Miriam definitely was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to each of my questions and very patient with me as this was my first time purchasing a new vehicle. After visiting other Toyota dealerships, I found her going straight to the point and being very transparent in what I was getting. Because of the shortage I had to wait a few weeks but it was worth it! I currently am in love with my car. It was a smooth transaction, all around 😊. Thanks!

I LOVE my new rav! I had a great experience at Toyota of Hackensack. I was looking for a fairly new certified vehicle. I was greeted by Miriam and she informed me the vehicle was still waiting to be transported from the auction it was purchased at but that we could do pricing and wait for it to arrive. She gave me a fair value for my trade and after test driving a vehicle and sitting with her, I knew, sight unseen, that this is the car I wanted! She was so informative and worked with my budget. Unfortunately, the car took over 2 weeks to arrive, but Miriam kept in touch with me the entire time. The car came but had some damage.. Miriam’s team repaired the vehicle way beyond what I expected and I completed a deal that evening! Miriam made my car buying experience easy. Thanks again!!!!

Some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced. Due to the chip shortage I had a very difficult time finding the exact car that I had been looking for. After searching several states and multiple dealers I was able to able to locate the exact car I wanted at Toyota of Hackensack. Melissa not only found me the perfect car but did it in record time. She and the entire team at Toyota of Hackensack made the entire process as smooth and pleasant as possible. I will definitely be using their services in the future. Shane

Had a great experience with Miriam from Toyota of Hackensack. I found one of their super low mileage used vehicles (377 miles!) on cars.com and sent an email to Miriam through the site. She contacted me almost immediately. Throughout the morning we discussed my purchasing options, and by 5pm I was in the store signing the paperwork. Wish every car I bought was this easy.

Miss Miriam is a customer at my job and one day I saw her Toyota shirt and asked if she could help me. She was so informative and gave me her info and told me to text her with some info. A few weeks later I am in a new lease thanks to her help She was able to help me get out of my lease which I couldn’t fit in with my new baby, and into soemthing that made more sense for me. I left some things in my trade and she made a point of bringing them to me at work to save me some time. Finance department was quick and nice too.

We found a certified 2015 Sienna Toyota with low, low mileage in just the color we wanted on Carfax. Only downside was that it was at Toyota of Hackensack, which involved taking two bridges and the Cross Bronx Expressway from our home on Long Island. But the travel (and traffic) were well worth it! The purchase went smoothly, thanks to the professionalism and customer concern of our salesperson, Melissa, who, along with sales manager Mario helped us stay within our budget, always called us back promptly during the purchase process, and even came in early on delivery day so we could pick up the vehicle before the dreaded rush hour traffic started. Vehicle is beautiful -- almost new in wonderful condition. The dealership handled getting the NY registration so we coiuld transfer our plates, and Rosa helped us by overnighting the registration when it came in. We took the vehicle to our local dealer for inspection and are now good to go!! Thanks to everyone at Hackensack Toyota. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, customer friendly dealership. .

I received a letter in the mail from this dealer yesterday. It basically said that due to my good standing with Toyota I was eligible to terminate my current finance or lease. I own a 2014 Toyota Prius V3. The letter went on to say that I could upgrade to a new vehicle with zero down, zero security deposit, zero first month payment and zero something else. My husband and I went in today just to check it out. The saleman said my monthly payment would increase by two hundred dollars although the car I was interested would be considered a downgrade. After speaking to his "manager," I was told the payments would increase because the current lease payments would rollover into the new lease...BUT (I said pointing to the paper) it says my current lease is eligible for "termination." Long story short we left. It was BAIT to get us there and then they SWITCHED on us. These people were condescending and rude! I used to get my car serviced at this dealership ~ NOT ANYMORE! I'm done with Toyota...

I leased my first car from this dealership ( a 2016 rav4) and disclosed to the sales person that it was my first time having a car ever and that I needed some extra help. The first problem that I ran into was that I could not get full insurance on the car because I was not given the bill of sales. The second problem was when the city took my car less then a month after I got it, because the inspection sticker was expired. Rather then owning up their mistake (which cost me 200$) the sales person tried to tell me that he had told my mom!!! So I asked him if he had been in contact with my mom or if he was unaware that I was the person leasing the car. He then changed his story and tried to tell me that he had told me and that I must not have been paying attention. I live in New York and this is apparently why the dealership couldn't just issue the sticker for me, but no one explained this to me. I think that this lack of transparency is unacceptable. I also think they should discourage people from NY from getting cars at their dealership as they are unable to help you set up your insurance (they can only help NJ residents) and because apparently they also can't issue registration stickers for NY residents (which a NY base dealer can do).

July19th went vehicle testing ,tried other brands of vehicles. Drove in a line & wound up here at TOYOTA OF HACKENSACK. Boy am I glad. No "stalking salesmen" , walked around lot at vehicle styles I liked, then went inside to meet a Salesman. Met Jay Rim. He was SO AWESOME, no pressure asked about vehicle I was interested in, what was looking for ,etc. Took 4runner for test drive & checked it out for awhile in lot. No pressure, no rushing ,just let me & wife look ,touch, open stuff ,talk alone, etc. When decided to go over figures etc, gave us bottled water & made sure no suprises, gimmicks etc. Truly the best experience. Today August11th ordered hood bug shield yesterday, part was in at 8am, went to pick it up, asked to install, service dept took us right in explained cost etc, wait time. We waited in waiting area, very comfy ,free wifi, big screen tv to watch olympics on. The service dept finished in timeframe given. The attention given to my vehicle was amazing, plastic over seats, papermats to protect carpet, had valet bring me vehicle & gave us nice cold bottled water. The little things in life is what makes me happy. This is my first TOYOTA , I will from now on have one in my driveway. Thank you for reading & I hope if you ever look for TOYOTA ,you will at least give them a visit. THEY WILL WIN YOU OVER.

I had inquired about the 2016 4Runner TRD Pro and every other dealership told me I would never get one, waiting lists, and so forth. I understand limited production and supply in demand, but Jay Rim called me and let me know he had one coming in in the color I wanted. He was able to work up a deal over the phone with me and I left a deposit. The next morning the truck came in and Jay sent me pictures and kept me updated on the whole process. By the end of the night I was driving my new truck home at the same numbers I was quoted in the truck I wanted! Kudos to Jay for going above and beyond for me and staying after his shift to make sure I could drive home in the vehicle. Good job guys, I will recommend people your way.

Excellent Customer Service, From start to finish, it was a flawless executive. Fast and furious... Great job by everyone from the time I entered in the dealership to the exit. Great Showroom and waiting area for the customers. Provided ride to my destination. If I had seven stars, I'd give them seven. I went for service on my 2005 Toyota Corolla, but whenever I am ready for my next car, I will definitely go back to this dealer, assuming their prices are competitive. Keep up the great work!!!Thank you

January 2016 - There I was in need of two used cars with low mileage that I was going to buy for 2 of my children. I had a set price, and after careful review of all of my options, decided to purchase a Toyota Prius C. I looked through all of the internet pages of the Toyota dealerships near and far. One night I chatted online with the internet sales department for Hackensack Toyota, and made an offer on two cars that I was interested in. The offer was accepted, so I decided to make the long trip up the next week from Monmouth Cty. That next Monday, I telephoned the internet sales person again to confirm that the cars that I wanted had not been sold. She verified that the cars were still there. I told her that I would be going there the next day. She informed me that she would call me if someone bought the cars prior to my arrival. That night, I started reading reviews about Toyota of Hackensack, the majority of which were not favorable. Many of which claimed that the dealership was guilty of a bait and switch tactic in which the dealership would offer vehicles at incredible prices, and that when the customers arrived to purchase the vehicle after having been quoted a sale price on a vehicle, the car had already been sold. I became very concerned after reading these reviews, and almost backed out of my planned trip to the dealership due to the fact that I was going to have to ride a NJ transit train for two hours to get there. My plan was to buy the two used cars, and drive one of them home, and return for the other later on that week. Reluctantly, I forced myself onto the train, and started my voyage. I kept telling myself that I should remain calm even if they try to bait and switch me. I got a bad feeling when I received a text from the assigned salesman. The internet saleswoman had told me to ask for her. I thought oh boy here comes the bait and switch. OK I was already halfway into my trip, I could have just got off at the next station, and returned home, but it was my day off so I decided to continue on. I arrived at the train station and then walked the mile to the dealership. Upon arriving at the dealership, I met my salesman Ron. He seemed very personable, but I was on my guard due to the fact that I was dealing with a car salesman, and we have all heard that they are all liars and cheats. As we were walking out to see the 2 cars, he informed me that one of them was not available. I thought.....ok....here we go with the bait and switch. The cars that I was interested in were the dealership's loaner cars. He explained that it was due in later that day. He took my license, and left me alone with the one that was available. I did a walk around, and noticed a large dent on the vehicle. I immediately thought....I took a 2 hour train ride there for nothing....great.....I should have listened to my gut on this one. He had me test drive that one, and a higher level model that of course was more expensive. We sat down afterward, and talked about the vehicles. I informed him that I couldn't go over my budget. He left to speak to someone about the vehicles, and then returned and informed me that they were going to fix the dent, and would offer me the more expensive one at a reduced price, keeping me within my budget. I realized that in fact it wasn't a bait and switch. This seems to be a large dealership with many moving parts. At times, even in the best organizations, there is a lack of communication between the different divisions. I believe this is why at times people feel they re being duped. I drove the more expensive one home, and returned several days later for the other. I had a very pleasant sales experience from all who helped me at Toyota of Hackensack including Melissa in the internet sales Dept., Ron my salesperson, and the finance manager. I would highly recommend this dealership to all. Having said this, understand that it is their jobs to sell vehicles and make a profit, and your job to do some research as to the true value of the car that you are attempting to buy.

I bought 2013 Used Toyota Highlander from this dealership. Since the dealership was 2 hours away; I called and asked to ensure that the car is still available. Also; I told my price if they are willing to sell me at that price if I liked the drive and car.Jay Rim; my internet contact from this dealership; called me 10 mins later that they will honor my price if I can come next day which I did.Upon my visit; they assigned me sale agent; Vaughn (sp?). He was extremely nice and answer all questions. The Day after I bought the car; I called again to clarify some charges; Vaughn spent at least 30 mins over the phone multiple times to go over the charges. This shows their commitment to their customer -- most of the sales person will not spend time to a customer who is not going to buy.

Summary: Excellent Experience, low prices and good clean CPO used cars. Took the day off me and wife from work and headed to three dealerships in NJ traveling from NY (took us about 1 1/2 hours to get their): Hudson Toyota, Toyota Universe and Toyota of Hackensack (we didn't plan on visiting all 3 dealerships but we had a bad experience at one of the other dealerships so decided what else was in area). When you get to this dealership ask for Armando Morell he one best in the industry!! He very knowledgeable about the vehicles, listens, finds exactly what I was looking in my price range without trying to up sell.Out of all three, Toyota of Hackensack provided the best experience in consideration to customer service and price on New and CPO cars prices without having to haggle and negotiate too much (their prices were very good). If I would read all negative reviews on this site, I would probably never went to this dealership but sometime it pays to shop around and I am very happy I did!!!

This guy thought I'd just sign for a car not knowing the MSRP or Interest Rate!! I found this dealership from a link on AAA.com that was supposed to give me "Preferred Pricing" for being a long-time AA member; they quoted an average of $2000 off MSRP. I had spoken with one sales rep at Hackensack Toyota before driving far out of my neighborhood, who after going over what I was looking to lease & what I could afford to spend, he told me he 'could work with those numbers'.When I got to the dealership, another Sales Rep, Ed, was assigned to me. He was in such a rush to run my credit score. He came back with a score more than 60 points lower than what my bank shows my credit score is!! After putting up some push back, he walked away then returned 5 minutes later to tell me that number wasn't my 'actual credit score', but since I had no leasing/financing history since I've always owned my cars outright, that the lower score was what Hackensack Toyota would use to assess my leasing options. He presented me with 2 scenarios for money down and monthly payments. I asked several times what MSRP and Interest Rate I was being quoted and he refused to give me any firm numbers for either. This guy thought I'd just sign for a car not knowing the MSRP or Interest Rate!! Save yourself a lot of trouble and just stay away from these crooks.

I completely understand the car buying process and I'm not a difficult person. After a bad experience with another dealership, we found this dealership. Working with Jay and Jon, I found them very honest and easy to work with. They honored another dealership's very good price. Although problems arose with the time in which we got our vehicle, it wasn't their fault and they kept us informed. They made the process very quick and easy. I would go back to them to purchase in the future and I recommend them to others.

I emailed Toyota of Hackensack that I was interested in a 2012 Honda Civic. Got a call from Tiffany from Internet Sales within minutes. Asked her if the car was still available and the price. She said they had it and would have them bring it to the front. I told her I would be there within 2 hours. Drive all the way up from South Jersey to hear "It was sold last night". and then tried to sell me a car that was $4000 more than the car I called for. What a scam!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

I was surprised that it took 2 hrs. to change my oil while I waited. But when it was finished, I was given a report that my car was completely inspected and needed repairs for leaking hoses, water pump and strut. I brought my car back to the dealer where I purchased it over 5 years ago and learned that all of these repairs as well as a car rental were covered under my extended service warranty.

Traveled over an hour to look at two pre-owned vehicles that were listed on the internet. I advised the woman I spoke with on the phone exactly what I wanted to look at before I got there so there wouldn't be a wait time. Got there and was made to wait before a salesperson could help us. He finally brought around the first car. I noticed after doing a vehicle check, that the insert in the trunk did not seem to fit properly as if it came from another vehicle. When I questioned the salesperson about it, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know" without even looking into it for me. Took it for a drive (with a very very low tank of fuel). Came back and asked to look at the other vehicle. When he brought the car around he made a muttered comment about the fuel. I looked around at the car and then requested to drive it and it was then that he explained that there was not enough fuel to test drive it. Really? I am supposed to buy a vehicle without even test driving it? Give me a break! This dealership did not seem to interested in selling their vehicles. It might help to make sure you have adequate fuel in them for prospective buyers. The salesperson also acted very smug. When I made a comment about another car I had been looking at more locally to me, he smirked and made the comment that "you should go buy that one then." Though we couldn't agree on a price on the first car I looked at, I was more disappointed in their lack of enthusiasm and preparation of the vehicles shown. Even though it was a long drive, I am glad I didn't give them my business. They certainly didn't earn it!

Came into Hackensack Toyota to try get best price for a pre-owned lower mileage vehicle than my current car and left with a brand new 2015 Toyota Venza! My sales representative, Ana, was amazing! She got the job done & the whole process took just about 2 hours. She was very personable and knowledgeable about all the available vehicles. I will be recommending her to my friends & family and will be back very soon to add a second car!

I was on my way to go skiing at Mountain Creek, when my tire pressure was suddenly VERY low. I couldn't bring my air pressure up at the gas station, and showed up to the Hackensack Toyota on a Sunday afternoon, just before they were closing. We were shopping for a new car and we have experienced the worst ever customer service. We couldn't sit there more than 5 minutes. I have no idea how are they selling Toyota vehicles. One of the WORST car dealer around this area.

Went in for engine vibration and recall issue. Staff is less then friendly almost as if they hate working there. No sense of valued customer service. Anyway. ... I explained my issue to joe after 2 hour's he stated he didn't find a problem and he sent me on my way.. lol. U would think he would ask me to take a ride with him and explain the issue while driving the car. They adjusted my recall mats with out even a vacuum or wash.. no loaner car available either.

My husband and I decided to search for a replacement for our 2000 Dodge Dakota PU. After a lot of research we narrowed it down to a Toyota Tacoma. I had phone calls in to a different dealer who never called me back. It was just by chance that we stopped into Toyota of Hackensack. We walked to the front desk and was greeted by Chelsea, I told her we were interested in test driving a Tacoma but I wanted a salesman who was knowledgeable on trucksshe knew just the one..Armando. Armando has been great. He has done everything in his power to make sure we received the exact truck we wanted. We are now the proud owners of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. From start to finish Armando and his associates are a class act!

I bought 2014 RAV4 Limited with the technology package. Jay Rim and his boss, Mario, got me a really great price. There was neither hidden fee nor surprise increase in price. I don't know about other sales folks, but you can count on Jay. He is knowledgeable and sincere. Some sales folks at other Toyota dealer was bad-mouthing Toyota of Hackensack, but I found it wrong.

Took my wife's 2013 Prius V Wagon for 15K service without an appointment. Was in and out of the dealership in just a little over an hour. Very courteous and helpful. When purchasing the vehicle, however, I found their sales department to be a high-pressure low-class operation with the typical "how much do you want to pay per month" sales pitch. We purchased from Prestige Toyota which was a straightforward sales operation with no low-end games. But I would not hesitate to bring the Prius back to Toyota of Hackensack.

The worst dealership ever. Bought a certified highlander paid them the $350 for the title/paper work and all that crap and still they messed up. Tried calling them multiple times and no answer. Eventually had to pay $85 out of pocket to get the bank listed on the title. Here are few things that I noticed:- Sales dept suck!- Managers are pissed off, I am not sure why and I don't care.- No one has a smile on their face- Dirt all over. Chairs, tables, carpet, floor...- Lack of ownership- I don't care attitude.- They will give you wrong information in a blink of an eye just to win over an argument. -WOW!I am going to try East Coast next time for service. They have a new service center and staff was very polite when I tired a walk in.Believe me, stay away from this dealer. There are plenty around.

Toyota of Hackensack, NJ has changed...for the better! Hence my 5 star rating across the board. For the last several years, I have brought my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS to this dealership. Admittedly, there have been an occasion or two over this time period where the level of service I received was sub-par (i.e., I requested that the car be washed after an oil change and Service did not do it). That said, my most experience was an about-face / 180 degrees. In fact, the level of service was awesome! To be more specific; they took the time to detail all of the servicing needed on my car (the Service Representative I worked with, Rudy, was professional, timely, and polite), provided me with a "loaner" car, gave me a good price for all of the work (which was quite extensive in nature)...and yes, washed my car. All of the Toyota representatives I encountered came across as friendly and professional...and they smiled a lot. In summary, I would recommend Toyota of Hackensack for your servicing needs - - you may be (pleasantly) surprised.- RJM

I was looking to trade in my 2002 Rav4 that needed major transmission work, for a new Rav 4. On July 4, I visited a dealership 5 minutes from my home in Mahwah, I was given a price, no test drive and was told they would look at my old Rav, which was sitting in their service department, and get back to me with a trade in price.. Got a call back, on July 5, from the Sales Manager, he had not looked at my car yet. I called the salesman on July 9 and was told again that his Manager would call me back, and that they were going to discuss it that afternoon. I never heard from them, so several days later I got my car out of the service department and went to Toyota of Hackensack. Here I am a customer who needs to buy a car, but apparently the other dealership was not interested in making a sale. As a woman buying a car on her own the process can be intimidating. But I did my homework, knew exactly what I wanted, checked the going MSRP, dealer invoice prices, manufacturers rebates, and what others were paying for the same car in my area, etc. Finding and going to the right dealer can make all the difference in the world. At Toyota of Hackensack, I had a wonderful sales experience. The Sales Manager, Michael Park, immediately took me for a test drive, and in detail pointed out all the differences between my 2002 RAV and the features of the new one. We sat down and did some negotiation on price. He was soft spoken, I was treated with respect, no mind games, no hard sell tactics, no pressure to make an immediate decision. He then asked what could be done for our numbers to come closer, we agreed on a price and the deal was closed. He then turned me over to Sales Representative, Ana Mayers who helped with the rest of the transaction and with the other details. She offered to go over anything else that I might have questions about. While I was waiting, there was another woman there who bought a car on her own for her daughter she was all smiles as well. She came over to congratulate me and told me how happy she was with her purchase. I picked up my car the following day, was greeted by Michael and Ana, then introduced to Ozzie, the Financial Mgr. who had me sign all the paperwork. It was very evident that they all treated each other with the utmost respect, and that is reflected in the way they treat their customers. I regularly read reviews on line to help me make decisions on which products or brands to purchase and which businesses to frequent, but have never posted one of my own. Because of the excellent quality of service, respect and real caring that I received, I felt compelled to write this review. I would definitely recommend Toyota of Hackensack, and especially Michael and Ana when you are in the market for buying a Toyota.

I bought my car from this dealership in 2003 and have been taking my car there for service since then. Every time I go, the experience is consistently good. (except one time and that was an anomaly so I will ignore it). The car has been a dream to own and I have to credit the dealership for maintaining it so well. The staff are friendly and try to accommodate the customer's needs. And THIS time, THEY WASHED MY CAR! They cleaned the inside and washed the exterior. I was amazed. BEST service ever!

I was Interested in financing a 2011 Toyota Sienna LE that they had on stock, and it did not work out. The financing rates given were completely unreasonable based on my credit score and back ground. I did some research about how the financing process works between dealers and the banks, and it turns out they get a commission from the finance loans, and they can negotiate your rates directly with the bank. They weren't able to meet my number for monthly payments, and didn't even considering lowering the 2011 Toyota Sienna LE price or bring up my trade value to match my requirements. Dealerships hate when well informed customers want to do business because they cant sucker the customer out of a dime. They just lost a serious buyer over greedy practices. It's not like you see it in the commercials. Specifically for this Toyota dealership, customers come last. What a shame.

Purchased a 2011 Toyota Corolla from them. It was pre-certified. After experiencing numerous issues things finally settled down. Last week brought car in for service. It appeared they had tried to make improvements. So I decided I wanted to trade in my car and purchase new vehicle. Well, needless say, sales department horrible. The only one who was somewhat helpful was Christian. Four days of going back and forth finally decided to go elsewhere. Went to Parkway Toyota and the experience was excellent. Within one hour (including test driving vehicle) I pretty much had the deal I wanted. I think the worst one was one of the sales manager (Brett or Brent). He was very rude. Told me the price is what it is. Seriously. Think they need a compete overhaul.

I went in for a check up because my warning light is on, Sean Clarke the worst customer service I had at Toyota. He doesn't listen to the customer or let the customer finish telling him what the problem is before he talks over you. Very unfriendly and very rude and unprofessional. Because of him, I will never visit this dealership again. It was a world apart last time when I had a different service representative, I think his name is BIll who listens to the customer and is there to help the customer out and make me trust him. I don't mind paying what I need to get my car fix, but I am more willing to give my money to Bill then Sean. What a world apart. If you go to Toyota Hackensach and you were assign to a guy name Sean Clarke, forget about it, tell the manager you want a different representative who will respect you and who actually listens and are not rude.

Armando is one of the best auto sales professionals I've met. I came all the way from Connecticut and ended up getting a solid deal from the dealership on a CPO Prius, and a very fair price on my trade. Armando is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and is easygoing and smart. I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone who really knows his stuff and is easy to work with. I will definitely work with him again when it comes time for the next one.

My boyfriend and I needed to get our corolla serviced. We met A salesman walking around and he asked us about what we were driving. I was not looking to get a new car but my boyfriend Was talking to him. Salesman was Armando. He asked if he can appraise my car and I said sure. Then he showed us the new corolla and it was so beautiful. I wound up buying the car and trading my old one in. I love the car. The experience was great Armando was very patient and even helped us compare insurance companies so we can save money. My boyfriend and I are really happy to have met him. The next day I left my ez pass and he came and gave it to us directly. I already recommended my friends to go to Hackensack.

I did not end up purchasing a car from here, but Melissa from sales was great, and they were very flexible on used car pricing. The other manager I dealt with acted annoyed with multiple people who would not pay the full listed price for the used car, even as he was negotiating the price down significantly. Not a great negotiating technique.

I'll be straight to the point. I needed a couple (2) of O2 sensors replaced. The said parts and labor would be 972.80 to be exact!!! Outrageous! I told the service salesman to forget it. He said to me, that the parts were like 500 bucks. I bought the 2 sensor from Toyota dealership and they were 390.00. So lets do the math: 972.00-390.00= 582.00 labor! I took my car to the Goodyear mechanic, 115.00 +tax labor. Need I say more? I will not come near this dealer for service, much less for sales.

This was my first service experience with this dealership since the vehicle was purchased from them about two years ago. I was anticipating attempts to up-sell services but that did not happen. I dealt with Bill over the phone and when I mentioned the services I wanted performed, he was nice enough to alert me to the coupon online for the timing belt service which saved me 20%. Bill went above and beyond and had some extra checks performed on the truck and topped it all by having the car washed.

I purchased Toyota Rav 4 from this Dealership. First of all they didnt gave me competative deal. But that should not be part of your decision. Well the experiance of puchasing the vehicle was WORST WORST WORST !!!! They have 3 buildings (New Cars/ Used cars / Certified Cars) I was looking for Certified Rav 4 with third row seat. So I went in the certified building. Well hardly anyone cares about you that you are looking for a CAR. I met to Sales man guy Rich. He showed me Toyota Rav 4 2011 with third row seat. Now when he took me to the car he wasnt explaining much to me. He was behaving as if I already have RAV 4 and I know everything about this CAR. I was asking each and other option/feature of the CAR. I saw the CAR and left that day as I wanted my friend to have look the CAR and decide if that is good one. Next time when I went there they were sure that I am interested in buying this car and no matter what but I will buy that TOYOTA CERTIFIED RAV 4 2011. They offered me $17K for that car having approx 21K miles on the car. Well we finally settled down on that figure and proceeded. The CARFAX report said that CAR has window etches but really there CAR didnt, so I asked them to do the windows etching before they hand over the CAR to me and dont change the price which they agreed on. But after I filled the credit check application to take loan from Toyota finance things started changing. The sales guy was trying to help me or selling me Auto Insurance from one of his Agent to get his commission. They didnt handed me the paper which had breakdown of the Quote which they offered me.Well then we moved to the finance dept where I was supposed to take loan. The sales guy said me hey dont sit here .. this place is only for new customers... my foot they just ran my credit check and took downpayment and am I a old customer. Then we entered in the Finance Manager's cabin. He was talking a lot and parallely asking us to sign all the papers. He wanted me to sign all the papers without looking at them. Finally that is what happened. He added GAP insurance on the sales deal paper almost around $800 which I never asked them. But again that guy might be getting commision out of it.Before leaving from the Manager's cabin I asked why did my total amount going beyond the deal amount which they offered. He said this is what was offered and if you want to talk then dont talk here go to the person who talked. I was feeling as if I am in xxxx...Then I went to the sales dept where I came to know he has added GAP insurance and also charged me for the windows etching which was already mentioned in the advertisement. After 2 weeks of brining car to me I realized that they exchanged the original battery with one of the garbage battery they might had. Mine car was just 2 yrs old as I brought Toyota RAV4 2011 in 2013 how could the CAR didnt start up. I was calling Toyota Road side assistance (Which comes with 1 yr warrenty with certified car) each time I wanted to start the car. I still suspect how they did 160 point verification (which is part of Toyota Certification) where the battery's life was over. Finally dear I would say that below are the points if you are still willing to purchase car from this location.1. Have the offered deal paper or a copy with you till you take away CAR with you.2. Show them but dont hand over the downpayment cheque to them till you take away CAR with you.3. Ask for three set of keys - that is what you should get and everyone gives it.4. Take your time.. to read each and every document before signing it. If you dont understand ask them 100 times but dont dont dont sign. (you are giving them money) they should increase staff if they have more customers.5. Check the car from inside and outside .. take your time dont worry if the sales person doesnt stands with you while you are inspecting the car.Happy Hunting ... I would wish no one would be victim of this fraud dealership. I even suspect why there are two kinds of review here One very positive one very negative.... Its all upto you (I dont know if the positive one's are real buyer's or not)

I then dealt with Bill James as the salesman and took the vehicle for a test drive. Bill was very attentive, excellent customer service and not overbearing regarding trying to sell me the vehicle. My wife and I leased a 2011 Toyota Rav4. At the end of our lease period we returned the vehicle with 27,000 miles. 9,000 miles less than our lease agreement. This vehicle was returned in great shape. We received a letter from Toyota saying that we owe $2,200 in repairs to the vehicle. The invoice says that the roof needs to be replaced and painted? How do you replace a roof ? How can the roof have so much damage when it has roof rack , that was never used ? This was our second vehicle from this dealership. The first leased vehicle we returned had visible front damage to the FJ Cruiser, but because we were getting another vehicle from the dealership so nothing was ever mentioned about the damage. This time we didn't purchase another Toyota and we get slammed with this outrageous bill. The vehicle was not inspected when I brought it in. When we went to the dealership to speak to our sales person, coincidentally wasn't there. A manager spoke to us and he even agreed that the bill sounded ridiculous. We don't have anyone advocating for us. I was a the Customer Relations Manager at a different Toyota dealership and I never would have left a customer standing out in the cold like this. I am extremely dissatisfied by this entire situation and I vow to never purchase another Toyota ever again.

they were a good dealership. they have lots of used rentals on lot. but you must know what stock numbers you want to look at & test drive. else as other dealers they will try to sell you what they want off the lot. for price they use the good cop bad cop game. but when you get a deal have it all written out before you sign anything. all so check over all docs on pick up day. they have a way of adding on fees that were never discussed. but what else is new.

I have shopped for a used toyota at dealerships throughout NJ. My last stop was at the Toyota of Hackensack. They were so unprofessional it was disgusting. They behaved as if they could care less whether I wanted to buy a car or not, as if they were doing me a favor by just answering some of my questions. I dealt with Nico, who blew off a lot of my questions and behaved as if I was wasting his time. I never dealt with such a horrible sales person before. I fell in love with a used RAV4, but Nico didn't seem to care whether I bought it or not and refused to answer all of my questions about it. I ended up not getting the vehicle because of their attitude with me. That entire dealership sucks. There are 3 buildings that they want you to walk to (regardless of weather) in order to chase down a sales man. What happened to a sales man coming to you? Everyone that works there (even the secretary in the main building) has a "I don't care about anything" attitude. When you express your dislike for how they are behaving, rather than apologizing, they ignore you! I will never go back to the Toyota of Hackensack. I don't care if they are giving cars away for free. Those people really need to be trained on how to provide customer service.

I brought my car here to have rotors replaced on a scheduled appointment. Representative said it will be ready in 1 1/2 hours. After 2 hours I inquired about the status and another rep told me that I didn't have an appointment and he said the "C" technician couldn't find the problem. I told him the rotor is warped and needs replacing. After 20 minutes, he came back and said it was pretty loud and why the "C" technician didn't hear it he doesn't know. The rep confirmed it was the rotor. When I questioned him why this wasn't diagnosed a month ago when I brought the car in for maintenance. He just gave me a bunch of bologne and said brakes are important. If it was important, why did you give it to a "C" technician instead if an "A" technician. What should normally take an hour to do ended up wasting 5 hours of my time. I will never return here again even though I purchased my car here.

This was the worst experience I ever had trying to buy a car and in this case, to buy 2 Camry's for cash with two Camrys to trade in. There was no professionalism at all and no customer care given. We spent two hours in an unpleasant looking room. We had to return for an appraisal on one of our trade-ins and was passed over to a second salesman because the first one was too busy. The second salesman immediately asked us if we would buy the cars right now. I said hello and asked what the prices would be. He had no idea of the previous 2 hours discussions we had with Jim and we had to re-tell our story to him. There was no interest in me or my wife,,, just whether we were going to buy that day. They feel that Toyotas sell themselves and no customer courtesy or care is offered. When they gave us a price, they left out that there is a rebate from Toyota for $1,000 each car. WE had to remind them of it. They also never mentioned anything about the warranty and two years of free Toyota service for oil changes and tire rotation. You couldn't pay me to recommend this place to anyone. We went to Parkway Toyota in Englewood and bought both cars there because of fantastic courtesy, personal attention and price ( $700 less tha Hackensack).

I questioned multiple times why a "clogged drain tube with debris" should not be covered under warranty. My car was only two years old and had less than 36,000 miles. They kept insisting that this was a maintenance item, which was not covered under the warranty that the debris was caused from an external factor. I stated that a different dealership says that it should be under warranty. An hour later, the other dealership provided me with a "TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN" stating that all Scion Tc's from the year 2011-2013 exhibits a condition "where water is leaking from the HVAC system. This is caused by the HVAC drain tube becoming clogged with debris." Toyota of Hackensack ripped me off $117.70 for a job that took less than ten minutes to complete. SHAME ON YOU! A formal complaint to headquarters has been filed. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! They just lost a loyal customer.

I traded my old car with an agreement a part for cash back and a part for down payment, the finance manager said i will have the money within 3 days, its been 3 wks now and i have been calling them because i found out they dont pursue the process not unless you call them. the documents has a lot of issue where it says the car is new and some of it is used, no clear details where it seems like its a fraud to buyers.

My lease just ran out and I was looking to buyout my lease or start a new one. The dealer I was working with made my experience with Toyota of Hackensack one of the top 5 worst experiences of my life. They were uncooperative, would try and sell me cars and products which were clearly out of my price range, and when I told her I could not put down a massive down payment way over the $2000 I planned on using she had the gall to tell me to use my credit car on it. She printed out rates they were willing to give me yet would not allow me to take any paperwork home with me to look it over. I've never felt so cheated in my life. On top of that she was dressed very unprofessionally. Went to another dealership the next day, polar opposite experience.

Before I start, let me just say that I did a ton of research on dealer prices, negotating tactics, and consumer report's car buying service, and really did my homework for negotiating a car price. I had gone to many of the dealerships in Northern NJ, including Prestige, Sansone, and Glen Toyota (among many others). Toyota of Hackensack was the best Dealership I dealt with. Bruce from Toyota of hackensack was the most honest person I dealt with at any of the dealerships, and even helped me throughout the process to tell me what to expect. He didnt put any pressure on me to purchase, unlike other dealerships. I negotiated a price with Bruce, but told him I was promised more for my trade in at Prestige (lowering my overall expense). He wanted to make sure I was comfortable, so he said if Prestige doesn't honor that price, I could come back and he'd still honor the price we negotiated. Then I headed to prestige, and they reneged on their trade in offer price. Prestige used a lot of pressure to get me to buy. saying if I left, they wouldn't honor the price, etc. Eventually, they wore me down, and I purchased from prestige. After all was said and done, I regret not going back to Toyota of Hackensack to make my purchase. The end prices were about the same between the two dealerships, but I felt like they were honest at Toyota of hackensack, and I didnt feel that way about Prestige. My mom got her car from Toyota of hackensack, and was very happy with them. If you are in Northern NJ, definitely check these guys out. For the rest of the dealerships in the area: I was able to negotiate a good final price at prestige, but It was a very high pressure experience, and I felt they were deceiving about a few things. Glen toyota seemed ok too, and they were pleasant, but I couldnt get them to get as low as the other dealerships on price. Sansone was the worst. I used Consumer reports car buying service to print out an offer at sansone, but when I got there, they found a loophole and got out of it. They also wouldnt budge too much on the negotiating front, even after I was able to prove to them that I already got way better offers at other places. In short: Toyota of hackensack was the Best!

Beware of this dealership, if I could rate them lower than zero I would, they will scam you. After Hurricane Sandy 11/03/12 I visited this dealership to exchange my lease, at the time they did not have electricity and could not process my down payment. Manager informed me they also owned Glen Motors in Fair Lawn and that Glen Motor would be able to make the down payment transaction because they did have electricity. I signed and Credit Card Authorization form so they could fax to Glen Motors and they could process the payment. Glen Motors processed the payment and I was able to leave with my new car. Three days later Toyota of Hackensack used the Credit Card authorization form and also charged my down payment, needless to say now I was charged twice for my down payment. I been in a battle with Toyota of Hackensack and Glen Motors to credit my credit card for the double charge, 3 months later I still have not received my credit from any of the dealerships. Beware when you pay with your credit card, pay cash!!!!

I forget the guy who did the closing on my car. He was curt and passive agreesive which I find insulting and fustrating. He asked if I wanted the extended warrantee which I refused. He said "Well thats not the smartesr decision you've made today" What a jerk. Closed on my car and got a call from the dealer there was a problem with my contract. I went back in and they drew up a new one. I reviewed it and signed a new contract with monor changes. Got another call from the dealer that I had to sign yet another contract. I reluctently signed the THIRD contract and left the dealer. This time I reviewed the contract and they added the extended warrantee. $2,000.00 for a 48 month warantee. Not an additional 48,000 mile to the 36,000 mile warantee, but only an additional 12,000 mile coverage for $2,000.00. I called TOYOTA who quickly removed the additional $2,000.00 from what I owed on the car. Brought the car in for service for a sunroof rattle twice. Still not fixed. Have an issue with wheel and tire ballance. Still have a vibration at 80mph and above. Everytime I have this car serviced I get it back dirtier than when I drop it off. Test drive for sunroof rattle was performed on the back lot kicking up dust all over my car. Last service car returned to me with black grease on drivers door and seat.I will buy another Camry. Love the car with it's 4 cyl and 6 speed automatic. NO CVT for me!I don't think I'll spend my hard earned money at Toyota of Hackensack.

Looking for car and stopped there found a car, I asked for best price and replied thats the best price for someone who hasn't driven the car. Came back again car was in garage getting window fixed. Called back following week for test drive. I noticed that the car was in an accident, told the sales man and he said " let's look at the Car Fax" that in it's self is a joke. Wouldn't you know that the car fax said no accident. That's the third time that Car Fax was wrong out of ten cars that I looked at. I told him that the car was in an accident and i showed him the damage, but I guess that's when Car Fax works against you. It was incorrect yet they stuck to that story. The car was over price, I told them that the car was going for $ 2000 less everywhere, The manager's answer was " well when you leave someone else is going to take your place, but that's OK there are other car dealers also. Shame on them. I would have liked to talk to the actual owner and have him talk to me that way. Before my test drive the salesman must have called at least six times to make sure I would come for the test drive (William). That was a big waste of time. They thought I couldn't afford the car, but the truth is I didn't want to overpay for that or any car, I meen that's what book value meens.

I have had my car serviced at many of toyota dealerships. Toyota of Hackensack service dept is by far the best. From start to finish. From being greeted by the valet, to the hand shake from my service ad-visor. My service ad visor's name was Cedric Hopson. Usually I make apts, but this particular time I was unable to due to my busy schedule. Knowing how busy dealerships can be, I took a chance. I need to have routine maintenance. Cedric informed me that the wait time was long but if dropped it off, he would try his best to fit me in. He offered me a shuttle ride which conveniently took me to my office. (I would recommend dropping car off for service with out an apt) A short time later Mr. Hopson called to inform me that I also needed brake service and some filters replaced. He assured me that even with the extra work I would still be able to have my car before the close of the business day and the shuttle will pick me up and bring back to the dealer. Mr. Hopsonwas very professional and straight forward. Price were very reasonable compared to other toyota dealers and outside shops. I would highly recommend this toyota dealer. Great staff, great service, and great experience. Thank you Toyota of Hackensack and especially thank you to Cedric Hopson (my new service ad visor)

I came to this dealership and was able to find a BMW 325i at a really good price. Antwan my salesman was great from start to finish and the sales process was as smooth as butter. Because it was a little late when we negotiated the price, I came back the next day to finalize the sale and this is where things get bad. It's called the finance department. After waiting nearly two hours which is about typical I see from dealership experience, I sat with a guy named Steve or Christie jr. as I call him. This guy is as crooked as they come and was out to try and screw me the moment I sat down. First he tells me that he's got good news for me and that he's "GIVING" me an extra 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on the car because he noticed that the one that came with the car was not enough warranty. I thought that was great and then he goes to shoving papers at me to sign with no explanation. He then says that bi-weekly payments will be deducted from my paycheck beginning the very next pay period which I found strange. From experience I know that car payments usually don't begin for at least a month so I was immediately suspicious. I also noticed that my car payment which was discussed with Antwan had all of a sudden gone up from $155 a month to now $220 a month. Thank God I didn't leave that place without looking at the finance agreement because that so called extra warranty Steve was so called "giving me" was actually being charged to me at $2500. Not only that, incredibly, Steve, yes Steve had signed me up for Smart Pay without telling me thus the bi- weekly deduction. Well once I saw this I went back and asked him to take it out but he tried to insist that the car would literally fall apart if I didn't get the extended warranty. He said I was crazy for not wanting the warranty but I stood my ground and insisted the $2500 dollar warranty be removed. Reluctantly he did but only after I waited 2 hours for him to do a new finance agreement. I later called my bank who informed me that the bi-weekly amount taken from my account had nothing to do with them and I should have that ceased. When I called Yes Steve on this matter, he said he had forgotten to do it and that he couldn't fix it because it was Saturday which I later found to be untrue. I was given a 1-800 number and told to fix it myself. Fortunately the smart pay was deactivated but with a $25.00 deactivation fee which Steve could have deactivated from his office free of charge. I was told to call the finance director and complain but at what end? I'm sure they are more than aware of Steve's crooked practices and all I can say is that I will NEVER visit this dealership again and have already told 30 of my friends to steer clear of them. My compliments to Antwan again but from the other reviews the finance department are loaded with CROOKS, CROOKS, and more CROOKS!!!!! Stay FARRRRRRR away!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had multiple issues with this dealer, I went to buy a car and thought I was having a great experience with a great salesman who was trying to help me out, told us we qualified for 2.9% financing on a use certified pre-owned car... told us what our price range was.. gave us a fantastic deal on our trade in.. what could go wrong? That was the wrong way to think.. Picking out the car was great! We were so happy we found something in our budget and we were getting a good deal on our trade in that WE DIDN'T EVEN NEGOTIATE THE PRICE ON THE CAR! Then we went to the finance department.. we waited forever (which is fine we all know buying a car takes time), when we finally got in, we were basically thrown papers and told not to read them and just sign (something we never do). Mike Finn (the finance manager) told us that we NEEDED the extended warranty (NO SIR), made me feel like if we didnt get it that our car was going to fall apart! He got so pushy at one point I looked at my husband and said "if he is so worried about this car we should probably skip it", he then backed off but called me stupid, at this point I had to remove myself from the situation and leave the finance office. My husband came back to get me for the final paperwork and since hte montly payments ended up being what Paul had said I thought nothing of it. The next day I started looking at the financial paperwork, none of it added up, I was confused. I then spent all day calling Toyota of Hackensack trying to get it resolved, I got a bunch of "I don't knows" "he's out of the office" etc. I finally got Mario (their head salesmanager) on the phone who got me back to Mike Finn... once again I was told I was basically dumb and couldnt add. I spend the next few days working and in my spare time trying to figure out the math.. maybe I was wrong.. but no.. I wasn't , if there is one thing I am good at it is numbers, I am a Civil Engineer and no one is going to screw me with number games. I decided to go into Toyota myself and have them explain it to my face. Best decision I made in the enire process at this location. When getting to Toyota we were told the Finance Manager was in a meeting and he would be out in 10 minutes.. so we waited, I refused to leave before this got resolved. We waited THREE HOURS to talk to him. During this time we went to find our salesman Paul Almedia who when we mentioned the finances to him about we were supposed to get the car for the price on the window and nothing added up looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable.. Another finance officer (Steve) looked at our papers and said "I really want to help you guys but I can't get this to add up, and he said the price outloud we were told we paid for the car.. That is when I knew someone had screwed us.. What had REALLY happened is we told Paul Almedia what we could afford to pay per month (MISTAKE NUMBER 1), they were having a weekend sale on the Corollas where everything was about 1k off, what he did was lead us into believe we were getting the price that was in big colorful numbers on the front of the car (which was 1k lower than sticker) and sent our stuff over to financing with the higher cost on our sheets which seems to be illegalAfter waiting 3 hours to talk to the Finance manager we didn't get so much as an "I'm sorry, we messed up". The issue was corrected and I was told they were going to send a check to Toyota Financial for the difference in price and taxes. WATCH OUT FOR THIS TACTIC, NEGOTIATE A PRICE OF THE VEHICLE NOT MONTHLY PAYMENTS... Lesson learned for me, but luckily I caught it within the week of buying the car... Hope this helps someone in the future not encounter what we did.

I bought my 3rd Camry from Toyota of Hackensack the other day and left as pleased as ever. I live near a Bigger dealer right off the highway, but will always travel to these guys, it is so worth it. They treat you with respect, give a great price, and the finance department is great. This is the place that gets all by business, a sweet ride I can afford every month!

I purchased by car at Toyota of Hackensack and continue to use them for service. Every time I drive in for service I am greeted by a polite attendant and directed inside to meeting with a service writer. I worked with Cedric during my last visit and he was very professional and courteous. I dropped my vehicle off and was given a ride to work. Cedric called with the technician recommendations which I chose to have completed. The price was very reasonable and Cedric called me when it was done. I highly recommend this dealer!!

Bought a 2009 Camry from Toyota of Hackensack and loved the experience. Sam was very nice and straightforward, and the deal I got was the best on the internet. I could not be happier with the interest rate also, 2.9%, and the certified coverage that was free. It was like getting a new car at a HUGE discount. Thanks guys, you have a customer for life that will tell all his friends!

I recently bought a car at Toyota of Hackensack and I was really very impressed. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me and my partner pick out the perfect car for us, negotiated with us on financing and helped us get the deal with wanted. If you're looking a place with good atmosphere and service, you should check these guys out.

I have bought my first new car, a Beautiful Camry through toyota of Hackensack and I love it. Billy was great, worked well with me and gave me a price that I could work with in my budget. Mike Finn was also very nice and walked me through my MANY questions as this was my first new car! Even though I live closer to another Toyota dealer, I will come to Hackensack for life! Thanks so much.

My office just relocated and my commute is much longer, so I wanted a new, smaller car that's good on gas. I always buy Toyota but I wasn't really happy with the service at the dealership I'd used before, and I saw that Toyota of Hackensack had good reviews and excellent prices. My sales rep Bill was very nice and worked so hard to get me a good deal and financing. Fastest and easiest buying process ever. Very happy with Toyota of Hackensack!

Toyota of Hackensack has a phenomenal service department. For being a large dealership, it very easy to make an appointment with them, and their prices are reasonable. A few years ago, I took my old Camry there when I thought no one would be able to get it running again, but they did. Now that I have a new car (a Toyota Corolla), I plan on servicing it only with them.

Toyota of Hackensack is one of the better dealerships Ie dealt with in North Jersey. Ie purchased two cars from them, and their selection is much better than any of the other Toyota showrooms Ie visited in this area. They responded quickly to my requests for price quotes both times I used them, and the salesmen are helpful without being aggressive.

My wife and I have purchased new Toyota's for a long time (e.g. Coralla, Camry, 4Runner limited, Sequioa SR5) at different dealerships and have never experienced the type of customer service that has been provided by Toyota of Hackensack in New Jersey. I purchased a vehicle from this Toyota dealership and this should have been a great experience but unfortunately it's starting to get on my nerves. At the time of my purchase, I wanted to keep my old license plates but they insisted they had to provide temporary tags and forward the new tags at a cost of $150. The temporary tag that was provided was only for 20 days and has since expired. I've been on the phone with this dealership multiple times before and after the tags expired trying to get my new tags to no satisfaction.

It hard to find a reputable dealer nowadays, which is why I always return to Toyota of Hackensack. My wife and I have both leased cars from them, and theye always been very honest. Ie looked into other dealerships, and they definitely have the best deals on new Toyotas in Bergen County. They won haggle with you or lie about the cars theye selling, and I really respect that.

I WAS PROMISED a catalytic converter and a sideview mirror ( glass only ) installment . Dropped off my car at scheduled time and when i called to find out the status 3 hours later ( promised time ) they hadn't even started on my car. I was told by XENIA that it would be ready by 5.30pm. Then at 5.00 pm. she called and said the mirror was installed but did not function and the catalytic converter was warped ?? So they had to order it from west caldwell. A loaner car was offered and apologies . However when i was dropping off the car in the morning one of the mechanics had come to ask RON if he could sell the catalytic converer to someone else and RON TOLD HIM IT WAS FOR ME . Suddenly my ordered converter for $800 was warped at 5pm when i dropped off the car at 10.30am. Somethings fishy about this place. It was probably sold after all. Chris the mechanic had diagnosed this car and order the part then why would it not fit?The part and labor was going to to be well over a thousand dollars and a timing belt installation scheduled for the following wednesday also another 1000.00 . This is how i feel .. if i am going to spend 2000.00 in two visits and the service is going to stink .. I have a choice to go back to Ramsey where the service is impeccable. They deliver their service with great honor and pride. You can see it in their efficent ways . In comparison this dealership in Hackensack, the communication skills are poor and one can sense the insincerity in their voice .I feel for JONATHAN BRETT the service manager .. who is trying so hard to change the set ways of his employees but some of them are just unprofessional and refuse to raise their standards.Unfortunately I purchased my highlander hybrid from Here ( 45000 ) and now am stuck with them ... OR AM I ? I am moving on ...thanks TOYOTA of HACKENSACK SERVICE DEPT for chasing yet another good customer away.My only advise to you guys is IMPROVE YOUR SERVICES . After all , you work in service... take it from me ... i provide service to 100 customers a day ...

I negotiated online which I believe saved me a lot of time in the dealership. I had a very nice salesman, Pedro, who did not pressure me into purchasing extra items such as extended warranty or undercarriage rust proofing. As this was my first truck, I was extremely grateful that Pedro sat in the truck with me and explained all of the new bells and whistles. When I left I was confident I could drive this new truck without getting stuck or wondering how to use it. Thank you Toyota of Hackensack!

I bought a used Rav4 from Hackensack Toyota about a year ago. The car has been wonderful. I cannot say the same about dealing with Hackensack Toyota. The people there do not seem rude, just completely incompetent. I was moving from the east coast to the west coast immediately after purchasing the vehicle. They assured there would be no problem with getting the appropriate plates and registration. This turned into a total nightmare. I arrived on the west coast being told they would be sent the plates by the DMV and they would then pass them on to me. This was in August. They dealership temp plates ran out in the end of Sept. I did not receive the legal plates until December! At one point the woman in NJ suggested I got to the NY DMV and get the plates myself. I explained to her, again, that I was in California. I wish this next part was a joke....She then asked me if NJ was a long way from California. Again, not rude, just unbelievably dumb. Finally all this got sorted out.Recently I moved back to the east coast and found a refund check from Hackensack Toyota had been sent to my old address. Why? Who knows?! I called them three times to get a new check made as the old one had expired. It took me a full month to get a real person on the phone. She assured me they would send the check out immediately. That was two months ago. So. The car has been wonderful. I will continue to drive Toyotas for many years. I will never, Never, NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone.

The service department as a whole is very good and I appreciate that they are good about communicating with customers as they service the car with options as they move through the process. I have had service both routine and non-routine completed at this dealership and has always been very satisfied. They do a really good job and would certainly recommend VIP Honda to friends and family.

On July 26, 2011, my daughter leased a new 2011 Toyota Tacoma from Toyota of Hackensack and I was a co signer. I am a Toyota owner and am very pleased with my car and the dealer from whom I made the purchase. We only went to Toyota of Hackensack since they had the exact vehicle and color my daughted desired. My daughter test rode the vehicle on the streets of Hackensack and did not have the opportunity to test ride it on the highway. We took delivery of the vehicle on the same day; however, the delivery was delayed as the dealer had to fix a defective front seat. Prior to delivery the sales rep Jimmy D requested we give them positive ratings on any Toyota survey and this request was also reinforced by the finance manager. On our ride home on route 80, the car began to "Shimmy" as it hit 60 mph. You could feel it in the ride and in the steering wheel. the following morning, we reported it to the sales rep who said he would arrange for a service visit to immediately correct. Because both my daughter and I work, the visit was set for first hing Saturday morning July 31 with assurances from the sales rep we would be taken care of as soon as we arrived and the vehicle would be given top priority since it was a new purchase. When we arrived, no one expected us and we were told it would be 4 hours before the vehicle could be inspected. Since we had other appointments, we had to leave for another date. Contact was made with the sales rep who apologized for the mixup and another appointment set for Monday, August 4 with priority treatment. Again, my daughter arrived (I should also comment the round trip to this dealership is 50 miles) and she again was put off and no loaner was initially provided. finally that mixup was corrected and my daughter left with a loaner. She was advised the vehicle ws fixed and road tested and she returned to pick up the vehicle. On the ride home agaon the "shimmy" was still there at 60 MPH. No on had apparently rode tested.Again we went thru the problem with the sales rep who offered the now tiring apologies and another visit was scheduled for Tuesday August 2nd. this time i brought it in early in the morning with the understanding I needed a loaner and had to be at a n important meeting at 8:00 AM. I, too, experienced a mixup and a loaner vehicle was provided; however, they could not find the keys for the vehicle and i was delayed until they found them and was late for my meeting. The could not address the problem on the 2nd and they assured us it would be adressed by August 4. Jo0nathan, the service rep seemed sincerely interested in fixing the problem and the sales rep did not return any of my calls. My daughter was advised mid afternoon that the wheels wer balanced and weights added and this should be the fix required. Later she was advised that was not the answer and now they would inspect the tires.Jonathan got back to my daughter and stated the problem was with the front tire. The good news - they found the problem - the bad news they did not have a replacement tire. No good for delivery of the vehivle on August 3.As of August 4, we still await final news of rode testing and car delivery. With this organization, I am not sure that will happen. A person should not have to live with this kind of service with a brand new vehicle. when i did finayy catch up to the sales rep he hung up on me. I was only going to ask him for my tickets - You know the tickets for the circus they are running at Toyota of Hackensack.

I visited the dealership in process of shopping for a car. I'd had Toyotas before & was familiar with them & satisfied with their quality. I'd already been to a Honda dealership to look, but had not test driven anything. Paul showed me a # of cars, fitting what I wanted. He showed me a fully packed Camry, with very low mileage & in looking it over, there were some body defects: a side mirror that had been poorly repainted and protective material around wheels peeling off. When questioned, he replied: "What do you expect, it's a used car!" However, he did take care of all the body problems, replacing the protective stuff with some kind of metal and repainting the mirror, perfectly. I'd asked for a history on the car & did finally get a printed copy (the Honda dealer had offered it to me immediately). The history of the car was unclear and it had been bought at auction, which made me a little uncomfortable. I decided to check the dealership's ratings. This dealership had pretty terrible ratings in Service, Finance and Used Car sales! I myself had a not wonderful experience in the Service Dept.Paul Almeida was very helpful and went out of his way to make the sale, but I felt uncomfortable buying a used car from this dealership! I've bought a Honda Accord & my experience with that dealer has been first rate!

I walked in to purchase an new toyota yaris. The sales person was very nice and friendly. But the finance manager was a jerk! Because we got 0% financing on the car, he would not let us leave without purxhasing other warranties even though we did not want them. And even though we declined them he still added them to my receipt. He is horrible and tried to scam us. Went back that same night after reviewing the paper work and was told by him that his job is to sell warranties and it has been added to my contract and he already got his commission on it. Very horrible to deal with. I had to call the 1800 number to complain and get it removed. They also never called me when my plates were ready. I had to shop up there a few times til I finally got them which was the day the temporary tag expired and demanded getting them that day. I went to parkway Toyota or englewood cliffs to renew my warranty and for service. A much better staff to deal with.

Stay away! I was visiting NJ and needed a fan belt repaired. I took it there because it was close. It took them two days to repair. They called me to say that the car was done and I could pick it up after 3PM; when I showed up it was still not finished. They gave me a loaner to get home and I had to pick it up the next morning. Subsequently I turned the A/C on (which was working fine prior to the service) and the compressor would not switch on. They told me I had to drive back and drop the car off for another service in order to see if they forgot to enable the compressor after the previous service. I will never go back there!

Be warned!!! I've had the displeasure of dealing with Toyota of Hackensack and the unprofessional service based on lies and greed. Augie is the finance salesperson and we all know they make money on extra services, so he starts lying about their maintenance service saying I could get tuneup from any dealership which ended up false. I would have to go back to ONLY Hackensack because I was turned away from the closer Toyota dealership and found out afterwards that it only covered an oil change. I decided to cancel these services and here is where my frustration began, I came in to his office to cancel service and he said it would be taken care of. I wait for my next bill and I notice there hasn't been a credit, he kept lying telling me it takes a month to process. He just kept lying and gave me a number for the person handling my return and she never picks up the phone or calls me back. I would not see a refund until 5 months later. Just stay away from this dealership built on lies and deceit to take your hard earned money! There are plenty of other well maintained Toyota dealership than this one. DO NOT BUY from Toyota Hackensack, you have been warned!

I recently went to Hackensack Toyota looking for a Sienna. I had called several dealerships the day before and Hackensack (Mary) gave me the best price. Bill came up to us and was very friendly. He spent a lot of time going through the ins and outs of the vehicle we wanted and the whole car purchasing process. He also took us for a test drive. Bill went out of his way to get us a great trade in price for our truck and really cared. We literally spent hours there, the day was getting a bit long,so we had to leave for other appointments I had made prior. The dealership itself is massive. Financing manager Michael Finn snuck two warranties (tire & key replacement) into the final price of the car. When asked if we wanted these two warranties, we said no, and he said they wouldn't cost anything and that they were included. Little did we know, he just snuck them into the final price of the car. When, I called to ask about the discrepancy and lack of documented price, he actually yelled at me on the phone and was extremely rude. He never once brought up the fact that I do have 60 days to cancel the warranties. Said I'm just one of thousands of customer's he deals with, are you kidding me who says that? Not someone you want to buy a car from. The financial services department at this dealership is extremely deceiving and very difficult to get in touch with. My daughter and I came in to look at a used car and were ultimately referred to Antonio. He was very halpful, not at all pushy, and encouraged her to look at several different cars and test drive them. He asked questions to determine the type of car in which she was interested, and then identified available vehicles to suit her needs. He was a pleasure to deal with, and we would both recommend him to anyone. The finance dept, however, was extremely aggressive in pushing the extended warranty, and she had a hard time getting out of there because of all their pressure. That part was not fun.

The salesman (Peter Pepin) did more than I expected, even got me deal better than the other salesperson in the same showroom and then ensured that I got the most benefits from this deal with great after sales support. If you go to Toyota of Hackensack, make sure you ask for Peter.

I was planning to purchase a minivan. I was trying to compare Toyota and Honda. I went to this dealer to test drive first. My questions to them was "1. give me a reasonable price. 2. do you have the car?" I told them that I will ask Honda the same questions and do my comparison. They didn't give me any of the info at all. All they did was to tell me how stupid I am for even considering Honda.

Mellie Dixon was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested and was very aggresive in finding the car I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. She was also very prompt in getting back to me and that meant alot to me since I wanted to purchase the car that same day. I have and will continue to recomend Mellie and Toyota of Hackensack to my friends and family.

There was hidden fee.I spent whole day to fix my payment error. The person in the finance department was very rude. However, the sales person was very responsible and helped me a lot.Overall, I hated the dealer shop.I felt as they look down on me. Even though, I am young, they shouldn't look down on me as their customer !!

Why do they bother to have a phone number if they never answer it? I called the service department at least 15 times (I am a patient person) over the course of 4 days. Not once did they answer the phone. This was regardless of what time I called. On a couple of occations, the receptionist answered only to drop the call when I asked for the service department. I called again and asked when would be the best time to call the service department because they never answer when I call directly, this time she put me on hold for about 10 minutes. Then the call dropped. I called again and demanded to talk to the manager, the receptionist put me on hold again and I never got to talk to the manager. I went online and made an appointment hoping they would call me back to confirm. I gave a detailed list of the problems with my 4 Runner. I was hoping they would get back to me because the repairs cost a considerable amount. I never heard from them. Finally got up early and went straight to the place. They told me I had to make an appointment, I told them that I did. The girl said their system was down the last couple of days. I made another appointment personally. When I went for service a few days later, they couldn't find me in the system, so I walked out fuming. this guys are incredible. It looks like they log in here and make up good reviews to counter the bad ones. Just look at the dates. Stay as far away as possible from this place. businesses like this one is why NJ has the ugly reputation it has.

I went looking for my first new car and thanks to Peter I found a great deal on a RAV4 and bought it after the test drive. Peter was very helpful and knowledgable about the car and what had to be done to purchase it. He helped me get the financing on it by going to great lengths. He has been one step ahead of me the whole time. I definitely recommend anyone to see Peter. He goes all the way in helping a person get a car. He is also helping me fix my credit.

My father and i walked in to look for my 1st car. I had didnt no exactly what i wanted yet, but my father let me know if he was going to buy it that it had to be a toyota. There i was helped by mrs. lorena c i think it was. She helped us out in finding the right car for me, and really took the time and had patients with me beacuase i was very unsure and probably annoying. So i was undecided betweent he corolla and camry. The sales lady lorena really stayed and made me understand the pros and cons of both. i would never write a review but i just appriciated her goood help because i can be a hard customer. She deserves me to take out 5 mins of my time to let her know i like her work. I ended up buyin a tundra by the way. =).

Recently purchased a 2010 model Camry. Was offered an amazing once in a lifetime deal, and not only did i walk out extremely satisfied, but my sales woman also went the extra mile to provide me with lunch for being in the dealership all day on a saturday. As well the staff and management were very friendly and made me feel like a part of the "family" so to say... great experience, would definately consider buying my next vehicle from them again.

I was researching buying a car for a long while before an absolute commuting emergency sent me to Toyota Hackensack on a very short notice. My experience on the sales floor was frustrating and the finance department was woefully incompetent. I cannot overemphasize how incompetent the finance department was. Please scroll to the third paragraph for a more detailed explanation about how the FINANCE DEPARTMENT is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY INCOMPETENT.On the sales floor, I was helped by Lorena C and Peter Pepin. Lorena C's attitude ranged from blatantly inattentive to customer needs to downright rude. Much of her suggestions were based on her assumptions of me as a person (age, occupation, etc) and the car I previously drove. In addition, when I asked legitimate questions about the offer they presented to me, her attitude became belittling and rude as if it was an outrage that I had the audacity to question the quote the provided for me. Mind you, I called several dealerships including Toyota of Hackensack for a quote on the car before I walked into the dealership, so I had an idea of what an acceptable price range would have been. I was later helped by Peter Pepin who was at least made an effort to be outwardly friendly and engaging although I suspect that they were not being entirely truthful about not having a very popular car in stock (they tried to sell me the car in a different trim, which was more expensive). They called another dealership about having that car in stock, and they told me that it was not available. I did not call to verify, but it seemed somewhat dubious that two dealerships would not have this car in stock. However, the worst part of the experience was dealing with the finance department. I cannot remember the name of the guy that helped me, but I honestly cannot believe that anybody this incompetent can possibly keep a job. He had to reprint the invoice well over 10 times, because they were littered with serious errors. I'm talking about him actually handing me an invoice for a Corolla where the amount financed plus the down payment and all fees was over $25,000 dollars. I understand making mistakes on the job after a long day, but he could not even catch SERIOUS MAJOR MISTAKES before handing me a contract to look over. While such gross incompetence is appalling, I honestly hope it was incompetence and not some sneaky attempt to have tired customers agree to pay an amount that was absolutely and ridiculously over the quoted amount. The bottom line is that people who work in finance should know how to finance a car. The customer should not have to be the person responsible for catching the finance guy's errors over and over again.

STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! READ OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS DEALERSHIP IN HACKENSACK BEFORE GOING THERE!!!!!These guys are like the hustlers of hustlers. I walked into the dealership to purchase a 2010 Toyota Camry LE. I was intereted in getting an idea of a price for the car but I couldn't get a straight answer from the guy. He demanded that I give him photo id before he gave me a hint of the price. I asked why he needed the id but he said that this dealer-buyer relationship was a "give-and-take" relationship and that he wouldn't give me a firm car price until I gave it to him. I gave him the id and he still wouldn't give me a straight answer. I told him to write the price of the car on paper but outright refused. I said I really can't purchase the car if I don't know the FINAL FINAL (walkout) price of the car in advance and that even before I make the decision my wife had to give the final OK. The second the salesperson hears this he goes into this hissy fit that he was married for 31 years and that he was the guy in the house and he decided what to buy, etc. etc. I left the auto dealership with a bad taste and not even a price to walk out it. STAY AWAY,my friends. -- This comes from a guy who NEVER writes reviews.

My wife and I decided to look into leasing a Higlander or Sienna. She called Mary in Internet sales and indicated our budget and what our expectations were. Mary told her that they could definitely work within our budget and to come in and see her. When we arrived at the dealership, we asked for Mary, who then referred us to a general new car sales rep and walked away. The sales rep was nice, but basically provided us with information contrary to what Mary had told us on the phone. We once again gave our budget and asked if they could work with it. The salesperson told us that he would speak to his Manager. The Manager was sitting behind his desk and did not even look up at our sales rep when speaking. Our sales rep came back and gave us a down payment and monthly payments much higher than what we proposed. We politely thanked him and got up to leave (as we had another appointment with DCH Honday of Paramus - whom we ultimately bought our car from and whom I would highly recommend). He told us to hold on and he would talk to his Manager again. Same story - except this time after stalling us for about 20 minutes - another sales rep came over to try and move the deal forward. This new rep basically told us that if we want to stay within our numbers to look at the RAV4. We explained that we did not want the RAV4 and that we called before coming in to see if our budget could sustain a Highlander or Sienna (which we were told was possible). The rep became very aggressive and spoke down to us. He even interrupted my wife. After basically insulted us - he made my wife cry. We basically got up to leave and after our original rep came over to apologize - not the manager nor Mary apologized or followed up with us. Wow. After reading these reviews, I see that we are not alone. I don't forsee this dealership being around too much longer.

dishonest sales practices coupled with rudeness and attitude (Warren Talmo, Lorena C.), horrible attention to detail (Fred Belloti, Mario Puentas, Fred Radulic), the worst new car buying & customer service experience at any car dealership or any other purchase, bait and switch in regards to car VIN (Walter Talmo, Lorena C.) AND loan finance amount (Michael Finn & Augie), durng negotiations insisted that new car had to be brought in from 250-300 miles away at cost of $300 extra, dealer did not tell customer but secretly presented customer with a different car which came from Brooklyn NY less than 20 miles away, car presented for sale had physical damage (scratched odometer plastic, marred paint on driver's side under spoiler, driver's door chipped - provided wrong color touch up paint, etc.), after-market heated leather seat wire outline showing through driver's side seat cushion - in numerous times for repair (at least 5x) yet still not resolved, they scratched top of car by sun roof, they damaged car dash during detail (yet deny it), had to fight to get carpeted floor mats dealer said I had to pay for with car, didn't tell customer about free 90 days XM Satellite radio, paid for Lo-Jack and later found out dealer gave me car w/o it being installed, Lo-Jack tech kept calling to schedule install w customer, had to request Lo-Jack certificate from Lo-Jack 4x before it came, dealer did not supply, still have not received heated seat system and warranty information, had to request tire warranty from dealer numerous times, registration they presented to me is off-line and can barely be read. GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, WISH I HAD!

Keith Gonsisko insisted on ordering un-needed parts for a simple swap of struts (struts were still covered by a warrantee). When he was questioned as to the reasons for ordering and swaping additional parts he refused to handle the order, passing me to his assistant. The assistant declared there changing of struts under warrantee can not be performed unless a complete check-up is done to the car at a cost of $99.00.Both Keith and his assistantclearly showed no integrity nor careed to maintain the value of the Toyota brand name.

Once you're here, you get the feeling that you're being taken for a ride. Their prices are higher and overall service, poor. The only reason I came here is because they're more willing to apply your loan through Toyota Financial Services (dealers do that only if they absolutely want to sell a car). I visited them at a time when the previous two days had continuous snowfall. They had no customers as a result, so when I came in they just wanted to make a sale. It worked for me, since I am a recent college grad with hilarious credit. Other dealers had shooed me away, so I just had to get my loan approved from somewhere. That's the ONLY reason I might recommend this dlrshp to someone -- only because they're more willing to apply through TFS. Otherwise, there's nothing remarkable. Bill James is a decent man and courteous; I praise him. However, the service guys are the RUDEST people on earth. A guy called Keith is a real con. I had a small bend on my rim. They charged me $50 to fix it. Problem is, they didnt fix it at all. They had banged away at it with a hammer. My stupidity was that I didnt protest at the time, but when I cam back later complaining that the wobbling was still there, they refused to even look at it. Keith was very rude, even though I am an extremely polite person. Also, I feel they don't do their jobs properly when you bring your car in for regular servicing.

Brought the car in for engine light check. Was quoted $99 to diagnose the car and if work is done there, diagnostic charge will be waived. Got phone call to quote the price. Had the call on speakerphone so my wife heard it also. Price quote for parts and labor was $135. I thought it was quite reasonable!!! WRONG. Actual Price was $435.$185 for an outrageously priced oxygen sensor. Internet part prices range from $35 to $85. We know dealer parts are expensive to begin with but wanted the peace of mind. $185 for part, $99 for diagnostic, $149 flat rate for replacing the oxygen sensor. I am SURE it takes 90 minutes to jack up the car, disconnect the sensor and reconnected with a new one. Called Keith the Service Rep twice to voice my complaint. Keith insisted that it is their way of doing business. No wonder Toyota Hackensack only has a 2.5 rating. They will not be getting any more of my business for sure. Left voice message with Sean (Service Mgr). Will definitely write to Toyota Public Relation if this is not resolved.

First I called them to quote a 09 RAV4 price. I try to use phone/internet sales because people said it is less pressure then visit dealership. Their price is no good at all, about the same as MSRP. And I told them their price is too high and they told me GO TO OTHER DEALERSHIP!! the internet sales is Mary, she kept saying "I am not dropping the price, you can't get the price you want". Very bad. Second I tried to go to the dealership and meet other sales. the sales is Kang, price is no good either and said the same thing: " go to other dealership if you want".Of course I went to other dealer and get my 09RAV4.

at hours after i picked up the car, i noticed that the car had a 'ding' or small dent.I spoke to Mario, who is the 'sales' manager. Though I expressed a concern that further damage would occur when they attempted to repair the ding, I was given his guarrantee that no further damage will be done to the paint and i would not be able to spot the defect. However i have no good fuzzy feeling that he will stand behind his words.I am not entirely satisfy with the solution, as it puts me in a position where I may wind up with a car that will have a real visible defect. I would have preferred if an alternative was offered. It would make me feel that the dealership would be willing to go the extra yard to earn my satisfaction. Mario basically stated 2 option, that he'll repair the ding or leave it. It sound like a take it or leave it. I made an appointment with Bill James to review the 'ding' and to discuss a resolution. I was not happy that he was not there at the apponted time. I dealt with 'Giovanti' who was pretty useless and with Mario who was not really interested with making me happy. So far my experience has turn out from good to bad. I'm am going to forward this to Toyota Customer Service. This is a classic example of how once the deal is completed, customer satisfaction becomes lip service.

Be careful as they tend to scratch your car door and leave grease at the leg area on the driver's side. I pointed that out to them three times and only one time they admit to it. Their technicians are careless and were seen playing around at the car repair area. You would get a call from their customer service manager for follow up. That's more of a show as he just tabulate the statistics of how many people are satisfied with their service. If you have any problem, he would only forward you to the service person. What a service??????

I have been dealt with 4 different TOYOTA dealer services for 12 years and this one is the worst I have ever experieced. The price doesn't matter because all dealer's service is expensive anyway, but the attitude of will for helping the customer's request is terrible. They are not willing to listen to the customer's request even some savvy customer knows what to do. They insist to diagnose first even there is TSB information available through internet. And, the once acknoledged TSB, but afterwhile, the service manager(Shawn Wittenberg) declined my service just because I made a claim to TOYOTA HQ in Calif. for this outrageous experience. It is a silly act of retaliation. I really feel this dealership is not professional at all.

Despite using our AAA membership to guarantee a hassle and haggle free experience, we felt this dealer never gave us an honest answer. Dealer claimed Touring edition of Prius was not available, but suddenly had a model in their lot two weeks later. Overall, we did not get the sense that the dealer was honest in their dealings with us, and we felt they were being less than honest in trying to scare us with estimates of how long getting the model we wanted would take.
