The Suburban Subaru dealer was clean and simple. We felt very welcomed and equally as important as any customer, unlike some of the larger dealerships where we felt part of a conveyor line. I have not shopped for a new car in over 15 years, I have never owned a Subaru and I have never leased a vehicle, either. But I found a great salesman, Mike Guido. He was most accommodating and patient. Mike never pressured me with sales talk, but spent a lot of time answering my questions and walking me through the process. Even when, at first, I misunderstood the down payment options so that the paperwork needed a quick re-do, Mike still made it happen: I drove home that same afternoon with my new Subaru!

Two weeks ago, my son, Pete and I went looking at used cars for him. He had narrowed down his choice to a handful of nameplates, and I encouraged him to look into Subaru first. We met Michael Guido, who listened carefully to the parameters Peter set out - price, size, his driving style, etc. Mike made a few suggestions, and the one that really lit my son up was a 2013 Crosstrek in HIS favorite shade of blue. As soon as he drove it off the lot onto Maplelawn, I knew he was hooked. There was no need to test drive any other vehicles. Mike worked hard to find appropriate financing for my son, suggestion several options, and was very helpful in getting Pete everything he needed to close the deal and be happy with his new car. At no time did Mike apply any pressure, was not pushy nor was he impatient. I've owned two Subarus over the years, but am currently leasing another nameplate. I'm thinking of flipping to an Outback, and I know right where I'll go. I recommend Mike and Suburban Subaru highly!

I had leased my previous Subaru, the Crosstrek, from this dealer before and worked with salesperson Dustin Ciccarelli. Dustin and this entire dealership are fantastic to work with. They make the entire buying process easy and not at all a chore to get through. Plus, working with them I know I get the best deal as they are open and honest about everything. We had a hassle-free buying experience. It was a straightforward cash purchase of a used vehicle. We set up a test drive appointment online, were greeted immediately upon arrival and the vehicle was quickly made ready for us. My only minor complaint is that we had to sit and wait for about 90 minutes while the paperwork was processed, but I'll chalk that up to a busy Saturday in the back office.

Bob in service educated me and taught me the value of what's actually needed and recommended that other auto repair shops would not now.Example, Transmission Flush at 30K, special tool needed, most shops don't have this, the dealer must do this.on 1-19 I came in for a blown fuse that was 4K miles out of warranty, Bob still did this free at NC.I came back for the trans mission flush on 1-22.Thanks Bob

I had a great experience with this dealership. I was looking for a used 2014 Subaru Outback, and found the exact car I wanted at this dealership through the Cars.com website. Suburban Imports had this car advertised at a price thousands less than what I had seen for similar models elsewhere. There were only a few slightly used Outback 3.6R models that I could find within 150 miles, so I was willing to drive a few hours to get to the dealership. Because I couldn't get to the dealership until the end of the week, their internet person Shira, and their salesperson, Dustin Ciccarelli, really put me at ease by offering to hold the car for me until I could find the time to get over to their dealership. On the morning we got to the dealership, Dustin had the car all ready to go for us to take on the test drive. He was courteous and helpful, and knowing we had a 2 hour drive home ahead of us, he didn't waste our time. At no time did we feel pressured by anyone at the dealership. In the end, I got the car I wanted at a great price and with no hassle. I had a few questions in the days after the purchase, and Dustin responded quickly to address my questions. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Very helpful staff, no pressure to purchase, upfront and open. These are just a few qualities I witnessed when buying a wholesale vehicle, meaning it was probably the lowest sale of the day but we were treated like any other customer. Our sales man Joe was friendly, helpful in-addition to what I have already mentioned. I would recommend this salesman and dealer everyday. Not everyone can buy a new car and to be treated with respect and feel as important as anyone else in the showroom felt great.

I recently purchased a 2013 VW Jetta from Suburban Imports of Troy. I had done my homework and arrived there expecting to get the most for my money. That's just what happened, they offered the lowest price because they do a broad market for prices of each particcular vehicle. They then strive to set the prices at the lowest end. It was no haggle, no headaches and no pressure. I came with pre-approved financing and they were able to get me a loan that cut my interest rate in half. There were a couple of minor issues with the car I didn't discover until after the sale but they eagerly and quickly fixed them. Much thanks to Rob, my sales agent and Joe in finance for making this experience painless.

Our great experience with Suburban Subaru started 3 years ago when we bought our used Forester through Dustin Ciccarelli. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient sales consultant. He was professional but friendly and helpful in every way. He is truly a people person, always had a smile and just a nice guy. He provided direction in areas we needed and respected our decisions. We will definitely go back to him there or find him for cars in the future. We bought a 2 year maintenance plan and were so pleased with the service that we continued to go there this past year for service too. We have always received prompt, courteous attention from the service consultants also. The last service consultant, Derek Anglewicz, is the epitome of the word service. I leased my 2009 Jetta and then three years later purchased it. During the lease and since buying my car, I have always had the most courteous, professional and meticulous service provided by the staff. I usually talk to Amir when scheduling an appointment, but Chris and all the people who work there could not be more gracious and helpful. Everything is explained as to what needs to be done for maintenance. I truly feel that the service department is not only looking out for the continued efficiency of my car but my safety. I cannot imagine having better service anywhere else.

I live almost two hours away from Suburban Subaru, but 1 year ago we found a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Subaru Forrester online that we liked at an excellent price. I was skeptical that the price was "too good" and there must be some flaw with the car. The salesman, Dino Ciccarelli, assured me that I would not be disappointed and I even gave him a deposit over the phone. When we arrived a few days later to pick it up the car was in excellent condition as promised. However their were a couple of minor touch-ups that were needed. Unfortunately the person who handles that was not available that day, but Dino promised me that when I brought the car in for the first free oil change he would arrange to have the other details fixed as well. Due to the distance, it was nearly a full year before I was able to return, but the dealership was true to their word and fixed all items along with giving me my free oil change. They even fixed a couple of other minor dings. I was extremely pleased with the quality good deal and good service I received from Suburban Subaru.

I was taken care of right away, very friendly service people. The estimate I was given for the time required for repairs was right on target. Everything that needed to be done - was, and very efficiently. Receipt was self explanatory. And car was washed and ready to go Plus I was able to watch a movie and drink some coffee while waiting - Had I known there were areas for computer usage I would have taken my laptop with me - I'll know for the future. Everything was nice and clean as well - very comfortable.

I came in and told Brian Plauman what I wanted. He did a search, found the car I was looking for, and gave me a fair price (below every other dealership I had checked with, which were several). When I made the decision to purchase the car the vehicle I was interested in was no longer available, however they found another vehicle I was also happy with, got the vehicle delivered to the dealership promptly, and had it ready for me to drive off the lot in no time. All in all one of the best experiences I've ever had purchasing a car. I appreciated that they were straightforward and honest throughout the process. It was also nice of James Cagle to come over and say hello and introduce himself. Both gentlemen are the definition of professional.

I have continued to take my Subaru Forester there even after my two year maintenance plan ran out because of the outstanding service I receive. The friendly and helpful salesman, Dustin, still remembers who I am and what car I bought almost 3 years ago, The guys and gals scheduling the appointments are helpful and accommodating to my schedule. When I arrive, I am taken promptly with a smile and treated courteously. I am kept posted on the progress of my service while I wait. I always receive my vehicle back washed with seats and mirrors in the positiion I left them and the radio is not blaring with some station I don't even listen to. They do a great job ! I have never been treated better anywhere else and don't plan on going anywhere else either.

I love everyone at Suburban VW of Troy! For my most recent visit I had the pleasure of being hosted by Jeff and Derek of the Service department. Jeff booked my appointment, listening to my concerns with a dash of humor while remaining top-notch and professional! He offered appointment times that catered to my schedule. I easily got an appointment on my next day off. When I pulled in for check-in Derek greeted me with an enthusiastic smile and escorted me to the office logging in the extra details about my profile and courtesy inspection. Derek really gave the red carpet treatment with not only making sure that I was aware of the entire process and everything involved, but also ensuring that I was aware of my options. To top it off Derek even had my car washed for me!! I wouldn't trust my little GTI to anyone else!

Suburban Nissan was packed with buyers the day we went. Now we know why! We had looked at 4 different dealer lots, and more than 50 ads. Suburban Nissan BEAT the best price we found anywhere else. We purchased a used van so beautifully detailed it looked brand new, and they even replaced a missing remote and headsets for the DVD. Jenna Garrison had the patience to assist us in comparing different vehicles and trims and to make available any vehicle we decided to test drive. Being in a more difficult buyer situation due to our Working Visa Jenna assured us the Dealership would do everything possible to obtain a loan to finance the vehicle and not a lease, that we were offered in most other places; and they did. We especially liked the touch-screen monitor on the dealership floor that made possible an accurate comparison across vehicles, trims and prices. We also loved the pricing transparency. I was nearing the end of a lease on a 2012 Nissan Sentra and was bringing it in for a small noise which had developed. Jermaine Phill came to greet me in the waiting area and asked me to come look at some numbers on options. The most important fact was this: he listened to me and let me reason out and ask for what my needs were. Instead of leasing another car Jermaine worked out a financing on a 2014 Sentra at same monthly payment I have now and it will be paid off a year before I retire. Plus I really like the car - solid, ECO means better gas mileage, seats are more comfortable and overall a really nice vehicle. I have been going to this dealership for 4 years and they continue to be professional, courteous and above board. Jermaine was respectful, answered all my questions and I left feeling I had made a good investment.

After having my vehicle stolen and a long month of waiting to buy a new car, driving rentals, etc., I didn't think twice about choosing Suburban VW - even though there are dealerships closer to both work and home, as the Suburban dealerships have always been outstanding. This visit was no exception. My Sales Consultant, Karl Trost provided an honest, informative and no-pressure experience. Karl was both professional and refreshing to work with, as well as knowledgeable. He took the time to learn my needs and provided me with choices that fit them. The Sales Manager, Matthew Griffith presented all financing options and what was needed in a prompt, clear and concise manner; and went a step above to make everything as seamless as possible. I chose the Passat Wolfsburg Edition, and never once did I feel pressured into any one particular model as you oftentimes do by a dealership. I love the vehicle, and coming from a Volvo and an Audi which were both great cars; the Passat provides excellent performance and build quality, and a great value. I've only had my new Passat for a couple of days, however all of my previous VW's have been excellent cars throughout the entire ownership experience. I have a slight issue with the driver's seat (no fault of the vehicle or the dealership - I'll provide a brief update once resolved) however my past experience with the Suburban dealers leave me with full confidence that they will work with me to correct my concern. I would highly recommend any of the VW models. Most importantly for those who 'dread' the back and forth haggling found in many dealerships; Suburban VW along with Karl and Matthew will make your buying or leasing experience an actual pleasant one. So if you're like me and simply want a dealership and Sales staff that provides a down to earth, up front and overall great experience - one where you don't drive off in your new car stressed or questioning everything, I'd highly recommend Suburban and both Karl and Matthew.

Karl Trost is not only charming and handsome, but he was a tremendous entertainer to our 4-yr old while my husband and I were signing papers!! In all seriousness, Karl lets the cars sell themselves, and opens up opportunities when you think there are none. He was incredibly communicative and delivered on every promise, including finding the exact hard-to-find vehicle we were looking for. We have bought 2 vehicles from Suburban VW, and will continue to do so because Suburban runs a really terrific shop. It started with sitting down with Che Shaydak, Sales Manager, who found the perfect car to Jermaine Phill finalizing everything and sending me away in my new perfect car. Jermaine was wonderful to work with, explained everything and made sure I understood. He was also funny and easy going. Which was awesome! The icing on the cake was how kind he was to my six year old. I can't say enough about the entire staff at Suburban Nissan. I can tell you - you'd be a fool not to ask to work with Jermaine and Che. I just lease a new MAZDA CX-5 three weeks ago because I diligent made a search about what car to lease. The MAZDA CX-5 was on top over all the SUVs in the market right now. That was the reason I decided to visit this dealer at Maplelawn in Troy... I must say, my experience as a client has been very disappointment I dont feel they (specially my sales agent) take me seriously. He doesnt return my calls, doesnt reply urgent emails and promises things he doesnt do awful service. Period. If I would knew this would it happened to me, obviously I would chose HONDA instead (where my last experiences there has always been awesome!) but I wanted a change but WHAT PATETIC CHANGE!

Our son was moving to Michigan to work and live for the next 4 years. We need to purchse a vehicle for his move and found a low milage pre-owned vehicle that was close to our budget. Speaking to Rob Risse over the phone from Canada we found him to be very professional. He took the time to provide all the details we needed to purchase the vehicle. He was extremely helpful and never rushed us or pressured us to complete the sale.We were at the same time dealing with several other dealerships in Michigan looking at similar vehicles. I found the other dealership vey pushy to complete the sale and also less informed about the products they were selling. Rob made the whole buying experience very stress free. We wired the money over and the vehicle was waiting for us when we arrived. The professional service we reiceved from Suburban Nissan of Troy was top class, Rob's was professional, attentive, and response. I would give this dealership 6 star out of 5 and would say if your looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle, Don't waste your time going anywhere else. !

I setup a test drive for a used car using cars.com, and the sales agent was prompt to email me and confirm a time and date for my test drive. When something came up the day before my test drive I emailed her to ask about moving the time back. The saleswoman told me "we're not open on Sunday, but that car had already been sold the previous week" Not cool. I replied back stating my displeasure, but received no reply. I called to personally let her know that the service quality was, well, lacking, and her response was "well I would've called you later today anyway" Awful service, and even when presented with a chance to apologize the sales agent took the low road.

I inquired twice about a Toyota MR2 that was for sale. I never got a response from the dealer so I called and was left on "hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. The MR2 that was listed stated that it had a manual 5 speed but it was obvious from the pictures that the trans was not a manual.

I have never been pressured regarding service of my vehicle. The advisors, Melanie and Chris, are so respectful and knowledgeable about needed and/or recommended service and neither one has ever pressured me into anything regarding repairs and/or service. They advised me and let me make the choice. I have never been treated disrespectfully and as far as any of the employees that work in the service department, I can't say enough good things about all of them. Although they should have cookies and snacks in the waiting room if a person chooses to wait for their car. :}

I felt they were honest and upfront about what I was buying. For someone not knowledgable or experienced in purchasing cars, this is a great place, as their patience and honesty are appreciated. When my girlfriend and I recently visited Suburban VW of Troy we were treated with nothing but class from Christina Tomasino and her entire staff. Not only was everyone we dealt with friendly but they were knowledgeable, as well. Christina, in particular, made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. At no point did we feel like she didn't have our best interest in mind. We were able to test drive a few different models and came away impressed with the VW lineup in general. Needless to say we walked out of the dealership that day with a brand new Jetta SE and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Suburban VW of Troy for such an awesome experience!

I emailed at night and the next morning at 815 am I had a response email. a Staff member called an hour later to answer any questions we might have and to schedule a test drive. We traveled over 70 miles to their store and were impressed by the staff. We love our new car and Would again drive for another car from them!

I am not too sure why there are negative reviews about this dealership. I was greeted with respect as soon as I had entered the building. I was helped immediately by a sales representative names Tom. I had told him which car I was interested in buying. Without wasting any of my time, he had gave me a chance to see and drive the car before we went into further discussion about the car. After I had test drove the car I was interested in he asked me how I liked it and then brought me to his office. I told him the price was a little too high for what I was expecting, but Tom being the nice person he is gave me the best deal! love this dealership.

Tom was a great sales person and was more than willing to answer a ton of questions over the phone over multiple days and we were not disappointed when we finally got to walk around it and drive it. We look at allot of dealerships, but we were greeted with great customer service, I let them know that I had son that worked Nissan, so it was no haggle pricing, we found the right Altima and were in and out of the dealership in a few hours, seemed way to easy. Have brought my vehicle to this dealer on many occasions. The problems with my vehicle were exacerbated by low competence and poor customer service. This dealer is quick to say "cannot reproduce issue" even when you demonstrate it to them up front. Also quick to charge fees when car is under warranty. Have had service consultants tell me multiple times "why do you bring us this car when you did not buy it from here." Service consultants have great personality but just tell you what they think will get you out the door quickly even if what they say is incorrect. I refuse to buy another VW so long as this dealer is my only local choice. I also will refuse to buy any vehicle from Suburban.

I visited them to see used car. I was looking at the market for at least 3 weeks and since this dealer was near my house I was really interested when they posted their. They were really overpriced. The price was $3000 more than the same car with exact same characteristics but their had the double of the the mileage! While the sale man was nice and disclosed everything about the car (repairs...) the manager was rude and apply typical sale speech. When I made my proposal I knew exactly what was the market price. But the manager response was rude, and treat us as ignorant (ie: this is not the price of that car, I can't sell it at that price, I will loose money...) and finally thanks us for coming to see them! We left and went to buy the $3000 cheaper car in a very friendly and well priced dealer. Today a day after I visited the dealer I noticed that they dropped their price online by $2000...

We found not one, but TWO cars from this dealer, starting with one that's STILL listed on this site!!! They took a week and didn't wouldn't pick up a single phone call, wouldn't process our credit application, and wouldn't call or email us back to save their lives! Once they did, it was only to inform us that the car had been sold already. Then, after having told us there was a similar car available, only responded days later to tell us again, the car had been sold while we were waiting to hear back!!! And what's worse, after almost two weeks of the run-around, THEY STILL HADN'T BOTHERED TO PROCESS THE CREDIT APPLICATION! Will NEVER consider doing business with these guys...
