West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this 2002 Ferrari 575M Marenello F1 5.7L V12 Coupe in striking and rare 'Giallo Modena' (Fly Yellow) with 'Nero' leather and with only 7,202 original miles!5.7L V-12 engine11,592 kms = 7,202 milesAutomatic transmissionGiallo Modena exteriorScuderia shieldsNero interiorOwner's manual and booksCar coverBattery chargerTool kitPurchased new at 'Ferrari of Ontario' in Toronto, Canada on 9/11/2002 and recently imported to the U.S with 11,592 kms (only 7,202 miles)! In 1996, Ferrari replaced their flagship mid-engined Testarossa / 512 TR / 512 M series with the 550 Maranello. The 550 signaled a historic return to a front-engine/rear transaxle configuration that was last seen on the legendary 365 GTB/4 Daytona 25 years earlier, with a much more comfortable and spacious interior compared to the cars mid-engined predecessor. The Ferrari 550s 485 hp, 5.5-liter V-12 delivered tremendous performance as evidenced by a 0-60 time in the low 4-second range, and a top speed of close to 200 mph. Best of all, this performance seemed almost effortless thanks to power steering, a comfortable driving position, and an abundance of torque available from the engine at lower rpm.Ferrari built 3,083 550 Maranellos from 1996 through 2001, all with 6-speed manual gearboxes. In 2000, the company also built 448 examples of a 550 Barchetta convertible that had a simple canvas top for those that wanted an open-air driving experience as well as even more exclusivity than the coupe. Factory options were minimal, with an especially appealing one being Daytona style multi-colored seats inspired by those from the early 365 GTB/4.The Ferrari 575M Maranello (Type F133) is a two-seat, two-door, GT launched in 2002, essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina and replaced by the 599 GTB in 2006. A total of 2,056 cars were produced, including 246 with 6 speed manual transmissions and 1,810 F1s. The car further evolved the stunning 550 Maranello design, with a revised front end and a new interior. Most importantly, the 550s engine was increased in size to 5.75 liters, and power jumped to a hefty 515 hp. The 575 also had adaptive suspension and an optional F1 style transmission to improve driving dynamics and shift times. Updates from the 550 included a redesigned interior as well as a number of mechanical improvements, including bigger disc brakes, a larger and more powerful engine, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch). Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, the "F1" automated manual gearbox. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in centiliters, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of modificata ("modified").Both the Ferrari 550 and 575 have proven to be remarkably trouble free as far as late-model exotic cars go, with engine work, including the replacement of timing belts, performed with the engine remaining in the car, which is a major advantage over its predecessors in helping keep some of Ferraris notorious upkeep costs in check. The cars also provide a thoroughly modern interpretation of the classic Ferrari GT.In 2005, Ferrari released a GTC handling package and a Superamerica version which was a convertible version of the 575M Maranello and featured an electrochromic glass panel roof which rotated 180 at the rear to lie flat over the trunk, along with a higher output tuner of the V12 engine raising HP from 508 hp to 533 hp, which Ferrari marketed as the world's fastest convertible car, with a top speed of 199 mph. Total production of the Superameria amounted to 559 units; this number followed Enzo Ferrari's philosophy that there should always be fewer cars available than what the market demanded with only 43 of those having a manual gearbox. In 2003, Ferrari announced the sale of several 575M-based racing cars, known as the 575 GTC (not to be confused with the 575M GTC Handling Package). Following the success of Prodrive built 550 based racing cars, Ferrari wished to offer their own racing car to customers. This must be one of the finest examples anywhere of a 2002 Ferrari 575M Marenello F1 5.7L V12 Coupe in the most striking and rare classic 'Giallo Modena' (Fly Yellow) color with 'Nero' leather and with only 7,202 original miles![!@@Additional Info@@!]Audio System : Cassette, Audio System : Radio : AM/FM, Audio System : Remote CD : 6 disc, Audio System : Remote CD location : cargo area, Exterior Features : Rear spoiler, Lights : Front fog lights, Mirrors : Side mirror adjustments : power, Wheels and Tires : Wheels : aluminum alloy, Windows : Front wipers : intermittent, Windows : Power windows, Windows : Window defogger : rear, Air Conditioning : Front air conditioning, Comfort Features : Interior accents : aluminum, Comfort Features : Shift knob trim : alloy, Comfort Features : Steering wheel trim : leather, Convenience Features : Center console, Convenience Features : Multi-function remote : keyless entry, Convenience Features : Multi-function remote : trunk release, Convenience Features : Power steering, Convenience Features : Steering wheel : tilt and telescopic, Instrumentation : Clock, Instrumentation : Gauge : tachometer, Seats : Front seat type : bucket, Seats : Upholstery : leather, Powertrain : Limited slip differential : rear, Suspension : Suspension control : electronic, Airbags : Front airbags : dual, Brakes : ABS : 4-wheel, Brakes : Power brakes, Security : Anti-theft system : alarm, Security : Power door locks, Stability and Traction : Stability control, Stability and Traction : Traction control
