I worked with JJ on buying a used car after a couple really dull and disappointing experiences at other dealers. The overall customer service and satisfaction at VanDevere Outlet is superior to any other car buying experience I've had. JJ was knowledgeable of the car and was able to answer all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I took me almost an hour to drive out to the Outlet location and another hour going home. What a great experience we had at VanDevere Auto Outlet, our salesman, Jeff Hurd, did an excellent job in getting us the best deal for our trade-in and we couldn't be happier with our 2014 Subaru Forester! When we picked up our car, one extra set of keys were missing, their response: no problem, we'll have another set made for you! We had a slight problem with our seat release/latch button, again, we called the Service Department on Market Street and within an hour the repair was made and we were on our way! And I am happy to add, at no cost to us. Thanks to Jeff Hurd and the entire Staff.

Went to Akron form Pittsburgh to purchase a Ram 1500 truck after establishing most of the deal over the phone and internet Brett had everything ready when I arrived, he went above and beyond what most people would do. We purchased a 2007 Chevy Cobalt on 7/21/2016 that was fairly priced with Kelly Blue Book and after the test drive the driver side window would not go down. No problem because it was late evening we left the car to be looked at and received a call the next day that the electric window motor had gone bad and the dealership put a new motor in and the car was ready to pickup. We pickup the car and drove to our Akron, Ohio home. The vehicle drove well, air conditioning working great and all around ran and handled well for a vehicle with over 100,000 miles. Another Issue was noticed once we arrived home our son Dean that was in the front passenger seat said did you know the windshield is cracked. I looked and sure enough it was cracked in a horseshoe shape from the very bottom of the windshield up about 8". I immediately thought we drove it off the lot as is no warrantee that this would be a fight. Because it was again late the Arlington Road sales location was closed so first thing the next morning I got into the car and personally drove back to the Dealership expecting a big song and dance but instead I was pleasantly surprised when the windshield Issue was addressed without hesitation bring the vehicle back tomorrow morning and we will have a new windshield installed by noon. I will be looking for two additional cars for my two other sons next year and the year after. VanDevere Auto Outlet will be my first stop when we are ready to purchase additional vehicles. However, it was not really what I wanted, so the salesperson, Cory Kanis, took the time to find out what I was looking for and went through the entire inventory to find numerous cars to show me. Jason Liddy was supremely honest in his dealings while I was trading in my previous vehicle for a Chrysler 300 C Varvatos. He maintained excellent communication throughout the buying process, and put extra effort into ensuring that a minor issue was sorted out before I took delivery of the vehicle. I was impressed with Jason being so forthcoming, and felt that I could trust him while making my purchase. While shopping with Vandevere, they were willing to hold the vehicle that I was interested in while my previous car was in for routine service. When I test drove the car I was interested in I forgot to check the air conditioning. They took the car to have the battery checked out and noticed that the air conditioning did not work. Not only did they replace the battery but they gave me a " we owe you " slip to get the air fixed. When I took it in for repair they replaced a part and charged the air. I have had no problems. Both my salesman Joe Jakubowski and my service advisor Jade Welden were considerate and helpful.

Went in looking for a vehicle, but had some very strict parameters on what I wanted. Talked with a salesperson who seemed like they were begging me to buy a car. They went to their manager John Eutzly who came over to talk with me. I told him the vehicle type and price I was looking for, and he said it was like I was looking for a unicorn. He then proceeded in a mocking tone to claim that every once in awhile they tie a unicorn up on the hill by the dealership, and they let the children feed it skittles. Obviously this person doesn't want to sell cars. Too bad for them I went to Ganley Ford and talked with Joe Catalanotto. Apparently they must sell unicorns, because I left the same day with a vehicle that I wanted at the price I wanted. So definitely go to VanDevere if you want mocked, ridiculed, and in the end walk home.

One of my favorite things to do, along with getting a root canal with no anesthesia, is going to a dealer to buy a car. I love the time investment that is involved and how the car that I drove in for a trade that was worth a small fortune when I bought it now has depreciated to the point that any dealer would be doing me a favor to take it off of my hands. Live in Pittsburgh and was told didn't have to travel there to service vehicle just to follow service guidelines in escalade handbook as I did but when I needed service as my water pump went and called lifetime warranty company I was told warranty was void because of oil change I got without their approval and as all I was doing was following the guideline so price or water pump was going to be $500 and when I called dealership about my situation and I talked to woman name Debbinee she assured me someone would call me. Well it's been a month and no call so if you are buying used car which will be be serviced for you do yourself a favor and ask for money off car and cancel warranty because it's worth is $0.00 and it cost me $500 to find that out. For a big dealership you would think their customer service would be better.

I talked to Mitchell at the outlet.Told him I was looking for a car and that I still owed on the car I wanted to trade. He told me that it was no problem that they had guaranteed financing and that they do financing for people all the time that had negative equity and could get me financed. After giving him my information he called me a few minutes later and told me I owed to much money and he couldn't do anything.He told me to pay the car down more and he could help. A couple days later he me fill out an application for my wife to see if we could use her income also. Never heard from him.Will not deal with this dealership in the future.

My credit isn't perfect. My trade-in wasn't perfect. But my experience with Jackie Berger at the Vandevere Outlet (on South Arlington) was as close to perfect as it gets. The facilities were clean & although bustling with energy, I felt as though everyone on the sales floor was intent on making every customer as comfortable as possible. The cars I wanted to test drive weren't at the Arlington location, so Jackie graciously took my partner & me to the Market Street location. We located the first vehicle quickly. Everything about it was fine, including the price, but there was no immediate connection. So Jackie knew that this vehicle wasn't "the one". She led us into the showroom & had us take a seat while she located the other option. Although it took a little while for her to find it, she was not to be deterred. She searched for that car almost an hour (apologizing profusely the entire time). When she found it & came back inside to get us, she said, "You're not going to believe this car!" Her smile said everything that needed to be said. The car is a 2009 Chrysler Sebring Limited. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I felt the connection Id missed with the other car. Because of the instant smile on my face, Jackie suggested my test drive be the trip from that location back to the Arlington store. Without hesitation, I agreed. Im woman enough to admit that I giggled almost the entire trip!! The car is impeccable. It was so well cared for that most people think its brand new (& not just new to me). There are a few miles on her (about 89k), but at the age of 36, Im in no condition to make fun! Beyond the great gas mileage, visual flawlessness, roomy interior, amazing handling, & luxurious comfort, the car has every bell & whistle possible. By the time we arrived back at the Arlington Outlet, I was hooked. I barely had the door open before I said, Jackie, this is it. Almost as quickly as the number crunching started, it was over. The asking price of the car was actually lower than the Kelly Blue Book suggested price. At first, a number was written on a piece of paper (the approximate value of my payments), provided that I had a down payment other than the trade-in. I didnt. So Jackie went back to the drawing board & they actually offered me $500 MORE for my trade than originally quoted (which was already more than what Kelly Blue Book suggested). The payments were about $20/mo higher, but I can live with that. I accepted the counter offer happily & havent looked back. Since then, Jackie has followed up on my purchase to make sure that Im still satisfied & happy. Shes become a friend. Not only do I recommend Jackie (via word of mouth & by passing out almost 20 of her business cards), but I have to say that the entire Vandevere experience was wonderful. -- Bottom line: Jackie Berger & the Vandevere Bunch have made a loyal customer for life!

Iam a young single mother who went there looking for a safe car for my 3 children and myself. I was told by the sales guy Neal this car would be great. Later when I looked closer at the papers it says at the bottom parts only car.whatttt??? They plated me and said it was a good family car! I gave him the test of my tax return and left with a plated vehicle. Just as a month was about to hit my brakes went out and my car accelerated into a pole at a gas station. With my kids inside mind you. I called and they gave me to a few different people. Nobody helped!!! They said "you are grown woman, you signed the paper" "you get what you get" I lost my job because of no transportation and no bus lines where I live! I will never ever reccomend them. All I wanted was my money back!

I was just looking around at cars to replace my wife Kelli's 2005 Ford Mustang, since I have known Bo for a while I thought I would check out a couple of vehicles they had at VanDevere's Auto Outlet a 2003 Jeep Wrangler and a 2007 Ford Mustang GT ...as it would turn out the Jeep was at the Chevy Store, so Bo, being the astute Salesman he is and knowing my wife, decided first to show me the Mustang, and boy am I glad he did! I had concerns on whether or no I could afford it, Bo assured me they would be able to get me adequate funding, he then allowed me to take the car to New Philadelphia, where Kelli was working for the day to show her, all the while they would be searching for the right financing. Of Course she instantly fell in love ...like there was a doubt, 2007 Ford Mustang GT Charcoal Gray with Black Leather interior and a 5 speed, no doubt. Well long story, not as long, Bo and the fine folks at VanDevere worked very hard at getting us financed as we needed some help with that ...Bo was friendly, accomandating and very knowledgable about the whole process, he then allowed me to take the car home for the weekend (leaving my 2006 F150 as collateral ...lol) ...it was all worth it, now 2 months later my wife Kelli is very happy with her car in large part due to Bo knowing what she wanted (and me being able to pay for it ...lol) and convincing me (in a non used car salesman pressure sort of way) that it was perfect for her ...He was correct ...Thank you Bo and the entire VanDevere team !!!

Initially my experience with VanDevere Auto Outlet and James was positive and seemed promising, however as they looked into my credit rating the demeanor of James in particular changed drastically. It seemed almost as if a light switch went off and all the sudden I was prey rather than a customer. I was told that because of the bank that they had to work with (due to my credit rating), I had to purchase a warranty and allow a GPS tracker to be attached to my car. James even admitted that it was "technically" illegal for them to sell me a car contingent on purchasing a warranty, but told me outright that he would not sell me *that* car unless I purchased the warranty. Finally when it came time to show me the paperwork I was given a printout with marker scribbling all over it of a smiley face, "drive it home now!" and a few other corny phrases that were somehow supposed to mask the fact that I had come in looking to purchase a car for 5,000 with 1,000 down, and now was being presented a total purchase price of just over 8,000 dollars - 2,000 of which were from this added warranty and insurance above and beyond due to the car's price point being significantly higher than the bluebook... When I asked for any sort of documentation as to what this 2,000 dollars covered James told me "look, do you want the car or not?" as if it is somehow unreasonable to want to make an educated decision about purchasing the 2,000 dollars worth of warranty/insurance that they were attempting to railroad me into. Finally when he realized that I was ready to walk he had someone else come in who in so many words told me that my credit rating was poor so they had me over a barrel, and began digging into my transportation options in an attempt to pressure me into the purchase. I tactfully left the interaction as quickly as possible at this point. I do NOT recommend James or Van Devere Auto Outlet to anyone with poor credit. They will attempt to take you to the cleaners in ways that most likely aren't even legal, and will downright insult your intelligence with some of their sales tactics, because apparently all people with bad credit lack common sense.

My experience at VanDevere was more than what I expected. This is a wonderful dealership. Kevin McCartney is a wonderful associate. He made my car buying experience easy and stress free. He took the time to explain all the paperwork to me. I didn't feel pressured at any time. I called the dealership to test drive a Nissan Murano. Kevin immediately assisted me by providing directions to the outlet as I was driving from Cleveland and wasn't familiar with the area. He entertained my children as we worked through all the paperwork. I love the warranty forever- this is such a great perk and probably the single most reason why I chose to purchase my vehicle from Vandevere. My wife and I were ready to down size our cars and wanted to trade in two vehicles (an F150 and a Pilot) for a single used car. We found the car we wanted to look at online - with a free Carfax, called the dealership for an appointment, and showed up for the test drive. We were introduced to Andy as soon as we arrived and we were in the car driving within minutes. Andy was informative and gave us the history of the car as we drove. After an initial ride, Andy suggested we take the car ourselves - to give us a chance to talk more freely and do our own inspection. We drove, we pulled knobs, we looked at the engine, we read a little of the owner's manual and we figured out features on the dash - and we loved it. Upon return, Andy began our journey to ownership with some simple forms - which turned into a mountain of paperwork - but such is the case with new car ownership. During processing, we took our new car to lunch, my wife left to attend some family matters, and everything progressed smoothly, professionally - and friendly. Never pressured, everything explained. It was a great experience and probably the best time I have ever had buying a car. Great job - great dealership!

Not only did I drive home smiling, but I was smiling throughout the entire experience, thanks to Andy. I will admit I am not the easiest person to work with, but Andy did it with a smile the entire time. He goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I was really in love with the last vehicle I had, but unfortunately it had gotten totaled. I told Andy about it, and the features I was looking for in my next used vehicle, and I believe he actually understood what I was looking,for instead of just offering me a vehicle that was on the lot, like I had experienced at other dealers. He scoured the inventory to find vehicles that matched the preferences. All while having a genuine friendliness about him, that made me feel at ease when I talking to him or asking him questions about the vehicles I was looking at. It was like shopping with an friend that just happened to be an expert at cars. But what really impressed me is I told him I wanted stylish for me, and he interpreted that exactly right, and matched me to the perfect vehicle, which I have never had happen and I believe it is very rare to have any salesperson that understands individual style, and especially not a car saleperson, but Andy has it down. He was readily available by phone and cell phone, and never took long to return my call if he wasn't available. He is the reason I purchased from Van Devere vs. another dealer. Great customer service and person.

I spoke with Andy over the phone before coming to the dealership. He gave me a feeling of reassurance that they could work with me despite some of the issues I had. He seemed to have a real sense of confidence about himself and was very willing to help me achieve my goal. I had actually gone to the wrong dealership but found the vehicle I wanted there anyway. I wanted to give Andy the opportunity for the sale since I had spoken with him first. Everyone at the Chevrolet store was very helful with getting me in touch with Andy and did not seem to begrudge a fellow salesman his opportunity. I was not happy that the manager would offer me such a low price on my trade-in after advertising that they wanted trades. I know what my vehicle was worth and was in great shape. I take care of my vehicles; I am very meticulous. When I decided that I would not accept their offer and I made an attempt to walk out, then Brian Smith said "Oh that was just the beginning". After asking me what I wanted for my trade, they did finally come close to my asking price. They could have done that in the first place instead of wasting my time. Behind that I felt that they were assuming they were dealing with a fool, which is very common of companies taking advantage of women, and I did not appreciate that at all. That was an example of what all of the dealerships do making VanDevere no different from all the rest.I felt they were hiding something. If I had not had a male friend accompany me, I strongly felt that VanDeVere would have tried to take advantage of me (just like all the rest). My male friend did a lot of talking in my behalf (thank God for that). Just like all the other dealerships, they would have tried to "pull wool over my eyes". Even after I purchased the vehicle I still found some flaws that I am sure VanDevere were aware of. All they wanted was to make a sale (just like all the rest). In my opinion, if they wanted me to come back in the future to purchase another vehicle or refer someone they can at least be up-front with customers. That is where Good Customer Service comes in to play. I work in customer service (currently work in Government serving our Veterans, and have worked in a hospital serving the sick for over 30 years).I am waiting for parts on my vehicle that VanDevere and I agreed upon when I signed the purchase agreement. I would be very very surprised if I ever get those parts.Of course, as expected, I noted after the sale of the vehicle that there was no rear headrest and a couple other things. Brian said the headrest was not sent with the vehicle. It would not have costed VanDevere very much at all to order me something minute as a headrest. That one thing would have proven to me that you were providing good customer service taking the extra step towards good customer relations.Yep just like all the rest. Next time I will try another Dealership for my next purchase.

I recenlty purchased my vehicle from Vandevere and I dealt with John E. and Nelson T. they were extremly helpful and polite. I told them what I was looking for and within the next day or so John called me and told me what they have in stock. The professionlism was great and I never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision, the process went smooth and they kept me updated on the paperwork and explained eveything to me in great detail about prices, warranties, & what Vandevere had to offer. I have told my friends & family of the great customer service I experienced and will DEFINITELY go back to Vandevere for my future vehicles. My husband is looking forward to trading in his truck this summer and purchasing a truck from here, and I hope we get to work with John & Nelson once again!!:) Overall experience was GREAT!!! In the past 25 years, I have purchased 8 vehicles from dealerships and have been to many other dealerships. Never have I been treated so poorly, rudely, disrespected and out right lied to at a dealership as I have been at VanDevere. I had the worst experience of my life at an attempt to purchase a vehicle at VanDevere. After 4 days and 3 trips to the dealership, we had an agreed upon price for the car and I agreed to purchase it and they sold it 5 minutes before my appointment to purchase it. They didn't even apologize or even show the slightest bit that they even cared. They didn't even offer to try and find another car that I might like. Instead, they just let me walk away upset, disappointed and to another dealership. Also, if a consumer doesn't know car values or do their homework, they will take advantage of you. I was given a price at one VanDevere location and a salesman at another VanDevere location tried to sell me the exact same car for $2195.00 more. That is 40% more for the same car.

My wife & I traded in her mini-van for a 2007 Ford Fusion. We did not have a specific vehicle in mind when we got there but Bill was patient and showed us a number of vehicles that would fit into the perameters we set. Bill was very courteous and mindful of our time. When we were done I mentioned that I would be willing to trade my vehicle in for something newer if the deal was right. Bill worked on it and got back to me in a couple weeks with a vehicle that fit what I was looking for. With Bill's help I was able to upgrade my car without increasing my payments. Thanks Bill, for the help on both vehicles. My wife & I are very pleased.

From the first visit with Rick at the Auto Outlet of Vandeverre to the time I drove off the lot in my 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty, the experience was nothing short of incredible! The demeanor of Rick and the entire staff there was friendly and very personable but yet maintained the highest sense of professionalism. They are honest in all of their statements and played no games. That in itself made the buying experience very pleasurable. I would recommend not only Rick but the ENTIRE Vandeverre staff to anyone who is seeking to purchase a new or used vehicle!!!!

I would highly recommend Bill Sonnhalter. He went out of his way to work with me during the car purchasing process and was patience and listened as well as looked for the vehicle that I desired to purchase within the price range I was looking for. At no time did Bill pressure me and he kept in constant contact with me through the buying process. If your looking for a true honest/hardworking dealership contact - I would highly recommend Bill and I plan to purchase my next vehicle from him when the time comes. I have had bad expereinces in the past with dealerships, but Bill made the purchase of my current vehicle a good experience.

Everything the day of my sale went great. Service was terrific and everyone was friendly. When I purchased my car there was a known A/C problem, no big deal for a $5000 car. The problem is since I purchased the car last June I have had to put over $600 in repairs into the car and have yet to fix the known A/C problem. While all the service during the sale was great, I don't know whether I would return.

I searched the country for a Cadillac Escalade with low miles at the right price. I found two, one of which happened to be at Vandevere Auto Outlet. I made the 2 1/2 hour drive from Pittsburgh up to Akron to meet with Bill and the staff at Vandevere. From the phone calls back and forth to arriving at the dealership to pulling off in my new Escalade, Bill and the rest of the team made buying this vehicle one of the easiest car buying experiences I've ever had. Its unfortunate that this dealership is 2 1/2 hours away from me, otherwise I would go back to have all of my service work done there as well. I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip again to purchase my next vehicle from these people.

Bill was easy to work with and Vandevere had a great selection of used vehicles that were exceptionally clean. Bill's post sales follow up was fantastic as we required some additional information on the vehicles to put into our files. He was very prompt with sending it out. I believe my purchasing track record with Vandevere speaks volumes as to why I have assigned them with such high marks. My ninth, and most recent purchase, of an absolutely gorgeous 2006 Dodge Ram 4X4 from the Vandevere Bunch, is just further testimonial of the great deals, excellent selections, and friendly faces you will encounter at Vandevere.Now I know that most of you absolutely loathe the idea of going to a dealership, not finding anything that trips your trigger, but some salesperson has you cornered and you just want to get out of there so you can go find the vehicle of your dreams at the next lot.Vandevere's has that problem solved for you.They have, in my humble opinion, the most user friendly website of any dealer I have ever seen...and tons of vehicles to view. Each vehicle is showcased with elaborate pictures and written detail. And speaking of detail, their pre-owned vehicles are like showroom new when they are presented to the public for sale.I live close to their Auto Outlet at I77 and Arlington. Being a frequent flyer with Vandevere, they know who I am when I call. So if the vehicle I want to see is at one of their other locations, they bring it to the Outlet for my viewing pleasure...and on MY timetable. They are truly there to serve you and to find you the vehicle you desire. On this recent purchase, they drug two other trucks to the Outlet and I rejected them both. As nice as they were, they just didn't do it for me...and my sales pro, Bill Sonnhalter knew it. There was no attempt to sell me something I didn't want. That's not how these guys roll. So I'm at work the next day, my cell phone rings, and Bill tells me one of the stores just got in the exact truck I was looking for and he would have it at the Outlet for me to take a look. He couldn't wait for me to view his latest "catch"...and as the late Paul Harvey used to say, "And now you know the rest of the story". Went in to trade in 2003 dodge durango. John showed us a nice 2010 Chevrolet HHR. Everyone was very nice and polite and Extremely helpful. We bought the 2010 HHR. This has been an overall pleasant experience and I will recomend this dealership to anyone and everyone that I know that is looking for a new car.
