After visiting a few car dealerships and having poor customer service or having the stereotypical, sleazy and pushy sales person, Kendall at Subaru of BR made my vehicle purchase pleasant and efficient. I was in and out in less than and hour and a half. Kendall was great during the test-drive, easy to talk to, and gave me space to think and talk through my decision. David make the paperwork process straightforward and simple, allowing me to make it home for dinner! I appreciate the two individuals I worked with and would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a quality shopping experience.

I was expecting the typical salesperson pitch,the hours of going back and forth haggling when I arrived at the Baton Rouge location. I was mistaken. I purchased a pre-owned Hyundai, which I didn't expect to see on their large inventoried lot! Every person at this business was courteous and very helpful. My salesperson Missy,was knowledgeable,patient,and kind. I have purchased many vehicles in my lifetime and this was by far the best experience that I have had. Great experience! From the first meeting with Ryan to the test drive to the finance dept to the "lessons" after the sale, Subaru of BR is top-notch! I was not in the market for a car at this time, but the Flood of 2016 changed my mind. Kendall Theunissen, my salesman, was such a tremendous help; he did not lose his patience with me when I had to cry a couple of times! He knew my budget and helped me find a low-mileage previously owned vehicle that I have fallen in love with! Every individual that I dealt with at Subaru and Acura was extremely helpful...professional and courteous...understanding of the position the flood had put me in, financially and emotionally! I've been in the market for a Subaru Crosstrek, following some thorough research of comparable vehicles. I personally visited two Subaru dealerships and contacted another via internet. I walked into the dealership unannounced, I was greeted by a big smile from Allison. She was super nice and a pleasure to work with. I returned the next day, Allison was busy with another customer at the time. So she had me work with Ryan who was great as well. We ended up working out a deal and i was able to get my WRX, my dream car. If you ever want a car buying experience where the staff actually cares about you and your needs go to Subaru Baton Rouge. I went to many other dealerships like honda and etc, and the sales staff at those dealerships didnt even try to show me features of the car, just walked up and said do you want to buy it. Then got annoyed when i said i want to look around some more.This has been the best experience i have ever had at a dealership!

We had always been a Honda family. But my most recent visit to Honda for my next car was not a very good experience. It almost as if they thought they were doing me a favor by allowing me to buy another car. So I decided to look elsewhere. I had always heard about Subaru's quality and owner satisfaction. Ethan Venable was so wonderful. He made the experience such a joy. At one point, my phone was dying, and I was offered multiple chargers from the salesmen while I waited. Cherry on top was the "treat bag" I got when I left which included Subaru tennis balls and bandanas for my two dogs. With treatment like this, I will be a lifelong customer! I recently purchased an Outback at Subaru of Baton Rouge and was extremely pleased with the personnel who handled the sale. The day before I went to the dealership, I had spoken on the phone with Ethan, but when I arrived I incorrectly gave another name at the front desk and was told there was no one there by that name. We were assigned another salesperson, Alyson, and after working with her for about an hour, she realized that it was Ethan that I had spoken to on the phone the day before. She was immediately ready to turn our business over to him. He declined, but they eventually worked the sale together. I was very impressed with the way they handled what was my mistake in not remembering Ethan's name. They were both very professional and knowledgeable about about the car.This is the first Subaru that I own. I love the size of the car, how it handles, and it is a very good looking vehicle. In the last 15 years I've owned Toyota's and Mercedes, but am very impressed so far with this Outback. I would definitely recommend visiting Subaru of Baton Rouge when shopping for a car. Thank you.

This was my first time purchasing a car. I was pretty lost and Subaru helped me out every step of the way, making it a really fun experience without any pushiness. I inquired about a certified pre-owned Crosstrek via the company website, and Kendall emailed me soon after that to discuss. He provided all the information I asked for, including a weird question (I had a British Columbia license from living abroad - he advised me to get a Louisiana one ASAP and referred me to the Express DMV). After test driving the car, I fell in love with it but wasn't sure if I could make it work financially. So I looked into some other options, but I was still thinking about my electric blue baby Crosstrek. After looking at some numbers and reprioritizing some things, I thought maybe I could swing it. (Kendall had given me a financial formula to get a rough idea of down payments, monthly payments, etc).So I came back to the dealership yesterday a couple hours before closing. Ethan helped me because Kendall was with another customer, and I took another test drive. Ethan was very friendly and enthusiastic. Then Kendall and I went to work on the deal and he made it happen, even though I could tell it had been a super long day and he had been going nonstop. This dealership had been helping a lot of flood victims get into desperately needed vehicles. Kendall was very straightforward and focused throughout the process.Eventually I got to work with Paul in Finance - he was awesome too. Efficient, funny, and very informative. He also answered all my newbie questions very thoroughly, even though it was time to close up shop and it was getting dark outside. They got me out the door and into my new car, and let me park my old one in a well-lit area to pick up later. I've had my car for about 15 hours and I'm no less than OBSESSED! Thank you Subaru of BR!

With two cars under water to the roof tops, we were in desperate need of transportation. We traveled from Lafayette to purchase a vehicle here. I requested some info online about preowned cars. Kendall responded immediately and sent me the info I was looking for. I went to Subaru of BR to look at the Forester. From the moment i arrived everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful. I was comparing with a competitors vehicle and Andrew Leat and Ethan Venable answered every question (and there were many!) with patience and without pressuring me whatsoever. I really dislike a dealer who "reminds" me 3 times during the initial visit that i said if we could agree on numbers they would earn my business "today"... A total turnoff for me. This was not my experience with Andrew and Ethan... Quite the opposite. Andrew and Ethan, the "big guys" could take lessons from you! Although i have not purchased yet i will return to this dealership to purchase my next vehicle primarily because of the transparency of dealing with them and the patience they have exhibited towards me in allowing me to come to my own decision. They have changed my view of dealing with car salesmen for the better! It is my impression that they represent the qualities of the dealership in how they prefer to treat their customers. And I do prefer the Subaru! I am very happy with my experience.

I came in on a Saturday without an appointment just to look around at what vehicles might be available. Andrew Leat was quick to help, and answer any questions I had. It being my first experience with buying a car, I was a little apprehensive as I've heard plenty of horror stories. But I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or mislead. All of the facts were offered up without hesitation, and nothing was obscured or made to seem confusing either. We came all the way from Covington just to personally deal with BR and Ryan. We literally love three blocks away from a Subaru in Covington but they lack personality and the service we get here at BR! They will have our long lasting loyalty. Dealership was clean, well appointed and full of information about the vehicles. Our salesman, Andrew Leat was pleasant, not pushy or high pressure, but he knew the car we were interested in very well. We met with him twice and took a test drive in the vehicle we were interested in, the Outback Limited. On our third visit, we decided to buy a vehicle coming in in a couple of weeks. He explained the purchase process well and offered us a good deal on the car including a very fair value for our trade in vehicle. Since we did so much prep work out front, the day of actual purchase went smoothly. The financing person was thorough, not pushy in explaining extended warranties available for the vehicle. We got three. After finalizing our purchase Andrew spent significant time showing us all aspects of the vehicle before we finally left the dealership. This was one of the easiest and best car buying experiences I have ever had.

Andrew Leat was the most cordial and helpful sales person I have ever encountered at a dealership. He answered all my questions, and whatever I did not think to ask, he made it a point to inform me of things I really needed to know. He did an excellent and thorough job of showing and explaining all of the safety features of the Subaru Forester that I was interested in. He even synced my cell phone to the Bluetooth(I usually don't bother with such techno stuff) but now I feel just like all the other "tekkies" out there. :) I must say I am very impressed with Andrew's expertise and service.

I explained my situation to Ryan Ross. He was very understanding to my situation with the other dealer. We put together a deal and I gave my other dealer a chance to match it. I had been researching Subarus for a long time and wanted to test-drive a Forester based on the excellent outside reviews. However, I dreaded what I expected would be the typical dealership experience--high pressure sales followed by high pressure finance, if I decided to purchase the car. The Subaru BR dealership was nothing like what I expected. Our salesperson, Ryan Ross, was truly excellent--knowledgeable, personable, patient, and clearly more interested in making sure that we found a vehicle that met our expectations rather than just making a sale. One thing I really appreciated was his understanding that during a test drive, one wants to concentrate on listening and feeling the car's "ride." He never talked loudly over the driving in the way that some sales people will do, yet he was ready to answer any questions we had as we drove, as well as to point out what to expect at certain points during the drive. When it came time for the business end, Ryan and David Barbera were efficient and clear with the paperwork. The price was great, and the trade-in value for my old car more than fair. After the sale, Ryan spent an hour in the car, going over everything we needed to know. We really appreciated his care. This is a great dealership with the emphasis on service. I should also point out that we LOVE our new Subaru!!!

I had a 2.5 hour drive there and back so I wish they would have had my car ready when I finished the paperwork and the satellite radio was not setup either, every other place you get a free subscription for 6-12 months. We had an unfortunate failure of our sun roof of our Outback. The staff of Subaru BR were very concerned about protecting our vehicle from the rain which was starting. They were fantastic with removing all of the glass debris and scheduling a replacement sun roof glass. The service that was in the rendered by each of the employees was world class. We did a large amount of Internet research to find a VERY SAFE, quality vehicle for our daughter's first car. She is a junior in high school, has been driving almost every day for over a year but we wanted a stylish, affordable, advanced technological TANK. EVERY WEBSITE PRAISED THE ENTIRE Subaru brand. We started looking at the 2015 Crosstrek at the end of its production cycle. We felt front collision avoidance, blind spot and rear side traffic warning were absolutes. The 2015 Crosstrek did not have these but the rest of the Subaru line did. Our daughter fell in love with the Crosstrek and we started to waver on the safety items. Lo and behold, Subaru ended the 2015 production cycle, simultaneously announcing all our desired safety features would be available on the 2016. We placed a "built to order" deposit. From that point on, Ryan and Davis kept us updated on the status of the car. We expected the vehicle to be delivered late November-early December. Then we received a call during the last week of October that the car was here. My daughter was resigned to driving her brother's car until near Christmas. To make this long story short, just about the entire dealership helped us plan a huge surprise today (11-03-2015) for an unsuspecting young lady. It went perfectly, red bow, wide eyes and tears. Then Ryan spent a very long time with her, teaching the use of the car and special things like how to read an oil dipstick, change fluids, fix flats. Every one in the dealership at some point today came out to introduce themselves and congratulate her. THIS DEALERSHIP SELLS THE HIGHEST QUALITY VEHICLES AND TREATS EVERY CUSTOMER AS IF THAT CUSTOMER WAS THEIR MOST SPECIAL CLIENT. My wife and a friend are now considering Subarus ( and we have owned all the fancy European and Japanese cars). Subarus will keep my family as a family and they are pretty awesome looking to boot!! I just got rid of a high end German vehicle because the service has so deteriorated. Want to have fun buying a great vehicle ? Go to Subsru of Baton Rouge. Addendum: closing the deal paperwork-wise could have taken hours as my wife was not readily available to sign. It took the dealership less than 45 minutes to get paperwork ready and made total convenience for my wife to sign. That's classy!

Trying to trade a car in for another used car, employee used kellybluebook for my car and nada for their car's price, knowing that nada prices higher and kellybluebook prices lower naturally. Very unethical. Called a manager as well (david), left a voicemail and did not get an answer. Also called and complained to a different employee (ryan) who apologized and said he'd look into it and give call later that day, then never received a call. Would not recommend to anyone and am definitely bringing my business elsewhere.

I did my research and knew what I wanted. The team that worked on getting me my Crosstrek listened to me and what I wanted and made it happen. They followed up and followed through and didn't push anything. It was a quite comfortable experience. They taught me about my new car and it's features and made suggestions on how to keep it up as long as possible. The team was welcoming and I look forward to having them service my new car when the time comes! I would recommend David and Subaru of BR!

I shopped for my new car very diligently, looking at many SUV's in person and online via Consumer Reports, Edmunds, etc. The Subaru Outback easily topped the list after all my research. The dealership in Baton Rouge worked hard to help me order a car specific to my active lifestyle and kept me up to date on the progress of its arrival. Every staff person I worked with was helpful, informative, easy to communicate with and reach when i had questions. The most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had - bar none.

I bought my 2015 WRX back in Sept. 2014. It was a good buying experience, could have been a little better. My car, however, has been in for service 5 times already. (purchased brand new) The first 3 times were to get a scratch off of the rear door, the third time they kept my car for 3 days. The scratch remains on my door today! The next time was for a brake issue, they found a bad brake pad and it was tearing up the rotor. They fixed all of that under warranty no problem! Recently I was having a noise in my clutch. They had it for 15 days while they waited on parts, that they didn't even use!!! They told me it was Subaru's policy to order all parts associated with the clutch, wait for them to arrive and then open transmission to see what it actually needs! We were waiting on a flywheel that was back-ordered, then got stuck in Mississippi. After all that, all they changed was the release bearing. Then 2 days after I got my car back, the shifter failed on me going 60mph on the interstate, leaving me stuck in 3rd gear! Had it towed after a horrible experience with Subaru Roadside Assistance. Went to the dealership and was spoken to by the service manager in a way that is unacceptable to speak to any customer. They called me a few hours later telling it was ready, and that it was a shift cable retainer clip that was missing. She quickly added that it had nothing to do with the work they had completed 2 days earlier. Hard to believe since those parts were moved around and its only a 6 month old vehicle. I did not argue however, I just wanted to be done with the situation and the dealership! I do not recommend this dealer, as they have a severe problem with certain employees and keeping good ones! Both Service Advisers were the only good part about this experience, Very professional, respectful, and concerned about my situation, unlike the Service Manager.

Subaru of Baton Rouge is hands down the best dealership in the area. Probably the state. They are always having events and the lobby is teeming with excitement and displays beautiful Subarus. Their service department is very friendly, they offer all sorts of amenities for their guests, they do very thorough work. The sales team is envigorated. Last but not least, they sell Subaru. This is to me the best vehicle that you can buy short of spending an obscene amount of money on a luxury vehicle and then I'm not even sure. If you're looking for a vehicle, be sure to make one of your stops Subaru of Baton Rouge!

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH SUBARU OF BATON ROUGE WAS OUTSTANDING; EXCELLENT OVERALL. The sales team will literally make you want to purchase from Subaru of Baton Rouge. Erin is the person that I've mostly had exchanges with on a potential purchase or a test drive. She is always attentive, like the rest of the sales team, she does her homework, remembers your face and your issues, and will reach out with friendly reminders and updates. This is exactly the kind of buying experience that I enjoy and I think if you stop in or better yet, send her an email, you will also have a similar experience. The truth is, I think these vehicles sale themselves. When's the last time you were behind the wheel of a Subaru? Hmmm? Test drive one and you might not see vehicles the same way again.

We needed a larger car so I was looking at the Outback while our Forester was in the shop for scheduled maintenance. Aimee showed me the model on the showroom but when we returned that weekend, she was gone but we spoke with Erin. After several days of changing our minds, we finally settled on the model we wanted and we met Chris the financial advisor. Everyone was fantastic. Very thorough and friendly, which made negotiations go very well. I can't recommend Subaru of Baton Rouge enough. If your looking for a new car, Subaru is a great choice. And when you decide to buy one, Subaru of Baton Rouge is the place to do it.

Our first visit was to have our Subaru Forester serviced with Chance. Aimee greeted me in the showroom and we discussed the Outback. I returned the following weekend with my wife and we decided we were definitely interested. Aimee wasn't there so we began working with Erin. She was knowledgeable and very friendly in helping us through the selection process(es)... Once we decided on the model and color, Chris came over and explained in great detail just what was what.I cannot emphasize enough how much the dealership and staff impressed me. I haven't actually gone to a dealership and bought a car since 2000, so the thought of doing it was very overwhelming to me! I'd read about the awesome quality of Subarus and knew pretty early on in the process that I wanted a Subaru. I visited the dealership a total of 3 times either just browsing or working out the details - I have nothing but positive comments relative to my experiences. The staff was warm and welcoming and made me feel comfortable. They were patient with me as I worked through what could have been a very intimidating process; my sales person wasn't a stereotypical salesperson that might have rushed me or made me feel uneducated on the process - she made me feel "at home." She did a good job of explaining the attributes of the car - a very good tutorial.There were actually 2 vehicles on the lot at the time that met my criteria for what I was looking for, so I feel that the selection was on-target for my needs. The facility was clean and pleasing.Overall, I believe that the staff at Subaru of Baton Rouge embody what I would hope to find in a Subaru dealership - they promote the culture of Subaru in a very positive way.

I am extremely pleased with my experience at Subaru of Baton Rouge. I went to this dealer specifically to pick up a WRX, as they were the closest dealer with one in my area and had plenty of them to choose from. I found this extremely helpful as most Subaru dealers in my area had very few, or none at all - I was easily able to choose exactly what I wanted. I traveled over 200 miles to pick up the car and could not have been more pleased with their service. Chris Nielson was extremely informative and knew his stuff. I've talked to many dealers who were more concerned with selling me something than actually educating me about the car. This was not the case with Chris. Chris was able to answer every question I had (and more) and was open and clear about the differences between the cars that I was choosing from. This was my first time to purchase a new car and I appreciated the honesty and patience from him and the rest of the employees. I love my WRX, it's absolutely everything I've ever wanted in a car. If you are considering purchasing a Subaru, definitely contact Subaru of Baton Rouge, these guys are great!

This service Dept kept our car for a 3 week period, and still not not fix everything properly, and missed item on their service inspection. The fact that Subaru of Baton is brand new , with only 1 tech qualified to do Subaru repairs is a shortcoming. The MGT., should have decided to get all techs up to par with training before officially opening for full service. If they had only been open for oil changes and other simple repairs, that is fine, but taking on full fledged warranty repairs without adequate training is a poor MGT decision. when they determined that we needed major trans work, differential work + they should have suggested them bringing our car to another Subaru Service, instead of holding us hostage to wait for a tech to get back from training, after he diagnosed and took the trans apart. We were given a Subaru Forester loaner, for the entire time, but putting that liability on us was not as convenient as it might seem to some. Even after the tech returned from training, it was determined that parts were not ordered right etc. Then after final pick up, areas of repair were not addressed and not performed properly. Ultimately this led me to having to bring my car to a dealer in New Orleans and spending a whole day there. I had to lose one day of work, spend more money in gas, etc. The mishandled repairs were taken care of in 4-5 hrs at Bryan Subaru, in Metairie, and they also found that the Tech from Subaru of Baton Rouge completely missed 2 bad belts on their inspection. Over all our experience was poor at this dealer, but even thought the service adviser tried hard, it was not enough effort to make up for all the downfalls, of a Subaru Service, putting the cart before the horse. You should not open to the public, for full service unless you can stand behind that with trained techs. All the excuses were not results. I'm sure in time this immature dealer, will be well desired, but they have much to do, staring at MGT on down regarding procedure. If I were buying a new Subaru, I may not return to Subaru of Baton Rouge, and they don't even have their real building up yet. A real shame, of an experience.
