I had planned on purchasing a Jetta in 2015, but on 10/16/2014 I decided that my Acura TSX was on it's way out and why wait?! I worked out my numbers a bit before and headed over to Shrewsbury VW. During the drive over I had my personal pep talk, getting myself ready for the typical car buying experience (telling myself I wont budge, either it's these numbers or I walk and come back). From the moment I walked in the door, the dealership just has a sense of ease about it. I was then introduced to my soon to be sales rep Michael Colella. After a brief discussion, we covered my numbers and the 2015 Jetta TDI I was looking at. Long story short, my earlier pep talk was not needed. This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had! (The Jetta is now my 4th car). Michael listened to my needs, covered them with Gino his sales manager and the deal worked out. I left that evening with my new Jetta. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for a Volkswagen!

I wandered in Shrewsbury VW to find out what my options were for trading in my 2012 Jetta for a new 2015 model. As a young single woman I was weary of car dealers and the infamous pressure they put on. To my surprise I wasn't hawked down, I browsed the cars inside and slowly approached a pretty blonde woman in sales to ask for some pictures of the new models and colors. She invited me to sit and discuss what I was looking for and what kind of car I was trading in. I told her I didn't have much time and she assured me she wouldn't keep me. In 45 minutes we had narrowed down, model, price, leasing vs. financing, and test drove 2 models! It was all very casual and reassuring that I was seeing everything I might be interested in. I then left the dealership with some numbers to think about and no pressure. I came back the next evening to purchase the car. It was an easy decision for me because I felt like I knew exactly what I was getting and wasn't lost in the process at all. Gino, the owner personally came out to shake my hand, thank me for my business and say how happy he was to see me back. The financial advisor is very pleasant and understanding of where I needed to be financially. He even helped me learn more about gap insurance and who it benefits. The whole dealership made me feel welcome, and like I could completely handle purchasing a car on my own without being taken advantage of. Needless to say I will come back here when I want my next VW and can be sure they will help me find exactly what I want for the price I can afford.

I can now say from personal experience that all of these reviews I have read of Shrewsbury VW are spot on! I went in to test drive one of their used cars and decided to buy after dealing with Mike. He made the transaction so smooth and painless that it didn't even feel like I was buying a car. He thoroughly answered all my questions and there was no pressure to buy during negotiations. He also went out of his way for me so that I can drive off with my car today. The service and rest of the staff are exceptional (thanks Max for your help online) and I highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for a vehicle. I was in the market for a used car and was stuck on finding a black Honda Accord Coupe. After weeks of getting the run around from several other dealerships, I was relieved to get a call back from Shrewsbury Volkswagon telling me they indeed had one for sale!!! I spoke with Danielle Baldino and set up an appointment to come in. It was refreshing to see a young face greet me and not that typical "car salesman guy". She was super helpful, very friendly and extremely professional. When I came back a week or so later to do the paperwork and to get my car loan approved, the finance manager, David Hoffman, went above and beyond in finding me a loan that would work for me and my budget. I was trying to decide which car I should buy next, and I stopped in at this VW dealer since it was only one of very few that had the car in stock that I wanted to test drive. I had been upfront with the Danielle, the saleswoman, that I am not interested in purchasing a car today, but simply wanted to test drive so I can compare VW to other brands I was considering. Unlike other dealers and salespeople I had dealt with that backed off and didn't want to give me the time of day for a legitimate test-drive (most dealers only let me take the car for a quick 3-4 minute spin, up and down the street), Danielle invested her time and accompanied me on a very enjoyable test drive. She gave me an opportunity to really get to know the car, and not once did she pressure me into leaving a deposit or signing a paper to negotiate a deal that night. I have since decided to purchase a Jetta for myself. I have visted many dealers across many brands the past few weeks and my experience at Shrewsbury VW has been by far the best. So I feel it deserves a positive endorsement, so that others who are considering a new VW will consider buying from Shrewsbury. The only reason I have not come back to Shrewsbury myself to make the purchase is that it is extremely far from where I live, and with my busy work and travel schedule I have not had time to make a trip back to this part of NJ.

I recently exchanged my leased 2010 VW CC for a new model. This is my second vehicle from Shrewsbury Motors over the past 3 years and can honestly say I am very satisfied. The aquisition process is quicker than I've ever experienced with the other 4 car dealers I've dealt with in this area. And they gave me a fair deal on both the new vehicle and the one I exchanged. I've also had 3 years of experience with their service department. These folks make a local luxury dealership I did business with for 6+ yrs look amateur-ish. They are fast, courteous, let you know via automated msg as soon as the car's ready, and return the car cleaned. The aforementioned dealer did none of the above except being courteous. Great experience and a great car.

My experience with Bill atVolkswagen Shrewsbury was great. We weren't bombarded with high pressure sales. Bill was friendly and quick to hook us up with a non-pressured test drive, where he didn't insist on accompanying us, and let us experience the ride non-hassled. Bill was also quick to quote us a great price, where as other dealerships couldn't compete. We walked in on a Sunday, and picked up my FUN Beetle purchase 3 days later. Bill was the right salesman for us, helping me to learn all the gadgets on my new purchase. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BILL if you are looking for a car. It was an overall very pleasant experience made with ease, friendliness, excellent pricing, and non-pressured.

The lease on my Jetta had come to an end, and because of the initial positive experience at the dealership (From lease, service, communication for term of lease) I did not hesitate to give preference to Shrewsbury VW. My new lease started with an informative instant message chat with Bill Hoblitzel. he was responsive to my inquiries online as well as when I dropped by the unannounced dealership. Bill was assisting another couple, but made time to speak with me and schedule an appoint the next day when I had time. I put him through his paces ...requesting information and lease options and Bill was all to happy to research and present each in a friendly and patient manner. rom looking at colors to getting a handshake and the keys Bill moved the process along at breakneck speed! I purchased my Jetta in 2010. The beginning of August 2011 the AC was not working properly, I called the dealership and made an appointment. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Mr. Incarnate. I discussed the problem and Mr. Incarnate assured me that he would not allow the car to leave the lot unless he was satisfied the problem was fixed. He then arranged for a loaner car. A few hours later he called me, stated that he found the problem and ordered the part. He requested that I allow him to keep the car for an additional 2 days so that they could put in the new part and then test it under different conditions to ensure the AC worked properly. Mr. Incarato was true to his word. I picked up my car and the problem was resolved to my greatest satisfaction. It is very refreshing to deal with a company whose employees put the customer first!

I thoroughly enjoy using the service department of Shrewsbury Volkswagen. This place is awesome. The service and sales staff are the reason I keep buying VWs. I am not the easiest person to deal with when it comes to purchasing and servicing a vehicle, but the gang at Shrewsbury VW are so friendly and professional that I always leave happy. When my window broke in the middle of winter, I stopped in and they fixed it straight away. When I wanted to test drive everything on the lot, no problem. When I get the speed notification stuck at 25 mph and can't figure out how to fix it, I just stop by. I've never had a bad experience at Shrewsbury motors!

My first VW was a new 1968 and I have owned/leased Rabbits, Sciroccos, GTIs, Jettas, R32, and currently own a 2011 Golf TDI and lease a 2010 Wolfsburg Jetta from Shrewsbury VW. Over the years my VWs have been serviced by dealers from Maine to California. Since 1989, Shrewsbury VW has exclusively serviced my VWs. From regular maintenance to replacing a blown engine in my 1983 Scirocco, I can honestly say that Shrewsbury's commitment to customer service is unmatched from coast to coast. I always got an appointment that fit my schedule and either Brian or Jordan kept me appraised of how they were progressing with servicing my VW. Thanks guys!I also want to thank Mike Colella who helped with leasing the Wolfsburg Jetta for my daughter. As a woman, negotiating with car dealers is not the most pleasant experience, but the Shrewsbury dealership has always treated me with respect (I've used them for my past four lease deals). On every lease, they consistently helped me get the exact car I wanted and also worked out reasonable financing. From the time we went in to the time we left I was actually smiling the whole time. The last dealership I bought a car from left such a bad impression I was so stressed expecting the worse. My experience started with Bill Hoblitzell sales consultant I emailed him just to see what they had. He emailed me back I didnt have to do the phone call which was great. I went in that night to look,Dennis Kelly was there and helped us with the car questions because Bill was busy with another client. I said I hope no one gets mad that I was supposed to talk to one and not the other but Dennis and Bill both assured me they do work as a team its not like that in there. I was thrilled. I felt a lot less stress. Bill took the time to show us the car and questions we had he answered and even worked up a price with no surprises. I said I would like to sleep on this he was like sure go ahead have a good night!!!! Another shocker to me wow so nice. Well we went in tonight because they gave a us a fantastick deal and the whole night we were talking and laughing and they made me and my family feel sooooo good that I would highly recommend this dealership to any one who is interested in buying Volkswagen. Even a used car. The other dalership I used last year will never get a kind word of mouth from me but Shrewsbury Volkswagen I cant tell enough people. I rate them the highest you can give them.

Just purchased a new 2012 GTI from dealer with Bill H as my sales rep. After contacting via internet I went twice for test drives to check out different. Bill answered all my questions about the different models and never rushed me. Then went for another test drive with wife and bought the car on the third visit.Bill made me feel at ease with absolutely no pressure. Price I received for the GTI was very good as was the value of my trade in. Bill took the time to introduce me to service reps and other people in the dealership. I recently bought a CC here. Unlike many others, the atmosphere here is not pushing. They trusted me and didn't even come with me on the test drive. Nice showroom and the lounge is good. Worked with Bill H. He is a trust worthy guy without losing his control of making a deal. And I didn't feel sales pressure. The finance manager Mike is also a nice person, a breeze to work with. My wife and I were looking for Golf TDI so we called Shrewsbury VW to see if they had a car that we could test drive. I spoke to Bill Hoblitzell and he confirmed that they had one available. We arrived at the dealership and Bill set us up with a test drive. He suggested that we also try the new Jetta TDI. All test drives were done with out the sale person tagging along allowing us to spend as much time with the car as we needed.Although we were not planning on buying that same day, we liked Bill and the sales experience and decided to make an offer on the Golf that we drove. We came to terms and were able to drive it home the same day. Bill took the time to explain all the features and even linked my wife's cell phone.Very pleasant overall, the car was delivered in perfect condition with a full tank of Diesel!

i was browsing for vw's on cars.com found a few i liked after some research and i contacted shrewsbury vw by email and they got right back to me within an hour i spoke to bill hoblitzell on the phone and made an apt to come in to test drive some jetta's and passat's when i arrived at the dealership they had the jetta i inquired about ready for me to test drive they allowed me to test drive the car with no salesmen for along as i needed while i was out test driving the appraised my trade in when i sat down we went over the numbers and it was straight forward no haggling or bs the numbers were right on i had done my homework bill was a great saleman no pressure a pure pleasure to deal with micheal colella was the finance manager another gentelman a pleasure to do business with i was in and out with my cert used 2008 jetta in less then 2hrs thanks shrewsbury vw

Each and every time I call for service on my car the person on the other end of the phone is personable & friendly. They recognize my name and my car and inquire with audible concern as to the reason for my call. I have always gotten the requested service time that is most convenient for me. Upon arrival the men at the service desk are very friendly, recognize me and let me know that the car will be ready as soon as possible. The "break room" is comfortable with coffee and tea available and provides free WIFI as well. Being at the dealership is not like being held hostage, it is an anxiety free visit every time. We purchased the car at this dealership as well and that experience was easy breezy! I love my car and I know that it is in good hands. I trust the dealership and the technicians that "care" for my car.

Got in me in the next day when a check engine light warning came up on the dash. Took care of that issue and a recall along with some needed maintenance. Price was in range I expected and they even took care of getting me home with a free chauffeur service. Definitely recommend these guys. If my husband is unavailable to determine what service my car needs, Brian has always been so helpful in explaining what needs are immediate and which should be planned for the future. As a woman with limited knowledge concerning the mechanics of an automobile, I feel comfortable dealing with him, never feel intimidated and leave with a better understanding of my car. VW of shrewsbury is by far the best dealership i have encountered. I bought my Jetta from VW of Freehold and did not like the way i got treated and switched to Shrewsbury for any services i want to get done. Both Brian(s) were always very helpful and always took very good care of my car and would inform me on other accessories for my jetta. I am very attached to my Jetta and i feel safe when i would bring it to them. When there is a problem they always inform me asap and would take care of the problem without taking very long. The guys in the service department are very respectful and i would most definitely recommend them to anyone who has a VW. Even though i live in manalapan, i don't mind the drive because i get the best customer service and comfort that my car will be taken care of. There are no hidden gimmicks, everything is laid out in front of you before you hand your keys over. I think they are great and now i don't have to worry everytime i have to take a visit to the deealership. Thanks Shrewsbury VW!

From the minute we stepped into the dealership, we were shown such professionalism and courtesy, We weren't really ready to trade in our 2 1/2 year old Jetta, but loved the new Jetta and we were given a great deal. Two weeks after we walked into the dealership to "just look" at the new cars for FUTURE purchase, we picked up our new JETTA! We love it. The service was great, everything was ready for us, the paperwork was ready to go. I took my 2008 Passat in for a transmission problem and they fixed it completely as well as a steering column issue. They treated me with the utmost respect, courtesy and friendliness. I expected that due to the size of the job, I would be without a car for several days. They had it repaired the next day and washed the car for me. these guys are true professionals and I would recommend them to any who ask. I plan on purchasing my next VW from them.

This is one of the ONLY dealerships left that actually treat you with respect and dignity. From the moment you walk in, you are not rushed or hassled. Instead you are asked to look around and even offered snacks and soda making the dealership an "at home atmosphere". Further, this is the THIRD, yes that's correct THIRD time having a more then pleasant experience at a dealership.In addition, Shrewsberry Volkswagen offers a wide variety of cars, not just limited to Volkswagen. This dealership is very step above from other bigger VW dealers (See Freehold VW or Reydel VW).I had purposely tried Shrewsbury VW due to location of how close it is to my job.I had previously dealt and negotiate vehicles with Reydel and Freehold VW. (All were ok transactions but the sales force, tried to sell VWs like they were rare cars or some super luxury car).Having said that, Shrewsbury VW, sales team, is very friendly, open, comes down to the customer level. Works with the customer as much as humanly possible to get you the car you want with extras. Does a walk around with you on delivery day to make sure there are no blemishes in paintwork of the car. If there is, its fixed, same day. Not like other dealers, come back on a different day/week and deny the customer of the damage that was present on delievery day. Shrewsbury VW, fixes the appearance problem, same day. Max Rolerson is very friendly, easy to deal with. No hidden fees. He actually had my paperwork already written and printed out. All I had to do was sign. Was literally at the dealership for 5 mins to sign paperwork, then the next day, spent half hour to go over the car. Smoothest transaction. Also dealt with Max Rolerson via e-mail. This guy is the only VW internet salesperson who is willing to interact with you, answer all your questions, negotiate the car via e-mails. Other VW dealers always tried to say, come on in, we'll discuss the price then or wouldn't return calls or emails.This is partially why Shrewsbury VW earned my business too, is due to Max Rolerson response time. He literally waited 7 weeks for me to make my final decision. I call that very patient salesperson. He even told me which cars he had on the lot and put the sold sign on the car I wanted prior to me stepping foot into dealership a few days later. So this dealer looks small on the outside, but its what counts on the inside, they do have good sales people. I look to recommend people to this dealership. Everyone at this dealership is focused on customer service. No one seems to ignore you while you are inside the dealership. Other VW dealers, could care less you are in their showroom especially on busy days. This dealership has two front desk people and they are very attentive to the customers coming in and out. One more important item. The service department is very interesting, It has glass windows all around, where you are able to see the cars in service, in the service bay. I was suprised by this because usually the customer doesn't get to see their cars openly displayed on service lifts where technicans are working on the car. So in a way, you can spy on your car through these windows while you are talking to your service writer.

I went to this dealership to get my second car from them the first I had bought a few years back was a used Vehicle this time I wanted a brand new one. I ended up leasing a beautiful 2011 Tiguan. The salespeople were extremely helpful in the late hours of the day in, Rich helped me learn how to use all the fancy new features I was getting with this car. He also helped in Syncing my cellphone with the car's blutooth and showing me how to navigate the ipod through the touch screen, even going as far as to help me program navigation destinations into the system! The staff was very helpful in explaining leasing to me in a way I could understand and trying to get me the best deal possible (considering originally I had gone there to see about financing a 2009 Tiguan) they helped me realize that leasing the 2011 actually came out to a much better payment also I received other perks like free oil changes and such. It was a great car buying experience and of course at the end of the lease I'll be returning for either Financing or Leasing another car or SUV in the future.THANKS SHREWSBURY MOTORS!

Very friendly and professional salesmen. They were knowledgeable about there cars and other manufacturers to give me the best choice for me. They gave me a great price and I felt totally comfortable buying a car from them. I love the 2011 Jetta TDI . Hands down the best car for long drives. The car does just as good gas mileage as any hybrid without the extra cost plus the power of the Diesel engine is much better. They gave me a very fair price on my trade. The whole deal was done after work one day. I was able to get home driving my new car and still have time for dinner. Great dealer , great employees.

I bought a pre-certified car at this dealer ship, thinking I have a good reliable car. Well the very next day after I purchased the car it had to go back for repairs and it hasn't stopped. I have the car for 1 1/2 years and it has been in the shop very other month for repairs.This car is a total lemon. Recently I complaint to the manager only to find out that they do not stand behind the cars they sell. Also if you are a women beware, they will really jerk you around. I will never buy a car there nor recomennd them to anyone. A friend told me they bought a car there years ago, which also was a lemon. I should have listened, but thought many years have passed and surely the dealer ship has improved. Wrong. Never buy a car there...total ripp off.

the service i got from the dealer from the beginning since i got the car is been great, i have had a few problems with the car i got but i has been fix immediately, one of the problems i had was with my radiator which started leaking all the fluid but it was fix in a timely manner. the last service i got on my car was the 80,000 mile service. I drop my car the night before and by the next day aroud 11:00 am the car was done. they did an excellent job.

i just bought a carbrio from a different state and a few things were wrong with it. once i was home i brought it to shrewsbury motors and they fixed everything that i knew was wrong with it. they also made me aware of other problems i had with the car. they ordered the parts for me and withing a week they were in and they fixed everything else. i will NEVER go to another dealership for my car problems. the people over at shreswbury motors are top notch and good quality people and they stand behind their work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ALL OF YOUR NEEDS! they know what the people want and they give it to them.

Out of the several VW Dealers in the area that I had brought my car to, they were the best by far. Other service were trying to sell me a job that I found out at Shrewsbury was covered under warranty. They not only fixed it for free, but they fixed it properly. They were friendly, courteous, and very helpful when I brought my car in for service.I would strongly recomend having your VW serviced by these guys.

Outstanding Service Department. Friendly, curteous and knowledgeable Service Advisors. Excellent mechanic(s). I have had Tony B. as my mechanic and have no complaints, only compliments, on his knowledge of VWs and the excellent results when I bring my Passat in for service. I also use Bill for maintenance. The Service Advisors and their Manager, Anthony, are the other reason I return to Shrewsbury Motors. Keep up the good work!

Was looking for a new car but didn't want to spend too much. I worked with the salesman Vic (last name escapes me) and the finance manager to get a demo Passat at a much cheaper price. This car was immaculate and to this day I haven't had any issues with it. The dealership was able to meet my expectations and was willing to work with me to put me in the type of car I wanted for a very reasonable price. I was in the market for a new minivan & heard wonderful things about the Routan. I went into a couple of dealerships & Shrewsbury was the best in all areas! They were very helpful & knowledgeable with any & all questions I had about the Routan. Rich took the extra steps to make sure i knew how to work all the features the Routan offered. The finance director Orlando was great with helping me get my payments where I needed them to be. My experience there was wonderful & I plan to continue to deal with them for future leases/purchases. I highly recommend Shrewsbury! I can't say enough of good things!

The guys at this dealership are extremely friendly and helpful. They will cater to your every need and will make sure what you want is done and done on time. I'm on my second volkswagen car, not only because I love the cars so much but also because the customer service you get at this dealership is awesome. They explain what needs to be done to your car and how much it's going to cost before doing any work to it to assure that you are okay with everything and understand everything as well. I don't trust a lot of people with my car, but them I do. They are great and I wouldn't recommend anyone BUT them. :)

My fiance had been searching for a used car for months and given our tiny budget we were having difficulty finding something in our price range. Desperate, we showed up at Shrewsbury Motors expecting to leave the same way we walked in, frustrated and without a car. However, right off the bat we were told that they would do their best to put us in a car that we could afford and that was reliable and something about the salesman there made me feel confident that they could deliver. Fortunately for us, a used Saturn was present on the lot that day that was close to what we could afford and after the salesman worked with us a bit on the price we were able to come up with a number that made both parties comfortable. My fiance and I couldn't take the car home that day so we came in ready for the purchase a couple of days later or at least so we thought. Being that this was the first car either of us had purchased without one of our parents present we were a little clueless as to what we were supposed to have prepared. The salesman was very patient with us and didn't seem the least bit annoyed when we had to call our insurance company in order to add the car to the policy. We also didn't realize that a cashier's check would have been the ideal way to pay for the vehicle but again our salesman was patient and helped us with that situation as well. I would recommend Shrewsbury Motors to anyone who is wants to buy a car. At Shrewsbury Motors you will not have to deal with pushy salesmen trying to up-sell. I have already recommended Shrewsbury Motors to 4 of my friends/family and each one of them has walked out of the dealership with a car (new and used) and happy.

GREAT DEALERSHIP!!! This is my third car and I am very happy with all the service provided by them. Repairs are usually done within a day unless they need to order a part. Scott in the service department is a staple of the dealership ;). Oh... Max in sales was really helpful and went above and beyond. They have lots of cars to choose from. When I first looked for a car I was going to check out a honda dealership first... glad I didn't because I think you get so much more out of a VW.

They were helpful with price negotiations and offered a fair trade in value on my Altima. I periodically go back for routine service needs and have had no major problems.
