Drove in from out of town and spoke with a very pleasant sales rep. They had an advertised lease which had a very specific price and description. It mentions a federal benefit rolled into the cost. It mentions a state benefit for the customer but omits that the state benefit is also rolled into the lease.

This place is amazing, no cheesy sales pitch, no pushy high pressure tactics . . . we truly felt like we were just sitting around chatting about cars with a friend . . .one who happens to know a lot about VW's.Dave was informative, answered all of my questions, provided a ton of information about the car I was interested in, all while being friendly, not overbearing at all, not pushy, no gimmicks . . .excitement aside, I did not even feel like I was purchasing a car. When it came to price, I said the price I wanted which was a good price, well discounted . . . we filled out paperwork. I went to lunch, Speedcraft went to work; my car was insured, had a temp plate, and it was detailed and ready to go!I think we met almost all of their employees, They were all extremely easy to speak with, we shared stories and had a few laughs with all of them. You will find Speedcraft to be professional, but not uptight or stuffy, they are all extremely personable and genuine. Speedcraft is just an all around comfortable environment with an amazing team of employees who know their VW's and their business, but haven't forgotten how to treat people.Also, after purchasing the car they go about getting everything set up with you, from your first service appt., to helping you set your radio stations in the car. They went through all of it, and what a relief, I have been driving a jeep with minimal bells and whistles, I would have been lost had they not taken the time to be thorough. Despite being thorough, I was out of there and on the road driving my new car in record speed. If you are looking for a new VW or a used car, I highly recommend you start and finish there.This is the 3rd VW dealership I have been to in the area, they are worlds above the other 2, no comparison, I am so glad I did not settle at the others.

Purchased a 2016 Passat from Speedcraft this weekend. My sales associate was Craig Newton and along with everyone else at Speedcraft, the experience was flawless. I purchased a car from Speedcraft previously and that experience, like this one, to a person, everyone I dealt with made sure that they did everything possible to make sure I was satisfied with the car. The purchase took less time than I anticipated because ALL of the paperwork was completed and ready for review and signature prior to my arrival. I was treated decently and would highly recommend Craig and the rest of the Speedcraft team to anyone who is in the market for a Volkswagen.

went in for service mark was the one that helped me with my 06 golf tdi bottom part of my bumper broke on drivers side I left the car over night with them picked it up the next day not only did they not charge me any money they also washed my car service like this they could have charged me I have a connecticut, plate and would recommend this service at the this dealer I wish I could give 6 stars thanks !!!! mark

We have bought vehicles from Speedcraft over the years. I'll start by saying that we really want them to succeed, it is great to have an independent dealer in our home town. I will say that buying cars from Speedcraft is a good experience. Our salesperson, Craig, is a knowledgeable professional who does a good job. We will buy from him again. The service department misses a lot of details and last time I called, they added service that was not recommended by VW and the result was that I paid too much, almost double for what was required. The parts department does not even answer the phone. I bought the parts online instead, even though I wanted OEM. Too bad, I would really prefer to use the local guy but this is ridiculous. Also, one time I went in for service, had a bad experience and as I left, the guy told me how to answer the follow-up survey with all 10s so they could keep their rating.

I brought my 2015 Passat TDI in for it's first 10,000 mile service, since this is where I purchased it from. A day after I got home the service light for the Ad Blue light came on saying I could only drive approx another 1,000 miles and then the car will NOT start! This was supposed to be part of the 10,000 mile service as you need the additive approximately every 10k miles. Worst part the GM wanted to make it right but never got back to me. Then they call wanting a perfect 10 for my service experience. I gave them a 2... Not going back!

Horrible repair to scratches on my brand new car (scratches were there when I bought it), managed to damage my rear bumper while in their possession, when it was time to pick up the car after the second try at making it right there were new scratches all over. On the third try when I expressed my frustration a very rude and pushy service employee told us we had to leave and even put his hands on my girlfriend. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with these animals.

I purchased my new beetle online from Arizona. Speedcraft Volkswagen did an amazing job helping me from the first contact online to the delivery across country to AZ. I have never purchased a vehicle from a website let alone across country without ever test driving it. I got an immediate response online to my question regarding availability of the vehicle. Richard contacted me right away over the phone with my permission. He assisted me with all my questions and even had Marc, a manager, get involved to ease my anticipation & hesitation. They walked me through the entire process as well as setting up the transportation company to get the Beetle delivered to me. It was the easiest experience I have ever had whan purchasing a vehicle. Marc even sent me a video of my new car just before the transporter came to pick it up. I felt like Marc was a very close friend selling me his favorite car. He gave me daily updates via email until I took possession of the car from the transporter. He even called me to see how it arrived and if I loved it as much as I love the pictures from their website. I highly recommend introducing yourself to Marc Ethier and Richard Carr when you stop by! Thanks guys! I love my new Yellow & Black convertible Beetle!!!

We have purchased a few cars through the years and have had both good and bad experiences. We never intended on buying another car that day but as it turns out we were glad we did. The entire process from start to finish was as pleasant a car buying experience as you could expect to have. We felt no pressure from the salesman or anyone else, and the haggle over price or trade in was very minimal. When we got there for the dreaded paperwork part and to pick up the car, we were kept there less than an hour and that includes the salesman showing us how to use the new features on the car. If you want a pleasant car buying experience, I suggest you go to Speedcraft Volkeswagon and ask for Craig, he'll treat you right!

Leased a 2015 VW Touareg TDI LUX . I found the auto on line at Speedcraft VW in Wakefield RI.My wife and I drove from LI New York to pickup the car. Salesman Rich Lawrence was very helpful and knowledgeable . The process went very smoothly. Finance Manager Justin Blier got my wife and I in and out painlessly. Their Sales Manager Marc Ethier held the deal together,a real pro. I was able to negotiate an excellent price and terms that was good for me, as well as the dealership. Saw the car we were looking for on cars.com and saw that it as at a really good price with less miles compared to all the others that we saw out there. Went to another Dealership to Test drive another Tiguan that was listed at the same price but had 20k miles more and a year older, we figured it was closer to see how much they would come down in price, but no where far enough so went took a drive down on the weekend to Speedcraft. The car was the color my wife wanted, the miles were low and the people at the dealership were great. They made everything easy for use to purchase from them. If you see online they have what you need, take a drive it will be worth it.

I bought my Eos from Speedcraft in 2008 and have had it serviced there ever since. They have handled routine maintenance - oil change, tire pressure and rotation -- beautifully and reasonably. A year ago I also asked them to handle a major repair after I tangled with an object in the road. They fixed the flat tire and arranged for repair of the body damage at a fair value as quickly as possible. I definitely am a Speedcraft fan and will have my car serviced only by them as long as I live in Rhode Island.

I was contemplating changing from a Mini Cooper clubman to a VW when I called Speedcraft to inquire about their cars. I had only been up to the vw site once and noticed this egolf. When I asked speedcraft if they had one and learned they did from salesman Craig Newton, I thought if I had time I would drop in to see it. From the time I stepped into their showroom Craig and the sales team were very helpful, not pushy. I knew i was looking for a four door and the thought of saving on gas intrigued me! When I saw and drove the car I was immediately impressed with how smooth the car was on bumpy roads as well as how the car drove. Through several test drives and much contemplation on if this was right for me, Craig maintained an easy going attitude and helped to trouble shoot my questions. Buying an all electric vehicle is quite a big adjustment in thinking how this will all work. Is this right for me? Will I get stuck somewhere? Craig and the rest of the Speedcraft team were helpful with guiding me to the correct people in order to get a charging unit installed in my garage as well as understanding the public charging stations. Thanks for working with me!

Professional, and top notch staff throughout the dealership. Speedcraft made the process very easy, and well worth it to buy a big ticket car (2015 Taureg TDI Lux) across state lines and about 60 miles from home. This dealership is like all the rest. Sweet talking and telling you what you want to hear. I showed my invoice to my financial advisor and he made it clear that I was fool when it came to buying a car. He also made it clear that they weren't looking out for my best intrest and no friends there. Dont fall for the trick of how they make you wait around forever so at the end you will sign everything. Buy a car and not all the crap they feed you. Service department is great. Management, sales and finance are crooks. I will try another dealer next time. Anyone who doubts or questions this review is welcome to look over all my paper work.

I've purchased a number of cars in my life and had my share of horrific experiences as have most folks out there. I am delighted to say that this was not one of them:) I was treated courteously with no pressure but a sincere interest in providing all information possible for any questions I had. I had already done a great deal of research so was prepped with invoice cost of the VW I was interested in as well as trade-in value of my current car. The haggling process was kept to a minimum and I got the deal that I wanted. Because the dealership was a two hour drive away and the weather refused to cooperate (snow after snow event), I couldn't travel to close the deal for several weeks. Speedcraft was more than obliging; travel safety and my welfare seemed to be a genuine concern. Once I made it to the dealership, the transaction couldn't have gone more smoothly. I was in and out within the time I had expected. All in all, an extremely pleasurable ...one might even say, extraordinarily positive... experience.

There's a VW dealer only 10 minutes from my house- where I bought a car in 1999. However, the service, friendliness, accommodations and everything else at Speedcraft in Wakefield are light years beyond what I was getting at the local place. Therefore, I find it no problem to drive 45 minutes (and by the way, I always get the time I want to have my car serviced) when I know the experience is going to be top-notch. It's just a shame other merchants/vendors in the area don't use Speedcraft as a model. There's a reason why they've been in business so long, after all.

I originally went to Speedcraft Volkswagen today to have my Jetta checked, and I ended up getting a new car. I must say that I had the most satisfying experience there. Their service is absolutely top-notch, and people there were all incredibly competent, helpful, and pleasant. My sales person was Carrie Andrade. She was the BEST sales person I have encountered in my life! She was perfect and flawless in every respect I can imagine, although I have a very high standard for sales persons because of my Japanese background. To me, Carrie represents what a car sales person is supposed to be. I will definitely keep going back to her for the future! Also, just about everybody I met there was totally wonderful. My sincere thanks goes to James and Peter as well. I know now why they get the highest reviews in Rhode Island. They truly deserve it!

We drove up to Speedcraft so that we could gather as much information as we could on this brand of vehicle. The dealer staff was great. They explained all the programs and incentives that Volkswagon had to offer and were forthright in all their responses. There was no high pressure, no hype, and no tall tales given. They just wanted to make sure that we had all the facts about what Volkswagon and Speedcraft could offer us in a new vehicle. After talking about new cars for a bit they suggested a loaner vehicle. It wasn't about selling a new car and pushing it off the lot. They just wanted us to be happy with the purchase of a Volkswagon. We actually ended up buying the loaner vehicle. The Dealer who really helped us with our decision and made it the most enjoyable experience was Carrie Andrade. She got us the price we wanted and the vehicle we wanted. I have been to many dealerships over the years buying new cars and have never had such an honest, personable experience as I had with Carrie assisting us. What a wonderful car-buying experience! I am from another country and had never bought a new car in the States or in my home country. Naturally, I was a little sad and nervous when I knew it was time to leave my old Saab behind and move on to buying a new car. I knew I wanted a VW but wasn't sure which model, so I started doing research online. When my boyfriend and I saw online reviews left by happy customers praising how friendly people are at Speedcraft, we decided to drive 45 mintues to see it for ourselves, even though there are a few other VW dealers that are much closer to Providence. I came home with a new VW SE w/sunroof and nav that afternoon. Biggest birthday present I've ever gotten for myself! The whole experience began with an online request I made to Speedcraft to make an appointment for a test drive. Carrie called within half an hour or so and was extremely helpful and, most importantly, upfont. She told me the internet price I saw, which was very low, was a cash price and I would need to pay more than that if I wanted to take advantage of the 0% APR. I really appreciated her honestly as I did not ask about the price. She made an appointment for me and told me she wouldn't be there on the day I go in but someone will take me. This 'someone', Richard, emailed me very soon after that. I told Richard the model and the colors (ext. and int.) I would like to see. When we got there Saturday, the car was waiting for us. Richard had one of their salespeople, John Flowers, take us as he himself is in charge of the internet part of the business. Although there were so many customers that afternoon Richard ended up having to take a customer and his family for a testdrive too. John Flowers, our guy, is just a wonderful, wonderful person to work with. I drove home a new car that day primarily because of the staff there, and among them, John was the main reason. He was patient and thorough before, during, and after the test drive. He explained everything clearly and patiently answered all my questions, silly or quasi-intelligent. Even my boyfriend, a seasoned American middle-aged car buy himself, thought John was exceptionally clear and sincere. When I decided to buy, I needed to choose between a night blue SE w/sunroof and a slightly more expensive opera red SE w/sunroof and navigation. James, Speedcraft's general manager who is also currently their acting finance guy, gave me two very competitive prices. I ended up getting the red with navigation. When we were waiting for the paperwork, one of the staff on the floor, Luke, came over to chat with us. If you ever go down there, you will see Luke's beautiful and magnificent jade plant sititng in the showroom. We had a good chat about the plant and a nearby restaurant he highly recommended. When the new car was pulling into the front, all cleaned and washed and polished, my boyfriend noticed a couple of very fine lines on the front bumper. They are really very, very fine. John took it seriously and went back into the office. He came back with Luke and the service manager, Howard. After examing the lines and discussing what makes the most sense, we decided that they will work on this when I bring the car back to have my plate put in (it was after hours when this was happening). I was so impressed at how seriously they took this very minor problem. All in all, I highly recommend Speedcraft to anyone who is thinking of getting a VW. I have only had my new Passat for less than 48 hours-and I am loving everything about it-but I am already thinking about going back in a few years so I can have another one of this wonderful buying experience!

Over the years, I have taken my car to Speedcraft for all service, even though I have at least one VW dealer closer to where I live. I was provided with several different models of Jettas to pick from and drive, Tom knew his product inside and out. I drove a gas and a diesel model, my decision was made and the price was good! Next to the General Manager, James Dartt, for the paperwork and pressure, nope, paperwork only, oh and an ADDITIONAL $500.00 savings found by James, even better! Living in Warwick, I live MUCH closer to two "Volume" dealers and this dealership with its small-town feel won over my business. I plan on making the drive to Speedcraft for all of my servicing needs as well; that is how well they treat their customers!

Have never had such a simple and happy car buying experience. Everyone at Speedcraft was down to earth and very straightforward. Richard the internet manager got right back to me after my initial inquiry and followed up with a very reasonable offer the next morning. Carrie Andrade was also meticulous in f/u and completing the transaction. They were extremely honest with no last minute surprises. They even made a mistake in our favor and stood by it. Finally I must also note the James Dart The GM was excellent in every way. He knows his VW's, where the value is, and did not try to oversell us on extras we did not want. This place is a hidden gem and well worth the extra drive. Would definitely buy there again.

I was looking for a new car to purchase and had gone to the Providence Auto Show in January. I followed up with virtual visits to several web sites of cars that appeared to be of interest to me. I checked into the Wakefield Speedcraft VW site and found it very useful and easy to use in terms of my interests - types of cars, prices, photos, etc.. My '99 Jetta is still great and reliable, but wanted to check out some VW's in the event this 14 year old car with 175k miles on it needs to be retired soon. So I test-drove a 2013 Beetle with Carrie Andrade and my son. Carrie was really very nice, helpful, friendly, totally knew all about the car, let me air it out on Route 1. Very good with my 7 year old son too. Easy to ask questions to, and answered everything from the stick-vs-automatic, to the engine specifics, to why the windows re-seal themselves automatically. My wife and I have bought our last 2 cars at Speedcraft too ('99 Jetta purchased used from Speedcraft in 2002, and a '12 Jetta purchased from Speedcraft in late 2011), and the experience was also fantastic. Our next purchase will definitely be with Speedcraft too. Loved the new Beetle, but it was a little too small for my 10-year-old's liking... for me it was a great car and under different circumstances I might have bought it... the Beetle had great energy and quickness, very responsive and smooth, stick shift was easy and the new coupe look is a great re-design. Solid car too, doors have a good weight to them. Definitely would recommend the 2013, and I think Speedcraft still has some in stock.Setting up the test drive was easy. Richard Carr set it up based on my schedule. Test drove immediately with no waiting at all. No pressure to buy either. Carrie again was great to work with.Thanks Speedcraft, see you for our next purchase.

After pricing BMWs, I test drove a new Passat SE on a recommendation of a friend. I was blown away by the value of the car. What you get for the price is unmatched. After test driving it, I couldn't justify spending $10,000 more just to get a BMW emblem. My new Passat has all the options and then some. The interior is sleek and roomy. Great gas mileage. The staff at Speedcraft was their usual excellent selves in helping me purchase the vehicle. I have purchased 5 cars from Speedcraft. This summer I plan on making it 6.

We are a Navy family and move often with a great deal of dealership experience. Speedcraft will go down as the best experience we have had with both sales and service. We originally came to Speedcraft for service for our 2005 VW TDI but this year became new VW owners again not once but twice. VW makes an outstanding product and anyone looking there knows this, but what you can not find at every dealership is good honest professional people. The dealership is less concerned with selling you and more concerned with making you a happy customer. This is a no pressure show room! It is a small dealership that acts like a family and treats you as if you are it's most valued member. They were happy to let us drive as much as we wanted, look a different models, and Joe was the only salesperson to take the time to ask me, "What did we want in a new vehicle?" Great question and it led us back to VW to buy not one but two cars. Both the sales managers are professional and helpful. Luke Whaley in particular helped my husband with the trade and purchase of his car. Both transactions were very positive. Luke also took the time to help me realize what was better for me: a minivan or a wagon and gas or diesel and helped me understand what best met my needs.They will not try to sell you a car and I can not emphasize this enough! In fact I could never really tell for certain which car they thought best for us in their opinion. All they care about is the customers.The service desk is a line up of professional helpful kind people. Carrie at reception is equally lovely.Joe was wonderful to work with and let us take our time and make our choices and in the end this dealership went to PA to get the car I wanted. The price was the fair price for both vehicles we purchased. The trade we made was the exact number we wanted in trade. And might I say again, no pressure, kind professional people. It is the only dealership I have ever been in where I felt anyone there would be wonderful to work with and anyone would be happy to help us.If you try Speedcraft you will be back. We initially approached them because their prices were by far the most competitive (we were open to all sorts of makes and models). They actually listen to what your needs are and then explain in plain English what options they can provide in order to meet those needs. They treat you like an intelligent person and they'll treat you with respect. They also show excellent respect for your time and personal needs (one of the sales people was willing to drive me all the way home in order to get some documents because he knew that I had small children and that it would be a huge hassle for my husband to have to bring the kids out to the dealership). They don't act like the stereotypical "car salesman" and they don't try to sell you something that you don't want or need. Highly recommend.

Overall Speedcraft did a great job of taking care of my needs. I originally contacted them for a quote on a TDI Golf a few months ago at which time I decided that I wasn ready to purchase. I was not pressured at all. I requested that they keep me informed and to check back with me in a few months. Amazingly they did contact me in a few months although I still wasn ready. When compared to other dealers they respected my communication preferences. When I decided that I was ready to purchase Richard the Internet Sales Manager was great. We spoke about a vehicle on a Tuesday. Richard took the time to explain pricing, dealer hold back and current VW promotions. I committed to a price on Wednesday and I picked it up the next day. Richard had everything prepped such that I only had to go to the dealership once. I walked into the dealership at 7pm and Richard left me in the capable hands of another member of the Speedcraft staff Tom. Tom took the time to detail my potential vehicle and spent almost an hour going over the features of the vehicle. The whole dealership (Sales, Appraiser and Finance) stayed open well after closing to help with my purchase. Tom even helped transfer all the junk in my trade to my new car. All in all a great car buying experience

I recently purchased my '01 Audi A4 from Speedcraft, after a 6 + month search for the perfect vehicle. While I live in NY and was cautious after several long distance trips to view potential cars, Richard, Carrie, and the rest of the staff, at Speedcraft were very helpful, accommodating and responsive (ie: I got a response within half an hour of writing them with inquiries about the car and the next business day I have a video walk around of the A4 plus service documentation.) Once the deposit was down they helped out with all the necessary paperwork and bushwhacking through multiple state/insurance bureaucracy. Shortly thereafter I took the trip over and met with James who got everything finalized. With questions answered and transaction completed, I was on my way home having a lot of fun and very satisfied. My only misgiving about the whole process is that they are not located nearer to me, as I would happily go to them for any and all service, first rate! I would, and do, highly recommend them to anybody.

I was recently in the market for a NEW but USED car for myself. I had been putting it off for some time because I really don't like going to a dealership. We've all heard the stories of the pressure and haggling you get when you go. BUT, WOW was this a GREAT experience. I told Tom (sales) that I was just looking. He was awesome-just let me look around and asked if I had any questions. Tom answered the questions I had and that was it, no pressure. I then tried another approach to see if I was getting the real deal-Honesty. I sent an email from their website-www.speedcraftvw.com and again I was greeted with great service via an email from Richard who does their internet sales. I told him my situation and how I wanted to handle looking and purchasing a car. He listened and respected my wishes and then the deal was almost done. So now I needed to deal with the GM-James who is wearing a few hats but found the time to call or emailing me to keep me informed. So within 3 days - I went to get the car and sign the paperwork, I felt like I was the only one in the dealership but I wasn't. SO, if you are in the market for a car, you really need to contact SpeedcraftVW because it was just a great experience and I will definitely go back and tell folks. I bought my 2008 Passat wagon new from Speedcraft and have had all of my service done there since. It's always a bit more expensive to have service work done at the dealership but for me it is worth it -- they always get me in right away and I know the job will be done right the first time. What I like most about the service department is that they make me feel like they appreciate my business. They also appreciate my time -- since my car was in for a longer time the use of a loaner car allowed me to continue my busy day without a blip. I will continue to choose Speedcraft for all of my VW service and recommend it highly to all of my friends.

I would like to tell you how happy I am so far with the service I have received from Speedcraft VW. I took delivery of a 2012 Jetta TDI Wagon a full month earlier than anticipated, thanks to the diligence of Luke. James Dartt has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole experience of purchasing the vehicle including follow-up. Rich Carr has gone above and beyond in answering questions. When I came to the dealership looking to get into a 2012 VW Jetta TDI Wagon, my iPhone was having technical issues. Rich Carr was not my salesman, but he came over and offered his assistance. He spent a lot of time figuring out the problem and how to fix it. Rich emailed me the instructions for iTunes and told me I could email him at any time. My husband and I went home that afternoon with an estimated date of delivery for the vehicle I wanted of approximately one month. That night, I was able to fix my iPhone using the iTunes instructions Rich had emailed me and so I emailed Rich thanking him for his help. WIthin TWO DAYS (instead of 30 as originally estimated), I had heard from Rich that Luke found me a vehicle and I drove it home within 48 hours of originally walking into the dealership!!! Rich once again offered his assistance if I should need it, and said I could email him any time. Within 5 days of driving the car home, Rich emailed me asking how everything was going, even though he had nothing to do with the sale of the vehicle. Just this past Saturday, I received an email about a survey from a company claiming to be with VW. I was not sure of the validity of the survey, so I forwarded it to Rich asking if it was a valid survey. He immediately replied that he was out of town and would look into it and get back to me on Monday. Well, by dinner that day Rich had gotten back to me that it was a valid survey ON HIS DAY OFF! Rich Carr goes above and beyond with his customer service. He is a valuable member of the team at Speedcraft VW in Wakefield and I am very happy to say that I will recommend Speedcraft to friends in part because of the service Rich has given.I was very pleased with my first service appointment - I had questions about the new vehicle when I dropped it off and the gentleman behind the counter listened very attentively and said "No problem, we'll get all your questions answered". My headlight went out when I drove my car from NY to RI for a research cruise. Speedcraft VW allowed me to drop off my car and leave it there for 2 weeks, and they fixed it while I was gone. We recently entered the dealership at a time when we were uncertain as to whether we were going to purchase a new vehicle or invest further in our current. Rich showed us the Jetta Sportswagon and I immediately fell in love with it! Rich took the time with us (after hours) to take us for a test drive. It took us a month to finally decide to buy and in that time-frame Speedcraft was always patiently there for us while we asked questions, discussed pricing, options etc without them ever placing any pressure to buy. We gave the go ahead on a Saturday to "find" a 2012 Sportswagon TDI in 3 different color choices. They had my second color choice in by Wednesday! And this second color choice has turned out to be my favorite - White Gold is beautiful!! Speedcraft is a phenomenal dealership that fully caters to the customer and the customer's needs. Our family owns two other Jettas and we have a strong loyalty to Speedcraft due to their first class service, knowledge and expertise. They treat their customers like family. We recently entered the dealership at a time when we were uncertain as to whether we were going to purchase a new vehicle or invest further in our current vehicle at the time which needed some serious repair work. Rich showed us the Jetta Sportswagon and I immediately fell in love with it! Rich took the time with us (after hours) to take us for a test drive. We knew that ultimately my next vehicle would be a Jetta TDI due to its safety, reliability and great gas mileage however we were not certain that we were going to purchase a new vehicle as opposed to fixing our current vehicle at the time. Rich spent a great deal of time with us showing us the Sportswagon features and giving us honest answers to all of our questions. It took us a month to finally decide to buy and in that time-frame Speedcraft was always patiently there for us while we asked questions, discussed pricing, options etc without them ever placing any pressure to buy. We gave the go ahead on a Saturday to "find" a 2012 Sportswagon TDI in 3 different color choices. They had my second color choice in by Wednesday! And this second color choice has turned out to be my favorite - White Gold is beautiful!! We have been extremely happy with the Sportswagon and the personalized service that Speedcraft consistently provides. We plan on being Speedcraft customers for life!

Shopped online for a 2011 TDI SportWagen and contacted a bunch of dealers. Got a great price from a dealer in CT where I live who guaranteed they had a swap arranged to get my color choice. After a couple of weeks of frustration with them not telling me the truth, Richard Carr sincerely asked I give him a chance. I did. He returned phone calls promptly, answered his email and was not afraid to tell the truth. We hit a bump in the road and he owned the responsibility and proceeded to solve the glitch. I got a 2012 for the 2011 price he matched with the CT dealer. How people handle adversity is the true measure of their character. Richard was stellar. Been a month, my wife loves the TDI, the first service was flawless. I highly recommend Richard and this family run dealership.

I found my experience in dealing with Speedcraft Volkswagen to be very satisfying. The competing dealers with which I deal are large "factories" located in the Providence metropolitan area. While their selection is good, their high pressure approach to the relationship is annoying. At Speedcraft, a relatively small dealership, I felt no pressure, all employees were friendly (even the non sales employees), and the selection of vehicles was broad and of high quality. I did not feel like I had to be concerned about the history of the car or the way it had been maintained. While I was in search of a second family car, I will not hesitate to return when searching for a new primary vehicle. VW has certainly come a long way.

I live 45 mins from Speedcraft. I live 5-10mins from Matties in fall River, I pass Scotts, Fiore(Balise) and possibly one other in there. Why? Because the service staff(Front Desk, Service Technicians, and Managers) is friendly, professional, and are just that wonderful to work with. I have been going to Speedcraft for about 6 years now. Service has remained consistant. They make a trip to Speedcraft worth while. They will go over the work that needs to be done and will only do that which you approve. They make suggestions about possible work so there are no suprises. They are NEVER pushy about the suggestions! They let you make the descision. Seriously check them out, they truly are the best experience I have had at any car dealership.

This was probably the best experience I've ever had with a purchase. It was my first big purchase on my own, and it didn't even feel like that. I was respected and felt comfortable. They also worked with me on the price. They never pushed anything on me and explained everything. After agreeing to the car and price, the rest was just as painless. All of the paperwork was explained to me. It wasn't a "sign here" type of thing. The finance employee explained EVERY paper that I had to sign before showing me where to sign. Before driving off the lot, the salesman sat in the car with me and showed me the basics of all the controls in the car and other things I'd need to know, which was better than having to learn by reading the manual. I would definitely recommend Speedcraft to anyone that was looking for a stress-free experience. And I commend Speedcraft on their OUTSTANDING customer service- you will definitely have repeat business with service like that!

I could not comment on Quality of work since I haven't had any service yet. This dealership impressed me on a number of points. First, I stopped in a couple of time a year before I purchaesd a car and told them I wasn't buying at that time but just getting comparisons on several different brands. I was not only treated in a friendly manner but the cheerfully answered my questions, demonstrated various features of the car and even offered a test drive. All this even after i had made it quite clear that I was buying at that time. When we did decide to but the deal was rather straight forward, no cutesy dancing around about trade-ins. Which by the way was more than I had anticipated. I was shown a number of options on closing some of which we hadn't considered. There was no pressure to take any given one nor was there and hard sell for extended options I didn't want. Overall I was quite impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness, and curtesy of the staff.

Actually, this dealership is the best I have ever experienced. Especially professional, respectful, friendly. Each item was explained in detail, all of our questions answered thoroughly. Very impressive also was the way the staff treated each other. Each person went out of his way to help others. You can tell that the morale there is good--they like their jobs and each other. That makes a customer feel comfortable. The waiting time was very reasonable and talking with Luke about the new cars was so informative. He was patient and helped me figure out the pros and cons of the different vehicles. I am so happy with my 03 Passat wagon that I would buy the new bigger Jetta in a minute except for the seats. What were the designers thinking in making those seats so small?? The edges are also hard, so I really like the car but I don't know if my passengers would be comfortable in those seats. I wonder if you have received any more feedback about these seats. VW for me has been such a joy. My Passat wagon is nimble, sporty, comfortable with great cargo space--so I'm really devoted to the brand, especially the wagon, which actually has more cargo space than the SUV types. I have to transport a rather large wheelchair and my cargo space is just perfect. Bottom line----Speedcraft is doing a terrific job--they even washed my car!! Annette Pelletier

This is the best service department I've ever been to. Since I've purchased my used 2006 VW passat 2.0t I've had to have a few major repairs done. In all cases speedcraft was accomodating to my schedule and very friendly. I've sinced moved accross the state to woonsocket and although I know there are a number of closer VW dealers I drive 45 minutes to speedcraft any time I need service.

I purchased my 2006 Passat at Speedcraft in October 2006. Since then, I have experienced nothing but friendly, professional and expert service on the vehicle. There were a few "recalls" (problems that were identified and fixed before I was even aware that they could become problems) on the car, and the service department addressed them expeditiously. When I needed new tires, Speedcraft met the price of a discount tire dealer. I feel that you could not find better service anywhere. Of course, we all love a dependable, smooth-running car and service-pricing that is competitive. But what makes Speedcraft an "over-the-top" dealership is the friendly staff.
