Outback Sport (a competitor of Sheehy). Over the next two weeks, the dealer jerked us around and refused to provide concrete and final numbers for both the trade-in and the Forester. I made it clear that I had limited time, and no interest in endless bargaining. Finally, out of complete frustration, I emailed Sheehy. Within an hour, Chris called me. And he had a reasonable and final offer for both cars within the next hour. Two days later, we dropped off our old car and picked up our new car. The entire experience was painless. Chris did not pressure us to upgrade or purchase expensive add-ons. In other words, it didn't feel like we were in a car dealership. I plan to highly recommend Chris and the Sheehy dealership to all of my friends.

The experience was the best we have had so far. We purchased an Outback but looked at the Cross Trek, Forester, and a number of Outbacks. No hastle and great patience. We received good prices on both our trades and the Outback we bought. They promptly prepped the car and completed out financing. I needed to purchase my first car, and I was contacted by 3 different Subaru dealers in the DC area. Chris La Porte from Sheehy Subaru was the first dealer to reach out to me and we were able to discuss inventory, financing, and options through email and over the phone. Chris was very helpful and informative, and he was able to pull the car to side/reserve it for me since I was not able to come into the dealership for a few days and wanted to see the car before buying it. Chris and Eddie Beans worked to find a great financing rate that even beat my banks rate. When I went into the dealership, Chris had the car pulled to the side and was able to go even lower on the price then I expected. Then Eddie was able to get me a even better financing rate then we had discussed over the phone. The entire process of buying the car took only a few phone calls, emails, and less than 3 hours at the dealership. Overall, I am very happy with the ease and helpfulness I experienced while buying my first car from Sheehy Subaru. The ability to look at the cars on their website and then call and email back and forth with Chris made the process relatively simple, easy, stress free and I love my new 2014 Crosstrek!

I been in need of a new car for about 6 month, my 2002 Honda was costing more money to maintain then it was worth. I been a Toyota and Honda person but a coworker purchased a Subaru and opened my eyes to Subaru. I felt like this dealership wasnt as pushy as most and Chris La Port was not creepy. I liked dealing with him and the manger there was friendly and not pushy. I actually had to ask about going up a trim bc I had originally given them the trim I wanted and a budget. He is VERY MUCH on top of his game bc I could barley get another Suburu dealership to give me a quote for my trade in. Only thing is Chris could have been a little better about getting my radio stations off my old car but in the end he got them for me.I highly recommend him and love my Subaru.

So on the 30th of December 2013 I tried to buy a car at sheehy Subaru in Springfield.I test drove a car with Reggie Leo all went well.Then Beau Proctor asked me to sign an agreed price form. I said I did not agree to this price. He said he needed my signature to continue with the credit check. After about forty minutes Beau brought me into a room with a financial person and said he would deal with the paper work. I told this gentleman I did not agree to that price and he looked shocked. He went and got Beau Proctor who admitted it was his fault and what could we do to make a deal.I felt like the whole experience was shady and I thought as consumers we did not have to deal with this type of thing anymore.When I called to complain to a manager a Mr. Brandon Stanhope called me back and tried to tell me I did not have the experience I had. He did not want to listen to me.So I feel that Sheehy Subaru has left me no choice but to complain to1.Motor vehicle Dealer Board (mvdb).2.Federal Trade Commission (ftc)3.Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)My only wish to other consumers is please be careful when using this dealer. Be informed of shady dealer tricks and do your research.

This was one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had. I walked in at opening on a Saturday and knew exactly what I wanted, a 2014 Crosstrek Premium. Within 10 minutes I was taking the car over to Barnes & Noble for my wife to test drive. She loved it and still loves it. We took it on a trip to Indiana for Christmas break and it performed magnificently. Chris was excellent and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions honestly and provided exactly the car we wanted. After bringing my trade-in back in the afternoon, I completed the final vehicle selection and purchase in less than 2 hours. I called Chris on December 31 about purchasing a new Outback. I knew what I wanted, having done my research and already been on two test drives. Chris gave me several options and repeated that he did not care which option I went with, he wanted me to have the car that best met my needs and budget. When I got to the dealership on January 1, he had the car waiting for me. When we discussed that I was unlikely to keep the car more than two-three years, he suggested I look into leasing as a lower cost option. He disucssed it with the finance officer and we were able to come to an agreement that got me into a new 2014 Outback at a payment with $10 of my 2011 Ford Edge (I wanted out of that vehicle since it handled so poorly due to 2WD and inexpensive tires). He also made sure I knew all of my follow up steps including going to DMV and LOCO for title and personal property tax and to go to __ to get a refund on my extended warrenty on the Edge.The best part for me and my antsy 8 year old son, we were back on the road in our new car in under two hours. I never gotten out of a dealership that quickly! (The second best part was driving effortlessly through the snow on January 3)Thanks Chris!

My husband and I were looking for a new SUV and were very impressed with how easy the process was! We came in, met with Larry, test drove a 2014 Forester, filled out paperwork, went through the financial process with Eddie, traded in my 2003 Ford Focus, walked through the new car and wham! Drove off with our new vehicle all within three hours. I had never purchased a new car before, so going into the process I was pretty intimidated since you typically hear horror stories about slimy car dealers. Happy to say - that thought couldn't have been further from the truth. Larry listened to what we wanted, Eddie informed us of what we could afford - within our means - and both made the process so incredibly easy and smooth. The new car is absolutely amazing, the staff we encountered the entire night were friendly and attentive and at no time did I feel pressured to buy or commit to something I didn't want. We will certainly be going back for future car purchases!

I began working with Ken about a month ago in attempts to decide between the Forrester and the Outback. Ken was incredibly patient and friendly and allowed me to test drive a few vehicles. I told him that I wasn't ready to make a decision that day becuase my husband was not there with me. Within a week of that test drive, my husband and I found a home and had to put a car purchase on hold to avoid any complications with closing. During our negotiations with the home, I received a call from a Sheehy sales manager wondering if I was still interested in purchasing a vehicle. I explained the situation, he provided me with a few alternative option, but I told him I would rather put the car purchase on hold. He was incredibly understanding and thanked me for my time. We closed on our home right before Christmas. I went back to Ken a day or so after Christmas to test drive a few more vehicles and confirmed that the 2014 Outback was the right call for me and my family. Due to my work schedule I had to do a lot of the negotiation over the phone. Ken was so patient and served as a great liaison between me and his manager. On the 28th, I chose a car but did not buy because it was such a busy day at Sheehy and I really wanted to eat dinner (being pregnant makes you hungry). By that point, I was working with Ken and Beau regarding my trade-in and they both understood that I did not want to wait. My husband and I returned on the 29th and bought my car. This was by far the BEST car-buying experience I have ever had. There was no pressure at all. The staff was always nice and Beau worked well with me on our trade-in. I then signed the paperwork with Eddie Beans, who was so nice! He offered a few additional options without pushing (which I did not take) and he was totally okay with that. He congratulated me on the new vehicle and shook my hand. I don't have one negative comment for any of the individuals I worked with (especially Ken since I worked with him most). If you are in the market for a Surbaru, definitely go to the dealer in Springfield (Sheehy) and ask for Ken. You will not be disappointed. P.S. I was not signing paperwork forever either. it was quick and easy...I think we spent more time trying to sync my phone with the car's blue tooth than we did on signing all of the paperwork.

I completed my research on the type of car I wanted, now it was time to find a dealer. Walked into the Subaru of Springfield dealer and the rest was history. I met Eddie and Chris explained to them what I was looking for, Chris found it in a couple of days while Eddie set up my finances. Next thing I know I came in with my Audi, and left happily with my beautiful Twilight Blue Outback with everything I wanted with a bonus of excellent, efficient, super friendly service, and it was completely effortless! Met Ken McAlpine and told him I was interested in test driving the XV Crossotrek and Impreza. Ken was exceptionally friendly and professional. I told him I was looking at cars and getting pricing that will fit my budget. Ken with no pressure talk to me about Subaru and then set me to test drive the Crosstrek. I was pleasantly surprise to be able to test drive the vehicle by myself without a salesman in the car. I was able to test drive the car in the highway and regular traffic which perfect for me to test and feel how the car responded and felt while driven. After my test drive came back and Ken run the numbers and turned it over to his manager Brandon. Again with no pressure, Brandon was friendly and very professional run the numbers again to give me the best deal for the Crosstrek I test drove. Brandon went over the numbers and the different options I had. I took the numbers home and work my budget. Again felt no pressure from either Ken or Brandon. They were very understanding. a few day later I return to the dealer and again Ken and Brandon were exceptional. I test drove the cars again to make my final decision. When I decided on the Crosstrek a sat down with Brandon and run the numbers again. I was very happy with my purchase and the way they work with me to gave a deal that fit my budget while getting most of the things I was looking in a my new car. Can't say enough great things about sheehy subaru. Ken and Brandon were both super friendly, beat every price in the whole northern virginia area, and gave me a great value for my trade in. Ken basically handed me the keys and said go have fun on my test drive solo. Even told me I could take it home to show my wife. I feel like this shows great trust and really allowed me to really give the car a spirited test drive. After we agreed upon the numbers, I told them I had a hockey game to get to in a bit, and everyone from there on out was in super hustle mode to ensure I could make my game with my new subie!! My husband and I went in the dealership today not intending to buy a car. Our sales rep, Chris, was so knowledgeable about the Subaru we were interested in. He is friendly and outgoing, as well as very tolerant of our young child. We never felt pressured and no one was pushy. All of our questions were answered fully with no double talk. Immediately after entering the Subaru area, we were greeted by Larry McGill. He's a friendly man - easy to talk to. One thing I noticed about him was his listening skill: if one of us interrupted him at any point, he immediately stopped talking and went into full listen mode. A nice communications trait for a sales person... He understood our requirements and knew his products. In a short time, we were ready for a test drive. He explained how to work all the unfamiliar items on the car (data screens, for example). When we were undecided about exterior colors, he went out 3 times and brought us cars in different colors of interest. We felt like he was an honest man doing an honest deal. We bought on the same visit, and are happy with the purchase experience.

When we decided on which model we wanted to buy, we met with the sales manager, Beau Proctor. Beau and Rick provided up-front pricing without any of the pressure or sales tactics I'd experienced when purchasing previous cars. We were able to come to an agreement relatively quickly, and Eddie helped us through all of the finance paperwork quickly and without any hassle. Overall, the experience was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and treated us very well. I would definitely recommend Rick, Beau, and Eddie to anyone looking for a stress free car buying experience. Chris was fantastic to work with. My uncle had shopped around dealerships and dealers for weeks and when he found Chris he stopped searching for one main reason: he tells it like it is. Yes, he is in the car selling business, so he will try to sell you a car, but he cares about customer service first and foremost. He truly wants to sell you a car with the options you want and try to get it within your budget. It was nice to work with someone who facilitated an honest and open conversation of cars and options. It made us feel confident about our purchase. So much so, that my uncle and I bought 2 cars from him within the same week. Eddie did the finances (which my accountant husband cared about) and he was great - knowledgable, consist, and comfortable to work with.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new car.

My wife and I had been looking for a car for about a month, after narrowing down our options (brand, possible models) started looking at various Subaru models and decided to investigate the new XV CrossTrek. We searched out a handful of dealers in the Washington, DC area and decided to stop into the Sheehy dealership with the original intent of just test driving a few models. At first we were a little worried since it was a little tricky to find the Subaru portion of the Sheehy dealership (as of Nov 2013 they were kind of tucked behind the massive Ford section), but once we stepped into the showroom we were greeted instantly by Chris and he took great effort to make sure we had every question answered. We test drove a 2014 CrossTrek and fell in love with it instantly. After the test drive Chris was able to procure a car with exactly the options we specified. We asked for a night to think over the deal on the table and left the dealer. The next day we returned and Chris was busy with a few customers so we chatted with Larry for a short time. I made one offer for the CrossTrek that was immediately accepted by Chris and felt that I had been able to use a combination of Edmunds and TrueCar to obtain a great price on a brand new car. We worked with Eddie for about half an hour to sort out the payment and financing and we were on our way. We are really happy with our decision to walk into Sheehy Subaru.

But Chris was very friendly over email, offer me the best price, and was completely honest and fair -- no games! Chris and I were able to work out the price completely over email, which made things easy. So when I came into the dealership there was no pressure. We just took the car for a test drive to make sure it was the right fit. Chris patiently answer any questions I had and then the good folks at Sheehy were able to wrap up the paperwork quickly for us. They even got us financing at a rate as good as our credit union.I would *definitely* buy another car from Chris and I'd go to any dealership he worked at just to be able to enjoy the buying experience. This review may sound a little over-the-top, but I was seriously shocked at how good I felt about the process and plan to recommend Chris to my friends.

My wife and I originally went to look at a used Subaru, got up there and started walking around looking at it. We were both pleasantly surprised no one was coming up to us. So we checked it out and then walked into the sales area and were greeted by Chris. He was a great person to deal with, was personable and listened to what we were looking for and working with what our budget would allow. We were there for a few hours but in the end he worked up a great deal on a new one instead of used that we couldn't pass up. Worst customer service I've had in many years.I had been dealing with the internet guy and had honed in on a model and possible trade- in value.When I went in the internet salesman wasn't in and it took them a long time to find my info.Then they told me there was no one to actually appraise my trade in! I went to Beyer where they were low key ,competent and gave me a good deal And found a better loan than the one I had already arranged.Go to Beyer and don't annoy yourself with these jerks.

Three words: honest, efficient, and professional. Last night I typed "Subaru Dealer" into Google Maps, and tonight I drove home my brand new Subaru WRX from Sheehy Subaru. Thanks to their incredible service, and especially Chris LaPorte. He contacted me right away, took my financials over the phone, and got me an interest rate I couldn't believe. I e-mailed the dealership at 11pm, and at 7am the next morning Chris is calling me and answering all my questions. After the credit application, and the test drive, and the info on the optional packages, I asked Chris, "alright, what's the out-the-door price?" He double-checked, added some numbers, and gave me the priceit was exactly what he quoted me in his very first e-mail. No B.S. fees, no "extras", no surprise charges. Just honest, efficient, and professional.

Larry McGill was great. He's friendly, knowledgable and was patient when faced with my sometimes rude/aggressive companions (next time I buy a car I'm NOT taking my father and husband along). Chris and Brandon were quick to offer a reasonable price for both the new car and my trade in. They had what I wanted in stock so this was an easy process. Went to a couple of local dealerships, but they were not as eager to close the deal. One of the salesmen at another dealership actually pulled out his phone and checked email and text messages while on a test drive. Chris is straightforward and understands the basic tenants of good sales - making the customer happy. Surprisingly great experience at Sheehy Subaru.

I was surprised with how straightforward Larry was. We (my wife and I) really just wanted to check out an Outback, and when we were met by Larry, we said as much. He did not seem taken aback by this, and to my surprise, he found the best example of the Outback on the lot and pulled it up for us. He opened the doors and showed us the features that impressed him. It wasn't really like he was trying to sell us a car, but more like showing off something he was proud of. We got some information from him (pricing, features, etc.) and decided to go home and think about it. We were about to pull off when another associate ran up to us and let us know that the manager would give us $1500 for out trade in if we were interested. When we got home, we looked at some financial stuff and decided to give Larry a call. Larry really helped us make a decision by telling us his experience with Subaru, not by pitching us a car. In the end, we got a car that we wanted, not one the dealer needed to get rid of (in my opinion). I would strongly recommend Sheehy Springfield (especially Larry) to my friends.

Reggie was in fact very knowledgeable about the Subaru products. He showed me several models and went over the options and pricing scenarios.. He and Brandon gave me a good deal on a Premium Subaru XV. Chris helped me locate a car with the exact options that I wanted. That car was at another location (in Baltimore) but Chris managed to get the car to Springfield the next day; they did the state/safety inspections, fueled and washed the car and had it ready to go the next day! I have only dealt with the service department of this dealership, and therefore cannot speak to the merits of the sales dept.I have had several frustrating experiences with this dealership's service department, each of which leading me to believe they are incompetent, and that they do a huge disservice to the Subaru brand. On one occasion, this service dept. failed to repair the diagnosed problem, despite having accurately diagnosed it, and even claiming to have completed the repair. Upon bringing the car back the following day because of the reappearance of the problem, I was told by the mechanic that the repair was simple, and that no one had attempted it the previous day. Despite this frustration, I decided to bring my car back here today for service towards a Subaru issued call (closest to home). I scheduled my appointment, making very sure they knew it was for the recall, and which recall it was concerning. I then called a few days later to confirm how long this recall check would take. Finally, I was given a confirmation phone call the day before my appointment. Despite having communicated with the service department 3 times regarding the recall, it wasn't until I arrived at the dealership that they informed me they had no supplies to complete the repair for me, and that I'd have to come back another day. This is completely unacceptable. I live 45 minutes from this dealership, and took time out of my work day to arrange this appointment. I have used other Subaru dealerships in the area and have never run into this sort of ridiculousness. I have also spoken with the service departments of those other dealerships, and even they don't respect Sheehy's service department. On one occasion, one service department rep actually referred me to a nonsubaru repair facility, rather than refer me to Sheehy.

Sheehy Subaru of Springfield was an excellent experience for me. I researched cars on line as I was looking for something that would provide me stability, security, and quality price. After deciding on a Subaru, I sent an email to several dealerships. Mr. McGill responded by email quickly; and even though he invited me out for a test drive, allowed me to email questions back and forth to him for a couple of weeks until I was ready to commit to a visit. Upon my visit, I found Mr. McGill to be as polite in person as he was online. In fact, everyone I met at Sheehy was very courteous and helpful. I spent more than an hour on my first visit. Mr. McGill guided me through everything, the exact Subaru I should purchase in my price point and for my needs, the options that would suit my needs best, and the best way to pay for the car. Mr. Montgomery was also as generous with his time as he guided me through all the paperwork and required signatures. And Manager Brandon, I'm sorry I don't know his last name, was nice enough to come by and say congratulations on my purchase and to talk a few minutes. Today, I returned to pick up my car and found Mr. McGill just as generous with his time today as he walked me through all the elements of my car, syncing my phone, loading favorite places in my navigation system, and showing me how to use all the buttons and gadgets. Many of the Subaru staff stopped to congratulate me on my purchase and were very courteous and helpful despite how busy it was. If you want something done, ask a busy person. These words were never more true than when buying a car from Chris LaPorte. Although he seems to be juggling several balls in the air at any given time, he is able to keep his eye on the one that represents you. I ended up at Sheehy Subaru after shopping at several other area dealers where I was not happy with the customer service. Chris La Porte impressed me immediately. After researching new cars on the internet, I ended up choosing to go to Sheehy Subaru first because they had Sunday hours which allowed me to test drive a couple of their cars. I met Mr. La Porte upon walking into the showroom and in spite of me telling him right away that I wasn't going to be buying a car that day and maybe not at all because the repairs from an accident with my previous car were still pending; he spent a good amount of his time with me explaining to the various differences in the cars I was looking at and giving me all kinds of information that I wasn't looking for but would ultimately need in making the final decision to buy a 2014 Forester. While Mr. La Porte kept coming up with various ideas and scenarios to get me into a new car, he wasn't at all pushy and when it came time to make a deal on a car, that is exactly what he did. It is clear from working with Mr. La Porte that he knows the new car sales business very well and most importantly, he treats you with respect.

When I went to pick up my new car, he met me at the subway station so I didn't have to walk to the dealership. When my long-term car had engine trouble, I was obviously distraught. The thought of buying a new car, including haggling over prices and endless test-drives, was distasteful. Though I wanted the process to end quickly, I also wanted to secure a good price for a great car. Enter: Chris LaPorte. From the moment I walked into Sheehy Subaru, he was friendly but not too pushy. Instead, it was clear that he had faith in his product and wanted me to see why. When I wasn't overwhelmed by the first car I drove, Chris quickly found one that captured my attention: the 2014 Forester. It was evident that Chris knew his fleet of cars well and could rattle off features and specs at my request; this was juxtaposed with my experience at most other dealerships, where their salespeople were only passingly familiar with their vehicles. When I expressed interest in the Ford brand, Chris personally took me next door, introduced me to a saleswoman, and helped me decide which Ford would best fit my need. In the end, the Forester and a Mazda CX-5 were left standing, and Chris' genuine love of the Subaru brand helped sway me to purchase his car. While other salespeople insulted rival car manufacturers and their products, Chris' desire to see me purchase the right car for me, even if it wasn't his, made it that much easier to choose Subaru. Yes, the car's quality speaks for itself, but it doesn't hurt to have Chris LaPorte translate.

I purchased my BRZ from Chris and Elei over at Sheehy Subaru. They helped me reserve the vehicle I wanted, and set me up with a price (without the awful $2-$3k market adjustment every other dealer seems to be adding to this model), financing, and gathered all of the information they needed before it was delivered. Once it came in, they gave me a call and had everything ready for me to test drive. The car was already detailed, and only had 8 miles on the odometer. I requested that they not drill the front bumper for a license plate, or attach any dealer stickers or emblems, and they did honor my request. Elei rode with me on the test drive as I wasn't familiar with the area, and he knew some great roads to really get a feel for what the car can do.After the test drive, they offered the standard paint/interior protection, maintenance, and warranty upsells, but were not pushy if declined. Then it was on to Kim in financing to sign the paperwork and I was off!In and out took a little over an hour, which is a lot less time than the 3.5 hours I spent the last time I purchased a new car. Everyone I worked with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru.

I received an email from Larry McGill in response to a USAA pricing inquiry I placed on the website. He was very direct and honest and I really felt he wanted us to be happy with our purchase. He was patient and helpful and really went above and beyond from a customer service perspective. Before I launch into my review, I wanted to share an experience. I was recently in the Sheehy Subaru dealership, some three weeks after the purchase of my new 2013 Subaru Forester Premium, to have a dog gate installed. While I was waiting in the showroom to speak to my sales rep about having the gate installed, I overheard another sales rep congratulating a young couple on their purchase of a new Subaru, which also happened to be a Forester. After pleasentries were exchanged, I overheard this rep telling this young couple to have a safe trip back to North Carolina. And I thought to myself, WOW, this couple came all the way from North Carolina to Virginia, to this particular Subaru dealership to purchase their new car. To me, that speaks volumes about Sheely Subaru! There's got to be good things happening here!And now for my own experience. I saw on the Sheehy Subaru web site, a Forester of my liking. After trading e-mails and phone calls with the dealership, I drove to the dealership to see the car, and that is where I met Chris La Porte. Chris is an up front, no pressure and very patient sales rep. He got me into a new 2013 Subaru Forester Premium with a 5 speed trans at an outstanding price. Also I had a trade-in, a 2009 Forester, to which he got me a fantastic trade-in value. My company has an employee perk where an employee can purchase a new Subaru at dealer cost. After initially working some numbers under this program, Chris excused himself for a moment or two, then came back with a different, and much better deal. He explained to me (and this is where his patience came in) that I could do better (ie. get the car at a lower price) not using my company perk program. Which looking back now is totally amazing, because a provision under this company perk is that the sale of the vehicle is up to dealer discretion. He did not have to sell me this car at a lower price.Should you be considering buying a Subaru, I would strongly recommend you take a look at Sheehy Subaru, and talk to Chris La Porte.

We came to Subaru based on a lot of the review ratings, and left completely satisfied. We dealt with Chris LaPorte, and he was fantastic to work with. To be honest, Chris was human, unlike a lot of the robots we had been forced to deal with at a lot of the other dealerships. He worked within my limits, and gave me more car than I wanted, for less than I was planning to spend. I recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Forster Limited from Chris La Porte, and let me tell you I couldnt be happier! From the get go Chris ensured that my experience from beginning to end was a perfect one. He truly cared more about finding the Subaru that was RIGHT FOR ME and not just trying to sell me a car. Case in point, I really wanted the 2.5X Forster Limited in Dark Grey and the one that was on the lot was not in an acceptable condition. Well I was ready to move on to another dealer in Dulles, when Chris asked me to come inside, give him five min and lets see what he could do; and let me tell you Im so glad that I did! We built my Subaru together with the features that I wanted, located it and she was on the Sheehy Lot the next day. When I went back the next day to inspect the car and take it for a test drive, it was a night and day difference to the other car and Chris had kept his promise to deliver they quality car that I wanted. We had the best experience in the worst of times. 1/31 we had a devastating house fire, everyone and dogs got out, but my wife's way cool 08 Chevy Equinox Sport (dual exhaust, heated seats, yep the boys and I helped her pick it out) did not make it.Chris answered the call and said come on down, you are probably in a rental and need to get her something that is hers, pick one out we'll get everything together.... Well I was skeptical and called some other dealers, they all wanted to know what vin number I was looking for, what option package did I want, questions I did not know the answers to.My wife (Kris) looked at some cars/suvs test drove two, decided on one, we walked around the shop, new ones were in back, found the color we liked. Chris not only made buying the car easy, financing it easy, but it came with real tags and everything - nice.We won't be in our house again for 9-10 months, but when we are bumming, we get in Moms New car, drive around and smile.It was truly the best car buying experience ever. This was by far the very best car buying experience Ive ever had. (This was the 6th new car Ive purchased) I actually had a good time during the whole experience and left with a huge smile on my face. And this is why:My wife and I decided to give Sheehy Subaru a visit because we had a positive experience with Sheehy Ford. Before we left we were undecided on whether or not we were going to buy a Subaru. We loaded up the kids and set off to go look at the Outback. Before we left I gave the dealership a call and Chris La Porte answered the phone and was very helpful with my questions. When we got to the dealership it was cold and windy. Chris met us and showed us a few vehicles and immediately let us test drive a vehicle so we could see if we like it. I dont think I was there for 10 minutes before we were off on a test drive. We fell in love with the Outback and Chris helped us pick out the exact Outback we (I) wanted. Now this is the part where Sheehy Subaru and Chris La Porte separate themselves from the pack. We had a 6 year old and a 3 year old with us. Chris our salesman worked extremely fast giving us a great deal on the Outback we picked out (which I verified on Truecar.com). He knew we wanted a DVD player in the vehicle so he gave us a great price on an aftermarket unit. After the deal was agreed upon, (and again, the most pleasant negotiation Ive been a part of) we moved over to their finance person. She (sorry I dont remember her name) was the nicest person and understood when I told her I didnt want any undercoating or stuff like that. In addition, she worked out an even better financing deal then we thought we would get. Even after the sale, Ive called Chris several times with questions and he has been extremely helpful and seems genuinely excited about us joining the Subaru family.In conclusion, everyone involved worked very fast and were extremely friendly with us the entire time. Our kids were fine the whole time. I would buy from and recommend Sheehy Subaru and Chris La Porte a million times over.I can honestly say I cant think of one negative thing to say about the entire experience.

I had a very good experience buying a new 2013 Outback from Chris La Porte and Brandon Stanhope at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield. I usually dread car shopping because of all the vultures at car dealerships, but this was a pleasant experience. Chris seemed like a real person not a pushy salesman and seems like a nice guy too. It took quite awhile for me to make up my mind about getting an Outback vs Forester and then which color (silly Subaru only offering ivory for the cloth interior for the black Outback - a car marketed for a more rugged lifestyle). My husband and I spent over a week coming back and forth frequently to the dealership for test drives and we were always met with friendly smiles by both Chris and Brandon and no pressuring just plenty of patience. Brandon worked out a decent price with me (I was armed with Internet pricing) and was very professional and friendly throughout negotiating. Even the financing guy was nice too. I was sad to say goodbye to my old Subaru Impreza, but I am very happy with my new Outback and would highly recommend both Chris and Brandon.

Anyone looking for a great car buying experience needs to make sure they visit Sheehy Subaru. I traded in a 2010 Lexus RX350 for a 2013 Outback, and am not only totally impressed and thrilled with my new "Scoobie Doo" (that's what we called them in New England), but also with how easy Chris LaPorte and Brandon Stanhope made the buying process for me. For starters- Chris's high product knowledge made it easy for me to consider the switch to a car brand I had never seriously considered until I happened to come in to the Subaru dealership because I was next door shopping Sheehy Ford. When my husband wasn't able to make it to the dealership with me to test drive, Chris let me take an Outback for as long as I needed so I could drive it to my home for my husband to drive around our neighborhood. When it came to negotiating a price, Brandon was reasonable and respectful- leaving me with the feeling that we both walked away from the deal with a win-win. Finally, they had the exact car that I wanted, so I was able to take delivery that same day- super convenient. After looking at many different car brands and dealerships, it was great to find the knowledgable, professional and non-pushy sales staff at Sheehy, and to get a great car at an awesome price. My wife and I are expecting our first child and were looking to trade in my 2008 BMW 335i for a family car. We identified several needs and wants and began comparing 17 different vehicles at local dealerships in and around the Northern Virginia Area. I initially began requesting quotes online from several dealerships to help shape my thoughts with respect to the cost of a potential car with all the options and accessories my wife and I wanted. Of all the dealerships I requested a quote from, the only one I heard back from was Chris LaPorte at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield. I cannot say exactly how many minutes passed from the time I hit enter to the time I received a phone call from Chris, but it was deffinitely under an hour. Right from the start Chris introduced himself, provided his cell phone number, and offered his services at my convenience. I really appreciated how he asked me, "to give him a chance to earn my business." His approach told me he was customer service oriented and it was not a foregone conclusion I was going to purchase a car from him; he recognized he had to earn that business.My wife and I continued our search by building a spreadsheet of all the vehicles we were interested in and began systematically eliminating ones that did not fit out criteria such as gas mileage to low, not enough passenger or cargo space, the trim required to get to specific needs/wants greatly exceeded our desired price point to the point where we knew no reasonable dealer would come down to etc. After we narrowed our search down to six vehicles, the outback was still on the list, so I gave Chris a courtesy call to let him know my wife and I were coming in to test drive a vehicle. Chris was outside waiting for us upon our arrival. I let him know up front we had no intention of committing to a specific vehicle that day because we were comparing several others. He said no problem, asked a few questions as to our wants, quickly showed us a couple vehicles that matched our criteria and offered a test drive. My wife and I looked at the Crosstrek, the Forrester, and the Outback and test drove two of them. Due to the requirement of leg room because of my height, and the need to fit the baby's carseat, we quickly identified the Outback as a great possibility. After test driving the vehicles, we spoke with Chris for a few minutes, he offered his card (though not necessary because I already had his cell phone number, offered a brochure on the outback and offered his services out our convenience. Chris was neither pushy nor overshadowing; he let the car speak for itself. My wife and I left feeling great about our experience. Over the next few days my wife and I test drove several other vehicles until we were down to two possible choices, one of which was the Outback. The second option, which I will not name, was a nice car, but it felt like a production vehicle even with all its perks. The quality just didn't seem to compare to the outback. That said, my wife and I were willing to accept that if the dealership would have offered a great deal. We gave them the opportunity to do exactly that - it took them two hours to make an offer and another 30 minutes with the finance manager to show me financing options that were far higher than anything being offered at Sheehy. I took a moment to text Chris, told him what vehicle I was looking at, the price the other dealer offered, as well as what they offered as a trade-in for my BMW; his response - I can beat that, call me. I stepped outside, gave him a call, talked a few moments, and then headed over to his dealership. I arrived, once again he was outside waiting for me next to a 2013 2.5i Premium Outback loaded with all our needs, but more importantly, our wants as well. He handed my wife the keys and said, take it out for a test drive - take as long as you would like. My wife and I did just that. We loved it!When I returned and went inside, he sat down and showed me the MSRP and wrote down an offer significantly below that, and offered a trade-in value for my BMW equal to what the previous dealership offered. The difference was less than 10K. Granted I had equity in the BMW, but his offer was more than generous. All things being equal, I contacted the other dealer I visited that morning to give them a fair chance of beating Chris' offer- they said they couldn't do it. The great part of dealings with Chris that day, I didn't deal with a Manager. He made the offer, he negotiated, he made decisions, he expedited the paperwork. From the time I returned from the test drive to the time I left for home less than two hours had passed. From start to finish, Chris was professional, never pushy, very accommodating, willing to work with the buyer to get a great deal. My wife and I ended up with a car that fits our wants and needs, at a great price, with no hassle. No other dealership I visited through this process treated me with as much respect. In the end, Chris really did earn my business.

I have been a Sheehy Ford guy for my last three vehicles but did not care for the new look of the Escape or Explorer, but I really liked the Sheehy customer service and quality of the Ford product. I did look and talked to the Sheehy Subaru team and they have a new convert -- its a great dealership, great sales rep in Chris (no pressure or over shadowing), excellent price ($4,000 below MRSP)outstanding product in the Outback and warrenty -- it was a great experience.

I didn't check his card, and thought I heard Brendan instead of Brandon.)Mr. McCarthy,I can't tell you the last time I had a car buying experience that was easier or more pleasant.My experiences, first with Rick and then with Brandon, have been both friendly and professional, and are what brought me back after using you guys to explore and decide what we car wanted. Rick was helpful and informative in our first encounter a week or so ago, very low key and non-pressuring. When we left, I got his card and told him if a Subaru was our final choice, we'd be back to give him the first shot.He didn't even ask for a phone number or email address to follow up with us, which is unusual from what I have experienced in the past.Once we finalized on the car we wanted, an Outback, I emailed him in the middle of the week to start a dialogue about exactly what was available. I also inquired about the processing fee, because most Md dealers have a much lower fee. He responded that if we came in by Monday to talk about an Outback, it was the end of the quarter and the sales manager would waive the processing fee. We were out of town until Sunday afternoon, and did have a car to trade in, so while I knew what KBB wholesale said about it, I did not know what the appraisal would come in at. I had a range I wanted the final number to be, start to finish.After looking at the Outback, I sat down to talk with Brandon, expecting to have to work to get what I wanted.When he showed me what he'd give me on the trade and adjusted for the processing fee, the final price came in at the bottom of the range I had targeted. Now I could have negotiated and tried to get an even better deal, but I didn't, because I felt that giving me a total price that beat my initial expectations, along with how I had been dealt with during the entire process deserved that.Going back this evening to finish up the paperwork with a smile on my face, which hasn't been typical of car buying experiences I've had in days gone by.

Due to the age of our car, we are regular visitors to the Service Department. So, we have plenty of experience in working with this department. We have been very pleased with the overall service, but have to highlight the extra effort put forth by Steve Campbell. Steve makes it his job to ensure we first, understand the service recommended and second, that we are completely satisfied with that service. With all the service technicians that we have worked with, Steve is by far the one that we look forward to working with and believe he deserves recognition for his outstanding attitude and focus on the customers needs. Steve is the reason we are considering buying our next car from Sheehy.

I rate the customer service bad for Sheehy because after I found problems with my purchase my sales representative and the new car sales manager did not return my voice or electronic mails until I spoke with the general sales manager. The dealership damaged my car in the delivery process, and made it difficult to get a body molding installation and paint repair done at the same time, to save me time. Final installation of molding and paint repair seem satisfactory. Answer to my question to salesman about navigation system maps being up to date on Outback was incorrectly answered and resolution was left to me to contact Subaru of America. The new car sales manager scheduled an appointment with me when he was not scheduled to be in the dealership and left the car salesman to deal with my repair issues when I arrived for the appointment, which he did nicely.I rate my overall experience bad because of Sheehy's deception in internet pricing. While Stohlman and Farrish Subaru dealerships include delivery price in their internet price, Sheehy prices their cars delivered in Indiana and thus its seeming lower price really is not much, if any, lower. Also, over estimated of the cost of license transfer and almost $100 higher undisclosed, until presentation of the price, dealer processing fee add to deceptive sales practices. One must get an out the door price from Sheehy if doing comparison shopping. The car was delivered with a four month old Virginia state inspection that the dealership did update but had me spend an hour of my time in await room while it was accomplished. Sheehy's offer for my trade-in was 75% of Car Max and other two Subaru dealers who matched Car Max. Sheehy made me go to Car Max to get its higher price. All things considered, the price at Stohlman was much better and I would have been a much happier purchaser.I suggest that you make sure that you get a service loaner when leaving car for repair and not an Enterprise rental at Sheehy expense. Enterprise employee was very insistent that I needed collision damage waiver covered by my existing insurance. After she continued to sell me additional services from Enterpise for five minutes after being told I was uninterested and already covered, I walked off the Enterprise lot.For me, poor customer service and deceptive internet pricing and sales practices overcome the friendliness of the sales personnel and the integrity of the service department. I helped an elderly friend purchase a Subaru at Stohlman a month later and was pleased with that entire process.

I am extremely happy Steve is back with you. I had discontinued my service after he left due to very poor customer service. I am glad to see Subaru bring back and extradinary service agent.

My previous vehicle was a Dodge Pickup that I had serviced for about five years at Manassas Dodge where Tom was my service representative until that dealership, along with a lot of others, went out of business. I always got excellent service and advise from that dealership. I bought my Subaru Forrester from another Subaru dealer and included in the sale a 100,000 mile warranty. When I found out that Tom Chess was the Service Manager at Sheehy Subaru I changed my service to Sheehy and bought a lifetime service ontract. It is nice to again be getting excellent service, solid advise and attention to detail. I plan to use this service department as long as I oun my Subaru.

I was charged >$1000 to fix a 'check engine' light that turned on. I should have read the reviews first before I went to Sheehy's Subaru service. Is the economy so bad to rig customers? I definitely won't come back to Sheehy's because they take advantage of customers and they have a very dishonest business.I asked my original dealer (in Charlottesville) how much they would charge for the same service that Sheehy's did to my Subaru. The answer was a significantly lower amount, which confirmed that Sheehy's indeed rigged me. I felt stupid. I should have taken the 3-hr drive to my dealer (in Charlottesville), which has always been honest with me. I learned my lesson.Avoid Sheehy's at all cost!

We bought a 2012 Subaru Forester from Sheehy and had an excellent car buying experience. We knew we wanted the Forester and Larry McGill worked with us to select the right car and specifications. He was extremely informative and pleasant. It was very clear from the outset that they wanted our business yet they were professional and not pushy. We shopped around other Subaru dealers and Sheehy was, by far, the best priced offer (and most flexible in working with us on negotiations). Will definitely visit them the next time we're in the market to but another car.

I had a bad experience with the Subaru service department. There is a lot of detail and I will include some of my frustrations. A part was to be ordered and I was given an appointment. I was told it would take two days to install the part. The day before the appointment I called and spoke to David and asked if I could have a loaner car while mine would be in for service. He stated I can authorize that but I will ask my manager and call you back in two hours. That never happened. I bring my Subaru in on the scheduled day of the appointment. After 5 days of my car sitting in the service department I called the service department on Saturday and was told the part was just ordered and it would be in Monday! I stated that you knew what part was needed several days prior to my appointment. I was told with the holidays that there was a delay. I was told my Subaru would be ready Monday evening. I was phoned at 5PM and was told my car was just about finished and that I can come in for it. I arrived at the Subaru service department 6:15 PM. I saw my car sitting outside. I went inside and David said that since my car was sitting there so long that it is now in the wash bay. I told him it is outside. He went to check and came in and said it would be about a half hour and it will be washed. I said no thanks I will take it dirty. I start my Subaru and begin to drive and the oil light comes on. I immediately go back inside to tell them. They take it inside and I am there another half hour while they check it out. After looking at the poster on the wall about whom/who to contact for service complaints another service person comes up to me, don't remember her name, but she said she is the acting service manager, and stated when was the last time I had my oil changed they can't find it on their records. I stated it was done here when I had the two recalls corrected. We can't find it. I was told that the oil light had to be reset. I went outside with her and I asked for a rag to check my oil level and to see how clean/dirty the oil was. It was clean! What a fiasco. They lost me as a customer. I would never go back there again. The sad thing is that I did write in detail a letter to Sina Mohabat General Manager. I never got a response from him. No letter nor a phone call so much for the poster on the wall...."if you are unhappy with service please contact me Sina Mohabat".

Our experience with this dealership are best described as schizophrenic. Our daughter was very interested in a new 2012 Impreza and Sheehy was the only dealer in the area that had one for a test drive. In addition, USAA buying service works with Sheehy. Part 1: The PurchaseDuring the purchase portion of the relationship the staff was very friendly and helpful. We drove a demo, liked the product, and decided to buy a model off the showroom floor. Paperwork went smoothly and pick up was on time.The first hint of trouble occurred when we picked up the car and discovered that the state inspection had not been done. While normally that would not be an issue, you simply bring the car back and get it done. Unfortunately we live 60 miles from the dealer.The second hint was that the spare key and "dog tag" with the security ID was missing. We were told that it was left "in the shop" during set up. OK, so we will pick it up at the same time we come back for the inspection.Larry McGill, the prime sales person, also stated that we would receive two free tanks of gas plus a set of service coupons. Part 2: The Follow UpArranged with Larry to have the car inspected and retrieve the spare key and "dog tag." Arrived and was directed to David Hughes who was totally clueless as to why I was back. David tried to be helpful, but did not know anything about the spare key or "dog tag", the free gas, or coupons. While the car was being inspected David found the key, but no "dog tag." Instead we received a print out with a code number highlighted and David stated that this was in lieu of the "dog tag" that was missing. As to the free gas and coupons, David had no information.Attempts over the next two weeks via email and voice mail to reach Larry McGill and Scott Beyers (still not sure what he does) went unanswered. Finally reached Larry McGill this evening. And the bottom line ended up being:1. Subaru does not issue "dog tag" ID codes to replace lost/missing keys. Really? Then why did you tell us the "dog tag" was locked in the shop? McGill stated that he never said this. What did I do? Make it up?2. Free gas. Happy to do this if you bring the car back to the dealer. I specifically told McGill that we lived 60 miles from the dealer and that our daughter was in university with the car out of town and therefore, it was impractical to bring the car back. I asked if a gas card might be available. McGill stated he was not sure, but would check. Ring no answer. When asked about this on the last call this evening McGill claimed he never said this. Again, what did I do? Make this up as well?Bottom Line:Great dealership during the sales phase, but follow up customer service leaves much to be desired. Clearly once they have your money no one seems to care.I am reminded why I hate car shopping. Approach with caution.

My brother and I recently purchased a 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i (five door) from Sheehy Subaru in Springfield and we had an excellent experience there. Larry McGill was our salesman and he was very helpful/friendly/sincere, I would definitely recommend anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru to go and look for him personally because he gave us a very good price on the car, well below MSRP :D. The finance department (specifically Drew Arthurton) also gave us a great deal on the extended warranty, we originally weren't going to get it but we were offered an even lower interest rate then previously agreed on so it was worth our while. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Sheehy Subaru, our salesman Larry McGill, and the finance guy we dealt with Drew Arthurton. SUBARU FTW!!!

As others have already mentioned, Larry McGill was great! He was professional, courteous, and most importantly kept his word throughout the entire buying process. We bought the 2012 Impreza at the end of December (when it was finally delivered and available for purchase), which was initially pre-ordered at the beginning of October. Throughout the whole process, there was never any pressure to buy the car unless we were totally satisfied with it. Larry was willing to help and provided excellent customer service. We would highly recommend buying a Subaru from Larry. The pricing was excellent, the buying process was excellent, and Larry was excellent!!!

Andy did a great job in finding the vehicle that I was interested in. I had initially looked at the Outback Sport, but once I began talking to Andy, he made me realize that I could save considerable money by opting for the 2.5i premium instead. Andy was a joy to work with. Very nice, polite, considerate, and quite patient when I couldn't make up my mind. I'd also like to highly recommend Karl Prucker in finance. He was very attentive to our needs, and got me an excellent rate. Also, Dean Schuyler was very friendly as well. Was just as patient as Andy was when it took me a few weeks to decide on a vehicle. I would highly recommend the Sheehy team to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle!

Had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to come and say hi, despite being the only one inside the building. When the guy did come out, he didnt offer to shake my hand, and while I was explaining what I was looking for, he walked away from me. Then when I asked for an extended test drive, he told me there was no way they were going to accomodate that. Not going back. Thanks.

Reginald Leo was friendly and patient. I test drove both the Nissan Rogue and the Subaru. I liked both cars and it came down to the most value for my money. Reginald explained the standard and upgrade options on both cars and left the decision up to me, without influencing me either way. I also truly appreciated Reginald's patience. I decided to purchase the Subaru Premium, a figure was agreed to and Reginald got the approval of his manager. When Reginald returned, I told him that I had changed my mind and decided to purchase the Limited instead. Although this entailed more work and time for him, Reginald did not express annoyance and, instead, quickly and patiently prepared the new paperwork. Drew Arthurton in the Finance Department was also friendly and patient. This being my first vehicle purchase in my name, I had numerous questions. Drew did not express annoyance when answering my questions. He explained all the coverage offered by Subaru and guided me in getting the extended warranty coverage for my needs.All the staff I met at Subaru were extremely friendly, including the representative who explained the different operating features of my new Subaru, including the blue tooth feature. Even though the manual is very comprehensive, the visual explanation was very helpful.All the staff I met at this dealership were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and have, as a matter of fact, recommended this dealership, Reginald Leo and Drew Arthurton to several people.

Worst place I've been to thus far. It feels like you are bothering the services reps once you walk in and the service is slow if the techs even come to work. I stopped in the first time and the service center was closed in the middle of the work day for a meeting that lasted several hours........good business practice. The second time I stopped in on Friday morning and all the techs called in so they couldn't see me until Monday. So I was fooled to come back Monday for an oil change and a rattling in exhaust. Well I'm back because my service engine light came on when I let from here. Came in at 0730 and I'm still waiting for them to reset the warning light which would take autozone 2 minutes, time is 0815. GO to Passport Nissan.

The sales team was very helpful and it was a very low pressure enviroment which made the process much more comfortable. However the only suggestion would be to get more parking for customers but overall very satisfied. When it's time to buy a car again I'll will be going back to Sheehy Subaru.
