Great, I did say Great sales department. TERRIBLE, I did say TERRIBLE service department!! But then who buys a car for the service, almost everyone. Service after the sale, RIGHT........Just ask the service manager, Bud, I am sure he will tell you what he wants to hear himself say. This guy does not reflect the Thompson Honda way......

Recently purchased my 5th new vehicle over a period of 30 years at Thompson Honda in Terre Haute. I have purchased from other dealers over the years. I have always found Thompson Hondathe easiest to deal with. I always left there feeling that I was a valuable customer. I'll return.

I have owned Honda vans for over ten years. They were purchased at Thompson;s and have always been serviced there. Service folks are always friendly and accomadating.Work always performed well and if there is any problem, it is always quickly corrected.The quality service keeps me coming back to Thompson Honda for my vehicles.

We are very happy with the dealership and all the personal we dealt with. Jon Bledsoe was very professional and very caring about our needs. This is my third Honda purchased at this dealership and I would not go anywhere else. Jon Bledsoe has sold all three to me. I have complete tRust in him and Thompson Honda to give me the best price they can. For they have always been a few dollars within the price I have figured I would give for the vehicle. I know most of the personal in the dealership and we all call each other by our first names. A great place to do business, I would recommend Thompsons Honda to all my friends. I love to find a dealership that will be responsible for taking care if my "Wheels". I already have over 100,000 mi on my 3 yr van. So I need a dealership to look after me. They will warn me of the price before I get the work done, chauffeur me around town and are considerate of my time table as well as theirs. Once I get over 200,000, I will be looking to buy another Honda- love my Odyssey. It handles well and is a traveling home for me ??.

Jon Bledsoe was my salesman. He was very humble and no nonsense in his approach in both selling the car and taking care of all financial matters. Jon was very prompt to return my calls and answer the questions I had. This has been the case with other purchases my family has made through Jon. The other salespeople did not push themselves on me and immediately deferred to Jon when I asked for him. Overall my experience was very satisfying. I got a fair deal and got to buy local!! Win. Win.

I brought my 2013 Honda Civic in for a B1 ( Oil change and tire rotation ) service. They changed the oil but did not rotate the tires. After I talked to them about it Alexx tried to convince me they did not need rotated even though it had been over 10,000 miles since the last time they were rotated and the honda service ( B1 ) they were performing calls for tire rotation. In the end they did rotate them and did not charge me. When you have service done at Thompsons make sure they perform all that are required.

I bought my Honda Pilot at Thompson's in December 2008. They have serviced my vehicle over the years and have always been honest and forthright when recommending any work needed on my vehicle. I have almost 100,000 miles on my Pilot and have no plans to replace it as long as Thompson is there to service it! The sales staff, service repair staff and all others are pleasant, knowledgeable and competent. They have serviced family members' cars that were not Hondas and have always given us the best of service. I highly recommend Thompson's Honda for all car needs.

I came into this dealership bitter and on edge due to the extended search for a practical car that could get me away from another regretful purchase. The salesman sat me down and showed me numbers of what I was spending now and what I would be spending with this new Honda Civic. I decided to purchase the car and have had nothing but smiles since. It lives up to what I was told it would do in fuel and then some. Very impressed.

I've been a loyal and happy owner of a 2005 Honda CRV that served me well for almost 10 years . I only serviced this vehicle as prescribed by the manual and had no trouble and other repairs done except for tires twice and brake service once when needed .My recent experience of the purchase of the Ridge line was extremely easy and will recommend this dealership to everyone I know,,, Kent was extremely nice and professional...

The entire Thompson's staff is great. I dropped my car off for it's routine service appointment, and someone was right there to take me to work. They offered to pick me up as well when my car was finished but I had a co-worker going that direction. Communication was great as well. Always a great team to work with!

Easy to make appointment either by phone or online. Work was performed quickly and professionally. The waiting area was very clean with free coffee, television and free WiFi. I would highly recommend both the sales and service departments at this dealership.

Bucky was very professinal, agressive salesman, but never pushy, he always answered every question we had in a timely matter and if he didn't know it, he would get the answer. Also, when I went in to find out about financing everyone in there greated me with a smile and was very polite and professional. When i came in everyone shook my and called me by name. When I came to pick up my vehicle, Bucky spent about 30 plus minutes showing me everything inside my car and how it works, plus asked if I had any other questions and made it clear if I had any at any point to feel free to call him back.

I had purchased my Honda CRV elsewhere and was told by friends that when you take a car in to a dealership where you didn't buy it, you got reluctant service. Not so at Thompsons Honda. They have proven to be very accomodating, quick to service and competant in what they do. I would recommend them with no reservations.

I have to admit I was hesitant as I drove from northeast Wisconsin down to Terre Haute, IN to purchase a Ford Mustang at a Honda dealership. The pictures of the car and the Carfax all looked good but I wasn't certain the 2011 Mustang would be in the condition I wanted. My fears vanished as soon as I walked in the door and a smiling Tracy asked if I was from up north and there to pick up a car. He said Bob Lawson, the sales representative, was on a shuttle run and would be back shortly, but I could take the car for a drive if I liked. Before I knew it, the car was at the door and keys in my hands. I went to pick up a cup of coffee in the soon-to-be-my Mustang convertible. It was clean, handled well and was a smooth ride. When I got back to the dealership we completed all the formalities in less than a half hour and I was on my way home. I was most impressed when the owner, Bob Thompson, took a personal interested in how I found their dealership and why I would drive that distance for a car. I could tell he really cared about his business and customers. He shared a little history of his business and the community with me, so I felt like I took a little Terre Haute back with me to Wisconsin. Thanks to all at Thompson Honda for making what I thought was a risky endeavor (purchasing a car long distance), a very enjoyable morning.

I appreciated the fact that he treated us both with respect and not that a husband and father would be along to purchase or be the decision maker in the purchase

I initially contacted Thompson Honda with an email inquiry. To my surprise, it was answered with a couple of emails in a speedy manner. I went to the dealership and was impressed with the friendliness, no pressure atmosphere, and professionalism of the entire staff. I found that the car I was interested in was not going to work for me. The staff immediately helped guide me to an alternate and the deal was sealed. Two days later, I picked up my new Honda and again was impressed with the closing of the deal. A wonderfully pleasant buying experience. Thanks Thompson Honda.

Everything from the initial phone call to my test drives was handled with 100% professionalism and honesty. I just experienced my 2nd new-car purchase from Thompson Honda. With both purchases, the entire staff did everything possible to meet my needs while being mindful of my budget. I have never experienced such excellent customer service with any other dealer. Both the cars and the dealership rock! I will be purchasing a Honda from Thompson Honda for many years to come! Bob Lawson is the best Salesman which I have ever dealt. Bob has even given me his personal cell phone with instructions to call if I ever need anything. Two things they didn't do that was promised. They just repaired the front of the hood,not the two other dinks that was pointed out and the fogged up head lights were just somewhat cleaned instead of being replaced like we had agreed on.

We had been shopping for a high quality used SUV. We were looking on line at different sites and contacted Thompson Honda. The internet sales manager responded immediately upon receipt of my email which impressed me. We decided to visit the dealership to check out their Honda CRVs. A salesman met us upon getting out of our car and asked if he could help. We told him we had contacted the internet manager. He immediately contacted him to help us. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They worked with us to get us the best deal and financing for our purchase of the 2011 CRV. We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle.

I bought a used 2002 Camry and received a great price. Both Jon and Tracy were great to work with and I actually got a better deal than I thought I would. I did have an issue with the vehicle I bought and Jon and Tracy worked together to resolve my issue even thought the car didn't have a warranty. I love this place and the people I worked with!!! I spent 3 weeks searching for a certified Honda Accord and found four available in the country. I ended up making the 3 hour trip from Chicago to Terre Haute to buy the car. Everything went well all negotiations were taken care of over the phone, I just had to look at the car and make sure it was what I wanted. Bob Lawson was great to work with and said "...if you need anything let me know." Usually you have 90 days to report anything on a certified vehicle, I called after 45 days and haven't heard back. I can't get a call back from the used car manager or the general manager. I don't mind paying when I have to, but not even to return phone calls and say a simple yes or no. I know many people in and out of this business and I would never recommend this dealer to anyone, nor would I return to buy another vehicle if they had what I wanted.

I traded a 2009 Harley lowrider for a 2009 Hayabusa ......lots of emails to john Hamblin. very friendly at this point .then i laid the bike down and damaged it.... through email john hamblin offered to have Thompsons pick up the Hayabusa .. i said yes, comepick up the bike. Then the manager Brian refused to pick up the bike even though insurance would pay to pick up the bike.At this point they would not return emails to me ..Keep in mind this motorcycle complex is quite large ....the manager said that he didnt have a designated employee to pick up motorcycles for repair ...seems like girls to sell clothes and another to answer the phone is more important than providing a customer that bought a bike from them service on a bike. I call that lousy. service after a sale. The service dept in my opinion is top notch. But the manager... needs to go....... james burnett, claremont, il 62421
