I leased my 2017 GMC Acadia from Sun on October 29, 2016. The car purchasing experience can be a harrowing one for most people, myself included, but the staff at Sun made the experience quite smooth. I started the process of looking for the new Acadia back in August and was contacted by Darnell Wiltshire at that time. I informed him my car buying process was only in the infancy stages, and Darnell never pressured me to make a decision until I was ready.I had looked at the Acadia at another dealer in Smithtown that was much closer and more convenient to me, but the experience I had there was one that would cause me never to return through their doors. After having an appointment with Darnell already scheduled, the other dealership tried to sweet talk me with a "better deal" on the car I wanted. Little did I know they'd stuff the deal with a terrible trade offer. After storming out of that dealer, I contacted Darnell to inform him I was on my way to see him.When I arrived at Sun, I was greeted by no less than three staff members, Darnell included. All offered me refreshments and a comfortable place to sit while Darnell finished with another customer. Once Darnell and I sat down to discuss the vehicle, I knew Sun would be a much better experience than I had at any other dealer. Kevin Bannon and Dave Monahan both sat down with me to introduce themselves and ask how they could help. Again, no sales talk of any kind. After a short discussion, I decided to lease the vehicle at the price Darnell originally quoted me over the phone using the Costco auto buying program. I finished the paperwork with Joe Gillespie, the business manager, and scheduled the delivery for a few days later.On the scheduled delivery date, Darnell walked me through all the features on the car so that I would be comfortable operating the Acadia on the long drive home. He then gave me a tour of the dealership and introduced me to the service department. All the people I had met with previously came out to congratulate me on my new vehicle. Kevin even gave me a gift to give to my wife for when I got home. I want to thank the staff at Sun for making the process of leasing my new Acadia an enjoyable one. Thanks, guys!

We recently leased a 2017 Acadia Limited. As with any major decision, it required attention to detail and extensive research to insure you make an educated decision. Sun came very highly recommended on social media sites so we decided to give it a look. We drove 33 miles from Smithtown after looking at a local dealer for the same vehicle. Not only comparing prices but also the customer experience, Sun came out way ahead. There was no pressure by our salesman Darnell or his manager Kevin. We went through the entire process and even left without finishing the deal because we wanted to really think it through. We asked both Kevin and Darnell to go through the numbers a few times so we had a clear understanding of what we were paying and not once did we feel any resistance. I know there's a stigma with car salesman and too be honest both Kevin and Darnell debunked that stigma. They both came across as sincere rather than "salesy". This was a great experience. I highly recommend Sun and will definitely do business with them in the future.

Our salesman, Roberto, was exceptional. He was pleasant, patient, not pushy and answered all questions. Showed us the breakdown of cost, fees, etc. and explained everything prior to our decision. Ran different scenarios for us. It was a stress free experience from thinking of getting a new vehicle to actually getting one. Kevin, the Sales Manager also goes out of his way to ensure you are being treated properly. Customer service skills are a plus in this dealership. The receptionist is also friendly and pleasant. The dealership is spotless/clean and they are always asking if you would like coffee/water. In my case, what their ad said is exactly what I received. No hidden catches (even in the fine print). Highly recommend Sun Buick - see Roberto or Kevin.

This week we leased our new 2017 Buick Enclave. We went to the dealership over the weekend to try to get a good deal on a new Encalve. We were greeted by Mitch, who was very kind and professional. He showed us the car, answered all our questions and got us a quote. We were happy with the price of the lease and decided to go ahead with it. Mitch took our information and said he'll take care of everything. Two days later we got a call from the dealership and were told we can come and pick up our vehicle on Thursday. On the day of the pick up, I pulled up to the dealership and saw Mitch cleaning the dust off the car. I told him not to worry about it, that it doesn't bother me. He however insisted on getting it spotless and shiny. The whole process from day one has been very easy and quick. I honestly can't remember getting a car in the past with such ease and professionalism. Sun dealership did a great job from start to finish, and Mitch has been outstanding. I highly recommend Sun dealership in Wantagh to anyone looking for a new car.

But for my approval it was different. It took 2 days for the Business Manager (G.J.)to get back to me and not with the deal that I expected. I have another car leased and it took only 20 min for the approval.

WOW where do I start?? After a horrific experience at Toyota Huntington, we decided to go to GMC and look at the Arcadia Limited. We had the pleasure of working with Vic who was more than professional, accommodating, and courteous to us. Every person in that show room could not do enough for us, weather you were their customer or not! The manager Kevin was terrific. He worked with us and went above and beyond just as Vic did. We were prepared to lease 1 vehicle but after dealing with this dealership my husband decided to purchase a truck for himself. We knew we would need to do this some time in the future but we could not pass up the deal they offered him so we decided to go for it. When I went to pick up my vehicle they gave me as a thank you a Kate Spade bracelet and wallet.(legit Kate spade) I almost fell over LOL. While we were there we had the opportunity to meet the owner Patrick.What a down to earth guy. On the wall there is a sign that says something to the effect that if your unhappy or concerned about anything he wants to know and he gives you his email address. Now that's customer service. I love driving the Arcadia.It has so many bells and Whistles. Thanks Vic, Kevin and Patrick for a wonderful experience. See you in 3 years for another GMC vehicle!!

I had the pleasure of once again leasing a vehicle from Sun Auto Group of Wantagh, NY. I was bringing 2nd 2013 GMC Terrain which was coming to lease end with the anticipation of leasing another GMC Terrain. Joe Gillespie who I have been dealing with for years, suggested, why not consider the new Buick Envision. At first I hesitated, I didn't want to increase my monthly lease payment, but rather reduce. I'm so glad I took his advise and leased a new 2016 Buick Envision. For the money, the vehicle has so many standard features, which on other vehicles are either not offered but would need to be added on as an option. I had to read the owner's manual to learn the dashboard, but once I did, I found it quite easy to navigate and program. So far, so good with my new Buick. I wanted to make sure Joe Gillespie is recognized by the dealership and also by GM as being a true Professional, Honest, always working with integrity and having the same work ethic as me, DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and do what is in the best interest of your customer first. Though Joe is the finance manager of the dealer and not in sales, I trust what he advises. But before considering the purchase or lease of a vehicle, what is most important, is the service after the sale! HANDS DOWN, this dealership has the BEST SERVICE on the PLANET! Dan Giordano of Sun GMC Buick is in my opinion the best car salesperson I've ever dealt with. I have leased three cars from him and have always appreciated his knowledge, integrity, and customer service. I did lease a competive brand this time around and it has only reinforced once again just how good Dan is. I had been to 2 dealers prior to this looking at the same car but I liked that they had the car I wanted in stock and worked with me to purchase the car within days of stopping in initially. They even stayed open late for us to pick up the car in the evening. The finance manager, Joe, also was a pleasure to deal with and processed the paperwork quickly. Very professional dealer, clean/modern facilities and excellent exit process, navigating me through the workings of the new car. They even presented me with a lovely gift as a token of thanks. After going to a Buick GMC dealership in Manhattan and receiving a price quote on the 2017 Acadia, I wanted to compare with what Sun had to offer. Off the bat, Roberto was very courteous and professional. He offered my wife and I a much better price than the Manhattan dealer. There was no pressuring to buy and he was completely transparent. After we looked at the vehicle, we decided to schedule a test drive the following day. We went back the next day and decided to move forward with the lease after Mitch took us out for the test drive (Roberto was attending to another customer who had a scheduled appointment). The next day I received a call from Joe from finance confirming the time to pick up our car and go over the final pieces before signing the lease agreement. He squared everything with the DMV and my insurance company. The next day we picked up the car after a thorough explanation by Roberto of the features. Overall I was very happy with my experience at Sun Buick GMC and would consider another lease from them in 3 years.

i was having issues at a different dealer and walked into SUN and spoke to Victor. I explained what I was dealing with and he explained he can do better on a nicer truck. He showed it to me and gave me numbers and I left to give the other dealer one more chance. Long story short I canceled the other truck and called Victor to get the deal going. Everything he told me was true and never changed price or terms. Made it very easy and I felt comfortable.

All salespersons are courteous and friendly. They give you a good quote right off the bat offering many incentives. NO haggling! I have been at car dealerships for hours with the going back and forth to the manager, this was a pleasant surprise. Once we decided to buy the car the paperwork took very little time. They answered all of our questions about the car, were patient, and took their time explaining everything.

I called to arrange an appointment and test drive for an Acadia and was greeted by a non-sales person (Dave) who helped me until a sales person became available. I thought that was odd but I appreciated not being put on hold. I ended up working with Dann Giordano and was not disappointed. My wife and I tested the Acadia as planned and also the Terrain. It was late in the day but Dann encouraged us to test both vehicles. We ended up making a deal for a nicely equipped Terrain. We had a supplier discount which was honored and Dann made sure we got all other discounts available. After we made the deal Dann was able to upgrade our vehicle to an SLT package at no extra cost! That has never happened to me and I have been leasing cars for more than 25 years. We picked up our vehicle as scheduled and as promised, were in and out of the dealership in about an hour . This was the most stress-free car buying experience I have ever had. I recommend asking for Dann at Sun Buick GMC. You will not be disappointed.

From the moment my fiance and myself walked into sun auto several months ago while out on a lazy Saturday Window shopping we were met at the front door by a gentleman named Darnell. He took his time and explained every aspect of the Yukon truck we were looking at while full knowing he wouldn't be making a sale that day. Over the next several months I received emails from him keeping me in the loop with what was going on at sun and also keeping his name in the forefront of my mind. With my lease ending in two months we shopped several trucks and made it a point to return and see what Darnell could do for us. Well today we purchased a Yukon fully loaded and could not be happier. The straight forward approach from Darnell and his finance manager Joe, (who was also extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with) was in my eyes a premium first class experience. The pricing was excellent as well and I can say whole heartedly I will be a customer of Darnell's for many years to come.

Lets start with the fact that I'm almost 60 and have purchased/leased approx 25 cars in my life from dealers including Jaguar, Mercedes, Volvo, etc. I am currently leasing a Lexus from Rallye motors who is an excellent dealership as well. However, without a doubt the experience I had as SUN BUICK GMC absolutely transcends them all. I was looking for a GMC Terrain as a second car and had the good fortune of having Victor as my sales associate. All sales people know their cars, but his relaxed, no pressure attitude made myself and my family feel very comfortable. There was no attempt to upsell or pressure us into anything we weren't comfortable with, we were treated with respect and sincerity. (If you're looking for the polar opposite of this, go visit Advantage Hyundai). We were quoted a price that was more than fair, and when some problems arose with the transaction through no fault of SUN, they (Including Joe in credit who also was great to deal with) adapted and handled the situation quickly and efficiently. Lastly, my wife and daughter needed to pick up the car, and were surprisingly given really nice gifts for being a customer. They seemed to be more excited about this, than the actual car. I have given SUN 5 stars because 6 was not an option. If anyone doubts the sincerity or honesty of this review, feel free to contact me directly and I would be happy to call you to discuss.

We walked into the showroom, and I was welcomed to the dealership and then left alone. ( I looked at my Wife like this guy didn't jump us?) we looked and sat into three vehicles free of anyone looking over our backs, and when I got into the third one we both seemed to like it. I stepped out and went over to that same person that greeted me I asked my questions . We came out of the GMC Terrain and asked him to explain the different models, and then he called another person over, as this was the General Manager of the Dealership. I was amazed that the GM was out on the floor like that. My Wife and I had must have visited a dozen dealerships prior to this one. He sat us down with a well spoken, and mannered young man ( Scott Damm ) and proceeded to go through the cars and also the differences between them, and never being pushy at all, and in fact he just gave us pricing and we parted ways and said if we were interested we will be back on Monday. My Wife and I went home and discussed it and I needed to research the vehicle as I never expected to even look at a GMC. We went back Monday and sat with Scott and he went through the car and I threw Scott a curveball as my Daughter said we should lease? Scott took the time to show the benefits of leasing and I'm a 60 yr. old school guy and I'm sure I asked many of really off the wall questions and he took the time to answer me without even laughing!!! He was an informative and thorough Salesman and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a car. My experience was absolutely painless from the time we walked in to the time we drove out. In my opinion in looking around while waiting you can see that the Attitude in this Dealership is "Lead by Example" as the sales Team mirrors the GM in causing a positive buying experience and putting the customers in a friendly, informative sales floor.

From my first visit to the time of delivery I was treated extremely well and the emphasis customer service was quite apparent. I compared a few vehicles before I decided on the Encore. Anthony Smith was my salesman. He was very patient and compared the lease vs buy options in detail. I test drove the vehicle and fell in love with it. Instead of pressuring me Anthony told me what the next step was to close the deal and told me to think about it. I walked out of the showroom with all the information necessary to make my decision and his business card if I thought of more questions. I ended up leasing and when I came to pick up the car Anthony was very enthusiastic during the transaction. He explained the functions of the car to me and told me I could call if I had any questions. I purchased my first new car from this dealer many years ago and had a good experience. My husband & I had such an amazing experience at SUN GMC. I called to get some information and spoke with Darnell, he was a pleasure to work with and took all our information to get the process started. My husband and I have had horrible experiences with car dealerships in the past. With that said, we went to Sun GMC expecting the same treatment we had received in the past....but we were greatly mistaken. From the moment Rob S. shook our hands until the actual pick up of our GMC Terrain SLT, it was seamless. We were not there for hours, we were there as long as we wanted to be there. I picked up my SUV, and the transaction was completed in 45 minutes. We were not pressured ever by Rob, and not even by the Sales Manager Joe. Rob was beyond patient, he answered every question we had. He gave us his personal cell so in case we had questions when we left, we could call or text him. He had even told me when I picked up my Terrain, "you have my cell if you have any questions or problems with anything, call me". We can honestly say we were blown away with the customer service and the AWESOME experience we had. I would recommend him and Sun GMC to my family, friends and anyone looking for a vehicle. We really can't thank Rob enough.

The salesperson (Victor) did not push to make a deal. He explained the different features in the different models and gave us time to decide what WE wanted. I never heard " if I get you this number will you take it today", I hate that. Kevin ( Sales manager) stopped by once and awhile just to chat and check the numbers right there in front of us. This meant Victor didn't jump up and disappear every 5 minutes to " talk to my manager ". This didn't happen till we reached an agreement with the sales rep and he needed the managers approval. Nice job Sun I'll be back. Also finance got it all together and never pushed or tried to add anything on , the number was the number.

So I was looking for a Sierra or Silverado pickup. I went to a couple of other dealers who used very bizarre sales tactics which rubbed me the wrong way and their prices were double what their ads had said " we don't have any more in stock at that price" was the line of **** I got, So onto to Sun GMC and salesman Nick Divone. I ended up leasing from them at a price I wouldn't even haggle on. The down payment was the ACTUAL down payment without any surprises on the delivery of the vehicle. The monthly payment didn't suddenly change. I was so happy the day I leased that truck and still am. Nick made it easy and was honest. When I picked up the truck someone also went through the vehicle with me and helped me get started with onstar and the touchscreen stuff which I never had before. I will definitely use them again. I will use them again and recommend them to everyone

I refuse to call Nick Divone a salesman. The images that word conjures up do this gentleman an injustice. And he is just that -- a gentleman. From the initial email I sent while snowed in, based off a family member's recommendation to a handshake and a wave as we drove off in our new Acadia SLE-2 just 48 hours later, Nick was on point.The guy does not sell. He consults. He informs. He educates. And he advocates; not for Sun but for his clients. He knew what we wanted and needed before we did. He treated me, my wife, and one of our sons with model professionalism and respect; even taking a genuine interest in our need for space for hockey bags and sticks, where we all play, and the Islanders. While Nick was busy (we arrived early for our first meeting) we were entertained by an equally cordial and friendly Kevin Bannon (sales manager) who helped us pass the time while Nick was occupied. No one tried to poach us away. Everyone was just so chill. We recommend Nick, Kevin, and Sun to everyone from all points of Long Island and beyond.These guys give lousy dealerships a really bad name!

We felt with both Dan and Dave. After a great start with dan we booked an appointment to come in and test drive an enclave and Acadia. We showed up on time for our 10 am appointment on a Saturday morning and waited for 30 minutes for dan to finish with anothe customer. At the 35min mark another sales person who treated us (sorry forgot his name, excellent gentleman with a white beard) offered to take us o ln the test drive for the enclave. After which we were decided it was the car for us. We then waited another 45 minutes until Kevin the manager offered to place us with dave since dan was still busy. Dave was excellent to deal with in person. We got through the process and although it took another hour we left with a deal we were happy with. Dave left something to be desired with his communication over the next few days. I emailed him on a Wednesday to confirm our Thursday appointment. And still hadn't heard from him by 3 on Thursday. I called he dealership and spoke to dave who told me that we were still on for out 7. I asked that he confirm the final amount via email which he did. However he failed to include who the check needed to be made out to in his email. I then called the dealership and spoke to a sales person who informed me the plating. I suggested to dave that he add his contact info to his email in a note thanking him the following day and he responded that he had (it also said who to make payment out to in his email signature as well now). All in all we did have a pleasant experience but I would have wished that te process flowed a bit tighter. We will recommend you going forward but I hope that you step it up. Thank you.

Our salesman Darnell at sun auto group and our overall experiences was fantastic, there was no pressure at all. Darnell was patient and took the time to help us figure out which vehicle would be best for us and then worked with us to get to the price point that we had in mind. We did have 1 small misunderstanding, which Darnell and his GM quickly took care of. Upon pick up of our new Arcadia, Darnell took the time to explain to us how everything worked, and what all the different buttons and switches did and made sure I was able to do it before he finished. He reinded us that should we ever in the future Need any questions asked or problems worked out, he is always there to help, no hesitation. My husband are very happy with our new car and Sun Auto Group and will definitely be returning when we need another car or 2.

I have been a customer at Sun since 1988 where I bought my first new car a 1988 Grand Am. In 1997 I did my first leased vehicle and have returned to Sun ever since to continue leading vehicles. The experience had with the sales staff has been excellent. Since 1997 I had Scott Rosenthal as my salesman until his retirement in 2012. In October 2014 I was at Sun getting service to my 2012 Buick and started speaking to Rich Cioffi about my upcoming new lease. He was very helpful and went above and beyond in getting me a great deal on a 2014 Buick lease that I signed the papers right then and there. The delivery of my new car went wonderfully and Rich again was very helpful in showing me how to set up the technical things in the car and where everything was.

My first two visits, when looking at the car and then purchasing it, were great experiences. The salesman was informative, helpful and friendly. My third visit, to pick up the car, was disappointing. I purchased the car on a Saturday and was scheduled to pick it up on Thursday. I called on Wednesday to find that the insurance had not been obtained. I was told that I should call my agency. I have never had to do that with any car. My agent even told me that the dealers always call. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up the car, I will admit that I was 45 mins. late due to traffic and an unexpected stop. However, when I arrived, my salesman was not there. No one offered to help us. First, I was told that the salesman would be right out. Then I was told that he was at the 7-11. When I checked my phone, I had a message from him that he went home for a while. When I finally approached another salesman to tell him that I was leaving, he said he would get the manager. The manager never appeared. My salesman finally arrived as I was walking to my car. After that, the visit went smoothly and I left shortly thereafter with my new car.

While in the end the rate was acceptable the communication was lacking. At pickup the details we discussed were not reflected in the paperwork causing delays. Again, Tony and others stepped in at closing to ensure everything was done correctly.

I bought my first car from Sun in 2001. It is a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue, which I still own. It was a Dealer demo or a car used by GM management. I have had the car 10 years with no major repairs except that which comes with age. I then bought a new 2002 Chevy S10 pickup, which I also still have. Great service from the dealership on these vehicles. In 2004, I smart buy a 2004 Impala LS. It was a great car. I turned that in for a 2007 Buick LaCrosse in 2007. I miss the Impala. Then in 2008, I purchased a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix which was used. I have had great experiences with Sun both in sales and in service. I highly recommend them for their professional service and great value. I look forward to dealing with them in the future.
