I recently purchased a 2012 BMW X5 from a different franchise dealership and decided to get it serviced at quality imports BMW. After getting a diagnostic done I was told the fuel pump had to be replace I was so upset!!!! Due to a planned fun getaway that will have to be canceled due to the circumstances. Bill in service was awesome and genuine. He pulled all the stops to make sure the plans stayed on track. Definitely great customer service and hard worker with a great team. This is the 5th car my husband and I have purchased from Quality Imports in Fort Walton Beach, but our first experience with their BMW dealership. Tom Wilcox, our sales associate, was key to ensuring a stress free experience. He met us on the lot the day we were "window shopping." Despite 100 degree temperatures that day, he climbed in the back seat and patiently answered my many questions while pointing out the many features of the car. Several weeks later, when we took possession of our new car, Tom once again thoroughly reviewed specific details of the car which put me more at ease driving off the lot. Loving my new BMW!!!!

Ron Vernon and the Quality BMW staff made this my best car buying experience ever. The online ad was very descriptive and contained detailed pictures. I scheduled a test drive with Ron to take place during my lunch hour and he had the vehicle out front waiting for me when I arrived. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and its features and didn't try to limit the length or route of the test drive. After the test drive, we negotiated a very fair price in a record-setting time. Total time from when I started my 30+ minute test drive to when I had signed all the paperwork and the car was mine was less than two hours (note: I came in with a pre-approved loan, which probably sped up the process a bit). Ron then had the car detailed that same afternoon while I was back at work and I drove it home that evening. This was a pre-owned vehicle and although Quality BMW could have sold it to me "as is", they went the extra step and had a red juice stain in the back seat carpet professionally removed (their normal detailer was unsuccessful), and they also ordered a new center console piece to replace the existing one which had some dings in it at absolutely no charge to me. I will definitely refer my friends and family to Ron in the future and will certainly be a repeat customer myself.

Bad experience!!!! I was just on spring break when my daughters BMW started acting up. Being 500 miles from home I wanted to visit what I thought would be a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and reliable business. Explained my issue to Bill in the service department, waited a few hours before calling back - everyone was at lunch, and when I did I was told it would be a few days and over $1,800 to fix it. I asked if they could just do enough so I could drive it home, but I was told that they couldn't. Decided to get another opinion and drove the 1 1/2 hours back to pick up the car. I paid the $150 for the diagnosis and that is when my day started getting much better. Pep Boys - in Destin - said they couldn't get to it in the time I had left but they recommended "Tuffy Tire &Auto Service in Destin - 850-269-2300 - ask for Kendall. My $1,800 bill just got reduced to $150. They were extremely busy but I told them we were supposed to leave in the morning. They squeezed me in yesterday and we just drove the car home without the first problem. I don't usually write these, but my experiences were soooo different that I wanted to share my story.

Excellent experience. I am a first time BMW owner & of the new 2 series, 228i. Quality Import's Tom Knighten, helped me choose a car on the lot that was best for me. He explained the options and differences between series with no pressure whatsoever. I felt I was in control the whole way. It was comforting seeing previous BMW owner's coming in for a trade up or just up grading their own series. That was the deciding factor and gave me a very fair price for my trade in. No hassles, no tricks, just upfront pricing and friendly customer service. This was our second car from this dealer.Ron Vernon was very helpful explaining all the new car high tech options to my wife (the actual driver). Spent time making my wife comfortable in the car. Helped set up bluetooth with her phone, sat radio subscription, and other programmable options. Very quick and easy deal--all paperwork completed in about 30 minutes with tag and registration on the spot. Ron has been a great pleasure to deal with in purchasing my certified preowned BMW. That said, do not take delivery of the vehicle if there is anything that you have greed to have addressed during the purchase process (we owe list). What started as a great experience, has turned irritating as I have tried for the past month and a half (almost two months) to get the we owe list completed. That said, each time I call Ron is extremely friendly, professional, and has good follow up. I know that a lot of this is out of his control, but I had hoped the dealership would be as eager to recondition the vehicle as agreed as they were to sell it to me in the first place. However, I must give them a great deal of credit for sending a driver an hour away to my office pick up the car to perform the work and another hour to return it to me....unfortunately they had completed only half of the agreed upon work when they returned it to me. I'm still trying to get the other items resolved. I feel partly responsible as my gut told me not to take the car home until everything was the way we agreed, but at everyone's encouragement and reassurance that they would fix everything, I took it anyway.Yet even with my ongoing frustration, I would still highly recommend doing business with them as it was a good buying experience...just make sure the car is how you want it before you buy it and drive it off of the lot.

This morning getting 2 new rear tires, flat spotted after being at Quality BMW in Fort Walton, this afternoon getting new windshield cracked while at Quality BMW in Fort Walton. Avoid Quality BMW in Fort Walton. total $650 and I haven't replaced the radar detector or GPS that were stolen while Quality BMW had my car. Also another dealer found one bolt on track bar mission and another loose after the car left Quality Imports.

Tom Wilcox was straight forward, honest, and provided everything promised from the first contact and first visit, through all communications. All agreements through discussions were kept and provided all the way through the transaction and completion of car delivery. Outstanding! I talked to Ryan during final paperwork and communicated I had a payment due on my trade on the 30th of November. The result was a payoff of the trade within the same work week of my delivery and 1 day prior to the 30th. Again, outstanding!

The sales people at Quality BMW were extremely friendly and courteous. I couldn't have asked for more. However I am a bit disappointed with the services I was faced with after the sale. Just like any typical car dealership, they'll make time for you no matter how preoccupied they are just to make a sale. I understand that concept. It's a place of business and I applaud their efforts for entertaining me. On the other hand, it doesn't seem to matter whether I buy a vehicle from a street corner or from a reputable dealer, the after-sale mannerisms always seems to be the same. I am just a number.I took delivery of the 2011 BMW 335d (CPO) October 12,2012 (Friday). I was verbally informed that the 2nd set of key would be mailed promptly to me on Monday (10/15/12) via Fedex along with my touch-up paint. I called and attempted to get in touch with anyone several times beginning 10/17/12 to check on the status but all I got was their voice mail. I did not leave any messages. I stopped by at the dealership(10/18/12),after driving from Mobile,AL, only to be told that it will be mailed Friday(10/19/12). They could've at least given me my touch-up paint while I was there.As for the vehicle itself, this is my 1st BMW vehicle. I am a present owner of the following vehicles: 1. 2010 FJ Cruiser (Trail Edition) 2. 2008 Lexus ISF 3. 2006 Range Rover Sport 4. 2004 Honda S2000 5. 2011 BMW 335dThe issues I have with the BMW 335d after delivery were: vibration from the front end at speeds of 75-80 MPH. The car would pull slightly to the right. I didn't test drive the vehicle prior to delivery given that it was being advertised as a CPO with reasonable mileage and I'm purchasing it from a reputable source (Supposedly).

The entire staff at Quality BMW not only exceeded my expectations, they clearly worked to ensure further satisfaction than what was already obtained. I had been preapproved on a loan with a satisfactory interest rate from USAA. The finance associate was not satisfied that this was the best rate, and although I was already satisfied with it, he worked to find an even lower rate. This is not just exceeding my expectation, it suprised me that he would go through the extra effort.The sales associate, Mr. Maraman, was very professional, personable, and quite knowledgeable. He seems to sell cars based on customer interest, rather than being overly "pushy" or suggestive.If I didn't plan on keeping this car for a very long I would certainly deal with Quality Imports agains before any other company.

We have been trying to get our 528I repaired from 13 August-22 August. we took the car in because the alarm kept going off, On or about 15 August, We were notified to come pick the car up because it was fixed. Before we got there the sales representative heard the alarm going off and told us there was still a problem. So we left the car an additional week. Today, 22 August, we went to pick up the car and we discovered before we left that the siren did not work. We were told the siren broke during the hour we were in the waititng lounge. As a result, we decided to take the car home and discovered on the way home that the speedometer dosen't work. The car is at the dealership and we don't know exactly what we will do now besides contact the Manager.

Took the car to be seen for a low front tire.Told it was fine just needed some air. Next day still low and when I attempted to drive it it was apparent that it was indead flat. Had it towed to the dealer onj sunday and tire not even examined by 4 PM the next day. Told I would just have to wait for a call. Still dtried to tell me it was fine when seen on my first visit. You think? Still waiting for a call.

I am still unsure as to level of recommendation.Purchase aspect was great - with one little misstep of final cost. But overall I am very happy.However, the dealership does not seem to have its act together in regards to warranty and or use of the car.- CarFax stated warranty was in effect - dealer took a week to say "Car came from Gemany - no warranty". Aren't all BMW's German?- To date they have been unable to tell me how to make minor changes to functions of car - like blinker set up.Not sure I would want them to service the vehicle.

I went to the BMW dealership because I liked the look of their coupe, too. Neither dealership had the cars I wanted to look at and told me they would have one soon. Tom Wilcox kept me informed on the arrival of a BMW to test drive, while I had to make the effort of contacting the Cadillac dealership time and again. I test drove the BMW and loved the car. I had driven a Cadillac for years and out of loyalty delayed making my decision until test driving their car, too. After 7 weeks of waiting, the Cadillac salesman said he had a 2011 and a 2012 and if I gave them at least $500 on a credit card, they could hold the car for me to test drive. The next day I drove to the dealership only to find that the 2011 was sold and the 2012 hadn't actually arrived. I still couldn't test drive one. That was the last straw. I told them they had lost me as a Cadillac customer and I was going to buy a BMW. Tom Wilcox was so patient with me making my decision and wasn't the least bit pushy. We priced the car with only the options I felt I needed, then with the navigation package and the price of the one on the lot with the sports package. The prices were so much more reasonable than what I was quoted by Cadillac. The added options did not increase the price very much so I decided to buy the one on the lot and drive it home that very day. They gave me a great trade in deal on my ancient Cadillac Allante and there was a good reduction in price incentive on the financing. Tom Wilcox was wonderful explaining the incredible navigation computer system and he showed me how to operate all the unique gadgets such as remote starter, seats, trunk expansion, etc... This car is beyond great. After dealing with the dishonesty and the cool indifference at the Cadillac dealership, the treatment I received at the BMW dealership was incredibly pleasant. I actually felt like a valued customer by everyone there, especially Tom, as opposed to feeling like an inconvenience at the Cadillac dealership. When I got home, there was a message asking me to reconsider Cadillac and another call 4 days later. I told them what I thought of their attitude and that I was really happy with my new BMW and how much better the BMW treated their customers. For the first time in years, I find myself making an excuse to drive somewhere or going for a drive just for the fun of it. The experience from dealing with Cadillac, buying the BMW to driving my new car was shared with all my friends at a large dinner party over the weekend. I'm going shopping today, not because I need anything but because I want to drive my new BMW. I will likely see Tom around town and will have to give him a hug when I see him. I have a great car and BMW has a great staff at Quality Imports. "Quality" is appropriate, not just the vehicles, but the quality of the people at the dealership could not have been any better.

This is the second BMW I have purchased from Tom Wilcox. I came back to Tom because he has always answered my questions through the years of ownership when I would either call or come by the dealership. He knows all the features of the car and explains them well. Tom is very professional and is truly a pleasure to work with. Dealer had great no hassle/no haggle pricing through internet. Price was among the lowest I could find for the model I was interested in. Dealer was recommended by USAA Car buying Service. Sales staff, especially Ron, was very helpful, thoroughly explained the car features and options available in different models. Sales staff wasn't pushy, only interested in providing the information that I required to make a purchase decision. Overall experience was very good and I highly recommend this dealer.

I've bought my last 3 vehicles from Quality BMW and the last two from Ned. He's gone over and above to answer questions and provide help when I've needed it, not only when I've been shopping for a car, but when I've been in the dealership having maintenance work done on my existing vehicles. He's knowledgeable about the vehicles and very responsive when I've made requests of him. I'll definitely go to him again when I'm in the market for another vehicle.

Ron contacted me within 24-hours to tell me he had located the certified pre-owned BMW I was searching for online. All of our communication and negotiation was via Quality BMW's website, phone, e-mail and fax. He helped me close the deal quickly within three days, and was always easy to contact for information. Ron took pride in delivering my vehicle by having a special detailing service performed. When I arrived at the dealership, Ron took the time to explain everything about the vehicle and BMW's outstanding quality and service. The dealership was even serving Louisiana-style gumbo & rice, submarine sandwiches, cake and beverages when I went in to finalize the deal!

My wife and I were in Destin, Fl.Georgr for our granddaughter's wedding. On Sunday nite we discovered a message of "low tire pressure". Having run flat tires we were at a loss as to the proper action. Being almost 80 years of age, I felt I had best call BMW assist. We were told to go to Quality Imports in Ft. Walton Beach the next morning before starting home.We called at 7 am Monday and talked with the service manager, Zack. We were at the business by 9 am and have never been treated with greater courtesy and prompt attention to our problem, which turned out to be very minor. We were out and on the road in less than twenty minutes. We are indebted to Zack for this treatment. We live only 100 miles from that dealer and you can be sure they will be at the top of our list when we need service or a new BMW!!!

There are four family members in my family: Me, my wife, and my two children. And even though there are only four of us, we for some reason own 7 Mercedes Benzs. Let me be honest, I love mercedes, not just because of the quality of the car, but because when I buy a benz, I get a promise that if something goes wrong, my car and I will get the best treatment possible. Unfortunatly, this promise does not hold any value at Quality Imports. They always seem to find some excuse as to why I cannot get a rental car. They never seem to fix the problem the first time. They find every possible way to blame you for car issues, so that the warranty does not apply. And lastly, they are quite possibly the rudest people I have ever dealt with. One person on this site mentioned that the service technician told her she didnt understand electronics and that she should go read a book(or something like that), well they told me that I didnt understand what proper service was, and that I should take the car to another dealer just to see that they would treat me the same. Well, I took their advice, and boy am I happy that I did. Because the Pensacola Mercedes dealership is so much easier to work with, and actually gives me mercedes rental cars when my cars are being serviced. I cannot believe they call themselves "Quality" Imports. The only people that are nice to you there are sales persons, and once they sell you that car, dont expect to see their smiley faces again. Anyway, I think I have said enough. Bottom Line, dont waste your time andm oney at Quality Imports.

I will NEVER bring my BMW to Quality Imports again. I will try to make the information short and sweet:While shopping for my BMW I was consistently disregarded as a customer -- I was repeatedly asked to "bring my husband" next time and they will "allow" me to test drive the car!---(just a small sampling). Perhaps they did not realize that I was willing to drop 70K, cash on my dream car. This lack of respect ( asking for help in viewing the insides of the BMWs, test drives, etc --- yet being ignored/disregarded and at one point, when a man did come out to help me, flat asked, "are you sure this car is in your budget") --- (this is over a two month period of "shopping" there), cased me to buy my dream car 60 miles away in Pensacola, FL at Sandy Sansing BMW.Once I had my dream car, my iPhone connecter went bad (had a short in it). I did not want to drive all the way to Pensacola for service (BMW can be serviced at any BMW Service center---not just the one you bought your car at), I made a service appt. at Quality BMW. I was told that I was not "allowed" to have a courtesy car since I "chose not to buy from my local BMW dealer". So, I waited while my car was being looked at. After 5 minutes, Mike Shoemake came and told me, "the comupter says there is nothing wrong with the car..." It was obviouse...the iPod/iPhone adapter was not working. He repeatedly tried to blame this on my iPod being defective---so I pulled my iPhone and my two son's iPods out of my purse and showed how NONE worked with the car...yet worked just fine without being connected to the BMW adapter. He insisted that I should "go back to school" and learn about how electronics work! I explained to him that I am actually a Computer Scientist working for Eglin AF Base and felt sure that it was simply the adapter cable that may be bad...He continued to insult me and question all possibilities that I was bringing up (including print-ups from BMW service info / troubleshooting info for the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS other BMW owner's had had--and the fix--(gasp, a NEW adapter cable!)...I should add that I printed this information right from the BMW website!Needless to say, he refused and explained that Quality BMW could not fix a car that does not have a problem and asked me to leave. I immediately drove to Pensacola, Sandy Sansing BMW and without appointment, they helped me, no problem (even with several other customers in the waiting room). When I explained the problem to them (and showed the same aforementioned documention to them) THIS (Sandy Sansing) service dept. knew immediately what to do. They gave me a new adapter cord, tested ALL the iPods, and the iPhone...and I was back on my way home within 30 minutes.I have other horror stories to share about Quality Imports. I bought a brand new Toyota Sequoia from them in 2002 but I really am not interested in continuing to spend my time on them. Please, for your own good, trust me BUYER BEWARE, BUYER BEWARE. Trust all of the reviews that you will find about Quality Imports and Quality Imports BMW (they are the same place) of Fort Walton Beach, FL...THEY ARE HORRIBLE. THEY ARE A RIP OFF. BUYER BEWARE, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

This is a little late, but just now came across this site. For the past 3 years that I've had my x5, other bmw owners would strongly stress I must never take my car to Quality. I live in Destin and Sansing just isn't convenient. Eric & Kaylin (formers) offered EXCEPTIONAL service! Since, the quality of service, isn't quality-quite condescending! They do keep their employees moving through a revolving door. Perhaps, starting w/ the basic concept of customer service 101 would improve their quality. Several months ago, was told the entire driveshaft would have to be replaced about $4(k)! Second opinion,one small part-less than $700. No prob w/ drive shaft! Last visit, same scenario. Told part needing replacement $1500. Insisted just replace a component of the part $300. No problems since. Money is tight now, so I question everything. Just wonder how many thousands of $$ wasted when I complied to stroke the check w/out second opinions!I know there are other service centers in area that refuse to do any business from Quality. They insist on ordering my parts from AL. My son has a 4-runner. Went by Quality to get a key made. Oh, this is going to be $150. It takes about 1.5 hrs. to program, blah, blah, blah. Went to a lock & key co. Charged $65, 10 minutes!!! Buyer Beware!!

Went in for an oil change. Was told several hours later that my oil pan was cracked and my radiator was leaking. They told me they could give me a great deal on my vehicle as a trade in to something that wasn't so damaged. Well, my husband looked at the engine and realized they were full of crap. My Toyota Sienna has been running fine ever since we left that day, over four months ago. The service department is running a major scam. Oh, and I forgot about the transmission fluid they showed me: it was dark...and they said it had to be replaced. I had just had it changed less than 2000 miles before. After we left, we checked it - freaking clean as a whistle. THIS DEALERSHIP/SERVICE DEPT WILL NOT DEAL HONESTLY WITH CUSTOMERS - DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER WHAT.

I probably should have read this review before doing business with this dealership. I have never seen such a dysfunctional dealership in my life. Seriously, the Mercedes guys hate the BMW guys and the salesmen fight with each other over customers. In the end I bought the car I wanted, not because these joker's convinced me to, but because my wife told me she loved it.

You guys must be one of the worst dealerships. Jiffy Lube has better service than you people do. You say something, and then you end up extending my cars service. You did not do a detailed inspection, and you guys are not friendly in the least bit. Quality imports? Where the hell is the quality? the only person who knows a damn thing in your store is andy Reid, your master Tech. You guys take in so many different cars, that you end up taking a week to fix a problem, and you dont even do a decent job of it cause you are always rushing people out. I have had all my bmws and Mercedes serviced by you, but not anymore, i know my wife said you were bad, but in all honesty you people flat out SUCK. And as for Curtis, tell you employee Gram, to stop being bitter about losing his postion as service manager, cause he's getting on my nerves the way he thinks hes better than everyone. I cant believe i gave you a 1 for friendliness, you dont deserve a 1, let a lone a negative 1. <br>-Burt<br><br>Sandy Sansin is much better than you people.
