Pleasant and courteous individual at desk checking me in. Asked me what I would like done to my vehicle. Service tech came out to inform me on the condition of my vehicle and made recommendations. The individual that checked me in was willing to speak to my husband over the phone to recommend what was to be done. Big plus. Waiting area was spotless and comfortable.

I want to take this opportunity to give a big shout out to our salesman, Michael Fernandez for being so awesome. I explained what I was looking for and how much I could afford. Michael walked me through the lot and explained what would work for me. With that, I test drove a few cars and decided on the Impreza Hatchback. He was very informative and explained all the details on the car and what came with my package. Michael is a real people person and not your typical car salesman. My name is Vadim Shpolyansky and I am writing this to inform you fellow Subaru owners to stay away from Subaru of Newton in Newton, Nj. If you care about your car, honest, and money then this story impacts you and your daily life. Let me start from the beginning, I was sold my car three years ago, excited about owning a Subaru because I have a family and safety is very important to me. Thinking things were great, I quickly learned they were not. I had minor issues with this car, but I over looked it because things happen and sometimes luck doesn't follow us. However because of recent circumstances, I feel I should be warning Subaru owners against this dealership. I went into Subaru to do some routine maintenance on my 2013 Subaru Outback; well this routine maintenance cost me around a $1,000. Fine I thought, Ill pay, better to be safe. However, after a few days of having my car, I notice a weird noise coming from my car. I am a very thorough man. I pay attention to every little detail, especially after dropping $1,000 not even a week ago. Once again, I find myself at the Subaru dealership in Newton. This time they tell me its a wheel bearing which costed me $550. Fine, another payment I paid. For three years I went to this dealership. When they said to fix something I did it right away, no hesitations. I only went to them for three years because I trusted them. Clearly that was my mistake. Not even ONE month later and 4,000 miles later, I am getting my tires rotated at the local tire shop and the mechanic lets me know that my rubber boot was cut and grease was leaking out. I couldn't believe it. It was only one month since my car was in the dealership and now I had to bring it back? Ok fine. I called the manager and he said If you brought it back two days later, I would say it was our fault. However its been one month and 4,000. Why should I check my car after spending 1,500 dollars?! EXCUSE ME. When they installed the hub, they accidentally cut the boot. No one told me about it, and theres no way to find that out unless you physically get out of the car. Theres no noise, no leaking. The only way to find out is to lift the car. How did this dealership expect me to do this? That is NOT my duty. Before they gave my car back, they should have checked EVERYTHING. That is NOT my job. It is THEIRS. This cost me another $580. Now its not even about the money at this point. Its the pure disrespect. Also, to have grease leaking like that is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I commute every day about a hour and 30 minutes. God forbid the grease leaked into my brakes and I couldn't stop. Who would support my family. Its a xxxx shame that I trusted this Subaru of Newton dealership and they completely screwed me over. If you care about your life, money, and time: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They lie and do not take responsibility for their own actions. Its a shame. Subaru is such a great company and this dealership is the complete opposite. I will NEVER bring my car here again and I strongly suggest that you dont either.

Today I bought a subaru legacy from them, it was by far one of the BEST expierences I have EVER had buying a car. First of all my salesman Shawn Doriety was excellent. He was very competent in subarus products and was able to assist me to select the perfect match for me. I also had the pleasure of meeting with the general manager Anthony!! He was amazing he really made it his priority to get me in the car I wanted and made sure I went home in a grear car for a great price. He excels at what he does and you can tell that he reallys loves what he does, and enjoys making sure all subaru world of newton's customers go home happy and comfortable that they got a great deal!!

Members of the staff (I was in service) were friendly and smiled in greeting as they passed me. Also, the man at the desk was very tolerant of the fact that I got there a bit late. Finally, I was surprised by how quickly the job was completed. I liked that the service staff member came out to talk to me about a problem I thought I had with my emergency brake, and he taught me that I have to have my foot on the brake in order to disengage the emergency brake. In teaching me this, he didn't make me feel stupid.

Service advisor was very good. He listened to my concern about an extended crank before start and immediately went into the service bay to speak to the tech. Their was an update covering this from Subaru for my vehicle which was performed. Car was originally brought in for a return visit for an oil consumption test. the car passed and the advisor explained to me the proper way (per Subaru) to check the oil level.

From the initial greeting (Dave) to the final set up of pairing my phone / bluetooth with the new radio (Pat), everyone was very friendly and made my Saturday morning errand more pleasant than expected. I liked Karen Dietz e-mail and phone calls. I went to the April 23rd event Target $15 gift card, because my lease expires Sept. 2016. I really liked that Ryan Forbeck did not put pressure on me to get into a new vehicle before I was ready. Ryan Forbeck and Karen Dietz set up a test drive for a vehicle that had a manual transmission, and Ryan went on the test drive with me. Ryan answered all of the mechanical questions I had. Ryan Forbeck and Karen Dietz found the vehicle I wanted in a week, and agreed on pricing. Mike Fernandez was really helpful with the purchasing of the vehicle, and went over the whole vehicle. I came out of a 2014 Forester automatic base model so he went over all the changes made. ie Starlink, Information display/controls, Center entertainment/phone connection. Mike and I looked at the 2016 Forester Premium I purchased, took it for test drive; and he made sure I was happy with the purchase. Mike and Ryan were helpful in ending my 2014 Forester lease, and getting me the 2016 Forester I wanted, at the payments I wanted.

This is my first experience with the Service Department and I was so impressed. Had the oil changed and the tires rotated. My appt was at 10 and I was out by 1045. This has never happened at any dealership in all of my years of driving.

Ryan Forbeck was very patient with us. Over 2 Saturdays we had him show us several cars and test drive a couple. He answered all our questions and didn't pressure us when we said we would be back after looking at Honda since we currently own one. We decided on the Subaru Outback and they made the process very easy and hassle free. We had stopped at a couple of other dealers and they were not as responsive as Subaru in Newton. Even after the sale was finalized Ryan took time to explain the features and helped us get adjusted since this was our first Subaru. We will gladly recommend them to anyone in the future.

The two service guys, especially David at the Newton Subaru is so kind and not a pushy sales man. I had various questions that he answered without pushing anything on me. I have a small child that comes with me during the service and the employees were so kind and friendly to me and my son which I appreciate because it can be stressful with a 20 month old waiting for repairs to be done on your car. Lastly, I feel that the guys at the service desk talk to me as they would talk to anyone else, and don't treat me differently because I am a woman. There are plenty of car repair places that talk to me differently than they would talk to my husband and that is not right! Keep up the good work at Newton Subaru! I didn't buy my Subaru at this dealership. At the time it was under other mgmt. I do get my car serviced here. I stopped in tonight without an appointment to ask about 3 lights on my dash board. They took my car right in and it was done in less than s half hour. It was a valve under warranty. No charge. Their hours are great. I can always get an appointment for the day I need. My wife and I worked with multiple employees, in a traditional escalating hand-off model. First, we discussed our interests and needs with Cheryl Semiz. We knew there were two cars on the lot that met our needs (<30k miles Subaru Outback, manual transmission), and she was prompt to get us in the car for an evaluation. When we got closer to a buying decision, she interfaced between us and Dennis McGuire. At the point in the process where we negotiated the price, Dennis came out and we discuss our expectations and their flexibility. Dennis was very honest and forthcoming; while negotiations are never the most enjoyable car-buying step, it was one of the best experiences I've had to date. Dennis stood out as a straight-shooter and I would work with him again in the future.After we agreed on a deal, we worked with Mathew DiPietro who finalized the paperwork and signed off on the deal. He was very easy to work with and it topped off the rest of our experience at Subaru World.In all, Subaru World provided a great experience. I ordered my WRX on July 8th, 2015. I was told the vehicle would take no longer than 8 weeks to come in. Exactly on the 8th week, I got a phone call from a salesman telling me that my car was built and being delivered. I then found out that he called me by mistake, and that my car had not even started to be built yet. Weeks go by and I called to see how the progress was, I was told that the car was built and that it'll be in soon. On 10/19/15, approximately 14 weeks since I ordered my car, I was told my vehicle came in. I was told my trade in vehicle's value depreciated $1,000 because the 2016's of that vehicle are out now. I could not understand how this was my fault? They could not help me understand this either. Apparently, when they give you a value on your car, in writing, they like to then give you less when your new car arrives. It's funny because if the WRX I ordered came in the time that they told me it would, there would not have been an issue with the pricing. This is the best part: I was told by my salesman that they would meet me halfway, and only depreciate the vehicle by $500. I asked to speak to Eric, the man who originally told me my trade in value 14 weeks ago. Eric told me they can't go anymore than $500 less than what they told originally told me. I said fine I'll go for it (only because of how much I wanted this WRX). The Finance Manager then comes over and offers me the trade in of $1,000 under what they originally told me! I was confused as my salesman and the sale manager said they'd meet me halfway? Weird, I know! I asked Eric "I thought you just told me you'd meet me halfway?" and he was lost for words. It's pretty funny how these guys are. Its sad that I put my trust in this dealership just to get scammed in the end. I love the car, it's all I could ask for. I couldn't wait to write a review on how happy I was with this dealer and vehicle when I picked it up, but things changed when they couldn't keep their word on a value I have in writing. If you are ordering a car, do not buy from this dealership. The vehicle will take twice as long as they say, and they won't consider following common customer service by keeping their word on the value of the car you are trading in.

I couldn't believe when I walked through the door and I recognized this young gentleman. This is one of the perks of being born and raised in Sussex County. You know many people. I was contemplating a used vehicle and Ryan Forbeck was very knowledgeable, personable and persistent. He was willing to speak with management to see if an item can be installed and they were more than happy to do it. He opened the hood of the vehicle and he was very thorough I thought. I decided not to buy the vehicle because my car is almost paid off but I will definitely go there next year and contemplate their crossover vehicles. He even showed me one of those. He treats his customers with respect and delivers his knowledge in an understandable and exciting fashion. I went to 4 other dealerships and he won my business because he deserved it on many levels. Buying my first car I didn't know what to expect. I had a feeling even though it would be an exciting experience that it would also be a long and painful process. I was right and wrong. First off the exciting part held true..both the dealership and the salesmen named Ryan kept it an exciting experience, he was very enthusiastic, knew what he was doing, was very professional, and went above and beyond of what the typical salesmen would do. 5+ stars to Ryan and the same to the dealership. Overall it was a great experience, better than what I saw from other dealerships/salesmen and I would NOT recommend going to any dealership other than Subaru World of Newton if you live in NJ. Ask for Ryan his service was WELL above the norm!

It is not worth the stop. Stereotypical car salesmen. Stopped in test drove 2, made a decision, but they had to find the right color combination. Forced to pay a deposit for them to find and transfer a vehicle there. (understandable) . They did not find the vehicle I wanted, I did. I called the other dealer verified the vehicle was available, it was so I called Subaru world back and told them of my findings. The dealer with the desired vehicle was offering $2000 in discounts. Sales manager told me that Newton dealership would not offer discounts because they wouldn't make any money. I was told it would be in my best interest to buy elsewhere. This coming from a sales manager (Eric) who works for the only dealership with STELLAR CARE as claimed in another online review. The check for my deposit cleared the bank the first business day after I wrote it, I still had not received my refund a week later. I stopped in got loud and asked for the owners name and threatened to sue,,,, Guess what my refund check was cut within 10 minutes of me leaving, but It had to be signed and would be mailed the next day. Where is the customer service??? I have read some of the reviews that are positive, unfortunately I recognize some of the names from emails sent from the dealership to me prior to my arrival. Sounds honest to me.... I finally found a reputable dealer about an hour and a half away from my home, bought the car I wanted and the sticker was less than Newton. My advise to anyone and everyone is to avoid this place. Very shady business dealings

This was my second purchase form Subaru World and I'm very happy I went there to purchase a replacement car for one that was totaled just a few days before. Although I wasn't shopping for a Subaru, I found exactly what I was looking for in a used Honda here and these guys made it all worth while. I had some of the top management stay WAY passed closing time on a Saturday to help me get back on the road and they were still honest, friendly and accommodating. I'd work again with Rod Rodriguez, Anthony Emerick and Jason Postel to get me into the car I need. I almost can't wait to be in the market for another car so I can visit these guys again! Oh, and thanks for the pizza, guys!

Extremely happy with the purchase and process of shopping for my new 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. Eric Abreau is a wonderful pleasure to worth with and made the car buying process very smooth and painless. There was no pressure to mark up the sale and close it. He was honest and worked hard to get me into a brand new compact SUV loaded with the features I wanted for a great price.

My experience with this dealership was very disappointing from beginning to end.When the salesman took me on the test drive, he explained the basics of the car and then during the drive he proceeded to look at his Iphone the entire time. Unless I asked a question, there was no dialog about other features of the car. He did not ask me any questions: Why I chose a Subaru, how I happened to come to that dealership, what I was looking for in my next car., etc. He did not appear very interest in the customer or even selling a car. I did like the car and then put down a deposit. I did not hear from the salesman until 3 weeks later. As a courtesy, I would have expected a call or e-mail the next day thanking me for my business.When the car was available on a Thursday, the salesman called me to see if I could pick it up that evening. I live an hour from the dealership (which he knew) and was not available until Saturday. At the time of the call, I asked him if I needed to bring anything when I picked up the car since I was also trading in a car. He said if there was, he would let me know. I did not hear from him until Saturday, an hour and before I was to pick up the car. He called and requested my social security number and another piece of information, both of which could have been obtained when I put down the deposit or anytime for a month & half while I was waiting for the car.When I picked up the car I informed the business manager of my dealings with the salesman and that I was less than impressed with him.A few days later I received a call from the salesman. He had forgotten to have me sign a certain document and he would mail it to me for my signature. When I received it, I immediately mailed it back.Six days before my temporary registration was to expire, I left a message for the salesman asking about the status of the registration. After not hearing from him for 3 days, I called the business manager and spoke to him directly. He said he would look into the matter. After, not hearing from him for 2 days, I left a message for both of them the day the registration expired. At 1 PM the salesman called and indicated that because there was a delay with the unsigned document, the registration was delayed. I told him I still wanted to speak to the business manager. When the business manager called me, I asked him about the delay. He did not know why it happened. I asked if the unsigned document was the problem. He said no. He had processed many registrations without that document available at the time of submission.I then left a message for the general manager since I still did not know why the registration was not available and apparently no one else did either.After not hearing from the general manager on a timely basis, I sent an e-mail to the business manager asking how I might get in touch with the dealerships owner.It was only under the threat of going to the boss did the general manager call me back. He apologized for everything. However, I told him I would still like to know when I was to receive the registration and why it was delayed.Five days after the temporary registration expired, I received the permanent one. However, I did not receive a certificate of title. I contacted the business manager who said they would send it to me when it was received. I still do not have it.Also, the general manager never called me regarding the reason for the registration delay.This dealership needs training from top to bottom on customer service and customer relations. In addition, it needs to establish written procedures and checklists for information and documents to be signed to finalize a purchase. Based on my experience, I almost felt like this was the first time this dealership ever sold a car. I am sure there are more competent dealerships in the area. PS. I love the car.

I am a repeat customer to Subaru World of Newton, with my latest purchase being the third for my household in the past few years. I traded in my car because we needed something a little larger and the whole experience from walking in the door to test-driving, pricing and signing was exceptional. Mauro was our sales person and I appreciated that he was relaxed during the test drive and answered any questions I had without me feeling like I was the recipient of a pushy sales pitch. The general manager, Rod, introduced himself and made sure everything was going smoothly.. Overall, any Subaru rep that we came in contact with throughout the experience was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. From the beginning to end of the car-buying process, I am a satisfied customer and walked out the door that same night with a brand new awesome Subaru. I would recommend this dealership to my friends/family and have done so in the past.Aside from my new purchase, I am also a repeat customer to the service department and am always happy with the service I receive, reasonable wait times, comfortable waiting area with coffee, etc. The reps at the counter are always friendly and take care of you quickly. Great experience all around!

Less than a year ago, we bought a Subaru 2014 Legacy from Subaru World of Newton. Because of an accident we had to replace it this week. It was an easy decision to purchase a 2015 Subaru Legacy, and an even easier decision to go back to Subaru World of Newton. Both times we had excellent experiences purchasing a new car. The prices are fair, and the experience is civilized. There's no pressure, and you don't have to be on your guard. Rod, Glenn, Pedro, and Anthony helped us find a car quickly that we wanted, negotiated a fair deal, and helped us resolved some financial issues so that the car could be purchased quickly.Also, I can tell you from experience the service department is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dave and Pat will take good care of you and your Subaru.

Dealer strung me along and when I was ready to buy they decided not to honor the True Car Price. They also tried to add shady up charges for VIN etching and $450 for NJ paperwork which is only $75 in NY.

I left Mr. Rodriguez three voice messages this week that went unanswered. I can only guess these got lost from the delete key. I am appalled! You say that your customer come first. I left two messages for Mr. Sawyer that also went unanswered. It was not until today, October 31, 2014, that I told your receptionist that I need to speak with one of you. Then I finally got Mr. Sawyer. I informed you Mr. Sawyer, that you deliver a message to Mr. Rodriguez. I expected a call back no later than 12 PM today. Again I guess that message was deleted also. I informed you that I will take the next step. This step is, contacting the NJ Department of Affairs, the NJ Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection, and Subaru Corporate Headquarters.Since you feel that the customer is only important at the TIME of the sale, and not AFTER, I am disgusted and appalled at your handling of problems. Being a military vetersn of ten years of active duty, I feel like I was taken advantage of. I was an aircraft mechanic of ten years, and I know how to work on a car. I was responsible for multi-million dollar aircraft. If I did not maintain them I could have killed a person. It appears to me that your dealersip only deals with making a buck and covering up MISTAKES!First. I found the car on NJ.com, and then I found it on your dealer website. In both places it stated that the mileage was 43500. Upon getting pictures from you, the dealership, it said 49500 miles. WOW a 4000 mile difference. Guess the workers there had a good time JOY RIDING! Well I over looked that as you have a disclaimer on your site. When I brought that to your attention, it was like, SO??Then you embarrassed me by saying 500 dollars for a trade on my 2003 VW. That was a SLAP in my face. I said NO I want 1500. Then you said the best you could do is 800. Again, SLAP!!!!!!!!!!!I get the car home and started to clean it the way I like a car cleaned and I discovered that the car had been painted in different areas. The roof is full of pit marks in the clear coat and two areas of rust on the roof. I discovered that the hood was painted, the rear bumper painted and damage to the rear bumper that was attempted to be repaired.I brought the car to your show room on October 20, 2014 and met with Mr. Foley and Pat. Pat took my information and the key. Well as I was outside I noticed the car was just sitting in the garage. Never on a lift, no mechanic around it, was it there collecting dust? Well Pat comes out to explain that the brake pads and rotors are within specification. He shows me a plastic tool that was colored green, yellow red orange. This is Subarus Wear Gauge for brakes. Well I know that I use a caliper to get an exact reading. I was floored by Pat's explanation. Well Mr. Foley was too busy trying to tape a box to go out FedEx. No approval needed!Pat told me that they would Resurface the brakes. Well in my day and present day, any GOOD mechanic mind, you NEVER resurface the brakes. You always change pads and rotors all new! Resurfacing can thin the rotors and any imperfection in the metal can cause cracks and lead to a failure of the disk or pads. Having lived in Germany for three years and understanding how they take care of the cars, I have never had rotors resurfaced in 35 years. Always new, every time. This is what I expected to hear. Just shows how lazy Mr. Foley is with his mechanics!I left your showroom and proceeded to a body shop. Not the shop that you took my car to called Hampton Body Works they are located a short distance down the road from you. No, I took it to an undisclosed shop I know and asked for a professional opinion. They confirmed to me that the car had been painted and confirmed the rust on and in the roof. He also pointed out the debris that was painted into the hood of my car. He said that the paint job was a Crappy job!Well I tried to call, Mr. Rodriguez on October 24, No answer. I called again on Monday October 27, October 29, October 30 and left detailed messages that got deleted because you did not want to talk to me. I left a message for Mr. Sawyer on October 29 and 30th asking to have my paper work mailed to me, and so I can discuss the issues with my car I called the receptionist on the 30th and asked to have it mailed to me and was told that it had to be approved. I then finally spoke with Mr. Sawyer after a 2 min hold, and he talked like I was a ghost. Then he had to go back in the memory to remember. I informed him of the calls all week and told him to deliver a message to Mr. Rodriguez, Call me about the damages to my car. I expected a call no later than 12PM October 31, 2014. On Saturday November 8, 2014 I went to your dealership. I spoke with you George, and I asked for answers to my concerns. You told me that you would address these concerns on Monday November 10, 2014. I told you that I would like answers by close of business November 14, 2014. You told me that you would have an answer that Monday. Before I went to your dealership, I went by the body shop that does work for you. Hampton Body works. I asked them about work that was done on my car, and the manager there said, I do not want to get involved. To me it sounds like a cover up. This is very disconcerting. Well since I never received a call back, or any kind of acknowledgment, I am forced to take the next step. I informed you during or talk that if I did not get an answer, I would take the next step. Below you will see who this letter will be sent to via USPS mail. I am going to get information as to what the NJ Lemon law is and the guidelines. I feel that this car is a possible flood victim. I know that the car was painted as there is a lot of evidence of this. I know that there was unreported damage which is evident.I feel I was taken by you, your dealership, sales person, and sales manager. I have given you ample time to respond. Since you refuse to respond to me, I am notifying the parties as I indicated.Mr. Rodriguez. I am beyond words on how you can say that you have these specialties. I recommend this Subaru Service Center and the Service Consultant David Benavente. David and the mechanics are really helpful. Every time I go there they go above and beyond to help you out. As long as I have my Subaru I will get my service done there.

I highly recommend this Subaru Service center and especially the Service Consultant David Benavente. David was very helpful as are all of the mechanics at Subaru World. They really try to get at at the bottom of any type of mechanical problem you may have even if it is a little complicated and intermittent. I also found that they do not recommend any unnecessary work even if you think that you need a repair that you do not need. There good work saved me from having to buy a new vehicle.. I have a 2004 Subaru Forester that has always been serviced at this shop and with service like this it will still be on the road for a long time.

I wanted to estimate a service plan for the maintenance work I was certain my 1999 Subaru needed. A friend convinced me that I should contact the professionals (Subaru Service Center) to have the assessment and work done right. I spoke to a Mr. Foley on the phone - who invited me to bring my car in for a complimentary multi-point inspection. I thought that was a very nice service option - so I used my lunch hour to drive over. What a waste of time. Mr. Foley was not there - so a David Benavente 'helped' me. David was rude and condesending - he made it quite clear I was wasting his valuable time. He answered my questions with "I don't know" .. after the assessment was performed - he said - 'here you go' and handed me a paper - no suggestions - no estimated pricing - no priority or mention of it something was perhaps a danger and needed immediate attention. The list included "check engine light" - did they think I did not know that? no code - so suggestion - no suggested repair - they did not check the code? What was the point of going there? When I looked at the paper and said "Well how much would these repairs cost".. again I got a condesending tone from Mr Benavente who began to rattle off a few prices ... this would be this, that would be about that.. and clearly he did not wish to waste his time helping me - I finally stated "you know what, you have been rude from the moment I walked here - I think you have wasted enough of my time" and I left. I don't even know if it needs a tune up? It loses about a quart of oil a month - so they recommended a $2000 head gasket change for a car that is 15 years old? really?? (of course he did not explain if there was a reason behind that suggestion...) I went in there expecting to schedule $1000 worth of maintenance - but I will find somewhere else to go...

This is my second time buying a Subaru Forrester and after being mislead by two different dealerships my husband and I traveled out to Newton to see if we could find me a car. We were thrilled when we walked in and spotted Rod, who helped me purchase my first Subaru. Rod gave us a fair price right off the bat - no haggling, no trouble - and found me the car I wanted in the color I wanted (something two other dealers were unable to do at my price point). Rod was so incredibly helpful. My car even arrived sooner than he originally expected. I couldn't be happier!

my initial contact was with Catherine Uttal at Subaru of Newton. In April 2014 I was looking for a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek with a moonroof. I was in formed that they did not have any in stock with a moonroof. I was offered severl anon-moonroof cars, but that was not what I wanted.I was then contacted by Chris Falvey at the dealership with the same story, no moonroof cars were available. A few weeks later I got an email from the Sales Manager Rod Rodriguez. He promised that they were getting in a shipment of cars some that had moonroofs. He said they would be in by the end of the month.It is now June 2014 and they still have not informed me of any moonroof cars in stock. So I went to another dealer and purchased the car, it seems Subaru of Newton was just not interested in my business.

I was considering purchasing a used Subaru from this dealership. On the first visit, they could not find the car, then they found the car but no keys for it. On the second visit, we were told that car had sold (although days later, it was still there). We still gave them the benefit of the doubt and wanted to test drive another used Subaru. It was late and we decided to come back the next day during the daylight for the test drive. It was suggested by the sales person that we leave a deposit. I left a check for $100.00, with the understanding that my check would be returned to me if we did not buy the car. Alternatively, it would be used toward the purchase if we did buy it. An offer was made for the trade in value of our current vehicle, and a negotiated price was offered for the car they had on the lot. We decided not to take the offer and called the following day. We spoke to the manager and said we would be in one day later to pick up our check, and he said that would be fine. Upon arriving at the dealership, we were told our check had been cashed and they would have to request a check be sent to us from the corporate office, We were also told it would take 10-14 days for us to get the check in the mail. Our check was written to them on March 27, 2014, and cashed through our account on March 31. It is now April 16 and we still have no check. Multiple calls have been placed with the dealership, always prompting promises of a call back with a time frame, which never happens.I feel I have been patient enough with this dealership, and so have written this review. I was hoping this experience was going to be different from past dealer experiences (non-Subaru dealers), but I was sadly mistaken. Very disappointed.

Went online to see if a could secure a good deal on 2015 Subaru Forester Limited. I first got a great quote from Ramsey Subaru sale rep. Alex Petrushin. I was then contacted Caitlin B and was told that her dealership would beat any price up to $500 We negotiated that I would come in and sign for $500 off toll, $1000 for a trade in and remote start. She informed me to have proof of the quote from Ramsey Subaru, which I emailed her. It was a deal we agree to and I went in to sign the papers. When I got to Newton World of Subaru I met Caitlin and she had Sales Representative Roger Homer start the paper work. When Roger came back from the manager, the price was $1500 more then agree too. Roger tried to twist the quote from Ramsey Subaru, but told him I was out of there. As I walked to my car the manager Chris (threw his card away for wasting my time) and said the $1500 offer over what I was quoted at Ramsey Subaru would stand when Alex renege on the deal. Well Chris..... Alex gave me the deal he quoted me at. People... look at all the reviews and you'll see why Newton is the lowest and Ramsey Subaru is the highest.

very sad how people are treated here, after wasting 2 hours of my time they tell me they won't take a penny off the sticker price then tell me even though my trade in was worth more than the Kelly Blue Book appraisal that tell would give me $3000 less and that if I didn't like it to go elsewhere. every thing has to be discussed with the manager, you can do much better elsewhere

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had! Eric Abreu was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! He did not pressure me at all and made my experience very positive and easy! By far the best salesman I have ever worked with! I would recommend him and this dealership to anyone! The GM Chris Adams was very nice, helpful and easy to work with! Frank Angelillo, in the finance department, really worked with me to get my payments exactly where I needed them!

My experience at SUBARU WORLD OF NEWTON, was phenomenal! My consultant, Caitlin, was very attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Frank, another sales consultant came to greet me during the purchase process. Frank was also wonderful! the best experience I've had at a dealership. The finance manager Les was very prompt, and efficient, he made the paperwork quick and painless. Overall, Subaru world of newton gets a TEN in my book! KUDOS!

Vincent was a pleasure to work with from the moment he introduced himself in the parking lot until we drove out with our car the very next day. He was able to answer all the questions we had and gave us a ton of confidence that they would get the financing we needed even though we didn't have the best credit rating. I walked into the dealer to check out the new Crosstrek but was concerned that I couldn't get one within my budget. I looked around and test drove everything but the Crosstrek because of my concerns and ended up choosing a used Forrester. I was terribly unhappy because it was not what I really wanted and after 2 with the Forrester I spoke to Frank. Frank, Chris and Les seriously bent over backwards to get me into the car of my dreams and stay within my budget. They had to find the car for me! My husband and I were looking for a used vehicle for our 17 year old daughter. We looked at several dealerships around the Hackettstown/Newton area and couldn't find anything we liked. Online, we found what we wanted and Subaru World of Newton arranged for the car to be delivered the next day to their location. It was Frank Angelillo who arranged for the car to be delivered and he immediately had the vehicle cleaned and ready for our early arrival to view our potential purchase. Frank was extremely personable and his low keyed approach was extremely refreshing. I have dealt with many sales people over the years in the car business and I found him to be a "gem." He presented himself as an honest individual working for you to get the best possible deal. While, arranging for this purchase for my daughter, I had the opportunity to wander around and look at the Subaru lines of cars. I most most impressed with these vehicles and again, Frank was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Because of this experience, my husband and I would definitely consider purchasing a Subaru from this dealership and specifically from Frank. His friendly demeanour and low keyed approach made our purchasing experience great. There was no hassling over the price or high pressure sales. The sales manager, Christopher J. Adams runs a great dealership. Everyone in this facility is friendly and outgoing. Well worth the trip if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.

I had no intention to buy a Subaru when we went for a test drive but Justine and Eric were so helpful I was sold right away. I test drive the Forster and I was very impress with the ride, it took the turns smoothly, very good over potholes . I am extremely happy with my purchase. I highly recommend Subaru. I am a Subaru buyer for life.

Purchasing a new car is sometimes stressful. We found Andrew to be honest, and not at all pushy. He tried to keep us within our budget. Each person we worked with as the transaction was being processed, was courteous and efficient. It was an overall good experience for two people who don't go car shopping very often. We would recommend the dealership to our friends.

SubaruWorld of Newton makes buying and servicing a car a "family" experience. Salesman, Steve Jimenez, and managers, I believe Gus (?) and financial manager (can't remember name) were helpful, professional, and courteous. We began our purchase online with Jennifer Reilly (?) and she was terrific.Service was also great. Don't remember serviceman who helped us with Remote Start issues, but he was patient, professional, helpful and courteous.This is our third Subaru, and we're hooked. Love the car and the dealership, and they're only a short drive from my house.

I dont know anybody who likes car shopping. I had been putting it off for a while, occasionally popping into dealerships to test drive different models. I knew eventually Id have to make a decision, but I didnt want to feel pressured into purchasing something I didnt want. I walked into Subaru World of Newton and met with Justine. I had never driven a Subaru before and knew little about the brand. I drove home my new 2013 Subaru Outback last Saturday and I could not be any happier!! Justine was so easy and accommodating, taking her time to find just the right fit for me and then going out of her way to make it all work within my budget. I would recommend anyone to go to Subaru World of Newton. Thank you for making an experience I was dreading into one Ill never forget!!

I was nervous about replacing my car because I'm a bit sentimental. I was also a bit wary remembering my previous experience looking for a car. When I walked into the dealership, I was quickly put at ease. I was greeted almost immediately and I was actually offered coffee as my salesperson discussed what vehicle would fit my active lifestlye. I couldn't have been happier with my experience and I'm so excited that I have now a new vehicle that I have already grown attached to even more than the one I traded in.

Frank, Chris and Les were all friendly, helpful and accommodating when I came to pick up my vehicle. They worked as a team and allotted me ample time to go over every aspect of the purchase. There had been a recall on the floor mats, and they were on back order, however, I really wanted the all weather mats and I offered to pay the up charge. They gave me the mats for no additional cost. At the time I ordered the car, early April, they were offering 1 year of oil changes (3 changes), but since I took delivery May 11th, that promotion was no longer being offered. I asked to be included in the oil change promotion since I ordered the vehicle in April and Chris Adams (Sales Manager) said he would see what he could do. I don't think I was home for an hour when Chris called and said he had set it up with the service department to include my car in the oil change promotion. These guys were great to work with; I felt they were very straightforward in the info they provided and were fair. This is not your typical dealership, they are looking to build relationships with their customers. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend you go talk to them.

We purchased a Subaru Outback from Justine at Subaru World of Newton in Newton, NJ. She was, by far, the best salesperson I have ever dealt with. She was not only knowledgeable and has such a wonderful personality but when it came to negotiating the price she was amazing! The entire team was fantastic, and the experience was superior. I am extremely pleased with my new Subaru and the entire experience of purchasing it.

I began my search for my new 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek 5 speed online as many shoppers do. I found that in the state of NJ only about 3 dealers had ONE of these models in their incoming inventory. I located Subaru World of Newton through Subaru.com by searching dealer inventories. The bulk of my contact was with Mike Ventola (internet sales). Mike responded back quickly and thoroughly to all my questions about the availability and discountability of the vehicle. He was very direct and transparent in his answers and it was hugely appreciated, he never put up a smoke screen. We were even able to establish my trade in value by correspondence online and through including of photos and documentation of my trade. Once the purchase and trade values were established, Mike sent me, at my request, a detailed breakdown of any and all fees expected in the purchase. When the actual sale date came around Mike, Steve, and Les were all gentlemen throughout the purchase, the fees never wavered from their initial emailed breakdown, was exact to the penny. There was no high pressure, pushy sales tactics, just a simple transaction. Subaru was having shipping problems getting the vehicle to the dealership before the end of the month to qualify for the special financing, so the General Manager and Sales Manager stepped in, really got onto Subaru's regional about the delivery problem and within 30 minutes the car was going to arrive as scheduled. Subaru World of Newton really made this my easiest purchase of a vehicle ever! All of the hard work was done well in advance and everyone (from the Management to Salesman) stuck to their word and went above and beyond to make sure it happened on time. A true rarity in the car buying world. I'd recommend anyone purchasing a Subaru to check out Subaru World of Newton, I wasn't a local buyer to Newton, NJ, so if not for their great internet department I'd have had a hard time justifying the 4+ hour round trip to get my car. But their honesty and unwavering attitude to make their customers happy gave me the confidence to make the trip and I'm SO GLAD I DID. I got a great price on a great price from a super dealership.

Buyer Beware, after you negotiate price of car review contract very closey and don't make the same mistake I did.After reviewing when I got home I saw ridiculous add-ons and fees that were never disclosed or explained to me in advance.A total of $798 added on for things like $79 computer time, REALLY? Also $175 Clerical Expense, $195 Administrative Fee and $349 for Anti Theft Window Etching. This behavior is appolling.

I never leave reviews but after the experience my wife and I had we felt it was the right thing to do. I've brought a lot of cars in the past but never had I ever had such a well knowledge and such a professional salesmen such as Omar. He made us feel very comfortable spending our hard earn money with him. He worked out everything from the price to color we wanted , and trade in without the games that dealers play. I would be seeing omar in the next few months to buy another Subaru 5 stars to him and the dealership.

I must Start by saying Friday December 14th was my first experience in trying to aquire a NEW car! My hubby and I started out a by sending an enqiery on the internet and Subaruworldnewton called us first, however a second call came in which was about 5 minutes from my home in the Pocono... we live 45 minutes from Newton with a toddler... I really didn't want to drive all that way to Newton so we chose to go the dealer in town; and BOY! were we Wrong!!! we were there for over 4 hours with my little 2 1/2 year old all day trying to get my 2013 Subaru Outback, ( the manager came he went on his cigarette breaks!...NEVER did he one time greet me my husband or my baby) The sales person was ok but; I wanted a specific color Caramel Bronz which they kept trying to tell me was imposible because it was not a popular color so they didn't have it and didn't think they could get it for me and also that I shouldn't try to get it from anyone else because I wasn't going to find it! WE MADE A DOWNPAYMENT BUT WENT IN SEARCH BECAUSE THEY GAVE US THE IMPRESSION THEY WOULD TRY TO GET THE CAR (BUT THEY STILL MADE US FEEL HOPELESS) HENCE WE ENDED UP IN NJ.This started at 11am WITH THE FIRST DEALER... at about 5:15 pm we were on our way to Newton after talking to Michael Superti on the phone he said come and we can find your car! got there (a) Michael Ventola (Internet manager) greeted us with a hugh warm smile,invited us in our little trooper was fast asleep by this time being out all day. They actually offered me a nice sofa to spread a blanket to lay the baby down (THIS WAS GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE FOR YOU) and got to work with us,then(Michael Superti) our sales presentative took us; did our paperwork in LESS than 2 1/2 hours the branch manager and a few other came introduces themselves thanked us for our business and we were on our way home with my 2013 Subaru Outback CARAMEL BRONZ! thats my car. the atmosphere was very welcoming the staff was very very pleasant and helpful. I AM VERY VERY HAPPY WE WENT AFTER ALL. I MOST DEFINATLY AM GIVING THEM MY 5 STARS WILL BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET A CAR THEY WILL GIVE YOU GREAT SERVICE AND YOU WILL FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU ARE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THIS IS THE WAY YOU EXPECT TO BE SHOWN APPRECIATION!!EVERYONE RUN TO SUBARUWORLDNEWTON IT UNDER NEW MANAGMENT AND THEY ARE THE BEST!

I recently bought a new 2013 Subaru Outback at Subaru World and it was such a great experience. The salesman Mike was great and Greg the manager was very helpful. They really did whatever they could to make the process painless for me.

Omar was great. No sleazy sales gimmicks. He gave us a figure and stuck with it (inlcuding our trade in). Les closed the deal and we were in and out in a matter of hours with a new car.

Agreed to a price for a 2012 Impreza, and a price for the my trade in. After a long string of signing documents in the Finance office, and the sticker from my car disappeared, the contract "price of unit" on the car rose approx. $1000 over the sticker price. BUYER BEWARE, Make sure you see your contract before signing any other docs, first.

The day started off driving through the parking lot of the dealership looking for a used car that would get good mpg, we found a 2010 mini cooper that both my wife and I felt would be great. We worked with the salesman Matt who was very polite and pleasant. We had the back and forth price discussion for a short while and we agreed on a price and the deal was sealed with a hand shake from the sales Manger Tom Moffitt and the salesman. We took the car and drove off very pleased. There was a little confusion about the loan terms when we were finishing up the deal. Tom Moffit stayed involved with the deal and all was worked out and we were pleased. Tom Moffit is a sales manager with integrity and whom I respect. He went out of his way to ensure we were 100% satisfied, which we are. Thank you Tom Moffit !

Came to get my remote starter installed - service was prompt and clean - the guys here are such pro's... While I was here (and after I picked up) the Manager checked in to make sure everything was just right. He even took the time to show me some cool new features of the remote starting (not your dad's remote starter!)

I just purchased two brand new cars from Subaru World of Newton. I have to say that at no time did I find that the salepeople were not helpful.The person I worked with was named Steve. His boss and other co-workers were just as helpful and did everything to make me and my husband have a great experience. I am sorry to read some of the reviews that were written saying they has bad experiences, as there are always two sides to a story, as in some cases things do happen and can be fixed. I would recommend anyone to stop and meet the salesmen and shop around, as you will find great prices and most of all friendly to work with. Thanks again Steve and to you all at Subaru World.

I had the worst experience with Subaru World of Newton. I'll try to be brief:- I ordered a car through the VIP program on a Saturday. Tom said it would be ordered during the week. It wasn't. The next Friday, I began calling to inquire - no response. It took more than half a week to finally receive a call back from our salesperson, Terrel, who said they hadn't ordered it because they found what I wanted. It was virtually impossible. I had checked the inventory of every dealership within 1,000 miles and, what's more, he said it had over 2,000 miles. I declined and requested that he order what I asked for.- I was NEVER able to contact Terrel or Tom. I'd either leave a message with the receptionist or on their voicemail and almost never received calls back. Subaru of America had to intervene for us to receive any information at all. When they did intervene, Tom lied to them and told them the car was ordered the day I came in and that he didn't know I was a VIP. Mind you, he gave me a small speech about how they wanted to make sure they treated me exceptionally well because of that status. If this is VIP treatment, how is everyone else getting treated? Are they getting verbally assaulted? After I e-mailed him to point out his errors (i.e., lies), I never heard from him again.- After SoA intervened, Terrel told me he'd keep me updated on the status of my car. Weeks passed and I didn't hear anything until the day my car arrived and Joe Bertone called. I wasn't surprised - Terrel had been awful with communication.- When I went to take delivery, I discovered that they had placed both a dealer sticker and pinstriping on my car. I told them explicitly the day I ordered the car, through an e-mail and over the phone with Tom Moffit that I didn't want a dealer sticker or pinstriping. But there it was. I told them to remove it. They also added rubber door guards (the rubber that lines the edges of the doors), which I asked them to remove as well. This made me furious though, honestly, I wasn't surprised. They had been painfully incompetent and I was actually expecting this. Now, the reason why I was so explicit about not adding the stickers was because I was worried that if they removed them, they'd scratch the car. They did. There are countless scratches all along the sides of my car where the pinstriping was. It made me wonder if they were using fine-grained sandpaper instead of a cloth towel. Unfortunately, I didn't catch this until I arrived home when I could see the car in the sunlight. Shame.- Because they had to remove the stickers and the door guards, I had to wait an extra hour before I could finish taking delivery. The person who took us through the paperwork was Joe Berton. He took over for Tom Moffit. Prior to my arrival, Bertone had called at least 15 times to ask for different information that was required on the paper. It was incredibly unprofessional. These calls would take place in a row. He should've made a max of two calls - one with a bulk of the questions and the second with anything he may have missed. It was like they'd never sold a car before.- Joe Bertone tried to charge me $349 for VIN etching, something they had, apparently, already added to the car. I was outraged. By putting a deposit on the car, I had essentially purchased it. They had no right to add anything without my permission. He said it was a value pack. I said it was a scam. When I dug my heels in about it, he begrudgingly removed the cost. There were other fees as well that were totally unnecessary and only serve to increase their profit. I decided not to fight him about them. I was tired and I just wanted to go home.- After I arrived home, I removed their license plate frames from my car almost immediately. I didn't want to advertise for them. I loathed them. I ended up finding two extra holes in my front bumper; they were right above the stock holes. So, basically, the person who was installing the license plate frame decided they were too lazy to use the existing holes. After all, it takes a lot of effort to match up screws to holes. They thought they'd just go ahead and make new ones. Unacceptable. Because I planned to move to PA, a state that doesn't require a front plate, I'd eventually want to cover up the holes and covering up four is a lot harder than covering up two.- Also, though this isn't as big of a deal, they told me that my car arrived with 3 miles and that I should be receiving it with 5. The car ended up having 10 miles on it, which makes me wonder what they were doing to have racked up those miles in less than 24 hours. Had they not said I should be getting it with 5, I'd have assumed that the detailer they use is kind of far. Clearly, that isn't the case. Furthermore, they charged me $65 for a full tank of gas, which was heavily diluted. I was only able to average 20mpg on it. After I emptied out the tank and got gas, though, I averaged 32mpg.Don't waste your time with this dealership and certainly don't give them your money. I'd stay as far away from them as possible.

Was told a price for my trade prior to discussing new car. Trade price was far less the following day. Was given a price for a new car by the salesman was ready to buy, however sales manager said he wouldn't sell it for that price. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I made an appointment and brought my car in for a four wheel alignment. The service manager estimated it would take about 1.5 hours to complete. When 1.5 hours rolled around the service manager called me over and informed me that my car could not be aligned. When he brought me out to the shop I expected to be shown a cracked frame or something along those lines but he pointed at the nuts and stated that the tech could not loosen them. He stated that if I could loosen the nuts for them then they would align the car when I brought it back. Additionally, the service manager gave me an estimated invoice for $255 worth of parts that "needed" to be replaced that were unrelated to the alignment. These parts included components of the rear drum brakes which could not have been checked as the rear wheels were not removed. I have waited on hold with Subaru Corporate for several hours and sent multiple complaints to Subaru Corporate about this event with no responses to date. I was contacted by the dealer as a result of this review and they stated that they were sorry and that a poor choice was made although it may not have been intentional. I ended up bringing the car to a shop down the street and they had no problem loosening the nuts or aligning the car.
