On November 19th we brought our 2013 Subaru Outback Limited in for its oil change and low and behold we left with a 2017 Subaru Outback Limited! This is our 3rd Subaru from our friends at Valley Subaru and we could not be happier with the purchase or the experience. Did we feel pressured to buy a new car yesterday? Absolutely not! Our long-term salesperson, Patrick Hecht, was kind enough to answer some general questions about different styles of Subaru vehicles and one thing lead to another and out the door we went with another awesome Subaru product. The entire experience at Valley Subaru was positive. The entire staff from sales to service are always pleasant and willing to help in any way possible. There are Subaru dealers closer to our home but we would never use them based on previous interactions. Valley Subaru and especially Patrick have our business for the foreseeable future. If you are interested in a Subaru check Valley out and you will not be disappointed!

In the case of Valley Subaru I would say you have gathered a group of excellent people who are very excited about the product they are selling and that transfers to the client. A few words about Frank Smith: This is the third time we have done business with Frank. He has always been courteous, helpful and fair. He explained many of the new features of our car and is always available to talk with us by phone. It is a pleasure doing business with Frank. He obviously loves his work and helping people find exactly what they want.

No way was I expecting to drive away in a brand new car the same night I walked into Valley Subaru. Patrick did an awesome job in listening to my wants and needs for my next car. I've been searching for a particular 2017 Subaru Outback for about a month. Over that month I've dealt with seven dealers throughout Virginia and Valley Subaru was one of the best.When I sat down to negotiate prices, I simply asked for their lowest price possible. Their offer was generous and fair. It was refreshing not haggling, they simply wanted to sell me the car I wanted. They even managed to beat all the other dealers by a fair amount.Patrick, my salesman, was gracious, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about Subaru products. He even took the time to explain all the bells and whistles on my Subaru before I choose to buy.Helen, internet sales and financing, was also extremely helpful. She followed up every email question I had. She was warm, humorous, and made the dull and drab task of discussing financing, loans, and credit scores more like a friendly conversation rather than the usual mind nibbling experiences I've had in the past.I would highly recommend Valley Subaru for a pleasantly surprising new car buying experience.

So I stopped by, and she introduced me to Caroluce d'Orvilliers-Seal for one of the most genuine, hilarious, and enjoyable afternoons I could've hoped to spend at a car dealership. Even after a few test drives and some great conversation, I was not expecting them to be able to come close to the number I had in mind. I went in looking for a certain color and price and within an hour they were able to meet a price AND they found my perfect car. Valley Subaru proved to us that buying a vehicle can actually be a no pressure and easy experience after all. Having been over 13 years since our last purchase, we had visited a number of other dealerships closer to home in search of a make and model that would fit our needs for a SUV in hindsight we now know we should have just made the nearly 100 mile drive and started with Valley Subaru. Our old Subaru Outback lasted 12 years through two toddlers, a puppy, several hurricanes, rough mountain roads, salt and sand and the Great Recession. By the time we rolled in to My Valley Subaru the old car had over 135 miles on it. With the new Subaru Outbacks sporting so much advanced technology, I was worried I'd have trouble driving one. We knew what we wanted before we arrived at the dealership and there were cars on the lot that met/exceeded our requirements. My wife and I had coordinated w/ Jessica for a couple days and she connected us w/ Chris Stein on arrival.Chris Stein was expecting us and we went for a test drive, both my wife and I drove the 2014 Outback Limited, and liked it very much. Chris had our 2007 Outback appraised while we were test driving and shortly upon our return he had a price sheet worked up. My wife and I thought our '07 was worth more and we told him of an interested party that may buy it from us instead of trading so Chris went back to his boss to see what he could do to adjust. I told him what my offer was for the '14 model and he managed to get within $100 of my offer after renegotiating the trade in value. We agreed on the price and Kevin immediately began the paperwork for closing the deal as my wife and I had another appointment in Albemarle Co later that afternoon. Kevin offered a better finance rate than I could have gotton from my credit union so we went with that on a 36 month loan. We were out of the finance office in record time and headed back over the mountain with our nice car. We will return soon to have the Commodore treatment applied to the body and interior and Chris as assured us that we will have a second car key in short order, the previous owner apparently lost the other key.At the end of the day I only have good things to say about the dealership as a whole. Several of my friends referred us there and we will likewise do the same.

I was looking for a vehicle that would last me a long time and as I continue to age, will still suit my needs. I believe my new Subaru Forester will do that. It is so easy to get in and out of with lots of leg room and is very comfortable. I love that it has so many features added to make driving a pleasure including the back up camera, the heated seats, the doors that open wide, the large windows for good viewing, the blind eye detection, and so much more. Valley Subaru, Jessi Pletcher, Patrick Hecht, and Kevin Hahne, made getting the vehicle I wanted an easy experience. They answered all my questions and have repeatedly told me to call them with any other questions that I have. They truly wanted me to be happy with my purchase.

I had never purchased a new vehicle, so I was a bit worried going into my car search... Working with Mike Cole was a great experience. I was able to go in and look at options and was originally looking to lease a new car... Due to my less-than-perfect credit, the monthly payment that could be financed for the car I was originally looking for was a bit too high for me to comfortably pay...After seeing the price, I had thought I would basically have to give up the hope of getting a new car... Luckily, soon thereafter Mike contacted me after looking around the dealership and had found a 1-year-old model with only 2,000 miles on it. We were able to work together to find a financing deal to purchase the vehicle that was in my price range...I've only had the vehicle for a couple of weeks, but am already in love with it and look forward to having years of trouble-free driving ahead of me...Thank you Mike and the whole Valley Subaru team... This was the 2nd Subaru I have purchased from Frank at Valley Subaru. He is easy to deal with and I never felt pressured. Even when I stopped by to test drive a car that I didn't buy, I got the same level of service. Frank handled all aspects of the sales process up until Financing so I didn't feel shuffled around. Once I got to Finance, it was a quick process to sign the paperwork. They offered several add-on's, and I agreed to one, but once I said no to something, they just moved on and didn't hassle me about my decisions.I didn't have a trade-in on this deal, but I did on the last one, and I feel like they treated me fairly. Prices are not reduced very much for this brand, but I knew that already. Even so, there was a little room and I feel like I came away with a fair deal.

Who on earth actually "likes" to shop for an automobile? I never have on the roughly dozen I have purchased. Frank Smith was truly the most helpful, knowledgeable of his product, and non-persuasive sales associate I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. He aided me in making MY OWN decisions with the many choices available and totally devoid of any "sales pressure" whatsoever. The rest of the staff that I dealt with also impressed me as to their professionalism and thoroughness in making sure that I understood every detail of the transaction, the benefits and my responsibilities as well. I do appreciate the honesty that I experienced at Valley Subaru. I will indeed return for another vehicle there in time, but with the quality of vehicle that I purchased, I believe it may well be quite a while. Thanks for the experience.

Patrick Hecht took the time to help us with our new car hunt. Since we were just starting to look, he showed us several options (even on a Sunday afternoon!), the Forester, the Legacy and the Crosstrek. He followed up with us and was able to answer all questions that we had. The following week we made the decision ion to buy the Forester and to buy from Valley Subaru. In a short time we were able to make a deal, trade-in our old car, finance the balance and drive off on our new car.Patrick was friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with. My wife and I were in the market for a new car and stopped in at Valley Subaru in Staunton, VA. We were contacted by Christian McFarland when we arrived. We discussed the vehicles and I told him what price range we were interested in. We test drove a Subaru Crosstrek and loved the car. The following day we returned. Christian was not there, so other members of the dealership staff (Caroluce d'Orvilliers and Jessica Pletcher) assisted us. We test drove the same Crosstrek, and then two Forresters. Each of the staff that we dealt with were knowledgeable, friendly, and sincere. We settled on the original Crosstrek that we had driven, and were provided with numerous discounted options by Kevin Hahne. When we picked up the vehicle the next day (our choice), Christian went through the whole vehicle with us and explained how all of the options functioned, and he paired our cell phones with the Bluetooth in the vehicle. The vehicle was clean and all fluids were topped off. In all, the experience at Valley Subaru was superb. I would recommend Valley Subaru to anyone who is interested in purchasing a new or used vehicle, and believe that your experience will be as easy and enjoyable as ours was.

I recently purchased a new Outback Premium at Valley Subaru. I was referred there by two different online purchase groups...Consumer Reports and Costco. My first interaction was with their online sales rep, Jessi Pletcher. After she emailed me quotes for three vehicles, I decided to come in and try them. She referred me to Frank Smith. He helped me with my test drive, explained many of the features to me, and helped me come up with the configuration I wanted. After choosing my vehicle, I was able to complete paperwork on the purchase, but decided I wanted to return the next day to pick it up. Frank was off that day and so Patrick, another salesman, took over when I arrived (pre-arranged). He was extremely thorough in his overview of all the features on the car, and I left feeling very well "trained". I felt the teamwork the employees displayed was remarkable. I know they work on commission and for them to work together shows a great commitment to customer service. This is the best car-buying experience I have ever had! I knew I wanted a new Subaru Forester, so I checked out the deals at all my local dealerships using the internet and visiting in person. Valley Subaru gave me the best price and the best trade-in deal. The sales personnel, including Jessica (online) and Patrick (at the dealership) were friendly, courteous, easy to talk with, and very knowledgeable. Although the exact model I wanted was not on the lot, Charles somehow pulled some strings and had it delivered quickly to the dealership. I'm not a shopper - But the time had come to trade in my Volvo, and I wanted something as safe, but with more space to haul things and go in snow. I had Subarus years back, so after considering many cars I went to my local Subaru dealer in Charlottesville. My friend (and car advisor!) urged me to go to several dealers, so that night I sent an email for a best price from Valley. I almost immediately got a nice email from Jessie, and a follow-up call. I made an appointment and headed over the mountain the next day. Jessie was at another location, so Caroluce came to my aid. We truly had fun - test drove a few, talked price, trade-in, where we grew up, showed pictures of our dogs.... I really didn't plan to buy that day, but the deal was more than fair, the experience so stress-free that we pretty quickly came to a final deal. I'm now the proud owner of an Outback Limited - and now I know I can bring my dog, Elvis to visit when I bring it in for service! I'm so glad I made the trip over to Staunton - don't hesitate!

Well....it started off with loosing my entire set of keys at Belk on Wednesday. After much searching, a friend took me to Valley Subaru to see if they had "dummy keys". They didn't for this dummy, but let me use their loaner car for the night until I could get my extra set of keys brought over from Charlottesville. Upon entering the show room to return the loaner keys, I spotted the 2016 Forester - same lines as my 2009, and oh, my. Caroluse caught me and let me drive the car, loved it, left to get my 2009 and came back for another look. After sharing Caroluse with another lady who was buying a car, and several hours, I became the owner of a new car. They even worked it out so I could actually buy my 2016 in 2016! Caroluse was wonderful and helped me connect my phone, get Sirrus channels , and explained the bells and whistles - most of which made me jump and made her laugh. The entire team at Valley was wonderful - from Charmain (I hope I got her name right) and Clint in the service area to the other salesmen who stopped to check on me, offer drinks, pet my dog, and just visit and smile. Since I was there on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday - they thought I was on payroll! This is the second car I have purchased here, and would definitely come back across the mountain to do it again - in a few years! Thank you Valley Subaru for the Pepsi, nabs, new friendships, help in my crazy situation, and for my new Forester!! (My keys were found on Saturday at Belk - ugh). End of saga - I love my new Forester, my friend bought my other Forester, life is good......but still working on what all those bells and whistles are!!!

I used the Consumer Reports Build & Buy online. Even though there were other dealerships closer to me in Kingsport, TN, only Valley Subaru responded with a quote. So I drove the 3 1/2 hours to Staunton, VA. Before I left Kingsport I looked up the KBB value of my trade-in and decided it was worth $8000. There I met Jessie Pletcher, the young lady who first called me and Coroluce d'Orvillier. Coroluce took me for a test drive while others looked over my Civic. When we returned, they had already written their offer for $8000without any discussion or haggling. Coroluce and I easily agreed on terms based on the price they had previously given me and they held the car with a small earnest check until I could close on a house. I called back later to add some accessories which were installed when I arrived to pick up the car, and at prices that were no more than the retail value I had researched. Overall it was a completely stress-free, even pleasant experience. Yes I would whole-heartedly recommend this dealership.

They fill in for each other when one is busy so there is no wait time for the customer i.e. Christian was busy assisting another customer when we arrived to pick up our car and Patrick immediately took over and spent an hour going over all the features and explaining in detail how to use. They did not have a car in the color/trim combo I wanted in stock so they brought one in for me the next day. I got to test drive it before finallizing the sale. I am an auto mechanic and my wife is a trainer at a local credit union...as such we were 'well armed' when it came time to buy our first new car. Valley was the second Subaru dealer we went to, and the one we ended up buying our Crosstrek from. Our salesman was Bill Yetzer, who found the car we were looking for in the pool of loaner / courtesy vehicles the dealer keeps on hand for people having their vehicle serviced at the dealership. Mr. Yetzer spent a great deal of time with us, answering questions with confidence, intelligence, and most importantly, honesty. He went above and beyond in his being sure that we were comfortable with the vehicle before we left, as well. An A+ to him. Our experience in the Finance Office went just as smoothly. Several of our family and friends have bought new vehicles recently, and all said their time in the finance office was awful, with paint fixes and extended warranties being offered and re-offered at lower and lower prices ad nauseum. Our time at Valley's Finance Office was entirely different. We went in, Kevin Hahne pitched these products very briefly and exactly one time each, we declined, and he moved on. We were in and out in ten minutes and no high-pressure tactics were employed. I can't say enough about how much of a relief that was. I told him at the time that everyone I knew would hear about that experience from me, as it was so far removed from what we expected. Following the sale, we received a single, short email from Bill Yetzer thanking us for our visit and requesting a sales review on this site. I do not normally review products or services, but our experience at Valley Subaru of Staunton was so much above and beyond our expectations that I am happy to oblige. I don't know if they receive notifications of when a review has been made, but if they do, I hope when they read this it will give them a feeling of 'job well done.'In closing, if you're anywhere near Staunton, VA and in search of a Subaru, do not hesitate to stop by and spend some time at Valley Subaru.

The customer service was great. The dealership offered to pick me up since my car had been totaled. The sales representative Patrick was top notch. He answered my questions and was patient with me. Only a few minor complaints. I had set up an appointment to see a specific car and when I got there they told me that car was sold. They instead offered to sell me the car that they picked me up in (good sales technique) so I felt like they boxed me in a little bit. Also the sticker price on the car does not include the price plus taxes. But bottom line I needed a car and needed help with financing. They picked me up and got me through the whole process in an afternoon. I'm very pleased overall.

Valley Subaru was my first stop in buying a Forester. I had researched and gotten some online quotes from area dealerships. I narrowed it down to the Outback and Forester, and basically wanted to drive them to decide. I was referred by a friend who works at Colonial to Charles Camp, so I went there first. Bill Yetzer was my salesperson. He was incredibly helpful in answering all questions I had on the different models, packages, options. The test drive was great - Bill made sure I got to drive on different roads, no rush, enough time to see how each car handled. He definitely helped me feel comfortable in my choice, letting me debate myself (for far too long - thanks Bill!) and answering additional questions about the Subaru and the average customer for both models. He was honest and open and wonderful to work with, and he also advised me based on lifestyle and my job. I especially appreciated feeling that Bill was not out for an adversarial hard sell. He took time to listen and I felt he was being honest and not trying to get me to leave with a car that was more than I wanted or could afford. I would not have bought at Valley Subaru had that been the case, but I'm happy that I could buy from Bill and Charles as the process was pleasant, and for the most part fun. The normal stress of spending that kind of money and getting a car that will last for my NEXT ten years was there, and I honestly did not expect to buy the same day I started looking, but it all went smoothly and well.I splurged a little on the warranty, but Kevin Hahne worked with me on that, explain it, as well as giving me a slight discount for purchasing both that and the exterior/interior protectant, and I'm glad I purchased it. The USAA discount and trade-in on my car also helped me afford the Forester. Please extend my thanks to Bill, Charles and Kevin for a great experience and even better car.

Most importantly for me, all the usual things that make people uncomfortable about dealing with dealerships were missing (pressure, haggling). We had been looking for a Subaru Forester for a long time and had decided it was finally time to buy one. All initial contacts were made online with this dealership as I live over a hundred miles away. My inquiries were addressed promptly and in a very straightforward manner. There were not attempts to sell me anything that I did not want. I was offered the vehicle, exactly as I wanted it equipped, at a very fair price. A similarly fair price was also offered for the vehicle that I traded in. When I went to the dealership to pick up the vehicle, I was treated courteously. There were absolutely no surprises in the purchase process and it was handled in an efficient manner, The salesman who handled the sale was through and could not have been more pleasant. This was definitely how a car-buying experience should be...thoroughly enjoyable!I have not used the dealership's service department due to the long distance that I live from it. I recently made a purchase with Valley Subaru. All I can say is that I was given a world class experience. My first visit was in April to see if they had the STi in stock. Like most Subaru dealerships, this car was not on the lot. I explained to them what I was looking for and how I wanted my car built. Within minutes we had my vehicle ordered, an agreed upon price, and paperwork for me to take home. Bi-weekly, if not weekly, they informed me of the status of my vehicle. Roughly 8 weeks later my vehicle arrived!! Frank, Charles, Branden, and Kevin deserve a lot of recognition. They made the wait and purchase extremely painless, but most of all they were genuine people. normally I do not post negative feedback, however this time I thought it was worth mentioning the issues I had. I had picked out multiple cars to look at and arrived to meet with an individual. I was running late so I called and spoke to this individual. He said no problem see you then. I arrived I was greeted by 2 different sales people. those individuals advised me the person I was meeting with stepped out and would be back shortly and they said lets get started. I sat there for over 1.5 hrs waiting for them to set up my financing instead of looking at the cars I chose. they would not even take me out to see the cars. I never even got to meet up with the individual I had made the appointment with. I was just treated like a number not an individual. So we went to lunch and almost didn't go back to the dealership. But I had to so I could get back my tax return my bank statements. and pay stubs.When we arrived the person we initially started with was with another customer. So no intention of doing business I walked back to the sales managers office to get my documents. I stood there 10 minutes then the salesperson came back and said something to me and walked into the office then the manager acknowledged her he told her a specific car to show me. She then came out with some keys and said this is the car that matches your financing. ( im just happy it was one on my list) so I said ok lets look at it. I was there so maybe this is not going to be so bad. The car was nice | liked it. and decided to look at price. they said they lowered the price to match what I could get approved for in financing. The price was what Kelly Blue book recommended for that car in that condition. so I did not argue the price but I wish I did now. They also left me with a little over a half a tank of gas. Every Time I have bought a car from a dealer they filled my tank prior to me leaving with the car.When I got home I remembered there were thousands of cars being recalled for faulty airbags. we immediately looked up the make and model. It was on there. I called the dealership the very next day I was told no it was not fixed and I could take it to Brown which was closer to me to get it fixed. Why was I not told about the recall or that it was needed or better yet it should have been fixed before putting out there for sale. When I called Browns to request the repair they asked me why didn't Valley fix this before you sold this to you. So Im skeptical to refer to anybody. I felt like a number not a customer. I went there with the intention to buy a car. I can say that they were friendly enough but that is it.

We bought a new Legacy here two weeks ago. This is was a really pleasant shopping experience from start to finish. I'm so used to the "big town" hustle, that the experience here was a welcome surprise, and something quite different. Everyone seemed truly interested in making sure that I was fully satisfied with our new car. Patrick Hescox is a top notch salesman. He never rushed me, but instead took tons of time to answer all of my questions, as well as take me on a test spin. Never once did he utter: "what will it take to get you into this car ..." nonsense that is the industry standard.. Branden Fauber was also pivotal; he ultimately made the deal I was comfortable with. He, too, was exceptional in working with me, returning calls and providing information. Even when these two were busy, Bill Yetzer stepped in and answered a lot of questions, and generally made us feel welcome there.Our car had to be brought in from another area, and this was done seamlessly. The car was prepped and available, on time, as they said it would. Since we had company in town, I had asked beforehand that the paper signing process go quickly, and it did. No time wasted on unnecessary items, and I greatly appreciated that. A couple of post-purchase issues came up, and those, too, were dealt with in a timely manner. So, long story short, if you are in need of a vehicle, I can easily recommend Valley Subaru.

I think this dealership did a fine job. They weren't pushy, but also weren't apathetic. They had a good selection (not great), but we're willing and able to get exactly what I wanted from a nearby (relatively) dealership. Competitive price and gave me a fair price on my trade. Tried to sell the typical car treatments, extended warranty, etc, but wasn't overly pushy with that. I've seen worse. They beat my credit unions interest rate by 0. 85% (2.74 to 1.89). Overall a good experience and I would recommend to a friend.

The sales person I dealt with was professional and more than accommodating with his time to answer all my questions both in the showroom and while taking a test drive. I purchased a 2015 Outback from Frank Smith the day I went in to inquire about the car. I am recently retired and wanted to trade in my 2001 Lexus so that I could begin taking road trips with my new free time and wanted an auto with a Navigation system. The fully loaded Outback is way more than I even expected - I love the safety and security issues addressed by Subaru in this car. Bravo! The car arrived two weeks earlier than I expected and the entire team that registered my car with DMB, notified my insurance company of the trade-in of old vehicle and purchase of new, etc. were outstanding to deal with. Although we cannot judge repair and maintenance, we can review sales. This was our first ever visit to Valley Subaru, and it was rewarding. Our sales person was both friendly and professional. We were shown the type of car that fits our interest, my wife practiced driving with it, and all of its functions were thoroughly explained to her. An offer was received that we were not comfortable with, and we were asked to give our ideal price including the ideal trade in value for our car. That ideal price was accepted within a few hundred dollars without debate. Our trade in vehicle license plates were transferred to the new 2015 vehicle and our car insurance was updated and all paperwork was signed within an hour. We drove away with nothing more to do. I highly commend Valley Subaru on a job well done.

Representative Charles Camp assisted us in our quest to purchase a new vehicle. We had narrowed it down to a Honda Accord ELX, Subaru Legacy Premium, Hyundai Sonata ECO and a Toyota Camry XSE.After comparing all the features to get to that list, the 'hard' part was determining which mix of options and prices best suited us. I currently own a 2004 Subaru Impreza. I was looking for another car and looked around and decided to buy another Subaru. I love my Subaru. I stopped by the dealer one day and Charles Camp was quick to help me. I told him I was looking at the Legacy. I took a test drive and told him I would get back to him. I loved the car. I came back about four weeks later. During those four weeks I was not pressured at all into buying a car. I finally went back and drove the Legacy again but in the end I chose a Forester. I love the car. The buying experience was great. Charles is very nice and knowledgeable. He really cares about the customer before and after the sale. I will definitely look him up again in the future if he is still there in buying another car. The other staff at Valley Subaru have always been nice and very accommodating. I can call at any time and get my oil changed. I have never been put off for another date or time. They always fit me in. I will always be a loyal customer of Valley Subaru. Thanks again for a great experience.

This is the 3rd Subaru vehicle that we have purchased from Frank Smith of Valley Subaru. We found the experience to be positive, up front, and fair. Frank shared with us the history of the used car we purchased, which was a 2011 Subaru Legacy for our daughter. We are also the proud owners of a 2003 Subaru Outback, which our 19 year old son drives and absolutely loves, I drive a 2009 Subaru Impreza, and today we purchased a 2011 Subaru Legacy for our daughter who will get her license in November. Frank Smith is an awesome guy, knowledgeable about his job and extremely fair when making a deal. My 86 year old father owns a 2013 Subaru Legacy sold to him by Frank Smith and I have referred two friends to him who have also purchased vehicles from Frank. In my opinion, Frank Smith is a top notch salesman who knows the business of selling cars. Three of our four vehicles are Subaru's all purchased from Frank Smith since 2003. I know my daughter will love having a Subaru as much as her brother does and I do. Thank you Frank Smith. You are number one in our book!

We were able to negotiate a good price quickly without a hassle. All of our paperwork processing was completed quickly and efficiently. Bought Subaru # 1 in 2011 from Staunton Subaru and had four years of wonderful service both from the dealership and the Service Department. Valley Subaru is the place to go especially if you are affiliated with USAA. The car buying experience was a breeze. Thank your Patrick! Both the salws manager and finance officer were knowledgeable and efficient.

I found a new dealership when we got fed up with processing fees that prove that some dealers don't have a conscience about costs. $599 and $499 for processing is obscene, (and they know it is, but they think you haven't got a choice.) Wrong! We made our choice to not play their games.So we found Staunton Subaru (which sold to Valley in between our order of a vehicle and our taking delivery when it arrived.) It is now Valley Subaru. It was a little further away, and in a direction we don't often travel, but various things showed us it will be worth the extra miles to be able to trust the place you buy from. Their processing fee was $299. Considering that others around here are getting ridiculous in this area, this told us they ate least understand how unfair those $500-600 fees are. I also needed a Subaru part for our 2010 Outback at the time I drove up to test drive a new one in July. I talked to the parts guy, verified they had the part, and he set it aside for me to pick up when we came. He also gave me a discount because I told him that over 25 years ago, we had bought from the previous dealership that became Staunton Subaru. He kindly gave me the discount they give to customers who have bought vehicles from them, though it wasn't till a couple hours later that I ordered our new Outback. He was super helpful and had a great attitude. I don't know what happened with the negative reviewer in 2011 who had such troubles with someone named Mitch. This probably wasn't him, and I doubt he is still around. Anyway, this guy was a polar opposite to that guy named "Mitch."Our salesman is Patrick, and I highly recommend him! He told me about the upcoming sale when we first ordered our new 2015 Outback Limited. Some places might not want to share that because it might make some buyers afraid of confusion and problems with their order being bought through the next owners. We trusted Patrick and he has proven excellent in every way, throughout the process. I had questions about different vehicle options, wrestled with changing our order, but eventually kept it as ordered. I did modify some of the dealer installed options before the car came. Then I also asked for some things to be done to the car when it arrived to make sure everything was perfect before we took delivery. As I had asked, they did a tire alignment and verified tire pressures, and when we took the final test drive in the new vehicle, I had confidence I could assess things objectively if there had been any issues.The car performance was awesome, and we quickly headed back to finish the paperwork.Patrick took plenty of time showing us the various car features (we even discovered a feature my wife's 2010 Outback has that we never even knew!!) Patrick was helpful in every way. He talked straight talk, didn't just tell us what he thought we'd want to hear, and worked to find out information anytime we had any questions along the way between ordering and finally receiving the vehicle. That's no small task with someone like me, who questions nearly everything and wants to understand as much as possible beforehand. This trait serves me well in many ways, but it also makes me tough to satisfy unless you do your homework. He did his. I give Patrick the highest marks in every way. He is helpful, responsive, patient, and very easy to deal with. It was almost like buying from a good friend, but without the feeling that you wouldn't want to step on toes or hurt feelings, just able to be honest if you had a concern. I'll call Patrick again without hesitation to buy our next Subaru.I never felt any regret that we found this dealership, and I expect to bring our vehicles to them for any service we need going forward. Their people seem first rate. The sales manager, John Dixon, also is very helpful and easy to deal with. He found out that the invoice price came in lower than he had expected, and was happy to lower our price accordingly. The finance manager, Dave, was very thorough and explained everything about the purchase price and fees as we completed the deal. We feel very good about all of these folks working together as a team to keep our Subaru experience going for years to come!

During the process of car shopping, I visited many local dealerships. Staunton Subaru (now Valley Subaru) was head and shoulders above the rest. My salesman, Dustin Campbell, and the entire staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. They took time to answer my questions and address my concerns. There was no high-pressure song and dance, only straight-up honest dealing. If the rest of my experience with Valley Subaru is as pleasant as my purchase experience, this may be my first Subaru, but it won't be my last.

We found the Subaru Outback we wanted online and the Internet rep, Jesse, was super helpful in setting up our meeting. My husband and I drove an hour to get to Valley Subaru and arrived at 6:45 p.m. Dustin was waiting at the door and was very friendly and ready for our visit when we arrived. We left at 9:15 p.m. after test driving the car and doing all the paperwork. It really was quite easy to get through it all and the staff were on top of everything! I would highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a new car.
