It was my 1st visit to TOYOTA UNIVERSE, I went in to just take a look around with my Dad. I was greetedby "KEVIN ADAMS", my Sales Guy. He was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and getting me a price that I can definitely work with. The whole experience was great. I left Toyota Universe with a Certified- Pre Owned 2015 Toyota Rav4 that is completely Pristine from top to bottom and at a great price. I called a tow truck , brought the car to Toyota .. they found it was the ac condenser letting off exist water through a drain tube .. that put me at ease .. thank you Vincent Munoz and your crew ..

I have been looking for a car and ended up at Toyota universe. so far the best dealership i have ever been to. starting from sales until the finish line. Deep was very helpful. He explained all the important safety features in the 2017 Toyota Camry that i was mostly concerned about. He also helped me set up my Bluetooth and all the other features i had no clue of. He was very patient and professional at his craft.Not pushy and no hidden fees, like other dealers. no back and forth or any of that hassle. would recommend seeing Mr Patel to my friends and family and will always stop at the Universe and purchase my future vehicles. Deeps Manager Ishmael was the same, he also went into all the details and fees that i was worried about , but at the end i was very happy and comfortable. Finally, Deep made me very comfortable purchasing my vehicle and was very helpful and patience through out the whole process.

Buyer beware!!! When purchasing a certified used car with cash, I ran into multiple issues, some of which are illegal. The short version (for those that don't want to read this long review): they will charge you for services that they do not provide, and falsify documents to hide the fact that they overcharged you.The long version: it started when I saw a car that they had advertised online. I called ahead to set up a test drive. When I showed up, I found that their fees were much higher (2-3x) than other dealerships' fees. I negotiated the price of the car with this in mind, though I did feel that it was shady, as they had listed a low price car online and then added almost 3k in fees to the price.Among the fees they charge are several hundred dollars for VIN etching, which I agreed to because it gives me a discount on my insurance and I'm too busy to do it myself (you can get a VIN etching kit for $30 on Amazon). In addition, they charged me over a thousand dollars for an inspection fee. I asked the salesperson (Mike Garcia) if that included state inspection. Since they would have had to inspect the car before putting it for sale, the only way I was going to agree to that exorbitant fee was if it included state inspection. Otherwise, it is not a service they are providing me and therefore not one they should charge for. When I made that argument to Mike, he assured me that the inspection fee included state inspection.I purchased the car with cash (be aware that, if you want CC points, they only allow you to put $2500 on your credit card, the rest I had to write a check for). They rushed me through signing documents that were not completely finished (I know, that's my bad for signing anyway). When I returned two days later to pick up the car, I was in the midst of a family emergency (I was literally going to the hospital from the dealership). They gave me the keys and a folder with paperwork and I rushed out of there.Well! That's when the fun began. I got home to discover the following:1. No etching had been done.2. No state inspection sticker.3. None of the paperwork they provided me with was signed.I contacted them via email. No response. After three emails, they finally responded back to my complaint with an evasive answer about the etching fee, and a promise to put a copy of the signed paperwork in the mail. Again, after several emails from me about the etching and inspection fees, they agreed to refund the etching fee. (Still ignoring my complaint about the inspection fee.) I asked them to let me know when they would be mailing the check. No response. After weeks of emailing them and getting very few responses (most of their responses came after I threatened legal action), they have said that the etching fee refund was mailed out, but have repeatedly refused to give me a date it was mailed or any tracking information. They are now claiming that their inspection fee does not include state inspection and that I paid them ~$1200 to "guarantee" that my car would pass the state inspection. That is NOT what they told me at the point of sale, and thus they lied and misrepresented their fee to me.To top all this off, the paperwork they sent me has been doctored. In the original paperwork (which I have an unsigned copy of), they had charged me several hundred dollars worth of fees that they should not have (such as a credit check fee for me and the "additional owner," despite the fact that I paid cash and there is no additional owner). The second set of paperwork they sent me has removed those fees (I mentioned them in an email to the company before they sent me the new paperwork), but other fees have been magically increased to keep the final price the same. So, add forged documents to the list of complaints.I have tried repeatedly to get the company to work with me towards a resolution. I have waited a month to post this review in the hopes that they would do the right thing and refund the etching and inspection fees (at the very least). However, they have continued to refuse to do this. I am taking legal action, and urge others who do not want to end up with legal fees to avoid the scams put forth by this company.

I called regarding a Toyota Rav4 2013 with 26k miles listed for 15995. I called from Denver ready to buy the car cash and the sales person (Masue) told me that I need the following in order to buy the car cash.1. Cash fee around $750 plus2.inspection fee around $850 3. Dealer handling fee.I told him this is the first time I am hearing about cash fee. His explanation did not make sense and I asked him to speak a manager and he hang up the phone.I get a callback with the offer to reduce the price for $500, but I still needed to pay the fees listed above. I told him no, because this outrageous. I tried calling back and a co- worker picks up the phone and I asked to speak to a manager and that person told me that Masue was a manager which is no true based on my conversation with him.I am very made and frustrated with this experience

"Heaven missing an angel " as the lyrics goes. Well people we found that angel!!! Her name is Leidy Guzman. How often do you find beauty coincides with brains, professionalism, kindness, generosity and selflessness? Rarely or not at all. We (me and my wife) are from New York and blew the radiator in Jersey after sundown in a place we don't know. There we met our Guardian Angel who comforted us and even gave us a ride to the bus stop. Overall a regrettable experience. **Due to unknown reasons I've had to edit this Twice already..I have hard evidence proving my complaints thus this review has very important items missing**This is why trust in a company is hard to earnI asked repeatedly for an extra key because I was only given one from the sales person and NEVER GOT IT. No matter how many times I asked....it never came. Even to this day the sales person has not called to offer me one. The impression I got from the sales rep was one of sincerity but I was also let down.(really sad more than angry with the sales rep) Service department kept me for hours and even when I asked for my car they would not retrieve it until they were done even when I said I would sign off on the release of my car.(that's how desperate I was to get out).Angry more than sad at this one...I won't mention the car or quality because if I could go back and return the car I would do it in a heartbeat. Extremely disappointed with Toyota Universe I absolutely regret going there. I know I'm only one person... so this review may not mean much to people but i feel that my trust has been violated... these people were supposed to take care of me. If the experience were different it would have made me a customer for life... but now... I can not recommend them and would advise to stay clear of this dealer.Yes... I'm that upset. but as stated I'm a nobody...Ruben Ferreira(this way you know it's not some rival dealer... I WAS a real customer... who was robbed in every sense of the word) **edited once again **The episode with service was about my brakes the service manager said that they were being fixed... I honestly didn't think buying a car could be this easy until I went to Toyota Universe. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Roberto Cuevas. Throughout the whole buying process, Roberto was kind, patient and willing to answer even the smallest and silliest questions I had. What I appreciate most of all is that Roberto never tried to push me into something I didn't want. After spending a few hours with Roberto, I was set on purchasing from Toyota Universe. Roberto stayed in contact with me every step of the way and worked around my schedule. When I found the vehicle I liked and it came time to talk financing, I thought for sure my sub-par credit would force me to walk away from the amazing deal I was offered. I was wrong. Roberto and manager Giuseppe Pugliese worked very hard to get me a deal that was not only in my own name, but also extremely affordable. I sat down with Remy Braddock to sign my paperwork, and as per my previous experience, he was awesome. I honestly didn't think buying a car could be this easy until I went to Toyota Universe. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Roberto Cuevas. Throughout the whole buying process, Roberto was kind, patient and willing to answer even the smallest and silliest questions I had. We Test Drove the car. All was well. They allegedly ran our credit and all checked out. After 3 hours of discussion on a vehicle including terms etc, and shaking hands on a deal they come back to the desk and tell us that they ran the wrong persons credit and all of the a sudden the deal was off the table (This occurred while they were preparing the car and buying insurance). A few issues here. 1) How could they have made this mistake with a license and all paperwork in hand 2) How could they run someones credit who is not present and did not sign the disclosure 3) How do you shake hands on a deal after numerous times of going back to the finance desk (where you could have caught the discrepancy over the past 3 hours) Let me say that the sales people were good Sal did a great job and Guiseppe did great as well building good rapport, ETC. That does not however excuse the lack of professionalism that the above exemplified. Do not shop here. You run the risk of having your credit run in error for the next person looking to purchase a vehicle..... Buyer Beware!!!!

While negotiating on the price of a 2013 Rav4 there was a blunder/misunderstanding. However, not only did Toyota Universe step up to the plate and honor their original deal they surpassed my expectation by discounting an extended warranty and called several banks to reach the payment i felt most conformable. They made my first car buying experience amazing. Before I came here i went to several Toyota dealerships including Parkway Toyota and no one could ever match the deal i got here. If there is ever a reason to come back I wouldn't think twice and i would be sure to ask for Sal Gentile!

Mike is professional and extremely knowledgeable (I had one other car to test drive after I met with him, he told me in detail how that car would measure up to the car I was considering buying from him and he was spot on, the other car did not measure up). I had recently lost my job so this was not an easy spot for me to be in as I was intending to buy a car I had been leasing but now had to rethink due to budget constraints, I purchased a used 2012 Nissan Sentra, Mike worked with me to keep me within my budget with a car that fit my needs and expectations, from my past experience, many a car salesman may not have exhibited the same compassion and caring he did. I would recommend Mike and the staff at Toyota Universe and will definitely be using them for future car purchases.

The purchase went well but a number of things post purchase soured me on the place. Two things:1). If you are buying a used car, make sure they have the spare key before you sign the sales contract and commit or factor that into price negotiations. 2). If you are surrendering your temporary license there, please be sure to take away your plate or get a note indicating that you surrendered your plate there. There is a fake license plate scam connected with this place that earned me an ez-pass violation. Someone used the temporary license plate after I had surrendered it to this dealer and failed to pay ez-pass toll. The violation notice and the bill came to me. Unfortunately, I could not prove to ez-pass that I surrendered the plate to the dealer prior to the violation. All I could do was show that I had picked up the permanent plates because I signed them out. I would beware, if I were you.

My salesman was Guiseppe Pugliese who listened to what I wanted and that's exactly what I got. I called him several times before visiting the facility and he answered the phone in person EACH TIME. How refreshing is that! And when I came in to pick out my new car, he knew exactly what I wanted and did not try to sell me anything I did not want. I was in and out in 2 hours = and I even had popcorn ! I would recommend Guiseppe and Toyota Universe to everyone I know. What a pleasant and competent group Guiseppe has on his team. As soon as you enter this place they welcome you. Leidy Guzman was the sales rep who helped me and she was so far the best sales person I've had in years. Very patient, polite and knowledgeable. I recently had a recall on my toyota. I got serviced by Cindy and she did a really great job. She checked to see if there were any other recalls and when she found one, she got it done the same time. She was also able to arrange for something else to be fixed that wasn't part of the recall but since they were doing work anyways, she got them give me a big discount. She was also able to arrange that everything was done quickly and smoothly. I would definitely recommend her to a friend.

Too much wait time and doesn't know about their own cars. Sales man was not sure which car is on his inventory, wasted too much time figuring out where the car is. Without even looking at my toyota 2012 car, they priced it too low for exchange and on other hand kept telling me that new car is Toyota and will resell for more when I will later.The sienna is all plastic if you compare with chrysler town and country(300 pounds of more metal). Finally decided against buy the car.

From the moment that I walked into the dealship I was greated with a smile. Wildredo Vega offered us snacks, coffee, and a place for my children to be entertained. He walked us through the entire process and made sure that we left extremely safisfied with our puchase. Be careful when signing documents. They sneak in extras, put duplicate charges & difficult to get refund. Struggling to get refund for past 50 days. When documents are signed & if you find cost discrepancies, they treat the person as stranger & try not to give your money back. Sales guy doesn't want to help after his part is done. They give invalid reasons not to refund & say they added $500 to provide this feature. Don't take Toyota's financing. There are good financing options at cheaper interest rates like DCU, PenFed. Also toyota warranty is $2000. They mention it as 2500 & put 2000 in paper. Do your study well before you enter the dealership. Otherwise they will rip you off. Bargain to the lowest amount. Beware of finance guys who asks you to sign the documents. Read the fine print before signing. These are the lessons I learnt. I will never recommend this dealer ship to anyone. They don't have proper business ethics & values.

If anyone out there is thinking about buying second had or a new vehicle should definitely consider getting a Toyota. The best place to go should be at "Toyota universe" at Little Falls on route 46. It was my first experience dealing with a sales person and that person who I highly recommend is JOHN GWER (ask for him) this person was very helpful and patient with me. And really help me out with the car that I wanted.. I cannot really say anything but nice things about this sales person and the customer satisfaction I received at this place so if you're looking to get a Toyota and deal with the best salesman come here and again ask for JOHN GWER.......

The worst dealer ever i buy used car from them with extended warranty and i drive the car for 100 miles and i have flat tire check engine lights vdc off slip light i take my car to firestone to change the two rear tires and change exhaust for 900$ and firestone mechanic found power steering need to replace and rack& pinion and some mor problem will cost another 3000$ i drive the car for 100 miles only and the car price was 7000$ and i found that i have to spend 4000$ to fixe it the salesman told me that the car have one month warranty plus the extended warranty which i bay 2000 $ for it when i go back to the dealer they said they sell the car as it is they didn't fix any thing . The worst place ever the worst service . With my experience with this dealer i will never recommended for anyone. they sell junk cars

I had been visiting many dealerships and conducting research before settling on purchasing a 2015 Camry. Out of the 10 dealerships (including other brands) that I had visited or contacted, I immediately felt most comfortable at Toyota Universe. I ended up purchasing the car thru T.U. on 8/28/15 after working with LUTHER ST. ELIEN.My initial contact was with Jose Dominguez who discussed and Edmunds price guarantee and ensured that the car I was looking at was ready upon my arrival. The very courteous Mr. Dominguez made sure to introduce himself and thank us for the consideration of Toyota Universe. I was then set up with salesman Luther St. Elien. Luther was excellent from start to finish and through to this day following up and ensuring all has been taken care of. We laid out exactly what we were looking for and despite the online Edmunds car that I identified not being the exact model and color I wanted in the end, Luther worked to ensure that I was able to look at and consider other options. We felt very comfortable throughout the process, no added pressure, and Luther worked with us thoroughly to ensure we would leave happy customers. He succeeded and I can't thank him enough. The process with Luther was seamless and I will recommend him to friends and family. A+ service from him as well as from Jose Dominguez and the finance manager we worked with, Remy Braddock. All three gentlemen took ownership of the car sale & buying process and created a very satisfied customer who will consider Toyota Universe first with future car purchases.

I called to make an appointment for service. Since making that appointment, I received several calls from the dealership service dept. and they immediately hang up when the phone is answered. I can hear the background noise and know it is from that dealership area. When I called about the hang ups, I got Janell on the phone who was totally incapable. She started making facts up which made no sense. When I tried to get her to focus, she hung up on me. I called back and asked for the manager. Jimmy got on the phone, would not answer any questions, kept interrupting me, raised his voice and then hung up on me. TRUST ME - GO TO ANOTHER DEALER!

There has been a noxious odor in my car when the heat or the air is on since I purchased it in October 2014. I have had the car there numerous times, starting from the week that I purchased it. there is an underlying odor that comes from the air/heat ventilating system that you will not notice from just bringing it into the service dept and having them put the air on, when they are working in the garage and smelling all kinds of smells. You have to drive the car for a week or so, getting in and out to notice it. I had the car in for service two weeks ago and, again complained, about the 10th time. They must have sprayed something into the system, because for 2 days the odor was gone. The third day it was back. I get no satisfaction from the service department. They act like something is wrong with me. I am very dissatisfied and going to further proceed with this issue.

I brought a used 2010 Honda Fit with 47,111 miles on it on March 14, 2015 and I thought I had a good deal because of the car fax report Luther St. Elien gave me. The total cost of the car was 13,502.00. I put $2,000.00 down. Within 2 months the A.C stopped working completely and then the tires started losing air slowly. Come to find out 2 of the tires were plugged. I checked out the Kbb value and found out it was only worth $7,000-$8,000 which means I ended up paying $4,000-$5,000 more then what the car is actually worth. I don't think anyone should go here since they take advantage of people. I don't want no apology because the damage has been done and that will not get my money back.

This was my 2nd visit. My 1st being last year when I was looking for a used SUV. They allowed me an extended test drive, which was quite helpful, as I did not buy the vehicle. This time I was looking for new. Berkeley Chlopak was our sales consultant both times. She is lovely, non pushy, knowledgeable, and extremely patient. I did not buy a vehicle today because I was not happy with my trade in price offered. I would, however, recommend Berkeley to anyone who is looking to buy a Toyota.

This is the second Rav 4 that I've leased from Toyota Universe - the 2 reasons are the Rav 4 is an amazing vehicle and Ali is an amazingly perfect salesperson. I feel confident that Ali always answers my questions truthfully and always gives me time to decide without pushing for a decision. Also Ali will not steer you into anything that does not make financial sense. I wholeheartedly recommend if you are looking to buy or lease a Toyota that you visit Ali. Initially, I gave a good review on purchasing a used 2009 Toyota Camry for my god daughter, who lives in FL.This was my second stop, looking for a car. It did feel high pressured though. They want to sell you a car, without you leaving to look elsewhere.I pointed out that the car I was looking at, needed two new tires in the front, and since there were no mats in the car, that new mats were also needed. The salesman said he would pay for them from his own pocket.When it came time to negotiate a price, the salesman mentioned additional expenses to be added, which I balked at. Then, his manager, spoke to me and tried to explain some additional charges, which I did not care about.The salesman took the car to the shop onsite and it was on a lift, the hood up, and boxes of parts by the car to prepare it for delivery. It was getting a full inspection. I was impressed.He delivered the car to my house and I remarked that the tires on the front look niceThe car was later shipped to FL. and my god daughter's dad said the tires in the rear need to be replaced because they are badly worn. He bought two new tires for $343.00 in mid July, 2015.The salesman claimed that he did not know the tires were rotated, rather than replacing the front tires with new tires. He mentioned that he never said he would replace the front tires with new ones, only "newer" tires.To this date, over two months, a refund check for the tires have not been issued to us.I personally made two trips to inquire about the reimbursement from a few people that were taking care of it. The last person said the paperwork was sent to corporate and should take about two weeks. That was a month ago, and all the people that were taking care of it have done nothing to follow-up on it. We have heard NOTHING!Why can't the dealer cut a check? If the salesman said he was paying for it, why didn't the money go directly to us?.There was a damaged inside door panel which cannot be seen. My friend in FL. only noticed it when leaning against the inside door panel, when It gave. We showed it to the dealer, but they would fix it, for about $600.00.I think it would be the right thing to tell a customer what is wrong with the car, if it is something not noticeable.Would any reasonable person buy, or recommend the dealer, if after you bought a car, and found unseen damage? I know: Buyer beware.When I sold my used 1993 Lexus SC400 , I told the buyer everything that was wrong with the car. It is called honesty.Guess I will have to pay another visit soon to the dealer and find out why my friend in FL. still has not been reimbursed for the new tires he purchased.Lastly, be prepared to know what the car you are planning to buy is worth to avoid expenses that the dealer believes should be added on. Dealer may be justified though. Do your research. I did not.I learned that it was not a bad deal. The experience was.JayP.S. When the salesperson asked me to write a review, he insisted that it has to be 5 star. He may have been entitled to it. So, be careful putting all your faith in reviews. take them with a grain of salt.

I went to Toyota Universe on 6/11/15 with the intent of purchasing a certified used car. I was accompanied by a family member who had more experience with the process. The receptionist was very nice. The dealearship provides water, coffee or popcorn if you heart desired it. However, what made the difference and will bring me back to this dealership was the salesman Mike Garcia. Mike was not the typical salesman. Most salesman tend not to try to truly understand where their clients were coming from. Mike was the total opposite, he took the time to know us and see what we wanted and tried to make it happen. He was professional, and very patient. He listened to all our demands and tried to find a common ground where as customers we did not feel as if we were being taken advantaged of. He obliged when we wanted to compare their pricing to other sources. And we were getting ready just forgo the whole process, he found a way to appease the various conflicts of interest in a professional manner. He even helped deal an out-of-state concern at it. I would definitely recommend Toyota Universe to a friend or any customer because of the Mike. But like I said, if you are going there: Ask for Mike Garcia and tell him Georgia P. sent you. You'll be treated with the decency and respect that you deserve as a customer. He was a stand up salesman and and as customer, thats a key element to having a good experience that ends with the end result you were looking for.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I was not thrilled the finance guy. The guy had such a heavy accent, I couldn't understand him.

Mr. Vazquez was a complete professional. He was very patient and answer most of my questions and those he couldn't answer immediately, he got back to me shortly with an answer. He helped me through the loan process, gave me directions on what I had to provide since I was purchasing the car under some special (I am located Florida) situation. My friend who was doing the transaction for me with Mr. Vasquez is very hard of hearing and Mr. Vasquez was very patient and thoughtful in dealing with him. I would recommend doing business with Mr. Vazquez and I am positive my friend would agree as well.

I had a 2012 Camry, hybrid XLE and I loved it. I came to Toyota Universe looking for a similar 2015 Camry, hybrid, XLE with all of the new safety features and light exterior color. Hesham Ali, my salesman, was most helpful. He showed me that the features I wanted were in the AT (Advanced Technology) package. He also almost immediately provided me with leasing information and the value of my trade-in. Unfortunately, all of the available cars were in black or dark gray. He was always available to give me progress reports and guide me to possible alternatives. He was the most caring and helpful car salesman that I have ever dealt with!

I have a great experience solving a recall from ToyotaToyota Universe and especially the service team for the great job done in my Tacoma regarding the 2 safety recalls opened for it.I received my pickup truck 2 weeks ago and I am still amazed about the numerous new parts that have been changed in order to keep the rust far from it as the result of the replacement of the frame and rear leave springs as the main reasons for the recall.I am very happy that I chose Toyota not only for the power and performance of the truck but the extra mile that the manufacturer and the dealer take to keep a safe and reliable vehicle.It was a very valuable wait since the first inspection back in October 2014 to this point when I know my truck will last even longer.I want to extend a special thanks to Mr. Javier Martinez at the service desk. Bought a 2015 RAV4 a few days ago, and want to share the great customer experience we recieved at this dealeship from your salesperson Hesham. Even though we did our research and had an idea what we were looking for he never came across as a pushy sales person but rather his ability to listen to what we were interested in and asking the right questions. He immediately discovered that we wanted an AWD RAV4. This dealership had a 2011 Honda Civic advertised on AutoTrader for a low price, so I called the dealership to see if the car was still available. I spoke with a salesman named Jose D, who confirmed the car was available, and said he would have it out front for when we got to the dealership. We arrived at the dealership and asked for Jose. We were instead passed off to another salesman, Michael G, who took us to his desk and gathered all of our information. He then took us outside to show us the car, and on the way he said he had a bit of bad news, that the car was damaged the day before, and explained that that's why the car was listed at such a low price. The drivers side front fender on the car was severely damaged. Michael also explained that there was a customer inside in the process of buying the car. I told him that the AutoTrader ad did NOT mention damage to the vehicle, and the pictures they had posted showed an undamaged vehicle. I asked why I wasn't told all of this on the phone, and Michael did not have an answer other than 'Sorry' . When I complained to the sales manager about all that had transpired, all I got was the same 'Sorry'.

Awesome service. Went for a test drive. My seller Wilfredo Vega was very professional and custormer friendly the whole time and treated me like family, and guided me all the way to my first car. I had been out all day test driving 2 vehicles and decided to make Toyota Universe my last stop on a Saturday and had decent experiences at most of the dealers. It was Berkeley Chlopaks turn to get me and her friendliness and professionalism was there from the beginning. She showed me the vehicle I was interested in and had me out test driving within a few minutes after taking the needed information. I left that day still undecided what I wanted to purchase but she gave me such a pleasant experience that I told her if the Camry was what I was to buy she would more than likely get my business. She was great and understood my position an followed up on Monday and after going back to test drive the other vehicle I called her and I went back on Monday and bought the vehicle at what I considered an excellent price but more importantly a great purchasing experience. Came in looking at a used minivan to only be told that I could not test drive because another employee has taken the keys home with him. Then was told he was coming in at noon to come back then. I came back to be told that this employee is never to work on time and they will call when he comes in. The rest of the day we were continuously told he was on his way so we didn't go else where to look for a vehicle. He never showed up for work and don't even think this other employee was a real person. They just didn't want to sell this vehicle base they would constantly tell me they could finance us and get us in a new car. So the next day they finally got the keys and when I went to go back and test drive it they said it is broken and they can't sell it to me. They said they have to offer me something similar for the same price since they weren't able to sell us the broken minivan that had listed on their site. So they dropped the price of another minivan but when I went to test drive that one I was told that one was also broke and cannot be sold. Then u asked what was not broke that they could sell me and they said nothing for that price, even though I was told they had to sell me something similar for that price. So then they said they could get us approved for a loan and into something new. We were not looking to add another bill to our life that is why we went there with cash in hand only to get lied to and lost our business.

Ok, I filled out on line an inquiry about the 2011 black camry. I immediately received an email from the internet manager. I ask questions about the car, how many miles, was the price neg., can I get a carfax. The basis questions, I told the internet manager that I will be travelling about 35 miles to see the car, so please have it ready and if she had any questions please ask prior to me travelling that distant. The maintenance manager called and asked what time I was going to be at the facility because he wanted to have the car ready and detailed for me. I get to Toyota Universe an the internet manager that I had been communicating with was not there. I was immediately approached by a sales manager, who took me to his computer and said it was down. However, I had the print of the car, stock number, vin #, etc. he said he will pull the vehicle around the front. I wanted for 30 minutes he came back and said please walk with me to see the vehicle. I walked outside in the back and the car was in an accident!!! The front of the was smashed all the way up to the window. I was so annoyed because the internet manager should have shared this with before I drove 35 miles in rush hour traffic to see this damaged car. The sales manager immediately tried to sell me a brand new car when I specifically told them exactly what I wanted!!!! I walked out very upset and disappointed for driving 35 miles in rush hour traffic to see a damaged vehicle. My time is too valuable to be wasting time...................

I came in with my husband and my three knuckle head kids. Met with a salesman by the name of Luther St.Elien. My kids are fairly young but loud and playful but while we were working out our deal. Luther seemed to multi task taking care of me and my husband with answering all of our questions.But he also offered my kids warm chocolate milk and popcorn to keep them tamed and when that time span was done he pulled out some games on his tablet to keep them busy. After stopping at Honda where they yelled at me to keep my kids in check. He was courteous to the entire family. If every business did that would b awesome.I love this dealership Luther Stelien was awesome he answered all of my questions. And was so accommodating to me and the rest of my family from start to finish. Thank you I will definitely b back to see him at the end of my lease!

This is by far the worst dealer that I have ever made business with. I was sold a used car that turned out to be in the service center more than it was at my own home. Everyone there are scam artists and don't give a xxxx about anything but putting money in their own pockets. They will let you drive off the lot in an unsafe car without a care in the world. Then I asked every single person in that dealer even the managers for the contact info of the owner to this dealership and mysteriously no one knew it or it couldn't be found. I don't know how this place is still even open. It was an all around horrible experience and if Toyota Universe was the last dealer left on earth, I would rather get blisters on my feet from walking than ever purchasing a car from you guys ever again.

After looking on the toyota website I found a certifitied Highlander listed at Toyota Universe. Tia Davis there internet person made me an appointment with Filip Antoun to test the Highlander.When I got there I sat at Filip.s desk for 45 minutes while he tried to location the vehicle for me. He tried to explain to me then it may have been moved to one of their other lots because of the snow we had a few days earlier. I said OK and to give me a call when he could locatio the SUV. He then tried to get me to look at some other vehicles that they had in stock. I told him I was not interested in that and would wait for his call. I then asked me if I could wait a few more minutes and meet with his boss. The used car manager, who's name I can't recall told me the Highlander was in the sevice department and I would be the first person to see and test drive the vehicle on Friday., so I made another appointment for Friday at 3 PM. After being called and reminded by the dealership 5 or 6 times that I had an appointment , Filip called me and told me tat the Highlander I wanted was no longer available. When I first got home later that day I received phone calls from the dealer asking why I didn't make the appointment. LOL. Today, Saturday I get a phine call from another manager at the dealership and told me that" MY" Highlander was sold to someone else who was willing to pay more then the internet price. Then they had the nerve to have another salesperson call and ask me if I wanted to look at something else. The Highlander that I was interested in was most likely sold long before I first inquired about it or was sold out from under me. Either way that is no way to operate and treat your customers.

It was December 24, a day that my husband and I could go last minute Christmas shopping together since both of us were off and there were no kids activities. We had thought about buying a Toyota Sienna to replace our somewhat aging minivan for a few months so had planned to go car shopping. I made an appointment before we went. A smiling Mr. Michael (Mike) Garcia at Toyota Universe was introduced to us after we arrived (later than our appointment since it was pouring) and then three of us started experiencing the car buying/selling experience together for the next few hours. My husband and I already discussed what we would like to have at home, so Mike informed us the manufacture incentives and financing options and answered various questions we had for him. Mike was knowledgeable and professional; he was also courteous and friendly, so I enjoyed the conversation and interaction and did not feel too much stress. Although my husband and I originally planned to visit at least two other dealers with the limited hours we had that day, Mike was able to convince us to eventually to buy a car from Toyota Universe that day. Overall, it is a very pleasant experience. A few factors contributed to this successful car purchase experience: 1) self education through reading information on the internet (including finding dealers with good reviews, such as Toyota Universe), so we went as educated customers, 2) An earlier visit to another dealer (also receiving a very nice service) helped us to reconsider some factors, so we became more prepared, and 3) Mike and the facility he represents gave us confidence that they were interested in satisfying customers interests while also making profits for themselves. It was the day before Christmas with pouring rain, but the positive energy and spirit from the special holiday triumphed. On the way home, I drove my old minivan following my husband who drove the new family addition and took advantage of the opportunity of appreciating our new car from its behind. This was a pleasant car buying experience.

Twice now that i have brought my wife 2008 toyota highlander to get fix and had to wait unreasonable hours. First, we had a brake job and oil change which took over 7 hours. And I had to wait second, we had an oil change on nov 28th, 2014 and I had to wait for 4 hours plus. third, twice we taken our car for service. and a day or two later we find a damage on the car. I would not recommend this dealer to a friend for services

I was excited about TU as I read many great reviews. I scheduled an appointment to look at a used car with George. When I got there, he said someone has come in a few minutes before my appointment to look at the same car. But...I could still test drive the car and wait in a corner to see if the other buyer decided to buy the car or not that I was scheduled to see! WOW! Thanks! Or I could look at another vehicle in a color that I do not like. When I said I was leaving, they said, "Give me 5 minutes and I'll find out if they want it." After waiting for over 10 minutes, I left. I will never go back to this place. They could have called me to see if I was coming to give me first dibs, they could have showed them the other color, etc. I know its first come first serve but I did have an appointment to see the car and I drove there in bad weather. Disappointment. PS Button your shirt George.

I was initially impressed with the reviews so I decided to purchase a car through Toyota Universe. I purchased a 2010 certified pre owned CAMRY in April 2014, and already I have received reimbursement for a battery, an it has been serviced on 3 separate occasions and it's only October. The actual purchase went smoothly, Jed the salesman seemed to be somewhat knowledgeable and as far as trying to rectify the situation, the repairs have been made without cost... Sales Manager Eddie Cortes has been excellent with assisting with the process and compensating me for my inconveniences... TOYOTA Universe will go above and beyond... My suggestion make sure you bring your own mechanic. All that glitters ain't gold... What looks good isn't always good.. I just hope TOYOTA Universe will continue the service it has given thus far, because I have to bring my car in again for service

I put in a request for pricing on a 2015 Toyota RAV4. I received an email back with a price quote of $23,030 with an "*" stating does not include fees. I requested clarification on what those fees were I received a response that the fees were $1,101 (Not including the state tax). And that the priice of the car without the fees went up to $26,600 + fees.I requested additional clarification several times on why the price had changed so drastically and never got a response. So in the end their pricing is just a come on and it goes up signicicantly with the fees and add ons.

I was dealing with Mr George Chiquito on line but only saw him for a minute in the dealership , and I was lead to Mr Fernando Castro, Mr Castro was very helpful and and very patient with my inquiries and showed me some selections of cars in was interested in and let me test drive several cars. Mr Mike Garcia also help in explaining the rundown of the price and the financing details. Not sure of his name but the manager Warren also got the time in talking To me about my brand new 2015 car . The finance officer which name I can't remember was patient enough explaining the every details and numbers on papers I was dealing with . Overall I am very happy and statisfied with everyone..This is my third Toyota car . Also Mr Castro delivered my new car in my drive way .. Thanks everyone ..highly recommended.... I recently purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla from Toyota Universe and the service that I had was phenomenal. David Mosio was my salesperson and was AMAZING during the whole buying process. Since this was my first car purchase and I am relatively young, I was worried about pushy salesmen and being swindled. David was extremely professional, personable and never pressured me once! David kept in contact with me throughout the process and went to great lengths to ensure that my purchase went through without issue. The entire staff is warm and friendly and do a great job of keeping staying in touch even a couple of months after the sale has been completed. I've never owned a Toyota (or any car for that matter) before this but this experience will almost certainly make me a future Toyota Universe customer.

As soon as i walked in i was kindly greeted by my salesman Giuseppe Pugliese and was kindly offered coffee and popcorn which was actually great considering i spent all day shopping around. After only about 10 mins of speaking with Giuseppe i had confidence that i would get the accurate information about my finance and leasing options. I made a deal with TU and wrote a contract promising me that they will get the loan approved Though I have no credit score, keeping trust on them I Rejected my approved check from dcu and I drove a car happily out, the next day onwards the problem starts and keep on asking me several docs finally one day they called me and asked me to drop the car and leave, I left like a crazy I planned for a long week end trip with my family they spoiled my trip and trust , I requested them give me 2 days to get u the check but no one has listen up my urge what a customer service, then I dropped the car. When I ask for my refund they said I will be back to it card. Again for my refund I had to wait 4 days and many follow ups . In this whole loan game they screwd up my credit history so badly and I got lot of credit inquiries. After this I got a new deal from fitzmall.com for a better deal now the trade is fare and hassle free from fitzmall Toyota. So after my overall tragedy story plz I request don't try to trade with these unfare Toyota universe dealer

Not only was that false, when I called him and told him of the best price I had so far on a Prius 4, he said he would call me right back...glad I wasn't holding my breath, he never called back. So much for honesty or integrity. So I will be buying the car from Toyota in Ledgewood, who DID give me the best price. Mr. Khan, you should be ashamed of yourself for a false representation via email, and for being too gutless to even call me back and admit it.

Our experience at Toyota Universe was nothing short of perfection. David Mosio was our salesman. His patience, his knowledge and his sincerity came through loud and clear. My husband I were really only "exploring" the idea of trading in our car and getting a new one when we first entered the dealership. Just bought a new 2014 Toyota Rav4, Mr.Hisham Ali was more than helpful throughout the whole process and made my first time car buying a very pleasant experience. My husband and I visited this dealership for the first time and was approached by George Roebuck. We explained what price range we could handle and indicated that the car was to be for a college student who would be making 3 hour trips each way when coming and going to school. We test drove 4 or 5 cars . His shared that he had past experience as a mechanic. We asked a lot of questions and George answered them confidently and if he did not have the answer he searched out the answer. He never rushed us or became restless even though he had no indication that we liked or didn't like any of the vehicles. George did such a good job that we actually were torn between 2 vehicles and decided to stretch the budget and negotiate for both (as we currently have 2 cars and 4 drivers). George unfortunately was not a part of the negotiations and we ever came to a meeting of the minds where the price should be. We even negotiated for just one of the vehicles that had a Kelly Blue Book DEALER range of $5578- $6395 using the VERY GOOD CONDITION category even though we have no idea what costs we may incur after driving off the lot with NO warranties included. We finally agreed upon $6800 which was to include everything but our taxes and registration understanding that taxes and registration are required by law. Although it was $400 over even the highest KBB value we agreed but at the last minute when the paperwork was to be signed we saw an additional $395 and $198 in what we consider additional overcharge fees being added in although $6800 was the agreed final number. $400 over KBB highest value we could deal with but not $1000. The gentleman that was doing the negotiations never disclosed these fees and would not adjust the numbers to reflect the $6800 we had agreed to, so we left without any car purchase. George Roebuck did a wonderful job as a salesman as we were interested in not only one but two vehicles and for that reason I feel compelled to write him very positive review. Mr. Roebuck is an outstanding asset to this organization. Please note, I could not submit this review without answering whether I would recommend this dealership or not. I had planned to not indicate. I answered yes but be an educated buyer when negotiating and read before you sign!

I'm not never coming here again for service. This was my first time and it also my last. I made appointment for 10:00 for brake service and oil change. I drop off my car. At 9:48am and they gave me a promise time of 12:30pm, I didn't get my car back until 2:30pm, and I been told that I have some where to be at 2:00pm, and if its going to be longer, let me know now so I can reschedule. The guy assured me that it wasn't going to take long. Never again

I came into Toyota Universe looking for a used car, and had been for about a month and a half and went to several dealerships. I already knew what I wanted and had the pleasure of dealing with a new sales agent Berkeley Chlopak. I explained to her that I was looking for a used toyota or car with one owner, low mileage, low payment, and no accidents. She took myself, my son, and my daughter in law around showing us a few cars which then we narrowed it down to one after about 2 hours of time. We test drove the one car, and then were still a little high after talking numbers on the one car (a 09 Corolla). Then we transitioned to 2010 corolla and were able to work the numbers to my liking with a little more money down. Berkeley and her managers Felipe and Marlon were so helpful with this experience because I had so many negative experiences in the prior months search. They spent about five hours with me getting everything to my wants and needs exactly where I wanted to be, and suprisingly for her second deal ever as a car saleswomen. She was truly exceptional.

I went to this dealership to lease a new RAV 4 Limited. The salesman was very nice and friendly, however he was not very knowledgeable about the car. I had done a lot of research on the vehicle so I knew some of the information he was giving me was incorrect or he was unsure of. I came to a lease deal with one of the managers and he gave me a photocopy of the numbers we agreed upon with the taxes and fees included. I told them I would be back the following morning to pick up the car and complete the paperwork. They made an appointment for me to come in and even called to confirm that appointment later that evening. When I arrived the next morning, I told the salesman I was going to put down more money then I had offered the night before; so I expected the monthly payment to go down a few dollars. When the salesman brought out the paperwork and the entire deal was different. The monthly payment price had gone up $30, even with the extra money I was putting down. They refused to honor the deal we had made the night before, despite the photocopy of the numbers I had. They then tried to tell me that taxes and fees were not included in the old price but I had specifically asked if they were and the manager had said yes. The salesman and my friend had witnessed him saying that. They would not have a manager come out and talk with me so I left the dealership. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. They have poor business practices and are extremely dishonest.

I went into this dealership to lease a RAV4. I came to a very fair lease agreement with the manager on duty and made an appointment to complete the deal and pick up the car the following morning. When I arrived the next day, all of the numbers on the lease paperwork had changed and they would not honor the deal that was made the night before. I have a photocopy of the agreed upon lease numbers, even told them I was going to put more money down, and they still would not honor the deal. I left the dealership and leased the car for a similar price from another dealership. I am am extremely disappointed in their management team and felt they were very dishonest. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

An awful experience. My family and I are loyal customers having bought 5 previous cars from there. I first went about a month ago to test drive. I told them from the start I was just test driving with the intention to buy after the winter storms were over. Were very slow in everything they did. One person told me that lease prices were non-negotiable and another said we could negotiate when I came back. Received a phone call and text every single day for the next month. Made an appointment to come back to lease and asked if they had the car I was looking for. I was told directly, "We would not bring you in if we did not have the car." Went for my appointment, waited for a half hour and they did not have the car I wanted in any of the three colors I requested. The salesmen and the finance guy both tried to sell me a different car. People do not deserved to be lied to and jerked around like I was there. I left and went straight to Caldwell Toyota where they were excellent. I will never go back to Toyota Universe again.

My lease expiring, I went in to look at some options but the one I really liked was more than I can afford. They were pretty good at trying to get the price down but it was still more than I wanted to pay and more features than i wanted to give up. I'm glad that I was dealing with Berkeley because she pointed out that the Highlander they had was the color I wanted and I wasn't really losing out on the features I wanted (except it was a little smaller in the back). Anyway, everything worked out because I got the price I wanted, since I didn't want to be paying more than I already was and I feel like I actually got a good deal. I wanted to give Berkeley a good review because she asked and I feel she deserves it so ask for her if youre not sure who is good or not.

I'm writing this review because the salesperson I worked with was patient and helped me study a few different options and answered all of my questions without being too pushy which really surprised me. I recently went down to Toyota Universe to do some research and spoke to Berkeley who said she is one of the newer employees. She still was able to help answer all of my questions and seems to be very knowledgeable of the cars. I'm waiting until I get my tax refund before I seriously make a consideration. Even though I wasn't going to buy the car right away, Berkeley still showed me several models and didn't pressure me into buying anything. I can't stand when the salespeople act like a broken record and don't listen. This is a lot of money i'm spending! I'm not just going to open my wallet right away! Anyway, I think Berkeley deserves to get the sale for her effort, so when I go back, I'll ask for her. Great service! I'll update this after I get my refund and make my decision.

I called Toyota Universe after seeing a Sienna in User Cars search in AutoTrader, it had excellent features, very low miles but was a bit over my budget. Cristina attended my call, she was very nice and honest to answer all my questions. I told her that I work late and stay almost 60 miles south, on my request she was very kind to give me an appointment late evening 8.30pm. On reaching there, she was very courteous to attend us, my kids loved the fresh popcorns she offered, we felt very comfortable. She fixed us to Alain for the sale assistance, Alain and his manager Eddie Cortes were very patient to understand my budget constrains, after seeing a few spots of paint coming out on the rear bumper, we were bit skeptical. Eddie not only offered the full bumper replacement at no extra cost to us, he also allowed us to drive the vehicle to home on their insurance, keep it for a day to show it to our mechanic, finally they gave us a very good deal on vehicle as well on warranty. The height of service was, when the bumper was fixed a week later and we were to pick, as the dealership is 60 miles away and I didn't had my rental car, Alain dropped the vehicle to my home, thank you so much Alain and Eddie. above expectations buying experience, we are very pleased with the service, would anytime recommend to any my friends, relatives.

I appreciate a young man like Adrian who made the path for My boyfriend and I in getting the RAV4 Toyota that I am driving now hassle free. Guiseppe the salesman was very accommodating and knowledgeable. After we purchased the new Highlander, Guiseppe took his time to explain the different features the truck had and he even helped us set up the Bluetooth!

Never will go or reccomend anyone to go here .When you buy a car for the 1st time it should be a Great Experience. Went to this place in Sept was approved and left with a 2014 Venza 3 weeks went by and I was called to say the bank needed a cosigner so I provided them one the same day. I called 2 weeks later to follow up on my plates and come to find the sales rep that assisted me NO longer work there.. Hmm wonder WHY!! Spoke to the manager Felipe and he said he will find out the status with financing. A week went by no call so I called them again and come to find out that the bank they were trying didnt approve me nor the cosigner. REALLY!! And NO one calls to say anything so I asked them to return my vehicle and they can have their car back as I do not have the time for this non sense they said,..o.. Come in and we got you approved so I go and yea they got me approved only to lease. SMH!! . We are Now in November and now Im approved only because for 1 they messed up BIG Time so now Im only approved to lease with their own company cause they had no choice I MUST say all these people worry about is to make a sale and commission. I will NEVER go here or recommend any one and if you do go make sure you have it in black & white that you are approved before taking a vehicle. My Experience caused me to report this to Better Business.

Adrian Martinez helped me find the right car to fit the needs of my family. He got me out of a really bad loan with super high interest and worked out a deal that was just right for me. I highly recommend him if you are in search of a new car! The staff was super friendly, and the service department is always on top of sending service reminders. I especially like the service coupons they send out for your birthdays! I had my car detailed as part of the birthday deal and got it back looking brand spanking new!

When the sales person asked to give him the keys so they can evaluate the '09 RAV4, which was the beginning of the lies. They never evaluated the car & gave us a trade in value much lower than what we asked. We walked out at that time. We were called back and at that time gave $1,000 down to secure a car that they had in another sister dealership (Galaxy Toyota) in Eatontown, NJ. When we were going to accept the car we were told that the car had been sold. Then another car they claimed was the same was brought to us. We tried to negotiate but we again told many lies. We finally accepted the car. Whenever we call the dealership, we would never get called back except for Alex (one of the sales mgrs.). We were not pleased with the whole experience and would not recommend this place to our worst enemy.

Bought a Sienna and was overcharged with bogus fees, the salesman, Armond, told me there were "Preparation Fee" and "Certification Fee". I did not know these were false pretense to increase their profit until I found out on the web. I am new to buying cars so fell for their trap. Numerous calls did not yield any result to have those bogus fees refunded. Stay way from Toyota Universe in Little Falls!

I would like to comment on my recent service at toyota universe. i have been a loyal customer to dealership for many years. I will no longer go to the place to service my vehicle. I went in for a oil change and had a coupon from east coast toyota, when making appointment i asked if they accepted other dealer coupons.They said yes, so i set up an appointment. When i gave the service attendant the coupon, he said he could not except the coupon. I asked to speak to the manager. The service manager Jeff came and spoke with me and said he could not honor the coupon. I was VERY UPSET!!!!!!!! I took my business else where. I went to east coast toyota to have my oil change done. I am looking to purchase a new toyota for my wife and i wanted to purchase at Toyota universe. i will no longer do that......thanks Mr Jeff

This service visit was excellent. Had a concern with my entune and brakes. Asked to speak to a manager and I was then greeted by Paulo Amaral. He went on a ride with me to review my concern with the brakes and also help me setup and fix my issue with entune. He is a great asset to the company. I have dealt with previous service managers and they were horrible. He was great I will be recommending my friends and colleagues to come and have their vehicles serviced at Toyota universe. Just bought a car from Leo yesterday 7/4 and i had actually spent about 3 hours before at the Dealership next door Mitsubishi, let me start by saying that Mitsubishi was the worst so stingy, so extremely unprofessional it was ridiculous. I hadn't intended to stop at toyota but being that it was next door I decided to take a look. As soon as you walk it its a big diff the professionalism was such a difference and they were so patient and willing to work with us. No pressure what so even and we got the monthly down payment was very reasonable. I deff recommend this place and specially Leo.

The way in which the situation was first handled was so unprofessional and quite mean spirited, not due in anyway to Mr. Carattini, was a shock, and I quite honestly did not want my car any longer, that was until Mr. Carattini stepped in and took charge. What he did was consider all aspects of the situation and proceeded in a professional, yet sympathetic manner. Mr. Carattini though outside the box, took into consideration all points and saved an otherwise ugly outcome. In my opinion, he exceeded his supervisor by leaps and bounds. I have a bad back and was very concerned that a short test drive wouldn't allay my concerns about the comfort of the driver seat in the car I wanted. I asked Mr Castillo if I could possibly test drive the car for a few days if I paid a rental fee. Not only did the dealership give me a car for 4 days, they didn't even charge me, which I thought was going above and beyond. Thank you, Toyota Universe.

I had an excellent time, and thoroughly enjoy the Prius C. I would heartily recommend this dealer to anyone!

I knew I had a few vehicles to look at so I came in the doors guarded letting them know right off the bat that I was not buying today. Danielle was my salesperson and she was very conciderarte of the fact that I was shopping. She was patient, andswered all of my questions and made me feel at home. I am still in the process of checking out other brands, but I must say, the customer service I received at Toyota Universe from Danielle may be the reason I come back and buy a Toyota.
