I went to test drive a 2001 Lexus with low miles on it. The vehicle looked well maintained, however I wanted to get it checked out by a mechanic just in case. I found out that the whole bottom of the car had an insane about of rust on it and it some metal piping had been welded together. It’s sketchy that the guy from twin cities motors didn’t tell me that he had worked on the bottom of the car and left a gnarly looking pipe. There was also a leak that he attempted to fix with a used gasket tray, however it was still leaking. On the way back to twin cities motors I went to the gas station to put $5 in the tank, since I used gas to drive to the mechanic. Well I was there I got stranded. The battery died and I had to call the guy from this “dealership” to come jump the car. I asked if the battery has died before and he told me it had. I don’t understand why he wasn’t honest with me about everything that was going on with the car upfront. He told me that he would replace the battery for me when we got back to his warehouse, but I decided I wasn’t interested in the car. I don’t understand why honesty was so hard for him when talking about the vehicle. He only mentioned things after I said my mechanic had seen them, however before I said anything he told me the car was in perfect condition. Also, this so called “dealership” isn’t really a dealership, just a warehouse in Plymouth where he fixes up cars and sells them. My mom has also dealt with them in the past and didn’t have a good experience with them, but I didn’t listen to her since it seems legit at the time. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a vehicle from Twin Cities Motors. I don’t remember the man that helped me, but he had brown hair and a good size beard. The people here aren’t honest or trustworthy, which is important when spending thousands of your hard earned money. If you get a car from these people I guarantee you that they’re not telling you something about it and it will break within the first 10,000 miles
