My recent visit was for an oil change and regular maintenance. After they ran an inspection, I worked with Sherry with the details on what my car needed. They found I needed new tires (all 4 of them). The type of tires I would need are not commonly in stock because of the size. It would take 10 days for them to arrive or I could choose some very expensive ones in the area that could be installed the next day. The cost for those were extremely high and way out of my budget. I was stressed out and sad placing my order for the cheaper ones. I begin to tear up thinking about what kind of danger I was putting my family in driving around with bald tires because I didn't have the money for the expensive ones. At that moment things turned around for me, it's because of Sherry! Sherry was concerned about our situation, she did some research and found tires in the area, the right size, available right away and at an amazing price. She went the extra mile to ensure the safety for me and my family, it meant so much to us and showed she really cared. She was a delight to work with and my car was ready the next day and drove like a dream :) Thank you Sherry, for keeping us informed and fixing what was a stressful situation into a calm one!!

The staff was very friendly and in particular Eli did great & was the one who kept be updated through it all. Whenever I had a question he was always very quick to get back with me. Ii drove in and was greeted by a young man named Tyler who helped me to the right dealership for the type of car I was looking for. He was knowledgeable about the cars and patient with my questions and I felt like he really wanted to help me find the right car without forcing me to test drive it or sit down with numbers like the previous dealers. He introduced me to Mr. Smiley, who knew more than I thought to ask about the car. He was funny and really knew his stuff. Together they helped me find the right car at a great deal too. I went to your dealership due to the satisfaction with my Hyundai 2007 Veracruz. I am very happy with the Hyundai brand.I wanted a smaller SUV than I currently have. I was glad to find the 2016's were at employee pricing. Since I was paying cash for the vehicle, I knew what I wanted and told the salesperson which one and that to come back with the best price possible out the door.What I didn't expect was the length of time it takes to wait for someone to talk to me about add ones to the vehicle.I went to financing right afterwards to be given yet another sales pitch to buy extended warranties ect. I would wish when you have a customer who knows what they want and don't want, they should be listened to.

Went to Tony Hyundai after visiting another dealership and was ready for the same old pushy dealer that has to "check with my manager" for every little thing. Was pleasantly surprised by how opposite it was. Ken Smiley helped us out and was awesome. Gave info without trying to push us in a specific direction and let us just look around a bit. We didn't get the "check with my manager" line ever and only met the manager briefly after we had decided to buy. Jason was very helpful with financing and helped us even after we decided to finance through our non-affiliated credit union. It had been almost 20 years since my last new car purchase, but won't be that long again until I come back to Tony Hyundai.

Joshua M. was referred by a friend. I had been to a few dealerships previously and I did not want a salesman pressuring me or assuming I'm going home with a car because I test drove one. Josh was patient, friendly, and didn't pressure me at all. I left the first day with nothing, he checked in with me the following day and I returned. He talked me through what specific features I was looking for, any particular cars, etc. I had never bought a new car before so this was a different experience for me, and I was clueless. Josh educated me on a good variety of cars and what they featured, and we ended up test driving a car that I absolutely fell in love with. I used the My Deal platform to search for used cars suiting my needs. I loved the platform and the ability to interact with the dealer via email. I found 2 cars I wanted to look at, made an appt and came in. I met with John Kato and he assigned Sarah Dias to assist us. Sarah was awesome and made us feel comfortable. Sarah told us there was a sale going on and so we looked at a nicer car than the other 2 cars we originally planned to look at. We got a great deal on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. Sales was not aggressive and the finance department did not try to offer anything we didn't need. Since we arrived at the dealership after 6pm, finance mentioned we may have to return to resign documents if I received a lower rate. He was right. I did receive almost 4% off my loan with another financial institution. Overall "Great Experience"!

My I took my car in to have my bumper protector installed, the staff at the service department was so friendly and helpful especially Ashley Wong. Dealing with the Tony Hyundai Service Department was a complete headache. My husband and I took both our vehicles to the Tony Hyundai Waipahu Service Department because they handed out free inspection coupons and wish I would've went somewhere else. It took hours for the initial inspection and after going to the DMV to get our vehicle registered we went back for the final inspection because someone told me as long as we were back by 430 pm we could get it done in the same day but when we got there we were told the inspectors leave at 4pm. We wasted hours to get an inspection done, time rushing around for no reason just to be misinformed and live a hour away. The manager didn't seem to really care how badly we had been inconvenienced. Dealing with their service department was not worth the hassle or headache at all. Highly recommend going somewhere else even if you have a free inspection coupon. The actual service advisor we dealt with was friendly enough but I really wish we would have just gone somewhere else.

The whole sales experience was great....but a few days ago I brought my car in to add accessories like tint, rust proofing, etc. and was notified by the service dept. that there was a scratch on the top right corner of the windsheild on the inside that was a little too deep to buff out so I chose not to tint it. Ashley was great in calling me to let me know about the scratch and that she spoke to the sales manager ( I don't recall his name) about it but his response was that he wouldnt have sold the car in that condition....implying that I had scratched the windsheild in the 14 days that I had the vehicle? First of all the scratch is difficult to see and if Ashley didnt point it out too me, I honestly would never have known it was there. I was told that I could purchase another windsheild...BUT I really dont think I should have to pay for it when..it was obviously in that condition when I purchased it. I was able to get a refund for the tint...But now I am so disappointed...I think something more could have been done...I mean I love my car, but now I would have to think twice about coming back to this business.08/25/16 Update: Just got off the phone with Ken Smiley and after letting him know the situation, he took care of everything! Amazing service and I am SO happy!! Thank you Ken!!

That's how my husband and I felt about purchasing the Hyundai Veloster on the very same day that he decided to buy his Azera. He saw how I kept looking over at the various Velosters on the lot. With Henry's expertise and patience, we were able to begin another discussion about possibly purchasing the Veloster, which meant a couple more hours of talking, test driving, calculating, number-crunching, etc. Through it all, Henry and his boss, Allan, helped us to reach the final decision to trade in a fairly new and beautiful Mercedes so that I, too, could get a new Hyundai. I kinda did some fast numbers on scratch paper, and when I showed them to Henry and Allan, they immediately saw my reasoning. Allan, Henry, and I were all on the same page with the logic behind trading in the 2014 Mercedes and worked together to help my husband, George, see the long-term benefits of making the trade-in and purchase now rather than later. Thanks, guys! I am soooooooooooo loving my Veloster ... it's sporty and young ... yet classy at the same time. I'm glad Henry recommended the upgraded Turbo model as I was quite content with the base model. In a non-pressuring way, he pointed out the advantages and had me drive both models. My husband had already pulled the trigger and said yes on my Veloster prior to that point. Henry helped to point out some excellent features on the Turbo model (push-button start, more power, etc.), and my husband -- being a very smart and generous guy -- had no problem upgrading to that model. Now, it was HE, Henry, and Allan trying to explain the logic of the upgrade TO ME. I eventually agreed (even though more money), and I am glad I did. I enjoy the Turbo model more than I can say. Flitting around Oahu in my sparkling, new Veloster, I truly am the happy wife!

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. My wife took our 2013 Hyundai Sonata to the Waipahu Tony Hyundai for an issue. Your team was great at getting her checked in, acknowledging the problem with our car and such. It was when the car was about to be finished that a problem arose. Your technician tried to tell her that our cars cabin air filter need to be changed, giving it a red triangle, and that the engine air filter needed to be changed, giving it a yellow square. The two items mentioned were both replaced by myself on 14 April 2016. There is now way that they are both bad and need to be changed! The technician on my inspection sheet is Garren Tonaki. I dont appreciate your dealership trying to get my wife to have these services performed, when they are not needed! This is NOT Good Business. I have never had a problem at your dealership before, then again I was always the one bringing in our car. On the surface this looks like someone trying to take advantage of a female customer. I would hope this is not the case, but more of a case where the technician is not properly trained in these areas. I look forward to and welcome your comments on this matter. Have a great day.

Ken Smiley was great to deal with. We booked a test drive online and he called immediately to schedule a time. He was waiting for us when we arrived. Ken showed us the cars we wanted to see and kept the experience simple and sharp. The negotiating process went well and I got the price I wanted to pay. If I was judging only on the sales experience my rating would be 5 stars!We found body damage on the bumper that they needed to repair. We were promised Thursday pick up for sure, but probably Wednesday. With no news on Wednesday I began the calling, hold, transfer, disconnect, please push this number for this option, ringing, transfer, hold, ringing, no knowledge process to my wits end. One person said they hadn't begun. Another said Friday. Yet another said 1:30 that day. I finally got a call at 4:30 saying it was ready for pick up! Seriously? I live in town and you want me to get it at 5:00??? We picked it up on Friday. It was beautiful. Still, I'm really hoping that Hyundai service in town is a much better experience.

I was looking online through their website and was contacted through email by John and Sean. They answered questions I had about their rebates in a very timely manner. A friend told me about going through the Costco auto program and I did and was called back promptly by Ken. Went down to Tony Hyundai and since Ken was with a customer he had Josh take me to see the car I was interested in. Josh was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me pick out a color and I test drove the car back to the dealership. There was no negotiating and I was given a price which I thought was fair. Didn't want to make any decisions at that time so I took the weekend to think about it. Called Josh back after like 4 days and told him I finally made up my mind. Went back to Tony Hyundai and signed all the paperwork. Josh went through all the cars features with me and I was driving my new car home in just an hour. I would recommend anyone wanting to buy a Hyundai (which they have done a really good job in restyling the looks on their cars) to see Josh for an easygoing, painless, and pleasant experience. Posted the review below for our first car and got a great deal for a second new car! Highly recommend Tony Hyundai!Came to Tony Hyundai at the Autoplex after the Car Show to test drive a vehicle that piqued our interest at the show. After we arrived at the dealership (parked our car in a guest stall), we decided to look around at the inventory they had on the lot. This was nice because we were able to look at our own pace without anyone asking us questions. When we finally had questions to ask, we went into the main showroom area. All the sellers were busy with other clients so we looked around at the cars displayed in the showroom. We finally made our way to the display book with the breakdown of each car model when Josh approached and asked if we've been helped yet. We told him no and that began a very long but enjoyable journey to finding our new car. He asked the appropriate questions, ie what model are you interested in? What are your specific wants? Questions that would help you decide whether what you are interested is really what you want in the end.We test drove the model we inquired about from the Auto show. Both freeway and surface streets to get a good feeling. We turned into a parking lot to practice reverse parking the car. After we returned to the dealership, we sat with him to talk numbers. Yay, the fun part of car shopping. Whoever has bought/leased a car knows the joy of going through this part of the transaction. It can be the one thing that gives you a headache and could lead to rash decision making. Even though we did have a lot of back and forward with their finance guy, Josh was really helpful through the process. We never once felt like we were a number to him. At the end of this day, we didn't buy the car but had to think about it and crunch a little more numbers. We did say that we would sleep on it and let him know if we were planning on returning in a couple days.Day 2 - we made it back to talk more numbers and to get to a point where we felt comfortable. After we settled on one vehicle, we asked to test drive another... This was a different model from the first vehicle we chose. The test drive went well and we were back to talk more numbers. Again, going back and forward with their finance guy but eventually settling on a price we were comfortable with. (Throughout the whole process, we still felt very cared for by the entire team) After the necessary paper work was complete, we met with Jason their Business Manager. At this point in the transaction, this is where you sign all the legal documents and decided on additional coverage for the vehicle depending if you are leasing or buying. When we finally met with Jason, it was about 9pm-ish and we were all beat. But we all powered through this and left this evening without taking any vehicle home but with the "SOLD" sign on both cars.Day 3 - came back to pick up one car and the necessary manuals that come with the car. You get asked if you want to purchase the blue link featured at a discounted rate. If you decide not to, you will not be able to get the price at discount but will need to pay full amount after the trial period. We signed a little more papers with Jason because that is what you do when you have a few days to think about stuff and want to change it. After that, Josh was waiting for us to show us the car features inside and out. We then were asked to take a picture with the car and the transaction was complete! One car down, one more to go.It was the most pleasant experience I've ever had when walking onto a dealership lot. They normally are just waiting for you to get out of your vehicle and came at you before you can really look at your own pace to decide what you really want. The team at Tony Hyundai have great customer service and know how to ease into the process. We will definitely refer our friends and family to Tony Hyundai at the Autoplex. We will be back on the weekend to pick up our other car.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd chose 7 since the first time I brought my car for the alignment problem it was not a complete check at all. I paid a lot for the service but turn out the problem was still there when I took it back. So the second time around I asked to change my tires like first time but it was like the agent was ignoring what I suggested into what him and the mechanic suggested. They only change my back tires the first time but even ignored my suggestion the second time. End up redo my alignment with no charge, airbag - cost too much, and not even my tires again. I paid too much money for nothing. Customer service is not good since the agents and the cashiers are really not that friendly. I would recommend your service to none of my friends and families.

Previously, my husband and I went to Tony Honda in Waipahu and we waited over 10 minutes to get customer service. Dismayed, we left Tony Honda assuming that this dealership felt comfortable with their product that they could have a customer wait greater than 10 minutes to be serviced. Over an hour for just an oil change with an appointment. That's ridiculous. Increasing the prices for an oil change by 25% when oil prices are falling. That's greedy and a show of not giving a crap about your customers. Plus we've had too many crummy experiences in the past with Tony Hyundai. Once I get past the smiling faces all the good service disappears.

Gina, the Assistant Service Manager, gives the best customer service. I have been a customer here since 2010, and have never received better service than I had during my last servicing. Had a problem with my steering (which I reported before) and Gina was the only that took the extra time to find the problem. Henry was super patient throughout the entire car-buying process, especially because when I walked into the dealership, I wasn't certain which model I wanted nor which trim! After taking the potential models for a test drive and asking a ton of questions--which Henry patiently answered--I was able to narrow it down and finally decide on a Sonata Sport. After deciding on the trim, I was referred to Angie who provided me with information regarding additional add-ons/accessories. I'm happy to say it was a no-pressure experience and I did not feel as if they were trying to sell me things I did not need. However, as I am a big fan of reverse sensors, I opted to have those installed. Because I added the sensors, I couldn't take same day delivery, but they were able to expedite the installation and I was able to pick up my car the very next day! Not only was my car-buying experience a positive one, but I'm also so thrilled with my new car!

This is my 3rd Hyundai (2nd Sonata) purchase and what was great was the very short amount of time I spent at the dealership. It was about 4 hours to test drive, choose, finance and drive out. Friendly staff is a definite plus as well. Hindsight though, I don't believe I got the max for my trade in and this new car was a bit overpriced. With my other two purchases I got the first 5 oil changes free, that would have been nice with this purchases as well but this dealer does not offer it. Maybe that is something that the Tony Group could take into consideration.

I have been bringing my Hyundai to this service center since I got it.Check in & Service technicians are always polite.Service on 12/07 was quick.Technician didn't let me know the final amount when the service was done. (I think I should be told before I get to the cashier.) Otherwise Gina was great.Cashiers were only "OK" as always. If they rec'd the same customer service training as the service techs this place would be EXCELLENT. They are the last contact in the service experience and can take great service 'over the top'.One last item: If the dealer would just give the 'coupon' or 'best' prices automatically without customers having to bring coupons and wonder which one is best that would take the entire experience OVER THE TOP. Continue to let us know about the specials - it will bring in the customers, but sometimes we forget to check for coupons or forget to bring them in. What a wonderful surprise it would be to be informed, "This month we have a special on..... and you will be given that price instead of the regular price of....$xxx."

With coupon changing oil is so reasonable. You get a car wash coupon too. Waiting room is pleasant to wait in, with coffee and clean restrooms. The Tony Group at Ka Uka Blvd is the best place to purchase a vehicle. The salespersons from each showroom are very courteous and willing to help in any way possible. It was a tough choice to make, but the Hyundai Sales staff took the cake and toppings of all of the vehicles there. Ken Smiley was our sales person and he took us to the extent of his ability to show us what type of vehicle we really wanted., He spoke with us for about 2 hours on the pros and cons of their vehicles. He really knows his business and I consider him to be the top sales person there. We finally decided on the Santa Fe Sport and the pricing was just in our budget. My wife was totally pleased with the performance that he gave us. He took us through the service staff, to financing and most of all the general manager Allan Capella. We were lucky to have Alan on our side , he had help us alot and gave us a good deal..overall everything was okay. The only thing I'm concern is the Service Dept. When I had taken my car in for the Itrax System, Tinting my windows and Rustproofing, Jay had help me, but when I had pick up my car, Jay wasn't there, so, I went to another service person, I had told her I'm picking up, she said to go to the cashier, so I did. She had ask my name gave me my paper work an said ok. So I had to ask her where is my car, she said its right outside and I pointed a left direction and she said yes, for one thing there was no communication about my car and no service person had explain anything of what they actually did. Then we went out to get my car, she gave us the wrong direction, we had walk to where she had said, no car, because she had me point the wrong way.. I think the customer service should be more aware of what they are doing and be more friendly.

I was definitely not sure what to expect from the dealership because I never owned a Hyundai vehicle. The customer service was outstanding, personnel were very friendly and accommodating, and did not seem to be overly aggressive. It was definitely pleasing to be offered the many discounts that were applicable to my situation, and it helped the car leasing experience 100% better than I expected. Giving customers a full tank of gas to leave the dealership is one of the many customer services that will keep us returning because the small gesture show that the dealership cares and is willing to make its customers happy. i had an appt set for 820am but got there at 830a. i wanted a safety check,spark plug replacement,and timing/drive belts changed. around 415pm i was told my belts were changed,informed dont need to replace plugs yet, but safety check failed!! (tires and wipers failed) the wipers were purchased from them in sept 2014(5 months ago). what was bad form? that i was told at 415pm that failure! this should have been told to me earlier in the day so i could have substituted the belts for the tires and wipers instead to pass the safety. could have rescheduled the belt change later to save money. now i have to pay more for tires and wipers along with the belt charge to get my safety by the 28th of feb.

One of their suggestions after an oil change in 2014 was that my brake pads need to be changed, On January 19, 2015 I took my car in and had it done with Jay Dalit as my service advisor. Two weeks later, I experience a screeching sound coming from the rear everytime I braked. I was quite upset since they had told me I had time to get that taken cared of. Being a single parent and on limited income was my main concern as these services are not inexpensive. Jay Dalit was concerned and understood my dilemma. He made sure that I had a rental car so I wouldn't miss work. On Monday February 2, 2015 I had an appointment; however, Jay was out ill and Ashley Wong made sure that my needs were met. Great customer service on the part of both of them is the reason why I keep coming back! I've also referred my friends and family if they have servicing needs as well.

Had trouble starting my car up that morning. When my husband finally got it started for me, I drove straight to the dealer service department. Even though they were booked completely for the next couple of months, they fit me in and immediately serviced my car. We walked around for a while in the blazing hot sun looking for a cheap car... Lame! What was I thinking...Then Ken suggested that we sit down and look through the computer for the right car in the air-conditioner. (Yeah! Let's do that). Hoping to find the right one a used Honda Civic caught my eye and it was traded in I believe that day. So we went out looking for it but it so happened it could not be found. We looked at a few spots in the car lot where it was supposedly located. Ken asked if I could just wait sitting comfortably in the office. Of course I humbly obeyed. So he went looking for a while. He got different opinions on where it might be. Poor Ken was sweating like crazy when he came back with the location of the car. And then of course I changed my mind last minute and decided I didn't want that car cause I didn't want to wait another day to see it when it comes out of the shop. Ken was so patient with me. I loved the guy immediately! So we go back looking on the computer. That ended quickly. I paid no attention to the brand spanking new Hyundai's in the building so Ken brought it to my attention and lifted the veil that was blocking my view. Let's just say he said the right words. It mad all the sense in the world! I knew I found the perfect one. Test drove it... Beautifullll! Then of course the boring paper work and what not. Ken really helped me out and worked out a deal I could work with. Of course Jack and Angie where cool peeps I had to talk to. My whole experience was just rad buying a new car! Now I have cool new Hyundai that is just awesome!!! WORD!

We shopped around at different dealerships, different makes and models and then contacted Tony Hyundai in Waipahu (we live in Kailua). We were immediately impressed by the first interaction with Aaron DeMello our sales person. Quick response by email and said he would make himself available on our schedule. A professional greeting at the gate and directions where to find Aaron. How nice to work with someone who wasn't pushy, wasn't trying to sell us a car we couldn't afford but instead worked with us patiently while we looked at all the models that he might be able to give a reasonable price on. Sincere, kind and funny. Explained details about the car and different rebates we could get and so on. We weren't told those things upfront at the other dealershipswe went in to negotiate our best price and Allen Capello was straight forward and tried to find any rebates etc. that would help bring the car closer to our budget...when we were already committed - ready to sign docs they found another $250 they could save usWOWthank you. Jack who worked with us on financing was so sincere on helping our son to understand the financing and how his good credit score saved him money and so many details - taking time to make sure our son understood. (it was like a dad talking to his son- warmed our hearts). Angie took us to another desk to see if we wanted to add any optional equipment - we didn't and there was no push to make us feel like we had to. We were kindly informed that we could add things at a later date and it didn't have to be this minute. I'm sure because of her "non pushy" sincerity - just showing us things we might like in the future - that we will be back for great gifts to add on for our son. At the end - Aaron seemed sincerely excited for our son - posing for pictures with him next to his new Veloster ! I will highly recommend Tony Hyundai Waipahu to our friends and family and I'm sure I will be heading there for my next car. My son and I took our vehicles in for recommended services on the same day. We were first greeted at the service door like royal customers. Todd was my service advisor and Gina was my son's advisor. They were fantastic! Super friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. My son wanted to look at the new 2014 Turbo Veloster (stick) while waiting for our vehicles and went to see if his last salesman was in, Aaron DeMello. I stayed in the waiting area and had their wonderful complimentary coffee. His boss Alan agreed saying that he didnt want me in a car with no warranty or less safety features. Kory took the time to find out what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to be in, and found a car that suited me best. Kory was very patient with me as it took me a day to make up my mind, and then another couple of days to pick up my new car. He was very courteous with me throughout the whole process. I must say, of all the vehilces i have purchased (Total of 6) over the years from other dealerships, this experience at Tony HYUNDAI I can honestly say, was "The Best!" Right from the moment I parked and made my way to the entrance, staff was hospitable. I believe John KATO was the first employee I encountered, for he opened the front door for me and welcomed me as well. As soon as I began to look over the Hyudai Santa Fe Sport model in the showroom, I was casually approached by another employee, John KAMAKANA, whom immediately provided his assistance as a salesman, without the usual pushy type of sales tactics I've experienced before. John KAMAKANA gave me my space and allowed me the time to ask the specific questions I had and answered them all. He then walked me through the various models of the Hyundai Santa Fe and once I was settled on one which fit my needs, he asked if I wished to Test Drive the GLS Model which I did.Once I decided on following through with purchasing the vehicle, John KAMAKANA quickly and efficiently began the process of using my current vehicle as a Trade In, and feverishly worked with John KATO to make this sale a success. I got the vehicle I NEEDED, at a Cost I could AFFORD, and that was all made possible through the labor of John KAMAKANA. To Whom It May Concern:Upon coming in Gina greeted my wife and I . I asked her if the company could reset my air bag because the light was on. She than told me that they have to run a diagnostic which was 155.00 plus. I didnt have much time to spare so I preceded on. I waited for an hour and ten minutes, when they parked my van in front of me where I could see it. I sat patiently for another 20 min. The whole time I watched Gina take on 3 customers, which took her about 20min. why would you park your customers vehicle where they could see and have them wait 20min on top of the hour 10min they been waiting for already? That is poor customer service! At windward hundi I would Never be treated like that! Windward Hundi has awesome service. You may have something to learn from them! My reason for coming to your facility was becasue you are closer to me and i thought you guys had the same service as windward Hundi. I would rather drive the distance to get better service!

I was nervous about buying my first car, but the folks at the Tony Group Autoplex made the process easier than I thought. Within a day or two, the car was mine! Everyone was so helpful and the customer service was great! They made me feel like family. Considering that they had to rush to get my used car cleaned in time for me to pick up the next day, I would have loved it if they took the time to REALLY clean and detail the car making it feel a bit brand new. The outside was cleaned, but the inside of the car was not cleaned at all. Other than that, I had a great overall experience.

I appreciated the no-pressure sales at this dealership. I had visited the dealership the weekend before I purchased to look at the different models. The sales person was very helpful in showing me what was available. When I wanted to wander around the lot and just check out the cars, the sales staff let me wander and take my time. When I was about to leave, Henry, the sales person helping me came out to say goodbye so I know he didn't forget about me. When I came back the following weekend, Henry was very helpful in showing me the different options of the model I wanted and I was able to select one. The entire staff that helped me were very pleasant and helpful and there was never any pressure to buy extras. They showed me what was available along with the price so I could make my decision based on both features and add'l cost. Overall it was a good experience.

The value he has for/to Tony Hyundai is very hard to describe/measure. This is the second time that He was our service advisor. He maintains a level of excellence that if rated on a scale of 1 to 10; I would rate as a 20+. Andrew Jameson is an amazing young man! I have known him for over 15 years and I consider him my hanai nephew. I knew he worked at the Tony Autoplex so I thought I'd pay him a visit. I told hi that I was interested in purchasing a new car...possibly a Nissan. He wanted to be sure I got a good person to help me so he introduced me to Sonia and she allowed e to test drive the Juke. It was a fun car and she got me a really good price! But I've had my eyes on the Tucson and the Mazda CX-5 for the past two weeks. I just HAD to test drive the Tucson before I finalized any purchase, so Sonia walked me to Hyundai and introduced me to John. I was pretty amazed that she was willing to help me out in that way! She was even willing to wait past her regular work hours until I got back from test driving a Tucson!Needless to say, I felt more comfortable with the Tucson. I felt so bad for keeping Sonia waiting only to tell her that I wasn't gonna get the Juke! She was soooo understanding and made me feel at peace for not buying the Juke. I will definitely tell all my family and friends about her awesome customer service and no-pressure assistance! John Kamamakana is very professional and good listener. He was easy to talk to and work with! He helped me to get the price down to where I could afford it. Jack was very friendly and personable too! Our original intent is to look at our options of hybrids available. to our surprise, the sonata was amongst the top contender. we were comparing with Lexus, Toyota, ford, and Hyundai. In a matter of a week, we narrow the choices to Lexus and Hyundai. the only drawback we encountered on the Hyundai, was the passenger seat did not come with power adjustable seats. A feature that we wanted , so that my wife would be more comfortable to be in. We strongly was leaning towards the Lexus due to the comfort, options, and being prior owners of Lexus and the way it handles on the road. After much consideration, especially the warrantees, we decided to go with the Sonata. We are hoping that this is a good choice, being that we wanted a vehicle that we would keep for at least 10+ years. We still own a Lexus and in the next 5 years we would need to replace that one, whether another Lexus or Hyundai will now determine on the outcome of our new vehicle.so far we are very happy with the choice, but as like all things, time will tell.thanks, Stephen LL

My overall experience was good. They were really friendly right when i got there and right away got started on looking at the cars and test driving. The customer service was really good from ken smiley, he was real friendly and helpful with choosing a car. I think i was too excited when buying a car though. I think the price I paid was a little higher than i really wanted to when i look back to it. I was looking to spend around 30-33000 but when i looked at the total price 37000. But everything else was great and I am happy with the car.

This is the third time I have dealt with the service department from this dealership, the first two were out of my control because I had the 3 month warranty from the Tony Group. The first time there was a bracket broken around my timing chain, at the time you could just hear the chain slapping around. They told me that they could not hear anything, and everything was perfectly fine, the noise was normal. They told me if for some reason I hear the noise again to bring the vehicle in. So the very next day I was there again, they finally diagnosed the problem as a Cam Phaser. They referred me to another dealership, because they didn't have the "parts". I took it to the dealership, and Ford diagnosed the problem immediately and were ready to get working. They just needed the approval from Tony Group. I waited 3 weeks, for a "answered phone call", (normal run around) and then I went straight to the Tony Manager. Somehow the phone call was immediate after that? So then Ford fixed this issue very quickly. I just recently got home from Tony Hyundai once again, with a brake problem. They told me they did a full diagnosis on the problem, and it sat outside the shop except for about 15 minutes, that's a fast full inspection. I have a warranty for everything, but they still charged me $75? So I take it straight to Maui Off-Road Center, right down the road. I tell them the problem, and he don't look at it, all he says is your ebrake is sticking. Engage, then disengage a few times, well its now fixed. This is just a typical run around, corrupt little business. If you don't have your vehicle then your renting one from them, you have a warranty, you still pay them somehow. I have no complaints from Tony Volkswagen, but Hyundai is pathetic.

The car and servicing are very good but your batteries and your tire should be standardized and competitive or on warrantee. Nobody has your size batteries or your size tires and that's are real minus for you. I can't afford them. I changed 4 tires in less than 1-1/2 years, nearly $1000, possibly 5 tires but I told them to salvage it. The tires are like weak surgeons' gloves. I'm thinking maybe changing the make of the car and count it as an experience to learn by.

I simply can't say enough good things about how well Henry Murillo and Percival Sudiacal treated me and my wife during our search for a replacement vehicle (my wife's CAMRY XLE was lost due to auto fire on new years eve). There was no pressure, only kind courteous and friendly conversation. My wife and I compared several models and makes and made two trips to Tony Hyundai. When I went to the Toyota dealer where I had bought my wife's car in Waipahu, the sales person there did not seem "genuinely" interested in me; he answered my questions was not truly dedicated to knowing or meeting my desires. On the other hand, Henry and Percival were totally supportive; showed my wife several cars, drove us in several, and even took us to the storage lot in Mililani to ensure my wife got the car she wanted. Henry even brought another car down afterwards....they treated us like family. My wife settled on a Elantra Limited. Percy and Henry familiarized my wife with the car controls, set up the bluetooth, and ensured all her questions were answered. They really treated us the best. I have been a Toyota fan previously, now I am well on my way to being a Hyundai convert. Not only the best warranty available, but the service and treatment was what really impressed me; and I don't impress easily. My wife;s Elantra Limited is as nice as her previous XLE, and she totally loves the Bluetooth. She said it correctly when she said, this is the best I've ever been treated -- like family. My wife drove the car home to Kapolei and loves it.

Went in to Tony Hyundai on the Christmas eve to accomplish few things, first return a leased vehicle that was taken out 3 years ago and to drive off another Hyundai. Met with Allan Capello, he got all the details and numbers done in matter of minutes. Went out to the lot with Ken Smiley to look at the vehicle and drove it off the lot. I was so impressed, I ended up getting 2 Elantras. The entire process I believe look less than an hour. Later met with the finance manager, Jack Wolfanger who had all the paperwork done and ready to be signed. He explained the details on the loan and again, took less than 10 or 15 minutes. My goodness, I wish all other dealers got trained by Allan, out of 6 purchases I've made in last couple of years, this was most simple, easy process you can imagine. Keoni Mulder checked me in. Informed me about issues they found with my car. Offered the shuttle service to take me home. Shuttle driver picked me up and she was very personable and got me home quickly. Forgot to get her name but she mentioned that she is a Lot Porter for Hyundai and fills in as Courtesy driver. Think her last name was Kaulia. Keoni kept in contact with me regarding the progress of my car and I was picked up in a timely manner on the return to pick up my car. Service is always great. The one thing that you can improve on is the calling of customers when their car service date is coming up. They always ask if someone contacted me but I never got a call since I bought the car. Other than that the staff has been great!

In the past 7 years I have dealt positively with Keoni, Gina and Todd. This was my first and absolutely last experience with Thomas Churchill. He called my home at noon on Dec. 23 to tell me my car was ready and the shuttle driver would pick me up at my Halawa home at 1 pm. When 2 pm rolled around and no pick up, I called the service department. Ashley returned my call and said the driver was not answering her phone. At 2:40 pm I again called and spoke to Gina who said there must have been a mix up in communication becauseTrinity was in town and Gina could not tell me when I would be picked up. At 3:40 I received a call from Trinity who said she was unaware Thomas had called me about a pick up time. She said he is not in charge of making her shuttle schedule. If Thomas had just followed the proper procedure, I would not be writing to complain about his actions. Trinity arrived at 3:40 and we got to know each other quite well during our 90 minute ride back to Waipio. Traffic was a beast! However, I want to commend Trinity for her courteous safe driving, calmness after hearing what had happened, and all while she had a bad cold and cough. Trinity explained she doesn't answer her phone when customers are in the van, feeling like it would be discourteous. She is a delight and helped my Hyundai experience end on a positive note. Gina and Ashley extended their apologies also. I regret I could not rate a "5" for customer service and overall experience. I would like to know what action will be taken to help Thomas understand his role as a service advisor at your facility. Mahalo for letting me share my experience.

From the moment we entered the building, everyone we came into contact with was friendly, easy-going, and not pushy. Our sales consultant, Aaron Demello, was willing to cater to our needs and make sure we got what we came for, even if it meant taking us to their staging lot a couple miles away - 30 minutes before the dealer was scheduled to close at 8pm! And he was cool with it, not rushing us or anything. Aaron was very knowledgable about the vehicle we were interested in and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. After getting to know him a little during our conversations to and from the staging lot, he became more like our "cousin" that works at a dealer rather than a typical car salesman. He was honest and straight-up about everything during price negotiation, nothing like what we've experienced from other dealers. Finance Manager "Uncle" John Travis was equally friendly and straight-up, no run arounds. He came up with a monthly payment below what we wanted, plus he was able get us a whole bunch of EXTRAS - all below the amount that we were willing to pay monthly. By that time it was already nearing 11pm, and they still had a genuine smile on their face and respected us.The next day was Aaron's day off, but he came to the dealer at 6pm like he promised to deliver the car. It was detailed and sparkling!! We finalized paper work with Uncle John and jumped into our new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. Aaron spent the next 20 minutes or so going over with us all the amazing features and gadgets of the vehicle, even setting up both my wife's and my phone for Bluetooth audio in the car. He did all this with genuine interest in us and professionalism... Even if he was a little bit under the weather. He gave us his personal cell number and encouraged us to call him anytime with questions or concerns... And we definitely will call him!Overall, we really ENJOYED our experience at Tony Hyundai Waipio. It didn't even seem like we were buying a car... That's how different it is and Tony. Great people, good prices, and amazing car! We already started advertising Tony Hyundai and our awesome experience with Aaron and John to our family and friends. The next time we need a car, we are going to see Aaron at Tony Hyundai.Mahalo for the newest addition to our family, our 2013 Santa Fe!

Shuttle driver shouldn't talk and text while driving . The reason it's against the law is she might get into a accident . I don't care if she does it when she is alone, but I care very much if I'm in the car. The dealer should provide blue tooth hands free for her to communicate . I gave the rating I did because it is precisely a true rating. This is the first time that I am actually having my vehicle worked on by the dealer service dept. Generally my experiences with dealer service is, dealers service were not trustworthy. All they could think of was xxxxxx the custormers. I see something going on now that I like, Hyundai service senses that car owners have wised up about dealer service. Now dealers are more customer oriented, they know that earning customer trust is important. As far as cost to repair the vehicle, dealer service dept. should be the best. Why? Because you are the representative of the vehicle you SELL. You should have the expertise to fix the vehicle you sell better than independent auto repair shops. AND that savings should be past on to the vehicle owner. The day you hear vehicle owners say "dealer service is the best place to have my vehicle serviced because it is gonna be done right and the price will be fair", YOU have arrived. You have found the secret to success.So far your service dept. employees are the greatest. The young gal where you pay the bill overcharged me. I did not realize that. When I got home, she call to inform me of the overcharge and that she would take care of it. I told her I appreciated the call and that she was a big asset to your company. Because I don't hear well, I did not get her name, please find out who she is because she needs to know from you that she is really a good (person) employee.

Went here with an appointment and still waited over 2 hours for my car to be serviced. I had a current safety check with papers (but the sticker was stolen), and they insisted that I needed to purchase another one because my car had tint, which I had purchased from Tony Group. They failed my safety and could not verify the problem on my car. So in the end, I had to pay an extra $20 for a safety that I didn't need and wasted in total over 2 hours of my time. I was very disappointed in them for taking advantage of me. I kept asking why I needed this done and that I did not want it, and they said that it was too late because she already performed the inspection and they needed to charge the labor. I really thought Hyundai would live up to their name in service.

Henry Murillo was the BEST! He was very informative, responsive, and a consummate professional while helping me purchase my first new car. I really appreciated the extra time he took to be very thorough with all the features of the car and he made the entire process an easy decision for us to purchase a Hyundai. My girlfriend and I have been to other dealers in the last few weeks (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Acura) but none of the sales people showed us the customer service that Henry, Jack, and Miles have shown; which made it easy for us to decide to go with Tony Hyundai. Miles was very helpful with showing us the car and then introducing us to Henry. Jack was also a pleasure to work with as he explained all the finances to us so well that we left having no questions unanswered. Overall a great experience from top to bottom and would highly be recommending people to work with Miles, Jack, and Henry to purchase their new car.

I have been taking my Hyundai to the Hyundai Service Dept. since I bought my Entourage Mini Van in 2009. There are so many great things to say. Miles and his entire staff have always extended friendliness, concern, service, and sincere warmth. Keoni is beyond amazing. He works so hard to provide service beyond expectation. I wrote a lengthy review on Yelp, especially mentioning Miles Miller. I am made to feel so welcome by him and his staff. I know very little about cars, except that I drive them and they get me where I need to get to, hopefully on time. Miles and Keoni have explained everything thoroughly and patiently to me; I never feel "talked down" to. They know I am a busy professional. I can count on them in every way in regards to taking care of my car. I never worry about being taken advantage of or overcharged. As a widow, this has happened to me in the past.The driver, Poomai, is exceptional. She is reliable, always on time, and extremely courteous and understanding. She makes every effort to make sure I am comfortable in regards to the A/C and type and loudness of the music. She is an excellent, aware driver.

My recent experience with Tony Hyundai was by far the BEST car buying experience I have had. I was planning on buying a Ford Fusion and Tom Churchill asked me if I would consider speaking with a salesperson and I said of course. Alan called me and I explained what I had to work with and he said, I will have your car appraised (it was already in service) and be in touch with you in 45 minutes. In 40 minutes I received a call from Alan letting me know I needed to come and select a car so we could talk finance. I took my lunch break was very warmly greeted by Alan and Henry. Henry took time to make me comfortable and explain all the bells and whistles of three different levels of the Sonata. I chose the GLS level. Henry had me do some preliminary paperwork and I would come back after work to "close" the deal. Alan came out and thanked me again for the opportunity to service me. I returned after work, my entire process took about 45 minutes at the most! I have never seen such organization as Jack, the Finance Manager, had 90% of my paperwork ready to go! I felt very well taken of, so valued as a customer. Henry was outstanding in explaining everything about the car. A day later I am still floored with the ease of the whole process, elated with my new car and have NO buyers remorse! Tony Hyundai in my eyes you are the epitome of exceptional customer service!!!!!!

Excellent customer service. I came by to look at the Hyundai Veloster Turbo on Tuesday, November 5th 2013. I was approached by Henry Murillo, who gave me a detailed showcase of the Veloster Turbo and went out of his way to bring out other colors so I could see all the options. Me and my family actually just stopped by to take a quick look at the car because we had a tee time set up that day. In the little time given Henry explained so much about the vehicle and set up a follow-up appointment even with my busy work schedule. I came by one more time to test drive the car and get an estimate for my trade in vehicle. Henry was away from the office that day due to medical reasons, but went out of his way to set up an appointment for me to check out the vehicle again. Allan Capello and David Gonzales let me take a quick test drive and I was in love with the vehicle. I set up a follow-up appointment with Henry to get the actual appraisal for my vehicle on Saturday morning. Henry and Allan quickly and thoroughly made the arrangements for my car appraisal and vehicle purchase. Such friendliness and the quality of work was amazing.Henry let me take the car for another test drive and helped me with all of my paperwork. Henry was excellent. The day before I was at the Windward Honda dealership looking at a Honda Fit... If the salesman and finance person didn't pull the usual sketchy car salesman & finance tricks, I probably would have walked out with a Fit. Thank goodness they did and I walked out. Lost keys- waited over 15 mins to tell me keys were lost. Easily could have at least comp'd my cheap oil change when spent over $1000.00 but not even suggested. Promised to order new keys if could not be found but no call after 24 hours. Clearly no customer service principles taught to service representatives here. Would you ever have your car serviced here?

After researching Tony Honda's web site, I noticed what appeared to be a very good price on a pre-owned 2009 Lexus ES 350 on their lot. Through the Costco Auto Program, I was referred to Sales Consultant Henry Murillo. Henry turned out to be an angel of good tidings for us! He was extremely pleasant to work with...friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating in a low-keyed manner. We feel very fortunate to have met Henry, and look forward to doing business with him for many more years.

This is our 2nd sonata that we purchased with Mike means help. 2010 Sonata with its comfortable ride in the back seat and the warranty is what sold me on getting another hyundai. The 2013 sonata is not as comfortable as the 2010 version; but the improvements make up for the sporty ride.

We didn't spend a lot of time waiting. We were greeted soon after entering. Originally, he had an appointment with Ken, but he was still with a client so we were introduced to Henry. Henry was a great Sales Representative. He explained how the Costco Auto program worked and showed us the different Santa Fe models that were available. We were surprised that the Limited trim had the manual shade and that was something that we wanted since we like to drive with the windows down but our kids don't like the sun. The prices were great. Honestly, we weren't expecting to spend as much as we did but comparing the prices with the options available, we felt that the extra money was well spent since we are planning to have the car for many years. Although, we were saddened that the Limited trim was only available in silver. We wanted black as too many cars around me are silver and I like to be different. However, it something that we can live with. We liked how Henry showed us how to use the different features of the Santa Fe rather than leaving it to us to read the manual or figuring it out ourselves. The entire experience was great, although it was lengthy, but it was worth learning about the different trims available and the differences between them.

From finding the car online to meeting with sales person and financial person it was the best experience I have ever had buying a car. We recently had an accident and our car was totaled so we needed a replacement quickly. I had contacted another dealer who said they would get back to me in 3 days, wow thats crazy I thought. I was able to complete the entire purchase (from talking to John on the phone to driving off in my new car) in a total of 4 hours!!! Best car experience ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaron Demello is a very friendly young man! As soon as we walked in, he greeted my husband and I with a big smile. During our talk, he very patiently explained all the figures that were presented and seemed very intent on giving us the best deal possible with the military discount and the Hyundai loyalty reward. He never pressured us; rather, he plainly answered all questions we had and allowed us to take it all in. Jack was also a pleasure to work with; he prepared all the documentation necessary with speed and efficiency, explaining also the items covered in the maintenance agreement. John and his boss were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when I went to check out the Accent. I liked the fact that they didn't pressure me with any sales pitch. After they answered all of my questions, I knew that I wanted this car and that I wanted to purchase it here, although there is a dealership closer to home in Kaneohe. Originally, I had planned to test drive other cars ( the Corrolla, Civic, etc.) before making my decision, but after my visit with John and his boss, I scrapped test driving other cars. I wanted to pick up my new Accent the following Tuesday, which happened to be John's day off, but he graciously came in on Tuesday and had my car prepped to go by Monday night. He explained all of the functions of my new car and invited me to call, should I have any questions in the future. The finance manager was also very professional and thorough in his explanations and did not pressure me to purchase any additional warranties I didn't need. You have a great team.....may your sales SOAR!!!

Mid August my left rear wheel caliper was faulty due to a busted boot in the inside of one of the caliper guide pins. I replaced the entire caliper with an aftermarket part bought from a nationally chained parts store, and along with a certified mechanic bled the entire braking system. Brakes were working phenomenally well. About one month later, the same wheel seemed to be having a similar problem. I decided to have it professionally checked out.Before setting up the appointment, the service desk, parts desk, then another person from the service desk (don't remember any of the names) each gave me their opinion on why the problem existed. All of them suggested that the part I used, since it wasn't from a dealer, was most likely faulty and not the correct one. The fact that dealer parts were optimal were heavily noted.Prior to my scheduled appointment on September 18, 2013, I checked the brake fluid at home and accidentally dropped the inside of the cap to the brake fluid well inside the engine. I could see it resting on the bottom of the engine area but could not reach it. Upon dropping off my vehicle, I kindly asked the service dept to please retrieve it for me and put it back on. This never happened.I received an estimate call from the service department suggesting that the problem was that I didn't have the right brake fluid - or that there was an oily substance in the brake fluid which ultimately meant that I should replace every part in the braking system that has rubber/boot/gasket. From master cylinder to each wheel. Est. cost $2,000. I opted for a second opinion.The next day, I picked up my van and received a second opinion within 2 hours. Faulty left rear brake line/hose AND faulty guide pin on RIGHT rear wheel. Right wheel issue was fixed and hose was ordered. Minus the labor for the hose install, total price was under $200.I will not recommend your service department to ANYONE. However, since I recently leased a Nissan from Tony, I must say that I can't be more happy that the service plan for the ENTIRETY of me lease is FREE due to the special that was running when I signed the contract. In my words, I will use your service department and crooks synonymously.The Nissan is awesome. We are seriously thinking of buying it. However, your service department will not receive ONE DIME from me on any of my vehicles.I prefer emails as a means of communication.

I gave it an overall of good only because they dont wash your car for you before they return it. I am used to other dealerships washing the vehicle before it is returned. Even on routine service. I know they give you a car wash coupon when you check out but even that is not up to par. I live in town and go to mckinley car wash instead because they do a better job at actually getting the car clean and not just knocking off the dirt. Overall Tony is a good place to have your car serviced but I do feel like a number sometimes because the dealership is sooo big. Mahalo!

This is my second visit to service my Hyundai Elantra at Tony Hyundai and I definitely enjoyed the experience. The people are extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful in every way --- from the guy who greets you at the drive-in, the service writer, the cashier, and the guy who returns your car after it is done. They also call you back when your car is ready -- something that allows me to do other things while waiting for the servicing to be completed. I went through the Costco Auto Program and was immediately contacted by Henry Murillo, who quickly assisted me in setting up an appointment (very efficient). On the day of my appointment, I was helped by Aaron Demello who was very friendly and very helpful. He explained the features of two cars and took me on two test drives. His advice and knowledge of both cars helped me to narrow my choices and eventually select a car within an hour. We worked on some paperwork and Aaron tried his best to expedite the process. Next, I was helped by Jack Wolfanger who took care of warranties and other add-ons to the car. Surprisingly, he was honest about not purchasing unnecessary warranties and was very genuine. Overall, the entire car-buying experience was excellent and I would definitely recommend Tony Hyundai to my friends and family.

Sally Onoue was very gracious, courteous and pleasant upon my arrival. when she recommended Henry to me, i felt very grateful that she chose him by explaining he would take very good care of me. with her warm smile, it comforted immediately.in dealing with Henry, i was very nervous and anxious at first. i think he picked up on that, and immediately made me feel at ease by talking to me as if we knew each other forever by making funny remarks and quick quips that made me laugh. i was totally grateful he did that. in my opinion, that was the turning point of the entire appointment. he made me feel like a friend...not just another customer whom he could make a quick buck off of.picking up on my inexperience with cars, he even went so far as to call my insurance company for me, getting my policy amended, and even having them fax over the insurance card so i would be able to drive the car home. i believe he went over and beyond the call of duty to help me get that squared away.he also sat in the car with me and hooked up my phone via bluetooth, showing me how to operate the system. he also went over the car alarm remote, and showing/explaining to me about the spare tire/air kit in the trunk.my opinion of a sales consultant has been totally revamped thanks to my experience with Henry. he's set the bar very high, and for me, it validates that i made the best decision possible by choosing to purchase a car from Tony Hyundai.i cant thank Sally enough for introducing me to Henry!

We looked at cars with him etc. Because of how Amazing he was the first time when we came into the dealership we knew we would be in good hands once we decided on what we wanted to get. I had certain features i wanted in my car and an idea of how much we wanted to spend and thought maybe i would have to give up on some things. However Aaron worked hard to get us our Sonata for an amazing price monthly and over all with a very good rate. I will be praising not only him but this Hyundai dealership. Every time we come in it we've felt like we where not getting robed, which for us being military was hard to find. Kudos to Ashley! I've visited Tony Hyundai dealership before during this year and she was the only one who noticed my safety sticker expired in NOV. of 2012! I appreciated her alertness and tactfulness in notifying me of this deficiency which was immediately taken care of along with my car's other service needs. Of course, Keoni always gives personal attention in a sincere manner, answering my questions satisfactorily and remembering how to pronounce my last name correctly. From the moment I came in I was on edge. Who has three issues happen at once? I did! So I started thinking what bills could wait. Evidently no car, can't go to work. I grew up with master mechanics, backyard mechanics, wanna be mechanics, so I know cars if I don't I have those I TRUST to refer too if I feel I'm being lied, taken advantage, or for ride and not even in a car. With Keoni first experience, that edge I was feeling dissipated. He was straight to the point, no gimmicks, any feeling of intimidation or baby talk (men thinking women don't know cars). He treated me with respect, which may I add is not so common. Keoni made me feel at ease to know my car was in good hands. He kept me updated with simple explanations and honest answers. And when he had a day off he even let me know that, and who would help me when he was away. Gavin helped me when Keoni was off. Another honest, respectful, sincere and considerate person. Gavin worked out something with his manager that allowed me to pay for my bills, my sons medications and the bill for my vehicle. Keoni as well worked his magic in helping me on top of what Gavin did. Their knowledge, respectfulness, kind demeanor, sincere honesty is what made my blood pressure perfect. It's nice to know on my TRUST list I can add two more. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my family and I . Last week I decided to trade in my Accent for an Elantra and once again had a wonderful experience working with Henry. Hyundai has done so much for me and friends and I will ALWAYS continue to go back to them if I were to ever buy another car. Henry was not "pushy" and let me test drive all of the cars I was interested in and he let me pick which one I liked. He did not push an expensive car so he could make good profit, he just wanted me to be comfortable in whatever car I chose. Henry was very patient and always had something positive to say about all the cars I test drove and once again not pushing for a certain vehicle. I really believe that Henry does everything in his power to help me get into my dream car and that is exactly what happened!! I did not think I could get my dream car and a few hours later I drove away in my fully loaded Elantra!! After the new car was done getting detailed he even helped me load up all of my personal items from my other car into the new car. He also took the time to show me every single feature in the car instead of sending me off wondering what all the buttons were for like some other dealers do. Henry was not only the greatest salesman there but his boss Allan even gave a couple extra car wash coupons for free just for being a loyal customer and referring two other people (which later upgraded their Hyundai to a newer Hyundai). Everyone at the dealership was great and once again I had another stress free and excellent experience in buying my new car. He was knowledgeable and not pushy at all, we arrived and told him that we had just started looking at cars that morning and would be making a decision in the next couple of days but were not going to be buying that day. I was undecided about buying a new car when I went to the Tony Hyundai-Waipahu dealership. The first person I met was John Travis who started our conversation with several questions. He asked about the car I was currently driving, my driving habits, how many drivers used my car and, most important to me, what did I expect from a car. As we talked, he got a phone call and I told him to go ahead and answer the call, that I wanted to walk around the models on display. By the way, My current car was a 2010 Hyundai Sonata, a car I was most happy with. I was interested in a new car because I am 75 years old and not in the best of health. I have been trying to keep all high ticket items as new as possible so my wife will not have to worry about repairs should anything happen. I saw the Elantra that I eventually bought and, it was love at first sight. I told John that the model I saw on the floor, the Elantra Limited was the car I wanted but not in the color of the model. He did some checking, found one in the color I wanted and assured me it could be made available no later than COB the next day. He did all the paper work while I went to get the title to my Sonata. I have bought at least six new cars since I came to Hawaii 35+ years ago. I am convinced that John Travis is the best salesman I've met. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the things I questioned. He was exceptionally courteous to both myself as well as my wife and adult son. Tony Hyundai-Waipahu has a truly outstanding representative in the person of John Travis.

I brought my Santa Fe in for a recall replacement of a door latch. I was told that the repair might take an hour and a half but, it was done in about an hour which was a pleasant surprise. Keoni Mulder assisted me and was friendly, courteous, and very professional in his discussion with even going into more detail on what was going to be repaired and why. This is the second time I have interacted with Keoni. The first was late last September when I brought my Santa Fe in for some warranty body work and for 15,000 mile servicing. While I was waiting, I decided to see what the latest Hyundai vehicles looked like on the showroom floor. My husband and I visited another Hyundai dealership on the island and did not have the best experience. So, after reading reviews of Tony Hyundai we decided we would give them a shot. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by John Kamakana after going inside. Never once did we feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. John took an extremely good amount of time to show us two different car models and explain all they had to offer. We went for long test drives in both cars that gave us a good idea of what we were looking for. At first we thought we couldn't afford anything more than an Accent and that was fine. To our surprise we went inside to talk numbers after test driving an 2013 Elantra. Because of the helpfulness and willingness of the staff at Tony Hyundai we were able to get the car we truly wanted, the elantra! They were more than willing to help us come up with a price that we could afford and were happy with. Furthermore, my husband and I weren't able to pick the car up until a couple days later because of personal reasons and the staff was more than happy to hold our car for us. Upon our arrival to pick up our new car, John Kamakana had moved it inside the showroom because it was raining and he did not want it getting dirty. The little details Tony Hyundai took into consideration throughout our entire experience was incredible. We did not feel like a stranger trying to buy a car, we felt like family. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to have a pleasant car buying experience. I would go back to Tony Hyundai without second thought. My mother had previously bought a used truck from this dealership. She said Aaron was really helpful in getting her exactly the truck she wanted and with a way lower interest rate she was at before, so she was extremely happy with her purchase. When I told her I was looking for a car she told me to come to this dealership because of her good experience. We went in not knowing exactly what we were looking for but after explaining our situation to John he showed us the perfect car he had in mind. It was at an amazing rate, but it was a new car which I wasn't expecting to get. He did explain to me how easy it would be to build up my credit with this car, and other benefits with this purchase as well. After the test drive I decided that this was the car that I wanted to purchase. After getting my loan approved, I came back to the dealership and Aaron had the car all ready for me when I arrived. He walked me through all the final paper work. He was very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I then went to talk to Jack in finance, who was also very helpful and personable. Aaron then arranged for me to meet Elmer, one of the service advisors, so I could set up my 90 day service and also so I knew someone in that department as well. I love my new car and everyone who helped me through this process. Everyone I met was very helpful and I am amazed that the first car John showed us would be the car that fit me perfect. Aaron was very helpful in walking me through the set up of my car and was able to answer any questions that I had. I love how personable every one here was, and how amazing the deals at Hyundai are. I love all my warranties, and was amazed that I even got an iPod chord with the car! I absolutely love how everyone walked me step by step through this process, especially since this being my first experience and I really had no idea what I was doing. I also love all the small service details that were provided, like Aaron introducing me to some one in the service department. It made me feel a lot more comfortable and very happy. He pointed out the neat features that the Hyundai Sonata had, and took the extra time to explain everything to me and show me the parts that he explained. The day prior to even arriving at Tony Honda, my great experience had already started. I was looking for a used, reliable, and inexpensive car for my wife, and found a few prospects online at the Tony Honda website. I filled out the short, simple questionnaire, hoping to receive a reply some time early the next week, since this was Friday evening. Not even five minutes later, the store manager is contacting me by phone, confirming the cars I selected online, are in fact of the types, models and makes, that I am looking for. After obtaining a few more criteria from me, he said that he would have one of his Sales Persons contact me to set up an appointment. It could not have been more than 20 minutes later when I received a second call from Tony Honda, and this time it was my soon to be Sales Person, Mr. Aaron Demello, who was more than willing to listen to the automobiles I was interested in and set me up for an appointment to meet that following day. Upon arriving at Tony Honda on Saturday morning, my wife and I were impressed by the breadth and scope of the inventory of automobiles on the lot, to include new and used vehicles. We got a chance to look around a bit as Aaron was finalizing some issues with a current customer, which gave a chance to look at some of the new Hyundai's on the lot, which we hope to be able to afford later on. Once Aaron was done with his customer, he greeted us warmly and genuinely, and of course asked if we saw anything we liked, which of course we did, but needed to keep our budget in mind, so we naturally gravitated to the used cars, where I asked Aaron about the particular vehicles that I saw online. Unfortunately, my first choice, a Honda Accord, of course, was no longer available, but my second choice, a Toyota Camry was, so off we went on a test drive with no delay! Around the block and out onto the highway, with Aaron being as personable as he could be, and I only saw him grab the 'prayer-handle' above the window once, so all-in-all, I'd say the test drive was a success! When we returned to Tony Honda, Aaron assured me that the sticker price I saw would not be the one I would pay, as it had been advertised at a lower price online, and that was the one he got us. At the last minute as we were sitting at Aaron's desk and looking at the new Hyundai sitting there, the wife and I decided to see what Aaron could do for us to get us into one of those instead! So, when Aaron returned with our approved paperwork for the Camry, we hit him up with our plan to get us into a new Hyundai instead, and so with no hesitation whatsoever, Aaron did up the new paperwork, and to it to financing. Unfortunately, having just arrived on the island, and within a month of being here, we had bought a new house, another car, opened new bank accounts, established new credit (We had been living in Germany for 12 years and had no credit cards, who would have thought that would be a bad thing, right?!) so one, out of our three credit scores was 100 points lower that the other two, and Aaron and the financial department, were unable to offer us a 60 month financing plan on one of the new Hyundai's like we had hoped. But the point being, Aaron went out of his way to accommodate or whimsical thinking that it might be a viable option for us. So, after securing the deal on the Camry, at a higher price than I wanted, and higher payment than a new Hyundai (But what can you do, right?!), we shook on it. Aaron told us to go have some lunch while to the Tony Honda crew washed our new (used) Camry, and gave her an oil change. We returned an hour later and drove off the lot with our new (used) Tony Honda Toyota Camry! Aaron seems to be a god fit a Tony Honda and is very warm and personable, and I hope to bring my kids their to purchase their first cars a couple of years down the road, and fully expect that Aaron will, and should still be there, with the exception that he would now be the one introducing me to another fine Tony Honda Sales Person, in his new capacity of Sales Manager! Will definitely return soon, and not just because my Camry's "Maintenance Required' light is on either!v/rRod Lechwar

I was helped by Alex in the Parts dept during my visit to Tony Hyundai. I normally stay away from car dealers due to my dislike of car salesmen but I went anyway. Alex made my visit to the dealer an absolutely great experience and one that I will be sure to tell others about. He went out of his way to find the exact parts I needed for my 2005 Hyundai Elantra and even came outside with me to my vehicle to ensure the parts were correct. Eventhough parts through a dealer tend to cost much more than elsewhere, I went ahead with the purchase because I know that if any issues should pop-up, Alex will follow through and take care of things. This kind of customer service is rare to across these days with the fresh crop of lazy 20-somthings with tatoo's everywhere and the same ignorant mohawked-type spiked hair cut. Alex reminded me that there are still people out there that care about what they do and it shows through his work ethic. I might of only ordered parts through Tony Hyundai, but my experience with Alex in the Parts department was A+ all the way and reminded me that there customer service does still exist, even if in small isolated pockets like a parts counter off of Ka Uka Blvd., but it does exist. Thank you Alex for your attentiveness and follow through! * Tony Hyundai Management: *- People like Alex are truly an asset to your organization and should be recognized for their efforts. If you don't have any type employee recognition or reward system in place, I highly recommend that implement one. Once in place, or if it already exists, Alex should be top of the list. My son (Bastian) was looking to purchase his first vehicle. He already had a used vehicle picked out that he had seen on Tony Hyundai website. My husband and I went with him to check it out. We were looking for sales rep Mike Means but unfortunately he was off work at that time. We had talked to Mike a while back but were not ready to purchase a vehicle then. The sales manager introduced us to charming Aaron Demello. We told Aaron what we were looking for and Aaron took us over to the used car section to see if the vehicle was still available and to see what others might be interesting. It was going to storm that day and Aaron was sweet enough to offer an umbrella for me but I declined. Unfortunately the vehicle Bastian had read about was not available so Aaron patiently helped us find possibly something else in the used section. He didn't really see much he was interested in. Bastian had looked at the brand new Hyundai Veloster a few months before, when we met Mike, but he was just looking at that time plus we never thought he could qualify for a "new" vehicle. Aaron sat down with us and did some magic. Lo and behold, my son was able to purchase a beautiful brand new Hyundai Veloster!! We were so pleased with the service from everyone involved in the sale, especially Aaron. A true sweetheart. We will definitely be back for future purchases and will recommend them to everyone! John made my car buying experience extremely easy and very enjoyable. I kept bracing myself for the "salesman" pitch or the haggling, but I didn't receive either. From his initial greeting, John was like meeting a long lost family member. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and just like my dad, made sure I was being practical when I asking about the options packages! He genuinely seemed to be looking out for MY best interest.In the end, I bought EXACTLY what I needed and wanted in a vehicle. I was sad to say goodbye to my 10 year old mini-van that my son literally grew up in, but John was sweet enough to take a picture of me with my old car (that I traded in) so I could always remember how good it was to me. By the time I drove home, the mini-van was almost forgotten and I was already in love with my new Santa Fe Sport 2.0T! I knew what car I wanted but it was just not available. I visited the dealership several times and I was always greeted with smiles and I didn't feel like a bother, even though I knew there was not a car. I kept patient and they kept working for me. I gave the rating I did to Henry and Jeb because I felt as if they really wanted to help me find the car that was right for me. I was indecisive between a couple of cars and not once did I feel Henry or Jeb was frustrated with me. I did not feel any pressure as I did with other dealers, I actually felt very comfortable (Like talking to a friend). I felt the both of them were honest and straight forward. Henry and Jeb were both well informed of the vehicles and I left the lot with the confidence that I bought the right car. I gave the rating I did to Jack because he did whatever he could to help me get the best rate possible. At first Jack appeared unapproachable but as I sat and talked with him, I found he was very friendly and easy to talk to. Hawaii is a small place so it always seems that in order to get a really good deal on a new car, you have to have a friend or relative who works at a dealership. Unfortunately, people like me who don't know anyone at any dealership have go through the typical stressful car buying experience. This is how it's always been until I decided to buy a new Hyundai Elantra and went to Tony Hyundai.I just purchased a new 2012 Elantra from Tony Hyundai. This was my first experience dealing with them and it definitely won't be my last. Henry Murillo is genuinely committed to providing the best service to his customers. He really knows the products he sells and was able to answer all the questions my wife and I had. After a few minutes talking with him and their general manager Alan Capello, I could tell they were really personable people, which made me and my wife feel very comfortable. I can see why he and the other staff there have so many good reviews and repeat customers. Tony Hyundai went out of their way to find and ship in the exact car me and my wife were looking for and we couldn't be happier with it. I was also extremely happy with the price of the Elantra, especially considering it was the #1 selling car in the USA last month and will probably be so again this month. Hyundai as a brand has come a long way in just a few short years. I'm really glad the Tony Group carries the Hyundai brand and it will make my future car buying plans much easier. I will definitely recommend Henry Murillo and Tony Hyundai to my family and friends.

Ken and Alan were awesome! No sales pitch, the car sell's itself. Ken is low key and answers the question without beating around the bush. I am enjoying my new Hyundai Santa Fe, GLS with a V6 engine to boot! Thanks for making the deal happen, since I really needed a good, dependable car with lots of space for work and since I have a long hilly drive. I'm counting on the Santa Fe to do the drive but will update it in roughly three to five years? I always buy new since, I cant fix cars. The minute we walked the Tony Hyundai lot in Waipio, Ken was there to help us find the car we wanted. We didn't have an exact make and model in mind but left there completely satisfied with our choice. Ken was very helpful and answered every question we had. He did not offer that "used car salesman" pitch but rather let us take our time choosing what we wanted no matter how long it took. When we made our final decision, this wonderful salesman had us in and our of there in no time at all. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a car dealership in my life. His no hassle approach and timely manner was a breath of fresh air. We had our two young kids with us and that made us appreciate him even more. We were so satisfied with the professionalism of the sales manager Jack as well. He helped us so much and made sure the rest of our time there was pleasant. Both of these men were so patient with us and kept us well informed. The next time I went into the dealership to finish up some paperwork, Ken was there to greet me as I entered the door and made sure to get me my 2nd key to the car we purchased and an owner's manual as well. I really want to stress how satisfied I am with Ken and can't begin to express how well he took care of us. Kudos to you Ken and we wish you all the best in the future. I would personally ask for hime the next time we purchase a vehicle from this dealer. He is huge asset to the sales team there at Tony Hyundai. He is why I have rated this dealership a 5 on every category.

In all the years that we have bought New Automobiles, this experience was the "Best".The Salesperson(s)is what made me buy my Genesis Coupe(Touring), they were both, No Ka Oe. No pressure and it didn't take hours on in to do the paperwork. We arrived at Hyundai around 10:30 - 11 and was done by 4:00 and I was off driving my new ride. I was a little stressed out thinking about the whole process of purchasing a new car. I visited a couple of other dealerships before going to Tony Hyundai and my concerns were proven true. The sales people who assisted us were very pushy and more concerned about how much money I could pay a month or what kind of job I had. I did not even check the car out or test drive it and they were already talking to me like I decided to buy the car. I left those dealerships feeling more stressed and concerned about this whole car shopping process. About a week later I went to Tony Hyundai with the hope of a more pleasant experience. Larry Morgan, our sales rep, approached us and asked what kind of car we were interested in. I showed him the car we liked and he described the different features and answered all the questions we had. He then directed us to another car with more of the features I wanted. He then took us on a test drive and we generally talked about the car features and other small talk. Not once during this checking out of the car or test driving phase did Larry ask me how much I could pay a month or how much of a down payment I could make. He didn't give us a sad story about how he needed to make a sale or how other customers were interested in the same car, there was ABSOLUTELY NO HARD SELL, NO PRESSURE. Larry gave us the space and time to discuss in private our next course of action. Only after we decided to make an offer, did the subject of money and job come up. I made a fair offer for the car and I actually received a counter-offer that was about a $100 less. I had to asked Larry several times if the counter-offer was correct. Larry repeatedly answered yes. I briefly discussed with my girlfriend and took their counter offer and the rest is history.PS Larry even picked us up the next day at home to bring us back to the dealership to pickup our new car. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tony Hyundai and Larry Morgan in particular to all prospective new car buyers. My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our car shopping experience and our time spent with Larry Morgan.Thank you Tony Hyundai and Larry Morgan!David & Maribel

My husband and I went to Tony Hyundai in need of a new car. We had checked out the 2011 Elantra online and wanted to take a drive. Even though the Elantra was basically sold out, they immediately found the one they had left and let us take a drive. Knowledge of the car was outstanding. Mike taught us about all the features! Upon returning to the dealership, he was able to help locate Elantra's that were either at a partner dealer or on their way to the island. We chose one from another dealer. After we comleted all the necessary paperwork, Mike went to the other location and picked up the car for u and made sure it was sparkling inside the showroom the next day! The paperwork process was smooth and Tony Hyundai gave us a great deal! My husband and I are both thrilled with our new indigo blue pearl Elantra, and I am certain that Mike and Tony Hyundai will take good care of us when we return for service in the future. We had a great experience purchasing our very first new car!!
