My husband has been looking for a new or used truck for a few months. We have spent countless hours looking, driving, asking questions, and comparing prices. We looked at every make and model of truck they make I think. Drove a 3/4 ton Dodge from Talllassee Ford and thought he had found what he wanted and then he decided he wanted to drive the 3/4 Chevrolet because he had only driven the 1/2 ton. So I looked online and posted my phone number and Kim called me and I told her we were working with Angus so she had him call me. He said I have a 2015 GMC with 10,000 miles on the lot we just traded in. We drove it that afternoon. He decided that was what he wanted after coming home and doing research on towing capabilities. We put a deposit down on that Sat. And he drove it off the lot 7/15/16. Couldn't gave had a better buying experience!!

This was our first day to look at getting another car. While there my mind was sort of wanting a SUV, (Explorer) however, they had a 2015 Sedan Ford Taurus loaded, so after going back and forth with the finance department, they offered us a great deal. So we took it and are glad we did. They were patient with us on our decision. We would definitely recommend your dealership.

I was contacted by Tallassee Auto wanting to buy a vehicle we bought new in 2014. They claimed to have a buyer for my vehicle lined up and would do anything to buy the vehicle back. I usually catch onto scams but actually fell for this one. After 2 hours I turned down the offer but for some reason they still ran my credit application when I never agreed for it to be ran. When we bought our current vehicle in 2014 it was ran by Ben Atkinson and was a trusted dealership. The dealership has recently been purchased and has gone down hill. I would highly recommend future buyers looking else where.

Really wish this website would let me give this dealership ZERO stars. After making an appointment (two days prior) and driving an hour to see a specific vehicle, we were told that the vehicle was unavailable for the next TWO WEEKS! Unavailability due to owner driving the vehicle on vacation. Who wants to buy a not-so-new-anymore $50,000 vehicle that has already hundreds of miles on it? The answer....NO ONE!

These people are amazing. From the moment you pull on the lot, someone is there to assist you, but not pressure you. Every one of the employees is kind, friendly and personable. They work together as a team to help you and don't seem to fight over who is going to make a sale, which is nice. They care about the customer and each other. Its a real family atmosphere. Our salesperson, Wallace, did everything he could to help make us comfortable and make the car buying experience pleasurable. We bought two brand new Jeeps from them. Amazing people....great vehicles...fantastic experience! Thank you to these wonderful people!

The initial experience of the purchase of my vehicle was great! I called one day during the middle of the day and shared what I was looking for. The sales person searched their inventory, communicated back within a very reasonable timeframe, and was anxious to close the sale that evening. Well, I closed, but was very unhappy with the interest rate they provided. They said they just couldn't do any better. Well, I find out later that they didn't WANT to do any better because the manufacturer who gave them the interests rate pays the dealership for selling at a higher interest rate. Within two days, I was at my bank who knocked off 2 percentage points from my loan (this worked out to save me almost $4000 over the course of my loan!). Within a few weeks of my purchase, I began having some issues with my vehicle (two significant issues that affect the quality of the vehicle and possibly my safety), so I took it in for warranty. A major component had to be ordered, so it meant another visit to get it replaced. The service department told me they would call me once the part arrived. I never hear from anyone, so I called them. The person I spoke with told me the part had been there for days (in fact, it arrived the very next business day of when they ordered it). I asked why nobody called me, and I was told they send postcard notifications, not phone calls. I told them I never received a postcard either. So, I drove many miles to take my vehicle back for the part to be replaced. I was able to leave within a few hours. When I got back in my vehicle, there were grease spots on the interior's upholstery. I let it slide and didn't say anything, thinking I would just clean it myself rather than them try and only make it worse. I left the dealership and within 2 miles of leaving, the same issues occurred. The part they replaced--assuming they actually did replace it--did not rectify anything. So, I turned around and returned to the dealership. The service manager, whom I'm told is an in-law to Mr. Atkinson, was not the friendliest as he smarted off at me because I parked my vehicle in a place that he didn't like. I told them the vehicle was still not repaired. They told me I could bring it back another day and they would look at it again. Since I do not live close to Tallassee, I told them it would have to be a Saturday that was convenient for me. When the vehicle was sold to me, I was told that if a need ever arose in which I needed service, the dealership would be more than glad to send a representative to my town to retrieve the vehicle and return it once service was completed. I thought...hmmm...that's what I call going above and beyond. I've been in a customer-service industry all of my life, which is a long time, and THAT is the kind of service that means something special. Not that I would ever expect to exercise that option, but the gesture of making the offer was very kind and appreciated. Well, since my service issues remain unchanged, that offer has been rescinded as I was told that management said I would have to bring the vehicle in myself. I have been e-mailing the dealership for over a week to setup an appointment, but all e-mails have been unanswered. They were quick to respond, however, when I was trying to give them some money! Hmmmm....funny how that works! To this day, I still have not heard from the dealership. I tried phoning a few times, and one time the phone just rang and rang and rang and finally went to a voice greeting. I called back on another line, and it took forever for someone to answer, but a human finally did. I had never heard of this dealership prior to this purchase, but was referred to them by a close friend of mine who is also a friend of Mr. Atkinson's. I have just learned that Mr. Atkinson has sold his dealership. I have tried calling Mr. Atkinson personally to see if he could at least put me in contact with someone at the dealership who would be of some help. He refuses to accept my calls. I don't blame the man for not wanting to deal with any headaches since he no longer owns the business, but what about one's reputation? Does that not matter anymore these days?! I suppose the team at the dealership now doesn't care about me. What's sad is that I have 3 family members that were about to go buy a vehicle from this dealership. But, the dealership just lost out. Word of mouth will spread...it may take some time...but it will spread. I was hoping the dealership would be an advocate for me in communicating to the manufacturer since they were having so much problem determining how to make the repairs, but I don't see that happening. I do not wish ill will on anyone, and I know that it is a very small percentage of situations that happen like mine. I take that into consideration and know it's not the dealership's fault, but they could at least offer the customer service one would expect. I suppose I now will have to write the manufacturer directly and file a formal complaint. And, I will seek another dealership to try and service my vehicle....guess the Tallassee guys will be happy to see me go...along with the sale of 3 other vehicles they won't get!

I have been dealing with the service dept at Ben Atkinson for a long time. They kept my 02 f150 in great shape, always friendly, courteous and prompt. When it was time to upgrade in trucks Clay Brantley took the time to find out what I wanted in a newer used truck. At the time he didn't have what I wanted, but he told me he would be on the lookout for one. Just a week later he came trough with a great truck. Everyone at the dealership was great to work with.

This is just another car dealership that lives up to the terrible reputation of this industry. I had a very bad experience and would not recommend them to anyone. I bought an F150 from them which was my 1st Ford and will be my last. If you do contact them with an issue they "forgot to mention", this is the response you are likely to get: "Hey, we don't build them we just sell them". When it's time for me to trade in 2 years I'm going back to GMC.

I was a return customer looking for an older, used pickup truck just to use for occasional hauling on my property. While waiting during a regular service visit, I mentioned to Eric what I was looking for. A few days later he called me at home and said he had a trade-in that he thought would meet my requirements. I purchased a 10 year old pickup truck that was one owner and very well maintained. To make a long story short, Eric and the staff at Ben Atkinson really delivered on their promise to make sure it was mechanically sound and look like a new truck again. I have been shopping for a new truck for the past two months. I have participated in the USAA buyer's assistance program. I was referred to two dealerships. Ben Atkinson was the one which actually seemed interested in helping me and gaining my business. I contacted Jason Sears their internet manager concerning the specific vehicle I was interested in. After looking around the state at other dealerships and through their own stock my preferences could not be met. They then suggested that I could special order the vehicle I wanted and that they would honor the buyer's assistance price I had. The projected delivery time was 5-6 weeks, the vehicle actually came in at just over 4 weeks. The professionalism and actual helpfulness of the personnel at Ben Atkinson Motors was better than any I have experienced in my 66 years. I would heartily recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.

Kimberly has located the right vehicle that fit my needs and to my budget within 2 days, where other dealerships failed. Following that, Kimberly updated me daily on the status of my purchase, responded to any email I have sent within hrs if not minutes. He gave me some guidelines and then he let me talk to Byron who told me that he would have some test drives ready. I was treated like royalty. I only had to drive three cars before I made my decision. Ben Atkinson car dealership is exceptional in their selection of cars, their friendliness, their helpfulness, and their prices. We were in the market for a truck so naturally we went to Ben Atkinson Motors. Ben and Byron met us on Saturday and spent hours with us as we looked at several trucks, explaining the features and accessories of each one. Over the weekend, Byron answered several questions,via email and telephone. Monday we purchased our NEW F150 , and can not be more pleased. Ben Atkinson, a Christian Gentleman, is the leader of a great organization and sets the tone for customer service and satisfaction before and after the sale. Byron is extremely knowledgeable , willing help in any way possible, and makes the customer feel important. I purchased 2008 nissan pathfinder 1st week in January. Had excellent service with Eric creswell. Jason was also good. The day we came over was hot so I never thought to run the heater on the Pathfinder. Did not think 4 year old truck would have a wore out water pump. After talking to several mechanics I was told to make sure there was fluid and make sure it did not have air bubble. Checked these issues and nothing. Last thing is water pump covered under your drive train warranty. I was connected to a lady that said she wouldnt have water pump on first visit and that if that was it I would just have to come back. I live in Prattville. Ben owns a auto parts store and so why not have one just in case. Just trying to make it difficult to get that warranty. The sale goes alot further than just a sale. Maybe not the water pump but bet they send me home saying its not and I have to come back anyway. Ridiculous.

The experience with Ben Atkinson was outstanding. I came in close to closing time, it was raining and dark but they hung around and were eager to show me the Jeep Liberty's I had been reviewing. Mike was extremely friendly, outlined their service plan, and said they would do their best to get me the best price on my trade in. They did! The overall cost of the Jeep was very reasonable and no need to negotiate-and they threw in a needed tow hitch. I cannot say enough-I immediately went on Facebook and gave them a plugAwesome service, professionalism, but also made you feel at home!

Buyer beware when dealing with Jason Sears on an internet deal. I was working with him on a used 2011 Ford Escape. I asked if the car had any defects. He said it had none. We agreed to a deal including my trade-in so I drove approximately 220 miles from the Mobile area to get the car for my daughter. Upon inspection of the car it had the following: rock chip in the front edge of the hood about the size of a pencil point, stains on the side of the back seat and significant surface scratches in the drivers door and window. Jason was not at the dealership on this Saturday so I was working with Erik Cresswell. He tried to wax out the scratches but they were still there. I declined to purchase the vehicle so I had a very disappointed daughter and a long ride home. I found out my definition of zero defects is very different than Mr. Sears.

This now makes the 7th or 8th vehicle that I have purchased from Ben Atkinson Motors and I can honestly say that I have never been disatisfied with the friendly courteous service that I have received at the dealership. It didn't matter if it was a new vehicle or a clean used vehicle, the customer service was excellent, they answered all my questions, and they have always given me a fair deal. I have used them several times, will certainly go back, if and when the need arises, and have always recommended them to friends and family. In addition, their service department is far and above most other service departments in the region.

I took my new Dodge Charger in for its first oil change. Everyone went out of the way to be friendly and courteous. I went home after having my oil changed and noticed a huge oil smudge on the drivers side trim,the part your feet passes over when you get into the car. I spent about an hour scrubbing the oil smudge off. I went back for a second time thinking that it was just a one time deal. I got the same courteous welcome and everthing went well. I paid for my oil change and made sure the grease monkey didnt drag his feet across the trim again. Everthing seemed okay, so I drove off. I got about a mile down the road and notice an oil smudge on the plastic trim near the drivers side window dangerously close to my cloth roof. I immediatly turned around and went back. I asked for the service manager and explained to him about how I had to clean up an oil smudge from the time before and that I had another one. I showed it to him and he went off to get a towell and some kind of cleaner. He scrubbed for about 5 minutes and got most of the stain out. I suggested to him that the person changing the oil shouldnt be the same person getting in and out of my car. He commented that he couldnt afford a person just to bring the cars in and out of the service bay. Well folks I dont know about you but if I spend 24,000 on a car Im not going to let some grease monkey f**** it up. So I quess I will be going to jiffy lube from here on out. I can drive my car into the service bay myself.
