After months of dealing with a constant issue with my truck I decided to take it into a auto repair shop. To no avail with this auto repair shop, I then decided to fix the issue myself. That resulted in not getting the issue resolved as well. Feeling completely frustrated I did one last attempt to get the issue taken care of and went to Tipton Ford and Man am I glad I did. Thank you to Advisor Alana V. for the great customer service and a very big Thank you to Technician Jose for diagnosing the issue with my truck and get it resolved in less than 2hrs. This is probably the first time I have left so frustrated with my service. I went in and had asked for oil change, state inspection, possibly in need of new set of windshield wiper blades, and any general maintenance that might need to be addressed. When the young man came to tell me my car was ready I asked again about the windshield wiper blades and he assured me mine were fine, I asked about the piece of paper to show proof of my inspection and he said it was on the dashboard of my car. I paid my invoice and went to my car but I found no paper showing the inspection had been done. I went back inside and questioned about my inspection and the young man walked back out to my car and looked for the inspection paper (like I didn't know what I was looking for). He went back into the service area and returned to let me know the inspection had not been done. I gave him my keys again and went and sat again to wait. He then returned again to let me know that yes the wiper blades did need to be replaced, so obviously they had not been checked the first time. Inspection done and blades replaced I paid the new invoice and of course I had another labor charge (it would seem to me if all this had been done the first time I wouldn't have had two separate labor charges). Now with all this said I understand the young man had only had this job position for a few weeks, but does he not have a supervisor that should be making certain that he is following through on the work orders? And I also drive an hour to and from Tipton because they have been my dealership for many years now from my home. If I had not been on my toes and did not question my service and had drove home an hour away thinking all was right, I'm not sure how I would have responded. I'm retired and only get social security so I have to budget my money and time very close. To have had to make a second trip back to Nacogdoches would have been very difficult to almost impossible even in the same month much less the same day.

This was the 3rd time taking my beast to Tipton Ford and it has always been a great experience. Now this would not be completely all good but the problem I had was not with the dealership,but with Ford itself. It seems the lugnuts they put on at the factory swells and you can't get the right impact socket on it. Now my way of thinking is if it's a flaw then I shouldn't have to pay for it,but I did. As far as Tipton goes a very good dealer. The young lady I deal with is great I can not express my gladness with her

Tipton's Service Dept. is top-notch. Prompt, attentive to the customer, and doing first-rate work. They are dependable. When shopping for a car, excellent service makes a difference to me when it comes to deciding which dealer to use. It's why I've bought three cars from Tipton and will probably buy my next one from them. One minor complaint: I grow weary of blaring TV's in the customer waiting area with the same loud, controversial "news." Why not the weather channel? Or sports? Or anything else? My solution is to carry a book and go to another part of the dealership or go across the street to the coffee shop.

I cannot say enough about the entire staff in the Service Department. My car was checked thoroughly for the items that were on my sticker. The Brakes, Oil and Tires. Everything checkedout perfectly. The Service Manager even drove with me around the lot as I told him I heard a noise when I made a sharp turn as though the tires were scraping against something. When I mentioned that my husband had passed away in February and that having the car checked on my own was new to me, he even had my car washed for me. I was treated with such kindness and respect.I wrote to the Daily Sentinel for a Shout Out for Tipton Ford, and especially the service dept. and urged others who want great service in taking care of their cars to go there. Marney was a great service contact. I appreciate the once over given to my vehicle when it is in for service. The problem that required service turned out to be a faulty sensor that was a recognized Ford problem (likely a recall item) because fortunately I was not charged for this service. I didn't purchase my ford from Tipton because another dealer tried harder and made me a much better deal. Because of the excellent service department at Tipton, I'll likely give Tipton a much better chance to sell me my next Ford truck.

Staff was very accommodating. I took my vehicle in for an oil and fuel filter change. I was informed that there was a recall on my PCM. A service technician updated the PCM. Directly after the update, my fuel gauge would periodically not register. I was told my fuel level sender was malfunctioning and would need to be replaced. I was also informed this part was no longer under warranty and would cost me approximately $700. I have had no issues with my vehicle until the recall was performed on my truck. This is the only negative thing I can say and it really doesn't apply to the dealership.

I have a 2014 Explorer. I brought it in because the my sync has never worked well from the beginning. It worked for a few times after they worked on the car, but the next day it was doing the same thing again. Also this winter, the low tire pressure warning has been acting crazy. I think it is just the car and I am going to be stuck with it. The service is always great at Tipton, and so is the staff. I think the my sync is just not that good of a product. I am not at all pleased with it.

I entered the dealer's lounge only to look at a 3-seater to plan maybe a purchase. I am retired and the payment had to be a low payment each month. Mr. Wallace a salesman helped me tremendously. I appreciated the courtesy that was given to me that day. I ended up getting a deal( the payment was not what I expected-a little higher that what I needed but I went along with the deal), simply because of the way Mr. Wallace presented the vehicle to me. I love the 2011-Dodge Journey; the way it drives, the price of the vehicle- I think was reasonable for the year of the car,I would love to have had GPS included, ( but it wasn't an option)the interior of the vehicle, the color, the size, what it offers, etc. What displeases me a lot is the engine light coming on and the crack on the windshield. Those things should be corrected but will have to be handled later on the road, because of my finances. Every time, that I bought the car in concerning the engine light coming on-the service personnel were very courteous and helpful. Mr. Wallace is a very good salesperson. He's patient, kind, pleasant and knows his vehicle even if isn't a Ford. I commend all other employees there at Tipton Ford- they also greeted me with kindness. Thank you.

Quick service, friendly customer reps. Kept me informed through the process. I was back on the road in just a day. When I asked for help in determining if trading the vehicle in might be a better choice, service reps quickly evaluated their portion and arranged a meeting with sales staff. We didn't go that route, but service reps and sales manager made sure I knew all my options. Also - the young lady who works the check-out register and answers phones, stayed a bit late when I let her know I was in a meeting and would arrive right at closing time - or a few minutes after. She is very professional yet friendly in her approach. I have seen others frustrated a bit with this very tough job over the years. I know she likely gets the brunt of many busy customer interactions. She is always friendly, sympathetic with those faced with a bit of sticker shock. She creates an atmosphere of care and support from the dealership for its customers.

The 2007 MKX had to go to the dealership because it had interrupted (sputtering) power and couldn't be driven over 45-50 mph. Since we live in the country and use major highways w/75 mph speeds to get to town, this presented a major problem. The dealership immediately responded by sending a tow truck to pick up the car and very shortly diagnosed the problem: rodent infestation and insulation chewed off some wires and other wires chewed in too. Turns out this area has seen a significant rise in this type problem the year which is attributed to very high rainfall since January which drove rodents out of their natural habitat into 'new' habitit and the insulation on wiring has vegetable oil in it's production producing a magnet to draw the rodents looking for food in a new habitat.The dealership made the necessary repairs promptly, reviewed the extended warranty on the vehicle and determined this damage was not covered and suggested we review our auto insurance w/State Farm who advised it was covered w/a $100 deductible and the payment was made. Our hats off to folks at the dealership, especially Shelton who is a new employee. While he learned a lot from this experience (and what better place to learn), he had to ask Jeremy and other senior service advisers questions, the job was done professionally, timely, reasonable priced and all in a high quality of 'great customer service'.......wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else for service.

I recently purchased 2 new 2015 F350 DRW trucks from Tipton Ford. The staff was great and the service was top notch. I regularly take my vehicles (and I own 7 ford trucks) to Tipton for service because the quality of repairs is very high and while the cost at the dealership may be a little higher than the cost at independent repair facilities, the long term value is much better. He is quite new to the business he told me but certainly knew everything about Mustangs. He explained to me how the new engine works and how efficient it will be. In all the years I've dealt with you, only once have I been annoyed: PREVIOUS maintenance, not this one, the garage crew left black smudgy hand prints all over the side of the hood nearest the batteryThat brings to mind my only idea for improving your automobile service -- my former Houston Nissan dealer always had car wash available, for small extra charge, and the guys were glad to get tips for a nice wash.(And as you see that did not prevent me from switching to Ford!!) :-)BUT,about your customer lobby: I will add that I find the policy of keeping the weather channel TV volume MUTE, and having to hear your ever-present FOX channel on the other TV, clutters my ability to think, or to work on my own job stuff, and I need to know the weather commentary. My work is out of doors and the priority there is ABSOLUTELY NOT politics! CSpan would be acceptable at a lower volume, as long as I could also hear the weather on the other TV. I would like to thank your dealership and Jeremy Terrell for the service I recd this past Saturday. My son attends SFA and plays baseball for the Lumberjacks. His 2011 F-150 stopped running a few days ago and would not start. I arrived to SFA late Friday afternoon. My Mustang was recalled for a faulty airbag inflater. I called the dealership and was told that the repair kit was in stock and that installation would take about an hour. I took the car in, and an hour later was on my way. I appreciate that the Service Representative recognized me and was very personal with me.I chose to wait for my oil change this time, and the waiting area was clean and well stocked with reading material, TVs, and refreshments. That was very nice. Also there was a charging station that I really needed for my phone. It was quick and efficient. Thank you very much.

My Ford Flex only needed a new bulb for my rear turn signal, but Tipton Ford is the only place I would take my car. While we waited in their clean and comfortable waiting room, we enjoyed cold water and snacks. It was less than 15 minutes before Jeremy let us know that our car was ready to go. At the checkout, Jeremy showed me where the service dept had checked out my car for any other potential problems. Tipton Ford has always given me great service and is one of the reasons why I bought my Flex from them.

Purchased a 2011 Mustang and brought it in for service after 10 months of driving because of engin noise. Service manager told it need a new engin because it had spun a rod bearing. Had a very difficult time getting this approved under a warranted repair. Ford did finally agree to replace the engin under the warranty. Now dealership is unable to locate a suitable replacement engin and/or parts, dealership is pointing the finger at Ford saying its their fault they have not been able to get the parts they need to fix my car. Called Ford customer care and they are pointing the finger at another division of Ford for the issue. Not getting any help from anyone, would not recommend a Ford or this dealership to anyone. Vehicle has been at dealership since 01/09/2012.

When there with a what I thought wase a transmission problem, it turned out not to be a problem at all. It must have been a fuel filter problem, but Excel Lub had had changed it the day before my appointment. Which took 3 days to get. The Tipton Ford is over a hours drive and they said to being it in eary, so my wife and I drove to Nacogdoches the evening before and stayed at a local hotel. We took the truck in at 7:15 AM and someone signed me in and told them to check the transmission, adjust the shifting linkage, and make a new key and call me when they checked the transmission and let me know something. First off let me say they (Dan) never called me. At 10:15 AM I called him and he said the transmission guy was looking at it and he would call and let me know something, 11:15 AM I called back and he was gone to lunch, 1:15 I called and the guy was not thourgh checking it out. 1:50 PM which was check out time at the hotel I called for a ride back to the service center. When I got back Dan, said we could not find a problem with the transmission, (Great), and we are still trying to make a key, Third try, and the linkage needs a $169.00 part that they can get by tomorrow, but it would be the next week before they could get me back in to put the part on. At about 4:00 PM I had my truck back after paying $149.00 bill. That was for checking out the transmission and one key. The next day the (check engine soon) light came on and I checked it out myself and found a hose cut on the ERG system. I hope and pray it was not done on purpose and it just split on its on. I am writting this in case it happens to other folks that trust this guys. In the passed I have had good service from these folks. But, they failed me this time.Admen: 6/29/2008(((Hose was rotten and slit on its on)))
