Another typical car dealer- makes promises over the phone to get you in and then can't make anything happen... I was very specific about prices (I'd been looking at a vehicle at another dealership) and the fact that I had a 3 year old and was 8 months pregnant and didn't want to waste an hour each way if it wasn't going to be worth my time. The salesman said, 'oh I promise we won't waste your time, I understand, blah blah blah. At the end of it, his 'deal' was $4500 more than the other dealership. I wasted my time. He didn't even bother to email me with another price as we had agreed on. I was very disappointed.

Your dealership didn't have a Legacy in the color I wanted but Kevin didn't give up and spent a lot of time trying to locate the vehicle. After a month of checking other dealerships Kevin did find a vehicle that was exactly what I wanted. I have not had such a positive experience purchasing a vehicle in the past. I took my 2015 Taurus in when I heard a strange popping noise from the front end. When I arrived in the service bay Lisa, the service writer, went with me on a test ride to replicate the sound. She heard the noise as well and set me up with an appointment with one of their service technicians. The service technician, Darrel, was very thorough with my car. I was informed that once he heard the noise he investigated all data in the Technical Service Bulletins. He was on target because what turned out to be the recommended repair didn't correct the issue and he didn't give up until he found the corrective action. I am glad he took the time to troubleshoot and actually fix my car. Now it seems my car has lead to others knowing how to make this repair if the issue rises with another customer. I am glad to have my car back and it drives wonderful. The steering is actually better than before, but that could be just me missing my car. I want to thank everyone who helped in the process, Lisa, Jennifer and especially Darrel. Thank you for giving my car back better than I left it.

I drove down to Tindol Ford to purchase a used vehicle from West Virginia, Kayla Hoffman was the internet sales consultant that I was working with. She was very helpful and professional while we were working on a deal. The deal was reached, and I traveled to Tindol Ford and was greeted by a very courteous staff. I then met Kayla, and she made the buying process very fast and easy. The vehicle I purchased was spotless and professionally detailed. Kayla then proceeded to ensure that I knew how all the vehicle's features worked before leaving and helped me sync my phone and contacts in with the vehicle. It was my first time using an internet sales person to purchase a car. Susan H. was extremely helpful in our email conversations. She actually responded very quickly to my emails compared to other dealers that took 2-3 days to respond to my inquire. In this day and age, we can be too busy to talk to people and email conversations are always a Plus. The internet staff provided me with all the information I needed as well as set up a time to meet at the dealership. At the dealership the staff made sure we had all the available cars we discussed in the email. They offered a competitive price on the F150 and provided me with a great trade in value. Doug from finance was also a great person to talk to. It was a drive from south charlotte but It was definitely worth it. Thank you Susan H. for making my first truck purchase a great experience.

This is my second Subaru that I purchased from Tindol Subaru with Chris Townsend as the salesmen. I purchased an Impreza in 2010 and just purchased a Forrester in 2016. I had contacted the dealership about a truck I was interested in. Julie Petree responded and we scheduled a time and date to test drive the truck along with having my existing truck evaluated for a trade. I drove 45 minutes from Concord NC only to find out the truck had been sold. No call or contact as a simple courtesy. I am disappointed that I did not get to look at the vehicle but more upset that a simple courtesy call was not made. Definitely not a way to conduct business.

Due to distance and work schedule I did big part of the process through email/phone. Mr. Patrick Lubin was extremely diligent answering all my questions and providing precise and concise information. From the beginning they quoted as they meant to beat any other offer, one of the best prices in the Charlotte, Greenville and Atlanta area. At some point Mr. Robbie Cagle got involve to clarify some information and the professionalism and honesty of these two gentlemen was what made me decide to make business with them. The day after we agreed on price and conditions I went to the dealer to be received by Mr. Lubin like he knew me from years, everyone is very friendly on the dealer. My car was clean and ready to be inspected and tested, closing of the sale went flawless, were even invited to have lunch with the guys that were making a grilled lunch on the back of the dealer. Tidol has the biggest Ford inventory I saw during this purchasing process (sorry, didn't paid attention to the Subaru side), no other place had such variety of Mustang models and colors, this will make it more likely to find any model/color you want. I definitely recommend you to contact Mr. Patrick Lubin and visit this dealer if you plan to buy a Ford or Subaru. The only downside is the inconvenient conditions for a proper test drive as the immediate road gets very busy, exactly what you don't want when testing a muscle car, but convenient accesses to the I-85 provides for a proper test.

We are now proud first-time owners of a Subaru! We were shopping for a new, small SUV and honestly, just happened to notice Tindol Subaru. We did a little research online, decided to stop by Tindol to look at a Forester, and were hooked! Although it was comparably priced to other cars in its category, nothing else in the category compared to it. It is spacious, peppy (even the non-turbo model), gets great gas mileage, has lots of features to choose from, as well as a smooth ride and handling, and was everything we were looking for (and more). Everyone at Tindol Subaru, especially Michelle, was courteous, pleasant, and a breeze to work with. No high pressure sales tactics nor pestering phone calls but always responsive to our phone and email questions. Not to mention we got the car for a really good price. In 40 years of buying cars this was the best experience we've had. We love the Forester and we have nothing but praise for our dealings with Tindol Subaru. If you don't consider a Subaru from Tindol, you've made a mistake!

Where I live (not NC anymore), buying a Subaru was incredibly difficult. They are so popular that it's almost impossible to find a used one. In May of 2013 my wife and I decided it was time to trade our 2010 Nissan Rogue after a rode trip to NY. We went to the Nissan dealer to get options on a new Pathfinder thinking it would afford us more comfort. We were not pleased with our reception and treatment by the sales manager and after purchasing five vehicles in the three preceding years, we were more than a little put off. We came to Tindol just to check out the Outback, knowing we needed an AWL vehicle for our Christmas visits to upstate NY. Robin Anderson was the young lady that showed us the vehicle, explained the features, and let us drive one. We traded the Rogue that day and have been wonderfully surprised by the gas mileage, comfort, handling, and capabilities of our Outback ever since. Following last weeks "snow storm", I drove my wife to work in Charlotte each day and the tracking and handling on slick surfaces was absolutely amazing. I've lived in northern NY most of my life and always had 4WD vehicles, but the Outback has them all beat (other than in 3' of snow when I was in four wheel low, but who knows). My wife was so impressed, this week she bought the Legacy Sport for her commute back and forth. It handles fantastic! Thanks to Robin for patiently answering all of our questions, her friendly and professional mannerism, and for making our buying experience a comfortable one.

Just want to thank you guys for an awesome experience buying our new 2013 Impreza a few days ago. On December 23, 2013 my wife Lydia, son Matthew, and I were involved in a horrible collision with a car that ran a red light in front of us in Albemarle, NC. Our much loved 2009 Forester became airborne, then landed on the drivers side, slide a little, rolled over onto the top and the root slammed into the curb, then our Forester rolled over onto the passenger side. We had four really big impacts in this collision. Our Forester held together pretty well. With Gods help our Forester saved our lives! WE all really Loved that Forester. It had a 102,xxx miles on it. Hardly a day went by that we did not comment about how much we LOVED driving it! We thought it was going to be our car for at LEAST another 300,000 miles! But that was not to be! We are thankful to have survived with relatively minor injuries. After the wreck we all new that our next car would be a Subaru! After shopping three other Subaru dealers and HOURS of internet research we came drove over an hour to Earl Tindol Subaru to look at a beautiful Deep Cherry 2013 Impreza 2.9 Sport. We met with Michelle Coon who treated us like we were life long friends making us feel SO comfortable. Jeremy was AWESOME in helping me to select some optional accessories and then giving us the best deal on Our new Impreza! We drove it home that night. We need two more cars just like this one because we all three want to drive it everywhere, I guess we need to make a driving schedule! I also enjoyed meeting Natalie and telling our story after our purchase. I have worked as a mechanic and in the parts department at two Ford dealerships, a Buick / Subaru dealership, and a Dodge dealership over the last 33 years. I just wish I could have worked for an owner or manager as sweet as Natalie! You guys are Lucky to have such a Great group of people, and we are lucky to have had the opportunity to buy our Impreza from your guys! I contacted Tindol Ford by e-mail and got an immediate response and the e-price for a 2014 Escape SE, Ruby Red. Mo contacted me by telephone and when we arrived at the dealership at 6 p.m. (closing time if 7 p.m.) he had the Escape in the shade, cleaned up and ready to test drive. No photo of drivers license needed, just take off and drive. The paperwork was short and they gave us what we wanted for our 2010 Escape trade-in. The financing, thru Ford Credit, was handled with efficiency and we were on our way with our new 2014 Escape. We love the vehicle and want to say "Thank You" to Tindol Ford and especially to Mo for his assistance and efficiency. From beginning to end, everything said was delivered on. After two disturbing visits with other local dealerships my patience was wearing thin. The saleperson Maurice Wilder along with the staff was NO PRESSURE, NO TACTICS shopping. I advised them from the beginning that I would not be purchasing a vehicle that day. They still took the time to show me vehicles, knew there product line and educated me which truck suited me best, even though the truck I needed was not in there current inventory. Unlike the other dealerships, there was no switch and baits, they didn't needlessy make you sit their for hours on end having to run credit checks, checking the value of my trade in and insultly asking me where my numbers came from. Even the managers were genuine, there was no "what do we have to do in getting you in this car today". Once purchased, and the sale complete, the salesman added free oil changes, Siruis/xm, spent the time to show me all the features and even synched my gadgets to the truck. He didn't want me to leave until he was comfortable that I was comfortable with everything. Very reassuring... One of the best experiences ever.

This was the best car buying experience i have ever recieved. My husband and I drove up from Atlanta Georgia to purchase a Nissan Maxima we had spoken with Ronald via phone on a Wednesday and was picking the car up on that Friday of the same week. We were able to get the car at the amount we could afford, where as here in Georgia we couldn't. Everything Ronald promised was done with no hassle we drove 300 miles and was done in 30 minutes with all the paperwork signing and test driving! We came up on faith and i read all reviews and seen nothing but positive feed back. All i can say is this type of service you can't really even put into words it was just that great! Tindol was well worth the drive and i will do it all over again with out even thinking twice. They come highly recommend in my book!!

Super Good Experience. We drove away in a 2013 Explorer. My family and I were in the market for a new vehicle. After contacting several dealerships and salespeople around the region, my father recommended looking at EARL TINDOL FORD. Associates GORDON HAYGOOD and LUIS RIVAS were very professional, and no sales pressure. Every promise fulfilled. While the sales area was busy with other customers and sales associates, these two stayed remained focused on meeting our every need. After closing the deal, they remain genuinely interested in our satisfaction. This is not our first time doing business with Gordon Haygood. Turns out my wife and I had purchased used vehicles from him back in the late 90's and again in 2003. He backed up every promise on those vehicle purchases as well. Our advice to anyone looking for a good deal and no hassle...no regrets...shop at Tindol first.

Gordon Haygood was upright and clear from the first contact through the end of the deal. I never felt like he was hiding any information. Additionally, he was the ONLY salesperson I dealt with that gave me a quote over email. This made my decision to use Tindol easy, even though their facility was the furthest from my house. I would drive the extra distance every time in order to get such professional and concise service.

Buying a new Subaru Outback from Tindol was a good experience. And being able to test drive the Outback overnight was especially important because we needed to know how easily my wife could get in and out of the car. The Chevy Impala that we traded was too low for her and our Chevy Suburban is a bit high. We needed something in between. Robin Anderson was especially helpful and made us very comfortable during the buying process. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had.

Overall excellant. Only 2 comments. the sales manager presented us with extended warrenty data after we had negotiated the price and trade in. this Faux Pas left us a bit resentful. While we had not considered extending our warrenty, the sales asociate and the sales manager could have introduced this information prior to completion of negotiations. We had parked in handicap spaces, after evaluating our trade in, your staff had parked the car in a regular space and there were two new cars being processed in the handicaped spaces. This necessitated moving the car before I could get in. It also showed a lack of appriciation of the marked handicap spaces in your own showroom parking lot.

I live an hour and 15 minutes drive away with 3-4 other Subaru service depts that were closer, but it was well worth the extra miles to Tindol in Gastonia. Michael, the Service Manager, explained what I would need for the 15,000 mile service, how their service department operates and after our discussion, I decided to try Tindol. It was a great experience, I felt they were honest and fair, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Thank you!

I had not planned to buy a car so fast but the deal was good and I walked away a few hours later with a new Subaru and I could not have been more happy with the purchase. I live in CT and was looking for a 13 f150 fx4 with the appearance package. I went to 5 Ford dealerships in CT all of which were antiquated, unhelpful, rude, and out of touch. The dealerships in Connecticut cared about was lining their pockets. I reached out to several adds on cars.com a received an instant response from Mr. Wilder at Tindol Ford in Gastonia, NC. Within 48 hours I had established a great rapport with Mr. Wilder who was open, honest, responsive and genuinely wanted to help me buy my vehicle. Within three days I decided to purchase my truck and loved the service so much I drive 1600 total miles to purchase it. Best prices, beat employees would recommend, too bad I can't take it there for service!

I was looking at 2013 Mustangs on the internet, and found a very nice candy red Mustang at Tindol Ford. However, I am in Orlando, Florida, and was somewhat hesitant to buy a car site unseen and 500+ miles away. But Tindol Ford had many nice pictures showing the car, both inside and out, and had the Car Fax report which also gave a level of confidence of the status of the car. Pictures are great, but seeing the car in person is better of course. And being 500+ miles away, I couldn't just go down to the lot and see it in person. So, I had to rely on my contact, Russ Shytles, to answer questions, and he was very helpful answering questions about the car, and I read a review of a guy in Atlanta that bought a vehicle site unseen from Tindol Ford and had it delivered to him in Atlanta. So, we reached a deal on the car, I gave a deposit over the phone, and flew up to buy the car. The pictures were very good, but the car looked even better in person. I had a tag from a previous car I could transfer over, so there were some questions on how that would work. And the transaction went very well considering I am from Florida. So, any problems and that would have been a problem since I couldn't go home and come back, home was in Orlando, Fla. The Mustang was great on the drive back to Florida with no problems, 32 MPG on the interstate. This was a Mustang Premium with the pony package, comfort package, and backup camera, and a gorgeous candy red. And the price was very reasonable compared to other 2013 Mustangs I saw for sale on the internet. I would recommend Tindol Ford, and out of town or state buyers can be assured that things will go without problems. I believe Tindol Ford to be an honest dealership, and nice folks to do business with.

I found this dealership online while price shopping for a 2013 Ford Focus. They had the best sticker price around, so I contacted them via internet to make a deal. after having a local shop estimate a repair to my daughters car decided to take it to a dealer to have there opinion. They were $600 cheaper then the mom and pop shop and instead of needing a head gasket it needed a tune up. Cars running great tindal ford did a great job and got it done quick. Maybe I was crazy to purchase a vehicle sight unseen but I did and the experience was superior in every way. From the personal attention: the sales person knew I was on a time-crunch and spent the concentated time needed for me to feel comfortable w the purchase, through the delivery: the attention to detail was exceptional - the finance manager had everything maticulously in place and the gentleman who delivered the truck was exceptional! The purchase was a Christmas day surprise for my wife and Tindol went above and beyond to make this a success. Maybe this wouldn't be as big of a deal if I lived in the in the Charlotte area but we are from Atlanta.

I live in Charlotte, and instead of visiting the Subaru dealer 3 miles from my house, I drive the almost 30 miles to Tindol. I bring both Subarus for regular service and anything else. I bought my 2011 Fusion at Tindol Ford and I get my service done there as well. I have always been satisfied or better with all of my service at Tindol. The staff is great and friendly. The buying process was easy as well.

I have had this car serviced at Tindol Ford before and have recieved great service. This time my Wife took the car in and she felt very comfortable while she waited the only problem she had was the popcorn was out and when someone made a fresh batch they call her to pickup her car and she didn't get any popcorn. Thanks for making women safe and welcome while waiting.

I came to Tindol Ford just to look at a new 2012 Ford F-150. I actually had every intention of looking at it and then going on to look at a Toyota Tocoma. Well, I never made it to the Toyota dealer and drove off the lot at Tindol with my new F-150. The entire process was very good with no high pressure sales techniques. The salesman was very knowledgable about the truck and the sales manager was very professional. I would recommend Tindol Ford to everybody.

My experience with Tindol Ford was excellent. I was met promptly when dropping off my vehicle for servicing, and the service attendant was very prompt to take note of what needed to be done on my vehicle. My vehicle was also ready in a timely manner. All of the staff at Tindol Ford that I came in contact with during my visit were very professional.

These were done well and quick. The indicator light saying tire air pressure would not go off. I will have to go back to see about getting that light to go off. The tire air pressure was correct.

My experience with Tindol Ford has been terrific, although my original purpose for going there was to deal with Rick Hodges, whom I've know for many years. He's the kind of guy anyone would love to deal with...courteous, straight talking, and a fair price. On one visit, Natalie Tindol sat down for a nice chat. Warm and likeable, I can see why she is a respected and successful business owner and is currently president of the NCADA. I encourage anyone to consider Tindol when shopping for a dealership...not just a car.

Like I stated in my first review; the service was great. The only Issue there wasn't enough help with the wash service. They were backed up. If I had known I would of had my wife come and pick me up and came back later when they finished. Thanks G.Maples

The alignment was ready when promised, and the use of the loaner vehicle extremely helpful to me. Service manager helped with a small repair (light bulb near dash) in extremely nice and helpful manner. Staff appear very consumer oriented and helpful.

I queried for a F150 FX4 and this dealer came up with a F150 FX4, but when you open the ad it isn't a FX4. Not sure who would want to do business with a dealer that doesn't know their own vehicles.
