I never saw myself owning a Hyundai but I absolutely love my Sonata Limited. My salesperson was Carla Harden and while I've dealt with other salespeople in the past, I have never dealt with anyone as knowledgeable about the features of a vehicle. I already liked the Sonata, but it was Carla taking the time to explain every single feature (and there are tons that I knew nothing about) that actually made me love it and decide to buy. She was professional and personable, and was able to answer every single question (and there were a lot) that I had. She made the entire experience fun and easy and even setup my Blue Link by the time I was done signing my documents. Also, I would like to also thank Dante, the Finance Director, for getting me an awesome rate and in-and-out in a flash. I couldn't be more happy with my vehicle or my experience at World Hyundai.

Sure, i got good deals on a few cars here. However good luck getting something as simple as an oil change there. Typically you have to make an appointment on average a week in advance. And if you miss it, guess what, yep wait another week. I don't know about you, jiffy lube, or a similar service place can have you in and out in 25 minutes. My life don't revolve around my oil changes ...and the free car wash they give you, ha...they just get your car wet, they don't wash it. I will not buy another car there based upon the service department, or should i say the lack of a service department.

We've recommended tha past Presider Bishop of the Pentecostal Churches of The Apostolic Faith Int'l. He and others saw the car that my husband bought from World Hyundai, so he and other are in the process of changing their vehicles for Hyundais, there are 44 churches in Illinois, with 2/3 of the churches are in Lake and Will County. I expect many families will be visiting World Hyundai in search for a new vehicle.

From chgo i bring my car in for oil changes everytime i have gotten my car serviced it was always something else needed i have a factory warranty and also a extended warrnty but it covered nothing for me says the repair man but i was told to bring my car back in on one occasion that they were gonna fix it yet another empty promise they told me i have taken my car out to the dealership and my car still was never fixed when they told me it would be . I live in the city to come back n forth for nothing was a waste of my time and im a very unappy customer .......

The salesman was professional and hospitable.My car came with 3 months free Sirius xml radio and I already had a account with them so when I called to add my new car and get a credit for the 3 free months they said my dealer had already taken care of it.They commented to me that my dealer did an excellent job and not all dealers go that far.

My experience with Chris Davis was hands down amazing! From the time I called in explaining to him that how frustrated I was with car shopping to the time I walked into World Hyundai. I had bought my first car from World Hyundai and wanted to trade it in. However, other dealer didn't want to offer much for it. That all changed with Chris! Chris got me a great offer on my trade in and not only that but he help me pick a vehicle of my choice to consume the ret of my negative equity in my car! Chis put me in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata with a lower % I had !! But the story get even better, not only did Chris provide me with a deal I absolutely couldn't walk away from but he noticed my husband was paying 23% on his Chevy Impala. Chris took that as a perfect time to be blessing to us and got my husband out of that bad car deal ( not to mention my husband was at work). But put my husband in a 2017 Hyundai Sante FE at a3.9%!!!!! My husband works almost 2 hours away from World Hyundai but he was elated to drive there and get his new vehicle!!! I have already referred two more people to Chris! and anyone else I know car shopping I will always refer to him as well! Chris was absolutely a blessing and I will always work with him!

After being extremely frustrated by 3 other local Hyundai dealerships I decided to check out World Hyundai and let me tell you, World Hyundai was by far superior. Chris Davis and Mike Jones are great people to work with. They are both very honest and straightforward (two things I never found at any other dealerships). They made my car buying experience extremely easy and painfree. They also offered me unbiased opinions when working out my payments, yes car salesman with unbiased opinions! I have no issue in saying that World Hyunda, in my opinion, is the best Hyundai dealership on the south side of Chicago. If you are looking to buy a Hyundai do not make the mistake I made by going to other dealerships first, go to World Hyundai they will make your car buying experience very worthwhile!

Very upset. I bought a brand new 2017 Elantra to take it home to find out there were noises going on under my car brought car back 3 times for them to keep sending me back. Jeopardizing my job, and also waisting gas. PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED. This is my second car with Hyundai first time I was very pleased. This time I'm second guessing abt it. I was told to download the Bluelink app by Chris Davis, but my car doesn't have it. When I went in to ask about it and was told that I don't have it, I asked why was I told to download the app if I don't have it, I was told by a different salesman, I don't know, you'll have to take that up with Chris. I thought that was an improper response for a customer. It wasn't helpful at all. I will not be recommending this dealership. I also know that you have passed up sales for a meager $800. You would not come down on the price for a customer so they went elsewhere. I don't blame them.

When i had shown will the car i had wanted and after i had the test drive we were at his desk talking and i had told him i had enough money in a money market account to pay cash and i do not understand. Why that was over looked and ended. Up having. The car financed. I feel that having it financed was a unnecessary step and hope the bank doesn't. Charge. Anything when. I really enjoyed the positive vibes I got upon immediately entering the dealership. The whole staff made me feel at home, and allowed me to feel comfortable in surveying the lot for a particular car. They even allowed me and my wife to bring in our pet dog, inside to enjoy the cool breeze of the air conditioning on that hot day! I went in to buy a car where I was placed with not one but 2 sales men you would think okay great double service! No !!! First of all i was going through a program and told the sales man what i wanted and was looking for but he wasnt trying to hear me at all he kept trying to get a cosigner and make me put down more it got to the point where this man told me that the didnt have any cars on the lot to sale me when i told them i knew what i was looking for. Finally they found me a 2000 avalon the car body was nice and it ran good but they lied about the year of the car and the mileage i was so upset. And they wanted me to refer someone oh xxxx NO!

It had wear & tear on driver seat and had 70 miles. My payments were promised under $300 and are $340. I was suppose to get Bull tickets according to flyer I received in mail which I did not. I would like to renegotiate monthly payment and/or get a BRAND new car with less than 15miles.

This was our second vehicle purchase from World Hyundai. That says a lot. since we were driving across Chicago from the far north side. We called Tom Primbas to let him know when we were coming in, and he arranged a VIP service experience for us. Our salesman, Kareem, called to verify our appointment time and talk about the car I was interested in. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, shown to a desk, offered refreshments and waited for Kareem, who arrived almost immediately. He brought a Tucson booklet with him, going over the Tucson models and packages available, pointing out the ones with the options I wanted. He found just the right car on the lot, we took a test drive, and settled down to do the paperwork prepared & explained to us by Tom. Everything from the initial call to starting our drive home went smoothly. We rated our car buying experience 5 stars***** From the time we were greeted at the door, welcomed by the staff, who made us feel right at home, well taken care of by our salesman, Kareem, who REALLY listened to what we wanted & found the perfect vehicle, to Antoine in the finance department who explained every piece of paperwork we signed. We feel everyone treated us with our best interest in mind, which is why we returned to World Hyundai for our second car purchase. We've never felt more comfortable purchasing a new vehicle, and will return again for our next one.

Salesmen Chris & Courtney was great. The GM gave me his word that the car he convinced me to get knowing that car had a bad odor will come out or he will get me out of the car. I took the car back for a month n a half each week. Service did everything they coukd but couldn't get the smell out..So the smell is still there. Yedidiah went back on his word an I'm stuck with a 2013 Kia Optima that smells like Urine, He got his Sales stalled me till I made my first payment knowing that he was not getting me out the car. I took 2 of my nieces this year to buy a car from them and look what happen to me.. Sad.. What happened to a Mans word..I'm writen tbe Better Business Bureau. .

I received a phone call from one of their agents telling me they could help me get a car even after I explain my credit problem. I didnt candy coat anything i gave them the brutal and raw truth. She told me she had a finance company that was willing to work with me and to come in anyway. I said i didnt want to waste my time if it wasnt true and she assured me that it wouldnt be a waste of time. I went in and what do you know it was a waste of time. The finance manager apologized gave me some intructions and sent me home. A month later I did what my option was to get financed called them and told them EXACTLY what i did. They said come in we have your file pull up you good. Guess what i wasted time and gas again. I told them they my gas needed to be compensated. They told me no. And that i should have gotten that the first visit. They same guy that worked with me from the first visit worked with me the second visit confirmed they didnt give me anything. They answer was still no. Dont go to this location if you are in the market for a Hyundai. They will LIE to you and tell you anything just to get you in there. They are not honest people at all. They are all LIARS!

DAVID KING, BRANDY J and ANTWON WADE are the main 3 reps that left a bad taste in my mouth. I took time out to come and see if my sister who I co-signed for could refinance her car. Long story short the person in finance (ANTWON) refused to come and see me, I'm assuming because I didn't mention that I wanted to buy another car. David the sales rep, asked for my ID and started filling out an application for a new car WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I asked him why he would ask for my ID and start an app with out my permission, he pretty much was dumb founded and wanted to hurry and run my credit, I'm glad I didn't give him my social!! unbelievable! After going back and forth I finally asked for Antwon, the finance guy. He REFUSED TO COME AND TALK TO ME! once again because I wasn't buying a car that day. The funny thing is I did plan on coming back for a new car but I was unsure of what I wanted I was still researching and reading reviews. I will be writing to BBB.

Not horrible, long wait to get into finance after being told it would only be 20 minutes. After a long wait the second day I was to bring in one document and grab keys. I was promised my car would be ready, it was not ready. I could barely make it home with the amount of gas put in the car. I also was promised the salesman would call me with mats for the car since there were none in mine, he never did. The car was not detailed as I was promised it would be.

I was in the process of buying Hyundai Genesis and interacted with sales people from this dealership. I had specifically asked for the two colors that I was looking for and options on the car that I wanted.I was told via email that they have the vehicles of my description and can come in. I called them to confirm the same before leaving my house (1 hour away) and took appointment for same. I told the sales person that this is important for me as it was my wife;'s birthday and it was importat for me to buy the vehicle of her selcted color for me and explained where I was driving from.After reaching the dealership I was told they dont have the vehicle - then they tried pretend that the set vehicle will reach to them on Monday. It turned out two days later that even Hyundai regional office was trying to locate a car of my choice color from somewhere outside so I dont know how their statement of they will have that vehicle on Monday delivered by Hyundai (not acquired from other dealer) made senseI hope car companies take strict actions against such behavior and impose some penalties for showing complete lack of respect for their potential customers as this caused loss of time and money for me. It was a huge disappointment for my wife wasting so much time on her special day and just to find out we have been given false information Wish there was a way to give -ve stars on this page for this experience

if i could give this place zero stars i would. I was lied to every step of the way. They had a trailblazer online and i really wanted it so i went down there to get approved. My credit isnt the best but they approved me for what i wanted. Told me the car was away at detail and would be ready later. The salesman Josh, which i later found out was the 16 year old owners son, told me it was pulled up front ready to go. I arrived there and when i walked in Josh immediately passed my paperwork to another salesman who had no idea what josh promised. They said they couldnt find the trailblazer when just 20 minutes before Josh told me it was ready to go. More lies later and after i demanded to see the vehicle, they pulled it up and i found out it had no power steering and a check engine light was on. The truth finally came out and they said they needed to put 2,000 into and charge me more after they fixed it. I said this was absolutely ridiculous. In between all of this they tried selling me a different car which was the same price as my trailblazer. I needed a car so i said ok ill take it. After i said ok they came back and said another salesperson might sell it. I had more than enough at this point and got more upset. They took back the sale and said i could buy it. Lied again and the car turned out to be $3000 more than originally said. I was lied to more times than i could count by numerous people. It wasnt just one person it was the whole business. This place is a joke! Nobody should ever waste their time here no matter how good of a deal they say the car is because its a lie! This place sucks!

I have purchased many cars from different dealerships, and I have never experienced greater service than I have at World Hyundai in Matteson. Their entire team was amazing. I was looking for the best price for a new Santa Fe, I received numerous quotes from other dealers, but World Hyundai offered the best deal. They were very competitive with prices and interest rates for financing, no other Hyundai dealership even came close. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly. I want to tell all my family and friends about this dealership... I would never go anywhere else.

I went to World Hyundai in order to trade in my current car with low mileage and get a good price on a Hyundai Tucson (new). We were greeted by salesman Robert Blue upon entering. He was very friendly, but while we were waiting as they priced my trade-in, he encouraged me to give them a good review on this site and Facebook. I thought this was odd as I wasn't near being done dealing with them yet. After that, I was brought in to talk to the sales manager (can't remember his name). He was quite patronizing and called me names, such as sweetheart and honey, which I do not appreciate whatsoever during a business deal. I wanted around 12,000 for my trade-in because that is what it priced out on KBB. I realize I may get a little less than what KBB says, which I'm OK with, so I was willing to go around 11,000. He offered me 8,000, and I told him 'no way'. He obviously thought I was stupid because I'm a woman. We finally did agree on a price. Then, I was informed that the color Tucson I wanted had to be traded in from another dealership and would be ready in a couple of days, which was fine. I was directed to Camille, the finance manager, who handled the plate transfer and such. Fast forward a few weeks-I was told that a special deal was going on that allowed good students to get $100 toward their downpayment. I had my transcripts sent over, and Camille informed me that they were never received. What is $100 in the grand scheme of things, so I let it slide, which was stupid of me, I know. Then, I come to realize that my plate registration never went through, so I had been driving around illegally. I called Camille to straighten this out. She was very receptive and assured me it would be taken care of. Fast forward 2 more weeks. It was never taken care of. 3 or 4 phone calls later finally got me somewhere. I finally posted my frustrations on their website, and I got an immediate call from Camille saying she wanted to make it up to me with a free tank of gas if I brought the car in. Thinking this was a great deal, I brought it in and was informed that I would be taken by a porter to an off-site gas station and he would fill it up. This was highly uncomfortable as I had to drive my car with a complete stranger in it who had no idea what gas station we were supposed to go to (he asked-"where is the nearest Speedway?"). We get to Speedway, and he brings in the gas vouchers, only to be told that they were no good. Back to the dealership we went! I told him I wouldn't be waiting around for another trip to the gas station. What a waste of time. I called Camille and told her if she wanted to make it up to me she'd need to send me a check. She actually did send me one for $100, which was what should have happened in the first place. Camille was very friendly and I do believe she tried her best, but unfortunately she works for a terrible dealership. NEVER AGAIN!!

I had brought my sister in law to look for a used car. They are very aggressive and deceptive. Stay away from this dealership by all means. First when you walk in they seat you to fill out a customer profile sheet. They make you wait, take your license and wait more. We were guarded by a salesman named Damon. He was ignorant to our needs, aggressive in suggesting what my sister in law would want to buy and like most car salesmen, a poor liar. We had seen numerous cars on the the World Hyundai website that we were interested in viewing to hopefully test drive. We had brought these to his attention to at which he had said were not available for us. He then had told us that our price range was not realistic and that we would be looking in upwards of a number that was not affordable. He more than encouraged us to consider a newer car. After waiting, my wife had confronted the sales manager. He was taken aback by my wife's feelings of overwhelming uncomfortableness and uneasiness of lack of service. He had then coached Damon to let us roam the lot of their used car inventory. We had proceeded to walk around and noticed there was very little info on the window stickers and lack of a sales price. In that time period, Damon brings to the front a used silver Hyundai Elantra. The car was very dirty and stained. It had an unacceptable gut-wrenching odor. This is simply unacceptable. We then proceed to walk back into the dealership upon which a younger woman tends to us with a list of possible cars. She tries to do a hard sell on cars that my sister in law was completely disinterested in purchasing. It was obvious that due to Damon's lack of customer service the sales manager felt that maybe a woman would soften a sale. My sister was interested in a used blue Hyundai Elantra to which the car is brought around to the front. We had all gotten in and as she pulled away, the car made an annoying grinding sound. Damon had decided that turning up the radio would rectify the sound. It was an obvious mechanical issue that my sister in law related to her current car. After 10 minutes of driving the car and utter worry that this car may break down at any point, we returned to the dealer lot. Damon was less than slick in admitting to there ever being a problem and still pushed on with the sale. All in all, 2 hours had elapsed and with this experience, I will never return to this dealership nor could I in my right and sound mind recommend purchasing from this dealership. We did purchase a car the same day at the Toyota dealership in the same automall for a few thousand more. The level of customer service was definitely a difference between night and day.

Overall had a good experience. When I first went in was skeptical was told that I would be approved for any car on the lot with no money down which of course was not the case. I did however did get a car that I wanted for a fair price with a very low down payment. The only major complaint that I did have is that I was told that the car was newer and had some options that it did not have before I saw it. I will say that I think that Edwin was giving information on the newer model of the car that I was not able to get. However I did get a Charger and I love it!

I love my two Hyundai vehicles. They are both very well built, reliable and in four years they each have 13,000 miles each and are garage kept. Taking them both in for the stop light switch recall and oil change I took a test drive of the new Sante Fe. Yes it is a pretty bauble. To make a long story short, I am loyal to the brand but the sales experience is a joke. I am a business owner. They approached with a deal shorting me on the trade by $4,000, increasing my payment by $100 a month ($50 would have hit the mark) and presenting me with a number scribbled on a piece of paper, not a formal written proposal. On top of it, I sat there for a total of 90 minutes over two days for this poor excuse of a sales experience. I don't do business that like that. I will go back for my oil changes but that will be it.

When I cam to the dealer, I was looking to buy a used Jetta. My sales associate, Tom Vitogannis, approached me and showed me the Jetta they had on the lot. It was red and I wasn't really a fan. He then showed me the Hyundai Accent, which was nice but didn't have the feature I was looking for. Tom then showed me the Elantra limited and it was perfect for me. It's exterior was silver with black leather interior and featured leather seats and a sunroof, which was two things I knew I absolutely wanted in my car. It was still chic and stylsih to complement my personal style. We test drove it and he proceeded to tell me all the feature that car had that I wasn't aware of, such as strteaming my music wirelessly or talking hands free. He was kowledgable of the car and also the other cars on the lots because I had many questions and he answered them all. Buying a car is a big purchase and I wanted to be sure. After talking with Tom I was confident this was the car for me. When we were discussing price, I was given an excellent trade in value for my previous car and informed of my warranty as well as what additional ones could be purchased. Had it not been for Tom's excellent customer service and product knowledge, I would not have purcahsed this car and would have continued looking for my Jetta. I can say with confidence I am more than satisfied with my purchase and love my car. I would refer this dealership to anyone. Great job guys!

Our experience with World Hyundai could not have been any better. From the moment we walked through the door we knew we were in the right place, there was no feeling of being pressured at all and everyone was so polite and helpful. I was going in there on a lark Saturday 03/30/2013, I didn't know I'd be walking out of there with a 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor. I had been wanting to trade in my Dodge Neon for a few months and tried one other dealer, South Chicago Dodge who fed me a load of BS as far as a trade in ($500? Yeah, right!) Angie Mac is one of the best salespeople I have ever dealt with! She gave me good reasons as to why I should stick with the Endeavor, as I expressed my doubts about driving an SUV (I have never driven one before). I was still a little hesitant, but once I took a test drive, mulled it over the weekend and came back Monday to pick it up, All I did was climb in and got comfortable, I was glad Angie made this suggestion. I'm still testing stuff out with my car, but I am so glad I went there for my SUV and I will be back there to purchase my next car!

Purchased my Hyundai Entourage 4 years ago and brought it in for its 75,000 maintenance check. As always was treated very well, driven by their courtesy vehicle to have breakfast and picked back up as they worked on my car. Oil change was free as always and deducted from the maintenance fee. And as always, car was washed and clean for free.Service and employees are always great here.

I had previously purchased a vehicle with them and when I came in for a car wash I noticed that there was a special on tinted windows so I asked about that. I was then informed that I could get a really good deal on a newer version on my car and I told them it would have to be fully loaded. Well I got my fully loaded car and now I really happy with it. My intention was not to come in and purchase a vehicle. I just got a car this time last year and was jus browsing. After browsing, I found that I really liked the 2013 Hyundai Tucson and all it had to offer. Edwin told me that the ball was in my court if I wanted to get it that day or wait. I went ahead and decided to get it! Edwin did such an amazing job at getting me what I wanted and even went above and beyond to make the process smooth and quick. There was no sitting in the dealership for almost 9 hours like I did before :( He is a very personable person and made sure i was comfortable with what I was being offered. Great experience with everyone we spoke with at World Hyundai. I cannot remember everyone's names, but every employee we worked with made this whole purchase a great experience. We only walked in to get a price, and we walked out with a new car the deals were too good to pass up. Their eagerness to get us the best deals available was amazing. We are so happy and surprised that we will be getting free oil changes and unlimited car washes (inside and out) for the entire time we own this vehicle, as well as the surprisingly amazing extended warranty we were able to purchase. The after-market sales guy, Luis, I think, sold us on a Clear Bra, which we had never heard of but cannot wait to have installed... We absolutely love our new car and will recommend World Hyundai to anyone and everyone we know!! When in the market for a new car in the future, we will definitely always come to World Hyundai!

We brought our SanteFe in just to get an oil change. And then we met Angie, She was very courteous, knowledgable & patient. She finally got my dad to take a look at the 2013 SanteFe, and advised him that we had over 120,000 miles and that things may start to confront us as far as pproblems. We sat and went over the numbers, took it for a test drive and A miracle came Dad agreed to get the 2013. It is wonderful and so wass the atmosphere at World Hyundai. I will recommend them to anyone I know in the market for a new vehicle!

I actually came in to get my oil changed on the vehicle I had. Mike asked me how long I had it. I told him and he said "Let me see if we can put you in something new." I was reluctant because I do have some credit challenges. However, I will say that if there is a way Mike will find it. I give God all the glory for putting the right people in my path to bless me. He had Angie to pull up my file and I was blessed to drive out in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. It is the car I wanted!! Go to World Hyundai and ask for Mike Jones or Angie Mac!! My father was an auto mechanic and looked over the work that World had completed. He said they were very thorough and did a great job. Be warned this dealership is dishonest. I came in with a pre-accepted quote (using carwoo.com) for a specific model Accent. I had called to confirm the car would be on site and the price was correct beforehand. They told me they would bring the car in for me the next day and confirmed the offered price. Once I walked in on the next day to purchase it I was told the car I had requested was not on site because they would need a down payment in order to get it in. They then brought in another salesman (or sales manager) who tried to sell me a lower model car in a different color that was on their lot for the same price on the quote. After insisting that I wanted the color and style that was in my quote they offered to find the car I wanted from another dealership and trade for it in a couple of days if I agreed to the purchase. Once we secured the car the sales manager proceeded to tell me that they could not offer me the car at the promised price, and that the offer should have never been accepted by their office. After haggling with them for about an hour I finally agreed to purchase the car at $500 over my accepted quote. In the end I believe I received an ok price for the car but it was not worth the 3-4 hours of waiting around and haggling with them. I would have preferred to have bought the car from a closer dealership who does not accept customer offers online or over the phone and then completely rejects them when they walk through the door.

I wanted a carfax for the vehicle I was intrested in. I was put off at the showroom, called 2 times for that afternoon and was told the woman who printed them was not there. The manager called me and told me the car was clean, a new car without problems. I finally got the car fax the next day after signing for it. They LIED. The car had a major accident, airbag deployement and 2 owners. Outright LIED!I would never buy a car from an out right liar!

People, pay attention to these reviews. You will notice a trend for World Hyundai in Matteson. They are bait and switch artists, deceptive, and time wasters. There is a reason why they are the lowest rated Hyundai dealer in Illinois. I just wish I would have found dealer rater before wasting my time.I applied online for car loan on a Friday night because I was going to purchase a car Saturday morning. The loan company must sell your information because I got a call first thing Saturday morning from World Hyundai, a place I had never visited. It just so happened that a car I was considering, a Veloster Turbo, is a Hyundai. I hadn't had the chance to drive one yet because at this point they are still pretty scarce. The woman on the phone called and said "You are approved for any car on the lot". I mentioned that I wasn't looking for any car, but a 6 speed Hyundai Veloster Turbo. She "checked the inventory" and told me she had an automatic Veloster Turbo on the lot and I stated I really wasn't interested in an automatic. She put me on hold and when she returned she told me she had a Red 6 speed Veloster Turbo at another store and could have it onsite in 15 minutes. Wow, that was exactly what I was looking for! I asked her THREE TIMES IF SHE WAS SURE she had a 6-SPEED, RED, VELOSTER TURBO. THREE TIMES! to which she replied she did have a 6-SPEED, RED, VELOSTER TURBO. I made an appointment to show up at the dealership.Two hours later I arrive to the dealership, after coming from another State I might add. I was asked to meet with a particular salesperson. I met with this salesperson. The first thing he does is pull out the old "4 square" and asks "how much do you want your monthly payment to be?". I said, son, I am not here to talk about payments, I am hear to test drive the 6 speed Veloster Turbo that you brought from another dealership. If I like the car then we can talk about the financials. He looked at me kind of strangely and says he didn't know if the car had arrived yet.So I sit and wait, and wait. They bring another gentlemen who calls me to his desk, and I wait, and wait. He finally comes back and brings me to the corner office. Here waits the sales manager. He was a nice enough guy, but he is the one to inform me that no, they do not have a RED, 6-SPEED, VELOSTER TURBO. You know, the one I confirmed with the person on the phone THREE TIMES and drove in from another state to see.He then went on to say that the Veloster Turbo is such a hot car that I would need to purchase the car before I test drove it! While I don't think he was trying to be THAT deceptive he should have said that the cars were in such short supply the only way for the dealer to get one is to pre-order one.He then tried to sell me three or four other cars. I am really particular about cars. I drive a TON of miles. If I am going to be spending that kind of money on a new car I am going to get exactly what I want. I declined the other cars.I am not sure as to the legality of bait and switch. It is just plain wrong to waste someones time. I am sure as a business model it will get enough people in the door who just don't plain care or don't have the intelligence to know they are being duped to purchase a car. It probably pays for all of the balloons and gold chains. But here is the thing, they wasted 2 and half hours of my time. They lied to me. When someone wastes my time like this I will let other people know about it, as a public service. I also work in sales and would NEVER conduct business in this manner. It is just plain wrong.To top things off, they called on Tuesday to say they received a Veloster Turbo in that was already sold but I could come in and drive it if I wish. Great, how would you feel if the car you just purchased was test driven all day? That is if they even had one, period.Sorry World Hyundai, right after my visit to you I drove to another dealership of a competing brand and bought a car. Brand spanking new. Guess what? I even paid more for it! Why? Because they were honest and did everything I asked.

I purchased several cars over the years from all kinds of dealers but the service I received from World Hyundi was supreme Tom Vitogiannis was my Sales Professional. I must say Professional he was he answered all my questions and concerns he used no pressure to sell. When I got there he came upto me told me his name and said he will be over to the side if I had any questions. I looked at the car with no one trying to sell me anything. Nicelly done Tom!! after picking the car he made sure there was no time being wasted. He had me approved (With not that great of a crdit record) and in the car within an hour which was gret since I had two kids with me now I'm a very Happy owner of a 2012 Veloster. In all my experiences with dealerships so far, none have been better than World Hyundai in Matteson. They treat their customers with respect and worked really hard to get me the exact car I wanted. I bought a 2012 Veloster in Vitamin-C, and it was really hard to find. But they really took care of me and now I love my car! Overall, great experience and I would not hesitate to buy another car from this dealership, and to also recommend it to friends & family. :-)

This place is Awesome!! We bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited and the entire transaction was quick and painless. Our sales guy Eric Drew was excellent and comes highly recommended!! Eric was very attentive, had lot's of product knowledge and was all around the best car salesman my husband and I ever worked with. He gently walked us through the process and explained everything in great detail. I was even impressed with the test drive, Eric wanted us to get a really good feel of the car first and foremost while most car salesmen want to rush back to crunch numbers. Our entire experience at World Hyundai was nothing short of positive, even the GM worked magic at getting us the price and terms we were happy to leave with, I will come here again and again. This place sucks!!!!! I went there after speaking with them on the phone they promised me a GREAT DEAl and a low rate. When I go there, they wanted me to pay 620.00 a month for a 21,000 car and give the 2,000 down. The rate was ridiculous. They lied and the Finance guy(found out he was just another sales person) hid from me after the sales lady told him I was not going for it.On the bright side, I went to Nissan with the same credit and got a 2011 Altima 1% interest rate 500 down and 400.00 payment. Don't waste your time at World Hyundai!

I've purchased many cars over the years but my recent purchase of a Hyundai Elantra at World Hyundai through Dennis Wippo was hands down the best car buying experience I've had. Not only did he get me a better price then the other places I visited, it was the sales experience that had me return 3 months later to buy another new car through him for the second driver in the house. I have 2 Hyundai dealerships closer to home but they made it worth it to me to make the trip. They've won customers for life.

This was the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. After communicating with Ken and Melissa, upon entering World Hyundai I was given to an assistant salesperson, Rory Clemons. Next I was told that the car that I was interested in buying was at another store by Ken (Kareem) because a client wanted to see it over there and he would call to see if they could bring the car over. Rory then informed me of another story. Rory informed me that the car was originally at there store but was shipped to the Family Hyundai Store because that was where it was to be kept. Rather Ken (Kareem) was truthful or Rory, approx. 1 hour before arriving to the World Hyundai dealership I specifically asked if they had the car there since I would be driving a distance to purchase the vehicle. Upset, I still decided to go along with the car dealership and ride with Rory to the other dealership. The only loaner car Rory could get was a 2007 or later Hyundai Accent. This was a little inconvenient for the 3 people (including myself) plus the salesperson. Rory informed us that the ride would not be long. How wrong could this be, we rode from the Matteson, Il dealership to the Tinley Park dealership whic was quite a drive.The ride over was very uncomfortable. The Accent shut off 4 times(the four red lights we unfortuanetly encountered) and the fact that we(the client) had to inform Rory to place his seatbelt on. During the ride Rory also asked very personal questions, (twice), specifically asking how I had come into such a large sum of money to pay for the car. I was very disturbed by the way the question was repeatedly asked. Next after seeing the car at the Family Hyundai dealership, I asked Rory what approx. the price would be after taxes. After hearing the price I informed Rory that the price was too high and I would have to pass. Rory then called his boss and they told me that they would be able to work out the price and to have me drive the car back to the dealership. With all of the transporting of the vehicle, the mileage had exceeded the internet mileage that brought me to the dealership in the first place. After driving the car back to the World Hyundai dealership, I then reinformed Rory of the price that I could pay. The price that he returned with was approx $500.00 over what I was planning on spending cash to buy. His boss, an african american whose name I did not catch, then came out and informed me in a very sassy and unprofessional tone, "I think the problem is we are showing you to much car. It doesn't matter if you're paying cash or financing, it's the same to us, when the bank pays us thats like cash. I don't mind dropping the price if I'm going to lose $300 but if you're talking about $800 you're talking about somebody losing there job." Why is it so much? "You live in chicago and the tax is 9.2% plus the license plates, if you get a car today we're going to give you license plates." I have license plates already that I want to transfer. I then told the saleslady that I would still pass because that was just $500 more than I planned on spending. The saleslady abruptly got up, showing us her back and walked away. While she was talking I did my own math(thank you for calculators on cell phones) and found that the price of the car(which I rounded up for quick computing) with the 9.2% taxes would have still been $400.00 less than the price that she claimed it to be because of taxes. I also went home and added the fees and still came out cheaper than the price she quoted.The overall service of the World Hyundai dealership in Matteson was deplorable and unprofessional. If the service had been better I might have spent the extra $400.00 (no financing) for the vehicle. However, after there salesmanship I am upset that I spent the $30.00 in gas to get to there establishment.

One I recommended this place to my son who is in the military because of the pick a payment advertisement and the sales man told us that it's to get people in. They only do the pick a payment once a month. They tried to get us with a high down payment. We left. They wasted our time more then we wasted theirs. I wil not be recommending this place to anyone. Libertyville Chevrolet took very Excellent care of us. We appreciate world hyundai for not being a help, it gave us a better place to shop for a excellent used car. I perferred the hour & eight minute drive to Libertyville Chevrolet it was worth the gas v.s the thirty minute ride to world hyundia, that really was a waste of gas. I saw their advertisement on TV. They stated Bad Credit, No Credit NO PROBLEM. I called and talked to Jimmy. I was very honest about how bad my credit was and that I was in Chpt. 7 currently. He said NO PROBLEM, come on out! I told him I really live far and don't want to come out for nothing. He asked for my social and ran my credit telling me NO PROBLEM. YOUR FINANCEABLE. I told him I have no money down and please don't lie to me since they are so far. Again, very rushed he said YOUR APPROVED come on in! I went there and RIA the finance manager said I need a co-signer or money down. I explained I told them I didn't hae any & why didn't she tell me over the phone. She said she would call me Monday. She blew me off and didn't have the courage to call. I called several times, she dodged my phone calls and Jimmy gave me the run-a-round on the phone again. Angie was nice, I have no problem with her. Just because people have hard ships in life you shouldn't LIE TO THEM and make them waste their time and gas. They could have told me that over the phone. If I DO raise the down payment, I'll give it to a dealership that isn't SMARMY.

Never knew how much I would like the new Sonata. I was shopping for several days and could not find the sonata I wanted. I called World Hyundai and was transferred to the general manager, Tom Primbas. He immediateley listened to exactly what I was looking for. He told me he did not have the car with the options I wanted and that he would locate the right vehicle if what I didn't like wasn't in stock at the moment. He made an appointment with me for the same day. I then visited the dealership and essentially worked with the general manager and his staff until they found the car I was looking for. Without their help I would have spent weeks driving around to different dealerships. They located the car for me right away and I picked it up the same day!! Love my car and thanks for the lifetime free oil changes.

I inquired online about a vehicle on Sunday 04/11/2010. I was called on 04/12/2010 by a RIA, finance manager, later on by Shelly, who also stated that she was a finance manager.They both stated that I was approved for the vehicle of my choice, a 2007 Cadillac CTS for 14,995, it had 51k miles.I explained to the dealership a couple of things, my credit score is below 500. I have been 1 week on the job, and I have about 4k in collections.I explained I had no co-signer, or down payment. I explained that I was in the process of consolidating my bills. I have secured 40% settlements on every bill I owe.I explained that I wanted to only start a relationship with the sales people, since I would be buying later on in a couple of months. I explained that I wanted to wait because I am paying 2k to take all debts off my credit, my score will be updated shortly after and I would return to the mid's 600's where I was before all the discrepancies appeared on my credit.They told me no! dont wait!) they said I was approved and that I had no need to wait, they encouraged me to come in.I told them I would put nothing down, they said no problem, and you are approved for the car you want. When are you coming in?They scheduled me to go in on 04/12/10 at 8:45 pm after work. However I didn't go because something smelled fishy since the beginning. I decided to go on the following day, 04/13/2010. There I was greeted by Jim Clark who began asking questions as if this were the first time he heard about me. He told me he couldn't get me approved without a co-signer; he said I needed also 1000.00 down at least. Upon that time I informed him that I would be contacting the Illinois Attorney General and other authorities to inform them of their violations and misleading tactics.He then brought a lady by the name of Camille Wright, she said she was the finance manager, she said, "there has been a misunderstanding; you are approved for a 7,000 loan with a 31% interest rate. Obviously this was so that I would turn away, because I never asked for that, she also stated that everyone is approved for that loan, everyone. But I asked everything over the phone, and this statement was never made. They said I was approved for the vehicle I wanted with no money down. THEY LIED.Furthermore there were no vehicles for that price anyways. This people wasted my time, and ran my credit unnecessarily while I am trying to rebuild my credit. They wasted my gas and my time. Later on around 4 pm, I start reporting them on Yahoo as well as other websites, and they shut down my comments, you can't even find them! (Organized crime & a violation of the Freedom of Speech.)I found out I am not the only person they have done this to, this dealership needs to be shut down! They need to stop misleading consumers, they are using the same tactics as Bob Watson Chevrolet and South Holland Mitsubishi, and the government shut them down, if you ask me uncle SAM forgot about World Hyundai in Matteson! I am upset that they made me come in for no reason, when I told them all I needed was some guidance so that when I was ready I would choose them, instead they lied to me as if I have no rights, as if I am no one, and as if the law does not apply to them and they are above it.

I called at the drop of a hat to get my oil changed and the service dept. said to come in right away. As soon as I drove up the manager took my information and said the car would be finished within the hour. It was finished under an hour and the best part was that it was free. This is a terrific dealer and I have recommended many people to them. I will go there for my next Hyundai!

I have 2008 Hyundai accent. Malunction light went on so I brought it in. I did not have an appointment, was seen quickly. Service employees clear about what was wrong, reset the computer. I was not charged and they washed the car! They were very polite and efficient.

Friendliness: Treated me with like a customer (unlike almost any other dealer I've been to) and remained friendly throughout negotiations. The overall experience was far better than other experiences I've had in the past with dealers. Being a first time car owner coming to a service dept. at a dealership could be intimidating. I was surprised to find that everyone in service went out of their way to be informative. They did a great job at answering all my questions. Without having an appointment, my car was look at within 10 min. The day before I had my car in with Merlin with ignition problems that they could not remedy. World had it fixed in 2 hours.

Customer service is terrible here in that they use deceptive methods to lure people into the dealership. What happened was, I called and spoke to Melissa. I asked her if they would match another Hyundai dealership's price on a Hyundai Elantra. I gave her the price, and she said they would not only match but "beat" the price. So, that statement got me in the door. She told me to ask for Melissa, who they couldn't find and she couldn't then help me so they gave me to a different salesperson. After about 1.5 hours (due to making you test drive a car, talk to this person and that person, etc), the best price they offered was $5000.00 above what they told me on the phone they would "beat". Brian (the owner or general manager--not sure which)offered the excuses: Melissa should never have promised you a price on the phone and that he just yelled at her about it, or she must have meant the price she promised included your trade-in, or that number the other dealership gave you is impossible, etc. Regarding the claim that Melissa's promised price included trade-in rebate, this was totally not true because I had called her back a few minutes later after the initial phone call to clarify that my trade-in would be taken off on top of the price she quoted. Brian made it seem like it was a one-time mishap and they don't usually do business that way. (I'm very skeptical about that, but I'll let the reader decide that). I have since had experiences with other dealerships (Toyota and Honda and Kia) that did not use such deceptive practices. They quote you a price by phone that they honor. They don't lure you in the door with a lie.

Well, the deal went pretty okay. We did not get our promised price because the salesperson who was supposed to be here and give us the deal was NOT here (although he will still get credit for the sale, if you can believe that!!!). However ,we were able to settle on a decent price that we were okay with...the car itself is great ('09 Elantra GLS model) and I liked its performance on the test-drive. I look forward to permanently owning it. All in all, I would say that this dealership is so-so though.

Our experience with this dealership was very favorable My wife and I particularly appreciated the fact that the sales person, Regina was not pushy. She patiently listened to our needs snd proceeded to assist us along those lines. We settled on a one of the certified cars after only one test drive. All the people who serviced us from that point to the very end of business that day were all pleasant, efficient, and thorough. Graham was particular efficient, and he impressed us with his candor and essy demeanor. He was easy to work with and we enjoyed doing business with him.We were particular impressed with the fact that we walked away with our plates the same day!!. Every time I go back to get my car serviced I am always greeted with a smiling staff willing to work with me.
