We got a flat 25 miles north of Richmond on 95. We were towed to this dealership where everyone went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and got us on our way in 2 hours. Through this very stressful situation the entire team was fantastic. If you drive a Volvo and you're going to get a flat I suggest you do it near these folks. We interacted with at least 10 people at the dealership and each and every one of them was fantastic. Thank you all.

Service department is not well run. Called to check on my car after it had been 7 hours with no word for a basic inspection and maintenance. Got transferred 4 times and no one picked up the phone on any of the transfers. It still wasn’t ready when I arrived. I bought my Volvo here brand new two years ago and although my annual service was covered under warranty, they actually charged me $10 to remove my old license plate because I couldn’t loosen the screws myself. Wow.

Great experience all together! We are from out of state, which can be complicated, but the saleman and managers made sure everything was taken care of. We got a great price and didnt feel pressured into anything extra such as warranties. Overall very happy with our car and our experience. They even filled our gas tank for our long drive home!! Thank you!!

Perry, our salesman, had a very friendly, helpful attitude, and was extremely knowledgeable of the product, a Volvo XC60. He listened to our needs, and showed us exactly the right vehicle. He was not overly pushy, which was very surprising. We had the opportunity to go home and really think about it, rather than making us feel like we had to buy "today" to get the car. Perry had wonderful follow through using email and phone, and by the time we went back we knew what we wanted and he had it all cleaned up for us, still not knowing if we were definitely going to purchase it. When we finally decided to get it, he made the sale go smoothly, and gave us training on how to use all of the safety features, as well as the other "bells and whistles". Overall a great experience.

Was just what you expect buying a car. Terms changed as soon as I got there. Even the video that lured me there was edited upon arrival. Just stick to you guns and you should be alright. I think having a back-up car helped me. Do your homework. All in all just a classic dealership.

I have taken my Volvo to this dealer for preventive maintenance several times and the service is always excellent. I drive over 27,000 miles a year, so I see the dealer frequently. Service is great and having the option to get a loaner or a ride in the shuttle makes it convenience.

I recently shopped on line through cars.com and found a used Volvo through Mooers Volvo. It was not even fully listed yet as it had just been bought from auction as a returned lease, but I was able to get enough information from Valerie to drive to Richmond and test drive it. Two days later my husband and I completed the transaction. Service was excellent and we could not be happier with our Volvo. Thanks for having both cars.com and Mooers websites!

Service is always performed on time, at or below estimated cost and done correctly. The service writers are friendly and accomodating. there is a free shuttle to take me to work and pick me up from work to bring me back from the dealership.

I bought a new car here in 2001. The service managers at Volvo are pleasant. However, I suspect the service managers are being led by misguided dealership values. The dealership as whole does not strive to balance business results and customer satisfaction. It's all about profits here. Mark ups are way too high. There's too little dealership focus on cost of ownership and, over time, they alienate their customers. Our V70 was constantly in their shop so either their quality of work is very, very proor or the volvo car itself is a lemon. The dealership does not try to make things right. They just keep charging outrageous prices for service.

Received coupon from a Cempetitors dealership that they matched in order to winterize my 2008 Volvo S80. Set up my appointment ONLINE at my convenience at it was confirmed withing 12 hours. Had business in Richmond area that day however my coupon was from a dealer 75 miles away for service - They matched that competitors coupon for Winterization . Their Service area waiting room has free WIFI, Coffee, snacks and water. It was a quiet and comforatble waiting area and they had 3 seperate computers for use for people that don't have their IPAD or Laptop with them! The service was a s expected and I received follow up call from Dealership 3 days later to see if my service was as expected. Will come back to have my vehicle serviced their again when I am in that area..

This dealership is extremely competitive on pricing, so much so that I have purchased two cars from them without sacrificing personal service and commitment from the sales staff. The service department is professional and competent with wervice work or repairs occuring on time without any issues, at the price discussed up front.I value the service department so much, that I drive seventy miles to visit them, bypassing a Volvo dealership that is sixteen miles away, that has few attributes and corporate culture that I've described above.

Most of the time, the dealer is the last place you'd want to take your car for repairs. Not in this case! Mooer's is all about customer service, honesty, and quality. They listen to and honor your specific requests, they point out issues they discover during servicing, and never push unnecessary service/parts. When they discover issues, they always estimate when replacement/repair will be needed rather than insisting that it be done immediately if not required.I cannot imagine taking my car anywhere else!!

What a team of service professionals ! These guys & gals have taken care of my XC90 for some 7 years now and kept the vehicle in such great condition that I'm almost fearful to "try a new version". Additionally, they care for the customer - often recommending use of a loaner for the day when the service check-up may be extensive and/or time consuming. That is immensely helpful and greatly appreciated. Whenever I consider the purchase of a new car, I will certainly consider this group.

When the issues with my defroster proved difficult to diagnose, Michael P. arranged for a loaner at no charge. He then kept the car for about a week until the next frosty morning so that the problem could be diagnosed, and repairs effected. On a cold frosty morning after I picked up the car, Michael P. called just to confirm that the problem was fully resolved.

My wife and I bought our 2004 S60 from Mooers in 2005. We bought this car because my wife was going to be commuting from Richmond to Dc and all we heard about was safety etc when it came to Volvo. Our S60 has 120k miles on her now and each time I try to trade her in, my wife convinces me not to. ( This was our first Volvo but now all she will drive is a Volvo, and if I were to trade it for something other than a Volvo, I know I will be looking for an apartment as well..:)The day I showed up at Mooers I was a 23 year old in a t-shirt and plaidshorts. I encountered Ed, (who, I was sad to hear is no longer with us), inthe parking lot and he treated me like I was a 50 year old successful Bankerin a three piece suit, even down to throwing me the keys and letting me testdrive the car on my own with out reservation. This spoke volumes of whattype of dealership I was dealing with.Well since 2005 we have had a Tree fall on the hood, a rogue DC pedestrianKick in the rear quarter panel, two rocks crack the windshield while drivingand yet the ONLY mechanical work we have had to do to this vehicle are thescheduled services and brakes one time, until just this past week when mywife came home and the s60 was making a horrible noise. All that body workand after recently being detailed at Mooers the S60 looks brand new. Four years ago we moved to Northern Virginia exactly 98 miles from our Mooers dealer.We are within 20 minutes of four different Volvo dealers yet have stillmaintained the car at Mooers due to the courtesy, professionalism, andoverall honestly we receive from Mark, Mike and the guys. But now we werestuck up here 98 miles away and our S60 needed work. What do we do? Well the only thing to do was get it towed to Mooers.The next morning our S60 was at the dealership and I was getting a call. Now, usually a call from the mechanic means,okay, what can the mechanic seem to find wrong so that they can mark the cost upnot with Mooers. The conversation went something like this, "Mr Westerman, we cant really find anything wrong other than a minor inexpensive part. A few minutes later they called back and said we have her fixed, detailed and ready to pick up.My wife stated that she wants to drive this car till the wheels fall offespecially now that the S60 is all fixed up. We have just completed the 120kmile service to include the timing belt etc, so there is no telling when Iwill be able to buy my Volvo SUV.(thanks guyslol)Each time we interact with Mooers we are stunned at how great of anexperience we have. Thank you Mooers family for all you do! I personallyhope that we will be down soon to purchase our SUV, but knowing the quality of this car it might be a while!!

We have had 3 experiences with the service location on west broad. They. All experiences have been negative. They do a lot of guessing with diagnosing problems and make a lot of excuses regarding work not being completed as promised. We need a recall repair that they did not complete after leaving for a full day. We are so disgusted with their poo customer service and rudeness that we are having the recall repair complete in VA Beach.
