*** Mechanic Special *** This 1998 BMW 540i needs work. The engine starts right up and runs smooth. The transmission has fresh fluid and it goes into forward and reverse gear easily, but the brake calipers are stuck so those need to be addressed before it can be driven. It does move forward and back but it needs to be towed away to make it drivable on the road. There will be some suspension parts that will need to be freshened up, such as sway bar links, bushings, struts etc to make it a nice smooth driving car. The interior is nice without tears or holes or rips. Id say the interior is much nicer than most of this age. It has all the bells and whistles and in working order. The car has had its catalytic converters replaced by test pipes. The car sounds like a real V8! It is a complete car that starts right up but needs work! Its a mechanic special and we will pass it on cheap to someone who wants to bring it back to its glory!
