Found a vehicle we were interested in on cars.com. Said the vehicle was located at Spitzer Chevrolet. We called Spitzer first thing in the morning with a few questions about vehicle. We were ask if we wanted to come up and look at vehicle. We live approximately 2 1/2 hours from Spitzer so we called the bank to get the preapproval in case we wanted to take the vehicle that day to save another trip. On our way to the dealership we called once again and were told they would have it up front and the snow cleaned off. We were told to ask for David. We arrive at the dealer ship and after a lengthy search of the lot we were told the vehicle was not even there. Very disappointing that we spent 6 hours of our day for nothing!!!!!

In Nov.2013 I had my car in for a oil change and to check a leak I saw in my driveway.400.00 later, the repairs were not covered by the extended warranty I purchased for the used car I purchased from this dealership. After this repair, the battery went dead this winter. Replaced by AAA. The AAA technician checked the coolant, he said there was very little. Isn't coolant added/checked during an oil change? 2 days ago, my air conditioner quit. A new compressor was apparently installed last year, under warranty by Spitzer Lordstown after I purchased it last summer 2013 from Spitzer. I had Valvoline Austintown do an oil change and check the air conditioner. The technician said there was very little freon. No obvious leaks were detected when checked. They thought maybe no freon was added when the compressor was fixed. I will never take this car back to Spitzer Chevrolet in Lordstown for service again.

I purchased a 2007 F-150 from the dealership about 2 months ago. It has had three issues that I brought up under "warranty". One I had fixed on my own, one they fixed after I complained enough, and this third one was looked at and returned with no issues found. This recent one was brought up about 2 weeks after purchase and is a major engine issue. I am going to talk to the general manager in a few hours, we will see how it plays out. For the record Nick in sales is great to buy from. Good upstanding low pressure guy. Depending on how the interaction goes today, I'll post my comments, I hope we can come to an agreement and the right thing is done.

when i arrived I was greeted with a Hello and how can I help you, so I told him i was interested in the Sonic and Spark but would also like to look at the used cars to see if anything caught my eye. Okay lets go over to the used cars and look around. (that was nice, then it went down hill from there and got worse). The salesman took my boyfriend and started showing him cars.,,, my boyfriend informed the gentleman several times I am not buying the car she is... finally he finds me and says what color do you like.. really color! I like the ford fiesta and the camero. oh okay. Lets go in and start the paperwork for a credit check okay. Again back to talking to my boyfriend about cars, it was like I wasn't even there! paper works done okay lets test drive the Vibe. How about a Sonic or Spark I asked. I wouldn't sell a Sonic or a Spark I don't like them. We're going to drive the Vibe. Get in the Vibe the gas light is on and it's empty oh it's okay we have plenty of gas. Okay drive it around mean while all the salesman does is talk to my boyfriensd about cars like their bonding best buddies..... again he isn't buying the car I am! And all I get not even to me but to my boyfriend is does she always drive like this, now your critizing the way I drive? Okay lets take the highway .... I say No we have no gas. Okay so back to the office we go,,, now he is critizing my car that I want to trade in ..really? okay now we are gonna process your loan to the bank lets sit here it shouldn't take long. After 2 1/2 hours of insults my boyfriend says we have to go call her when you get the answer from the bank, The next day he calls where is the paperwork we can't process this loan to the bank till we get the paperwork. I say you told us last night you aleady processed it... Silence then do you want to fax them over or stop by. So I fax them. Then I get the call you got the loan but we need your references and the bank wants $700.00 but we are gonna give you $700,00 for your car, okay but you have to give us $500.00, If the bank wants $700.00 and you are giving me $700,00 why do I need to give you $500,00? Silence and then so you can pick the car up today we put new tires on it what time will you be here to pick it up and give us the money? I'm not giving you $500.00 Why? I don't have it right now. Really are you serious?!? Yes well borrow it then! No Well we can't hold the Vibe for you . okay so don't sell it to someone else. Silence I thank him and tell him sorry for wasting his time. And I get I am just trying to work with you why won't you work with me? I hang up. Get another call the bank wants to know if you are the only name on the title.... what ???? of course it's only in my name (I consider this another insult) why are you calling me I told you I wasn't going to buy the car I did not even call back. So disappointed I was not treated well ,my driving was nsulted my boyfriend was insulted because of where he works and to top it off I NEVER GOT TO DRIVE ANY OF THE CARS I WANTED TOO ! ONLY WHAT HE WANTED ME TOO,AND HE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE THE CARS HE IS THERE TO SELL ! SERIOUSLY ! My boyfriend said just ask for another salesman NO THANKS they are probably just like him. I'll take my buisness somewhere else were they treat their customers right and at least let them try the cars the would like to try instead of forcing what the salesman thinks you should drive! This peobably won't be put up , I read the other reviews but when I talked to other employees at the plant Spitzer is not wellliked so it isn't just me . Word to the wise maybe Spitzer should work on their Customer Skills.

we are sitting for our late night appt and Trevor asked me to write a review to share my experience..its great! easy going and not pushy! I was looking yesterday for my handicapped uncle and he's making the purchase..I was soley the leg work. He didn't push me to buy buy buy..instead he cared about how my uncle is and asked numerous times how he can make it easier for him!! what a great guy.. We have now purchased two Impalas from Carol Ferry at Spitzer. I have even brought my 87 year old mother to buy from Carol. No pressure, no games, gives us the time to decide what is right for us. That is very much appreciated. In the past, I hated going into a car dealership. Pushy sales people, never wanted to let me think about how such a big purchaase would impact my financial situation, etc. In the past, I always felt somehow I was taken advantage of, that something wasn't right. This dealer did have good customer service and buying process but that is it. They obviously cheated me! i recently bought a vehicle from here and they said they did a full out "safety check" to make sure everything was running good and nothing was broke. Yeah right! safety check my butt! The obviously swiped the check engine code so it wasn't lit up because my spark plugs and my wire harness's were bad and causing a piston to misfire! and the dealer even put the wrong alternator on the vehicle. so after being in the shop for a week and 1,000 more dollars later i am not happy!

If you want great service Spitzer in North Jackson has it up front! If you are buying a new vehicle the service continues ( I have bought 2 in the last 12 months). If it is a used vehicle the high service and vehicle standards fall dramatically. As soon as you are out the door with a used car its tough luck suckers. They don't wash the vehicle well if at all. They painted over rust ( or maybe the previous owner did), left me with very little gas, and i'm having other issues. Not really Spitzer's fault on a used vehicle though. At any rate I would rate the experience average at best.

I TOOK MY 2011 CHEVY IMPALA IN FOR SERVICE FOR A TRACTION CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PROBLEM ON 6-24-13, FOR THE SECOND TIME. GAVE THE SERVICE PERSONAL MY INFO AND TOLD THEM EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DOING...AGAIN. THEY LOOKED AT IT ON 6-25-13. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL ME ON MY CELL AND LET ME KNOW WHAT THEY FOUND. BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.....INSTEAD THEY CALLED MY GIRLFRIEND, TOLD HER THAT THE CAR NEEDED BRAKES, NEW STABILIZER PINS IN THE REAR ( NOTE, THIS CAR IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND REAR STABILIZER PINS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TRACTION CONTROL IN THE FRONT), THEN THEY TELL HER THAT IT NEEDS A NEW GAS PEDAL INSIDE THE CAR....WHAT THE.....SO THEY TELL HER 800 AND SOME DOLLARS TO FIX IT AND ASK HER IF THEY CAN DO IT....IT'S NOT EVEN HER CAR!!! SO MY GIRLFRIEND CALLS ME AND TELLS ME ABOUT, WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS FUMING MAD. I CALLED THEM AND ASKED THEM ABOUT THE CAR, REAL NICE...(AT FIRST), ASKED THEM WHY THEY DID'NT CALL ME FIRST...WE ALL KNOW WHY THOUGH DON'T WE....BY THE TIME IT WAS DONE IT WAS'NT PRETTY. I originally thought when son told me he wanted to look at a truck at this dealership? It's 45 minutes away, is it really worth it? He said it was so off we went........We are soooooo glad we did!! We were greeted as soon as we got inside, nobody pestered us as we were browsing outside--I don't like pressure sales. When we told the front office what we were interested in, we were introduced to Nick Corelette and I can not tell you how up front and kind he was!! He treated my 19 yr. old son as the buyer and not the "kid" who needed a co-signer, I appreciate that more than he will ever know--it's nice at that young age to be treated as you should, especially when you are the one going to pay the bill!! I think they have really really changed.. I have had no problems with their service department, yet.. the biggest problem was CHEVROLET making them do step ONE before they got to what was the problem (we may have to pay for that cause it wasn't covered under our ext.warranty - but they are working with us on that)The guys in service.. will do their best to get you in and out and get it fixed and even give you a ride if you need one!

I have dealt with Carol Ferry on 3 different occasions in getting new cars. Every time the experience has been fantastic. She has been very helpful and their Finanance department was great also.

The auto industry has one of the "best kept secrets" at Spitzer Chevy in North Jackson Ohio, and his name is " Trevor Baulo" Being in retail sales for over 20 years myself, Mr. Baulo gets an A+ in all areas. I just returned to Spitzer for my first oil change. It has been 9 months since I've talked with Trevor. Starting with a friendly greeting and a smile, then remembering my actual name ! As a customer, this means so much! I have recieved such an intense follow-up from Mr. Baulo since I leased my new Chevy Cruze. Mr. Baulo's warm approach to sales goes far beyond the average car salesman. His direct eye contact, countenance, and attentative listening to what a customer is actually is saying, then acting on that question or comment from the customer ranks him top in sales performance far above any competetion in the auto sales industry !!! I felt pressured into the purchase of the G6 and was unhappy with comfort of the driver's seat after only a few hours in it, I was not aware of how a car seat could affect a back problem until I had to spend time sitting in the seat with the "pocket" built into it. I stopped in shortly after the purchase to have few minor repairs done that was verbally promised by the salesman and found he left employment, needless to say, it was not in writing so nothing was done. I stopped in on 2 seperate occasions to find out what else they would recommend with a different seat, and was told they had nothing better to replace it with, all seats were now built that way. I shopped some other dealers and was told the same thing until I stopped in at a local Ford dealer that showed me a Ford Escape, I love it, the seat is not built with the "pocket" in the seat, and I no longer have the back problems from driving. I was amazed at how many other people I spoke with that also have the same issue with the "pocket" seats. I have told them to check out the Escape, it worked for me.I did have a problem with the service dept also. I stopped in to have them check out a tire that was going flat. I was told it had a nail in it that was not able to be patched because it was too far up into the wall of the tire to be safe, the new tire was about $200.00. I felt this was too high of a price and took it to Sears, they looked at the tire, showed me where the nail was in the tread, and fixed it for about $20.00. The people in the service dept were great, I was alway treated with respect by them BUT, The price and misdiagnosis of my tire was the last time I was there.

I have shopped and bought many new and used cars and I can honestly say that I never had a dealership experience like this one. I was online serching for a silverado and came across one at Spitzer and on my lunch the next day I went to look at it and hooked up with Shawn, he was very educated about the trucks he sold and he told me about this truck and we took it for a ride and the one thing that sets this dealership apart from any other I have shopped is the pricing.Shawn had explained the pricing and how it worked he was very honest and no let me talk with my manager bull so that being said I asked if he could do one thing for me to close the deal and without struggle he agreed so I made the purchase. I would recommend this dealer to anyone and already have, awesome job to Shawn. I have owned the truck now for two months now and had a fuel problem but lucky for me I bought my truck at Spitzer's and this is where I meat Jarod, this guy has gone out of his way to ensure my every need been taken of as far as picking my truck up at my work and delivering it back to me with the problem fixed to renting me a truck and them picking me up at my house. Great work never gets noticed but I hope this review helps and these guys get the reconition they deserve. Buying a new car can be an intimidating experience. Not here, Brandon went the extra mile to find me the car at the price I wanted to pay and also offered me a fair trade in on my old car. Also, he has followed up several times after the sale to make sure that I am content and have no problems with the vehicle. It's a nice change from the "bigger" car dealers who forget you once you sign on the dotted line. Will definately look him/Spitzers up the next time I'm in the market. Highly recommend.

I have worked for GM in many positions from harness builder, tech, Quality Control foreman and found the more information you have on the product the better you can work with people and sell a great product. Carol had the knowlege and she showed her talent in showing me my carI travel several miles to go to this dealership. I also meet people there that are driving many more miles that I do to use this dealer. I purchased my brand new 08 Chevy Tahoe from Shawn Sweitzer, he was and still is the friendliest, most knowledgeable sales person I have ever met. My Tahoe was a surprise Christmas gift from my husband, and Shawn found the exact truck I wanted and he even put a HUGE red bow on it when my husband brought me in to pick it up. Whenever I bring my Tahoe in for service he always makes a point to come into the waiting room and say hi. This spring in addition to my Tahoe, we are looking to purchase a Chevy Cruze and we will be looking for Shawn to once again help us choose our new car. But, uh sorry Shawn, you can't have my Tahoe. It'll be a long time before I even think about parting with that truck. I still love it!! The service dept. personnel are great too. The service writers know me and my kids by name when I come in (my first name too, not just my last name), and they always give my twin girls cookies. This makes the wait way more enjoyable and my girls don't mind sitting for awhile while my Tahoe gets an oil change.It's nice to be able to come into a dealership where everyone is so friendly. We'll be seeing everyone soon!!

I had an appointment to have a transmission leak fixed at 8:30 am was told this would take about one and a half hours to complete. At about 10:30 am I was told they were having trouble getting the right oil and they were on there way with the oil they would need it should be done around 12 noon. Then at about 1:30 pm was told they are still on road getting the oil then at 3:00 pm was told they were getting me a rental car at 3:30pm rental finally showed up. I thought the reson you make an appointment is so you can be prepared to do the job!!!!!! I had 7 Hrs wasted sitting there and was told atleast once they were on ther way with the oil witch was a lie and my 7 hours got me a coupon for a free oil change well I will never step foot back in spitzers again an oil change for you not being prepaired!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on.

Andy and Mike were particularly fast and accommodating in getting a few repairs done to the used truck I purchased. Originally was going to lease my new vehicle from Diane Sauer Chevrolet. Since I had already once decided to lease my Chevy Trailblazer from Spitzer Chevrolet, I decided I would try Spitzer one more time. Diane Sauer had promised a price that they were not able to meet. Spitzer came through with the price any saved me over #15.00 a month on the same deal. Shawn was extremely helpful and organized and obtained a vehicle for me over the phone and made the arrangements extremely accomodating. I was happy I went with Spitzer Chevrolet and highly recommend the dealership.

I had started my search for an Equinox at 2 previous dealerships when I decided to try Spitzer. To my surprise, the sale representative approached me outside while I was walking around looking at the vehicles on the lot. He listened to what I had learned from the other dealerships that I had visited and he took into account that I had a price in mind with a monthly payment that suited me. Brandon along with Mitch worked hard to get me the car I wanted at the price I wanted. Overall my experience at Spitzer was great and I hope that any future visits are as equally satisfying.

December 2011Went to Spitzer to lease a vehicle....long story short:Sales Rep...Trevor, extremely nice and reason I did not return vehicle within 3 day Ohio limitExperience:We purchased the vehicle on a Monday and was told they would install DVD and bring to our house later in the evening. The car showed up several hours later than we were told (not detailed) , but again we were happy the car was being delivered. The DVD player had static when the audio was played and grease spots were present on the seats. The car remained overnight with us...Spitzer sent someone out to try to clean the seats the next day...however, no luck...vehicle back to dealership....the car remained there for 5 days until we received it on Saturday as the correct parts were not ordered during the week. Spitzer did step and provide a replacement vehicle, but the reason I am writing this is for the buyer to beware how shady this place is....my wife and I specifically asked if we can move our payments back a week or 2 later and the Finance mgr stated yes, that ALLY will move the due date that free of charge (1)time. Well, that was not the case as ALLY stated there is a $360 fee for this to be done. I simply would have waited 2 weeks to lease the vehicle, but again was mislead and certainly lied to. So, again my overall experience was that this dealership is eager to make the sell.....customer service great (Trevor)....their work was pretty bad as the vehicle was brought to me not detailed, grease spots and static on the DVD player audio....not to mention with 112 extra miles than what we signed the lease papers with. Again...my main concern is how a finance mgr can mislead customers. My wife and I are fortunately in a position that we can make this payment no matter where it falls during the month, but others may not.
